I guess sometimes even "strange bedfellows" can break up. Poor Michael (M-Diddy) Steele, the new "hip" RNC leader. M-Diddy is trying to reach out to a hipper audience and attract more black folks to his cause, so he found himself on the D.L. Hughley Show Saturday night. (What better way is there to spend a Saturday night than with a "hip" black man?)
But what poor M-Diddy didn't realize was that his republican peeps were watching, and the big Kahuna himself was not too pleased that M-Diddy tried t throw the new leader of the party under the bus. (Wait, there is no way Rush would fit under a bus. Ahem, throw him under the train...no, that wouldn't work either. Throw him under large earth moving vehicle maybe?) Michael, you just can't play both ends anymore, not in this media age. Big brother is always watching you jig.
"My parents taught me when I was growing up that you always stood behind people who defended you, you never abandoned people who stood up for you and who defended you against assault. Michael Steele was a candidate for the Senate in Maryland. Michael Steele was on this program, he got airtime on this program to attempt to refute the lies being told about him by Michael J. Fox in those famous ads way back when that were also run against Jim Talent in Missouri. I personally took time to defend Michael Steele and to rip the substance of those ads, had him on the show..."
See what you did M-Diddy? You done pissed off your benefactor. He helped you raise money, had you on his show, and defended you when you needed defending. You are such an ungrateful Negro. Instead of thanking massa Rush you are out disparaging him on one of dem colored shows.
HUGHLEY: Rush Limbaugh, who is the de facto leader of the Republican Party --STEELE: No, he's not.HUGHLEY: Well, I'll tell you what, I've never --STEELE: I'm the de facto leader of the Republican Party.HUGHLEY: Then you know what? Then I can appreciate that, but no -- no one will -- will actually pry down some of the things he says, like when he comes out and says that he wants the president to fail, I understand he wants liberalism to fail.STEELE: How is that any different than what was said about George Bush during his presidency? Let's put it into context here. Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer. Rush Limbaugh, the whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it's incendiary, yes, it's ugly --
Tell em M-Diddy, you are the HNIC, not Rush. Why is it so hard for A-merry-ca to understand that? Well, I will give you a hint M-Diddy; it's because house Negroes don't all of a sudden wake up one day and own the house. And when massa plucks them from the fields cleans them up, and gives them all the comforts of living in the house they are not supposed to forget that, or give him their butts to kiss. That's a job for us field Negroes. See we can tell Rush to kiss our black asses, because he never did shit for us. You, on the other hand, owe him so much. And guess what M-Diddy, he will never let you forget it.
Took poor ol Steele less the 24 hours to apologize to Rush....
ReplyDeleteIt is rather entertaining to watch this little drama... and I love how Rahm Emmanuel is feeding the flames... It is brilliant of the O'team to insist that Rush is the leader of the GOP.... and Rush is a big enough egomaniac to fall for it... Looks like 2010 will be a lock for the dems if this keeps up.
I heard that they keep trying to serve some wake up coffee to Steele, but he just doesn't have a taste for it. He still drinking that same ole brand massa has in his house called Smooch Smooch. But down at that Change White House Cafe there's a new brand of coffee called Wake Up Coffee. It taste good too!
ReplyDeleteThis is beyond comical. Y'all ain't seen nothing yet! Wait for the encore.
BTW, Jody, you on the ball lady, you catch on fast.
Field, Steele now says that, while he said Rush Limbaugh was "an entertainer," "ugly," and "incendiary," those weren't the words he was thinking.
ReplyDeleteHey jjbrock:
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about you. I miss you.
Caught both Rush and Steele on Saturday. SMH!
ReplyDeleteYeah M-Diddy has apologized. What a surprise. :0
ReplyDeleteMichael Steele had a chance to tell that fat racist fucker to stfu but what did he do.....damn...he let the mofo take his f-ing balls. Got dammit!
ReplyDeleteSaaaaa>>>>>lap!
This whole Republican Party eating their young thing is rich. I can't say that I'm not entertained by watching it. It just doesn't seem like they have it. Their only strategy seems to be opposing the Democrats. And that is not a winning strategy. How about showing us how conservatism and Republican ideals will benefit the country... oh ... right ... the Republicans can't ... 'cause they have no idea how to fix America's problems.
