"There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land."~ Deuteronomy 15:11 ~
Since we are so close to Easter I am going to go ahead drop a religious post on you. And no, I am not going to blog about the Pope's issues. I don't want to offend my Catholic friends out there. (Not to mention a certain Catholic wife)
I come to praise religion tonight, not to trash it. Especially now that I see some religious leaders are calling for a boycott of a certain nut job who has managed to make himself relevant in the A-merry-can body politic.
"Last week, the conservative broadcaster Glenn Beck called on Christians to leave their churches if they heard any preaching about social or economic justice because, he claimed, those were slogans affiliated with Nazism and Communism.
This week, the Rev. Jim Wallis, a liberal evangelical leader in Washington, D.C., called on Christians to leave Glenn Beck.
“What he has said attacks the very heart of our Christian faith, and Christians should no longer watch his show,” Mr. Wallis, who heads the antipoverty group Sojourners, wrote on his “God’s Politics” blog. “His show should now be in the same category as Howard Stern.”
Mr. Beck, in vilifying churches that promote “social justice,” managed to insult just about every mainline Protestant, Roman Catholic, African-American, Hispanic and Asian congregation in the country — not to mention plenty of evangelical ones.
Even Mormon scholars in Mr. Beck’s own church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, said in interviews that Mr. Beck seemed ignorant of just how central social justice teaching was to Mormonism. " [Story]
Oh my, what are all those god fearing wingnuts going to do? I think that old song, "torn between two lovers" would be appropriate right about now. Well, better late than never I guess. The thing is, if you let a crazy man loose on the radio and on television every day, at some point he will snap and the craziness will come out. But I worry about all his followers. (Including the ones who are regulars on this blog.) How can you follow a man who asks you to leave your church if it is about social and economic justice? Isn't that what theology is all about? Wasn't the life of a certain man who walked around with long hair and sandals back in the day about the "values of compassion mercy, forgiveness, and reconciliation."? I mean doesn't damn near every religion teach about empathy for your fellow man and compassion for the lessor among us?
So what new kind of religion is this guy teaching? It looks like the religion of every man for himself to me.
“I beg you, look for the words ’social justice’ or ‘economic justice’ on your church Web site. If you find it, run as fast as you can. Social justice and economic justice, they are code words."
"Code words" for what? Oh yeah, the evil bogeyman, Barack Obama's Socialist plot to take over A-merry-ca. What a loon. And the sad thing is that millions of people hang on to this guy's every word.
And before you tell me that Glenn Beck and his ilk aren't dangerous, remember what is happening in Texas right now. Trust me, that is the tip of the iceberg. There will be more of this kind of thing to come. Just remember; it's happened before.
amen fn!

I am absolutely mystified by the folks on this blog who call me names when all I talk about is justice and equality and treating my neighbor as myself and trying to love my fellow human beings.
I have never seen anything like it. They won't even agree to disagree they attack me and others as if we are advocating bombing folks, or torturing folks, or depriving folks of an equal education, or have discriminated against someone, or underpaid someone or fired someone because I didn't like what they looked like, or refused medical treatment to someone because my company simply doesnt want to pay, or ripped off someones life savings through some fraudulent wall street scam etc...
You get the point. I find this particularly disturbing. I get it if you think everyone should fend for themselves and to hell with them if they can't make it or keep up. I understand Social Darwinism.
But why get upset at folks who want to make things better so that folks aren't in the position? And why get mad at folks who try to help folks that are down on their luck or being discriminated against or being harrassed or unfairly get it.
i can tie all up by saying i wish no one listened to beck or religious leaders, esp. those who preach hate and intolerance. i hated that rick warren was at the inaug...

ReplyDeleteFilled Negro:
PUT ME ON RECORD!!!!
I AGREE WITH WHAT GLENN BECK WAS SAYING!!!
To pretend that the word "Social Justice" as it has been HIJACKED to-damned-day is not indicative of a greater, leftist, quasi-socialist agenda is akin to YOU being told by a Redneck with a Confederate Flag that it means HERITAGE NOT HATRED.
It is interesting that you and others are focusing upon Beck's statement that people who see these words used by their church should depart.
The ironic points are TWO:
1) YOU aren't even a CHRISTIAN. It seems to me that fewer people going to a Christian church and being INDOCTRINATED with Christian beliefs represent more candidates for your own religion of "Secular Progressivism". You should be THANKING Glenn Beck if he causes an exodus. Often it is the CHURCH which stands as your key adversary.
2) I would love for you to do an inspection of the word "Social Justice" and make the case that it HAS NOT been molested just as Beck has noted.
A Catholic Priest on ABC News' coverage of Beck this evening said of a Brazilian counterpart:
"If I see a poor man and feed him I cam called a Christian. If I see a poor man and ask HOW DID HE GET POOR I am called a COMMUNIST".
I wish that he would have added one more TRUTH:
* If my inspection on what keeps him impoverished points close to home and renders an indictment against those who feed his consciousness - the poor man will join the people who FEED HIM SOUP 3 times a day in attacking me for seeking to have THEM change their messages that flow into his mind and their assumptions of his competency to uphold greater expectations of him.
Worst of all - Filled Negro - in PHILLY where your long time adversaries have departed the SOCIAL JUSTICE rights merely get shifted from the expectations upon the local government that the poor have installed into office up tot he next rung of government where their enemies reside. NO NET COMPETENCY has been created despite the power grab.
Apparently, according to Mr Wallis, African Americans and other minorities are not apart of "mainline" Protestant and Roman Catholic churches? WTF does that mean?
ReplyDeleteSatan never had a better pawn.
ReplyDeleteReligious folks are just like every other named or unnamed group in America, which is to say that they do not think as a monolithic group.
ReplyDeleteHere where I live, there is a certain far right conservative strain that permeates here that uses the sin of the individual as justification for a rationale for discrimination or unjust treatment towards a group of people. Then it turns around and claim to be working in the best interest of the aforementioned aggrieved party.
These are the same people who listen to the same right-wing talking heads, who understand the race-based, dog whistle coded appeals to stop so-called socialism, liberalism, or any kind of meaningful social progress because they know that the practice of equality, while laudable in theories that benefit conservative ideology and orthodoxy, is destructive to conservatism in reality. Because it exposes so much of the theories and followers of conservatism as at best, fraudulent, and at worst, severely xenophobic and hypocritical.
But it's okay if your church is conservative. Because it's about helping the poor or getting people the rights they need, as long as it is the right "sort" of people. You know, the ones here in "Real America".
Like when a group of evangelical Christians claim to be pro-life then they are pro-death penalty.
Like when pro-lifers stand outside an abortion clinic telling young mother not to abort their unborn children, then after the children are born, being on the side of a movement that believes in smaller government by cutting essential services and programs for people like the woman who was going to the abortion clinic in the first place.
Like when so-called conservatives lay their faith in the free market because while it has great risk, it also has great reward. The problem with this is when the free market fails, as it sometimes does, they want the same government that they claimed is the bane of civilization, that they say has created a culture of dependence and corruption, so swoop in and save them. But when there are actual people in real distress who need help, conservatives use the straw man that someone may not be legal, or someone may be lazy as a rationale for not helping them.
There are the groups of evangelicals that do believe in social justice, that much is true. The African-American churches, Synagogues, and many Catholic and Anglican Archdioceses have been on the forefront of social change on issues near to the hearts of minorities and the working class and forgotten among us.
@Trapped In SC,
ReplyDeleteYou Sir, are dead on.
Field, I have never heard Beck so I have to read about his antics. Sad, but like most power mad goofballs, he'll implode and the rabid right will blame it on something, anything.
Thanks for the links, they're amusing. I just gotta say, Texans are crazy. From the heat you think?
Agreed, Bennett on TiSC"s comment!
ReplyDeleteHey AB you have a good weekend too sis. I still want to figure out a way for us to look at that movie in its totality so you can at least see what my problems with it are (lol) Maybe one of these days over a cup of coffee. Ya never know.
ReplyDeleteAmen brother Trapped in SC I wish I had penned this essay. WOW you laid it out.
"Like when a group of evangelical Christians claim to be pro-life then they are pro-death penalty.

