No money to spend on "booze and women". The rich have it all.

Image result for chuck grassley imagesIf you are in the American middle class, republican lawmakers want you to stop spending your disposable income on "booze and women". Apparently only large corporations and the people who run them know what to do with extra money. This is why the GOP is working so hard to make sure that they (the top 1%) have all the disposable income they need at our expense.

There is no doubt that the republican tax plan will hurt average Americans, but they have to go through with it because their wealthy donors demand it, and since most of them make well over six figures, they will all benefit from it individually as well.

The economy will be losing well over a trillion dollars. So how do we replace all that money? If you said with major cuts to entitlement programs move to the head of the class.

"WASHINGTON — Republican lawmakers have largely dismissed concerns about how their $1.5 trillion tax cut would add to the federal deficit. Now, some Democrats are warning that the tax rewrite would ultimately be financed by gutting entitlement programs like Social Security and Medicare.
The possibility of cuts to safety net programs appeared more likely on Tuesday, as the Congressional Budget Office w Congressional Budget Office warned that the tax bill could set off an arcane budget rule that would make deep cuts to Medicare over the next decade.

Republican lawmakers have turned a blind eye to the effect of the tax bill on the deficit, saying the tax cuts would essentially pay for themselves through increased economic growth.

But the party of deficit hawks is beginning to once again complain about the ballooning federal deficit, suggesting that spending cuts must be enforced to reduce the national debt, which has surpassed $20 trillion.

“You cannot get the national debt under control, you cannot get that deficit under control, if you don’t do both: grow the economy, cut spending,” said Mr. Ryan, Republican of Wisconsin.
The Republican tax plan, he said “grows the economy. We’ve got a lot of work to do in cutting spending.”

Isn't it amazing how deficit hawks can all of a sudden care less about the national debt when a democratic president is not in power?

It seemed like only yesterday that some of these same people were all over #44 for his spending habits. The thing is, in Obama's case, government spending was actually helping underserved and poor people. In a just society that is who our government has an obligation to protect and look out for. Not corporate fat cats who have already taken a big chunk out of the American pie. They don't deserve any of what's left for the rest of us. So why is the GOP working overtime to give it to them?
Rhetorical question, we know why:

"In his “trickle-down” CNBC interview, Gary Cohn said something extraordinary. “The most excited group out there are big CEOs,” he told John Harwood, referring to the tax plan. If there’s one thing everyone agrees on, it’s that this GOP tax proposal makes the rich richer. Yet there’s nothing in the bill to specifically address income equality and stagnant wages. Wages will remain the same unless a CEO voluntarily gives someone a raise."

Seriously, far more dismaying beyond words is then candidate trump promised his elderly supporters that social security and Medicare would not be compromised.

And, Mr. Field, not sure whether you stll browse Philly.com comments, but there’s a poster known as “Gibsmethat” with the primary perspective that ALL impoverished and underserved communities want nothing more than handouts.

Now this segment of the electorate along with the lobbyists and high donors are in receipt of the long-realized Christmas wish. Reflect back to once vibrant communities across the nation such as Youngstown, Ohio. Minimized or no resources due to “tax reform,” yet are the job creators re-investing in these communities that also provide livable wages and health care?

How about quality schools facilitating the kind of education that supports the next 21st industry such as robotics?

I am really at a loss as to how Republican voters who are not rich manage to be so incredibly stupid. It takes very little effort to see that a tax law like the ones your (GOP) legislators just passed will screw everyone who isn't already rich. It's absolutely a plutocratic piece of legislation.

But stuff like Chuck Grassley just said should also be maybe, possibly a bit of a hint that the party is not on your side? He's saying that anyone who doesn't have enough money to avoid being hit by inheritance tax must have blown it all on partying.

Any idea how big the exemption is for inheritance tax? It's $5.5 million dollars! Your heirs already won't pay any tax until the money you're leaving them reaches that threshold. So, in short, if you have less than $5.5 million in assets at death, Grassley thinks you must be a feckless loser with terrible life priorities.

This makes Romney's obnoxious 47% speech (to which the obvious response is: "Hey, scumbag, half the country pays no income tax because YOUR ROTTEN PARTY HAS MADE THEM TOO POOR TO BE ABLE TO AFFORD TO PAY INCOME TAX!") look egalitarian.

This is Grassley's 99% speech. He apparently has contempt for literally everyone who isn't a tycoon.

There, I fixed it for you.

“I think not having the estate tax recognizes the people that are investing, as opposed to those that are just spending every penny they have, whether it’s on booze or women or movies,” he told the paper.

Gee, Chuck, I wasn't aware that "women" were an item I could purchase. Didn't we settle that issue with the thirteenth amendment? And what about the more than half the population who are female? Does spending their income on housing and food count as spending it on "women"?

The estate tax doesn't even kick in until you have $5.49 million, so you would have to be pissing off $3,000 a week for your entire forty year working life in order to even get to the very bottom of the bracket.

