Let me talk a little politics with you folks real quick. It's important for folks who follow these wingnut political movements-teabaggers,teabaggers,teabaggers- to understand that if you keep calling for grass roots candidates you might not like what you pull out of the grass.
As Exhibit-A, I give you one Debra Medina; the lady who went on A-merry-ca's most deranged but wingnut friendly talk show, and sadly for her and her supporters, was exposed as a 911 conspiracy nut. (I think they are called "Truthers") Apparently girlfriend is not sure that 911 wasn't some kind of inside job. (That sound you hear is not a bird popping out of an alarm clock.) Now please, also keep in mind, that this woman had closed within percentage points of Kay Bailey Hutchinson for the governor's race in Texas. Hopefully now that she has been exposed for the nut job that she is, she will go back to organizing tea parties and Ron Paul events (they call them Paulinistas) where she belongs.
Can you imagine? This woman almost became the governor of the state of Texas and she is not sure if 911 was an inside job? (BTW, she also had a banner ad. on the Stormfront Neo Nazi website.) The fact that even Beck won't embrace her should tell you something. He even seemed embarrassed by Ms. Medina, and that's saying something.
So what lesson should we take from this? That the teabaggers should screen their candidates a little more? That A-merry-cans will elect anyone to public office as long as they fit their agenda on most issues? Or that the people of Texas are even loonier than we thought? (The woman was at 24% in the polls just four percentage points behind Hutchinson for the run off against another wacko, the current governor, Mr. Goodhair. )
I don't know about the rest of you, but in the week when new pictures of 911 came to light, I find the irony in this story compelling.
My teabag friends, let this be a lesson in democracy to you: You can run who you want for public office, but there is a reason that we still only have predominantly two political parties in this country. It's not always easy to vet candidates for public office. The quick rise of Debra Medina proves it.
Cream (in this case, of the crazies) always rises to the top
ReplyDeleteGive thanks :)
Equally important, what is your Twitter name?
Damn, and all this time I thought you were a real person, when in reality you're a CIA construct, created and planted into the AfroSpear Network solely for the purpose of ridiculing anyone who dares to speak the truth about 911.
ReplyDeleteThe CIA is very very clever.
Seriously tho field, I'm with you and view with glee as the Tea Party is exposed as the nutjobs they really are. Although I would like someone to explain to me (quiet and private-like) why WTC3 fell down suddenly. You know, the short building that wasn't hit by any plane or anything.
Silly I know, but still.
Scary stuff. This is why one part of me wants Palin to run.... so that we can make fun of her and she wins the Rethuglican nomination and Obama gets another 4 years. But another part of me says not so fast... because voters are so gullible that they just might elect Palin by accident. Remember the last accident? Turned out to be one of the worst man-made disasters in modern Human History -- The election of George W. Bush in 2000 and all of the sideshows that came with it.
ReplyDeleteThe country can't afford to risk the same thing again. (and Sadly .... I think W. was much smarter than Palin.... God D---!!!). And W wasn't all that bright at all when he ran. He couldn't name 4 or 5 world leaders... something a 5th grader or at least a Junior High kid should be able to do.
That's saying a lot.
But these folks are definitely getting too close to legitimate seats of significant power.. and it should be frightening to anyone paying attention. But it reflects a much larger sickness among the American electorate... that the voters are so ill informed that these kinds of crazy candidacies are even possible. An ill informed electorate can bring down a nation.
I'm sorry but I have to take the side of the target of Glenn Beck's ridicule, once again. What exactly did she say that was so cuckoo? It has been fully documented that the United States has plotted to stage terrorist attacks to drum up public opinion for an invasion of a foreign country before:
ReplyDeletehttp://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=92662&page=1
Calling Obama a "socialist" like Beck does routinely is infinitely more absurd than anything that was said by her in the interview.
"The fact that even Beck won't embrace her should tell you something."
All it tells me is that the RNC wants her out of the governor's race in Texas.
Hey Field,
ReplyDeleteShanti is honoring black men for Valentine. Come show her some love. She really did a great job for the brothas!

Field,
ReplyDeleteThis should be an entertaining thread, as you will have managed to offend the troofers and the 'baggers with one post.
