N-words in celebrity land, and a Pennsylvania Shell game.

I swear you Negroes are so sensitive. White folks just don't know how to act around you. Pretty soon you won't have any friends at all. Poor Gwyneth Paltrow. She tried to be down with you all and all she got for her troubles was a twitter firestorm. Come on now, what's a little "N-word" between friends?

Anyway, some of you celebrity Negroes who are used to white folks (unlike those Negroes in the hood who never see white folks) are jigging coming to Gwyneth's defense.

"...a couple of nights ago, a similar milestone occurred in Paris with Jay and Kanye's Watch The Throne Tour. It was at this show that my friend Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted something that got me a little twisted. I follow Gwyneth on Twitter and when I saw her tweet about the “N*ggas in Paris” show in PARIS, I said ‘Damn everybody is there but me.’ I’m a bit older and I don’t get to jet-set to concerts like I used to, but when I saw Gwyneth was there, I must admit, I got a little jealous. The tweet she sent has since angered some in the black community, since she used the n-word. But when I saw it, it didn’t faze me - not even one bit.

I have to throw my hand up and stand up for Gwyneth. I know her intentions were not to be offensive ... she was just proud of her friend, Jay-Z. My words are in defense of her.

I don’t have a permanent answer to the n-word controversy that appeases everyone. I remember when I tried to fix it and said we should maybe beep that word and a few others on the radio, Oprah quoted me as if I said not to use the n-word. However, for the record, I have NEVER told any artist not to use that word or any word in my life and I never will; a poet can choose their own words to describe whatever they want in their art."

Ahhhm....Russell, I have a news flash for you: Gwyneth is not a poet. But I get your point. Still, if I was Gwyneth, I would just stop hanging around you Negroes.

Finally, as another governor fights for his political life tonight, my governor is busy selling out Pistolvania to Shell Oil. $1.7 Billion??!! That can buy a lot of school books.

My friend Will Bunch wrote an excellent article exposing Governor Big Oil:

"They are the world's second largest corporation by revenue, and last year Royal Dutch Shell made an astronomical $31 billion in profits - more than triple what the global oil giant was earning just two years earlier.

But Gov. Corbett apparently doesn't think the hard-earned cash you fork over every time you pull into a Shell station is enough.

He wants to give them your tax dollars, too - perhaps as much as about $1.7 billion over the next 25 years.

It would actually be too kind to call Corbett's corporate-welfare scheme involving Shell's planned ethane-cracking plant on Pennsylvania's far western border a tax break - because the deal has already won state approval to avoid taxes, in a specially created Keystone Opportunity Zone. So this proposed new deal - which was being negotiated in secret until long-time Harrisburg journalist Pete DeCoursey broke the news Monday - is essentially just a straight-up cash giveaway to Big Oil.

For a facility it is already planning to build here.

In the state where it arguably would have been built anyway without a single dollar of tax incentives, since this is where ethane wells are already being drilled.

Did I mention that this is the same Tom Corbett who wants struggling unemployed folks getting food stamps to prove they don't have money stashed away, whose steep 2011 cuts to school funding deeply exacerbated an education crisis that's risking everything from school plays in Upper Darby to the janitor who cleans your son's classroom here in Philadelphia? I guess janitors didn't realize the threshold to get Corbett's attention is $31 billion.

"It's essentially a big giveaway of money we didn't have, to attract a company we were already getting," said Sharon Ward, the director of the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center, a progressive think tank, who called the proposal "unprecedented." [Article]

This is not "unprecedented" this is the new normal here in America: Corporations first, people second. Oh wait...corporations are people. Never mind.

I really like Gwenyth Paltrow. She doesn't have a racist bone in her body. In fact, she supports the black cause. Yet, some Negroes want to hate and attack those Whites who are obviously trying their best to stand with Blacks.

I guess we don't want any White support. I suppose we can do all this by ourselves. If that is the case, why aren't we in better shape? Some Negroes are dumber than rednecks...even dumber than dirt.

