This is why I could never be a [right] wingnut. To me a religious experience would have been sitting front row at a Dennis Brown concert, (may he rest in peace) while sipping on some Stone's Ginger Wine, or making love to Tika Sumpter. Not the [right] wingnut; their idea of a religious experience is something totally different.
"..Shortly after the contentious debt ceiling debate last year, nearly one in five
congressmen took off for week-long informational trips during their summer
recess, most of which were paid for by a pro-Israel lobbying group. The relief
from escaping the toxic air of Washington, D.C., last summer may have been
overwhelming for some of the lawmakers.
Politico
reported that a late-night dip in the Sea of Galilee near the Israeli city
of Tiberias by several GOP freshmen lawmakers and top leadership staff during
that trip led to an FBI probe after reports of drinking and even a bit of nudity
surfaced. Federal officials told CBS News that there is an FBI investigation
into public corruption, but the skinny-dipping incident cited in the report is
ancillary to the larger probe. Those officials also said that Rep. Kevin Yoder,
R-Kan., - who was named in the Politico report - is not the subject of the
federal investigation.
Yoder took off his clothes for the swim, Politico reports, and some of the
other lawmakers partially disrobed, even though families - including one
congressman's daughter - were also apparently swimming at the same time. Sources
told Politico more than 20 people in total took part in the late-night swim."
Oh my! Why did it take a year for this story to come out? Man the main stream media sure is sleeping on the job. I guess Kevin knew that he wasn't in Kansas anymore, so I guess he figured it was time to let his "freak flag flow".
Anyway, some of my republican friends have an explanation for all of this:
"The reasons lawmakers gave Politico for the swim varied: Some said it was a
religious experience (the Bible says the Sea of Galilee is where Jesus walked on
water); others said they wanted to cool off; and still others admitted alcohol
may have guided their decision.
Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va., who did not swim that night, allegedly
scolded the group after learning about the evening, Politico reports, because it
was distracting from the mission of their trip. The FBI probe allegedly ended
after a few questions about what happened that night were answered by a Cantor
staffer. " [Source]
Fellows, Jesus walked on that water, I know that you republicans in Washington believe that you have divine powers, but I don't think you have mastered the walking on water part just yet.
I am going to surprise many of you and not pile on Todd Akin tonight after his Macaca moment. We all know by now the statements made by Mr. Akin regarding the rape of a woman. The thing is, what he is saying is nothing new for certain folks in the GOP, this is the mindset of the cavemen in suits crowd. Akin just got caught thinking out loud.
Now, of course, everyone from Mitt Romney to all the usual wingnut suspects are jumping ship on Akin. Even though Romney's running mate, Paul Ryan, co-sponsored and voted for a bill with the aforementioned Mr. Akin which required women to be "forcibly raped" before they can terminate the pregnancy brought on by their attacker. Yes, Paul Ryan was against abortion in any circumstance. Any. These two men were on the same page, so by condemning Mr. Akin is Mr. Romney also condemning his running mate? Mr. Romney would say no. That's the beauty of Etch A Sketch; it can go either way, and it's always moving.
Finally, if you happen to live in the Northwest United States and you are a member of the Negro race, --or any one of those groups that Aryan supremacist view as a less than human-- you might want to be careful.
"A young couple accused of killing four people in a multistate crime spree last fall have been indicted on federal racketeering charges alleging the rampage was part of a campaign to "purify" and "preserve" the white race, the U.S. Attorney for Oregon, said Friday.
A grand jury handed up the indictment Thursday against David "Joey" Pedersen, 32, and Holly Ann Grigsby, 25, prosecutor Amanda Marshall said in a news release.
"The indictment in this case alleges horrendous crimes were committed as part of defendants' white-supremacist campaign to kidnap and murder targets on the basis of race, color, religion and perceived 'degenerate' conduct," Marshall said.
They are charged in the killing, kidnapping and robbery of four people last fall: Pedersen's father, David "Red" Pedersen, and stepmother, Leslie "DeeDee" Pedersen, on Sept. 26 in Everett, Wash.; Cody Myers, a 19-year-old from Oregon on Oct. 1; and Reginald Clark, 53, of Eureka, Calif., on Oct. 3.
Clark was black and Grigsby allegedly told investigators that Myers, a Christian, was killed because his name sounded Jewish." (h/t to Greg for this story) [Source]
I swear it's tough being a young black man in America these days; if the racist don't get you, the po po or another black man will.

Field, if a group of black Congressmen took a paid trip over to Israel, went out to dinner, had a few drinks then made their way over to the Sea of Galilee and jumped in for a midnight swim - and one of them jumped in buck naked, Republicans would be calling for hearings, blaming President Obama while Tea Baggers and Birthers would be calling it blasphemy.

ReplyDeleteThere was a young man from Kansas
ReplyDeleteWho often went swimming pantless
A few guzzles of gin
Before he stripped and jumped in
Behaving entirely scandalous
Easy for a man to beleeverate that rape does not result in unwanted pregnancy, especially when he bases his beleeveration on faith.
ReplyDeleteReligious folks have been dipping various body parts and orifices into the Sea of Galilee for thousands of years. Why should a silly man from Kansas be singled out for opprobrium?
Todd Akin, poster chile for why the US should have science-based curricula...and impoverish religio-skools.