This picture Field posted reminds me of something that happened many years ago when my sister and I were raising our kids and were avid church goers, (I still believe in God but I no longer believe in organized religions).
ReplyDeleteSo the church had it's annual week long campaign to bring in and convert the"lost souls". What this meant is you found a person of interest,(for lack of a better word, but you know what I mean) and convinced them to accompany you to worship, usually this meant picking them up,taking them and bringing them back home. The church had a special service on that day, gift bibles, lunch on the grounds etc.... So there was a town alcoholic, that usually looked more or less like the picture that Field posted. My sister decided that he would be perfect for redeeming and changing, and I didn't think it was such a hot idea but was too busy so I let her do the "lost soul" picking. She finally convinced the man and we went to pick him up, now mind you this is a small town church where everybody knows everybody...
WELL, I'll never forget the look on the congregations face when in we walked with the town alcoholic! If we had been lepers we prolly would have gotten a warmer reception! We were shocked to say the least!Suffice it to say that... well you can imagine! So much for the social justice that I've seen at the majority of churches, which is why I no longer attend.
Beck's getting crazier & crazier. He criticized Springsteen's "Born In the USA," a song protesting the treatment & condition of vets. Which as we know always needs protesting. Just go to your local soup kitchen ( probably sponsored by a church) church) & ask the vets to raise their hands.
ReplyDeleteSocial Justice has been an integral part of the religion for the longest time and Constructive Feedback I do not know where you have been, but religious organizations were a significant part of the civil rights movement. I do recall Martin Luther King, Jr., pastor of a church talking about social justice in many of speeches. And I also recall communism is not a friend of religion organizations. I do not have a problem with religion if it gets an individual to aspire him or her to be a better person, and helping the poor is a good thing. My grandmother always had a phase that you are saved by what you believe which always perplexed me because I had nary a clue as to what it meant. However, I think she meant in the highest sense is that strive to be a better person than before, that you gain wisdom over time to help you better understand and come to terms with this thing we call life. I do not think the point of religion is perfection, but improving, being more tolerant, wiser, and acceptance. This is the goal of all religions. To correct a wrong where people are being mistreated.
ReplyDeleteI think thelogians like Reinhold Niebuhr and Shelby Spong were closer to what religion can do in terms of becoming better people and practicing social justice even if it means standing up to the very institutions you are part of. Niehbuhr criticized christians for mistreating jewish people, Spong defended a bishop clergyman who was charged with heresy in the Episopal Church. I remember that case because it occurred in New Jersey. The case involved Retired Bishop Walter Righter was charged by 10 bishops with knowingly or daining a noncelibate homosexual, Barry Stopfel, as a deacon in 1990. Stopfel was an Episcopal at the time in Maplewood, NJ where he shartes the rectory with is lover of 10 years. A controversial trial, but Spong was willing stand for something even when it isn't popular.
I do not fathom why anyone has a problem with social justice unless he or she is an misanthrope. Perhaps you do have an attitude of humanity be damned and the irony is you a part of humanity. Unless you are exempt from humanity.
Social justice is not actually at the heart of Christianity. if it was, predominately Christian countries would have allot more of it. ironically, it's countries with very high rates of atheism-Sweden, Denmark, Norway, and the like-where the poor have a much better standard of living.
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 12:02am
ReplyDeleteI have heard with my own ears,a pastor say during his sermon, that although "people question why God allows poverty and hunger, the church cannot and should not be concerned with social justice, the churches only and exclusive concern is worshipping God"!
(LOL! of course we musn't forget tithing 10%) .
On that ocasion I really had to hold my tongue, but I did walk out.
I dunno, maybe it's just the churches here
Trapped in SC summed it up perfectly.
ReplyDeleteCF:
ReplyDeleteLet me ask you a few questions.
What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself? Is it worth it to have the whole world if you lose your soul? What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul? Is anything worth more than your soul? And what would you trade your soul for? Do you think that you can you pay enough to buy back your soul?
BTW CF:
ReplyDeletePlease spare me the essays and briefly answer those questions I asked you. In addition, please do not try to sidetrack and evade those questions by changing the subject of what I asked you. If you cannot do that, I'd rather you not answer my questions. Nevertheless, stick to what I am asking you please.
Sure... Christianity is a religion of social justice, and Islam is a religion of piece. lol
ReplyDeleteMELLANEOUS, when are you going to see the Full PICTURE! you write in the Natural, their is Light and there is Darkness! and most BLACK people on this Blog walk in Darkness! most of these Black people are just as bad as GLENN BECK!
ReplyDeleteGlenn Beck has to come after JESUS, he has been fighting against the thing's Jesus stand's for! this man is Consumed with Darkness and so is his follower's, to agree with Glenn Beck mean's you have turned your SOUL over to SATAN! it is impossible for Glenn Beck to say and do the thing's he doe's and still have a SOUL! GLENN BECK and the rest, have been under GOD'S GRACE and MERCY! these people have been trying to DEPRIVE GOD'S PEOPLE of HELP! think GOD don't see what's going on? think GOD don't have an appointed time for them to be JUDGED? the WRATH of GOD is going to FALL on each and every person that has been coming against the HEALTH CARE BILL! and that go's for some of the BLACK FOLK on this comment form! it is NO WAY in this world, a BLACK PERSON is suppose to be fighting against HELP for the POOR and NEEDY!!! our people should know what it mean's to be without! but, some of our people have lost their way!
Glenn Beck has been Challenging (Good) for a long time, he did the same thing at CNN, but, when he came to FOX NEW'S, he was given the FREEDOM to Enlarge his Territory! in other word's, he was given the FREEDOM, to pull in as many people that had the same mindset as he doe's! why do you think his rating's are so high?
FOX NEW'S has it's own World, they call it the FOX NATION! these are CODE WORD'S for many many thing's! this NETWORK is a FACADE! it is NOT NATURAL for (so called Christian's) who say they are Christian's, but, yet, behave as WITCH'S, and WARLOCK'S! WIZARD'S! but, after all, the WHITE'S that came from England came from a city called (COVENTRY)!!!
MELLANEOUS, I would suggest, you go back and look at the face's of the WHITE people that were at the MCCAIN/PALIN CAMPAIGN'S! or did you watch the two Campaign's? cause I did! two different set's of WHITE people! did you notice how LIBERATED, the WHITE'S that SUPPORTED OBAMA seem to be! but, notice how VICIOUS and UNHINGED the MCCAIN/PALIN supporter's were! these are the FOX NEW'S SUPPORTER'S! these (SECT'S) (CULT'S) are NOT CHRISTIAN'S!!!!! you will know a true Christian by the FRUIT they Bear!
For we WRESTLE not against FLESH and BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MELLANEOUS, are you sure you are paying attention as you should?
ISEEISEE
Damn, Granny.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry.....darn.
I don't know whether that's Matthew or Mark, but that's biblical.
Don't worry about CF. He's the exception that proves the rule. He's the converted black wingnut that proves that white racism is real. He's probably in a wooden shed somewhere in Georgia reading "The Turner Diaries" preparing his next Manifesto, like the Unabomber.
Trapped in SC:
ReplyDeleteIt is both of them.
I see I see I feel you and yes I have been paying attention, its why I have been praying more than I ever have. You have no idea how serious I have taken my committment to God!
ReplyDeleteIsee Isee you laid it out differently than I do but we have come to some of the same conclusions.PREACH Especially this line:
"these people have been trying to DEPRIVE GOD'S PEOPLE of HELP!"
And I can't argue with the rest of what you said either. I don't know how else to explain Glen Beck except as I put it earlier he is out to make as much money as he can and to become as popular as he can while misleading as many people as he can. Yes this does indeed sound like the work of a devil! PREACH
"Glenn Beck has to come after JESUS, he has been fighting against the thing's Jesus stand's for! this man is Consumed with Darkness and so is his follower's, to agree with Glenn Beck mean's you have turned your SOUL over to SATAN! it is impossible for Glenn Beck to say and do the thing's he doe's and still have a SOUL!"
Wow you nailed some of these heartless black folks running around here. I really like this line as well: "it is NO WAY in this world, a BLACK PERSON is suppose to be fighting against HELP for the POOR and NEEDY!!! our people should know what it mean's to be without! but, some of our people have lost their way!"
LET THE CHURCH SAY AMEN!!
Hey Granny its good to have you back. Field has been opening up a lot of can of worms and has exposed some folks for who they are without saying more than his post.
ReplyDeleteMatthew 16:28 and Mark 8:36 ask what does it profit a person to gain the whole world and lose their soul my paraphrase, we know enough these days to be inclusive. Most folks in church don't realize that the people of God are not stuck in old patriachal ruts and that we can't pour old wine into new wineskins. God in 2010 is stil revealing God, God's nature, for those who have ears to hear..
Thank you mellaneous. My blog was highjacked, I am still trying to work on straightening that back out, and my computer has been acting up again. We had another death in our family a few days ago. In addition, the weather is too cold right now for me to try and sit long hours at the computer without my bones feeling the pain. I'll be glad when the warmer weather comes.
ReplyDeleteGlen Beck is a undercover white supremacist!
ReplyDeleteI forgot to add who is pulling the cover off of himself for the whole world to see. Thank you Jesus!
ReplyDeleteYup, the blind leading the blind! Well, people should know where Glen and his followers are headed. All will fall into a ditch soon and sooner than we think. Won't be long before he puts his foot in his mouth. Oops, well he already has hasn't he
Granny sorry to hear about your loss and your computer problems. Do what you can. I don't have to tell you that God is able.
ReplyDeleteHi Granny, this is (ISEEISEE0 I was posting while you were posting, so I had no Idea you was posting as well, so in other word's! YOU BETTER PREACH! the key word is (SOUL)
ReplyDeleteGLENN BECK lost his SOUL a long time ago, but, he is not alone, this CRAZY MAN has gone too far, this man is coming against the WORD of GOD!
God feed the Children of Israel with Quail and Wafer, when they came out of Israel, in other word's, he didn't want them to STARVE to DEATH! so what doe's that tell us? well, God, want's his people taken care of, God expect for Man to look after the Earthly Realm! but, NO! some WHITE men and Black men want God's people to go Hungry, be without Housing and be without HEALTH CARE! in other word's, these men are telling God, we don't want your people to have Nothing!
I don't know why God won't SLAY some of these Wicked people? and he should start with BECK and his (SECT) people in this country are in need, and yet, we have White men saying NO to whatever the President try's to do to help the Poor and Needy!
Confused Feedback need's some of his STUFF taken away, he need's a Whipping from God! he need's to be BROKEN DOWN to the last denominator! cause something is Not right! No Black man in his right mind, should agree with anything these SICK WHITE MEN are saying, cause trust me, these SICK WHITE MEN are leading Black men to HELL with them!
Glenn Beck should be left on his own, he has managed to Tap into a place where he should not be, he is Operating from a Realm that is very very Dangerous, he has crossed over into a place of no return, and trust me, he will get worse!
Glenn Beck's past behavior was leading up to this, he is paying a Debt! and he will continue to pay it until he go's STARK RAVING MAD on FOX NEW'S! he is going from one extreme to the next!
I will not be shocked, if BECK tore the BIBLE up on his show or Cussed God out!
Beck started with the President, the leader of this country, so now he is going higher, he is going after God!

From a several of your previous swipes at Christianity I would think that you and Glen Beck would be together on this. No?
Hey IseeIsee, it's good to see your fonts. Amen! Remember what happened to Nebuchadnezzar? God let him lose his mind, act like a beast in the field, and eat grass. Satan went after God too and look what happened to him. People can keep on thinking God is a myth if they want to. If they took the time to read what the prophet of old said back during biblical days, they'd see that everything happening today is what was prophesized back then and it coming to past in our day and time. They foretold that there would come a day when some would rather believe a lie than the truth, call evil good and good evil, people would mock God, and that there would be scorner against the word of God.
ReplyDeletePeople thought Samson became blind when the Philistines put his eyes out. But he was blind before that. because he was blind to the ways of God. He lack foresight and he had to be incarcerated so God could give him some insight.
Well, Field mocks God all the time. Is that being blind?

So there you have a doctrinally conservative Catholic warning about people like Glenn Beck.
Everyone that talks that hateful shit likes to sit on the throne of 'pull yourself up by bootstrap' ideology. But when their asses come up broke...well they are the first to get public services and SUE if they feel they've been victimized.
ReplyDeleteI am so saddened that he is filled with such hate. We all know that his rantings are simply using coded racist language; there is no other explanation for his rhetoric. It is divisive and really strains people of color who are Constitutionalists and others who even have no party affiliation from listening to him.
Rush is the same way. And so many people listen to both of them like they are part of a cult. If Beck or Limbaugh says to do something, they jump immediately. Sad. Really sad.

