"When I feel cold, you warm me And when I feel I can't go on, you come and hold me It's you... And me forever Sara Smile.."
OK, the Hall & Oates ode to my girl Sarah is a bit much. But I swear that I don't ever want her to leave the national stage. She is the gift that keeps giving to us bloggers.
"She is back… pugnacious Republican Sarah Palin has made an appearance at the national convention of the “Tea Party” movement; which takes its name from the historic protest against British taxation, the Boston Tea party.
The former governor of Alaska and John McCain
“America is ready for another revolution and you are at the heart of this,” she told the adoring audience. “This is about the people and it’s bigger than any King or Queen of a tea party and it is a lot bigger than any charismatic guy with a teleprompter,” she said to laughter and applause."
So let me get this straight; just hours after ripping his O ness a new one for using a teleprompter to give his speeches (BTW, the fake cowboy from California used a pretty mean teleprompter as well) girlfriend resorts to something we all used to do in grade school (at least I did) she had an au natural cheat sheet going on in her hand. Yep, girlfriend, instead of a very public teleprompter, opted for her very private palm......(Sorry, I was thinking about something else there for a minute.) So anywhooo, Ms. Thing felt the need to take a peek at her palm a few times after taking questions from a very friendly audience. Apparently she had some things written down in there that kept slipping her mind: “energy” “tax cuts” (with “budget” in front of cuts crossed out) and “lift American spirits.” Nice. This adds new meaning to the term palm reader.
Oh field stop it, it wasn't like she wrote an entire speech in her palm. What's wrong with taking a quick look every now and then to get her thoughts together? Well, it wasn't such a quick look, and the questions were screened in advance. Oh field, you are so picky. You just don't like Sarah because she is a conservative. No, what I don't like are hypocrites, regardless of their political stripes. Sarah just happens to be at the head of the hypocrite class in A-merry-ca right now.
Still, here is hoping that she sticks around. And as long as there are suckers willing to pay her $100,000.00 to hear the piffle flowing from her mouth, I am guessing that Sarah will be smiling out of that glass house at us for years to come.
The fact that this wash-up beauty queen is now the Darling of the Tea Party shows what kind of ignorant buffoons that comprise this movement. Sarah Palin is a complete fraud.
ReplyDelete“Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.”
ReplyDelete-Martin Luther King, Jr.
Sarah Palin is the crazy cat lady of the GOP.
The conservative movement and the republican party, almost to the point of axiom, has emphasized the importance of merit and achievement in its adherents, yet in practice they always support the type of people who have not achieved or done anything of note.
Love him or hate him, you can't say that Obama isn't an intelligent man who at least thinks about what he says. Do you think SP would be where she is if she wasn't barely attractive? Any neutral observer would conclude that her only claim to fame is the ability to channel xenophobia, selfishness and the self-loathing that comes with it in a package that the "folks" can understand and support without saying its name.
That's not a sexist judgment, that is the simple fact of the situation.
I saw this comment on a right wing blog.
ReplyDeletehttp://politics.nashvillepost.com/2010/02/07/the-begining-of-the-end-sarah-palin-hijacks-the-tea-party-movement/
It brings up an interesting question - are some traditional Republicans, discredited by the last 8 years, trying to coopt the Tea Party and rebrand themselves?
Seems to me this matter got a lot of attention given there was only around 600 attendees.
One thing in particular, the libertarian componenet isn't going to be receptive to the big government associated with being the world's policeman.
I just don't see the equivalence there, Field. How about the O-Man promising transparency/open governance and then not having press conferences for 8 months? I'm going with that for hypocritical myself.
ReplyDeleteszpork
Any lingering notion that the teabaggers are an "independent" movement should have vanished. Palin is urging the GOP to absorb the movement. Despite several vocal teabaggers who comment here, their "revolution" still remains largely a fiction of Faux News and a beneficiary of loads of free publicity and promotion courtesy of Roger Ailes.
ReplyDeletePalin isn't stupid but I cannot say the same of those who supporter. Mencken was correct when he said that no one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public.
he has been more transparent than any president in history; press conferences are just one measure. he's not a hypocrite on this. on afghanistan, maybe.
ReplyDeleteThat should read "support her", not "supporter". I hate this built in spell checker.
ReplyDelete"Any lingering notion that the teabaggers are an "independent" movement should have vanished. Palin is urging the GOP to absorb the movement."
ReplyDeleteThis is true. I have heard from some repubs that theu are trying very hard to bring the movement within the mainstream of their party.
I heard that coming out of the teabagger conventions as well. So take it for what it's worth.
maria, meet szpork. :)

Trapped in SC -- Preach, Preach!!
If Sarah Palin looked Rosie O'Donnell and not the Yoga Instructor/MILF nurse who works in my office, I think even the most jaded neo-con must admit that she that she'd barely qualify as a poll watcher. Sexism and misogyny, ironically, saves the woman from the most brutal attacks.
Before people start screaming sexism, the point is that those who chose SP may be the most jaded and sexist of all. Think of all of the qualified conservative women and black people hurdled over by the McCain team to dredge up this over the hill bimbo? I'd take Clarence 'Uncle' Thomas over this idiot.
The truth is that John McCain and his brain trust were going for a hail mary with Sarah Palin. He's a boring old white guy versus a suave good looking Black dude who related to young people and hipsters. McCain had an image problem.
Simple strategy -- get a relatively unknown right wing female pol to draw Hillary supporters. She'll pull in women voters and declare a Christian jihad to pull in the real wing nuts. And she happens to have a phat ass, even better -- she'll get the white male base 'excited' enough to show up to the polls.
She was conservative enough and pretty enough to draw in votes, but she was supposed to be so unknown that she wouldn't distract from McCain.
The plan backfired. Sarah Palin is a pretty redneck. But she's a pretty redneck with a massive ego and political shrewdness. Essentially, she's got George Bush's brain in a personal trainer's body. She outshined her boss, and it cost him the election.
But, she also tapped into a base of rather racist people who are terrified that the Negro is taking his policies straight out of Mao's little red book. (Truthly, Obama's more a student of John Stuart Mill than Marx). Its a match made in right wing political heaven. The Tea Baggers have a voice for their nuttiness. And Sarah Palin has a steady cash flow (paid carnival barker for the Wacky Right) without any real work (you, like actually being a governor).
Why do folks lampoon using a teleprompter? I'm sure you can't read the thing line for line and it could convey a sense of not being truthful, but it pays to have notes (or speech) to glance at to make sure you get your points across. I refuse to give much attention to this tea party mess in Nashville.
ReplyDeleteIf this and the other 2009 "events" aren't transparency, then we in big trouble...
Spork.. you are kidding, right? The President has given so many interviews that the media was calling him over-exposed. And, he has had town meetings that were not pre-screened. And his meeting with the GOP and the dems were unscripted Q&As where he answered with in-depth, thoughtful answers.... that is not someone who is running from the media. Sarah will not give an interview to anyone except FOX news.
ReplyDeleteAnd the stunning hypocrisy of her answer regarding attacking Rohm Emmanuel for his use of the word "retard" and Limbaugh's same use of "retard" was simply beyond the pale. She said Rohm was using it in a mean way, whereas Limbaugh was satirical because he was describing democrats... Ironically, they were both using it to describe democrats.
This woman represents what is the worst of our culture... anti-intellectual, a lack of the ability for reflection, and the most raw naked hyper-ambition that is driven by ego to borderline narcissism.
If she is the nominee for the Repubs in 2012... Obama wins, no matter what the state of the nation.
Jody,
ReplyDeleteI will cosign with that wholeheartedly. However, I think she made too many enemies with the GOP cognoscenti to ever be a candidate again. I think they probably remember her shopping spree when she outfitted the Wasilla hillbillies at party expense.