Unless you are already rich, which is what the estate tax is about: taxing dynastic wealth.

Fuck you, Chuck.

If the republicans cared so much about family-owned farms, they could have included a provision to protect said farms from the full brunt of the estate tax. Complete elimination of the estate tax for all millionaires is the most obvious giveaway to the wealthy. It makes you blink and shake your head when true believers and operatives refuse to see it.

2) I hope all those yahoos that think the POTUS gives a rats ass about them remember the following:

Middle Class Tax Cuts Are As Follows: ROBBING FROM THE POOR TO GIVE TO THE RICH

Millions WILL LOSE HEALTH INSURANCE

NO MORE PROPERTY TAX WRITE OFFS

NO MORE MEDICAL DEDUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL EXPENSES
(so if you get sick or hospitalized or become temporarily or disabled and lose your income cause you can't work...the POTUS says fuck you)

NO MORE TEACHER DEDUCTION OF $250 TO BUY CLASSROOM SUPPLIES

NO STUDENT LOAN DEDUCTIONS (only kids of rich white CEO's get educated)

NO MORE CHIP PROGRAM FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN (but CEO's will use our money for corporate jets)

AND THE LIST GOES ON!!!

BRAZEN GIVE AWAYS TO THE WEALTHIEST 1% WHILE NOTHING TO THE REMAINING 99%.
ALL THE SENATE REPUBLICANS AND THE CORPORATIONS JUST PAID THEMSELVES WITH YOUR TAX DOLLARS. DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH THINKING IT'S GOING TO TRICKLE DOWN TO MIDDLE CLASS FOLK.

CORPORATE GREED....

They don't care about family-owned farms. This has always been a talking point, not a genuine issue with the present arrangement of inheritance taxes.

Under the existing tax laws, only a grand total of about 80 small businesses and farms, nationwide, are even affected by inheritance taxes each year. The so-called "victims" of inheritance tax that Republicans so loudly object to are basically imaginary.

Everything about the Republican Party is some kind of a scam.

"I think not having the estate tax recognizes the people that are investing,” Grassley (R-Iowa) told the Des Moines Register, “as opposed to those that are just spending every darn penny they have, whether it’s on booze or women or movies.”

What an assinine statement to project to the world. You nutjobs really are that out of touch with your constituents-other than the koch bros.

We spend every penny we have every month to pay bills, buy food or medicines because fatcats like you right wing nut jobs carry koch bros water to make sure honest working people can't get ahead.

Your taxcuts for billionaires is self explanatory. Only the wealthy come out of this wingnut disaster ahead. The rest are tossed to the wayside by design because that is what today's right wing party does. Phony kristians. What would your pretend god tell you about lavishing wealth on the money changers?

Every last republican politician should be ashamed enough to immediately resign, but then you have feathered your retirement nest eggs at taxpayer expense already. No hard times in your future.

What a mealy mouthed disgrace you are. Resign!

Not a loving or forgiving constituent, Michael

I sent this reply to Grassley yesterday in response to one of his monthly Chuck Talk newsletters. I did not add my last name here, for obvious reasons. I suspect I will get a reply from a staffer saying how nice it is for me to let them know how I feel and they will take it under advisement. Riiiiiight, fellas.

Conyers said he quit today. Wingnuts have joined backing Moore en masse because ethics are for Democrats only.

George Soros recently gave 18 billion to outfits funding free expression. Don't you love wingnut consistency? Deficits are bad unless we are in charge. Morals are for Dems. We demand their accused resign while we tell our people it is up to the voters to choose. I knew somewhere along the line wingnuts were in favor of choice.

Actually, wingnuts that run some red states have tried to eliminate minimum wage so workers can be paid less than they get now. Snott Wanker in Wisconsin is one of the koch bros marionettes and maybe South Dakota has kicked this idea around. Sound Dakota voters voted to pay teen beginners the same minimum wage as everyone else and wingnuts in Pierre told voters that wingnuts knew better and reinstated a law that allows employees to pay teen workers a buck an hour less.

You guys are missing an important point. This isn't a white or black thing.

There was obviously some sort of "slush-fund" being used by those bastards in Congress to shut up would be accusers...using tax-payers money. FOR YEARS.

Yet, none of them knew a damn thing about it. Right.

SOMEONE was administrating these funds. You loves your Special Prosecutors. Funny, I don't hear anyone screaming for one.

All the while, these same jackasses are determing our taxes, and health care...while they skate along happily in both avenues.

If you can't see this....piss on you.

Truth is I was mocking Sen. Grassley for signaling out men, primarily adding women are not averse to guilty pleasures of life, including booz.

By the way, another truth: My beverages of choice are dessert wines and beers. The most my system can tolerate of Jack Daniels is teaspoon :-)

- Most of it IMO is about spite much more than it's about stupidity. You've heard the old saying: "He'd cut off his nose to spite his own face." Well, these are people who are willing to screw themselves and their own kids merely to get a chance to inflict pain on all the people whom they irrationally hate.
