Tonight my racism chase takes me to Rhode Island.
"A black Rhode Island man was pulled over because of the air freshener hanging from his rearview mirror.
As soon as he was pulled over, Dana Harris Jr. began recording, and the video has since been posted to YouTube.
“What’s the problem, big dude? What’s the problem?” Harris asks the officer, Brian Murphy, when he arrives.
“You seen me come out of my driveway. What did I do wrong?” Harris asks, adding, “I have a cousin who’s a Providence police officer for 23 years. What’s the problem? … I’m tired of this. I’m not a gangster. I’m not a thug.”
Murphy ignores Harris’ questions and asks for his insurance information. After Murphy looks over the paperwork, he hands it back to Murphy and says, “You can’t have this obstructing your view,” as he points at the air freshener.
“Come on, are you serious?” Harris replies.
“Air fresheners? … That’s the reason you pulled me over?” Harris asks.
“Yup,” the officer says, not giving a ticket and the returning to his cruiser.
“You’re bored, I can tell you’re bored,” Harris says to Murphy as the officer is walking away. “Have a good day, man.'”
Come on Field, you are making a mountain out of a mole- hill. He didn't even ticket the man, what's the big deal?
This one incident might not be a big deal, but it's like Chinese water torture.
Drip. Drip. Drip.
Field, the police have an explanation, it was all a big misunderstanding.
"The video has since gone viral, and police authorities have since explained that Murphy was watching the house for Harris’ 18-year-old brother, Justice McLaren. Murphy had pulled Harris over to look for his brother and was unsure if he could tell Harris about the warrant, so he pointed out the air freshener instead." [Source]
I would tend to believe that this incident was just a big misunderstanding, but there are too many other folks in law enforcement like Officer Murphy. Take this next guy all the way across the country in Oregon, for example.
"A police chief in Oregon retired this week after officers say he responded to an accusation of racism by imitating a monkey, singing “Dixie” and pantomiming a beating, KOIN reports.
In papers obtained by the station, officers allege that Clatskanie Police Chief Marvin Hoover made the racist display when they attempted to debrief him on the arrest of black woman who threatened to file a discrimination lawsuit.
“I relayed several of the arrestee’s remarks such as, ‘When you look at me, my black and my nappy hair, all you see is animal,’” writes Officer Dustin Stone in his official report to the Oregon Department of Public Safety. “Chief Hoover interrupted me and said, ‘That’s what she is.’” [Source]
Oh come on Field, are you going to indict everyone in law enforcement because of one bad apple?
Ok, how about two bad apples.
KPLC reported that the Lake Arthur town council unanimously voted to terminate Raymond Mott earlier this week after the photo started circulating on Facebook.
“The picture speaks for itself,” Mott said. “I’m standing at a rally against illegal immigration. There’s not much to be said about the picture. I’ve never denied it was me.”
The photo was apparently taken at a Klan rally at an undisclosed location in North Carolina last summer. It was said to have been an anti-immigration rally.
The former Lake Arthur officer said the town council did not follow proper protocol in firing him and that his termination was illegal. He said he plans to take legal action against the town." [Source]
Oh Field....
I know I know, a mountain out of a mole-hill. It's just one cop, and just because he attends klan rallies that doesn't mean that he is a member.
Drip. Drip. Drip.

Fired for being at a Klan rally? Are we going to start firing officers who belong to La Raza or BLM? I hope so.
ReplyDeletewow. Is that all ya got for racism today?
ReplyDeleteSo he stops him because he's got a warrant for the brother?
ReplyDeleteThat means he can harass this brother too? In his home as he pulls out of his driveway? and I suppose he'll stop the entire rest of the family at his whim?
What an a******!
There outta be a law! really!

Because to stupid whites they are the same. Field, you have some stooopid trolls.
They are the same.
ReplyDeleteBrother Field, your in-depth post with facts to back up the "drip, drip drip" that has been going on since slavery and jim crow has a lot of merit to it.
ReplyDeleteBut it's not enough when it comes to the way Whites treat Blacks. It's psychological violence that cuts from the 'inside'. These people are not only harassing racists, they are just plain evil.
Let's call them for what they are: EVIL.
This country will soon have to make a decision. Either to stamp out the evil ones or let the country go straight to hell.
"So he stops him because he's got a warrant for the brother?
ReplyDeleteThat means he can harass this brother too? In his home as he pulls out of his driveway? and I suppose he'll stop the entire rest of the family at his whim?"
Er, yeah.
I guess life is gonna suck for the family until the cops manage to find the brother who's wanted by the law. Lots of questioning about illegal air fresheners.
And I'm not saying that ALL cops are bad, by no means, police are absolutely necessary to maintain order in society. But, it's these a-holey ones that give the rest a bad name and rep.
ReplyDeleteOfficers do your job. and do it in a humane and compassionate way.
Don't harass, profile and bully! That's totally unnecessary and uncalled for.

Who knew police officers weren't supposed to be Klansmen? Wait, you're telling me it's NOT 1953?
I expect Raymond Mott's next move will be to get his resume ready and go interview to work at the Trump campaign!
He should probably mention any relevant expertise in bitch-slapping unruly Latino protesters. That's a skill-set they demand of all their hired thugs.
This is hilarious, especially the end. This can't be real can it?

