Throw Missy from the plane.

Looks like Mr. Morton (because he is always salty) flashed his famous temper at a New York Times reporter on Friday. And I gotta tell you, I saw film clips of the little dust up, and I swear I thought they were going to throw Missy from the damn plane. Memo to Missy: Never ask tough questions when you are over twenty thousand feet in the air with Mr. Morton.

But I have to give Elisabeth Bumiller her props; she asked a tough question, and she kept pushing for the truth. "You said you never had a conversation with [John] Kerry about being Vice President." Oh come on now Elisabeth, he lied. Just like all politricksters and others of his ilk do. But then Mr. Morton lashed into poor Elisabeth. He got in her face, and for a moment there I thought he was going to have Hotel Hanoi flash backs. "Elisabeth you look just like one of those 'gooks' I hate s0 damn much right about now, I sure hope you have a parachute."

But seriously, can you imagine if this had been the "O" man? They are killing the guy (Obama) because one of his foreign policy advisers called the Ice Queen a "monster"....ahhh hello? She is a fucking monster. I mean the poor lady had to resign for crying out loud. That shit led every major newscast on Friday. But not a peep about straight talk damn near throwing poor Missy from the plane. "Why are you so angry?" she asked him. ~~Because I am 72 years old and I am running out of time. And if that uppity Negro from Illinois wins this presidential election I will never get another shot~~~~OK, he didn't quite say that, but somehow you just know he was thinking it.

Now folks will try to say it's because it was a New York Times reporter and Mr. Morton isn't feeling the Times right about now. But trust me on this one, girlfriend could have been with "The Watchtower" and Mr. Morton would have flipped on her. This is how he acts when he is caught in a lie. Just check his history. And Chris you want me to vote for this mofo? I don't think so.

I don't look too hot in nuclear gray.

  1. Good grief! If Obama (or even Hillary, I grudgingly concede) had ever in his or her life uttered the word "gook," we'd be hearing about it for months on end, and it would end his or her campaign. I hope that the same will happen to Morton.

Also: it's past 3 a.m., and I have to tell someone this, so I thought that Obamaholics Anonymous might be the place to go with the news. Undoubtedly it will be in the headlines tomorrow, but it turns out that the sleeping child in Hillary's attack ad "It's 3 a.m" is now 17 years old and volunteers for the Obama campaign. She appears in the commercial because she was a t.v. extra as a child and Getty Images, the owner of the stock footage, could probably offer it for cheap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dOxaYKHJu3k

Being a teen during the 60s, I remembered how I voted for the first time. I must say now I wish I could go back to those times (but not with the same ole white males only)where not so much info was known by you for your candidate therefor you used common sense to judge a persons character. There is still too much time left and I feel that that works as a disadvantage to Brother O. He is playing against three team at present and I sure his satmina will be tested in the coming 6-7 months. Two of the teams (Team Bill, Team Hilliary, Team Salty) can almost be at rest whil Brother O fight thru this designed quaqmire. As a strategy, If Bro. O takes a pause dont panic. Continue your support for the fourth quarter. StillaPanther2.

  3. Field, am I the only one who noticed that Ms. Power looks like Amy Goodman from Democracy Now?

Also: I hate McCain, but I don't see a problem with a pol who has a temper. The day I vote enthusiastically for someone will be because I know the candidate actually clocked somebody in the right eye over politics.

  4. John McCain probably contracted syphilis from nailing Vietnamese poontang during the war. He neglected to get it treated and forty years later, his brain has dissolved into gray mush. He's a full-out psychotic now and more dangerous than a rattlesnake with its tail cut off.

  8. I saw the clip and I'm an Obamaholic. It certain doesn't look like McCain is going to throw her out of the plane (I think that's going a little too far). Sorry, Mr. Field. I don't see a story here.

A.F. -- The Seattle Post-Intelligencer posted an article on the topic, but apparently Mr. Morton has kept his nose clean since 2000.