ReplyDeleteI am not a dye in the wool Democrat by any means. But I find it difficult to understand how a winning opposing strategy is making fun of the other camp. Talk about stupid.
I was hoping Rush wouldn't respond, but oh well.. The company my wife works for is talking 1099. The CEO meets with Obama frequently. I can't see Gubment Heath Care not passing with help like that.
ReplyDeleteszpork
Mike Tyson's ex brother in law is now exposed for even the most knuckleheaded or detached fool as a stupid figurehead. I remember when Ken Mehlman ran the party and the stuff was tight. The White House is cracking up.
ReplyDeleteField, I should trash my manuscripts and the next graphic novel and write something about this clown show. Steele, D.L., Tavis--Lord have mercy life is more whack than fiction...
BTW, our island has tried to rein in lewdness and violence on the air an radio. Considering the whole damn place, but for the tourist areas, is one big dancehall and shooting gallery, how the hell is this supposed to work?
Mike the leader? showed us all what you have to be and do to get ahead in the rethug party.
ReplyDeleteSo for all you hip hopgeneration that are going to join them bring along your knee pads, boot black and leave you self respect behind.
That's right, join the rethuglicans and march forward into the past.
Steele is such an embarrassment. And it took him less than a month to show the world that he doesn't run a damn thing.
His new nickname is "Mikey No-Balls" because he just handed them to Pillboy on a platter.
"BTW, our island has tried to rein in lewdness and violence on the air an radio. Considering the whole damn place, but for the tourist areas, is one big dancehall and shooting gallery, how the hell is this supposed to work?"
ReplyDeleteYeah Chris, good luck with that. That would be way at the bottom of the list of priorities for me.
EzMun, I might be closer to you politically, and I agree with you on how this is playing out.
Hello GrannyStandingforTruth! How's it going? Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteTurns out MC Steele just gave Rush Limpballs a big, fat public BJ. I know Steele said the new GOP PR plan was going to be "beyond cutting edge", but really, guys!
ReplyDeleteDon't wanta get Peter Gabriel in trouble, but Rush played "Shock the Monkey" as bumper music last week.... Don't you monkey with the monkey...
ReplyDeleteIf MC Steele thinks that his ass kissing of The Great Bloviator will get some colored folks into
ReplyDelete"the big tent",he's sadly mistaken.
Rush just reminded him that his name is Toby, and black people are going to brand Steele as a punk!
Brilliant political move of Obama to call Republicans out for being Rush's bitches, and for Rahm Emmanuel and other Democrats to blanket the media with the talking points that RUSH is the de facto leader of the GOP.
The GOP is eating its own with relish!!!
Oh,and thank for making my girl Katrina Van den Heuval an honorary FN.The woman is fierce!
sorry steele, but i hope you and fat boy junkie rush fight until you cancel each other out...
ReplyDeleteSteele now knows he is not the leader of the Republican Party. Rush is not a politician, but Steele had to apologize.
ReplyDeleteI saw Steele at the State of the Black Union and he didn't defend the Republican Party much. Believe me, he heard an ear full from Sharpton, West, Michael Eric Dyson, and other panelists. I wonder what Rush would think about Steele atending the SOTBU and not saying much about the RP.
I hope Steele remembers JC Watts
Michael Steele is one of the weakest black men I have ever seen in my life. I wonder how he feels about being a token? It's like he has no pride or class whatsoever. He's a politician and all, but damn try and pretend you have a spine you coward. Getting bullied around by a drug addict fatass is not something to be proud of.
ReplyDeleteIn his CPAC speech, Rush also attributed inalienable rights of life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, to the Preamble to the Constitution. Really, I'm happy with Rush as the face of the Repulibans. What more could we ask for than a blustering, soft-bellied, egomaniacal, drug addict, snake oil radio salesman as the Repug counterpart to President Obama?
ReplyDeleteAll I have to ask the Mike "Aluminum Foil" Steele is did he spit or swallow.
ReplyDeleteSteele didn't have to apologize and shouldn't have, it's stupid and it really proves that the GOP are useless dolts, it's no wonder, they didn't know how to fight a war, handle a natural disaster and lastly let terrorists attack this country.
ReplyDeleteGOOD, that's what STELLE get's, he has been brought to an open SHAME, GOD don't like UGLY! he has been beating up on the PRESIDENT, and now look!
