The day after Christmas.

Still getting over my Christmas Day hangover. No drama in the field's life. Other than my sister- in- law crying over Michael Ealy's new marital status, the fam is all good and enjoying the season.

So a few stories have me shaking my head as we bring 2012 to a close.

The first one is this dude in Western New York who killed two firefighters and his sister after setting his house on fire.

Now here is the thing, dude was back on the streets after killing his grandmother with a hammer back in the day. Let me repeat that: He killed his grandmother with a hammer! How do you kill your grandma with a hammer and not get life without parole? And now we are finding out that my man used the same type of rifle that was used in the Newtown, Connecticut massacre.

"A convicted killer, who shot dead two firefighters with a Bushmaster assault rifle after leading them into an ambush when they responded to a house fire he set in Western New York, left behind a typewritten note saying he wanted to "do what I like doing best, killing people," police said.

William Spengler, 62, set his home and a car on fire early Monday morning with the intention of setting a trap to kill firefighters and to see "how much of the neighborhood I can burn down," according to the note he wrote and which police found at the scene. The note did not give a reason for his actions."  [Source]

Then there was Dr. Cornel West saying that "politicians only talk gun control when vanilla people get shot". Now that's a conversation starter for your ass.

Dr. Cornel West, who has long been a vocal critic of the plutocrats and oligarchs controlling the beltway, has never shied away from being politically incorrect, and he didn’t start with the tragic massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Speaking candidly on the Smiley & West Show, which he co-hosts with his close friend and adviser, Tavis Smiley, West said that though he’s glad that celebrities and politicians are finally beginning to call urgent attention to the national issue of gun control, it’s a shame that horror had to affect the “vanilla side of town” for it to happen:
“We can’t just shed tears for those on the vanilla side of town,” West said, “they are precious, but they are no less or more precious than our poor brothers and sisters on Indian reservations (who are killing each other) or be they black or brown or what have you.”

“But it’s a good thing that we now have a discussion on gun control. We need one on drone control,” he continued, “not a peep, not a mumbling word when black folk get shot. But now, Newtown, Connecticut, vanilla side — low and behold we got a major conversation. That’s wonderful. Each life is precious but it just upsets me when we’re so deferential.”

This is not the first time that West has made mention of the melanin-lite side of the tracks.

Speaking on the murder of 18-year-old Ramarley Graham, who was chased by NYPD officers to his grandmother’s home, where they kicked in her door and gunned him down in an upstairs bathroom, West said that the “cowardly” President Barack Obama would not dare be silent on that kind of tragedy in the White community.
If the same thing happened on the vanilla side of town, among the upper-middle class white brothers and sisters, there would be a major outrage and in fact we’d probably get some comment from the White House, we’d get comments from the governor. We’d get comments not just from the mayor, but from a whole wave of people who for the most part are silent about these things. And it’s just sad and ridiculous that we have to deal with this kind of double standard.
As previously reported by NewsOne, Dr. West made waves earlier this year when he called Obama a “Rockefeller Republican in Blackface.”
President Obama immediately held a solemn press conference, during which he seemed on the verge of tears, following the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut. Twenty-year-old Adam Lanza, shot his mother in the head while she slept in her bed in the wealthy enclave, drove her car to Sandy Hook Elementary School, slaughtered 20 children and 6 adults at close range, and then killed himself as law enforcement closed in on him.

First Lady Michele Obama penned an open letter to the victims’ families." [Source]

Yes Dr. West, we all understand the "pecking order" here in America when it comes to lives. But honestly, if this tragic incident is what it takes to start a serious conversation about gun control in this country, I am not going to trip over the double standard.

Finally, some of you are upset about Spike Lee calling out the new movie, "Django Unchained" for being "disrespectful" to our ancestors.

"Director Spike Lee, who has had a Black woman play a crackhead, a Black man get drunk and kill his wife and a Black teenager have a threesome with White women, says that he won’t be watching the Quentin Tarantino film ‘Django Unchained’ because it’s disrespectful to his ancestors, reports Essence.com."

This is interesting. But I haven't seen the movie, so I will withhold judgement until then.

Finally, let this be a lesson to all you news anchors who want to get all cute and try to use visuals to make a point.

"WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia police say they are investigating an incident in which NBC News journalist David Gregory displayed what he described as a high-capacity ammunition magazine on "Meet the Press."
Gun laws in the nation's capital generally restrict the possession of high-capacity magazines, regardless of whether the device is attached to a firearm. Gregory held up the magazine as a prop for Sunday's segment, apparently to make a point during an interview, even though D.C. police say NBC had already been advised not to use it in the show.

