It's nice to see that the Darden Restaurant chain is finally reconsidering their position on providing health coverage to their hourly workers. Hey guys, your workers shouldn't have to suffer just because you hate president Obama.

The Orlando-based business received national backlash after it experimented with hiring part-time workers in four markets to measure the potential costs of health care. The outcry led to Darden revising their earnings into a downward projection." [Source]

"The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has found that the Foothill Ranch-based Wet Seal illegally discriminated against a former store manager after one of the company's executives complained about too many black employees at a store in Pennsylvania, according to a New York Times report and an attorney involved in the case.
Citing evidence of racial discrimination, the director of the commission's Philadelphia office found that Wet Seal's "corporate managers have openly stated they wanted employees who had the 'Armani look, were white, had blue eyes, (and were) thin and blond in order to be profitable,'" according to statements from attorneys involved in the case." A society that does things like this—and our society does them across the board—is massively corrupt and heading for a crash.
By the way, I should make clear that undeserved promotions in the military are not limited to nonwhites and women. This perverted system also leads to the advancement of incompetent whites into positions they have no business holding. In keeping with the hypertrophy of privilege that characterizes contemporary America, the U.S. armed forces have become essentially a “perk factory,” greatly expanding the number of general officers and admirals so as to give more people promotions, along with the fantastic privileges, pay, and pensions that come with those positions.
Today’s military is directed at advancing and preserving high officers’ careers, rather than giving them high command—or removing them from high command—based on their demonstrated ability and success or lack thereof. An example that comes immediately to my mind is the way President Bush, after he finally removed the clueless and incompetent George Casey as ground commander in Iraq, rewarded him by making him Army Chief of Staff—the highest position in the Army.
Looking at the across the board dysfunctionality of American institutions in 2012, Affirmative Action has become utterly unaffordable.

*In 1976, he was released after serving three years in prison for stabbing a woman in Charleston, S.C.
*In 1977, Crawford was sentenced to 24 years in prison for stabbing five women, ages 14 to 28, over a five-day period in Charleston.
*In 1991, just months after his release, Crawford was sentenced to 184 days in jail after being convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
*In 2008, Crawford was released on parole after serving 13 years in prison for attempted murder for stabbing his 31-year-old co-worker 13 times.
Now Crawford with his amazing record is of course not representative of all blacks; I’d say he’s at the far right end of the black violence bell curve. He’s almost (well, not quite almost) as atypical of Negro violence as Einstein is of Caucasian intelligence. However, just as there are no black Einsteins, there are no white Lucius Crawfords. Sure, there are plenty of white savages, white mass murderers, and white serial killers, but I’ve never heard of a white man who stabbed multiple women, was convicted, got out of jail, immediately started stabbing women again, was convicted again, got out of jail, started stabbing women again, and on and on and on. Sounds like the White folks have a discrimination case at Wet Seal, why are there so many Black Employees and not a representation of society?. ReplyDeleteEven in franchise restaurants, where the employee turnover can be high just by the nature of the work, it pays to have steady, experienced kitchen & hospitality staff. You retain that staff by treating them well, paying them well, & giving them fair benefits. So many times I've been served lousy food in chain restaurants that I had previously found edible, & been told by the server, "Oh, we have new cook." Well, where the hell is the cook you had last week? Oh, he found another job.

And now employers, like Walmart, are looking at avoiding the law’s costly mandates by dropping health insurance for previously covered employees.
Walmart, the nation’s largest private employer, plans to begin denying health insurance to newly hired employees who work fewer than 30 hours a week, according to a copy of the company’s policy obtained by The Huffington Post.
Under the policy, slated to take effect in January, Walmart also reserves the right to eliminate health care coverage for certain workers if their average workweek dips below 30 hours — something that happens with regularity and at the direction of company managers.
Walmart declined to disclose how many of its roughly 1.4 million U.S. workers are vulnerable to losing medical insurance under its new policy.
The left will blame Walmart for this, which will ignore that Obamacare was the impetus for Walmart’s decision. Supporters of Obamacare seem to believe that the law can impose costly new mandates, and that the employment/insurance/health care markets will just sit still for it. But markets are dynamic. New mandates are going to increase the cost of insurance and care. Higher costs for insurance and cares will lead employers to find ways to avoid those costs.

Any reasonable person does not shop where there are a high number of black people present, either as shop staff or customers. This is one of the reasons for the wild success of internet commerce. It assists with the avoidance of certain groups.