ReplyDeleteMICHEAL STEELE is a DISGRACE, this is 2009 and BLACK MEN do not have to apologize for telling the truth! I wonder what his wife think's of him! the PRESIDENT has been PERSECUTED from day one, and yet, MICHAEL STEELE cannot deal with one RACIST WHITE MAN! and he think's he is going to run the REPUBLICAN KLU KLUX KLAN, please give me a break! poor MAN, he has to learn the hard way, and if this is what it take's for him to see the light, then GOOD!
Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer.
ReplyDeleteI've never understood this insistence that "Rush is an entertainer."
Is that supposed to take the edge off of what he says, the way a comic does his thing?
Does it mean that we shouldn't take him seriously?
Does it mean that he gets to say whatever he pleases, and we're to keep our mouth shut?
Okay, if Rush is an entertainer, then Hitler was an entertainer, Mussolini was an entertainer, Pol Pot was an entertainer, and Fidel Castro is an entertainer (He did have a pretty bad spill that looked a little silly.).
From what I've seen, Rush has a lot in common with these guys: He wants to destroy liberalism and, by extension, the Democratic Party so that he can install conservatism and the Republican Party as this nation's only party.
When I heard Steele make that statement about Rush Limbaugh, I knew then that his newly won position (head of the RNC) had gone to his head.
And that soon, Rush the entertainer would be using Steele's head as a drum, all the time yelling, "Who be the man? Who be the man?"
GOOD, that's what STELLE get's, he has been brought to an open SHAME, GOD don't like UGLY! he has been beating up on the PRESIDENT, and now look!
ReplyDeleteI so agree. This is what happens when you dig a ditch for someone! Michael Steele is reaping what he sow!
Anonymous 12:17:
ReplyDeleteI don't think Steele has had enough just yet. He'll learn one of these good old days, but if he doesn't shame on him. Its sad when folks can't learn from their mistakes. Too bad it couldn't have been those two fake preachers Jesse Lee Peterson and Manning. Ah, but their turn is coming along with the rest of them.
Yea, but the show has just begun this is just the warm up before the real act comes on the stage. Those CEO fatcats, lobbyist, Wall Street, Bankers, and some of those gubermint folks is hotter than fish grease. They don't like that accountability stuff. Some more stuff is getting ready to come to the light. This is the month for Spring cleaning.
Even Hillary is happier and more relaxed these days. Its beginning to show in her face. She likes her position.
Justice58:
ReplyDeleteAmen, amen, and amen again!
Yeah Steele....kiss the ring you hack. I suspect a Caucasian will be running the RNC by the next election.
ReplyDeleteOh and Field you hear of this racist-ass article floating around on the Right-Wing Hateosphere? Steele's antics has got 'em in full "Anti-Nigger" mode. Them blacks done did um wrong agin'!
These two excerpts should sum it up in all its way-too-long nonsense:
"Female groupies fawn over Barack Obama. Charles Manson enjoyed that same kind of adoration. For Negroes, Obama’s election is like eating birthday cake three times a day for the next four years. Inasmuch as there is no such thing as black icing, they can coat the cake with soot."
Comparisons to Manson, a soot joke, and a healthy dose of traditional sexualized racism in a mere 4 sentences. Impressive! The judges in the Freestyle Racist Rant are gonna be impressed by that kind of creativity!
"The Obama Administration is the ghettos’ ATM machine. Giving stimulus money to irresponsible people is like slopping the hogs. No matter how often they are slopped, they are still hogs. The stimulus is like trying to cure a junkie’s addiction by lighting his crack pipe for him. Representative Jim Clyburn accused Governors who refused stimulus pork money of being racist. This guy is what you could call 'one numb digger'."
Okay, another racist numbskull on the internet. Not THAT unique, right? Dime a dozen, big deal. Wellllll, the creep originally posted it on Free Republic. THIS reply from a BROTHA named "Windflier" is what fucked my head up:
"Now, that’s what I call a 100 Proof rant. One of the best I’ve seen on this website.
Being of the “negro” persuasion myself, some of the commentary stung a bit, but on balance, he’s right on the money. What’s left of it, anyway."
How's THAT for self hatred? Phew! Step your game up, Jesse Lee & Co, the next generation of Uncle Toms are ready to take your place.