My family roots are in South Carolina. Thus I am very familiar with the place.
I will walk a fine line with you on this series of questions.
I realize that you have some predisposition to attack CONSERVATIVES and RELIGION. For you the windmill that you chase is the WHITE CONSERVATIVE RELIGIOUS EVANGELIST that is under every rock.
LETS PUT ANOTHER OPERATIVE ON TRIAL that you dare not touch:
The BLACK, PROGRESSIVE-FUNDAMENTALIST CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY in South Carolina and beyond.
Low & Country - RELIGION is strong among Black Progressives in the South. Surely THEY ARE NOT REPUBLICANS!!!!!
I would like you to specifically spend some time on THIS GROUP and appraise THEM as you do their WHITE CONSERVATIVE partners.
You see, Low & Country as I look at the Black populations in South Carolina I see:
* Unwed Pregnancy and Single Mother Headed Households
* I see high drop out rates from high school
* I see obesity
I know that you believe that when RACHAEL MADDOW and other Snarling Fox White Liberal BIGOTS highlighting SOUTH CAROLINA and its ailments - AS LONG AS THEY BLAME THE REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP you are dutifully pacified as such.
The problem is, Low & Country - when you do a ZIPCODE LEVEL appraisal you see that Black folks in the Bronx - which is ensnared in PROGRESSIVISM have a life that is little different in regards to these ailments.
I AM ON TO YOU MoFo!!!!!
You are one of those Sold Out Negroes who content themselves with the fate of the Negro in your midst because YOU KNOW WHO DID THIS TO US.
The truth is that the swarm of OUTSOURCED CONSCIOUSNESS has been the most destructive force upon the people who ARE NOT CONSERVATIVE and not REPUBLICAN yet share your skin color AND YOUR FLAWED ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL THEORIES.
You prefer that they SUPPORT WHAT YOU SUPPORT more than you concern yourself with their SALVATION on this Earth and beyond.
Like when pro-lifers stand outside an abortion clinic telling young mother not to abort their unborn children, then after the children are born, being on the side of a movement that believes in smaller government by cutting essential services and programs for people like the woman who was going to the abortion clinic in the first place.
ReplyDeleteMellaneous - YOU ARE A CONTEMPTIBLE FELLOW!!!. It must have been YOUR brand of "Jesus" that was looking out for you last night. I typed a series of questions to you but it did not post properly. I asked you how you are able to read Filled Negro's opening message and choose to go after CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIANS while saying NOTHING to Filled Negro - who DOESN'T BELIEVE IN "YOUR JESUS" and thinks you are a FOOL for believing that he is your savior.
It would be grand if you answer that one, Reverend Mellaneous
Here is the FRAUD in your statement.
Just as Glenn Beck is saying YOU take the notion of CHRISTIAN protection of their brothers and translate it into your STATIST goals.
IF there was NO GOVERNMENT - does this change the calling for the Christian? IF THE GOVERNMENT becomes 100% socialist with all of your cares taken care of by the GOVERNMENT - does this change your Christian mandate?
YOU are in fact doing exactly what Glen Beck is talking about. Your own BIGOTRY AND HATRED has you blinded.
WHY - Mellaneous don't you talk about the CONTEXT BY WHICH this child was consummated? IF evidence shows that married couples ARE MORE INCLINED TO CARRY THEIR GESTATING CHILD TO TERM - rather than using the "vacuum detachment treatment" to separate it from its NUTRITION SOURCE - does this rile up your CHRISTIAN TENANTS to bring them CONSCIOUSNESS about the relationships that they engage in?
OR do you ONLY know how to execute your MORAL OUTRAGE against GOVERNMENTS and CONSERVATIVES?
It comes as no surprise to me that your brand of CHRISTIAN theory needs to have a CONSERVATIVE demon and a GOVERNMENT that you struggle against as the catalyst of your movement.
MOVE TO AN ISLAND WITH NOTHING MORE THAN FELLOW TRAVELERS and you all will DIE A CERTAIN DEATH for you have failed to teach ORGANIC FARMING.
Social Justice has been an integral part of the religion for the longest time and Constructive Feedback I do not know where you have been, but religious organizations were a significant part of the civil rights movement.
ReplyDeleteHenna's Place:
The LABEL "social justice" has its roots in the American Progressive movement.
THE SPIRIT OF "a just society" indeed goes back to the beginning of man.
What you seemingly can't grasp is that this term has also been HIJACKED. (Look toward Mellaneous as a perfect reference model for this.)
I am a self-professed Christian who am able to rationalize that the Christian tenant to "take care of the poor among you" DOES NOT TRUMP the notion that GOD CREATED US ALL IN HIS FORM.
Thus a CHRISTIAN who is PERVERTED enough to see a Christian man in his SOUP LINE yet for 3 years HE NEVER taps into that EQUAL HUMAN BEING'S POWER, advising him that some of the behaviors that have caused him to be disconnected from his family (ie: drinking) IS NOT PRACTICING "Christianity".
The one running the "Soup Line" will go to HIS version of Jesus and ask to be patted on the head for FEEDING ALL OF THE "LEAST OF THESE".
MY version of Jesus will ask this faux-Christian: "What have you done over the years to have the beings that I have made in MY FORM to walk erect and in my path?".
Do you see Henna's Place?
Indeed you FEED the needy.
When a longitudinal study shows that THE SYSTEM THAT YOU MAINTAIN is the system that bears down upon these masses - never allowing them to be key participants in support of the STANDARD OF LIVING that they desire then THIS IS not only a PERVERSION OF CHRISTIANITY - it is a PERVERSION OF HUMANITY!!!!
Some people have no problem INFERIORIZING the EQUAL HUMAN BEING and his capabilities for their OWN goal of being the OWNER OF THE SOUP LADLE.
I am of the opinion that my Christian Brother Mellaneous is one of those type of Christians.
(Filled Negro - are YOU a "Christian Brother" of Granny and Mellaneous? Have THEY ever talked to you about your long term spirit?
OR ARE THEY CONTENT THAT YOU AGREE WITH THEM ON EARTH, regardless of your belief in their savior?)
What kind of deal is it to get everything you want but lose yourself?
ReplyDeleteGranny - You know I love you. (I even asked the board - if they had seen you - without anyone prompting me. There is NOTHING that you can do to make me stop loving you. Van Jones stole my line the other night. )
Let's inspect that notion of LOSING MY SOUL/MYSELF.
Isn't this a more appropriate analysis of YOU, Filled Negro and others as it relates to your POLITICS?
There has been no greater time in America where the American Negro has CONTROL OVER HIS OWN BODY AND INTELLECT. Where "favorable people" (Progressives) control his communities.
Despite this fact, Granny - people like YOU, Mellaneous, Filled Negro and others STILL have not enabled this collective group of people (and other working class) to leverage their EQUAL HUMANITY to craft the LOCAL ECO-SYSTEM that provides the standard of living that you see..
INSTEAD you are still on a "Dragon Slaying" exercise - going after the BEAST despite it having retreated from your midst - ALLOWING YOU TO FORM WHAT EVER coalition that you desire.
WHO HAS "LOST THEIR DAMNED SOUL" Granny?
WHO has SOLD OUT from their original calling GRANNY?
Who has proven that they IN FACT have WON but in their VICTORIES they have exposed that which they were STRUGGLING FOR all along? The "Progressive Establishment" is STRONGER THAN EVER. Our EQUAL HUMAN BEINGS back at home have never had their existence more threatened.
Is it worth it to have the whole world if you lose your soul? What do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?
Granny - Did you read my last post to Mellaneous?
You speak in terms of "SOUL" and I assume that you are speaking in the Christian context. Do you find it strange that your EARTHLY AGREEMENT with Filled Negro - a person who said that HE IS NOT A CHRISTIAN has caused you to not seek Christian Salvation for him with respect to ETERNITY?
You and Mellaneous feel more comfortable calling out RIGHT WING "Christian Hypocrites" than you are seeking salvation for LEFT-WING Secular Progressive NON-BELIEVERS.
When you deal with this ETERNAL Conundrum in your way's - COME BACK AND HOLLA at a Brother.
Is anything worth more than your soul? And what would you trade your soul for? Do you think that you can you pay enough to buy back your soul?
HEY FILLED NEGRO and Low & Country:
Granny asks you:
Is anything worth more than your soul?
What are you willing to trade your soul for?
Do you think that you can pay enough to buy your soul back?
I might add - A society that has all of its SOCIAL JUSTICE ENTITLEMENTS fulfilled by the Secular Progressive Government that it has built up - WHERE DOES ITS SOUL RESIDE? They indeed have "Heaven On Earth" - NO?
(Does anyone else see that certain people are able to use CHRISTIANITY AS A WEAPON against their "Christian Enemies" while staying SILENT about the DEVIL that marches along side of them?)
I love you Granny. I will never disrespect you as I do with the younger guy's who I get into fist fights with but I dont' confuse respect for AGREEMENT - especially when you have it wrong.
GLENN BECK lost his SOUL a long time ago, but, he is not alone, this CRAZY MAN has gone too far, this man is coming against the WORD of GOD!
ReplyDeleteIseeIsee -
I realize that those of your harshest critics on this board who OTHERWISE attack you for your judgmentalism will not ask YOU to substantiate your claims that "Beck Has Lost His Soul".
They, like you, use the elements of their faith as a WEAPON against their enemies and a protection racket for their friends. This regardless of how CONTEMPTIBLE both friend and enemies might be.
Can you tell me WHAT WORD OF GOD that Glen Beck has spoken against when he warned people to look INTO the word "Social Justice" and how their church is implementing it?
Worst of all IseeIsee - can we agree that this struggle against the GOVERNMENT resides in the "American Political Domain" - and that some Christian Churches have become little more than Philistines - practicing RELIGIOUS RITUALS but are in truth POLITICAL organizations.
Here is the kicker - IseeIsee: Right around the immediate communities where these church edifices reside there is often NO PROOF that these churches have any impact in the "Social Justice" realm NOW THAT THE LOCAL ELECTED LEADERS that they favor, many of whom came to the church to garner their votes ARE IN POWER.
CF, in your opinion, if it is not the role of the government to lift people up, and it is not the role of the church to lift people up, then is this just the sole responsibility of the individual to lift him or herself up?
ReplyDeletedo you really believe that no other assistance is necessary?
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy Uncle Beck at it again! Funny thing is that if the guy knew the Bible, he would know it says that two of things Sodom and Gomorrah were judged for were arrogance and the disregard for the poor. It's in Isiah and so it showed a picture of what God really looked for before Jesus came along to say the same thing.
ReplyDeleteI know not everyone here believes in the Bible which is fine by me because every person has their journey and the book itself even has a few people who weren't Jewish or Christian but still did more good than some of the Jews or Christian did themselves, but it does show this guys way of thinking. He came out of battling substance abuse and a crazy mom, made millions of dollars, but will tell people to not help others eventhough he had help to get to where he is now. This just goes to show that if you listen to this guy, he'll pull this country down faster than the poor or minorities ever will.
If you really believe this about religion, then why are you an atheist and why don't you belong to a church?
ReplyDeleteFrom a several of your previous swipes at Christianity I would think that you and Glen Beck would be together on this. No?"
Will someone please explain to anon. the difference between an atheist and someone who is agnostic? I would really appreciate that. I would tell you to explain it to the [un]constructive one as well, but it wouldn't do any good. He only listens to republicans.
"Well, Field mocks God all the time. Is that being blind?"
It would be hard to mock someone or something that I do not know exists. Still, I am pretty sure that I mock certain people who preach to me in the name of god.
Granny, sorry to hear about your loss. I am glad to see you back. I hope those software issues work out for you as well.
Damn Trapped In Sc, you are on fire. PREACH! You too Mel.
cactusrose, thanks for that anecdote. All I can say is wow.
"Indeed you FEED the needy.