Jody, when does your church service start?
"The truth is that John McCain and his brain trust were going for a hail mary with Sarah Palin. He's a boring old white guy versus a suave good looking Black dude who related to young people and hipsters. McCain had an image problem."
La-Coincidental, you must be a deacon in the church.
ch555x,there is nothing wrong with a teleprompter. There were times that I wish I had one. And I bet everyone else who does any public speaking will say the same thing.
Folks with O derangement syndrome will try anything to discredit the beige man.
La-Coincidental, you must be a deacon in the church.
ReplyDeleteHead Sunday School teacher and sexton actually. But yeah, spend half your life knee deep in church politics and local government and you learn a few things about how the game is played.
The scary part is that since the liberals can't ever put together a movement of their own this tea party thing could rejuvenate the right. All they need is someone with the charm of Brown to run as a pro-tea-party outsider, then take the Republican nomination. By that time the short-term memory of the American people will have forgotten about Bush; hence, the Dumbocrats go down-Jimmy Carter style-in 20012.
ReplyDelete"Dumbocrats go down-Jimmy Carter style-in 20012."
ReplyDeleteShe.......wrote......her......beliefs......on......her.....hand.
I know that 20012 was a typo, but that is the very irony that the tea-party movement embodies.
Tell me what substantive policies the tea-party movement embraces except getting rid of all taxes, living in caves in West Virginia, and maybe making Tim Tebow president in 20 years.
The very fact that we talking about them is not a testament to the power of their movement, but to the fact the most of America thinks that it's funny that they don't see how fucked-up they look. I used to talk to people the same way about Flavor Flav.
She wrote on her hand.
ReplyDeleteSHE WROTE ON HER DAMN HAND.
Nothing else need be said.
"Tell me what substantive policies the tea-party movement embraces except getting rid of all taxes, living in caves in West Virginia, and maybe making Tim Tebow president in 20 years."
ReplyDeleteDo you actually think you need substantive polices to get elected in this country? Remember how dumb people used to say Reagan was? You know, he was just an old, washed up actor; yet, he made the Democrats his bitches.
The tea party crown can make it happen. Especially since there is ZERO organized resistance on the left. Never underestimate your enemy.
Anon 9:59... there is a LARGE majority in this country that are not a part of any political activism. They work, pay taxes, raise their families and volunteer in local community events. They do not talk about politics in any organized way. But, every four years they go vote for president. And, when these people are asked if they would support Sarah Palin for president, they consistently and overwhelmingly say NO!.
ReplyDeleteJody,
ReplyDeleteI never said Palin would be on the ticket. All I was implying is that a smart and enterprising conservative just needs to co-opt this movement. My guess is that the early Republican front runners for 2012 will try and do that very thing. The one who tames the tea party crowd will win. Then it's look out Democrats. Especially since Obama will probably have a hard time bringing the base out after his Bill Clintonesque governing style. Nor is it likely that a left wing movement will emerge to challenge the tea party folks.
anonymous 9:59, you're an asshole.
ReplyDeleteI hope your fucking trailer blows up with you in it.
Because of asshats like you and paltry palin is the reason why this country is in the shape it's in.
Only a fool like you would support a jezebel like palin, but show the utmost disrespect and hatred towards a Harvard educated gentleman who happens to be a bit darker than you.
You assholes would rather see this country reduced to a third world country than to see a man successful because of the color of his skin.
C'mon asshat, you know deep down inside that's really what has you teabaggers foaming at the mouth.
Oh yeah, anyone who is proud to call themselves a "teabagger" has some other deep rooted problems a revolution won't fix.
P.S. asshat, when you think of a snappy rebuttal to my comment, I do not drink o-aid, I'm not a democrat; and, I don't follow any religion. I'm a leader, therefore I have no desire to "follow" anyone or any religion.
It sure feels alot better to walk upright rather than to have to lay down all the damn time.
Boy Stacks, your head is up your ass.
ReplyDeleteI do not care for Palin, republicans, or the Tea baggers; however, I can see what they are doing. Unlike like the left wing, the right is always looking figuring out how to obtain power. Also, unlike the left, they are organized, determined, and dedicated. Is that what pisses you off? Don't get pissed off; get your ass organized. If people don't like this bullshit then they need to become they change they seek. Unfortunately that's extremely rare with progressive folks.
anon said--Also, unlike the left, they are organized, determined, and dedicated.
ReplyDeletesure, i wonder how you think obama got elected. started with moveon.org and grew.
we don't need to be more organized against the likes of the tea-baggers, we're too busy trying to govern. we don't need to acquire power, we just need to keep it.
sarah's making the possible.
Yeah, my head is up my ass?!? As much as that turns you on asshat, I'll have to decline. Once again,(if you cannot count that far maybe you should write this down on your hand), I DO NOT ENDORSE ANY IDEOLOGICAL GROUPS OR BELIEFS.
ReplyDeleteI proudly do not support ANYTHING this country or it's inhabitants support.
You'll have to try again smokey.

Then what are you still doing here?
we don't need to acquire power, we just need to keep it.
ReplyDeleteBut we aren't keeping power at all; we are losing power.
If Obama doesn't stop his Bill Clinton impersonation the base will not be there in 2012. Since the Republicans will never go along with him-no matter how far to the center he goes-the president might a well cater to the folks who got him where he is.
Filled Negro:
ReplyDeleteAs a co-founder of AfroSpear - I have a serious question for you.
In light of the key problems that are resident within the Black community - so much of which is related to the issue of CONSCIOUSNESS - WHY DO YOU THINK that Sarah Palin gets far more coverage on the various Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Cashing blogs than do the 44 members of the Congressional Black Democrat Caucus - DESPITE the fact that Mrs Palin holds no elective office and thus has no power to impact the education of our children?
It appears that you all have both a credibility and integrity problem. In as much as the BLACK COMMUNITY ITSELF does not rebuke you for pushing the present machine into POWER over our institutions and yet so many of our dreams remain unfulfilled despite all of the promises- you are able to continue on - unabated.
To be CLEAR to Mellaneous and others - I am NOT asking you to change a single word that you post. YOU are the sole administrator. I AM saying that you have little credibility IF your goal is to model the content and character of your posts after the key issues that are resident "WITHIN the Black community".
You have no shame as an advocate for Democratic Party and Progressive-Fundamentalism.
Hey Brother Field you know I am glad that you posted this for discussion.
ReplyDeleteJody and my man from South Carolina kind of hit things on the head.
Jody-- very good point about the anti-intellectual leanings of Palin. You know when she was interviewed and asked what magazines she read she couldn't name one. But keep in mind that while Palin is a conservative she was speaking to folks who are ultra conservative.
You seem well read so I know you have read how Fascism begins to raise its head. The fascist don't need a coherent message they simply preach narrow nationalism, close the borders and disenfranchise whatever minority is handy and long hated.
Trapped in SC- I know you'll disagree and it seems hard to believe, but a lot more Americans than you think are paying attention to the ultra right wing tea party folks. Unlike you, they can't explain whats going on around them so they are tempted to blame those others, those immigrants, those folks who are spending my tax dollars, them Islamic folks with their "Islamofascism". They share most folks populous dislike for big banking and corporations to some extent -- but they will always support American corporations over others - and they want the government/military to go out their kick some butt and do some torturing if you have to.And don't forget a lot of fundamentalist Christians agree with them, they are just sitting on the sidelines for now. And if you listen to them closely you hear more and more talk that sounds like their desire for Holy War with the Islamic world.
And if you listen around the water cooler these days there is more and more agreement about the problem of immigrants and yes Negroes.
Did anyone notice the different reactions to the movie Precious? Jody please help me understand why so many liberal minded white folks applauded this movie.
Anyway these folks have to be taken seriously and challenged or at least shown the shallowness of their ideas the dead end road it leads to.
"Then what are you still doing here?"
ReplyDeleteBecause II chose to drop a couple of posts dosen't mean I follow anything asshat. It just shows that I contribute to discussions on open forums.(Just like you do every day.)
Clearly YOU don't support this blog, so what are YOU still doing here?
CF --I am afraid to ask but I will bite. Why isn't conservatives including Sarah Palin and especially the Tea Partiers who have been espousing a thinly veiled racism, while opposing immigration be relevant to a blog discussing issues in the Black community
ReplyDeletePresident Of The United States: DEMOCRAT
ReplyDeleteUS Senate: 57 Democrats + 2 Independents that caucus with them
US House: 257 Democrats - and thus a powerful majority
IN VARIOUS PLACES WHERE BLACKS LIVE IN OUR HIGHEST CONCENTRATIONS:
* Definitely a Democratic Bastion controlling the Schools, the Public Safety and the Economic Policy organs
* IN many cases - the State apparatus also is similarly dominated.
At the time where a RATIONAL PERSON would say - Their STRUGGLE for the construction of their fabled ALL ENCOMPASSING, VERTICAL POLITICAL MACHINE that they hope to expand HORIZONTALLY - WHO DO THEY FOCUS MORE OF THEIR ATTENTION ON?
1) Their LEGISLATIVE PROGRESSION
or
2) Sarah Palin, Rush Limbaugh, Michael Steele
NONE OF WHOM hold a public office.
And they have the audacity to call someone else a "hater'.

