Would you like to be my neighbor?

I live on the East Coast of the United States, but I am not one of those people who happens to believe that racism is exclusive to the South or Southwest.

This is why the story about a group of white supremacists setting up shop right next door does not surprise me.

A white supremacist group who call themselves "Advanced White Society" now make their national headquarters in Birmingham, New Jersey. (As if New Jersey doesn't have a bad enough national reputation.) Birmingham is a very small town, I think that there are 33 people living there. (One of them- poor person- happens to be black.)

This creates an interesting dilemma for the political types of Burlington County where the township of Birmingham is located. They want the group out, but if they (AWS) have broken no laws, and are not being a nuisance to their neighbors, they, like everyone else, have every right to be there.

New Jersey, like so many other Northern states, attracts a lot of these hate groups, because racism and ignorance does not have any specific geographical boundary or a preference for a particular region.

The good news is that these groups are declining nationally in numbers. The bad news is why they happen to be declining according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.

"The highest number of hate groups were found in California (77), Texas (57) and Florida (58).

Although the SPLC has documented a decline in the number of groups in existence throughout the country this year, it has also measured a “disturbing dynamic at play,” according to Potok.

“At the same time that the number of extremist groups is dropping, there is more mainstream acceptance of radical-right ideas,”

It makes sense; the more mainstream these groups become the less there is a need for them to organize under a more radical and extreme umbrella.

Why join groups like the Klan and the aforementioned Advanced White Society when you can find like minded people who are better organized and have more funding in groups like the Tea Party?

A white segregationist group that calls itself the Advanced White Society lists its national headquarters as Birmingham, N.J., a woodsy, little-known hamlet on the edge of Pemberton Township.
The Burlington County community had 33 residents, including one African American and one Latino, in 2010, according to a U.S. Census report. It has its own post office and is also home to a chemical plant and a cabinetmaking business. The Fort Dix military base is several miles down the road.
The Advanced White Society is one of five active hate groups in Burlington County, according to the Southern Poverty

Brother Field, do you know there are brothers and sisters in the Tea Party? Explain yourself.

And I read in one of your links that California had more hate groups in it than any state in America. Brother Field, I live in CA.

The Bay Area is right up there with Mississippi and Alabama, vying to be the racist capital of America.

You would think with the LGBT's dominance around here there would be acceptance of ALL people of all races. Not so. Just goes to show Whites are Whites no matter what their gender preference is.

Once again you have managed to depress the shit out of me for another night....this shit has got to quit.

Dear Mr Field, in reviewing your map of hate groups across America, I noticed there were NONE in North Dakota. That means N. Dakota is a safe place for Blacks to move to.

In fact, I'd say you could own the state if every soul brother and sister were to move there. I don't think there would be much pushback from Whites if you moved there.

Anyway, just a thought...always looking out for you.:)

  10. THIS WOULD BE FUNNY IF NOT FOR THE LAMENESS.

Despite leftwing fearmongering-the amount of hate/extremist groups are actually decreasing.

You would think the left would be cheering the news.

Nope. See this hurts fundraising efforts of the southern poverty pimps, scares democrats and has the grievance industry in a panic.

So they put the fields to work.

They all collectively say the reason for the drop is they have all joined the republican party and the tea party.

They offer no proof, no examples, no names.

Really field. If you want to keep scaring black folks, just tell them republicans are planning on putting voting booths in haunted houses.

Well, I'm open to moving to N Dakota if most of my depressed people are willing to do so. I am getting happy at the thought.

Just think. We could set up our own little country and put "Black First" for a change. PX, think about it. You could start your own airlines there.

We could even change the name to the State of FN. Any Whites wanting to cross the state line would have to pay a heavy tariff. N. Dakota could be the next Black Wall Street.

What a great idea. My depression is lifting.

Eh, not really true. There are hate groups throughout the U.S., but there are definitely higher concentrations in some areas than others. Go look at SPLCs count of hate groups, and then look at them in per capita terms, and you'll see that places like South Carolina have way more organized racist knuckledraggers than, say, Vermont or Iowa or Oregon.

And yes, it makes perfect sense that folks wouldn't be bothering to join white power groups when the GOP is increasingly just one big white power group. When you've got the 2012 Republican VP candidate saying "inner-city men" are all a bunch of bum-ass losers, who really needs the Klan?

    -----

Radical left ideas that are mainstream:

    1. The Constitution is whatever a federal judge says it is. Expressions of the people's sovereignty as in the passage of Propositions by ballot, can be nullified through the political decisions of an appointed judge.

