Memo to FOX: There is nothing funny about domestic violence.

I have always said this, but it should be repeated: The folks over at FOX VIEWS consider black people to be less than human.

Do you think, for a moment, if that was Tobey Gerhart and his "All American" girlfriend on that elevator in Atlantic City that night, that FOX VIEWS would be making fun of the incident? It's a rhetorical question. Of course not.

I could give example after example of FOX VIEWS and their Negro problem. So I am sure that no one would be surprised to know that less than 2% of FOX viewers are black.

So anyway, here is the latest example of FOX being FOX that has me posting about them tonight:

"On Monday after video was released of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice punching his wife in an elevator.

Without giving many details about the assault, the hosts quickly began comparing the incident to other cases of domestic violence among celebrities. But rather than putting any kind of blame on the abuser, the co-hosts pointed the finger at the women.

"She still married him!" Steve Doocy said of Rice's wife, Janay Palmer.
"Rihanna went back to Chris Brown right after [he assaulted her]," Brian Kilmeade said. "A lot of people thought that was a terrible message."

Doocy compared the video to the elevator incident between Jay Z and Solange. To which Kilmeade then-- you guessed it-- defended Jay Z for not hitting back.
"I think the message is, take the stairs," Kilmeade concluded.

No. That's really not the message.

Doocy then chimed in once more.

"The message is, when you're in an elevator, there's a camera."
Nope. Still not the message." [Source]

Remember that video of the dog getting abused on an elevator by that CEO?

Well guess what? The folks over at FOX didn't think that was funny. But then, that was a dog; not a black woman.

Finally, I am glad that the NFL and the Baltimore Ravens came to their senses and gave Ray Rice the punishment that he deserves. I blogged about this earlier, and I was outraged then.

It should not have taken a video from TMZ to make everyone involved realize what a horrendous act Ray Rice committed with his then fiancé.

"We requested from law enforcement any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator. That video was not made available to us and no one in our office has seen it until today," the league said in a statement released to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport."

To be continued.

Domestic violence is the least of your worries. There were 8 homicides over the weekend in Chicago, with African Americans predominating. Score for the month of September so far is 11 fatalities. Aren't you the least bit embarrassed by this?

Mess with a bull, you might get the horns.

I could tell after she knocked herself out on the elevator rail Rice's reaction was annoyance. That woman, I bet, had been a drunk pain in the ass all night.

I wouldn't fight a guy his size, not even with a knife...now a pistol, well, I just might.

Field, re:violence...why do Negroes do the same old violence again and again? They have no creativity.

I agree with QLB when it comes to IQ violence averages, WHITES are by far the most creative. Just reading about what this wm did to his girlfriend's 2-yr old son is highly creative.

QLB should be pleased and proud. That redneck is his kind of guy:

Why should 'I' be embarrassed? 'I' did not kill anyone. I am not responsible for the Chicago killings.

Contrary to racists' opinions one Black's action doesn't indict the entire race. Like Whites, we are also individuals. Some are good and some not so good, and some are bad.

The only difference, is Whites like QLB go beyond 'bad'. He is pure evil. But this is 'America'. EVIL rules America.

Aren't you embarrassed? Of course not. EVIL is never embarrassed.

Dear Brother Field, the following video from the NO SPIN ZONE on the FACTOR reveals that Jorge Ramos is standing up for the killing of TM and Michael Brown.

Brother Field, why don't you do what Jorge did? Call up O'Reilly and go on the FACTOR to debate him about his racist stance?

It would be uplifting to all Blacks to see you defeat O'Reilly. For me, it would be a "depression killer".

Whenever depression threatened me, all I would have to do is think about that day when you slam dunked Bill O'Reilly about racism.

There is no question the video would go viral and everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, would know you as a champion. Please consider doint this.

One added benefit: Republican Bill on your blog would have to bow down and kiss your feet (or ass, if you prefer).

  7. Another example of the white man imposing his cultural standards on the black man. What business is it to the NFL how a player handles his woman?

On the positive side, I bet Ray Rice doesn't have to worry about that bitch mouthing off in an elevator again.