Sarah Palin & The Tea Party Klan vs Charleston South Carolina's Gangster Killer Bloods

Mellaneous when RACISM starts walking up to Black people and shooting us in the head, having us bleed out on the streets - I will personally watch out for all White folks walking up to me with a Lipton Tea Bag around his neck OR something written on her hand for I know they they are TRYING TO KILL ME.
You haven't contributed anything of intelligence Stacks. If you want to laugh off the Tea Partiers, okay. I guess it's especially okay with you since you don't care about this country. For those of us who still give a shit, and who want to see the Republicans take it on the chin in 2010 and 2012, we will continue to call out the president and push for a real response to the Republicans/Tea baggers.
ReplyDeleteUh, yeah anon. keep reaching asshat.
ReplyDeleteWhy should I care about this country if I'm not even considered a real a-merry-can according to your goddess sarah palin.
BTW-I laugh off the tea partiers because they're a bunch of white redneck pussies who know well enough to talk their shit from a safe enough distance from the nearest Black neighborhood. They're only tough in numbers with automatic weapons and liquor in their system.
The only reason alot of you whites are still breathing is because of the number of rednecks that stick together, combined with white privilege.
Hey, unconstructive, how much does massa pay you to shine his shoes?
ReplyDeleteWow, Stacks, have fun at your next New Black Panthers meeting.
ReplyDeleteOkay I will bite again. Why do the kids in that gang in South Carolina cause the problems they do? I mean are some peoples kids just born that way? Do inner-city kids at least --some of them --have a violence gene that programs them to destroy other people who like them?
ReplyDeleteI mean we have gone around and around on this one and you know how I would explain it. What's your explanation for all this domestic violence. NOTE: I say domestic because I am curious what leads folks to kill other people for profit using armies, tanks, unmanned planes, manned jets, 500 pound bombs, cluster bombs, incendiary bombs, bombs, missles guns, lots of guns. I am not going to talk about the murderers of hope.
CF, you are making the argument that the progressive movement, African Americans and the Democratic party are one and the same just because the current POTUS happens to be part of all three.
ReplyDeleteUnlike the Republicans, which have shrank to about 35% of the electorate due to the narrow-mindedness and untenable positions that they support and carry, the Democrats have to actually govern, Something that the likes of Sarah Palin thought better of once she was actually in the arena, hence the quitting 2 years in. Movements take coalitions, and the Tea Party movement cannot advance on the bigotries and grievances of a bunch of pissed-off old white people who are scared that the country is getting a lot less monochromatic.
My only problem with the Democratic Party is the fecklessness that they display in light of the legion of achievements that they can claim credit for.
1. Interstate Highway System Ike was a liberal, fuck what ya heard.
2. Almost all of our Labor Laws
3. The Marshall Plan
4. Environmental Laws
5. Freedom of Information Act
6. Workplace safety laws
7. Social Security
8. The Space Program
9. Securities Act of 1933 & Most banking Regulations
10. The Peace Corps
11. Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA)
12. The Civil rights movement
13. Fight against Nazis, Fascism and Totalitarianism
Wilson, FDR ,Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy. All liberals
14. The Development and Deployment for the Internet (DARPA/HPCA)
15. The Tennessee Valley project
16. Women's right to vote
17. Universal Public Education
18. National Weather Service
19. National Science Foundation/Basic Scientific Research
20. Product Labeling/Truth in Advertising Laws
21. Public Health Service and CDC
22. Morrill Land Grant Act(State Universities)
23. Rural Electrification
24. Public Universities
25. Bank Deposit Insurance
26. Earned Income Tax Credit
27. Family and Medical Leave Act
28. Consumer Product Safety Commission
29. Public Broadcasting
30. Hoover Dam
31. Pell Grants
32. Americans With Disabilities Act
33. State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)
Each and every one of these things, if brought to a vote or mentioned for discussion in the public arena in this day, age and political climate, would be deemed socialist by the uninformed if for no other reason than to let a young, articulate, brilliant man take credit for them just because he happens to be black.
I know that you will defer to the tired old, "The 'street pirate' and 'black ineptitude in inner city government' spiel" that you like to give us, but that is as much a truism of the black experience as the Ku Klux Klan is in white circles. It exists, but not to the depth and breath that you want it to. You use it to make an assertion that disintegrates under the slightest bit of scrutiny.
Just like Sarah Palin.
P.S. Don't remember to tip your waitresses.
Spork.. you are kidding, right? The President has given so many interviews that the media was calling him over-exposed.
ReplyDeleteJody, there is a big difference between giving an interview and a press conference.
Like having to answer questions by those that don't blindly support his positions.
BTW-I laugh off the tea partiers because they're a bunch of white redneck pussies who know well enough to talk their shit from a safe enough distance from the nearest Black neighborhood.
Isn't that what Blacks in Los Angeles were saying about the gays after prop 8? That the gays are too scared to go to the nearest black neighborhood to protest.
Mellaneous when RACISM starts walking up to Black people and shooting us in the head, having us bleed out on the streets - I will personally watch out for all White folks walking up to me
The truth is the black / brown racism is killing kids all across the country at a rate that the klan could only dream about. Klanned parenthood is trying hard to keep up their end of the dream of a white nation.
Okay I will bite again. Why do the kids in that gang in South Carolina cause the problems they do? I mean are some peoples kids just born that way? Do inner-city kids at least --some of them --have a violence gene that programs them to destroy other people who like them?
ReplyDeleteStructural economic problems, combined with racial segregation are the roots of most of these issues. Add in things like the drug war and cultural nihilism (which is largely a synthesis of the aforementioned issues) and there you have it. The fact that most black youth are killing other black youth is largely a product of racial segregation. It's also a product of gang life, which is mostly fueled by the drug trade and which pits black gang vs. black gang.

ReplyDeleteI have always believed that John McCain used Palin to get back at his party for not giving him the necessary money needed to run his campaign against Obama.
The presidency was called in July when Obama opened up campaign offices in every state and Puerto Rico and McCain could only afford the red states...
I actually think McCain was trying show people what ugliness and mean spiritedness looks like in his party...it can come in the form of a Palin.
And Palin knows she can never be the force of a Shrillary...
I personally think since that Senator in Alaska (what's his name again?) retired (because they were going to indict him) she lost her backing in her home state. If you remember, she was not well thought of in Alaska.
And she and McCain never got along...and he really wanted her to shut up and stand there while he ran (which she wouldn't).
I think she's like her grand baby's daddy (what's his name?) and has exhausted her 15 minutes of fame...so she's making all the money she can...while she can.
Sorry, mind still foggy from the second line dancing...and... stuff. WHO DAT!?!?