What if the "needy" cannot feed him or herself due to sickness or some other form of infirmity? Oh, that's right, they should have put enough $ away in their 401-K's to be able to afford a private nurse.
Give ma a break! It's the same old BS talking points.
if it is not the role of the government to lift people up, and it is not the role of the church to lift people up, then is this just the sole responsibility of the individual to lift him or herself up?
ReplyDeleteMaria:
After reading the entirety of my views HOW DO YOU COME UP WITH THESE QUESTIONS?
* YES - The CHURCH has a vested interest in putting for the MESSAGES by which people are guided to use their HUMAN/ECONOMIC/ACADEMIC Resources for the interests of their community
* Ditto - this upon the ASSEMBLAGE OF PEOPLE in the COMMUNITY
Let's inspect the GOVERNMENT.
I DO NOT have a EXPANSIONARY/CONFISCATORY PROGRESSIVE outlook no government services.
There is far more productive capacity lost by EQUAL HUMAN BEINGS by operatives who make use of the channel of GOVERNMENT to OUTSOURCE key functions that are best ORGANICALLY delivered by a strong community who's COMPETENCY IS STRENGTHENED.
Maria - despite the attempt to make people who OPPOSE "Multiple Taxpayer Paid Health Care" into fire breathing bigoted dragons - the truth is that they don't want THEIR POCKETS PICKED by expansionary government at the national level.
I challenge YOU to circle back around and look at the LOCAL POWER GRAB that the Progressive-Fundamentalists have taken for so many decades and why DESPITE THIS POWER and control over the SCHOOLS that should be educating our next generation of SERVICE PROFESSIONALS; the local economic policies which translate HUMAN RESOURCES into productive wealth.
I AM NOT OPPOSED TO GOVERNMENT.
My LOCAL GOVERNMENT where I live does an excellent job at delivering for me and my family the services that we desire.
OUR POLICIES are different from the neighboring PROGRESSIVE county who have chosen a different course with regard to their zoning laws, education policies, etc.
Maria - the last domain of the scoundrel is to continue to make use of the claim of DISCRIMINATION as a means of avoiding INTROSPECTION.
ARE THEIR POLICIES merely POPULAR or are they EFFECTIVE???
Which of the two are you interested in?
that two of things Sodom and Gomorrah were judged for were arrogance and the disregard for the poor
ReplyDeleteEddie when YOU take that same BIBLE and use to against those who's INTENTIONS are to "help" the poor yet they end up KEEPING THEM POOR by insuring that they are INCOMPETENT - that THEY TOO ARE DEVILS - then YOU COME BACK AND TALK TO ME!!!
The worst scoundrel in my book are those who see the POOR as INFERIOR and that they be in place as MIDDLE MEN - working on behalf of the poor but not doing a GOD FORSAKEN THING to make them UNPOOR.
Eddie I asked out loud before "HOW DO YOU MAKE PEOPLE THE UN-LEAST OF THESE"?
The church became SILENT enough to hear a mouse scurrying about.
He only listens to republicans.
ReplyDeleteIndeed Filled Negro.
I LISTEN to Republicans but I WATCH people like YOU.
There are few Republicans walking through the Black community for me to LISTEN TO.
What if the "needy" cannot feed him or herself due to sickness or some other form of infirmity?
ANSWER:
Get the UNEMPLOYED who still are CHRISTIANS to use their free time in which they are not EXPLOITED by the Capitalistic System, working for MONEY. Have them to use this time to SERVE THOSE WITH NO ARMS to feed themselves.
INSTEAD, Filled Negro - I suspect that you have special VooDoo power from the "Opia Man" in which you can mentally convince a man with TWO PERFECTLY FUNCTIONING arms that THEY ARE NON-FUNCTIONING.
The consciousness that you spew upon him via mental indoctrination begins to take a PHYSICAL FORM as his arm muscles begin to atrophy from NON-USE.
Again Filled Negro - the WORST possible predicament for you to ever be in is to have the people your care about come face to face with the ideology that you express. With this as the key force by which their standard of living is produced - YOU are screwed because they are going to come after you.
"What if the "needy" cannot feed him or herself due to sickness or some other form of infirmity?
ReplyDeleteANSWER:
Get the UNEMPLOYED who still are CHRISTIANS to use their free time in which they are not EXPLOITED by the Capitalistic System, working for MONEY. Have them to use this time to SERVE THOSE WITH NO ARMS to feed themselves."
That preposterous answer to my question, pretty much sums up why folks who think like the unconstructive one should not be elected to be even a dog catcher in any community.
CF
ReplyDeleteIt is a moral responsibility to care for people who are not able. You are using God and the bible as an excuse not to do so because you are self and an misanthrope. You lack empathy and cannot see that you may be a step away from being one of those people. You fear being one of them, and you hate them. It is interesting that see yourself in God's image (I did not know God has a physical image), but the poor are the untouchables and not deserving of human decency and kindness.
This means CF that you do not believe in compassion, kindness, wisdom, or forgiveness. You do not have a sense of justice because you do not believe in human kind. You walk with your fist clinched unwilling to let anything go, and this means not receiving anything either. You are one bitter dude.
[qoute]
ReplyDeleteThat preposterous answer to my question, pretty much sums up why folks who think like the unconstructive one should not be elected to be even a dog catcher in any community.
Filled Negro:
It is better that I REJECT the position of even DOG CATCHER.
By allow YOU to fully populate all of the INSTITUTIONAL SEATS that govern the community - this provides SEPARATION as to WHO NEEDS TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE for the results.
If you were intellectually honest you'd focus upon WHY, despite having PURGED "contemptible Negroes" like me from your midst- your SOCIAL JUSTICE utopia has not been achieved.
Do you find it perverted, Filled Negro, that despite living in a day in which you have full control over YOUR OWN BODY, no longer a SLAVE who is forced into servitude that YOUR are not able to formulate an agreement among these FREE PEOPLE to leverage their OWN BODIES and SHARED COMMITMENT to "Social Justice" as a means of building up the STANDARD OF LIVING that you seek?
INSTEAD you make the case that you need to SLAY THE BEAST before these FREE PEOPLE will be able to actually benefit from their own freedom.
Sadly - IF YOU DO SLAY THIS CAPITALISTIC BEAST you will abort yourself, having destroyed the flow of nutrients that you receive from your umbilical connection that you have to its stomach walls.
Actually, you have it backward. The more power the church/religion have, the less social justice you get. Religion practically runs the whole Middle East, look how that's worked out. When the church controlled Europe you saw widespread inqusitions, lack of women's rights, persecution of the scientific community. That kind of crap continues today.
ReplyDelete
It is a moral responsibility to care for people who are not able. You are using God and the bible as an excuse not to do so because you are self and an misanthrope.
ReplyDeleteHenna's Place - please take the notion of 'MORALITY' and STUFF IT.
I reject when RIGHT-WINGERS make use of "Morality". I will remain consistent and reject when a leftist does it just the same.
MORALITY produces SUBJECTIVE JUDGMENT.
You will focus on the points that YOU see as "immoral" and will be strangely silent on "moral issues" where such activism would mandate that you compromise your own preferences.
Instead of MORALITY I choose a focus upon FUNCTIONAL OUTCOMES.
You just said "PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ABLE".
Do you see how grossly FRUSTRATING to me such progressive-fundamentalist views of "The Least Of These" are?
Despite them being EQUAL HUMAN BEINGS - you see them as INFERIORS.
They are not "UNABLE", Henna's Place. Instead they are DAMAGED from people like you who have filled their heads with messages of their ineptness.
Those who try to ABSTRACT the repetitive actions of these people from the OUTCOMES that they predictably achieve should be PUT ON TRIAL for "judgment" along with those who now suffer as a result of these actions.
Henna's Place - my founding belief is that EVERY ONE IS AN EQUAL HUMAN BEING.
Upon hearing this most of you will look at the DEMAND SIDE of the equation and insure that the GOVERNMENT and SOCIETY proves their EQUALITY to this individual.
I demand that you look at the other side of the equation. Look at what an EQUAL HUMAN BEING must bear as he SHOWS TO SOCIETY that indeed his is EQUAL. This done in support of his quest for a HIGHER STANDARD OF LIVING.
I get the strange feeling that you fear that by impressing this responsibility upon the individual that he might fall flat on his face.
"INSTEAD you make the case that you need to SLAY THE BEAST before these FREE PEOPLE will be able to actually benefit from their own freedom.
ReplyDeleteSadly - IF YOU DO SLAY THIS CAPITALISTIC BEAST you will abort yourself, having destroyed the flow of nutrients that you receive from your umbilical connection that you have to its stomach walls."
Wrong! I do not want to "SLAY THE BEAST" I just want it to stop eating the people who don't continue to feed it.
I have no "umbilical connection" to the beast. My spirit sustains me. Unlike you (who profits from corporate greed) I am but a humble public servant who occasionally fights the beast on hehalf of others. :)
"I reject when RIGHT-WINGERS make use of "Morality". "
ReplyDeleteDo you? I don't think so. And I bet the folks who have read your comments over the years don't either.
Anon 10:37 am, that was an interesting comment. Now you are making me think.
o you think that you can you pay enough to buy back your soul?
ReplyDeleteyou stupid cunt, ask fn that question, he's the atheist you adore so much...perhaps you should worry about his soul
Thanks, Field! Once you think about it long enough, it makes perfect sense.
ReplyDeleteLook at Africa today: Rampant overpopulation and HIV have spread over the continent. Providing access to family planning and birth control would seem like a no brainer-and it is, to everyone except the Christian groups. They are dead set against anything to do with birth control and planning. Never mind the fact that millions of lives are hanging in the balance!
Anon 10:58am,I don't think Christians should call people those types of names. You are giving those who love god a bad name.
ReplyDeleteAnon 10:37am, once again, touche!
To answer your question Constructive, you love your neighbor as much yourself and you realize that you're never far away from having everything you've worked for go up in smoke through your own mistakes or something you have no control over. So I guess to make it short, a person has to learn humility.
ReplyDeleteAnon 10:58am,I don't think Christians should call people those types of names. You are giving those who love god a bad name.
ReplyDeleteYou assume I am a Christian, that is your first mistake.
To Anon 10:37, that's not religion: that's blind allegiance to people and ignorance really. Christianity isn't supposed to be a political or economic system. You see it where Jesus kicked over a table in the temple, told citizens to uphold their obligation to the government, and was killed because He wouldn't be the king of the Jews like they wanted. When people try to make it into a complete widespread system to really just gain power, they pretty much break it apart and neglect practical solutions to problems.
ReplyDeleteDamn Constructive Wingnut, you Uberhackery knows no end.
ReplyDelete"Indeed Filled Negro.
I LISTEN to Republicans but I WATCH people like YOU."
That's all I need to hear from you.
I don't feel much of a need to rebut the 5 or 6 manifestos that you post daily on this blog. You don't know that you don't know, so there's no use trying to educate you.
You just a black version of the guy who goes to tea party functions wearing a hat made out of teabags.
you stupid cunt, ask fn that question, he's the atheist you adore so much...perhaps you should worry about his soul
ReplyDeleteAnon - and I don't know which Anon you are. LAY OFF GRANNY in that way.
You need not call her or any woman such a name.
CF-"Mellaneous - YOU ARE A CONTEMPTIBLE FELLOW!!!.
ReplyDeleteIt would be grand if you answer that one, Reverend Mellaneous"
It's not JUST Mell, it's granny, TSC, ab, etc...Basically, it's the majority of them who are either too afraid or just people who follow the herd blindly.
To answer your question Constructive, you love your neighbor as much yourself and you realize that you're never far away from having everything you've worked for go up in smoke through your own mistakes or something you have no control over. ReplyDeleteEddie:
What happens when your endless universe - doubles back upon itself?
You see your words above?
I have been challenging UptownSteve, Filled Negro and several other leftists to CONSIDER THE STANDARDS BY WHICH THEY MANAGE THEIR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS AGAINST and then hold the "LEAST OF THESE" to the same damned standards!!!
I have no doubt that UptownSteve, Filled Negro and several others are good fathers. I'd even bet that the policies by which they (and their wives) govern their household with differ much than what goes on in my house.
This all crashes and burns once we start TALKING ABOUT OUR "BROTHERS" outside of our own house.
In the two sided equation of EQUALITY - Eddie both of these two men have demonstrated a disturbing track record of INFERIORIZING THEIR BROTHERS. They fundamentally DOUBT that those who are labeled as "The Least Of These" are able to take on the mantle of responsibility that both of these men hold THEIR OWN CHILDREN TO in the areas of:
* Behavior
* Education
* Honor/Integrity
* Self-Discipline
Eddie: IF YOU LOVED YOUR BROTHER and you expressed it via a SOUP LINE where you fed him everyday.......you saw that your BROTHER was separated from his family yet, everyday he came to your soup line with a fifth of Scotch in his back pocket each day.
Eddie - DOES YOUR LOVE extend to him by which you CHALLENGE HIM on his behavior? Getting him to confront that which has bonded him and wrecked his life and that of his former wife and children who now are without their resident father?
You see Eddie - my mission is to show YOU, among the Progressive-Fundamentalist Liturgy writers that YOU CAN'T LOVE YOUR BROTHER if you cast the contempt of INFERIORITY UPON HIM.
The only think that you can ever be in MY GOD'S eyes is akin to a veterinarian who nursed an injured animal back to health. MY GOD sees that you attempt to bestow these animalistic traits to an otherwise EQUAL HUMAN BEING and he will spite YOU for seeking personal aggrandizement in his eyes.
The question of "Eddie What Have You Done to make those who I have created in my own form to SEE THEMSELVES IN SUCH A MANNER?" will be met with SILENCE as you think of an answer.
Fundamentally Eddie your greatest indictment against ME is that I have the AUDACITY to believe that ALL ADULT HUMAN BEINGS ARE EQUAL and thus they have the responsibility to act in ways that accentuate their equal humanity.
You (and HennasPlance and Granny) prefer that I try to force a GROWN AZZED MAN to take a bath because I WANT HIM TO BE CLEAN more than he does himself.
You all will ALWAYS BE MORE POPULAR TO ME but ONLY as the masses of people are willing to subordinate themselves to those who are throwing out food from the back of a truck, groveling to pick any loose pieces off of the ground. When I look at how they did not plant any seeds during THIS - the harvest time - I am seen as the guy who would have them starve.
Field, "Will someone please explain to anon. the difference between an atheist and someone who is agnostic? I would really appreciate that. I would tell you to explain it to the [un]constructive one as well, but it wouldn't do any good. He only listens to republicans."
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Field please explain YOUR agnostic belief and how that differs from atheism. Maybe I have you wrong but your comments about God, religion, etc sure sounds atheistic to me. Please explain.
I don't feel much of a need to rebut the 5 or 6 manifestos that you post daily on this blog. You don't know that you don't know, so there's no use trying to educate you.
ReplyDeleteLow & Country:
I understand your brand.
I gave you an opening to EXPLAIN the antics of the BLACK PROGRESSIVE CHRISTIAN ESTABLISHMENT who are LOYAL DEMOCRATS yet who still have certain dysfunctions that I see when I visit my family. (Note: Some of my family members are included in the - school drop out, obesity and high rates of single parentage. I am NOT proclaiming exclusivity)
You see Low & Country - like Rachel Maddow - these Blacks are of no benefit to you UNLESS you can enumerate their condition with the goal of attacking STATE REPUBLICANS and thus advance your own cause.
You just a black version of the guy who goes to tea party functions wearing a hat made out of teabags.
Indeed Low & Country.
I will be anything that you wish to mold me into.
You NEED TO BE looking at the growing "Bitter Black Coffee Movement". They have POWER over your community to-damned-day YET THEY focus on the past where their power streams from.
http://withintheblackcommunity.blogspot.com/2010/03/political-hi-jacking-of-civil-rights.html
"Seriously, Field please explain YOUR agnostic belief and how that differs from atheism. Maybe I have you wrong but your comments about God, religion, etc sure sounds atheistic to me. Please explain."
ReplyDeleteI will try and make it simple for you: An atheist is a person who believes that there is no god. An agnostic, on the other hand, is a person who acknowledges that he or she doesn't know.
We can go back and forth, brother. You seem to be preoccupied with the "Tough Love Philosophy", but you never seem to get past the tough.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to have a basic misunderstanding of politics and the nature of politics as it exists with in the black community.
Most African-Americans are conservative in their thinking, we believe and worship god, are thrifty with money, and believe in time honored values.
You seem to take issue with the aligning of the majority of AA's with the democratic party and to a certain degree, the progressive movement. Please be aware that the Democratic Party and the Progressive movement are not the same thing.
While there is a kernel of truth in the idea that there are a number of black that vote blindly for democrats against their self-interest, There are many more who vote for the progressive for the distinct reason that the progressive movement, and to la lesser degree the Democratic Party has advocated and fought for things that have a direct benefit to Blacks.
Why do middle to lower income whites vote Republican? That's a much better question, although I know you wont try to answer it, for doing so would expose the rank laziness of your logic. It makes more sense to you to rail against the blacks who have limited power by connecting them with the sitting president trying to connect them all through their blackness, then try to expose them with the misguided notion that you are helping us out by showing us the failures of said leaders. But if you are going to do that, to have any notion of seriousness or objectivity, you have to go and shine that focused beam of criticism at the mirror of your beliefs and those like you who share those beliefs. Can you? Or is it easier to just " LISTEN to Republicans but WATCH people like us?".
You need to get better material, Buddy. The shit is getting old.
I know I said this to you before, but it bears repeating. Stormfront is hiring. They're running short on Toms over there.
An agnostic, on the other hand, is a person who acknowledges that he or she doesn't know.
ReplyDeleteFilled Negro (you can answer this on behalf of Bennett as well):
What is the role of the AGNOSTIC upon hearing someone demand of the CHRISTIAN that THEY should support "Social Justice Governmental Reforms" per their RELIGION.
While it is true that as an AGNOSTIC he doesn't believe in the FORCE that the Christian is being tugged with to do as HE (the Agnostic) ultimately favors - he is willing to REMAIN SILENT and not rebuke the "Social Justice Believing Christian" (ie: Mellaneous) for pushing Christianity in such a manner.
In truth, however, the real question is: "Why doesn't the 'Social Justice Christian' challenge the "Conservative Christian" more than he does the "Social Justice Non-Believer"?
"You seem to have a basic misunderstanding of politics and the nature of politics as it exists with in the black community.
ReplyDeleteMost African-Americans are conservative in their thinking, we believe and worship god, are thrifty with money, and believe in time honored values.