Michael Steele is an embarrassment. How could he let a chunky junkie like Rush Limpbone push him around? SMDH
ReplyDeleteThe pills-bury doughboy really got off with that one. He couldn't have asked for a better reason to put Steele in his place. I was almost embarrassed for Steele, but he went back for more.
ReplyDeleteIt's not as if he had any chance of appealing to Blacks anyway, but it's a WRAP now.
GrannyStandingforTruth,
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it fail yet! If you think back from the primaries to the general election...it seems everyone that tried to do dirty to our President ended up defeated all the way around.
Michael Steele was taunting with the "How you like me now" at our President. Just look at him now.... a wuss. No one will respect him after this. He can give it up. He's done.
ReplyDeleteGranny, I cannot wait!
Ouch Swiff, that last one was doozy.
I hope this doesn't come out the wrong way because I don't want to offend anyone, but what Rush did to Steele was the equivalent of telling him "How dare you" for not knowing his place.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I'm enjoying this drama in the GOP. Someone pass the popcorn!
When my wife heard about Steele kowtowing to Rush, she said, "did he cut his balls up, or did they just shrink away?"
ReplyDeleteRiddle me this, Mr. Steele: How do you expect to get any respect for your opinions after today's public castration (courtesy of Rush)??
The sad thing is that we need two viable parties, proposing real alternative solutions, to get us out of this mess. Unfortunately, the Republicans are off in la-la land (like the last 8 years).
Justice 58:
ReplyDeleteYup, and it's more to come. It's gone be alright.
Minnie:
I can't wait either. It couldn't happen to a more deserving party. They destroyed a lot of lives during those eight years. I'll never forget how they treated that woman who lost her son over in Iraq. They treated her like dirt. The woman was grieving over her son, but they showed her no compassion whatsoever. Talked about her like she had a tail on her and treated her like she was a deranged mental patient. She was hurting and in pain over the lost of her son. I could feel how she was feeling on the inside, and her son's death had just about crushed her spirit. The way they treated her was almost comparable to spitting in her face.
R.J.:
"Someone pass the popcorn!"
I was thinking the same thing. Just don't forget to pass the diet pepsi to wash it down with.
MICHEAL STEELE need's to try and come home before it's to late, and by home, I mean his BLACK ROOT'S, but, if he decide's to fight it out, he will not win! RUSH LIMBAUGH has a STRONG RACIST following, and STEELE has nothing! and can someone, please tell me where the BLACK REPUBLICAN'S are?
ReplyDeleteBLACK REPUBLICAN'S are a disgrace to their own party, they will not stand with their so called RNC leader, what a shame! they seem to be hid out, KEN BLACKWELL, has his uncle tom self on TOWN HALL.COM PERSECUTING the PRESIDENT.
GRANNY GO TO TOWN HALL.COM
Field,
ReplyDeleteYou positively nailed this post!
Black Rose
Steele needs to hang it up!!
ReplyDeleteIt is brilliant that Rahm & Co. are calling Rush the "head" of the Rethugs. Rush is loving it not realizing that he is going to drag the rest of the party down with him.
The GOP is appealing to a smaller (but very vocal) and smaller segment of the population while the country's demographics are changing. Let them keep it up.
MC Steele has rug burns on his knees from fellating this drug-addict, pedophile Rush Limbaugh.
ReplyDeleteSteele is no man: he's just another damned Uncle Tom.
"All I have to ask the Mike "Aluminum Foil" Steele is did he spit or swallow."
ReplyDeleteOuch!
Swiff, the Net is getting ugly. Where are these clowns? I think we need to increae funding for the "drop squad". :)
I always wondered whatever happened to Humpty Hump, pronounced with an "Umpty"
ReplyDeleteYour "Picture Word Association" today may have been responsible for the blood vessel that popped in my head. But then again, it was laughter induced.
ReplyDeleteI hope you're not being sarcastic there because what you said is the actual and precise truth.
ReplyDeleteSteels is a nobody. There isn't a snowball's chance in hell that he'd be where he is today were it not for the GOP wanting to look hip and un-racist by putting a suit on a black man and calling him "our leader" as they wink to each other. Michael Steel does in fact owe his position, pay and prestige to the GOP powers that be and his solitary mistake was in not realizing (I might not have either) that Rush was one of them.