One thing is undeniable and that is both "movements" have been co-opted by those whom the movements proclaim to "expose". They are missing the real conspiracy theory that is right under their noses. For instance, the antics of Alex Jones and his PP crewe serve to discredit those who find the standard explanations of 9/11 questionable.
However, both movements are also cults of personality and you will find the attendant disconnect when reality conflicts with their revealed "truth".
On the other hand, I am looking forward to CF's explanation as to how the street pirates caused the atrocities of September 11. They are, apparently, responsible for everything else.
she's also a birth certificate nut.
ReplyDeleteit's Texas. ...the Texas GOP is full of crazies anyway.
*shudder*
ReplyDeleteIn other news, Ward Connerly has found an easy mark in the Utah State Legislature. The proposed bill passed out of committee in two days.

Filled Negro:
ReplyDeleteDo you find it strange that you have far, far, far more stories about Republicans and Conservatives on your propaganda blog than you do people who have DIRECT IMPACT UPON THE DISTRICTS WHERE BLACK PEOPLE LIVE?
I had always thought it strange for BlackCommentator.com had so many editorial cartoons that focused on their enemies. If they were to hang pictures of their cartoons on their wall - 95% of their wall would be of their enemies staring back at them.
Scary stuff. This is why one part of me wants Palin to run.... so that we can make fun of her and she wins the Rethuglican nomination and Obama gets another 4 years.
Angry Independent. It seems to me that you want Obama to win more than you care to mention anything about the Black community.
Shamefully - if the Black Unemployment rate remains near 17% in 2012 I am inclined to believe that you'd say "You see Bush's recession was more stubborn than I thought. We need 4 more years of Obama to dislodge the evil that Bush has done. At least Obama can work with our Democratic PERMANENT FRIENDS who are running these local places of high unemployment".
The Filled Negro blog and what it focuses upon is a CASE STUDY on what is wrong with the Black Community's management. The "American Political Domain" has more "lust value" than does the focus upon the "Community Cultural Consciousness and Competence Domain".
it's Texas. ...the Texas GOP is full of crazies anyway.
ReplyDeleteMy friend Rikyrah:
It seems that TX, AL, MS and SC get no love from you as GOP strong holds.
Why don't you ever talk about the glories of IL, particularly the Southside of ORD and East St Louis? What about PA - the "State which is the Keystone of Black Murder"?
Other than libertard blogs, I can't find any evidence to link Medina with the teabag movement. Evidence please......
ReplyDeletePerry,(who is feeling the heat over the Trans Texas Corridor, and is being talked about for a GOP prez candidate), and KBH got a legitimate scare from Medina after she made a name for herself in the debates.
I'm sure this will be the end for Medina, and Perry will prevail...
I'm with CF why are we not focus on what our Black Congress people are doing in office? There is a article in the NYT today that exposes the Congressional Black Caucus's for what it is, a money making group. The article is on the front page by Eric Lipton.
ReplyDeleteTeacracka meltdown continues...

ReplyDeleteBigmac...you lost me at hello. :(
"On the other hand, I am looking forward to CF's explanation as to how the street pirates caused the atrocities of September 11. They are, apparently, responsible for everything else."
Gregory, he tried. He tried.
rikyrah, I am heading over there. I have mad love for your crew on that blog.
EbonyL, it's field Negro.(I think. Tell me if that works)
HAPPY V D to all the ladies who come to the fields!!!!!
Bennett, stop it right now. You are starting to scare me. :)
"Calling Obama a "socialist" like Beck does routinely is infinitely more absurd than anything that was said by her in the interview."
Ernesto, they are close. But I think the Truthers are a bit more looney. Just a bit. Trust me, I am no fan of Becks. And I know damn good and well that he had her on to throw soft balls at her. But he couldn't even ignore that answer to his soft ball question. I bet he wished he never asked her that one.
I have no problem in pointing out what's happenning with the wingnuts, but let's be real Field,we need to keep the Congressional Black Caucus feet to the fire.Right now there are very few members of the caucus who are displaying "feild negro behavior"!
ReplyDeleteI read the NYT article this morning in the Black Caucus and it was truly disgusting on a number of layers..It did confirm for me that Black Politicians at end of the day no better than any others..