I blame the President for NOT putting the proper people in place to make sure, the Stimulus package would be a success! I will NOT blame him for Wall Street! Wall street has been around for a long time and it will continue to exist after the President leave's office! if Black folk can put up with ALL those white President's, they can put up with a BLACK President!
I don't know what will happen in 2012, but, I know for a FACT, I ain't Voting for no Republican's! but, trust me, misguided Minority's will not hesitate, to put two SEMI looking uneducated WHITE PEOPLE in office!

"question for you.
ReplyDeleteIn light of the key problems that are resident within the Black community - so much of which is related to the issue of CONSCIOUSNESS - WHY DO YOU THINK that Sarah Palin gets far more coverage on the various Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Cashing blogs than do the 44 members of the Congressional Black Democrat Caucus -DESPITE the fact that Mrs Palin holds no elective office and thus has no power to impact the education of our children?"
Because Ms. Palin represents a political ideology in this country (and is one of its leaders) that will make it impossible for our children to ever get a proper education.
I hope I could help you with this nagging question that seems to be just eating away at you.
RT, a die hard Ute I see. :) The folks in Florida should be sending boxes of oranges every day to every person in Utah for giving them their coach.
Makaii,I will check that link. But I swear your computer just doesn't like me. :)

ReplyDeleteSpork.. you are kidding, right? The President has given so many interviews that the media was calling him over-exposed.
Jody, there is a big difference between giving an interview and a press conference.
Like having to answer questions by those that don't blindly support his positions.
LOL! uh, did you miss the little Q&A he did a week ago with the GOP? puleeeze. you are not going to win on this topic!
Hey, unconstructive, how much does massa pay you to shine his shoes?
ReplyDeleteHey Stacks:
Here is my routine with the WHITE MAN'S SHOES.
I have a store front operation.
He drops off his shoes for me to shine.
I OUTSOURCE the operation to the Hispanic owned business who has an ACTUAL shoe repair business up the street.
I my store front I have no polishing machines. I only have walls and walls of shoes being received and delivered to the White Man.
HERE IS THE TRICK though Stacks:
I HAVE A 300% MARK UP on my Shoe signing services to the WHITE FOLKS. I profit greatly from EVERY WHITE MAN YOU SEND MY WAY. THANK YOU. You feed my family with your ignorance
I retain my DIGNITY, greeting every White Man who walks into my shop, shaking his hand and looking him squarely in the eyes.
I then look at his shoes that he hands me and based on the wear pattern of his shoes I can tell him:
* He has a bad posture - giving him a referral to the Chiropractor down the street
* He is over weight - sending business to the personaltrainer
* He walks in water too frequently with his dress shoes - sending him to the shoe store that sells work boots.
You see Stacks - it is NOT that I "Shine The White Man's SHOES FOR MONEY". The fact is that I provide a VALUED SERVICE, trusted consultation and ABUNDANT FLOW OF REVENUE for the other businesses in my local economic eco-system.
I COULD NOT DO IT WITH OUT YOU.
THANK YOU BROTHER.
Please keep sending WHITE MEN my way for ME TO SHINE THEIR SHOES.
I SMILE at them because I realize that with the VALUED SERVICE that I provide to them THE CONTENTS OF THEIR WALLETS will end up in my own.
Not because of SOCIAL JUSTICE THEORY but because of the EXCHANGE OF SERVICES BETWEEN PEERS!!!!
The smile is merely to express appreciation for their business.
(One day you are going to appreciate me Filled Negro)
I like you South Carolina. I just hope that a "Gangsta Killa Blood" doesn't take you out while you have your eyes out looking for Tea Party people.
ReplyDelete
CF, you are making the argument that the progressive movement, African Americans and the Democratic party are one and the same just because the current POTUS happens to be part of all three.
NO. This is not correct.
I was saying this SAME DAMNED THING before Obama even stepped on the scene.
The FACTS ARE EVIDENT when you inspect where our people live in our highest concentrations: THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY and Progressives have the Black community ON LOCK!!! People like YOU who sing their song at the top of their lungs - work to NULLIFY any rational MANAGEMENT of our PERMANENT INTERESTS being expressed BY the establishment. Instead you prefer PUTTING THEM INTO ESTABLISHMENT POSITIONS with the HOPE that they will deliver IF YOU SUPPORT THEM HARD ENOUGH!!!!
Don't you get it? Certainly Purple Cow must.

Low & Country:
We can read the very same words and come up with entirely different conclusions.
YOU say: The Republicans were REPUDIATED out of POWER as punishment for their incompetence.
I SAY: YOU ARE RIGHT!!! This means that the DEMOCRAT/PROGRESSIVES RUN ALL OF THE KEY INSTITUTIONS. Despite their LOCAL FAILURES - BIGOTS Like YOU continue to support them because you are on a "Mission From God". Get the Progressives in to power and THEN we will one day see the Promised Land. We should not expect to see any brochures along the way showing how the bedrooms, kitchens and bathrooms in the PROMISED LAND look, thus insuring that we are not in a CONFIDENCE SCHEME.
Do you even ask for the URL of the "Promised Land" resort Low & Country?
2. Labor Laws
ReplyDeleteYou need a JOB to benefit from Labor Laws. Impress me by addressing the 16.3 Black male UNEMPLOYMENT RATE. This rate is HIGHER where the Progressives are in power: http://blogs.bet.com/news/newsyoushouldknow/national-milwaukee-has-the-highest-unemployment-rate-justices-hear-voting-rights-case-blacks-save-less-for-retirement-survey-finds/
3. The Marshall Plan
Europe got "Reconstruction Money" from America's treasury. What about Africa?
4. Environmental Laws
Great. I support this. However the rivers in Pittsburgh are cleaner today than in the last 150 years BECAUSE so many of the FACTORIES that were polluting them have shut down - along with the JOBS.
5. Freedom of Information Act
6. Workplace safety laws
Ditto
7. Social Security
Talk to me about Social Security in 2042 when it is insolvent. 20 years after Medicare is in the tank.
8. The Space Program
9. Securities Act of 1933 & Most banking Regulations
And this does what for "The Unbanked"?
10. The Peace Corps
11. Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA)
Great - Now how about enlisting some of these Unemployed Youth to go around the world and spread their benefit to those who are REALLY in need?
12. The Civil rights movement
I am happy that my people are a forgiving people. They now are Democrats despite all that this corporate entity has done to us in its history.
13. Fight against Nazis, Fascism and Totalitarianism
Wilson, FDR ,Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy. All liberals
Tell me he did not add WILSON to the list?
Wilson fought against this oppression globally but RESEGREGATED all Federal buildings against BLACK AMERICANS!!!!!!
14. The Development and Deployment for the Internet (DARPA/HPCA)
ReplyDeleteI am happy that the evil capitalistic telecom corporations are spending more than $30 BILLION this year to keep the Progressive Internet going.
15. The Tennessee Valley project
And this RED State thanks you profusely
16. Women's right to vote
17. Universal Public Education
It would be nice to see more women living in Progressive areas VOTE to remove the school system administrators who are failing their kids.
18. National Weather Service
19. National Science Foundation/Basic Scientific Research
Great!!
The Conservatives preferred wetting their fingers and sticking it in the air to tell the weather.
20. Product Labeling/Truth in Advertising Laws
Lots of good a LABEL did the Tobacco companies. They still got sued by people who said they didn't know that smoking kills.
21. Public Health Service and CDC
And thus Progressive areas are abundantly represented with RED PUSH PINS detailing high infection rates from liberal "exchanges of body fluid".
Thank you CDC for providing "constructive feedback".
22. Morrill Land Grant Act(State Universities)
23. Rural Electrification
24. Public Universities
Why don't they go after the high tuition costs as they do the drug companies? Instead they seek to throw MORE MONEY at them.
25. Bank Deposit Insurance
26. Earned Income Tax Credit
Great. I honestly support the EITC as a means of "social justice" redistribution than I do MINIMUM WAGE LAWS which attempt to force a CONSUMER OF LABOR to VALUE the output of a worker based on his NEEDS than upon the ECONOMIC VALUE that his work brings to the evil company.
IF ONLY some of YOU paid for your Big Macs based on the EMPLOYEES NEEDS - I would believe that YOU support living wages.
27. Family and Medical Leave Act
28. Consumer Product Safety Commission
You need a JOB to benefit from family leave. Unfortunately too many people today are on PERMANENT LEAVE.
29. Public Broadcasting
And this has brought us the fair and balanced "Bill Moyers Journal" and "Now".
30. Hoover Dam
31. Pell Grants
Great.
ReplyDelete32. Americans With Disabilities Act
33. State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP)
IF you believe that it is a GOOD THING to have an increasing number of people on the government dole then SCHIP is a great program.
Unfortunately the now closed Southwest Atlanta Medical Center, which had TOO MANY GOVERNMENT PATIENTS - would tell you that PRIVATE INSURANCE reimburses better. This is handy when a Black hospital seeks to STAY OPEN.
Low & Country it is clear to me that you are interested in worshiping pictures upon the wall rather than explaining how where your theories are in most popular there is also much angst
CF "You see Stacks - it is NOT that I "Shine The White Man's SHOES FOR MONEY". The fact is that I provide a VALUED SERVICE, trusted consultation and ABUNDANT FLOW OF REVENUE for the other businesses in my local economic eco-system."
ReplyDeleteThank you, CF. I DO appreciate you. If there were more Blacks who thought like you, we would have thriving businesses in the black community and poverty would be nearly gone. You have the kind of mind that the black community needs.
Unfortunately the thunder of the 'herd mentality' is too loud for anyone to hear you. They keep running off the cliff with their useless ways of thinking, ideologies, and paralyzing pride that they are closed to any new possibilities.
Man, you are deep. And I am sure Field DOES appreciate you.