This has nothing to do with a black man hitting a black woman. White men hit black women all through slavery and worse and????????? Black folks get shot down all the damn time in Chiraq and????? White men under the guise of "cops" shoot black men like they're hunting deer. Mr. Rice was making too much money. Getting caught knocking out his now wife will put an end to that. Mr. Rice is NOT THE ONLY MAN rich or poor that punches and sometimes kills his woman. Women right now all over the world are being SLAUGHTERED by men. Everybody get on up off the soapbox. Brother, as bm we must contain ourselves and not show anger towards the wm. He is used to docile Blacks, not Blacks outraged for White cops murdering their sons, brothers, and husbands.

BM need to hold in their anger and learn how to keep a smile on their face when the wm is around. Suck it up, the wm expects you to do so. Jim Crow is NOT dead.

If you must vent your anger, do it on other Blacks. The wm doesn't care about that.

Remember, this is White America. You exist at the mercy of Whites. If you show any indignity whatsoever; for whatever reason, no matter how justified, the wm will shoot you dead.

You cannot defeat the injustices of America. The black race is too weak and fragile to support one another in the name of Justice.

I would like to see the reaction when one of these "pampered" athlete or entertainers "touch" the white women wrong. Already Brother Steven Smith was chastised and punished for saying the wrong thing in front of white women. Even the "baddest DB" had to apologized for speaking out of frame in front of a white women.

Yes, we don't respect our mothers, sisters and women. we-us Black males- only get corrected when it reflect on the money making capabilities of the white masters. I am not using the word "master" in a negative manner... in America the wording just applies .

So now as I wait for the valued to be harmed.(The odds and prob) Nay.. those brothers will be extra careful around Miss Anne. Sisters will still be mistreated by America.

Confession... this is one Brother that loves a full women. Have been with one for 40 years. And if it was not her, I would seriously seek Sister Jill Scott. She received no support from the feminist in regards to the selfie hacking.

I can't really cheer for the NFL's move. While I can certainly see why people don't have any sympathy for Rice -- beating your girlfriend unconscious is seriously disgusting behavior -- it really shouldn't fall to Rice's employer to punish him for criminal behavior that had nothing to do with his job.

The actual fault here belongs to a prosecutor who failed to do his job and send Rice to jail in the first place. The NFL shouldn't have to step in to compensate for that prosecutor's lousy decisions.

Generally speaking, I do not believe it is a good thing for our country that employers take it upon themselves to punish people for crimes. There is too little opportunity for anyone who has committed an offense to reintegrate into the community. This is fundamentally unfair to individuals who are supposed to have paid their debt to society. Even worse, this practice only incentivizes more crime, since offenders have little choice but to return to that lifestyle after their release from prison, if no one will hire them.

I really think we need to look beyond Ray Rice and see what are the wider effects of this attitude about justice.

Black people, why the frustration with whites? What are you expecting? The western world is a white dominant culture made up of many white subcultures. Do you honestly think we as whites just magically have power over other races/non white cultures? No, it is a shared way of life that has been forged and honed through many many centuries. The amount of lives lost and sufforing of our people to get to this point is staggering. Your 400 years is only the beginnings of your struggle. Millions of us have died..millions. just the past 100 years between us and Europe is more sufforing than the known history of Afros.
The standards we have created for ourselves are very high, only other countries to equal or even surpass western culture would be places like Japan or S.Korea...no one else.
So when we see people steeped in black culture we just roll our eyes or in some cases laugh. Equal...not even close but, some of you are getting close, too few to make a difference it seems.
Trust me, we are assholes to anyone who we can't trust. Speak ebonics,, can't trust you do your job. If you can't speak correctly, then we assume your job will be done incorrectly. Dress like a child..you will take your job as serious as a child. Bitch and moan and make excuses, then can't be trusted to hang when the going gets tough.