ReplyDeleteIn that same vien I am not going to toss the tea bag movement to the curb there is a lot of core themes I can rally around not the cult of personality but the themes of accountibility, fiscal restraint, etc something the Black Caucus has forgotten...Black elites are as lethal as white ones..Obama ha displayed this personality of late with is disconnect from Black suffering when he met with Black leaders this week in the white house..
Yup Trasher as a community we tend to give our "leaders" a pass on the very things we sent them to the State House's and Washington to do.One incident that comes to mind is the failure of Congressman Rangel of New York, who seems to think it's ok for him to forget to pay his taxes.Maybe term limits for our Congress people is in order!
ReplyDeleteMy mistake for misspelling your name Thrasher.
ReplyDeleteI am not a conspiracy theorist, but there are some questions about September have not been completely answered and probably never will. One cannnot connect the dots if the dot are not there to connect. I personally feel that government did drop the ball in preventing September and the evidence is there to support the theory. For some reason or another, people do not like to believe that people can be just plain old incompetent and fortuitious circumstances occur more often than not or in other words, they just got lucky.
ReplyDeletePeople of Texas voted into house Perry is of the same vein as Debra Medina, so I would not be surprise if the people vote her into office.

Big Mac,
ReplyDeleteNo problem I have been called worse..I am troubled when as a people we rally around the themes of others without creating our own positions..
I think thisapplys to the TeaBaggers and the War on Terror as well.
I am of the view that Black folks should in places where our interests are in play ..The tea baggers movement must have some Black folks involved with it..
With regard to the war on terror we need to be careful that Black folks dod not become terrorist in the eyes of the crimnal justice system..
We need to make sure we get the funds spent on the war on terror..We need to make sure the patriot act does not silence Black Bloggers and Black activists..
Point is our plate remains full we must take advantage of very moment in every moment..
I personally feel that government did drop the ball in preventing September and the evidence is there to support the theory."
ReplyDeleteHennasplace, you won't get an argument from me on that one. But a conspiracy to blow up the World Trade Towers? Nope, I am not going there.
"Yup Trasher as a community we tend to give our "leaders" a pass on the very things we sent them to the State House's and Washington to do.One incident that comes to mind is the failure of Congressman Rangel of New York"
Not on this blog, I get on black poli-tricksters all the time. Why? Because they deserve it. In fact, Rangel was my HNOTD for quite a while.
Bicmac, don't fall into the same partisan trap as folks like CF. He sees what he wants to see. I could blog about blacks behaving badly for two weeks straight and the one day I blog about one of his conservative friends, he will be all over me for "racism chasing." :) Go figure.

ReplyDeleteFYI Bigmac.
On the other hand, I am looking forward to CF's explanation as to how the street pirates caused the atrocities of September 11. They are, apparently, responsible for everything else.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up about Gregory's irreverent comments. I didn't see them initially.
Gregory - I did not say that "Street Pirates" are responsible for everything. I will say that when it comes to seeing a "Black person crying on the evening news", grieving at the loss of a loved one - there is a greater than normal chance that this person was killed or assaulted by a Street Pirate.
Gregory - can you imagine if you were alive 70 years ago, upon hearing the news of an assault upon a Black person - "who's side" you'd be on IF you maintained your present logic?
Last year about 7,300 Black people were MURDERED - far out of proportion of our total population count and with reference to the total number of homicides in this nation.
Thus while nearly 4,000 people died in the WTC in 2001 in this same time span over 60,000 Blacks were MURDERED in America.
WHY DO YOU CARE ABOUT WTC CONSPIRACIES by comparison to your SILENCE about this other carnage that is having material impact upon your community?
It is clear to me that it is far easier for you and Filled Negro to keep the "chum consuming like-minded people" appeased with what you want them to focus upon than it is to have the forces that you have put into power to MANAGE THE HUMAN RESOURCES that they now impact per the institutions that they now control.
Filled Negro is a defense attorney so I expect the slight of hand from him. What is your excuse Gregory?
I have zero interest in the 9-11 saga the dead are dead..I am more concerned about the affairs of the living and how others inpact my orbit..