    2. The Commerce clause can be used as justification for the right of Congress to control every aspect of the lives of American citizens. You can now be compelled by law to purchase any product that Congress decrees you must.

    3. There is no right to equal protection under the law. By the whim of whoever is in power and based on their perception of past injustices or differential outcomes, as well as their vision of what they want society to be, the government can establish various protected classes that receive special privileges and protections under the law, and that persons outside of these protected classes may be discriminated against and punished by the law.

    4. Rather than pursue the established protocol for amending the Constitution, the government can pursue the disarmament of the citizenry through overt legislation, tangential regulation, and covert interference in the ability for gun manufacturers and consumers to engage in business.

    5. The first amendment, which specifically forbids the federal government from establishing a state religion or interfering with the practice of religion, is used to interfere with the practice of religion by prohibiting its expression in the public sphere.

    6. The purpose of the government is no longer to protect the rights of individuals by just administration of the law, but to redistribute wealth from the unfavored to the favored in the name of radical equalitarianism, which holds that any difference in circumstance is grounds for governmental coercion.

    7. The Executive Branch has now assumed the right to create law rather than be constrained to its Constitutional duty to execute laws passed by Congress. It has claimed the right to assign citizenship and the full benefits that go with it to any and all persons it wishes to. It has also asserted its right not to enforce existing laws that it disagrees with.

    8. The purpose of the media is to present government priorities as popular, and to defend the government from criticism.

    9. The purpose of government funded science is to present government priorities as truth, and to facilitate government directives.

    10. The purpose of government funded education is to present government priorities as reality, and to facilitate social engineering through indoctrination.

    11. All three of the branches of Federal Government are now operating outside the limits of authority granted by the Constitution. The people are no longer sovereign, instead all power is vested in a elite that asserts the right to decide what is best for the masses in the name of Marxist principles of Fairness, when in truth all decisions are made based on what is best for the elite. Because that's how Marxism rolls.

You will be told what to do from birth through death and you'd better learn to like it. I hope you also all like beans, because, unless you went to Harvard, that's what's for dinner in Our Glorious Socialist Future.

You know I wonder did he get along with Miles jr. and the others when he played for them. He made a living playing an instrument behind a very successful black singing group. Or did he think that they shouldn't have made more money then he did. I dunno. But, I do wonder about it.

The "right" that refused to strike down the Obamacare mandatory purchase requirement?

This is a remarkably uninformed statement, especially coming on the day yet another federal judge overturned yet another popularly-determined gay marriage ban.

Still pushing the Racism angle huh???

This push for the dominant White Society to LIKE US... is just Tom foolery....

Ohhh Nooo the SPLC said theres another hate group....
    Ohhh my....LOL

They also label Farrakhan , and the New Black Panthers as a Hate group....

This kind of post leaves you continuously arguing with the likes of QLB, Kinky , and Bill about why Whites feel Blacks are a lower class of people...

Once again... "White Power" speaks via MONEY.....
    not Teeny Tiny Hate Groups...

A prime example of Money lever...aged correctly..

Our Plump Soprano Type Gov Chris Crispy... Was speaking this past Sunday at the Behest of Sheldon Anderson ... From NJ Politics

AND CHRISTY IS A LONG SHOT.... 2016 Hopeful

"With a billionaire campaign donor looking on, Gov. Chris Christie tonight delivered a hawkish foreign policy speech that included references to former President Ronald Reagan, lamentations of the state of American world leadership and a call to “nominate” someone to change course.

“America is no longer sending clear signals to the world. Consistent signals,” Christie said in a 16-minute speech before a crowd of 700 at the Champions of Jewish Values International Awards Gala in New York. “Signals like the ones Ronald Reagan sent when he was president as to who our friends are, and we will stand with them without a doubt, and who our enemies are, who we will oppose regardless of the cost.”

Looking on was casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, who reportedly pumped $100 million into helping Republicans in the 2012 presidential election, and who is being heavily courted by Republican 2016 hopefuls, including Christie."

The Southern Poverty Law Center....hmmmm....did you know, FN, that the FBI dumped the Southern Poverty Law Center as a resource. Yes, the FBI did that. You can read about it here:

    http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/03/26/FBI-Dumps-Southern-Poverty-Law-Center

And, as to hate groups, how about these:

    Nation Of Islam

    New Black Panther Party

    Nation of Yahweh

The Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ

    Tribu Ka, Génération Kémi Séba

    United Nuwaubian Nation of Moors

Oh, and let us not list the Black Gangs (to numerous to list anyway).

Or the Current Administration in Washington (e.g. Eric "My People" Holder as an example).