Field I note that you and all of the preceding commentators ignored the REAL tragedy in this Ray Rice drama, and that is Janay Palmer/Rice, Ray Rice's wife and child. The public drama is being played out between the power executives of the NFL, against those self-appointed guardians of women's rights and the preservation of respect for feminism - all carried out against the national array of background male voices, all of which continue to quote Saint Paul's scriptural admonition for "wives obey your husbands".

All of these voices articulating their own particular viewpoints care little or nothing for poor insignificant Janay Palmer, the notorious recipient of the now famous Ray Rice "one punch video graphed around the world". The only voices mentioning Janay in the public discourse are coming from Fox Views. The Foxes on the couch continue to fret over the fact that her stupidity led her to "marry the guy even though he punched her lights out".

If we pause for a minute and examine the mainstream conversation that addresses Janay, one can clearly see good old fashioned American racism at work. In instances similar to this involving a white woman we will find literally hundreds of voices raised in defense of the white woman for bravely "standing by her man". The defenders will also praise her for having the integrity to put the interests of her child or children first. Essentially no such defensive voices can be heard in the public discourse for poor Janay.

Those folks who are demanding the most severe punishment possible for Ray Rice give no thought to the self-evident truth that the consequences of their demands will ultimately be taking food out of the innocent Rice baby's mouth. Further, just how many more Ray Rice administered beatings are in store for Janay as she bravely claims her future as the wife of an out of work, dead broke Ray Rice - whom daily will vehemently blame and curse her for getting him kicked out of the NFL and the CFL?

Michael Brown (aka "The Gentle Giant" aka "Saint Michael of Brown Leaf Tobacco") is now "Mike" Brown?

The narrative. It is now changing.

But what does not change is the truth: M. Brown was a thug. Period. End. Of. Story. (See video of the strong-arm robbery.)

He attacked the Policeman and the Policeman shot M. Brown dead.

And, I might say, the Policeman saved the taxpayer hundreds of thousands of dollars to keep the thug in prison (off-and-on...or forever) in the future.

Kinda like Saint Trayvon of Skittles: another thug. Dead now and the taxpayer is no longer "on the hook" for his future upkeep.

Argue against the truth if you wish, but Sait Trayvon of Skittles attacked the "white hispanic," George Zimmerman, and that was proved in court.

Saint M of Brown Leaf Tobacco attacked the store clerk and that was caught on video tape.

Both were thugs and the world is a better place without them.

There are some things I don't find funny and domestic violence is one. It's also interesting that there's a disproportionate number of black women who bare the brunt of the abuse. I've known a couple of people abusive relationships one was a woman who finally found the courage to live and the other was a same-sex relationship. I had many long discussions with him to get him to leave. He finally left as well, but he had to come to a realization he had to live.

Janay Rice falls under that classic abused person and in her mind she loves him. I'm not surprised that she married him. They been together for a long time and have a child together. I don't think was going to leave him particularly when there's a child involved and imagined it's his hold over her. Believe it or not, it's more dangerous for her leave. I have a cousin who's relative on her mother's side was battered by her husband. She took the kids and left, and went to stay with her family. Her husband stood outside the home and shot her with a shotgun through the window as she was holding their baby in her arms. Miraculously, the baby was unharmed and it's also worth mentioning that he never served anytime in prison for her murder. This was in late 40s to early 50s, there has been some progress, but we have a long way to go on the matter of domestic violence. It's a very complicated issue and to say if it was more, I would have left him is an oversimplification. Women who abuse men is a problem, but we don't know large of one because most men don't come forward to say that my wife knock me out with a frying pan because it's humiliating. I can only imagine the number of same-sex domestic violence will evolve with the advent of same-sex marriage. The underlining issue of domestic violence is control and power.