ReplyDeleteWith that narrative in mind We must go get them dollars and pump them back in the hood...The urban venues of 2010 are war torn landscapes . Obama last week kicked Black folks to the curb.
It was sad observing Michelle given a token assignment..Why is she not in Haiti?? Why is she not fronting an Urban Paradigm??
We must develop a posture that wakes up Obama and have him focused on our agenda right now he is our biggest barrier in the federal budget.
WE must excerise our power now not when Obama is out of office he is clearly a one term president
Thrasher,
ReplyDeleteChildhood obesity is extremely important to the Black community. Diabetes is becoming an epidemic as a result of being overweight or obese and it is effecting Black folk more than others. It is an Urban Paradigm. Being effected by that disease can negate any economic advantage, by reducing a persons ability to be productive and the medical cost it incurs. It is very disheartening when I've seen young people on kidney dialysis as a result of diabetes, realizing that the disease may not be under control and they could possibly lose limbs, become blind or prone to a heart attack or stroke.
Field thanks for the post from the past,I don't fall for the hype of the conservite, liberal labels, but what I do look at is the action of the person talking .I personally understand where CF is coming from, his thoughts are his alone and for anyone who chooses to subcribe to them.I take from everyone that is willing to share information to enhance my daily living.I ALSO GIVE YOU PROPS FOR BRINGING ISSUES TO THE TABLE AND THE STYLE INWHICH YOU BRING THOSE ISSUES TO THE TABLE.
ReplyDelete911 an Inside Job!!! How Outlandish!!!...just like HIV bein invented by the Jews, Salt Peter put in Malt Liquor, Crack Cocaine introduced by George Bush,I mean Ronald Reagan, to make y'all waste your welfare checks instead of investing it in agressive no load Growth Funds...Oh, yeah, almost left out Evil Dick Chaney's Hurricane Machine...
ReplyDeleteOnly doubts I have about 9-11 is A-rabs actually carrying out an effective Terrorist attack...
Remember the last accident? ... The election of George W. Bush in 2000.
ReplyDeleteThat was no accident. That was the carefully planned and executed hijacking of an election.
What I don't understand, Field, is how is Medina any different from the rest of the wingnuts? So she lives in her own fantasy world, completely detached from reality. Isn't that the teabagger standard?
Uh, Field, if you get into the habit of calling your opponents derisive names, don't be too surprised if you end up backdoor legitimizing the use of parallel terms for yourself. You can generate the list as easily as I can. Bad tactic.
ReplyDeleteCF,
ReplyDeleteIrreverent comments? Au contraire, I give you all the reverence that you merit.
Heh! ;-] When the federales didn't come busting into my house 30 minutes after I posted, I decided you must be a real person. Makes me happy, 'cause thinking the feds would have the cool to name Sean Payton HFN, well, worlds trembled!
ReplyDeleteThat was immensely amusing.
Field:
ReplyDeleteI think you misread me and probably did not write out correctly, I meant that there is no evidence to support the 9/11 conspiracy theory. I mean we not know all the answers as to what happened on that day, but by saying that it does not mean there is a conspiracy theory to blow up the World Trade towers. I think we have human beings need to have answers to everything that occurs, but there are times when it is just not the case.
Childhood obesity is extremely important to the Black community.
ReplyDeleteHathor:
I feel you on this one.
I am presently on the warpath with my kids in regards to their consumption of junk food.
"Management of health outcomes" is a full time job.
Here is what bugs me though. In some reports that I have heard some have attempted to infuse "social justice" rhetoric in to the problem with obesity. Some people, it seems, live in "Quality Food Deserts" - absent quality grocery stores with fresh fruits and veggies. Instead they have convenience stores and fast food joints.
Rarely are these reports followed up with the message to those with an entrepreneurial spirit to develop a system by which these healthy foods can make their way into these places. If the Nation of Islam can setup a distribution system for their newspapers, bean pies and bags of fruits then someone else can drive to the farmers market, purchase some broccoli, tomatoes, onions, ears of corn and whole potatoes and do the same.
In Riverdale GA after years of complaining about no fresh fish in town - it took the KOREANS to open us a "Super H-Mart" thus filling the needs of the community. Then certain people were grumbling because they didn't hire enough Black folks.