In any case, I couldn't give a fuck about Steele and if gets kicked back to the plantation for this minor mishap then I'll be shouting behind him that he deserves no better and indeed, a whole lot worse.
Just the fact that Steele THOUGHT he was going to be running something Republican shows that he's not the brightest bulb in the unit.
ReplyDeleteAt least Keyes and Connerly go about their negrophobic activities strictly for the money.
CalSoldier sez - "The sad thing is that we need two viable parties,..."
ReplyDeleteWe got them... Confusingly, they both are named "Democrat"...
At the moment.
BT
What gave me a chuckle was when Michael said that Chuck D. rose up from the project. Chuck quickly corrected him. Priceless. Mike needs to do his homework.
ReplyDeleteBlack Diaspora:
ReplyDeleteRush Limbaugh for all intended purposes is an entertainer, and doesn't care about politics in general as long as he gets paid. He is playing to his audience. He is an opportuntist who 20 years found the niche to market to. Limbaugh saw a need and filled it. Limbaugh makes millions of dollars a year to give his listeners what they want, and not entirely sure that he believes in the rtheoric he sprouts. He is the Lonesome Rhodes to that group of people who are too stupid to think for themselves and believe that Limbaugh is their voice of power. He communicates very well towards his audience, and he has managed to use that skills to manipulate the politicans within the republican party because they need him. If you have not seen the movie, A Face in the Crowd, I strongly recommend that you see it.
I am not saying that Rush is not dangerous because he completely apathetic and only cares about the millions he makes and has everlasting adoration from his fans. He is self-absorbed, standing there on the podium at CPAC looking someone from the Russian Mob as David Letterman so aptly described. Limbaugh probably believes that his audience is stupid because he refers to them as dittoheads which if you think about is an insult, but the audience is too stupid to realized it. What is more dangerous are those individuals who actually believe the rhetoric and are willing to go a step further.
Amen for that brother Field, People will stay the same in mindset, but technology will always change. It's almost time to go Paul Bogel.
ReplyDeleteDude.
ReplyDeleteWTF?
What is up with the Limbaugh fetish that is sweeping through the right hand side of the country right now?
Seriously.
He's a freaking radio entertainer, who has never offered a constructive solution to even the most minor of problems facing the country.
It's akin to if the CEO of your company suddenly disappeared one day, and everyone began gravitating toward his drunken, unemployed brother in law, and justifying it with "well, at least he's always good for a laugh, and consistent in his rage."
It’s mind boggling.
The fucker probably voted for Obama. He's the best thing that's happened to him since Monica. He would NOT be getting this type of press if McCain had won.
Rush is your modern day Larry 'Lonesome' Rhodes. Budd Schulberg warned us about back in the 50's. If you ever get the chance ,please see this movie A Face in the Crowd.
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lonesome_Rhodes
Paul Bogel.
Steele's groveling at the altar of Rush was seriously one of the saddest things I've seen in a while. Saw that one coming from a mile away...
ReplyDeleteAlthough I dont agree with Steele politics, I was hoping that he would actually bring goo, honest dialogue to the nation stage. It seems it isnt so. I was so excited to see him speak his point of view. I thought now we have another person willing to stand and speak. Sunday it was all a wash. He actually backed down and now I am feeling a little loss. Why oh why Steele did you cave in. We had more respect for you in 24 hours. You loss me and many other folks out here who didnt agree with your party but was willing to listen to YOU. Well no longer. Your just another ass kisser. Tell me Steele: how does it smell down there...
ReplyDeleteAnon: 10:58a
ReplyDeleteA Face in the Crowd is a very good movie and character study. It was interesting how the movie brought out the point that TV would create a character like Lonesome Rhodes, and it was Andy Griffith first movie role.
Well...Good Morning, Field....
ReplyDeleteI wondered if I would see a post on this.
I thought Steele did a decent job of presenting himself on CNN - DL Hughley.
Is it really beyond the pale of reason that a person of color becomes a Republican/Conservative due to life experiences, political philosophy, etc and not because she/he is a sell out?
It seems the default assumption on this thread is if Black = Conservative, then that means automatic Uncle Tom, Sell Out, Field Negro, etc.