    Field:

I took a little break to feverish finish knitting a baby blanket for a co-worker to read your blog entry this afternoon, and have to say it writing worthy of the Onion. It is one of the funniest things I've read that made me laugh out loud. There is nothing like biting satire that rings so true. Watching grandpa Monster (named by Bill Maher) stand there and just lose it. What is going to do when becomes President and need to deal with other people domestic and foreign. And you are right, he is probably thinking too himself that I'm old with one foot on the grave and the other on a banana peel.

Now I really do not understand what Samantha Power said that was so terrible particularly in the context in which it was stated. Monster can have different meaning, and Hillary is a monster when it comes to being so ambitious to win this campaign at any cost. Ms. Power did not say that Clinton was going to kill anyone. By the way, if anyone has had the chance to read Power's book "A Problem From Hell - America and the Age of Genocide, you know why Obama picked to be one of his senior foreign policy advisors. She discusses the Clinton Administration non-involvement in Rwanda and Srebrenica to name two genocides during his two terms. It seem to be a hollow symbolic victory Ms. Clinton that Power resigned considering that Power was an unpaid advisor, it only means that she can no longer speak in public about supporting Obama, but I highly doubt that she will no longer advise him about foreign policy particularly with situation in Sudan where they have both been working on that project along with John Pendergast. However, the media only pays attention more to insignificant details like the monster comment than digging deeper, but that would be taxing for them and requires critical thinking.

Gee, to me McCain didn't even look angry, just annoyed. What are you seeing that I can't?

  14. They gave Kerry hell for waffling. McBush McCain takes the cake. He's gone from being a moderate liberal to raging right wing fundie lover. This guy can't be president. Could we possibly survive another four years of corpo-fascism?

Come Field, you know you want to take a big sip. It's so cool and refreshing. It's cherry! Have some Kool-Aide Obamamade.

Hi, I'm Sagacious H and I'm an Obamaholic.

  18. Ha! Dude is annoyed--not crazy. This "temper" thing is a crazy media construct. You know how these things go, come on. Indeed you see it in the ratings grabbing re: the O man and this monster comment.

Dude's not going to start a nuke war, just like Ike told the right wingers like Dulles et al no way. I'm telling you, we are much more like to get imbroiled into some serious shit overseas, get false promises about everything from housing to credit, student loan foregiveness and health care, etc. from Hillary than from Mr. Morton. Indeed, Mr. Morton's more likely to protect BLACK people in Darfur than Hillary and any of the scum in the Black Caucus. Ask Rwandan Tutsi about Clinton foreign policy--and lest we not forget that Billary was jailing black folks over crack rather than powder 'caine and fostering the outsourcing in business. McCain's the straight dipe, man. When he said the jobs were gone forever--he wasn't saying that's cool. He never said war was cool or great. He was saying that it's time to get real about how dangerous this world is--right down to your neighborhood. He's not about false patriotism, etc.

I'm not saying he's a savior. I'm saying don't tell me Hillary's a slam dunk alternative. You said the same thing about my Baltimore girl Nancy Pelosi and what's that heifer truly done to distinguish herself from Hastert?

  19. P.S. my grandfather was a POW in WW2. Not of the Germans--of the Japanese. He said he'd rather hang with the Klan than these dudes. It was no joke "Bridge over the River Kwai" type shit. He called them "nips" etc. before he died he drove a Honda (Honda made tanks during the war and certain types of planes) and had even traveled to Japan, but lord, in his heart he still hated those m-fs. So if McCain's talkina about gooks and slopes, hey...must be hard to fathom that the same dudes who were torturing him are doing business with Bush's pals to open more Omni hotels in Hanoi...

Should McCain ever actually make it to the White House the equally old and much tougher Helen Thomas will be there waiting to question him and after that fine day he will need a vacation at the Hanoi Hilton just to relax. Anyone running for President has nightmares about that sharp old Helen all the time. And, she sits in the front row at the pressers and glares sarcastically before she even gets to ask the questions.
    Good luck with that, John.