ReplyDeleteYou have some seriously passionate readers. I skimmed some of the comments. Whew!
ReplyDeleteAs for Palin, this subject has been oon every single news & comedy program, it's viral on the internet. She continues to receive so much attention and it doesn't matter what she does.
I've been in advertising 30+ yrs and the mantra has always been along the lines of "any news/publicity is better than none at all". I have to agree. She frightens the committed Right but she should frighten the Left as well. As uninformed and half ass as she comes off, she is a lightening rod for publicity & discussion. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe Dubya would be elected President, but he was, albeit illegally. The upshot to that is, he was overwhelming re-elected when everyone should have known better.
She has 3 years to perfect her performance.
I hope for Obama's sake that she runs for Prez. Obama will raise $800 million for his campaign fund, which means that the Republican candidate will need to raise about $1 billion to stand a chance. There's no chance of that.
ReplyDeleteClarence, I am so glad that you could find an explanation to why every single thing that the progressive movement has done to better life in country has been misguided or a failure.
ReplyDeleteBut you didn't say what the conservative movement has done to make American life better.
I imagine that if you were around in 1950, you would be on the editorial board of a newspaper that
argued that segregation was a good thing for us "negras" because we had not yet learned the social skills to intermix with the majority white population.
You would have argued against the Montgomery bus boycotts and the Greensboro sit-ins because we should not want to make white people embrace a change that they we not yet ready for. They would embrace Blacks not when they were ready, but when we had earned the right to be embraced as citizens.
If you would have around during the time of the 3/5ths compromise, you would have argued that the black person was only worth 2/5 of the value of a white person due to the fact that the slave was unruly and uncivilized, as evidenced by the behavior of Denmark Vesey and the leaders of other slave revolts.
You would have argued, at the end of Strom Thurmond's life, that he was not a hypocrite for filibustering a civil rights bill for 24 hours while at the same time fathering a child with a black woman. You would have argued that as a white man in that time, he had every right to conceal the fact of his attraction to black women, for interracial attraction is a desirous thing for blacks, but utterly repulsive for the white population.
But you save your "critiques" for the white community when they come in to get their shoes shined.
As per fearing streets....LOL....I hear you. I would love to see you walk thru the streets of Taipei, Port of Spain, the Mitte in Berlin, or the projects in Dallas at 1 AM....all of which I have done, and would do at anytime. Please....just stop the "street pirates" shit. It's unbecoming, Clarence. I'm more in fear when my car breaks down in Forsyth County, GA than Richland County, SC.
It's a shame when a black person lives disavowing his blackness behind the anonymity a computer screen provides him knowing full well that the society that he longs for will never truly accept him as advertised. So instead of fighting the structure that has resisted him for centuries, you fight the movement that has laid the foundation for your achievements at the first sign of your own individual acceptance by those who have hated you up to this point. Armed with the "knowledge" of your acceptance, you proceed to criticize the same things that, unbeknownst to you, have helped countless people, white and black, male and female, city and country, north and south.
But your criticism is aimed at blacks ONLY.
The very definition of a house negro.
Maria "we don't need to be more organized against the likes of the tea-baggers, we're too busy trying to govern. we don't need to acquire power, we just need to keep it."

@California Girl "She frightens the committed Right but she should frighten the Left as well. As uninformed and half ass as she comes off, she is a lightening rod for publicity & discussion. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe Dubya would be elected President, but he was, albeit illegally. The upshot to that is, he was overwhelming re-elected when everyone should have known better.

Yes, I agree. Unfortunately, there are too many Dems who think like Maria, which increases the possibility for Palin to run in 2012 and win!
"Republican candidate will need to raise about $1 billion to stand a chance. There's no chance of that."
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding me?
The corporations are the backbone of the republiklan party, not to mention all of the uber goobers that like to sport dixie flags on their coffee mugs.
Shit, they can raise that in a day if they want to.
And now, with the new bill passed allowing corporations to be considered "human" and thus allows them to donate as much money they want.
They can pretty much buy any candidate they want now. I wonder how congress will vote on the slavery bill in 2012?
The Purple Cow "I hope for Obama's sake that she runs for Prez. Obama will raise $800 million for his campaign fund, which means that the Republican candidate will need to raise about $1 billion to stand a chance. There's no chance of that."
ReplyDeleteAnother foolish thinking Democrat who thinks he is a Socialist.lol
How much will Obama be able to raise after four years of governing from the dead center?
ReplyDeleteTrapped in SC I applaud you, good writing brother.
ReplyDeleteIt's coons like cf that would call the cops on a homeless person stealing food, rather than try to find out why he is stealing food in the first place.
People like cf are no less dangerous than the white people who hate us. I'm glad we're not having this conversation 200 years ago, or we'd all be dead.
I hope for Obama's sake that she runs for Prez. Obama will raise $800 million for his campaign fund, which means that the Republican candidate will need to raise about $1 billion to stand a chance. There's no chance of that.
ReplyDeleteHEY PURPLE COW!!!
I know that you have "OBAMA'S SAKE" fully articulated.
What about the BLACK COMMUNITY'S "Sake"?
Is our "SAKE" being advanced in CHICAGO where the MACHINE that Obama has control over NATIONALLY has an unchallenged majority? THERE ARE NO REPUBLICANS elected state-wide in Illinois to "SUPPRESS BLACK PEOPLE" AND still!! there are massive issues.
By the way I also ready a column that Half The Blacks In The UK are Unemployed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8468308.stm
Shouldn't you be focusing on your own God forsaken country?
Who are the REPUBLICANS in the UK that are suppressing Black people?
Who is the "George W Bush" of the Torries?
P.S.- why is it that prick s.thurmond lived to be 101?!? A hundred and fuckin' one?
ReplyDeleteWell, thanks to genocide via malnutrition and unhealthy lifestyles, most of us will probably live to be about 60, if that long.