"NBC contacted (the Metropolitan Police Department) inquiring if they could utilize a high capacity magazine for their segment. NBC was informed that possession of a high capacity magazine is not permissible and their request was denied. This matter is currently being investigated," police spokeswoman Gwendolyn Crump said in a written statement. She declined to comment further.

While interviewing National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre for Sunday's program, Gregory held up an object that he said was a magazine that could hold 30 rounds." [Source]

Oh lawd! I sure hope that the District police won't throw David Gregory in the slammer. That dude couldn't last one night in there. If they do lock him up, maybe we will get lucky and they will keep him all day Sunday. I am getting tired of these Sunday talk shows.

It's true. Not about who was killed but also who did the killing. What if a black man had done this?

    From the previous thread:

Anon, "Next year I am going to start calling out some of you Leftist FN Negroes AND Cali Whites on your shit. You have been getting it too easy from these weak ass trolls of 2012. I just saw DJango and the character that Samuel Jackson played inspired me to stand up and be counted as the "true" Field Negro. The man reminded me of myself on FN. That is, he was not like the rest of those FN Negroes still on the plantation like the rest of you FN Negroes bowing to the Dem White masters.

There is a "new" inspired DJango Stormfront, and it is a Black Stormfront! Yeah, yeah...the world is changing. Anyway, just letting you FN Negroes know ahead of time of what's to come in 2013--because you folks haven't the slightest idea of what a "true" Field Negro is all about.

Field, prepare for the "1st Coming". HAPPY NEW YEAR, BROTHER."
    ----------------------------------
There WILL be a "new Negro" rising up out of the ashes to stand tall like Cornel West and Tavis Smiley. None of this House Negro shit played by Samuel Jackson...although he should win an Oscar for his role.

Of course, a lot of you FN Negroes are Obamaholics who want to be like Obama who often bows at the feet of the white masters much like your ancestors did. I know...it's in your blood to hate yourselves.

Field, you have said the same thing that Cornel has said in your post. Go back and read it. Let's face it. You don't like Cornel and Tavis because they "dared" to hold Obama's White loving feet to the fire.

To this day, you have said not ONE word about how Obama has ignored us and how he has treated us. It's no wonder that you are an Obamaholic. You should go see DJANGO. You will "love" the house nigger that Samuel Jackson plays. He reminded me of Obama, you and the rest of your FN disciples who shine Obama's boots.

Sounds like he is waiting for the Vanilla superman to come and fix the broken chocolate side of town.

As if taking away guns (which will never happen) would do anything to impact the chocolate side who has illegal guns right now, from doing anything.

The only thing that would happen is the vanilla side would as always find another way to protect themselves and move away leaving more and more failed chocolate cities without Vanilla building, developments and taxes and where they kill each other with all the illegal guns coated in chocolate - like they do now.

Dear Mr Field, your post titled "The Most Dangerous Man in America" featured Piers Morgan as that man.

To bring you and your readers up to date, there has been a growing list into the thousands to have Mr Piers Morgan deported.

I am sure daily prolific reader such as yourself is aware of this. However, did you know that there is a growing list into the thousands in the UK that doesn't want Piers Morgan to return? They don't want him!

Field, in all seriously, what is going to happen to this poor man if both the USA and the UK doesn't want him?

Have you heard from the Purple Cow about 'why' his fellow countrymen don't want Piers back in England?

My Lord, Field. What is going to happen to him? He's such a fine chap.

What's the problem with "Django Unchained"? For all I know there really was a guy like that. Weirder things have happened. I went through 7th grade Texas history class and never knew til later that the "Yellow Rose of Texas" was a mulatto (using the terms of the time) prostitute from the South who made a name for herself in New York and then came to Texas where she hung out with Santa Ana and helped Texas break away from Mexico. Sorry we repaid the favor by joining the Confederacy. Sam Houston totally opposed that.

There is probably all kinds of badass 19th century black history to tell

Banning guns does not reduce violent crime. This is not an opinion, but a well-established fact. Gun control is about control, but not controlling crime. It is about tyranny, which is why media leftists will stoop even to exploiting dead children in their attempts to promote it.

If you look at the nation's homicide figures, it's obvious that each day there's almost TWO Newtowns worth of murders.

If you break down the numbers, you find that blacks (12% of the population), as we know, commit somewhat more than 50% of the killings.