Irreverent comments? Au contraire, I give you all the reverence that you merit.
ReplyDeleteGregory:
On the way home from "Worshiping Jesus" I listened to XM "The Power". They had the author of a new book about EMMIT TILL!!! The book purports to break new news about the 55 year old murder case.
It is becoming increasingly clear to me that those who use the rebuttal of: "You are asking us Black folks to 'GET OVER IT' because YOU don't want to confront the damning acts done to Black folks by this country" is MERELY a front.
You see Gregory - the truth is that many of you FOCUS ON THIS PAST because YOU DON'T WANT TO DEAL WITH THE MANY 'EMMIT TILLS' that are created all over this nation on a frequent basis, made by people who you are not inclined to directly condemn".
You have found a particular focus that many Blacks and Snarling Fox White Liberals can all agree upon. Thus they are able to gain an increasing control over the PLACES WHERE THIS CARNAGE IS TAKING PLACE among our people yet never suffer any consequences.
No one will ever walk in our shoes and know the power that "Post Traumatic Slavery Syndrome" has.
For me I am merely trying to keep this from jumping across the synapse between the generations. You, Filled Negro and others would not dare allow the source of your strength to be taken away from you.
I struggle to understand the point at which the Black community will see your antics and refuse to participate any longer. The results are too deadly for us.
If you have never read Matt Taibbi on the truthers, you really must.
ReplyDeleteThe short version is here

The long, undercover version is in his book http://www.indiebound.org/book/9780385520348
Hilarity.
I think Michelle should leave the mgt of health related issues to experts in that arena she is out of her element and wasting her political capital on a sch a secondary issue...
ReplyDeleteMichelle has been silenced in part by Obama's unwillingness to address Black issuea and our economic crisis.. Again Obama has created a barrier of not addressing the Black agenda to appease and pander to whites he fails to understand Black issues=American issues..
Michelle appears to have allowed his cultural impotence to inflict her and as such she is involved in a secondary level issue like obesity..
Again she should have gone to Haiti and she should confront the economic holocuast in the Black community..
CF,
ReplyDeleteI know that I am probably going to regret this effort, but...
Can you outline for me, in two paragraphs or less, your proposed solution to the plague of "street piracy"? Simple bullet points will suffice, no need for the usual purple prose.
Thanks.
I noticed that nobody commented on the link I posted so I will put a few choice excerpts here:
ReplyDeleteIn the early 1960s, America's top military leaders reportedly drafted plans to kill innocent people and commit acts of terrorism in U.S. cities to create public support for a war against Cuba.
Code named Operation Northwoods, the plans reportedly included the possible assassination of Cuban émigrés, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas, hijacking planes, blowing up a U.S. ship, and even orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities.
America's top military brass even contemplated causing U.S. military casualties, writing: "We could blow up a U.S. ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba," and, "casualty lists in U.S. newspapers would cause a helpful wave of national indignation."
"The whole point of a democracy is to have leaders responding to the public will, and here this is the complete reverse, the military trying to trick the American people into a war that they want but that nobody else wants."
------------------------------
You can read the full article here:
http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=92662&page=1
Note that the story came out four months before September 11, 2001.
Exactly one year prior to the attacks these words appeared in the PNAC document titled "Rebuilding America's Defenses":
the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor.
--------------------
The great coincidence was that this actually occurred right in time to launch a never-ending War on Terror.
One more item:
http://www.boston.com/news/daily/11/massport_conference.htm
Rep. Richard Neal, D-Mass., emerging from an evening briefing for lawmakers at Capitol police headquarters, said he thought the state's congressional delegation would converge in the next few days around the issue of how the hijacking could have happened at Logan.
"This was an inside job," said Neal. "We should be mindful of that in and around Logan."
Gregory to CF: "Can you outline for me, in two paragraphs or less, your proposed solution to the plague of "street piracy"? Simple bullet points will suffice, no need for the usual purple prose."
ReplyDeleteHis only answer is to elect Republicans as mayors of Philadelphia and Chicago. Then the so-called street pirates will cease their destructive behavior and become altar boys and/or MBA candidates at Ivy League schools.