Ding ding ding...!
Long have I been lamenting the fact that REAL Christians have not stood up and said, "You know what, America? These people ARE NOT US. Do not judge the entirety of Christianity on these psychotic wingnuts" but, until now, I've heard no such voices. I'm relieved to hear that someone is FINALLY standing up against the crazies (because, you know what? The crazies HAVE informed my beliefs about Christians and Christianity... and not in a good way, either. Just sayin').
ReplyDeleteLow & Country - it is painful to see how much you "don't get it".
ReplyDelete
You seem to be preoccupied with the "Tough Love Philosophy", but you never seem to get past the tough.
What YOU call "tough" is in truth your assumption that ADULTS can't have their assumptions challenged and be made to LOGICALLY EXPLAIN themselves before a person is to believe that they are SERIOUS about wanting to change their condition.
YOU, instead seek to CHANGE THEIR CONDITION.
I want to show them that THEY are the primary force upon who's backs CHANGE will be realized. It all starts with CONSCIOUSNESS - not a FAVORABLE VOTE OUTCOME as you would like them to believe.
You seem to have a basic misunderstanding of politics and the nature of politics as it exists with in the black community.
WRONG AGAIN - onion breath!!!
IT IS MY 'UNDERSTANDING OF POLITICS AND HOW NEGROES HAVE HIJACKED OUR COMMUNITY'S PERMANENT INTERESTS" that has me taking such a disposition against the MOLESTERS.
You want me to UNDERSTAND THE POLITICS so that I might one day put forth a POPULAR MESSAGE for Coloreds to agree to FOLLOW after.
INSTEAD I have the AUDACITY to say "YOU ARE RIGHT FILLED NEGRO!!! You have a position that is INDEED POPULAR WITH BLACK FOLKS where I cannot even become official "dog poop scooper in Fairmount Park".
The only problem with this, Low & Country is that bigots like you DON'T SEEM TO SEE that what people ACCEPT and what people REJECT must be studied in the context of THEIR PRESENT CONSCIOUSNESS and the OUTCOMES that are resident around them.
In Fredrick Douglass High in Baltimore the calculus books sit BRAND NEW and UNOPENED. Their REJECTION of this advanced mathematics book IS NOT BECAUSE the formulas within are WRONG.
The reason why the "General Math" text books that are used by the 12th graders there but by 8th graters ELSEWHERE IN THE USA and thus the book is tattered from over use is because the POPULARITY of this text shows evidence of the failings of the system.
You can't use POPULARITY as an index for EFFECTIVENESS.
Only rouge politicians do so for their own advantage.
Most African-Americans are conservative in their thinking, we believe and worship god, are thrifty with money, and believe in time honored values.
Low & Country:
THOUGHTS are merely CHEMICAL-ELECTRICAL CHARGES that flow through your mind.
Lets talk about PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS instead.
I told a Super Bowl party full of liberals that I am a BLACK CONSERVATOR. We can all agree that there are some BEST PRACTICES by which:
* Our people can receive quality education
* Our streets made safe
* Our local economic interests allowed to expand toward abundance
* and Highly developed relationships between the people within can be developed
My guy as a CONSERVATOR is to IDENTIFY THESE PRINCIPLES, spread them to all of the ADULTS to have them enforce these points and also to inculcate the next generation with these points so that they will live on for perpetuity.
It matters LESS that a person THINKS like an architect. I am more focused upon the BRIDGE that is needed to be built so that our people can cross the raging river safely rather than being swept down stream and being eaten alive by the crocs who's teeth are as deadly as the shanks used by Street Pirates.
ReplyDeleteYou seem to take issue with the aligning of the majority of AA's with the democratic party and to a certain degree, the progressive movement. Please be aware that the Democratic Party and the Progressive movement are not the same thing.
Low & Country:
I don't give a damn it it was called the "Cactus Party" and the "Get Your Gold Here Movement".
NEITHER OF THESE are the point!!!
I have CLEARLY articulated the differences between the AMERICAN POLITICAL DOMAIN and the COMMUNITY CULTURAL CONSCIOUSNESS AND COMPETENCE domain.
When any group of people ABANDON the CCC&C domain and instead seek to obtain their group salvation via the POLITICAL DOMAIN - they will AWAYS fall short. The postmortem will show how much they have COMPROMISED their Permanent Interests in the process.
So you see, Low & Country - my problem IS NOT WITH the Democratic Party. My problem is that EVEN AFTER Filled Negro's PHILLY and YEADON has DEMOCRATS FOR MILES AND MILES - having run their enemies away THEY STILL(!!!!!) are using the milieu of STRUGGLE against some ENEMY as their main source of propulsion and UNITY.
At some point the wise among them will see that they have been USED!!!!
MANAGEMENT 101 says that there is a need for those submitting a supposition to document what their plan entails. What will be received upon successful completion and how the parties will BENEFIT.
In the compromised world of Black Politics we were made to believe that the ACCOMPLISHMENT in and of itself WAS OBAMA'S ELECTION.
Now the same SNAKE OIL SALESMEN who sold us a year's supply of the tonic have the AUDACITY to claim that they are WORKING IN OUR BEST INTERESTS by telling the PRESIDENT that the Negro needs more jobs.
* WE NEEDED JOBS which promoted them into CITY COUNCIL!!
* WE NEEDED BETTER SCHOOLS which lead to this same machine taking over the school board.
* We NEEDED Police that PROTECTED US which lead to them becoming MAYOR
The question now is - "Low & Country - HOW MUCH LONGER are you going to be used and remain COMPLICIT?"
AGAIN, Low & Country - when you have an ARRAY OF PEOPLE who YOU VOTED FOR IN POWER (see Chicago and see the COOK COUNTY JAIL) at what point does your EXCUSE "Yes I voted for them but they were not REALLY 'PROGRESSIVES' as I had hoped they were" become evident as the FRAUDULENT point of obfuscation that it actually is?

Why do middle to lower income whites vote Republican?
ReplyDelete
Low & Country:
Get this: 11% of Whites in Alabama vote for Obama and the state is called RACIST!!!
96% of Black folks vote for Obama and they are called ENLIGHTENED as to who has their PERMANENT INTERESTS in mind.
Now 18 months later and they are knocking on the White House door DEMANDING JOBS..............few have a CLUE that when their MACHINE took over Philly, Baltimore, Newark, Milwaukee, Buffalo, Detroit, Akron and elsewhere JOB CREATION was not their forte.
The real question is WHY isn't the LOCAL AND NATIONAL MACHINE not held ACCOUNTABLE?
I have a recording of an ACORN march from "Democracy Now" - Low & Country.
The author of a book on ACORN detailed all that this ANTI-POVERTY group has done for THE POOR.
Then the irony struck me. The "Democracy Now" progressives are more prone to PROTEST AGAINST Ford, GM and Chrysler despite their PROVEN HISTORY in being an ANTI-POVERTY ORGANIZATION - having turned so many WORKING CLASS PEOPLE into MIDDLE CLASS.
Yet ACORN gets the PRAISE. They not only HELP THE POOR - they do a helluva job in KEEPING THEM POOR!!!!
Explain that contradiction to me Low & Country?
You need to get better material, Buddy. The shit is getting old.
I know I said this to you before, but it bears repeating. Stormfront is hiring. They're running short on Toms over there.
Indeed Low & Country. Indeed.
Stormfront prefers people like you who agree with their summation that the Negro is feeble and inferior.
I wonder if this video posted by BET Uncut (BTX3) will ever make it to the Filled Negro blog - thus showing what some Black folks will endure just to make a buck:

ReplyDeleteThe Klan and the "Concerned Citizens Council" were not the same thing EITHER.
Their INTENTIONS were in line enough for my ancestors to see that the both of them had no intention of allowing the Negro to grow to his full potential.
But we can call me names, but not women? are you crazy?
ReplyDeletethrifty with money, and believe in time honored values. ???WTF is this? what time honored values? are you fucking crazy? and thrifty with money??? as in spending cash on lottery tickets? explain

ReplyDeleteIs that your experience or are you regurgitating something you have heard or do you know every black in the country?
Hathor you stupid cunt. why not ask the original poster (oh, you wouldn't dare would you?) if they know every black in the country when they make broad brush statements about time honored values, thrifty etc.
ReplyDeleteTake that chip off your shoulder and use a little intelligence there old lady. If you had any sense you would realize the question you asked me would fit nicely with the original posters statements. But then again, sense may not be something you have sistah.
Field, "I will try and make it simple for you: An atheist is a person who believes that there is no god. An agnostic, on the other hand, is a person who acknowledges that he or she doesn't know."

