Damn O man, can you find another A-merry-can hater to kill? [Graphic Warning on this link!] I bet terrorist and despots all over the world thought that when the black Socialist took over the United States it would be one big party. Not! All of you folks heading to an occupy [fill in the blank] better be careful. Folks are watching you and they are taking names.

"A public radio host was fired on Thursday after the conservative political site The Daily Caller exposed her role as a spokeswoman for "October 2011," the faction of Occupy Wall Street movement occupying Washington's Freedom Plaza.

Lisa Simeone, the host of the nationally syndicated "World of Opera" show, and former weekend host of "All Things Considered," is a freelancer working for WDAV, NPR's Davidson, N.C., affiliate, where "World of Opera" originates. She also was the host for the weekly D.C. show "Soundprint" on NPR's WAMU affiliate.

Simeone confirmed on Thursday that she had been fired from the "Soundprint" show; NPR is "in conversations" about her role as both "World of Opera" host and Occupy D.C. protester.

"We recently learned of World of Opera host Lisa Simeone's participation in an Occupy D.C. group," NPR communications SVP Dana Davis Rehm wrote in a memo to affiliates. "We're in conversations with WDAV about how they intend to handle this. We of course take this issue very seriously."
Those conversations could result in Simone's firing from that show, too. On Thursday, Rehm added: "We fully respect that the management of WDAV is solely responsible for the decision making around Lisa's participation in Occupy DC and her freelance role with WDAV's program."
On Wednesday, Simeone wrote in an email to the Baltimore Sun that she didn't understand what the fuss was all about:
I find it puzzling that NPR objects to my exercising my rights as an American citizen -- the right to free speech, the right to peaceable assembly -- on my own time in my own life.

I'm not an NPR employee. I'm a freelancer. NPR doesn't pay me. I'm also not a news reporter. I don't cover politics. I've never brought a whiff of my political activities into the work I've done for NPR World of Opera. What is NPR afraid I'll do -- insert a seditious comment into a synopsis of Madame Butterfly?

This sudden concern with my political activities is also surprising in light of the fact that Mara Liaason reports on politics for NPR yet appears as a commentator on Fox TV, Scott Simon hosts an NPR news show yet writes political op-eds for national newspapers, Cokie Roberts reports on politics for NPR yet accepts large speaking fees from businesses. Does NPR also send out "Communications Alerts" about their activities?

Ms. Simeone, didn't you know that all political activities aren't created equal? [Article]

    But the top of the story suggests Rubio himself has given this “dramatatic account:” that “he was the son of exiles, he told audiences, Cuban Americans forced off their beloved island after ‘a thug,’ Fidel Castro, took power.”
    However, the story doesn’t cite one speech where Rubio actually said that.
    To back up the lead, the Washington Post excerpts from a 2006 address in the Florida House where Rubio said “in January of 1959 a thug named Fidel Castro took power in Cuba and countless Cubans were forced to flee… Today your children and grandchildren are the secretary of commerce of the United States and multiple members of Congress…and soon, even speaker of the Florida House.”
    The catch: If you listen to the speech, Rubio isn’t just talking about those who specifically fled Cuba after Castro took power. He doesn’t say that his parents fled Cuba. Instead, he was talking about “a community of exiles.” That is: He was talking about all the Cubans who live in Miami.

    The political argument is simple: To whom much is given, much is required. President Obama received unprecedented support from Black America in large part, because of the color of his skin. Had he been white, millions of Black folks would not have rallied for him, organized on his behalf or took time off to go vote for him. Therefore, it is only logical that those who went the extra mile for their president expect and demand that he go the extra mile for them. Going the extra mile means not just showing up when he needs something (notice the special attention Black folks have received since election season began), but having the same degree of integrity, faith and commitment in us that we are expected to have toward the White House. Yes, the Republicans are giving President Obama a hard time, but millions of Black people are being hammered by racism and they didn’t use that as an excuse for not showing up on election day.

    So, if the White House expects Black America to treat Obama differently from the way they would treat a white politician, it is only logical that we expect the same. One of the tenets of racial inequality is the idea that Black people should be complacent with being treated worse than others treat us: For example, whites are allowed to moan to President Obama all day about 8.1 percent unemployment, but Black people are told to “stop complaining” about nearly 17% unemployment. Do we realize how sick it is that we allow others to say and do things that we cannot do ourselves? So, when President Obama gives a speech before a group of white folks and says “stop complaining,” then I’ll be satisfied. But until then, we might want to reconsider accepting our role as President Obama’s political mistress.

I don't see real stories anywhere in the media like for example the house ethics committee moving forward with Jesse Jackson Jr when he tried to buy Obamas senate seat or Maxine Waters how she forced loans from the bank bailouts for her husband and on and on, these are real stories not some fake paintings.     Obama's policy in the Muslim world only makes sense if the ultimate goal is the support of Islamic governments.

    He has toppled governments in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya for the benefit of the Muslim Brotherhood. He ignored the protests last year in Iran and said nothing has pro-democracy forces were murdered in the street.

    Likewise, he has done nothing as Assad has gunned down thousands of protestors in Syria. I guess Assad gets a pass because he supports Hamas and Hezbollah.

    Where this all leads is anybody's guess. It would be best to develop your own oil resources and stay out of the Middle East entirely.