ReplyDelete@Hathor,
There is a reason for the spike in type 2 diabetes and obesity in this nation's children and adults -- processed foods, which have high fructose corn syrup and refined carbs--and the pervasiveness of fast food, e.g., McDonald's, KFC, Burger King, Wendy's, etc. And they all heavily market themselves to our kids.
In addition to getting kids to exercise more (or at least pull away from the computer games and run around outside for a while), we must get our children back on whole foods and not the junk they typically eat.
Y'all N-words give us evil Honkeys too much credit...if we really knew how to exterminate y'all don't y'all think we'd have done it by now???...

Good luck with that, Gregory. He'll just tell you about the history channel program that outlined a gang problem in my home state. But he will neglect to tell you about the two history channel channel programs that aired immediately before it; namely, the ones about the Aryans and the one about the hell's angels. Guess it doesn't fit his narrative since it's only a problem when we negras are breaking the law.
Kirk out.
thrasher, you are wrong. the national medical association (which was started by black physicians during a time when the AMA forbid their membership) has made diabetes tx and education a signature program.

ReplyDeleteYeah, I understand the futility of my request to CL. His *lengthy* rants are virtually indistinguishable from a Michael Savage screed, which make his protestations of ideological independence highly suspect at best. The composition also suggests someone who is struggling with mental illness.
My point is this, something as complex as the theory of relativity can be summarized in a couple of paragraphs. The proof, math and physics behind the theory may take volumes, but the summary can be clearly stated in brief.
I wonder if CF can briefly summarize the pirate problem and clearly articulate a proposed solution to the said problem.
Can you outline for me, in two paragraphs or less, your proposed solution to the plague of "street piracy"? Simple bullet points will suffice, no need for the usual purple prose.
ReplyDeleteGregory is the new UptownSteve. I will need to save my answer to your question for future use.....when you ask me again in a few months.
WHAT IS "STREET PIRACY"?
Street Piracy is the the wanton disregard for the law, order, property and human rights of others in the COMMUNITY. From this lack of core regard comes a disregard for THE LAWS that have been rendered by the government. The force of the police are the only thing that checks him.
A "street pirate" is a young man who has done something to EARN the title. It is a functional description of a consciousness rather than a slanderous label of a political enemy.
This young man had the POTENTIAL to be a steward of his community's standard of living. He could have used the time when he people had their nominal freedom to move the ball forward. Instead he has chosen to ensconce his own people with the same TERROR from him that had been rendered upon them by those who hated his people for their race.
A street pirate is:
* Selfish / Self Centered
* Materially Focused - willing to assault anyone who stands in his way
* Concerned about the stimulation of the tip of his penis above the POWER THAT THE BODY FLUIDS that flow from it he has been granted control over by God who created him
* Unappreciative to those who seek to defend him - willing to slit their throats after they argued for his release.
The community from which he was inculcated should be held accountable for his end state. Those who had their collective attention focused upon fortifying their positioning the "America Political Domain", pursuing 'Social Justice Rights' - the contract that defines what the GOVERNMENT should commit to providing all who live under its protective veil. hey FAILED to instruct this young man what HE OWED TO THE COLLECTIVE. In having a misaligned focus the community from where the Street Pirate was mentally conceived failed to fortify the "Community Cultural Consciousness and Competence Domain". These young males who are now their primary assailants in these communities should have been the pillars upon which the fortress of their community has been built upon.
The way to correct this 40 year misstep is to:
* Develop "Rites Of Passage" to which these young males LIVE UP TO as the adults construct him into the man that the community NEEDS HIM TO BE
* Inculcate a spirit of shared community interests above their own selfish interests which prey upon the community
* Clarify where he as an individual fits into the big picture. He should be made to fear that he is a THIEF OF TIME, each second that he wastes doing activities that have no benefit to his end point.
* Communicate to the masses the glory and potential harm that the unregulated "exchange of BODY FLUIDS" have had upon his community. So many of his community's problems are rooted in this (Unplanned Pregnancy, HIV, STD)
The Street Pirate will be retired once the COMMUNITY starts to do its job. They need not do it with a heavy hand (punitive). They merely need to be consistent.