What fascinates me is that people like Condi Rice became a Republican because of the outright racism in the Democratic Party.
Remember the difference folks: In the Republican party, the racists run for office and then fail to get elected ( i.e. David Duke). In the Democratic Party the racists run for office and actaully get elected (i.e. Robert Byrd - former Klan member).
I've been laughing all over the web reading responses to Rush vs. Steele.
ReplyDeleteTell em M-Diddy, you are the HNIC, not Rush.
LMAO.
Somebody sent me a personal note about Steele that said, "But he da man! He da man!" ;-)
Michael Steele is willing to kowtow to anyone! On Breaking the News he actually made sense and since I gave him the Good Ole Obama listening ear I found logic in his arguments!
ReplyDeleteBut ALAS he's got to scratch where he doesn’t itch all for MASSA EX: The apology to Rushy Baby!
When will the real Michael Steele stand up???
I tell you this much Michael Steele!
Your No Alan Keyes that man is an honest to goodness Uncle Tom and there is no NEGRO that is going make his say DIFFERENT!!!!
PS: Field I <3 you
I was beginning to wonder how the Republicans had their clan rally without the supposed leader being there. I hate to see what going to happen to Steele next, but my question is after they've thrown him under the bus a couple times will he keep trying to get back on like Keyes has? But, hey, when you see the king kissing the jester's butt, you know who is really in charge.
ReplyDeleteI think all us Obamaniacs owe Mr. Steele a debt of gratitude for demonstrating once and for all, without a doubt, that the GOP has lost its way and its f'ing mind and should never again, in our lifetimes and beyond, be entrusted with the sacred duties that We The People have bestowed upon our government by the instrument of the Constitution.
ReplyDeleteThey Just Don't Get It.
And remember at the end of Steele's remarks at the CPAC convention, Michelle Bachmann, Republican of Minnesota yelps "You be da man."
ReplyDeleteWhat's next Steele?
At the next Republican gathering the crowd asks you to do a little soft shoe?
You better wake up my brother.
ADAM, have you seen BYRD lately, he is wasting away! as it should be, GOD is allowing him to live long enough to remind him of his WICKED DEED'S in life! you REAP what you SOW, and he is not the only old WHITE RACIST, that GOD is keeping alive, rather they be in POLITIC'S or what have you, I have seen them on T V crying, and those tear's are REAL, we had one on TV REPENTING to JOHN LEWIS, I hope, I have his name right, so you see, these old WHITE RACIST, know one day they will meet their MAKER, and what possible excuse could they give GOD for their past DEED'S.

ReplyDeleteWhelp, it looks like Granny might have some union problems up ahead. Today, the little neighborhood boy came to see me. He told me he is coming with the Union. I said, "Huh?" He said, "Nah,I was just kidding, but I could use an extra 38 cents, because next month is my birtday."
--->Granny thinking to herself, hmmm...might have slow down a little bit on teaching my little friend lessons about work. He's learning a little too fast for Granny's pocketbook. I just gave him a raise a couple of weeks ago. (wink)
Whelp, maybe, I can get him a birthday present to hold off on the Union idea for a little while. He'll be twelve next month.
Adam sez - "What fascinates me is that people like Condi Rice became a Republican because of the outright racism in the Democratic Party."
ReplyDeleteThen a piece of paper with "Turn over" written on both sides must amuse you for days.
Condi's interest in things "Republican" began and ended with an offer to put into practice what she had studied and gotten her PhD in - which was International Relations During the Cold War.
Unfortunately for her, the Cold War was over, the policy decisions were made by Dick, and she worked for the penultimate paragon of Rethugly petulant stupidity - Bush...
A role which reduced her to being nothing but political eye-candy appearing on the arm of this or that foreign dignitary - to be left to fetch coffee when the real movers and shakers sat down to talk...
When she wasn't being trotted out as the Rethuglys most important House Negro.
She got shafted...
Which... In consideration of her vaunted "intelligence"...
Is nobody's fault but her own.