"spoken like a member of the minority party, which will remain so. what i said was true. the teabaggers are only splitting the republicans. that helps the democrats."
ReplyDeleteThen why are the Democrats going to lose seats in november?
Maria, "you fail to acknowledge: sarah palin was the tipping point that pushed many independents TO obama. the saw palin for the unskilled hack and fraud she is."
ReplyDeleteYou, Miss Maria of non-believing dumbocrats, fail to 'see' that this is 2010 and the Democrats have done NOTHING for the people.
Do you think what happened in the last election is something permanent and will not change in 2012?
It's already changing-dear Maria of non-believing do-nothing dumbocrats. Dems lost a valuable seat in MA and you haven't even noticed that is an "omen" for what's to come.
Yes, you are the classic dumbocrat.
Anon 11:13,
ReplyDeleteBecause the opposition party ALWAYS gains seats in a midterm election.
Every time.
I'll also bet that you think the sun doesn't rise until you wake up.
Scotty Brown is a Massachusetts Republican, which is about the same as a South Carolina democrat. If I were a Palin-ite, I wouldn't have a hard-on about that yet. He's still to the left of the republican caucus, in addition, he disavowed any notion that the teabaggers helped him get elected.
Next!

Low & Country:
I am fixing in on a proper reading of you.
You are the Democratic equivalent of "Let them eat CAKE....from BACK IN THE DAY".
It is a distinct instance of "Worshiping The Portraits On The Wall". This time it focuses on the grave stones upon which we walk. The "Good graves" that is.
You see as Black People 2010 come to YOU for
* Jobs
* Quality Education
* Shelter From Street Pirates
* A Shot In The Rear For Their Infection received after following your social mores.....
YOUR STANDARD ANSWER for you to FEED them with is to sit them on your lap, pull out your OLD photo album flip through the pictures of how you helped fight against yesterday's enemies.
In their excitement over seeing YOUR excitement their hunger pains in the present are to be quenched.
They don't dare note that:
* YOU now run the lunch counters that they were not allowed to sit at. EXCEPT they can't SIT DOWN because so many of these places are now CLOSED due to lack of economic viability.
* YOU now command the fire and police departments. Thus IF they get hoses sprayed upon them as they protest AGAINST YOU demanding jobs - then YOU are the one directing the hoses and police dogs
* Those who physically assault them in the greatest numbers are OF THEIR OWN. Their consciousness is a byproduct of the COMMUNITY STANDARDS and enforcements that YOU have imposed in the eco-system
Thus if the Pre-Civil Rights SOUTH is an environment that HATRED hath produced - they are waiting for YOU to show some intellectual consistency and tell them WHAT CAUSED THIS PRESENT DEPRAVITY?
Will YOU display the courage to go after the "Gangsta Killa Bloods" as you did the "Knights of Darkness" that rode in 57 Chevy's instead of Low Riders?
What good is your POLITICAL AGENDA if it does not in fact SERVE THE PEOPLE'S NEEDS but instead is used for PORTRAIT WORSHIP?

Or do you think that Tom Tancredo is going to put a cap in you first?
,there is nothing wrong with a teleprompter. There were times that I wish I had one. And I bet everyone else who does any public speaking will say the same thing.
ReplyDeleteFolks with O derangement syndrome will try anything to discredit the beige man.
It's not that he uses a teleprompter, it's how obvious it is when he is and isn't using the teleprompter.
And then you have Oba-mao telling Americans that we are "ignorant" for not being able to speak other languages, and then he goes on to flub words in a number of languages. I have enough trouble with english, and even I know it's cinco de mio.
Bush was an idiot for not knowing how to pronounce nuclear, compare that to Oba-mao and his corpse-man pronunciation.
Like you said the right is trying to discredit Oba-mao, exactly like the left does to bush/republicans.
They lost Ted Kennedy's seat! That's been in the Democratic column for decades!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, during the 2002 midterms the Republicans picked up eight seats. Also, the Democrats picked up seats in 1998, despite having the presidency as well. If ever there was a set of circumstance that were favorable for a party in power to pick up seats, it is the 2010 election. However, because of the confusing tendency for Obama to ignore his base and go to the middle-along with senate and congressional Dems-the 2010 election is shaping up to be a missed opportunity.
@ anon11:28 It's Cinco de Mayo, not cinco de mio
ReplyDelete
They lost Ted Kennedy's seat! That's been in the Democratic column for decades!
ReplyDeleteAnon - as a conscious member of the Black community I am far, far, far more interested in knowing:
WHAT do the AGENTS of the Democratic Party who work doggedly to fuse the "American Political Domain" with the "Community Cultural Consciousness And Competence Domain" have to do to LOSE THEIR TRUSTED SEATS inside the "Secret and Cherished Places" WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY after we fail to achieve our PERMANENT INTERESTS after decades of them keeping the seat warm?
WHO is the Black People's "Scott Brown" who reminds the "Democrats who are Black" that it is not the "Democrat's Seat" at our community round table - instead the seat is for anyone who can implement a plan to actually have us obtain more MEASURABLE RESULTS in a more universally distributed manner - just as the progressives like to have grace spread.
Tell me what substantive policies the tea-party movement embraces except getting rid of all taxes, living in caves in West Virginia, and maybe making Tim Tebow president in 20 years.
ReplyDeleteDo you have a link to the tea-party saying they want to live in caves? Or is that your way of insulting people you don't agree with?
Instead of asking what the republicans can do for you, ask yourself why haven't the democrats done anything for you.
Did you know in Los Angeles the liberal city council ruled that no new fast food joints in south central. Why is that? Don't the Democrats believe that African Americans aren't smart enough to make choices for themselves?
What do Democrats do for Blacks?
Education is controlled by democrats (follow the money, NEA is the largest political donor in the country and donates, well, to democrats. Why are democrat controlled schools failing black children at the outrageous rate they allow. In the san fernando valley (los angeles), El Camino high school wins national decathlons, across the valley is sylmar hs. Needless to say, one school is in a white neighborhood, one isn't.
If democrats care about black children, why are they determined to keep them in failing public schools instead of letting receive vouchers and put thjeor kids in a better school. It's not as if any democrat leaders put THIER kids in the public school system. What do your elected democrat leaders know about public schools you don't? It's obvious why democrats are against school vouchers, NEA and teacher unions political contributions. The lack of education will keep blacks on the democrat plantation for years to come.
Bush was called a racist when he wanted to privatize social security. If he got his way, would that have helped or hurt blacks?
What is the average life span for a black male, what is the age of social security. With the breakdown of the black family, being unmarried the social security benefits don't go to the man's 30 year long girlfriend, they get given to a white person. If a portion of SS was privatized, he could pass along the money he earned to his kids for maybe the first home purchase in the family, or to the grandkids for maybe the first college education in the family.
Is there any need to point out the stats about African-American abortions and the democrats support for abortions? If republicans were supporting something that killed blacks at 3Xs their % of the population, the democrats would be calling abortions as the byproduct of the KKK. Which they are, but that's the history of the democrat party.
Time for "Translating Constructive Feedback"........
ReplyDeleteYou are the Democratic equivalent of "Let them eat CAKE....from BACK IN THE DAY".

