The wingnut's donut problem.

I swear you can't make this shit up. When I first heard this story I thought it was a joke so I was afraid to blog about it and take the risk of falling victim to a satirical spoof. But on further review, I have found it to be true. Yes, Michelle Malkin, that famous wingnut with the sharp tongue and frail physique, has taken issue with the latest ad. campaign from Donkin Donuts.

Seems Rachel Ray, to the shock and horror of all of our wingnut friends, decided to wear a "keffiyeh" in her promotional ad. for the rather large coffee chain. "Jihad Chic", "hate couture" she [Michelle] is calling it. What is the republic coming to when people can actually get away with wearing this stuff? What will they do next, wear Fidel style shirts or smoke Cuban cigars? Folks if we are not careful, before we know it, this country that we love so much will fall to the influences of those evil folks on the left. People who want to bring us down and tear down the very fabric of our democracy.....And to think this all started with the sale of some donuts.

I honestly do not know where this came from. I thought I was pretty knowledgeable about all things ideological and political that goes on around me. But this one kind of came out of nowhere. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, the wingnuts will find anything to rally around these days. Lord knows they need a cause. Things have been better for my friends on the right.

"Ahhh come on field, don't you do the same thing when you see negative and stereo typical images used in the media to portray black people? " Not quite the same thing. Now if I did an entire post ranting about the cones (the same shape as Klan hoods) that the road crews use during highway construction because they want to send negative subliminal messages to black motorist, then you would have a point. I mean that is the only analogy I can use to compare to Michelle's ridiculous stretch. Of course some of Hillary's people have been saying the same thing about you Obamaholics lately; that you are making some serious and questionable connections between what goes on this political season, and attaching some nefarious intentions to it to hurt the "O" man. Sorry Hillary lovers, I am not buying that either. If it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

Sorry wingnuts, this one ain't quacking, and it sure as hell doesn't look like a duck to me.

Why oh WHY do these "social commentators" continue to perpetrate like they're informing us when they're just part of the mass distraction machine? That chick could get Honorary House Negress of the Day anyday with some of the invective she spits. Anyways, I'm not sure if she's been to NYC in a while, but those keffiyehs have been all over NYC, and probably in many other metropolitan areas, in different patterns and even colors. Yet, the only terrorists in this discussion are those that distract us from the real issues like the war going on within and outside this nation.

    Just damn.

Jose is right, keffyehs are worn all around the city, and think you can buy them for $5 or $10. I owned myself some years ago. Michelle doesn't have anything else to do with life. I think here is some self-loathing on her part, and can't imagine that she is a happy individual. Perhaps she is the product of a person who doesn't focus on her own shortcomings, but more than happy to focus on others. She needs Buddha, and following one of the principles of using the right speech. She is a miserable and unkind person.

Shyt Michelle Malkin, I say let's boycott Wall Street for using Arabic numbers.

Algebra comes from the Arabic treatise, Kitab al-Jabr wa-l-Muqabalathat. One must be suspicious of all those 'A' making high school algebra students, too.

NSangoma, who really knows for sure about that? Some say advanced math comes from India and that the Arabic alphabet came from what is now Lebanon. And both predate Mohammad so what's your point anyway? Islam hasn't helped those people at all, it's just stopped them from advancing. Go to the library and read the National Geographic mag from February. It's about black people in the Sudan 5000 years ago. Very cool read.

Good pick up Field. Right now this seems a little harmless but its another drop in the bucket of hatemongering that surely to be stirred up as times get harder and these folks running things find it harder to fool folks about the real source of our problems.

The anti-immigrant hysteria which you exposed in your last blog is also a sign of things to come. The point is to point the finger at your neighbor rather than the folks who are really hording the wealth and making folks miserable.

  17. The right wing nuts set the bar so far out into the atmosphere that I just don't know what the left wing--I mean the center--could do to counter it. I really like your protest against cones, Field--that would be a start! But we'd have to be so shameless as to start protesting road work and boycotting whoever makes those cones and whoever owns whoever makes the cones, and I don't think we could be consistently shameless enough to pull that off. If not--even though I know you're joking--I'd be all for it! The "right" has been pushed so far right that a centrist looks like a leftist to the vast majority of Americans, and that's a sad shame. But I know that Malkin's position isn't even conservative, it's just hateful.

  19. Malkin is trippin.

I really dislike Ms. Rachel "EVOO!" Ray. Ray is clueless about cooking (which has made her very rich) so why would Malkin think Ray puts that much thought into her outfits?

    ReplyDelete
  20. You know this seems like a trivial thing, and it is, but not in the larger context. I dont even mean that in terms of racism either. What are the roles of a conservatives like Malkin, O'Reilly, Hannity and Limbaugh? Their roles are to propagate ideas, any ideas, that benefit the ruling class. What are some of those ideas?

Racism is handy because it pits us against each other, and keeps us from working together against our common enemy, the ruling class. This particular kind of racism helps because it builds racist support (or indifference) for a coming war against Iran (or 100 years in Iraq).