UPTOWNSTEVE, have you seen the movie DROP SQUAD, by SPIKE LEE, if not, then you should rent it! their is something wrong with RON CHRISTI, LARRY ELDER, JUAN WILLIAM, KEN BLACKWELL, AMY, SOPHIA, and the list go's on and on, when I hear them on TV I can't believe my ear's, but, that RON CHRISTI, is really something, who in the world raised these so called BLACK PEOPLE? do they know our HISTORY? Ron Christy was part of Bush's administration. He gets on my nerves too. I laughed so hard one day at him when he appeared on Fox News cheerleading for Bush and badmouthing black folks. He had the nerve to have on blue contact lenses. So, there that ought to give you a hint of what he desires to be.
Which one of the Senators or House Reps was it that hid the fact that they had a black daughter? I can't think of his name right now.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite funny to watch I have to say, but while we're all getting our jollies we need to be strategizing how to further drive a stake into the Rethug machine and form an agenda that can withstand their attacks. This is THE OPPORTUNITY WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR.
ReplyDeleteMy mom was from Mississippi and 'whelp' is a word I thought universal until I grew op! lol
ReplyDeleteThere's no loss on Steele. He may be the poster child for the Republicans, but everyone knows he's not running anything.
Limbaugh? What can I say? This big, ignorant, racist, drug addicted, troublemaking douch bag is exactly what he projects...a loser that will take advantage of others and any opportunities to make money. The only thing worse than him is the people who believe in him and what he says.
I have to say I am in complete agreement with on this post. Steele can never be his own man and he knows it. He has sold the GOP party on the idea that he change their image and make them palatable to blacks, but what Steele forgot is that no one likes an Uncle Top
ReplyDeleteSteele was dumb. By attacking Limbaugh, he was playing into the hands of the Administration. There isn't a Republican alive who knows that Obama and the people around him respect or like anyone in my party. Limbaugh understands this. Steele, when he criticized Limbaugh, was trying to sound moderate and reasonable. That's understandable in an environment in which Obama is somewhere between 63-68 percent popular in the polls.
ReplyDeleteThese things pass, however. Bush was at 81 percent at one time. For those of us who don't want "Socialism in One Country", a la France or Sweden, I give you Robert Stacy McCain's Palinesque call to arms for Conservatives and Republicans:
"Friends don't let friends peddle defeatist bullshit. You cannot organize opposition unless you first believe that opposition can be effective and meaningful. Telling conservatives that there is no point deploying an ambush on the road to serfdom? That's defeatist bullshit. If Ho Chi Minh had thought that way, the French would still rule Indochina.
Conservatives are now a guerrilla resistance. Harassing the enemy -- staging raids and ambushes that prevent him from enjoying his conquest at leisure -- is basic to guerrilla resistance. If we are doomed to destruction, as least let it be said that we died fighting. But those who never fight, never win."
Here's to you Michael Steele:

Steele's attack on Limbaugh is analogous to the puppet calling the ventriloquist a dummy. It means nothing, because Steele doesn't have a voice of his own. This is why I wasn't surprised that he apologized to the God Fath- er I mean- Limbaugh. Its all theater. Its all entertainment and that is clearly Rush's domain.
ReplyDeleteGranny Standing, Why Y'all talk like you're 80 years old? We all know Black Grandmothers are 24 or 25...ok maybe 26..
ReplyDeleteSo much for Steele's street cred, Field.
ReplyDeleteNow he's a wanksta poser wanna-be who got smacked down by the "man"- or at least the stereotypical example of him.
Then again, what other choice did he have except apologize?
The base of GOP voters are Rushtards- offend them and there goes the bulk of the party's support. The rich can only cough up so much dough, and while they're not all Rush fans, they know the GOP can't win without Rush.
He should've thought about this before opening his mouth...
Thank you Rush for making Steele's job a lot easier. He doesn't have to worry about getting Blacks and Hispanics to join the Republican Party. The hip-hop strategic wasn't going to work.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone had any doubt about why Steele was chosen as chairman, I think this should erase all doubt.
Doesn't Rush look like the guy who run the Bunny Ranch?
Standing and Applauding My fellow Philadelphian...I couldn't say it any better..THe Republicans are never going to be taken seriously if they allow Rush Limbaugh to even think he is the head of their party..He's an entertainer and not even a good one at that.
ReplyDeleteThe Republicans are more worried about winning a future election that doesn't take place until 4 years from now. When Americans are more concerned about the economy. They really don't get it. Whelp, that's what happens when you put party first and the people don't count.
ReplyDeleteI was watching Keith Olberman. Keith is on a roll tonight and I've been enjoying every bit of it.