We would be calling the news because we know black folks can't swim...y'all make good rockfish.
I wonder why the MSM make an issue out of Akin and someone taking a swim but ignores a democrat having sex with a 17 year old boy.
ReplyDeleteToday it was reported that Minnesota male Democrat Kerry Gauthier who is 56 years old reportedly was questioned by police last month where he allegedly met a 17-year-old boy for sex. Yes, Minnesota, the state that brought you such great people as Walter Mondale, Al Franken, Keith Ellison and Jesse Ventura has yet another liberal loon to be ‘proud’ of. What? You say you didn’t hear about this story from the pink slime media? That’s the point of this article!
Field, "I swear it's tough being a young black man in America these days; if the racist don't get you, the po po or another black man will."
ReplyDeleteThis statement is out and out plagerism! Field you know I've been saying, "It's depressing to be a bm in America," ;and "if the Whites don't get you the Blacks will."
I can't believe all the H/Ts you give to others and not ONE bit of recognition to the enormous and magnificient contributions I have made to FN.
Field, this really sucks. It really sucks. It's effing depressing, that's what it is. I'm going to drink my wine and go to bed. This is too got damn much.
depressed Negro
As long as no one had sex in those religious waters then it was a religious experience with Jesus.
ReplyDeleteField, you had better quit messing around with Divine LAW of God.
Nobody knows better the significance of those waters than the Christian GOP. And you have the audacity to criticize them?
You atheist Liberal Dems know NOTHING about God or HIS LAW. So you and the MSM need to STFU.

ReplyDeletePart of our problem is that Akin; Romney/Ryan; constipated conservatives and Re-pugni-cans speak for tens of millions of our friends, neighbors and relatives; myopic troglodytes who desperately and weekly cling to mysticism in the face of empiricism and evolution's undeniable quintessence. Until they die, we must suffer their sincere and conscientious bigotry, misogyny, homophobia and xenophobia.

Hardly. A liberal preacher perhaps. The writer simply employed improved verbiage in select points of sentence structure, repackaging atypical non intellectual thinking. All designed to express his hatred, using ridiculously common liberal buzzwords.
It's the same rant Whitey uses daily, exuding the exact same hatred and intolerance of other views using the exact same name calling.
In simpler terms its a post void of any intellectual value and one that calls others names and announces his hate and revulsion, without a shred of support or reasoning. Example of this certainly being a low brow liberal essentially emoting is their use of this phrase, which is no doubt of little grammatical/intellectual usage other than theatrical effect " evolution's undeniable quintessence" This is intellectual Gobbledygook. The theory of evolution is to him the most perfect empodiment of mankind. Then they proceed to complete the foundation of their vapid post building to a crescendo of name calling, conflicting with the very statement they made on evolution.
If this is the result of liberal education, no wonder so many are delusional in and incabable of critical thinking or creating any semblance or productive logical thought.

Math is like Kryptonite to Moonbats.
ReplyDelete"The official federal debt is $16 trillion. This debt represents 100% of current GDP."
• "The U.S. has passed [the Rogoff and Reinhart*] danger point, and recent U.S. GDP experience conforms to their findings."
Kryptonite to Democrats
You and I know it as math. Monty Pelerin, writing at American Thinker, offers some sobering factoids that highlight how desperate a fiscal situation the United States is in.
• "The official federal debt is $16 trillion. This debt represents 100% of current GDP."
• "The U.S. has passed [the Rogoff and Reinhart*] danger point, and recent U.S. GDP experience conforms to their findings."
• "In addition to the debt of $16 trillion, the Treasury has explicitly guaranteed the debts of certain government agencies [including] Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, ...[the] Postal Service, Amtrak, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation... [and] These shortfalls are likely to be funded by the federal government, although none of these exposures is recognized as federal government debt or obligations."
• "The unfunded liabilities of the federal government are enormous, dwarfing everything else. They arise from promises made to citizens, primarily with respect to Social Security and Medicare. Government maintains that it has no legal liability to honor these promises and hence does not recognize them as debt... Estimates of the present value of these obligations range from $50 trillion to over $200 trillion... This estimate is [as high as] 14 times what government reports as debt ($16 trillion)."
And, most importantly, the "U.S. government has promised its citizens almost four times the entire net worth of the nation
Democrats (and RINOs, to a lesser extent) have spent this country into oblivion. The New Deal, the Fair Deal, the Square Deal, the Great Society, Obamacare: all Utopian, Statist plans that could never work and have never worked in all of human history.
Doesn't it insult your intelligence that Foreign Newspapers report on items that Our Media will not, all to protect a party and Obama? You might mindlessly think it is good, they are on your side, but did you ever wonder what else are you being spoonfed and led by the nose to believe?

I have enjoyed the Republican retreat into full defense mode with the Akin business, the "GOP in the Sea of Galilee" business and the Ryan/Akin link. The assault on women continues but it's now out in the open, front and center and the Republicans can no longer bury that agenda in their nasty little bills and addendums.
ReplyDeleteI love this. I hope they keep it coming.