and i noticed that YOU didn't respond to my other comment about how the teabaggers are likely to split the republican party and help democrats, and the impact palin had on the last presidential election.
dismiss me and the democrats at your own peril, whoever you are.
Low & Country:
ReplyDeleteKeep talking.
I love it.
Here is how I work. The more you talk the more I understand the pattern of your debate TACTICS.
Here is what I am reading so far.
EVERY TIME I try to take the focus "LOCALLY"!!!, where the Black Establishment order; having conspired with the Democratic Party NOW HAS TOTAL DOMINATION where our people live....................YOU keep projecting OUTWARD - back to the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT or.........WHITE FOLKS.
(Unlike most people - I give PROOF of my argument)
1)TRANSLATION: Since the President is a black person, whites are well within their rights to act as unwitting fake populists and to even vote against their interests ...
2) TRANSLATION:
Blacks aren't entitled to basic social protections because a small portion of the community engages in acts that are against society's frameworks. The deserve to die off because Jamal deals drugs and Kisha got pregnant at 16.
Side note - I confronted a local Black Racism Chasing politician ON THE RADIO about 2 years ago. She said that "POOR BLACK PEOPLE DESERVE PROTECTION just as rich White folks get.
I asked her: PROTECTION......FROM WHO????
Hey Low & Country: Have you ever heard the SOUND of a "Deer In The Headlights"? Even the "Fight the power host" had to admit that I stumped her with a question that HER PROGRESSIVE constituents had never asked her before.
Do you see why it is vital that you debate with us evil conservatives?
3) TRANSLATION: Blacks would be A-OK if they weren't so damned BLACK. Maybe whites would then patronize our gas stations, weave stores and Nation of Islam bean pie outlets.
Warning L&C - reverse course in your debate with me. Its getting pathetic. At least Mellaneous has the social redeeming character of HATING CAPITALISM to back him up.
Do you need for me to show you the Black man who was shot at the GAS STATION a few weeks ago by street pirates? I bet he won't do anything "stupid" like that again. Why did he think he could PULL HIS WALLET OUT in public like that?
4) TRANSLATION: It is easier for me to talk about the 96% black-on-black crime rate than it is for me to talk about the 91% white-on-white crime rate.
I have full confidence that YOU CAN DO BETTER THAN THIS L&C.
Let's play your game for a second.
Let's go with the notion that there is an 96% BoB crime rate and a 96% WoW crime rate.
Does THIS percentage indicate TOTAL CRIME in absolute numbers?
IF of the 100 Blacks killed in Philly (every 4 months that is) are done by 96 Black KILLER Street Pirates but while 96% of the WHITE FOLKS who are killed are killed by their own BUT only 30 WHITE FOLKS are murdered - IS IT MATERIAL that you have EQUAL PERCENTAGES of INTRA-RACIAL MURDERS? OR is the QUANTITIES the most abhorrent factoid?
You actually JUSTIFY MY FOCUS on "Street Piracy". (go get Purple Cow to help you out man).
ReplyDeleteIF your goal as an Intellectually HONEST person is to MODEL YOUR FOCUS upon that which most THREATENS YOU.......why are you focusing on the 4% of WHITE FOLKS who are KILLING YOU?
What about their BULLETS makes them SUPERIOR to the bullet that a BLACK MAN has used the render the same Death Penalty? Unlike Clarence Thomas' death penalty - that which is rendered by the Street Pirate won't trigger a flurry of posts on various AfroSpear blogs. There will be no discussion about if the Street Pirate has "executed an innocent man". (DAMN - I just gave them all a point of diversion onto Clarence Thomas and away from the painful facts.)
Low & Country - this is not ultimately ALL ABOUT ME and our DEBATE.
There are some serious issues that are compromised as you retain your poker face. I know at least with my friend Filled Negro - he deeply cares about this issue. BUT he hates Sarah Palin more than he hates the 23 street pirates who have already struck on this 40th day of the year in Philly.
Do you find it ironic that the best way for me to "taunt" you all is to BRING YOUR FOCUS BACK "within the Black Community"? THE VERY PLACE that you CLAIM the fruit of your POLITICAL ADVOCACY RESIDES?
WhiteBowieSteve ATTEMPTS to fire back, claiming that in my focus I am showing SELF-HATRED FOR BLACK PEOPLE.
In truth - the fact that MANY OF YOU continue on your journey OUTWARD, instead of MANAGING your PERMANENT FRIENDS that now run the place is BECAUSE - deep down inside you know that you have no GRIP upon our own people by which you can CONTROL us/them into OPERATING WITH REGARD TO OUR OWN INTERESTS.
Instead the "boil the ocean" scheme known as "Social Justice" hopes to get THE SYSTEM to value our people per a NATIONAL BOND that you can't manage to get US to cleave to within our selves.
THUS the PERMANENT CHASE!!!!
(Filled Negro. Did I "rest my case"?)
What is scary is the fact that, in these days and times of political undoing, there is a strong possibility that Sarah Palin, with any resemblance of a presidential candidate, could actually win in 2012.

What about the BLACK COMMUNITY'S "Sake"?

Dunno, not my problem.
C.F. You are the King, ney the Emperor, of the idiotically over-simplistic analysis.
By the way I also ready a column that Half The Blacks In The UK are Unemployed. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/8468308.stm
In which case you need to work on your comprehension skills, because that's not what the article says.
Shouldn't you be focusing on your own God forsaken country?
I do.
Who are the REPUBLICANS in the UK that are suppressing Black people?
I don't see the Republicans here in the UK as suppressing black people. Republicans tend to be quite left wing, I am a Republican myself.
Royalists on the other hand tend to be more Conservative, and yes they have been complicit in suppressing black people for generations.
As I mentioned before, racism is simply class warfare carried out by other means.
Who is the "George W Bush" of the Torries?
If by 'Torries' you mean 'Tories' I would say the equivalent would be someone like John Major.
I found this out there. Funny:

Surely you care about Blacks throughout the diaspora - don't you?
We make a terribke mistake if we under estimate the power of Palin..She is courting the theme of whites only matter in our nation...
ReplyDeleteWhen a nation is in a meltdown even the white liberals will toss Black folks overboard..
Beware of Palin she is not an empty bathing suit....
Surely you care about Blacks throughout the diaspora - don't you?
ReplyDeleteNot particularly, no.
Don't have the time.
I can't worry about everybody and everything.
@thrasher She is courting the theme of whites only matter in our nation...
ReplyDeleteshe is but we don't and the civil rights era is not going to be outdone by SP. STOP giving her so much quarter. this isn't true anyway, as evidenced by the election of BO.

we were in nov 08 and didn't, as evidenced by the election of BO.
i really want to know how many people on this blog are actually active in politics, or just like to whine say woe is me and blame both parties. do you support the candidates you like with $$ or time or both? i do.
i meant to say UNDONE.
ReplyDeleteDamn! I see the Porch Simian (AKA CF) is getting an intercontinental ass whippin' here at Field's today!
ReplyDeleteThis has to be a record even for Porch, because counting here and one other place - he's getting his ass kicked on three continents.
That has got to be a record!

ReplyDeleteIf vouchers would be good , why aren't the Republican run school districts in the suburbs using them.
Where vouchers are used, the parents using them, are the parents that were previously doing everything they could for their children to get a better education. Has it improved the remaining school system and where are those children left behind?
This is a theory just like the unfettered free market, even when is doesn't work, it is not seen as a failure.
Probably will hear the trite argument about the borrowers of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac now.
A school is only as good as the students in it.
ReplyDeleteWhen 2012 arrive it will be up to Black men to decide rather or NOT the want a Racist White Woman as Their President! the ball will be in YOUR COURT rather you want it to be or NOT! but, trust me, I will NOT be depending on any of you Complaining Black men!

IF the long run future is that you will be thrown OVERBOARD.........will there be a "doctor on the raft" that has been TRAINED up in the SCHOOLS that "favored people" now run who will be able to provide quality medical services for all on the raft who need it?
OR did you make the mistake of settling for being a "SATISFIED CONSUMER" of medical care when you had the prior knowledge of this "overboarding event" based upon your previous knowledge of "the snake" and how he acts when threatened?