Wingnuts are paid to mislead people and keep our frustrations misplaced. All of them make tons of money from the corporate interests they serve. Ever wonder why there are no truly left-wing counterparts? There are no corporations to pay them.

These tactics may not work on us, but thats what liberals are for, to mislead the inteligent people who see problems in society. Obama is among them. He wants 100,000 more troops. What do people think he wants them for? I'm a black man and part of me feels good about his impending presidency, but lets be real, the president has a job to do, and it doesn't have shit to do with spreading democracy or any of that other bullshit they teach us in school. He has the job of securing resources for the American ruling class. Tha probably means war, because China and the EU aren't gonna just stand by and do nothing.

  21. Not surprising - the usual suspects are at it again.

An inane blog entry on this board was used to point to an inane blog entry on the Malkin board.

Prime the pump for attack on one of those evil "Right Wingnuts".

Hey Field-Negro - as I was watching the only thing worthy on MSNBC - their Prison series in which they highlight various correctional facilities - I saw the new commercial where they showcased their election line up of commentators.

Keith Olbermann was doing the voice over for the commercial. Get this Field-Negro - Keith Olberman said something to the effect of "America must come together in order to move forward. We must put aside our partisanship and do what is best for the country".

I doubt that Michelle Malkin has posted anything on her blog that can top this for being a total contradiction of what the author has in his or her soul.

MSNBC does a good service in their overview of America's penal institutions. This guy needs a straight jacket though.

szechuanpork 10:44 PM, I wrote nought of the Arabic alphabet; I mentioned Arabic Numbers and Algebra.

The word algebra is a Latin variant of the Arabic word al-jabr. This came from the title of a book, Hidab al-jabr wal-muqubala, written in Baghdad about 825 A.D. by the Arab mathematician Mohammed ibn-Musa al-Khowarizmi.
    The University of North Dakota

Actually, it is the decimal system not the Arabic numerals that may have been borrowed from the Ancient Indus Valley Civilizations (Harappa and Mohenjo Daro).

    History_of_the_Hindu-Arabic_numeral_system

Regardless, the numbers we use for our calculations are called Arabic Numbers.

All western scripts, including the Arabic script, are traced back to the script of KMT, the Ancient Egyptians; the Metu Neter, Greek name Hieroglyphics.

The oldest Nile Valley temples, tombs, use of the Metu Neter, are found in what is now called the Sudan.

Pre-Hieroglyphics, and proto-Hieroglyphics have been traced back to Central Africa.

Ok... cause I find it impossible to comment about inane shit.... Here is a story that is related, kinda, maybe... but in a good way... now, Michelle could have a field day with this one (pun intended!-;) also, you will not see this story in our msm. From Al-Jazeera:
    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
    Israeli award goes to Palestinians
A US scientist has donated his share of an Israeli mathematics award to a Palestinian university and students.

Professor David Mumford of Brown University in Rhode Island said he was donating part of his $33,333 portion of the Wolf Foundation Prize for Mathematics to Bir Zeit university in the West Bank.

"I decided to donate my share of the Wolf Prize to enable the academic community in occupied Palestine to survive and thrive," Mumford told Haaretz, an Israeli newspaper.

"I am very grateful for the prize, but I believe that Palestinian students should have an opportunity to go elsewhere to acquire an education," he told the newspaper.

"Students in the West Bank and Gaza today do not have an opportunity to do that."

    Studies abandoned

Israel has banned most Palestinians from leaving the Gaza Strip for years.

The move has forced hundreds of Palestinian students to abandon or postpone university studies outside the small territory.

Israel's separation barrier, in many places an eight-metre-high concrete wall, has also made it even harder for Palestinians to travel across the West Bank.

Israel says "security considerations" are the reason for the travel restrictions and the barrier's construction.

Ilan Pilo, the chief executive of the Wolf Foundation, said the foundation "does not get involved in how prize winners use the money they receive".

The foundation awards prizes of up to $100,000 "to outstanding scientists and artists for achievements in the interest of mankind and friendly relations among peoples," according to its website.

The foundation presents five or six annual prizes which are often shared.

    'Education for all'

The Israel-based foundation was established by Ricardo Wolf, a German-born inventor, diplomat and philanthropist who was Cuba's representative to Israel, where he died in 1981.

Mumford, who won his award for his work on algebraic theory, shared this year's award with Pierre Deligne and Phillip Griffiths, both from Princeton University in the US.

The professor said he did not see himself as a political person, but was motivated by his belief that academic study should be available to all.

"Higher education, access to mathematical knowledge, is something that should be shared and should be accessible to everyone."

What do u expect from a woman who is unsure of her own heritage and in deep denial? She is jealous of what Michelle and Barak have, she is upset about any caveman who dislikes her or ignores her, so her only saving grace is to act like a house negress
For eons of time she has been trying to entice some small penis who would be willing to become involved in her verbal assaults on anyone whom she has a slat picker with. Ho hum

i submit that she along with Michelle Bachman, lying go along to get along Nikki Haley, manish looking Anne Coulter, and i can see Russia, Sarah Palin would do well get together and compare notes esp about their MEN! ))))))))) lmao

Ps i would hate to see either of them go away though
