Have a irie holiday mon!

I am heading out of town for the holiday season. But I will have my lap top and my blackberry so I will be posting and commenting whenever I can. (You know me, I always have something to say)

So anyway, I want to wish everyone reading this a happy holiday season.

I know I wasn't very nice last year, but this year I vowed to be more in tune with the holiday spirit......

So big up to all of you and your families. Enjoy them while they are here.

Peace.

I want to thank my man over at "good rasta man" for having this image on his site so that I can lift it.

  3. Field Man,
    Hope you have a great holiday. I'm off to warmer climes from now till NewYears myself.
    Don't lighten up a bit. I intend to be nastier and more rabid with the new year. The proles just don't get it.

    Field,

    Thanks for the fine picture and the excellent link. Some famous Christmas words are: “Peace on earth and goodwill to all men (and women.) That’s good stuff, everyday. However, Bob Marley said it better when he wrote the song, “War.”

    “Until the philosophy which holds one race superior and another inferior is finally and permanently discredited and abandoned, everywhere is war ... and until there are no longer first-class and second-class citizens of any nation, until the color of a man’s skin is of no more significance than the color of his eyes, me seh war. And until the basic human rights are equally guaranteed to all without regard to race, there is war. And until that day, the dream of lasting peace, world citizenship, rule of international morality, will remain but a fleeting illusion to be pursued, but never attained ... now everywhere is war.”

    Best wishes for happy holidays, to all.

    P.S. Will you be attending any kaya-k races?

    Happy Solstice:

    RA heads north on the morrow;

    the earth tilts southward;

    a new Sun is born, bursting forth from loins of the constellation Virgo;

    light (the amount of daylight begins to lengthen) returns to the world.

    Enjoy your time with your family man. I have enjoyed reading and commenting on your blog this year. I also want to thank you for giving me the inspiration to start mine. You are a stone cold trip man. Keep telling it like it is.

  17. Happy Hols and Safe Travels, Field.

    Just think: next year at this time, our long, national nightmare will be over.

    President-elect Barack Obama will be busy assembling his cabinet and the Motherfucker from Midland will either be in prison or on his way to the Crawford, TX pig farm.

    Blessings to you and yours, field, and all those who labor and fight in the fields.

    My family and I follow Kwanzaa principles on holidays and throughout the year. I don't always do well, but I try.

    Here's hoping that you continue to post on current affairs from an African perspective, break some funny, some serious knowledge on the sidebar that may we didn't know before. More than all of that, we hope you continue to help us, to keep alive the struggle to improve and go forward as a people on the streets, in the workplace and the home as an African people, as a people forever in the fields.

    Happy Kwanzaa!

    Love the Rastafarianclaus. But I do hope you got permission to use the image and did not "lift" it as you said.

    The web is a great place, but just because an image is there does not mean you can appropriate it. You're a lawyer. I'm sure you understand the concept of copyrights. :-)

    Happy Holidays.