ReplyDeleteHathor:
That is a dishonest question
You know as well as I do that vouchers are used to exit failing schools. To pay for tuition to a private school or transportation to a better public schools or an internal accounting credit to a charter schools - which is a public school none the less.
Why would a parent send their child away from a good school?
Why not take a different stance on school choice? Make it your job to develop a top performing academic environment and thus RETAIN the students that you have.

thrasher said that not me. i'm a white liberal (tho i don't like the order of that) and i said the nation WAS in a meltdown and we did NOT throw any blacks over-board. in fact, we elected one president (as did everyone else who voted for OB. again, he said his, not me).
i don't think i understand your analogy enough to answer.
You would have argued against the Montgomery bus boycotts and the Greensboro sit-ins because we should not want to make white people embrace a change that they we not yet ready for.
ReplyDeleteFunny you say this. If it were solely up to whites, they would NEVER be "ready" for such changes.
I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to tell your unconstructive coon ass to shut the fuck up and sit down. If people like you had their way, blacks would still be second-class citizens, waiting for the "enlightened" and "wise" white man to generously deem us worthy enough to be genuine citizens of this country.
Now stop making an ass of yourself and go back to doing what you apparently do best, which is.....shining white men's shoes. :D
Hathor "I think someone is trying to hijack this site. Don't fill in the log in prompt, if denied access."

Mack Lyons "I'm sorry, but I'm gonna have to tell your unconstructive coon ass to shut the fuck up and sit down. Did you actually writh this with a smile? You show NO respect to CF while he has done nothing but try to help fellows like you. Obviously you can't be helped.
That's right unconn... Now get your fuckin' shinebox!
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm going to take CF's side for a moment. We as AA have to address the fact that the local Democratic machine has largely failed the Black community. Quite simply, if we netroots FN's are not willing to clean up our local school boards and city councils, we can forget about the teabaggers, because we'd be doing more harm to ourselves.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, throwing progressive changes out simply because we have failed to hold our leaders accountable is irrational and wrong headed. As others pointed out, CF, if not for liberals -- most of us would have never gone to college and the internet would still be a nitch little toy for scientists, stock brokers and rich geeks.
Anyway, Tom Tancredo argued for poll taxes and the reinstating literacy test for voting privileges. But, they're not racist. Wow, these folks are some seriously backwards knuckleheads.
I agree not underestimate Sarah Palin and her gang of semi-intelligent militia nuts in the Tea Party. The Left has always been rather dismissive of the looniest of Wing nuts, as well as downright nasty as well uncooperative with one another. But that's another post.
Another point CF is right on -- the left/moderate end of the political spectrum have had over a year to move forward and the natives are getting restless.
Granted, expectations are somewhat out of whack and most folks have little grasp of realpolitik. As I often say, Obama ain't Jesus and the GOP has done everything but lay their bodies across the train tracks in protest to new legislation.
But this lack of political movement gives the Tea Party goons more power and credence than logic should allow. As pointed out to our right wing lurker friends -- most of our big problems started with the Faux Texan from Connecticut.
And finally, never underestimate what fear, selfishness and stupidity will drive people, particularly white Americans to do. This is the same nation that elected an Alzheimer patient and B-movie actor twice. Bush started two illegal wars (peanuts compared to his father and Ray-Gun) but we impeached Clinton for what again? Americans, in general, react from their ignorance, greed and fears -- rather than reason and compassion.
Given middle America's track record of voting against their own interests just to screw over brown people, don't be surprised if we elect Sarah Barracuda and Todd Palin's successionist party takes over the Congress by 2016.
Trapped in SC
ReplyDelete"It's a shame when a black person lives disavowing his blackness behind the anonymity a computer screen provides him knowing full well that the society that he longs for will never truly accept him as advertised.
The very definition of a house negro."
OH YEAH.
@maria,
ReplyDeleteThe election of O was in part about the rejection of Bush..My premise remains the same white liberals like you will toss us overboard when the economics get crazy..
Palin appeals to all whites even white liberals who as I have posted will be her cheerleaders and 'good germans" if the shit hits the fan.. It is the nature of white racism/privledge at end of the day...
It is foolish for Black folks to ignore the rise of Palin she appeals on a tribal level to white folks and thier core dna of white supremacy..White folks and racism have a long shelf life in our nation..
Contructive
ReplyDeleteLayout why you choose to be a conservative without discussing the democratic party or progressives. Lay out like Trapped in SC did with the Dems. You can't do it because Repubs are against most of what AA stand for.

ReplyDeleteThraser, I agree that when things get tight, the white liberals will throw Blacks overboard.
But why didn't you mention that whether things are tight or very good Blacks throw Blacks overboard?
That backsstabbing goes on all of the time and Blacks rarely talk about it.
What's up with that?

Bush started two illegal wars (peanuts compared to his father and Ray-Gun) but we impeached Clinton for what again?
A-Merry-Cans don't mind the ol' ultraviolence, but they get completely hung up on SEX. Granted the man shouldn't have done such a crass thing as get head in a place such as the Oval Office, but his escapades didn't warrant the full-court press it was getting. The GOP was so desperate to Nixon his ass they didn't see how big of fools they were making themselves to be.
Palin appeals to all whites even white liberals who as I have posted will be her cheerleaders and 'good germans" if the shit hits the fan.. It is the nature of white racism/privledge at end of the day...
And what did being "good germans" get the Germans? A World War that resulted in their army (thankfully) trashed, most of their cities decimated, their people killed, families torn apart...oh, and half of their country ruled by the Soviets until that entity's collapse nearly 50 years later. I hate to see that replayed here, only to have some other foreign power slap the shit out of us and proceed to "stabilize" us for the next half century or more.
Oh, and when that happens, don't blame it on Blacks, please.
"Palin appeals to all whites even white liberals who as I have posted will be her cheerleaders and 'good germans" if the shit hits the fan.. It is the nature of white racism/privledge at end of the day..."
ReplyDeleteThere will be some Blacks cheering for her also. Why conveniently leave out the Blacks? Blacks who WILL get off of their ass and vote are Republicans and Tea Partiers.
The other Blacks are just like their white counterparts: lazy dumbocrats.
I hate to see that replayed here, only to have some other foreign power slap the shit out of us and proceed to "stabilize" us for the next half century or more
ReplyDeleteThere's no country with the capability of doing that.
What drives Some Blacks to have contempt for other Blacks has nothing to do with racism..
ReplyDeleteBlacks who have been impacted and contaminated by white racism do in deed exhibit ugly behaviors yet this reaction is quite different than raw racism coming from the reality of white supremacy..
It is an error to demonize wounded Black folks with the same brush
Has it (charter schools) improved the remaining school system and where are those children left behind?
ReplyDeleteIt has helped those that participate, which was the goal. Why aren't you happy for the kids that are finally getting a chance at a real education?
Do you feel it would be better if there were no charter schools and all kids had to suffer in the failing government school system.
This is a theory just like the unfettered free market, even when is doesn't work, it is not seen as a failure.
"Unfettered- release from restraint or inhibition"
Considering all the rules/regulations imposed on business by the government, calling it "unfettered" is not a very accurate statement.
Probably will hear the trite argument about the borrowers of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac now.
Weren't there more white people taking advantage of no down payment house loans?
anon11:38,
ReplyDeleteI said nothing about charter schools. In this city at least vouchers are not used to pay for them. Charter schools are funded as any other public school, the rules, ,administration and management is different.
Why do you think the FEDs want to write legislation now, because the FED regulations covering the banks behavior were dispose of, during Clinton's administration.
Why do so many blacks see education as a "white" thing, or even a bad thing? Calling Obama a professor is an attack on his race? Black leadership is failing black children at an epic rate.
ReplyDelete"Ogletree, founding and executive director of the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute for Race and Justice, says he sees the “professor” label as a thinly veiled attack on Obama’s race."