Janay will not leave her husband at this moment, but him being fired from the Raven gives him more time to take it out on her unless he gets help for his problem. I don't know if he'll ever admits that he has a problem and only time will tell. And whoever thought of that press conference had no idea what he/she were doing it probably made things worse. It's interesting who she came out on Instragram and blamed the media making these worse and for some reason it came across my mind that he beat her again. He may access to her social media accounts. It's really a sad affair.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Henna your post about Black women in abusive relationships is missing a few VERY important facts. 1) Black women are FAR more likely to fight back which will invariably lead to involvement by law enforcement. 2) When Black women do fight back it can result in assault or worse charges. I read a stat that the majority of Black women in prison are there because they were defending themselves against abuse. 3) Many cultures condone the abuse of women so their numbers are underreported. 4) Just as abortions in White women especially wealthy ones, are coded as "menstral irregularity" thus SEVERLY under reported, domestic violence is too.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Anonymous11:35 PM

Yisheng I don't disagree with the facts you mentioned. They are good points and mentioned in my post that black women are a disproportionate of women in domestic violence. To your point, black women are not seen as victims. I also mentioned the story of my cousin's cousin murder by her husband both the victim and perpetrator were black. It's important to note that a lot of black women don't want to involve the police for fear of how their boyfriends or husbands are handled by the police which further adds to the complexity.

Thanks Hennasplace, you told it like it is. Just ignore Yisheng, she will always put others down in order to make herself look better.

Where the hell did Yisheng come up with her bs from? Bw are no different from any other race of women when it comes to abuse. Yisheng's ignorance is astonishing.

Unbelievable how these peckerwoods will come into a website called "The Field Negro" where Black people come together to discuss and work through their problems and want to give their opinions. Wherever in the World these peckerwood bastards have an opinion there is confusion and chaos; wherever he has influence there is war and destruction. Then they want to pretend all of Black people's problems are self inflicted.

The question should be: What is the quickest and most efficient way to eliminate the World of racism/white supremacy?

Well why don't you give us your ideas. I'm sure it's all about love, peace understanding and above all blaming YT. However, I'll help. Better education with increasing IQ's, improved impulse control and some idea of future time orientation would go a long way in the Black community. I'd just like for you to shut up during movies. Meanwhile in Chicago we have two more unofficial fatalities to raise the monthly score to 14.

Historically, white men have been the purveyors of violence, greed and destruction since the earliest evidence of man's existence...the white race, the Neanderthal-Caucasoids, are more aggressive than any other groups because of ancient social and sexual maladaption. This is scientific fact and in tracing the effects of Caucasian aggression we can see through history (the treatment of Africans, Native Americans, Asians, and people of color in general)that result in black people in America after 400+ years of oppression/repression.

Black men have adopted his psycho-social deviant behaviors to the point of self annihilation. For white men to come here and attempt to pass off these destructive behaviors as an aberration of "black culture" is disingenuous...and total bullshit. As I grew in wisdom and clarity through research and knowledge of self, following the early teachings and wisdom of Haj Malik El Shabazz...I truly see why he considered white men..."devils".

Yeah, all of that white brutality and aggression really rings true even to this day. Any countries that are majority white are considered the most dangerous places to live. Take Canada...you would have to a suicidal thrill junkie to live there. Or Vermont..the crime rates there make ones head spin.
So far behind that you think you are ahead. Your ancestors were just as likely to be enslaved by any number of peoples 400 years ago. Dude slavery still exsist in the classic form in Africa today. How do you think that bling on your ring got here? Meteorites?

"One of the things that most afflicts this country is that white people don’t know who they are or where they come from. That’s why you think I’m a problem. I am not the problem; your history is. And as long as you pretend you don’t know your history, you’re gonna be the prisoner of it. And there’s no question of your liberating me, ‘cause you can’t liberate yourselves."

Brian Kilmeade talks a lot of shit but can't hold his own physically. Check out this clip of MMA fighter B.J. Penn wrestling him to the ground--and Penn was probably going easy on him.

"Domestic violence is the least of your worries. There were 8 homicides over the weekend in Chicago, with African Americans predominating. Score for the month of September so far is 11 fatalities. Aren't you the least bit embarrassed by this?"

QLB, you sure are a one-trick pony. If you're so interested in Chicago's black-on-black crime stats, how 'bout you blog on 'em yourself and stop nagging FN to do your work for you. 'Course, you just might be the most stubborn troll evah. Score: failure to engage (that's a big 0 for you as a commenter) (what, I can't give you a score? But this is a free country, QLB!!!)