What retreat? It has exposed liberal hypocrisy yet again.
"Democrats spent $1.5 mil to help Akin win GOP primary"
The conservatives immediately banished him and spoke out against him. Unlike how liberals stick up for the depraved and circle the wagons (Wiener, CBC members, Obama)
But if you want to play the game of one person who says they are liberal defining the entire liberal movement, lets do that....
Lets start with some tax cheats, frauds, and other things liberals say now that we know they define who you are and the entire democratic party. Want to start with Barbara Boxer, Maxine Waters? Frederica, Charlie Rangel?, Bill Maher...oh the list is endless. you. Liberals trying to show morals is comical at this point.
Silly liberals.
Hey, by the way California is really taking a beating financially, seems like those policies are destroying the state. Huge deficits, crime and what not. Will you still be liberal when your city goes bankrupt? Did you know that California just borrowed hundred of millions to give to people for their mortgages, they got the money taken from people who did the right thing and managed their finances from the rest of the U.S and gave it to those who did not.
Viva la revolucion. I guess liberals never think, what happens if we really win, then what? There will always be someone to bail us out, someone we can protest to take care of the problem, someone we can goad, name call, attack into fixing the mess....will there be? Will there?
ReplyDelete(Politico) A number of local chapters of the National Organization for Women are denouncing the DNC convention rules, saying that they unfairly exclude mothers with young children.
“Women are the key to a Democratic victory, and sometimes, children are the key to women. It’s both right and smart for the Democratic Convention to behave as if children exist,” activist Gloria Steinem said in a release.
The group of southern California chapters of NOW are pointing to the lack of childcare at the conventions, as well as the difficulty female delegates have in bringing children to the convention floor. According to the activists, the DNC is requiring young children to have credentials to come onto the convention floor with their parents.
“Moms with young children 6 years of age and under who cannot be left at home, some of whom are breastfeeding, are relegated to second-class status within the Democratic Convention, unable to participate as a delegate due to antiquated policies and inadequate accommodations that were apparently in place before Women’s suffrage,” Susie Shannon, a delegate to the 2012 DNC Convention.
“The DNC requires children and babies to have a credential to enter the Convention, and then denies these credential requests from moms. The DNC credentialing process is being used as a tool to prevent mothers from participating at the Convention and is nothing short of discriminatory,” said Lindsey Horvath, president of the Hollywood NOW.
Why do Democrats hate women? And, why are women, children, and babies required to *gasp* show their papers? This is obviously a discriminatory policy designed to intimidate those women who want to attend the DNC, and reducing them to servants of the patriarchy. In fact, a “standard government ID” is required for attendance for all!
The DNC has stated that there is a list of private childcare companies available. For a fee. Because Dems aren’t willing to use their own money.
What retreat? What retreat?
ReplyDeleteThe dumbfucker is begging on the airwaves for forgiveness.
Of course the liberals want to keep him in the spotlight. That's good politics (for them).
The conservatives want him to go away, because he has further burnished their already rotten, dead to God image. That's good politics (for them).
Don't get mad, stupid anonymous, because people have learned to play the games the CONservatives came up with.
I really don't get why someone posted the info on the Dem-what does that have to do with the Skinny-dipping? I'm sure you don't want to talk about the numerous GOP sex scandals! The only difference is that when the GOP are caught, the stay in office-doesn't matter gender, age, spending of taxpayer dollars, they keep their jobs and proudly go to church on Sunday.

ReplyDeleteField said, "I am going to have to put an NC rating on the comments section. My goodness!"
ReplyDeleteDo you mean NC-17 rating or Noise Criteria rating? Please be more specific.
Dear Mr Field, I am appalled at the unwarranted attacks on Atkin, a Republican, for using the term "Legitimate Rape". IMO, all of these attacks on him are completely uncalled for. Everyone knows what that term means which is perfectly legitimate. It means if you are married you have the right to sex even if your wife doesn't want to. I mean, come on...this has been the rule for centuries in America.
ReplyDeleteNOW, you so-called immoral Liberals want to want to roll back before the rule came into being ahead of its time? GTFOH. Nobody wants to go back that far.
Also, Republicans have a right to submerge their bodies in the religious waters that Christ walked on.
FYI: Republicans are religious upright Christians that you depraved atheistic Liberals will never be. You are just jealous that God is on the side of the GOP. SMH.
Don't talk about the looming collapse of the American economy, the unsustainable levels of debt, the intentional rending apart of society along lines of class, gender, and race for politcal benefit. Let's talk about rape.
ReplyDeleteI agree with President Obama, there's nothing wrong with rape.
ReplyDeleteChildren do not belong on the convention floor & should not be permitted there. The floor is crowded & confusing. Children are permitted in the spectator galleries. Breast-bursing mothers do not take their babies to work. They provide child caregivers with breast milk.
ReplyDeleteKerry Gauthier is hardly representative of elected politicians from either party. Minnesota will deal him most severely.