@hennasplace: "He [Rush Limbaugh] communicates very well towards his audience, and he has managed to use that skills to manipulate the politicans within the republican party because they need him....
ReplyDelete"I am not saying that Rush is not dangerous....
What is more dangerous are those individuals who actually believe the rhetoric and are willing to go a step further."
Hennasplace, you did a better job of making my point than I did.
I would more readily call what Rush does propagandizing, speechifying, incendiary race mongering, but entertainment?
Gladiators slaughtered Christians, women, and the physically handicapped in the arenas and that, too, was called entertainment.
And I might add it was entertainment for everyone but the Christians, women and the handicapped (correct that, PC Alert, the disabled, or physically challenged).
Surely there's a more suitable term for what Rush does and provide for the Right than entertainment?
Amen!
ReplyDeleteActually I have more to say! I was initially feeling M-diddy (i love it) for going to the State of the Black Union over CPAC. That was a silent indicator that he still is a black man first. BUT.. he once again showed his weak side and in the BIGGEST way.
ReplyDeleteYea, he was told what corner to go sit his black ass down and what to focus on next!
He just affirmed there is only one negro in DC running shit!!
Politics right now is better then any soap opera on TV!
Field I know you are about letting different opinions allowed to be posted, but why do you let an obviously offensive racist piece of flotsam like Frank dreck Drackman, insult and demean black people and other members on this forum with their disgusting, juvenile filth?
ReplyDeleteBlack Diaspora I answered you on the other thread.
Could it have been any funnier when Michael Steele was trying to act like he was all "DOWN" when he was talking to Chuck D? He implied that Chuck D was from the projects. So Chuck just stopped talking looked over at him, frowned his face up and was like "Im not from the projects" Now that was hillarious!!!LOL!!!
ReplyDelete"There isn't a Republican alive who knows that Obama and the people around him respect or like anyone in my party."
ReplyDeleteWhy should he, when he has to clean up the HUGE pile of SHIT that you and your party left behind for him??
Once again..."Earth calling wingnuts...reality misses you."
@ Jody: Obama is rope-a-doping RL and he's feeding on it and the Repubs are so spineless, not one of them can stand up to him w/o grovelling back to him later. Result: Dems are leaders, Obama an adult and Repubs loses Hispanic, black and independent voters--which they desperately need. I swear the Repub representatives/senators must have battered women's syndrome or Stockholm Syndrome. They lost 2 elections in row and they are stillstuck on stupid. Rush is an albatross and they won't take it off. Is he the only one that can speak for them? Ain't nobody else? Really? And RL is such an egomaniac he's lapping it up. He's believing his own hype. And b/c Obama isn't directly engaging RL, b/c he doesn't engage chicanery and foolishness, he looks above the fray. Rahmbo on teevee this sunday was hilarious. It was obvious he enjoyed tying the Repubs to Rush and vice-versa And it becomes a self-fulfilling prophesy b/c the Repub representatives can't seem to quit RL.
ReplyDelete@ Ernesto
The thing is I've never heard Obama speak badly of Republicans as people. He gave this great interview with Rachel Maddow right after he won where she asked him why he never called them out directly or insult them and he basically said that was counterproductive since he has to work with them. What O does is tie his opponents to an unpopular aspect of Republicanism, w/o insult the Party itself. E.g.: Hillary with the Iraq War; McCain with George Bush. He never said repubs were evil; he names specific policy/ies he objects to, while RL will talk about Dem policies he's against and insult Dems wholesale, calling them debased, crazy, etc. There's a difference and moderates and independents noticed that in the election. Obama offers constructive criticism, while RL and his cohorts act like children. And in '08 the American people wanted an adult running their country and McCain was not it. I think that's why the whole Field Negro/House Negro dichotomy is short-sighted. I think Obama is a Field Negro that acts like a House Negro to get Field Negro policies accomplished.
Dark Moon, Frank IS ignorant, and he leaves some pretty nasty comments. But aren't you glad you are getting to see the Drackmans of the world? I know I am.
ReplyDeleteI considered censoring him, but I just can't bring myself to do it. It's just not in my DNA. I am totally against censorship no matter how offensive the person is.

Communication happens every now and again. A Basis problem for us humans.