Gregory, "My point is this, something as complex as the theory of relativity can be summarized in a couple of paragraphs. The proof, math and physics behind the theory may take volumes, but the summary can be clearly stated in brief."
ReplyDeleteWould you mind summarizing in a couple of paragraphs the theory of relativity? I know about the equation E=mc2 but I would love to hear you put it into a couple of paragraphs. Thanks.
CF, why do you keep repeating yourself for these yahoos? They have been unable to hear you MANY TIMES BEFORE!
ReplyDeleteThe economic stability of the Black Community can enhance all health care issues not just obesity!!
ReplyDeleteMichelle could have done a number of things in Haiti the least of which is hand out water and food..
My point is she is being wasted in fronting a secondary health concern like diabetes she should leave that to the health care experts even the Black doctors who maria commented on would no like that..
Michelle needs to be out front in a national agenda regarding economics, jobs, foreclosures, not a secondary health theme..Obama has put Michelle out to pasture with this margainal project
In defense of Texans, please remember that they did elect Barbara Jordan to Congress. Of course I guess some liberal types spiked the drinking water during those times.
ReplyDeleteBut the whole Republican wing-nut crazies are not to be toyed with. They have effectively derailed health care reform as well as any serious energy policy and will continue to stymie all efforts to roll back the Republican agenda - free-market, no government, cut taxes, etc. etc. DESPITE the fact that 30 years of this bullshit has resulted in massive failure. Pick any index you want - America is much worse off than we were 30 years ago when that bubble headed, god to the right, Ronald - Sugar Daddy- Reagan was elected.
Ask yourself this question: Why is it that we don't hear from Phyllis Schaffley and the Eagle Forum (or whatever the hell her organization was called) about how woman should be at home raising the kids and home schooling and baking cookies? The answer: THEY CAN'T AFFORD TO NOT WORK ANY MORE! It's as simple as that. The stay at home housewife has gone the way of the dodo bird thanks to the Republicans and their ideologically driven policies and economic irresponsibility. Family values> Yeah sure. And the kool-aid is grape flavored this week.
Hey, and do you think
I am not a usually conspiracy theorist, but there are too many questions about 911 that have not been answered. Until these questions are answered I will continue to believe that Cheney was, if not actively involved, had concrete knowledge of what was going to happen.
ReplyDeleteThings to remember about Dick Cheney and George Bush:
Cheney got himself placed charge of the Bush administration's terrorism task force.
Cheney DID NOT hold a meeting of the terrorism task force until October, 2001.
Cheney used the Air Force to play his war games on Sept. 11, 2001, at the same time planes were flying into buildings. He had the authority to issue orders to the the Air Force to shoot the planes down. In fact, the Air Force was preparing to do just that but Cheney ordered them to STAND DOWN.
Cheney and Bush and Condi ignored numerous credible warnings that Al Qaeda was going to stage terrorist attacks in this country using commercial airplanes.
Bush also ignored the August 6, 2001, Bush also ignored the August 6, 2001, Presidential Daily Briefing (PDB), entitled Bin Laden determined to strike in US. More important to clear brush on the little ranch for photo-ops.
So explain to me just why I should not believe that 911 was an inside job.

His only answer is to elect Republicans as mayors of Philadelphia and Chicago. Then the so-called street pirates will cease their destructive behavior and become altar boys and/or MBA candidates at Ivy League schools.
ReplyDeleteClose, but no cigar.
CF's answer is to have blacks swear fealty to their white "betters", hat in hand, and go back to the roles which the whites had intended for them -- second-class citizenship. And he uses such a prolific amount of words to say so little...

ReplyDeleteThe Guardian did a good job, something that even a simple Google search would find.
"The theory of relativity was revolutionary because it showed how the speed at which time happens is mutable; that space and time are not discrete entities: time and space and motion (ie, movement through space) collapse into a fourth dimension, in which all act on each other. It is impossible to say "now" without saying "here" and "how fast".