On the other hand, in the past, and most recently, your words of negativity, and prejudice against people of faith seemed to indicate-that much like Lucifer-you believe in God but is pissed off at HIM (for whatever reason(s))...Or, you are a genuine atheist, which very few, if any humans really are.

Since when did bros call sistah's cunts?
Or are you a mixed metaphorical prick?
CF-"INSTEAD I have the AUDACITY to say "YOU ARE RIGHT FILLED NEGRO!!! You have a position that is INDEED POPULAR WITH BLACK FOLKS where I cannot even become official "dog poop scooper in Fairmount Park".
ReplyDeleteThe only problem with this, Low & Country is that bigots like you DON'T SEEM TO SEE that what people ACCEPT and what people REJECT must be studied in the context of THEIR PRESENT CONSCIOUSNESS and the OUTCOMES that are resident around them.
Only rouge politicians do so for their own advantage."
ding! ding! ding! I love the truth.
are you stupid hathor? just because I am black does not mean i like you???? and I hate to make you look even more stupid than you are (because you did not answer my question) I AM NOT a man!
ReplyDeletealso, don't knock mixed folks, it's racist. and that I am not as well...you are a trip hathor.
Blacks vote 95+% for the same political party that held them in slavery, that ruled them during segregation, and that keeps them on the government plantation today.
ReplyDeleteBlack America eats up the lies that Republicans are racist, that capatalism is evil, that the game is rigged and they have no hope on their own, but must follow their saviors in the Democratic party.
For this blind allegiance you are offered another handful of corn, some more straw in the stall, and a free visit from the vet. Anyone who walks off the farm is called a traitor, an Oreo, an Uncle Tom. You aren't a Field Negro, you're a Barn Negro, raised for votes. You're smart enough to sense that everything is not as it seems, but not brave enough to wander. Too bad.
I am agnostic and black people are not a monolithic group. I am not going to make assumptions about God, and truth be told I have more of a problem with people and how they use religion for their interests, but that goes with human nature.
ReplyDeleteCF, everyone has a moral code, we may differ in what we think is right or wrong. I do no believe one religion is better than another, and all paths lead to God or the very least the idea of truth whatever that might be. God is an abstract thought, but most of us think in a very concrete way. We are like my niece when she was four attending catholic school who believe that Father James was God when she did not see him in church that day. We are so focused on whether God or exist not, that we miss the point on how we are suppose to treat others in the moment. It is to my interest not to see my fellow man wallow in misery, particularly when it is within me to help. We do live in a modern society while it becomes increasing difficult not to extend the looking out for one another. We do not have an interest in helping people we do not know. I am currently reading Robert Wright's "Evolution of God" who has an example that in hunter-gatherers societies where a village may consist of thirty, forty, fifty people, so many kinds of wrongdoings are hard to conceal. If you stole a man's digging stick, where are you going to hide it? And what would be the point of having it if you couldn't use it?, And, anyway, is it worth the risk of getting caught thus incurring the wrath of its owner, his family, and closet friends, and the ongoing suspicion of everyone else?
The point is that you have to live with these people for the rest of your life is by itself a pretty strong incentive to treat them decently. The bottom line if you want them to help you out when you need help, you'd better help them out when they need help. The moral sanction is absence in the hunter-gather religion due who they live. However, in this society so large and disconnected, then moral religion will be necessary for people connect on a more communal level. People in larger societies tend to isolate themselves from one another, we do not get to know our neighbors, so we believe their interests is not our interests. If a person borrowed money from a friend, he or she can get on a bus and not bother to pay them back, therefore morality does become important in the society because it is the idea to keep us honest and from hurting one another.
This is an interesting thought I just had, how God has evolved and human beings have not. We are still immature children in many respects, spoiled brats that do understand we are part of a collective whole.
What are we arguing about? Glenn Beck. Religion. ? Really?
ReplyDeleteIt.is. all. fabricated. People wake up and read - I implore you to remove yourselves from these barriers of the mind. To say that religions or even Christianity is not political is too shocking for words.
I choose not to believe all that stuff, I choose not to fear death and therefore I live my life to it's fullest. All this stuff about souls and spouting passages from an ancient book written by political control freaks with the bulk of it stolen/Plagiarised from elsewhere...?
A bodice-ripping collection of brutality, ignorance and plain nonsense, mixed in with a few sage words.
No not for me, thanks.
You do realize by now that I can switch it up. I can talk about real issues or I just smack that ass down. This post will be an example of the latter.
ReplyDeleteDamn, Constructive Wingnut.
The ratio of my posts to your so-called "rebuttals" is like 5 to 1.
Are you getting upset?
Or are your realizing that that stench that you smell is that of your ass being handed to you?
Let me spell it out for you. Again.
EVERYTHING WRONG IN AMERICA TODAY IS A DIRECT RESULT OF CONSERVATIVE THEORY AND ACTION.
As I asked previously....could you REALLY have an intellectual discussion on Engels, Mark, Trotsky, Apparatchiks, "The little Red Book", Bolsheviks....or any other topic pertaining to Communism, Socialism, Liberalism, Progrssiveism, Racism, Sexism, Homophobia, Dystopia, or any other subset of the human condition that doesn't involve putting down those of us who share the same tonal genotype as you?
Think long and hard about that.
Faux intellectual conservative assholes like you are why the Europeans are leaving us in the dust. They have national healthcare and national education. They have zero poverty...not 40 million in poverty like the US. They have zero illiteracy, not 60 million who can't read at 3rd grade level like the US.
Their taxes go to their citizens...not corporate welfare, not corporate off-shore tax evasion schemes, not corporate tax loopholes or corporate subsidies. They pay almost half for healthcare compared to the US. They have high-speed rail going everywhere in minutes.
The controllers of the wealth in America have completely bamboozled one half of the American voter...this immense fraud is called..."the conservative movement". Some of the criminal minds behind their "theories" are the "Heritage Foundation" and the "American Enterprise Institute".
Let me share with you what a real nigger looks like.
He is usually a white Southerner who would rather have his outhouse, where he goes outside to shit in a hole in the ground, rather than buy into a government "scheme" to provide his dirty ass with fresh water.
He is the wingnut who would rather die of a treatable illness, than buy into a system that promises coverage and care for everyone, because he's mad that a young black single mother or a undocumented alien will get help and not burden our emergency rooms any more.
CF, you don't sound like a pundit, or a oracle, you sound like a guy who has been blessed and lucky enough to get ahead in this country, but you want others to get it the way you got it. You got yours, so fuck everybody else.
That's house negro thinking, for sure. I love how when you drops those turds of wisdom, four or five anons come out and support what you said. These are usually the same folks that, in the next few comments, post some blatantly racist shit. So, ergo, you are giving aid and comfort to those who hate us.
No better than a Nazi apologist or a holocaust denier. Or just some nebbish who doesn't understands his/her history.
And to the anons who post racist bullshit, at least have the courage to post a handle so that we may direct comments back to you. But I, for know that it won't happen. You need some semblance of courage to do that.

Apparently you couldn't answer or understand my first question, since you resorted to using scatology. Great intelligence there.
hennasplace, "CF, everyone has a moral code, we may differ in what we think is right or wrong."
ReplyDeleteDo you believe there is a universal moral code that is within every human being?
@hennasplace-"...However, in this society so large and disconnected, then moral religion will be necessary for people connect on a more communal level. People in larger societies tend to isolate themselves from one another, we do not get to know our neighbors, so we believe their interests is not our interests. If a person borrowed money from a friend, he or she can get on a bus and not bother to pay them back, therefore morality does become important in the society because it is the idea to keep us honest and from hurting one another."
All religions contain universal moral codes: Buddhism has Precepts, Hinduism/Vedanta/Yoga have Yama and Nyama=Moral and Ethical Disciplines, Christianity has the 10 Commandments...all are common moral and ethical guides for living harmoniously with each other in the world. If humans weren't hard-wired to such principles there would be no laws or justice.
The Precepts are as a Buddha would live; The Commandments are as Christ lives; Yama/Nyama are as Krishna/Brahman/Atman lives.
All moral and ethical teachings in all religions can be boiled down to one common theme: "That what you hate done to you, do not do to another."-Hillel/Judaism or "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
As you know, the Golden Rule is not so easy for humans to do.

Don't argue that point.
It is not relevant to those who "self-prescribe" their INJURY and the elixir that will cure them.
Don't make this about DEMOCRAT/REPUBLICAN. Then you are merely arguing as Low & Country argues.
GO FOR AN IMMUTABLE FOUNDATION from which to argue and REFUSE TO BE MOVED. Those who are FRAUDULENT and SOLD OUT will show their true colors.
* Safe Streets - within which the people can congregate together, building up the human to human fabric upon which strong bonds are built. No room for them to live in terror
* Quality Education - Where the community identifies a need (HEALTH CARE) and they use this all important institution to TRAIN UP their young people to become the PROFESSIONAL SERVICE AGENTS that maintain the STANDARD OF LIVING that the masses have been struggling for
(Side note - I just read an article from Prof Boyce Watkins which CLAIMED that EDUCATION is the foundation of the transformation of a people. Despite these WORDS - they RING HOLLOW when put to the TEST.
After all - Low & Country realizes that THEY DON'T STAND UP TO THE POLITICAL REALITIES within the Black community that will GRIND THESE DREAMS DOWN to a stump!!!!)
* Thriving Local Economies - where REGARDLESS of the RACE or PARTY OF THE PRESIDENT -the BLACK COMMUNITY is a JOB CREATING MACHINE!!!!!
* Healthy Lifestyle Outcomes that produce healthy relationships and long, disease-free lives as possible
ARGUE THESE POINTS ANON.
The HATERS are still going to hate.
The decent people will "feel you".
They know that they "get in where they fit in" at present and don't wish to suffer the ATTACK that those who DARE QUESTION THE BLACK ESTABLISHMENT will receive.
Keep the EYE ON THE PRIZE and others will gain the confidence to CHALLENGE THE ESTABLISHMENT AS WELL.

I appreciate that you DO argue these points, which make far more sense than TSC, or Mellaneous and the rest of that one-tune-group could ever make. They argue the the same old tired arguments that clearly don't work. But they claim you do.lol
For the life of me, I don't understand why people believe such people versus having a thriving local economy and a healthy undiseased race.

Anon 6:30 and CF
ReplyDeleteI agree. What i appreciate about CF is he provides a theoretical framework for change, something that I don't see out of anyone else on here. Instead, it's usually a post by FN that chums the waters (he's very slick at what he writes and how we writes it...the man knows his fan base quite well). Then people start with the same old garbage that does not lift up the black community or the black cause. Change will ONLY come from within ourselves. It's easy to sit and type krap all day, but never address any real measures for change. I think CF does this. It pisses many niggers of cause they don't want to accept any blame for their state of affairs and they are still "waiting" for someone to change things for them, rather than being the catalyst for such a change. Those who really want to see change, almost have to see beyond race if that makes sense. Like the exchange with Hathor early, the person claimed she had a chip on her shoulder. So many black folks do...enough rambling. Thanks CF for a framework of change. That is worth more any day than an attorney who finds delight in chasing racism (which we all know is alive and well), posting what he knows a group wants to hear and then wallows in that false sense of joy that he is "making a difference". Peace out and good night.

ReplyDeleteA rich spoiled attorney: Pot, meet kettle.
"Instead, they continue to support the very thing that is killing the bc."

And how exactly is CF and his ilk helping the black community? By giving 10% in tithe to his church every Sunday? By dropping some change at the checkout counter in the charity box at his suburban whole-foods grocery store?
Please.
FN: "So let me see now: The dems offer a "handful of corn",and "some straw". You offer me less than minimum wage to grow it for you, then tell me to go and buy my own damn corn after you mark up the price. Is that how it works?"
ReplyDeleteNo, I offer you nothing. It is your choice whether you stay in the barn or have a look outside.
And if you bought your own corn, you'd have a say in the price.
Life is not easy for most people, black or white. But when what you are doing now seems to be going nowhere, why won't you consider a different way? The First Law of Holes states that when you find yourself in one, stop digging.
You hate CF cause he is

2. Wants accountability for blacks. People like you FN think that accountability is racist. After all, he doesn't agree with direction the black community is headed, so he speaks out about that...but folks like you don't like that disruption of your happy little we are black, we may have trashy rap music, and various other social ills, but you...nevermind, you are nigger that keeps our race down man, but you will never be able to see it.