Some of my people depress the hell out of me. Field, your posts are becoming too damn depressing. Can't your black ass find something uplifting and worthwhile?

And quit ignoring me as if I don't exist. I DO EXIST. I deserve to be noticed...my therapist says so. Field you, AB, Desert, and Granny are the reasons I stay depressed. BTW, I appreciate you monitoring Mack Lyons. Now there is a very depressed brotha.

You are a fool. The ones with the credibility problem in the TM case is Crump and the Martin/Fulton family, who have lied about every single incident in the case since day one - why TM was suspended, his drug history, his history of violence, etc etc etc. Their lies are sickening. Absolutely sickening. And I hope that Zimmerman and his family sues them to infinity and beyond. Everyone who was involved in whipping up racial animosity, who has created this fiction of TM as an innocent 12 yo victim deserves to lose everything.

And the race-baiters and the entire racial grievance industry is what will be on trial if this case ever sees a jury.

Finally, as another governor fights for his political life tonight

Field, Walker was never in a fight for his life. Look at the numbers he won by a HUGE margin. What this should tell you is the MSM did what they always do, lie and mislead you. Even with union goons and bused in get out the vote troops and some neighborhoods having more democratic turnout votes than people living there it was never even close, they just wanted you to think it was. Just like they want you to think it's still close for Obama and that there is more than 1-2% gays in this country.

Just wait till the real financial crisis hits. The temp "glitch" in EBT cards not working in Georgia is what's coming. The tap of majik money is going to be turned off, and people who think they are "entitled" to stuff and swiping a majik money card will feel real pain with no relief.

I agree with you, Field. Shell doesn't need a handout. True free markets allow businesses to fall or stand on the strength of whether or not they can provide a product at a price people are willing to pay, and make a profit. Government has no business with heavy hands, interfering in the market.

However, Dems love to have government pick winners and losers - it's the whole basis of the Obummer Admin. So it surprises me that you would have a problem with it. That would be ..... hypocritical, no?

Really? So why are you offended if you know it wasnt meant to be offensive? How did this negatively impact you and cost you something? What did it cost you? Pride? Ownership of the ebonic term "Nigga"? What expense? Do you get a royalty for using my nigga often?

"However. What initially bothers me is the fact that a "white person" is still trying to use that word, especially when knowing the history and that their actions will likely offend a lot of black people to this day. "

The history and actions? Of what? buying crap music from crap Black artists who coined the term "My Nigga"? You know biggie smalls wasnt around in them slave times so your mind is definitely confused. Why do Blacks use this word so often if it is harmful and cost you something? It does, but you haven't figured out what it costs you yet.

"So why do it? So now, that is the type of audacity, arrogance and insensitivity in which I find to be offensive."

She is pale pal of Jay-Z and Beyonce and was clearly tweeting a picture of her with them saying they was in paradise cleverly using his song title. All you have done is show that some Blacks are nothing but children looking for the next reason to stay permanently outraged and always be the victim. If you are upset by someones use of a word, what a pathetic life you must have.

The real root cause of your anxiety is you are racist and don't like nice pretty white girls with blonde hair and are pissed she is hangin out with Jay-Z and Beyonce instead of a sister like you.

The N-word is firmly entrenched in these mountain people from birth. There's nothing we can do about it. It can't be knocked out of 'em, because I've tried. They keep coming back for more. It's been going on for 4 to 5 centuries. They're a lost cause with their hatred. They're INSANE and the rest of the world's getting just like 'em. You clearly don't get around black folk much. You still didn't answer what "expense" her using the word Nigga was to you.

As for "entitlement" yes a word you will use to death everytime someone calls you on your contradictions. You forgot to call me racist or are you saving that? But just to confirm, Yes I am entitled to say whatever I like. Dont like it? Too bad, you are entitled.

Social Ramifications from some who call themselves "niggas" Ha you really are clueless. Oh no, I wouldnt want to lose social status with any of "my niggas" anything but that please.