OK, that's 2 of us who can't see the emperor's angry clothes. If that's angry, then you've led a VERY sheltered life.

Media construct, yeah: the guy's looking annoyed and she asks "Why are you so angry?" Was that her point all along?

    Chrstopher,
Ask your pal, Morton, about the Dene and Hopi people.. in what we call Arizona... he has personally intervened on behalf of Peabody Coal to steal their land (AGAIN!) and have them forceably removed.... they are fighting for their lives and their land as I write... and he had a role in stealing the sacred mountain to give to the University for an observatory..... people talk about indigenous issues as though its a sad part of our history, and gee we wouldnt do that shit today. Well, we are and McCain is leading the charge. I will NEVER! vote for him!!!!

  23. rc, Helen Thomas retired, I think.
Sorry Christopher, I am leaning more with jody than with you on this one.

I just can't vote for that guy. To be honest, I just think he is a few fries short of a happy meal.

Yes jim, I see anger where you see annoyed. I guess we see what we want to see. But I think if you looked at the clip objectively, you would see an angry old man. But hey, maybe my issues with the man is clouding my judgment as well.

I certainly cannot see myself voting for McCain unless I was smoking crack before going into the voting booth. I agree with Field and those people who like to use the word annoyed it is the same as being angry, but tomato tomatto. The reporter annoyed thus making him angry. Let's face, if he loses his cool as minor as the reporter asking him a question, what will happen when he really gets angry. I'm sorry, I do not want someone that old leading the country. Can you imagine McCain being sworn in to office and just nodding in the middle of the ceremony while standing. Hell looks like he always needs to take a nap.

  25. Come on--now you're going to bring the Hopi into it? As if the Hopi, like the Hispanics in no less than 6 Democratic Primaries, give a shit about black folks? Please--let's be coldly honest. Native Americans, like Hispanics in the SW, care only about their parochial concerns and if John McCain's messing with those, on behalf of a corporation, do you really think that Hillary Clinton's done anything less? It's what they do, and I'm not wasting moral indignation on it. But what I won't do is buy into a "Hey, McCain screwed the Indians so that means we all must band together to stop him" creed. Oh no. Don't make me go next door to my old-ass neighbor's crib and break open his display case and put on all of the 9th and 10th Cavalry (Buffalo Soldiers) re-enactors regalia and go Wounded Knee on y'all!!!

If there was anyone on the GOP side I'd be LESS concerned about I'd be hard pressed to find them. No, he's not John Adams (and trust me the white folks are going to have their eyes opened when HBO premieres that series, just like black folks have tried to avoid the hard realities of what Hillary types have done to OUR politics in The Wire, ending tonight). But he's the closet thing to a statesmen these fools have ran since yeah--Dick Nixon (who looks pretty liberal compared to the GOP of the last 20 years).

Drink the Geritol. Drink the Geritol...

    Ok... I am laughing... but seriously... ground zero in this country for the beginning of all this capitalist, emperialist, racist, homophobic, shit is literally the ground that native peoples walk on... and I personally think that maybe, just maybe, if people worked for justice for them, we might all have a little more justice for us all.... so please keep the buffalo soldier gear in the closet and have a taste of obama-aide -;

  27. A few months ago, the Geezer got REALLY testy when Dave Letterman asked him about a recent birthday, the guy couldn't admit his age. & Letterman likes John McBush & always goes easy on him on the show. He's big trouble with that temper.

Chris, be careful with that wide brush. I happen to be one of those Hispanics in the southwest, but I understand the anger. I can't apologize for the shortsightedness of other people, but let's be honest. They exist in every race.

Hmmm....looks like the Republicans don't have to try too hard with the divide and conquer shit with all the help they are getting from (?) our side this year.

It is instructive to watch how all the wingnuts have rallied around McBush when they despised him only 2 months ago. Yes, very instructive indeed.