ReplyDeleteI think that are many people who there are who trying to find purpose and meaning. I am agnostic because I do not proscribe to the thought that the bible is to be taken literally. I think people who call themselves fundamentalists believers and atheists make a stance on a simplistic level that God exist or doesn't exist. I think it is more complex than that. There is a lot of wisdom in the book and believe lessons can be learned on how to better a person and creating a moral code that you can live by.
There are some universal moral codes such as incest that is taboo, but even the rules on incest vary. Some primitive cultures believe that is incest in a village where there is no blood relation, meaning a villager will have to marry a person from another village not to violate that code. Who would have thought I would remember that from anthropology class in college all the years ago. The concept of a moral code is universal, but it does vary from culture to culture and from individual to individual. I find the subject fascinating because the discussion can be endless and constantly provoke thought. While I was googling the word atheist to spell it correctly, I found out that there is an organization called Atheists for Jesus. I think the focus beyond the organization is the philosophy of Jesus. The idea of serving humanity is one of Jesus' philosophy, and building a sense of community. The question becomes how does that idea fit into this modern society. Does philosophy need to change or human beings? I do not have an answer to the question, but it something to think about. John Shelby Spong broached the idea in his book Why Christianity Must Die or Change, a retired bishop of the Episcopal Church Diocese of Newark, NJ. I would say that he is an authority on theology.

ReplyDelete"Thriving Local Economies - where REGARDLESS of the RACE or PARTY OF THE PRESIDENT -the BLACK COMMUNITY is a JOB CREATING MACHINE!!!!!
* Healthy Lifestyle Outcomes that produce healthy relationships and long, disease-free lives as possible"
Anon 6:30 you are wrong I actually agree with this goal why is it necesary to try to make up what you think that I think? I too want to see a healthy community and people of all races thriving.
Is it because you disagree with my assessment of the failure of this system to help make this a reality that you make up things about me? I want a world in which everyone has the equal opportunity to succeed. What is that you want?
"And if you bought your own corn, you'd have a say in the price."
ReplyDeleteHow exactly would I do that? Ahhm, sorry Mr. ShopRite, I don't have all the money today, can I pay you half of it?
"Life is not easy for most people, black or white. But when what you are doing now seems to be going nowhere, why won't you consider a different way?"
Which is?
Oh wait...I know. It's education, hard work, and more personal responsibility. Is that right?
"Either your daddy was a good god fearing man or a whoremonger who raped little boys. My guess is the 2nd cause you have seemed very bitter about religion in the years past."
Wrong. My daddy wasn't Catholic.
Hey, it's Saturday night. Don't they have some nice restaurants in Toronto? Why don't you take your significant other for a nice date out on the town and stop beating up yourself on the blog of some guy you wish you were but can never be? ;)
"Hateration" is not a good emotion to have. It will eat you up and make you an even bigger loser than you already are.
Oh FN, I don't want to be a guy, I am quite happy with my tits, ass and vagina. But thanks for caring. I will be doing drinks with some accomplished brothers and sisters later this eve. Not Toronto, but close. Much liker your hateration for racists that makes you more racist as the days pass???

ReplyDelete"What i appreciate about CF is he provides a theoretical framework for change, something that I don't see out of anyone else on here."
Have you been reading Fields blog for at least a few months because if you had you would know that CF never and I mean never provides a framework for change?
Please enlighten us! What pray tell is that framework for change that you speak so smartly about? Don't you know that CF is an "conservator" his so called theoretical framework (quackery) is that nothing should change.
Go back and read his posts he just makes up stuff about some so-called "progressives" or "progressism" that are running things and criticizes anybody who suggests that we should address societies injustices and wrongs, while pretending that everything is a-ok and that black folks who struggle are somehow just lazy or inept.
Uptown Steve and a few others probably will lose it when they see what you said.
CF has challenged many of us to put our ideas down for how we would improve the community and some of us have taken him up on it.
About a month ago he challenged me to talk about how I would cure some of the ills in our community and I spent several posts breaking it down. I talked about community self help as well as advocating just practices that would make it easier for the community to advance esp after they have jumped through all the appointed hoops.
He didn't say a word in response. You know why, because he was surprised that, while I can point to the injustices and inequities of the system I talked a lot about self help and relying on the black community to help itself.
But because he hates it so bad when folks call this system out, he tries to paint those who would fight for a more just society and a more just and fair distribution of the wealth, in a narrow corner.
Did you not read my post on how to deal with youth crime in black neighborhoods?
What pisses me off is when people like you come on to the blog and don't put your ideas out there to be examined, but ride the jock of the folks with the most backward ideas, who adds nothing to what ultimately this blog is about; advancing the interests of black people and the larger community as a whole.
But if you can only bring a knife to this gunfight then I understand.
You are correct, but if blacks participated in both political parties, the concerns that affect the black community would be more likely to be resolved.
ReplyDeleteAnon:
I DISAGREE WITH YOU.
(let me repeat for Filled Negro and Low&Country's benefit)
I DISAGREE WITH YOU ON YOUR STATEMENT ABOVE.
Black people SPLITTING OUR VOTE with the hopes of resolving our COMMUNITY LEVEL problems is merely a play in the "American Political Domain".
Look at how the Smiley/Sharpton debate has gone done amongst TWO BLACK PROGRESSIVE-FUNDAMENTALISTS.
Imagine if Sharpton were a Black Republican? Do you think he'd survive the "symbolic gun shots" pumped into his chest?
We need to understand that these are two PROGRESSIVES with merely a TACTICAL DISAGREEMENT between themselves. THIS IS NOT "DuBois vs Washington"!!!!!
What you need to see is that all of this is taking place in the context of a COMMUNITY with a VOID in its ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE. There is no TRANSPARENT ENTITY (think "Congressional Budget Office") which doesn't have a dog in the fight. Its job is to DISPASSIONATELY review the PROMISES made 2 or 4 years ago (or 30 years ago) and ask those who got into POWER via these promises to STAND FOR INSPECTION.
Instead they operate for POWER for nothing more than the sake of POWER.
Instead we have the components of the "Black Establishment" (media, preachers, entertainers) conspiring for the very same END. There is a tacit agreement to not "check" each other so harshly that "the Enemy" gets back in power. The fact that the ENEMY has departed Philly and thus they are "all alone", running things - just as they had "struggled for" is not enough for those who are OVERJOYED about touring city hall and seeing all of the "Portraits hanging on the wall" to demand CHANGE of course.
This is the BEST "Campaign Rally" that one can do for Black folks. Take them to the city hall or county building and show them the portraits and ask them to "LOOK AT THAT BARREN WALL FURTHER DOWN THE HALL WAY"........" WHO'S PICTURES are you going to help to fill that wall?" "Republicans? (wink, wink, wink, wink) or Democrats who have PROVEN to actually CARE about your interests? If we push to hard on our present leadership - these pictures in the future will look very, very 'Republican red' if you know what I mean."
To the average person it will fly over their heads that the REPUBLICANS have already LEFT THEM and that their new round of POLITICAL GRIEVANCES boil down to a grand attempt to expand the TAXING DISTRICT so that the Republicans that left them can no longer have their money run away from their SOCIAL OBLIGATION that are left behind in Philly.
I will say it again to the question: What have the Republicans ever done for Black people?
(and NO I AM NOT A REPUBLICAN!!!)
Answer: In the face of an intractable disagreement on RESOURCE ALLOCATION in the CITIES - THEY DEPARTED!!!! From this we got:
* Maynard Jackson
* Wilson Goode
* Fox in Charlotte
* Tom Bradley
* Harold Washington
* Carl Stokes
* Sharpe James
* David Dinkins
* Coleman Young
and other Great Leaders in the ranks of City Council, County Board, School Board, Sheriffs, Police Chiefs, Fire Chiefs, Judges (scratch James from that list of "Great Leaders")
Anon - while it is true that there is a double standard that was shown in 2008 where the White voter was asked to PROVE that he is not racist by NOT-NOT voting for Obama because he is Black. However the more accurate challenge to the Black voter is to EXPLAIN why they purged THE MACHINE that had failed us and thus denied us quality education, safe streets and economic opportunity - only to replace them with FAVORABLE PEOPLE and largely end up with the same damned results.
ReplyDeleteIn 2010 it is very highly possible that the problem is not the Republicans who are DENYING the drive to NATIONAL STATISM but instead those who MANAGE THE LOCAL HUMAN RESOURCES yet - IN THEIR FREEDOM OF CHOICE FOR THEIR LABOR and CONTROL OVER THE EDUCATION SYSTEM the STILL have not managed to find a way to DEPLOY the people to work for the CONSTRUCTION OF THEIR OWN PERMANENT INTERESTS.
The "BOIL THE OCEAN" APPROACH of OUTWARD EXPANSION merely DISTRACTS the masses from the real problem: THEIR LACK OF AN INFRASTRUCTURE that DEVELOPS CONSCIOUSNESS among the people - TELLING THEM ABOUT THEIR INDIVIDUAL ROLE IN THE SOLUTION and manages them day in and day out so that they focus on PRODUCTIVE ENDS.
IF OUR COMMUNITIES DID THIS (and I am talking about communities of people NOT RACE) then the main publicized concern would NOT BE TeaParties, Rush Limbaugh or Mike Steele. Instead it would be figuring out how to get 100% of our Black males going to college - JUST AS THEY DID in Chicago's "Urban Charter School" that made the news this past week.
The black female anon:
ReplyDeleteIf you are an educated black woman who is interested in the uplift of the human race in general and the black race in specific, why not put your ideas out there like everyone else instead of riding CF's coattails.
According to what you say, you are an accomplished black woman so what is with the vitriol.
Educated folks know that we don't have to tear one another down if we disagree. We can disagree without being disagreeable and resorting to everyday street language.
How has your behavior on this blog been any better than two street gangs squaring off on one another? Calling Hathor lewd names and bad mouthing Field's father and insinuating that he is a rapist are not the kind of behavior I would expect from someone who has "made it."
But it does say something about you!!!
This puts a different light on the limits of a good education and social advancement. Judging from your spewings on this blog it doesn't make us better human beings!!!
Anon - thanks for your support BUT - STOP MAKING THIS "ALL ABOUT ME".
ReplyDeleteI like to elbow my BFF Filled Negro but ultimately I want to promote the FRAMEWORK of PERMANENT INTERESTS. With your tactics you are provoking Filled Negro to RESIST even considering the framework that I DID NOT DEVELOP. I merely LISTENED TO people from all stripes and listed the COMMON DENOMINATOR of their desired "Standard of Living". This is an "Open Source" listing - free for the taking. Those who wish to clarify it - have at it.
And how exactly is CF and his ilk helping the black community? By giving 10% in tithe to his church every Sunday? By dropping some change at the checkout counter in the charity box at his suburban whole-foods grocery store?
Filled Negro - let's just say that while I can tell you my interactions with "the Community" I AM NOT GOING TO.
I would prefer if you asked ME and A "Brother from around the way": WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TODAY?
Though you would have me to believe that my VIEWS should be quarantined lest they spread - the TRUTH IS that this other brother from around the way's VIEWS are problematic. THIS IS WHY YOU NEVER ASK ANYTHING OF HIM - as you do ME.
Think about that for a second Filled Negro (and Mellaneous). Me - the Black man who can't even make DOG CATCHER is challenged on what he has done to engage the community. For this other brother from around the way - as LONG AS HE HAS THE RIGHT TO VOTE and does so to your liking every 2 years and gets his head counted every 10 years- HE ESCAPES your wrath.
Are you sure that it is ME who has the problem Filled Negro?
"You hate CF cause he is
ReplyDelete1. A whole lot smarter than you will ever be.
2. Wants accountability for blacks. People like you FN think that accountability is racist. After all, he doesn't agree with direction the black community is headed, so he speaks out about that...but folks like you don't like that disruption of your happy little we are black, we may have trashy rap music, and various other social ills, but you...nevermind, you are nigger that keeps our race down man, but you will never be able to see it."