No, it's that in your very own words you are a hypocrite with no standards and how dare anyone tell you so. You are pissed that a pretty white girl is hanging out with Jay Z and Beyonce and even saying "Nigga's" ... what else will they take away from you....sob..moan..crying... they must act and speak as I want them to and look at that "lanky-figureless knobby-knees" Vicious jealousy for sure.

I could care less about using "nigga" or anything even close to that and no one forbids me to say anything. You sure do think a lot of yourself.

You feel entitled and proud to be able to call yourself a Nigga? Good for you, gotta have something to teach your children.

"Btw, I love my hair. I can wear it and style it in more ways than you or Gweneth could ever dream up. And I won't ever have to worry about using Licenex vs RID. Enjoy your day."

Good, you should be happy with your hair, nothing wrong with it at all, but you are kind of silly to say you are proud of not being likely to get head lice inferring white girls are more likely. You do realize pets, goats and sheep don't get head lice either because of the hair structure and difficulty for lice to latch onto the hair shaft. If your still proud and loud about this, good feel entitled to it.

OK take care, gotta go ask my neighbor to turn down his rap and let him know you said he is rare, "most black folks don't listen to rap and or use ebonics". I hope he turns it down if I Axe him nice to keep it real the first time, know wut I'm sayin? You feel me? Yo!

The only time when there was a relatively high quality black leadership in America was when America was under the influence of a white bourgeois Christian elite who set decent standards for the whole society including whites and blacks. Black communities and churches (just like white ethnic minority communities) tended to replicate the authoritative moral standards of the larger society. Thus the upright black leaders of the mid-twentieth century were themselves indirect products of a virtuous white majority culture. But as blacks have thrown off white influence and cultural standards (and as whites have cast off their own standards), black public society, as everyone is painfully aware, has become radically cruder and less ethical.

  52. What really convinced me of an inherent, dangerous weakness in black ways of thought, however, was their widespread belief in Afrocentrism and the notion that whites were committing “genocide” against blacks. In September 1989, ABC News did a program on the condition of blacks in America, followed by a special edition of “Nightline” with a panel consisting of several of ABC’s black correspondents and other noted blacks. With the exception of Professor Shelby Steele, these accomplished, successful blacks all endorsed the notion of a white conspiracy to commit “genocide” against blacks. The discovery that it was not just ignorant street people, but successful, articulate black professionals who believed these insane and wicked conspiracy theories, made a devastating impression on me. Indeed, with the exception of the 1992 Los Angeles riots, I was more traumatized by this program than by any other public event in recent history. It shook my former belief that blacks and whites could more or less get along in the same society.

  53. The most extreme form of black conspiracy thinking is the Nation of Islam claim that whites are demons who were created by a mad scientist 5,000 years ago, and who ever since then have robbed blacks of their birthright. Whether blacks believe in that myth, or are just fixated in a general feeling of historic grievance, the notion of their historic victimhood tends to justify in their minds every crime and injustice that they might now commit against whites. Over and over, polls and statements reveal that blacks feel they should not be held to moral standards for the crimes of blacks against whites, because blacks have been the victims of this vast and still unacknowledged evil by whites for several thousands of years. Blacks thus tend to see every issue in purely racialist terms—as we can see when black juries excuse black killers of whites, or when a great majority of blacks say that O.J. Simpson is innocent, or when a high percentage of blacks agree that Colin Ferguson’s mass murder on the Long Island Rail Road was a justified act of rage against white racism. The above attitudes all increasingly suggest that blacks and whites cannot truly live as equal co-citizens in the same society.

  54. Of course, blacks have suffered real historic crimes at the hands of whites. But that does not explain the contemporary, intensifying sense of black grievance, which finds its most flagrant expression in fantasies of white devils and 5,000-year-old conspiracies. Most importantly, the fact that the black feeling of grievance is augmenting, rather than diminishing, as slavery and legal discrimination recede into the distant past, suggests that the grievance has little to do with any actual crimes committed by whites.

That`s why Kanye and Jay-Z were wrong for making that song. What`s we think would happen? They should show more restraint and thought.