So, in relative terms, that daily Newtown slaughter hits blacks hardest.

The slaughter of blacks by blacks doesn't seem to matter to blacks. However, if there were a mass murder in a school of black students and the killer were black, there'd be plenty of sympathy from whites. However, it would be a kind of resigned sympathy, showing that we know how bad the murder problem is without the mass killing.

You are exactly right. The Constitution will protect you and your guns. However, if you crazy fucks keep doing mass killings of innocent white kids, at all White schools, White America will be coming after your murderous stupid ass.

You are also right about Blacks. Everyone knows that is nothing new. It is to be expected by Whites and by Blacks as well. Even Field has acknowledged that by his post.

Only Cornel West and Tavis Smiley, the two outspoken Negroes whom Field obviously abhors, are strong and committed to truth and justice have the heart to stand up, and speak up for Black America.

The painful and obvious truth is that most Negroes like Field, PilotX, and others like them hate fearless Negroes like West and Smiley who speak up. It's always been that way in the black race...please go see DJANGO, and note Samuiel Jackson's role in that movie. He is the epitome of 'the common Negro in the black race. Field and a lot of his FN followers are no different.

MLK was loathed by millions of Negroes like Field. Malcolm X was feared by millions of Negroes with a mentality like Field. The Panthers were infiltrated by House Negroes with the mentality of Field and Samuel Jackson's character to create mistrust and adversity to destroy them for Hoover and the FBI.

House Negroes like Samuel Jackson in DJANGO, Field, PilotX, and millions of other Negroes love other house Negroes like our President who will shed tears for murderous-tragedies in White America like Newtown, CT--but will remain silent and ignore the daily murders in Black America. AND, Mr Field has the audacity to put down Cornel West for noticing this very important detail about our BLACK PRESIDENT BY THE NAME OF BARACK OBAMA.

Field, your Killadelphia counter is short by two more black lives. But don't worry, we Negroes have never quite attained "full human" status in America anyway. Folks like you, Obama and White America sanction that painful truth about us 'niggas' anyway.

Make sure you go to see DJANGO. You'll love Samuel Jackson, and literally hate DJANGO. Why? Because you are that kind of Negro.

    Mr.Field:

Although we are all entitled to our own opinions, it is my belief that sometimes we tend to go a bit overboard in our explanation and criticisms of others.

Calling the President a coward is not only disrespectful but also a cowardly act by the person making the statement, because inside they know that there would not be a response.

While Mr. West’s often criticizes the President, I wonder what is really behind his stinging remarks; both Mr. West and Mr. Smiley, because even prior to the President’s election.

If Smiley and West really want to criticize, maybe they should look at some of the local politicians, who not since Adam Clayton Powell have accomplished 1/10th of what he accomplished, especially during his time dealing with education.
The disrespect that has been shown to this President, is unprecedented; and why? Not since Andrew Johnson, and Harry Truman has there been such animosity and they were white.

Because of your hatred of the President, it has clouded your vision and caused you be blinded to what was written.

But on the other hand I found that your need for name calling will never allow you to see the stupidity of your answers.

First: I started off by saying that everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Second: Intelligent people learn to critize intelligenty, without ranker and disrespect; name calling is not the way to obtain solutions, it only creates distain
    for the caller. It's childish.

Third: I offered a small solution,by saying that looking at this President and thinking he could solve all the problems of the community, maybe we should be looking at those local politicians
who have been in office for years and yet the problems still exist.

Read, and try to understand and hopefully we can find some solutions to ills of our communities. Because until the country realizes that violance, like drugs are not just the property of our community but also in those socalled "nice communities" as well.

Why are black critics of Django trying to revise history? The "N" word was used freely and a whole lot during slavery. In fact, it lingered into the Jim Crow era. It’s still used at the drop of a hat today. Blacks just don’t want white folks saying it—double standard. Whites feel the same about the word “cracker” or “ofay.” Both Black and whites need to quit!

Let’s keep it real! It was a movie about slavery—just a movie. That was how it was back then. On the census Blacks had no names. Blacks were referred to as male or female and recorded in inventory books with massas' livestock.

Our ancestors were a strong and resilient people. They survived horrible sadistic conditions. Native Americans weren’t as fortunate. They were annihilated. Because of our ancestor’s resilience, we as Black people are here alive today. Knowing that part of our history should make a lot of Black people realize that they can survive and make it too.

Now, if only some of them would wake up and stop killing their own people, belittling their own; start standing together as one people we could get more accomplished.

    Bye!