I don't know where to start, That post was so insanely stupid.
I don't have anything against Constructive Wingnut. At all. It is good that there is some diversity of opinion among the AA community.
My problem is that he sounds like a doctor that tells you that you have cancer without taking tests, performing biopsies, or doing blood tests. He's telling you that you have cancer because the last patient that came in and looked like you had cancer too.
And I didn't know that accountability was a commodity that only white people could barter and trade with. That's the awe-inspiring lie that is the myth of white superiority. That you think that only white people or conservative euro-centric thought has ever achieved or built anything.
I guess that you forget that most of the stories in the bible deal with or concern mostly, people of color, or that the first civilizations on this planet were people of color. Or that of the 6.5 billion people who inhabit this planet, 5.1 billion of them are of color and they seem to be doing just fine.
Or are you just mad because they aren't any white tailbacks in the NFL?
It's pure selfishness.
ReplyDeleteMen like Beck don't want others to climb towards the level of fortune he's attained, as it renders their fortunes insignificant. They want to be the "Big Men" walking down the street, flicking pennies at the poor while they spend untold thousands of dollars on suits, wine, cigars and women. They want others to consume themselves in bickering and bloodshed, so the Big Men will have no one available to challenge their riches. They want to be looked up to, not matched.
In other words, it's the fans of the Gilded Age and Robber Barons rearing their ugly, cigar smoking heads.
Beck had better make the world's sharpest U-turn and repent. Otherwise, he may find his fortunes -- or health -- taking a downward dive. It's all downhill from here.
"That preposterous answer to my question, pretty much sums up why folks who think like the unconstructive one should not be elected to be even a dog catcher in any community."
CF is just being CF. He can't be helped by others and the best thing to do is deny him an audience. He'll find other things to do when he realizes that no one cares about his conflicted rhetoric. In theory, at least.
"Actually, Dad, Go back to sleep. When you wake up it might be that 1950's fantasy land you see in your dreams.
Tell Aunt Bea I said hi."
The Andy Griffith Show.......Leave It To Beaver......these were the shows and the environment that most Teabaggers (heh) grew up in and with. They're about my mother's age and older. Why I mentioned that? Because my mom was born and grew up in the midst of the Civil Rights Movement, in one of the bigger hotbeds of the anti-segregation movement. Given the attitudes and beliefs held by whites back then, I can safely say that I'm not surprised about any of their actions or words. It's 60% fear, 30% hate and 10% epic stupidity.
2. Wants accountability for blacks.
ReplyDeleteAccountability alone is not the point.
Haiti has ACCOUNTABILITY. The 'enemy party' has FAILED and they were toppled at any cost, to put the favorable guy in place.
I am striving for EFFECTIVE HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT!!!
This is done through INSTITUTIONS and TRANSPARENT GOVERNANCE.
Look at all of the African nations who's leaders know good and well that for their nation to prosper THEY AS LEADERS need to SUBMIT THEMSELVES to some immutable constructs of democracy and justice.
At the same time they know that in their present power they can suppress these institutions and RETAIN THEIR POWER!!!
They are "rolling" but their nation is being left behind when compared to others.
Scapegoating, propaganda and "character lynching" of their adversaries are signs of such a consciousness. (Hey WAIT a minute!! I just described the "daily self-chumming" that Filled Negro does with his selection of blog entries).
got your "female" anons confused there

The best way to "shut me down" is to pick from any of my novels and TEAR MY LOGIC AND REASONING TO SHREDS.
Instead YOU choose to act like the CCC from the 1960s' - attempting to get all White Employers at the meeting to agree that "Any Nigra that dares try and register to vote that the group of employers in the room will AGREE to relieve him of his services at their company where he works".
I give it to you Mack Is Lying - IT WAS VERY EFFECTIVE until the Blacks started singing "Ain't Gonna Let Nobody TURN ME AROUND, TURN ME AROUND, TURN ME AROUND".

ReplyDeleteOne thing I dislike about the anonymous posting system is that anyone can leave the conversational equivalent of a flaming turd on someone's front door. There's no name or face to put these actions on. In other words, no accountability.
It's the reason why I don't bother to converse with anyone willing to hide behind the anonymous moniker. Because they can just as easily dump flaming turds without so much as a general sketch of who's leaving them. By being anonymous, I'm not sure if you are who you say you are or if you're just some troll trying to get a rise out of Field and the others. Any fact or figure about you could be made up. Who knows if you're really stationed outside of Toronto? Are you really gonna buy a round of drinks for you and your accomplished companions, or are you really just gonna sit at home, crack open a Natty Ice and post more comments on random blogs, as a way of compensating for your lack of a social life?
See what I mean? I'll reserve my posts for people who have at least some substenence. Even CF, God bless him, has some sort of concreteness about him -- something you and some of the other anons lack.
"Mack Is Lying:

I believe this is the first time you have bothered to directly address me. I can't say that I'm all that flattered.
You don't want me to do the above. It'll most likely be the last time you'll ever post here, ever.

ReplyDelete"I asked you how you are able to read Filled Negro's opening message and choose to go after CONSERVATIVE CHRISTIANS while saying NOTHING to Filled Negro - who DOESN'T BELIEVE IN "YOUR JESUS" and thinks you are a FOOL for believing that he is your savior."
My answer- conservative Christian to me is an oxymoron. You should know that the idea of converting folks to Christianity amounts to whats called witnessing. You can pass out tracts declaring that people need to be saved to go to heaven or you can tell people about your belief or you can demonstrate by your life and your committment to the ideals of Jesus Christ. But you can't beat people over the head.
Incidently your consistently narrowminded and sometimes hateful screeds are counter productive to my or anyone elses efforts to point others toward the love of Christ.
I mean how can you say you agree with what Glenn Beck says about social justice and the church. I understand and you would be right to assert that the mainline churches have too often not practiced love for humankind.
But have you read the Old Testament and the New Testament. The first directive from God to the people of Israel after freeing them from Egypt, was about how they should not mistreat one another and be kind to strangers and foreigners because they had been mistreated in Egypt.
No matter what you think you may be doing, loving is not one of the terms I would use to describe the way you present yourself. Jesus in one of his last conversations with his disciples said folks will know that you are my disciples by your love. How can I lead anyone who reads this blog to Jesus and the soul freeing work of trusting and believing in God if you undermine my efforts with your constant callousness?
The Bible tells us to be humble, yet you consistently display arrogance, it suggests that we speak kindly to one another, yet you have referred to me and others as "mofos." And coincidentally, the anons who claim to be Christians have called people the worst of names as well.
Jesus preaches love for one another and compassion, yet you seem to have nothing but contempt for God's creation who may be struggling in life for whatever reason. You say you tutor or mentor children in your community. If you are able to see that they need a little help, why can't you relate this to other fellow human beings who may just need a little help?
cont;
ReplyDeleteJesus looked over the city of Jerusalem and the Bible said he wept. He saw the suffering of humankind and he cried! You see the suffering of humankind and you are unmoved by it, in fact you belittle and scorn those who for whatever reason don't have the wherewithal to overcome as you at least claim to have. In Paul's letter to the Romans, he explains that God loved us so much that while we were still being sinners, inept, lazy, trifling, insecure, hateful, etc.,that Christ still showed us love by dying an awful death on behalf of (some say because of) for humanity. A humanity that has all kinds of problems yet Christ died for it.
Those who follow Jesus are asked to be grateful for what God has given them and not poke fun or make light or deprecate those who struggle. Paul in his Roman letter also says," the strong ought to bear the infirmities or the failings of the weak." In other words help a brother who may be struggling. And finally, to suggest that people don't have because they are lazy. is patently dishonest or it reveals that you have little knowledge of the systems that you claim to love.
People who get rich get their riches from somewhere, they don't fall out of the sky blue. As someone once said, "behind every great fortune there is a great crime." There is indeed truth to that, the poor are poor because the resources that they could be using have been ripped off from them either through a series of bad contracts, bad laws, unequal access and sometimes brute force.

I didn't exactly write this with you solely in mind. And your tits are most likely the kind that would make Aunt Jemima proud and Bisquick jealous. :D
anon 8:50 not only are you name-less and face-less you obviously defense- less on this board. You are the obviously ignorant one you can't even defend the evil that you love so much.
ReplyDeleteIs that the best you can do. You are busted! You see the corruption of the leaders of the African neo-colonial and yes capitalist, (free market, free enterprise) systems but you turn a blind eye to the corruption of the same system here in the US. And by the way don't try the democracy argument. Capitalism is an economic system that thrives under democratic as well as autocratic conditions. In fact it prefers the latter as the evidence you provided. Dictatorships limit the efforts of the people to fend for themselves and limit the abuses of the so-called free market.
A good example is there are no or few labor unions in dictatorial and authoritarian capitalist states all the better for the capitalists to pay workers whatever they want, which is definitely not a living wage, hell barely a wage at all.
So if you see their corruption it is I suspected you have been closing your eyes to the very same things going on here and instead of being honest about it you have chosen to blame the victims.
You are the real FRAUD!! You know the truth but pretend it to be otherwise.

ReplyDeleteI believe the proper term for people who use terms like "bloodsucking running dogs" is useful idiot.
mack,
ReplyDeleteyou just wish you had some tits to play with rather than that baby black you call a dick :D
Anon then that makes you less than a human being. I bet you hate that you can't still be in the Niger Delta where you could treat the African brothers any way you like and you could literally buy the affections of African women --whom you corrupted --for a few dollars--which in the States you pretend to loathe.
ReplyDeleteTell Field about the shameful crap you did in Africa and Third World. Tell him about the security forces that your company employed to kill folks who asked their fair share from your company.
I know who you are, you pig!! And you are in every since of the word.
Tell everyone how you worked for an oil company that polluted the hell out of African countries while taking out their resources and pretending that you didn't know that the corrupt leadership was not going to share the oil revenues with the rest of the population, which left them starving while youall are running around in the finest.
Come on tell everybody about the pig you really are and how you have no shame. You don't even have the decency to feel bad about what you and your company have done.

TELL THEM!!!
Hathor Cunt,
ReplyDeleteYet you didn't say a word when Mack mentioned my tits first. The SAME FUCKING thing you did earlier, callled out my post, but not the originators. BTW in Thursday's post "How do they do it" about women making less $$ why did FN post your photo with a cum drop dripping down your cheek...looks like you got a little love there...

I have. Have you been educated in Europe? I was. Have you worked in Europe? I have. What is the basis for these specious claims?
People like you who have never lived in such countries think places like Canada and France are some kind of utopian wet dream.
Have some first hand knowledge before you launch off with such broad and ERRONEOUS generalizations.
@FN:
ReplyDeleteDon't be hating on Glenn Beck. ;)
He's the well-compensated carefully controlled "Opposition" fulfilling his role to keep the evangelical "righteous" right occupied and alarmed.
Otherwise, they might find common cause with their brethren on the other side, and then they might start comparing notes.
Can't be having that, so the divide-and-conquer strategy continues.
His alter ego Olbie fulfills the same mandate for the left.
I'd say thr previous commenters have nailed it, notably Farman's first comment. Glen Beck, like Rush Limbaugh, is simply evil. It was inevitable that he'd eventually extend his attacks from the nation's victims, to anyone who dares stand up for them.
ReplyDeleteWait a minute - Beck is Mormon? How did I not know that. So I will direct him to his own church's site with a search for charity
ReplyDeletehttp://scriptures.lds.org/en/search?search=charity&do=Search
Also, Mormons have a lot of "socialist" dogma and even have their own social services for membership.
He's such a dope.
Jesus was definitely a socialist and advocate for social justice.
