"The times they are a changing."

Let me start this post by welcoming my home state of Pistolvania to the 21st Century.

Good for Judge John Jones, III, a Bush appointee, (ouch) for ruling that Pistolvania's ban on same sex marriage is unconstitutional. And good for Kathleen Kane, our democratic attorney general, for not defending it.

"The issue we resolve today is a divisive one. Some of our citizens are made deeply uncomfortable by the notion of same-sex marriage. However, that same-sex marriage causes discomfort in some does not make its prohibition constitutional,"

"Today, in Pennsylvania, the Constitution prevailed. Inequality in any form is unacceptable and it has never stood the test of time," Kane said in a statement. "I have remained steadfast in my decision not to defend Pennsylvania's Defense of Marriage Act because I made a legal determination as to the unconstitutionality of this law."

Poor "Mr. Family Values", Rick Santorum, he actually supported the Judge who made this ruling.  What's a poor holier- than- thou politician to do?

"Attorneys Jones and Conner are highly qualified to assume the important role of Judge and the duty of protecting the Constitution and ensuring the effective operation of our judicial system,” Santorum said. “Since the onset of the war against terrorism, our federal judiciary has taken on an even higher level of importance, and it is imperative that we provide our courts with the resources necessary to enforce the rule of law. These judgeships are vital to our national security goals, and I urge my colleagues to work with the President to fill these vacancies in a timely manner."

This is what happens when you let politics trump your conscience Mr. Santorum.
As a man of faith *eye roll* this decision cannot sit well with you, and yet you supported this very Judge because he was sent up by your political gang.

“The reason the left has gone after same-sex marriage is because it’s a two-fer,” Santorum said. “When you redefine marriage, you cheapen marriage. You make it into something less valuable, less special … [and] it is a sure bet that will undermine faith.” [Source]

Oh my! It looks like the faithful in Pistolvania just got more to worry about.

Just one more state that poor Adam Carolla has to stay away from.

I heard Oregon recently had their ban overturned. Who knows? Maybe Missouri will end their ban and Mr. Sam can get married too?

Why are the conservatives always so focused on the LGBT stuff? Don't they got better stuff to yell at clouds about/spend thousands of their money on?

Now watch, Field. I give you 20 posts before an anon posts a gay slur.

brother Field, I want you to know that faith keeps my depression at bay.

Now, Santorum is a man of faith too. And I resent you rolling your eyes at him as if he were the devil.

Santorum has always been a model of faith, which America needs a lot of.

Mr Field here's an excellent tip for all brothers and sisters on how to handle 'nonsense' when confronted with it.

I would love to see you do this to QLB:

  6. Mr. Santorum might be a man of faith but he was stealing from the people of Pennsylvania.

Google his name and home schooling.

Now, I do know that clarity of thought and logical consistency are not qualities embraced by Leftists and racial grievance advocates, but, FN, would you please provide an argument in favor of Gay "marriage" that cannot be employed to argue in favor of polygamy or incestious marriage?

    I will wait.

Bad news for the mythical brown/black solidarity coalition-

    More Hispanics Declaring Themselves White

Looks like whites will always be the majority-even when their not.

  9. Field Carolla was right in saying the LGBT movement are like a Mafia .....

Black people should look at the movement as an example of what money power and influence can do......

They own and control Hollywood and the media....They have now moved onto the political realm and started infiltrating and influencing for their collective goals....

Perfect example of how Black First is supposed to work......

Wait no longer, I think we can handle that no problem.

Gay and Lesbian marriage should be honoured and respected because it is an expression of love between two people, that has no danger of leading to the birth of children with genetic defects.

  11. Well said PC. But as u know some of our right leaning friends do not have a problem with "incestuous" unions.

As for polygamy, I am not arguing against it. If those folks love each other and can handle the dynamics of such a household I say go for it.

    Any other questions?

Any posts about the VA scandal coming up?

You stated you support the troops when I made the comment about no mention of Veterans Day on democrat blogs.

Show your support for the troops, speak out on the VA scandal.

Or protect Obama and go crickets.

  13. The Obama administration has quietly adjusted key provisions of its signature healthcare law to potentially make billions of additional taxpayer dollars available to the insurance industry if companies providing coverage through the Affordable Care Act lose money.

Another bailout for companies making political donations to democrats.

When do Americans get a bail out?

Didn't Obama promise Obamacare was going to, never mind.

You do realize that problem with the VA goes back to the JFK administration, right? And that Obama doubled funding? And that republicans in congress voted to cut funding for the agency? And that obama cut the back log and

Did Obama delete records from the VA computer to prove he was making improvements in the system, of course not. Did he send an email telling staff to postpone appointments so the media would write stories about his administration hitting milestones, definitely not.
For an issue he said many times was important to him Obama sure dropped the ball for some reason.

Think back to the bush years...
"Bush is the president, the buck stops with him."

Didn't Obama take credit for almost ending the backlog?
The Obama administration has hit a milestone of sorts: For the the first time, It ends the year with a smaller number of veterans claims than it had at the start.

The Department of Veteran Affairs says it is on track to end the claims backlog entirely "sometime in 2015," reports Stars and Stripes.

President Obama has made eliminating the VA backlog a top priority.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/theoval/2013/12/30/obama-department-of-veterans-affairs-backlog-shinseki/4248257/

You do realize that problem with the VA goes back to the JFK administration, right?

    Another myth.

Do you really believe the federal government is so stupid they would take over healthcare (Obamacare) if they couldn't first treat veterans with dignity, respect and decent healthcare they were promised?

You have a very low opinion of government.

Imagine if your correct, VA problems for decades. And now the same government has taken over healthcare for everyone else before they successfully fixed the VA healthcare.
If that was a SyFy movie Obamanado, no one would believe it.

Bill, I must admit that you are brilliant. You expose any ridiculous comment Field throws at you. I don't know why he keeps going back for more. Must be because he is a frustrated racist who can't seem to defeat a wm.

The more he tries the worse he looks. It's embarrassing.

I was actually talking about the fact that you allowed your Trolls to move the conversation away from your original post.....

Plus the fact that you had NO COMMENT about what I posted earlier.....

The LGBT movement IS like the Mafia ....and Black Folks could take a page right outta that playbook to start moving things around.

Its obvious they have the media...and Now they are moving on to BUYING the politicians....

But you go ahead , and Defend O-Bomber from the latest dust up... LOL