Or, to put it another way, imagine you have a twin. You stay on earth, your twin goes into space on a fast rocket ship for 10 years; when they come back, they're a couple of years younger than you are. It even works with aeroplanes: circle the earth, flying low; when you return to your starting point, your watch will be slightly behind. "If you were actually moving at the speed of light (which you couldn't do, but suppose you could)," says Penrose, "your watch would stop altogether." It's a rather more expensive method of age-defiance than Crème de la Mer, but then again, it has the advantage of being a physical law of the universe."

ReplyDeleteGregory:
DO you find it perverted that with the Black Community firmly in the hands of the favorable forces of the Democratic Party you are forced to masturbate about me stating that the Republicans are the fix to the Black community? The audacity is that you never have to own up to the destination you took us to.
CF's answer is to have blacks swear fealty to their white "betters", hat in hand, and go back to the roles which the whites had intended for them -- second-class citizenship. And he uses such a prolific amount of words to say so little...
Lying Mack:
What is the greatest generator of "Second Class Citizenship" for Black people today more than the injury suffered from failed public schools where those who were inculcated in a dysfunctional culture are aggregated into to?
I don't have a problem with your ability to tell us that OUR CULTURE WAS STOLEN during slavery. I DO have a question about your qualifications to construct a "functional culture" upon which a STRONG PEOPLE can be built. Instead you'd likely have a dependent people.
Check your quotes, CF. That wasn't me.
ReplyDelete@ FN:
ReplyDelete"It's not always easy to vet candidates for public office."
You realize that is the excuse disgruntled McCain staffers stated about Sarah Palin during the campaign.(when they found out she would not mind).
My question is: WHY? We have enough technology to vet anyone in the world. The tea baggers are really "going rouge".
Tea parties aren't what they used to be.
Peace.
~agape2010~
Gregory, thanks for the info on the theory of relativity.
ReplyDelete"You realize that is the excuse disgruntled McCain staffers stated about Sarah Palin during the campaign.(when they found out she would not mind)."
ReplyDeleteagape 2010 you are right. That was a case of a major party dropping the ball.
Funny how folks like CF and other neo-con lurkers are defending this Tea Party dingbat for believing things that would get the typical lefty type laughed out of public life, if not jailed (see Cynthia McKinney).
ReplyDeleteThe Truthers are a political third rail, not only for accusing over half the government and military of treason -- but using the most tenuous and outlandish logical straw men to do it. They use fairly straight forward questions and build bizarre narrative that have been shown to be false (over and over again). And from a systems engineering standpoint -- a conspiracy this complex would show some level of cracking somewhere.
Most serious political agitators, left and right tend to leave these loonies alone, primarily because their black-helicopter logic distract from the real issue -- the Bushies were asleep at the wheel and allow thousands of people to die.
The fact that Tea Baggers are running this crazy shows just how desperate they are to gain power and how ill prepared they are for the big show. Same reason why no serious progressives want anything to do with ANSWER or to a lesser extent, the Green Party -- they'll say any stupid thing that pops in their heads.
Not shocking. They also believe that the most investigated and vetted candidate in the media age was somehow born in Kenya -- even though there are birth certificates, eye witnesses and newspaper clippings to prove other wise. Why not believe in an outlandish conspiracy straight out of a Die Hard movie?
LAC:
ReplyDeleteCan you show me one post where I have even said ANYTHING about this woman?
I DON'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THIS WOMAN!!!!
She is IRRELEVANT to what I am focusing upon. Second only to Sarah Palin - the focus of your political lusts.
I'm from NYC and I will say this much. Larry Silverstein had purchased the WTC for a quarter of its value. He put an insurance policy which included coverage in case a plane flew into the buildings. Six months planes flew into the buildings. If it were any of us with our home insurance policies, we still we be under investigation. Silverstein has garnered over 50 billion I would say so far. He gets paid and many 911 rescuers have not been paid.
ReplyDeleteTwo days before 9/11 a large amount of shares for American Airlines and Pan Am were sold. No one knows (supposedly) who the seller was. How would some man in a cave know that military drills were to be held at the same time as the planes flying. What about NYC Fox which showed 5 mossad agents filming the crash and laughing. They were arrested but let go by Chernoff who was U.S. Attorney at the time.
If the government would infect a bunch of illerate black men with syphillis, don't think they would not knock off thousands of Americans for the miltary industrial complex.