"you are a paranoid delusional racism chaser who needs to believe certain things."
ReplyDeleteField is a Social Justice Warrior, a man of his times. He fulfils his need to be holy by publicly chanting the tenets of the Church of Progressivism - "White America is Racist; I am not Racist".
Field and his fellow SJWs have imposed their religion on every institution in America, replacing their core purposes with progressive politics.
The public schools can no longer educate, so people are turning to homeschooling. The universities can no longer provide liberal arts educations, so people are becoming technology-assisted autodidacts. The banks no longer loan, the state and local governments no longer provide basic public services, the military does not defend the borders, NASA can't take a man to space anymore, the newspapers no longer provide news, the television networks no longer entertain, and the corporations are increasingly unable to provide employment.
Even as the institutions have been invaded and co-opted in the interests of social justice, they have been rendered unable to fulfill their primary functions. This is the great internal contradiction that the SJWs will never be able to positively resolve, just as the Soviet communists were never able to resolve the contradiction of socialist calculation that brought down their economy and their empire 69 years after Ludwig von Mises first pointed it out. One might call it the Impossibility of Social Justice Convergence; no man can serve two masters and no institution can effectively serve two different functions. The more an institution converges towards the highest abstract standard of social and distributive justice, the less it is able to perform its primary function.
Brother Field, while in prayer a voice came and said White people don't like Black people. It was a shocker because I used to think it was the other way around. That is, Blacks didn't like White people but Whites loved Blacks.
ReplyDelete"What's going on?"
LILAC, u need to calm down. That cop was NOT an asshole. An asshole cop would have either shot him or put his ass in jail so he could hang himself.
ReplyDeleteThat brother was blessed by white cop who practices benign drip drip drip harassment. Most cops have 'kill the n----r' practices or send the 'n----r to jail where he can hang himself'.
So thank the Lord for this one because it could have been Satan who stopped him.
I am coming to the undeniable conclusion that most white cops are holy angels.
Do you not agree, my sister?
President Obama just signed a law making it a crime to threaten in any way any officers online.

Doug in Oakland's last comment shows he doesn't know "what's going on?". And I thought people in CA knew everything. Come to find out they don't know shit, esp in Oakland.

Your racist liberal precepts might teach you that, but in truth it is crippling ideology of progressivism that is destroying this country. Immigrants and black people are just abused tools in this process.
My people (Black people) refuse to "know" the basic laws which cause them to be stopped and detained for trivial reasons. For as long as the DMV has been writing laws in the state of Virginia, one law has been used for so, so many traffic stops. Just in the last 2-3 years we had a law that "nothing, nothing" could hang from the rear view mirror. But my peeps continued to hang fuzzy dice, graduation tassels and love one's garter.
ReplyDeleteMany, many Bros/Sis have gotten stopped for just this one simple infraction. Onced stopped, many of my peeps have been arrested for residue of reefer or old beer cans. Now the law states that the object hanging must not obstruct the view of the highway. By the way the officer can stop you to use his eyes in this determination... another way to stop you. Hummm
This first Brother was lucky not to have negative consequences from his addressing the officer. In Virginia "Hey Dude" to an officer might get you laying face down on the interstate...while he checks you out. Know the law. StillaPanther2
Funny. None of your posters, so far, has even addressed the fact about the "air fresheners".
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's because they don't take baths, and stink like shit? Or, the drug smell is supposed to fool the cops.

the translation:
"A police officer shot a black person."
"The top dumbocrat candidates are under the impression the country isn't fooled by the Obama Recovery."
ReplyDeleteNot really, Bill.
Liberals and conservatives aren't making the same argument.
Conservatives are making the argument that the economy isn't big enough. The country needs growth, growth, growth! And the way you get growth is always by giving rich people a sloppy blowjob. Nothing new there.
Liberals are complaining that the economy isn't fair enough. Grow the economy as much as you want, but the average worker won't get a raise because the U.S. economy is structured so as to give all the gains to upper corporate management and shareholders. Grow the economy as much as you want, but that won't improve employment because most of the unemployed people don't have skills that would make them employable (instead, all the new employment will take the form of outsourcing or immigrants coming in on H1-B visas). You have to tax rich people and spend on those unemployed Americans in order to give them those skills.
"The only decline I see is a decline in the living standard of the average American caused by globalization "
ReplyDeleteWho drives globalization? It's not "conservatives", nor is it "liberals".
The same money interests fund both parties in service to a parasitic, hostile elite, in whose interests American foreign and domestic policies are directed.

Wonder why, despite the Obama administration telling us unemployment is at 5.1%, things still seem so bad?:
ReplyDelete"since December 2007, according to the Household Survey, only 790,000 native born American jobs have been added. Contrast that with the 2.1 million foreign-born Americans who have found a job over the same time period..."
The vast majority of jobs added in the Obama years have gone to foreign born workers.
The numbers for just the month of August will be enough to provide the Trump - and every other - campaign with enough soundbites and pivot points to last it for weeks on end: namely, that in August a whopping 698,000 native-born Americans lost their job. This drop was offset by 204,000 foreign-born Americans, who got a job in the month of August.
The Fed admitted over a year ago that the US unemployment rate (which in 2012 was supposed to be a rate hike "threshold" once it hit 6.5% and is now at 5.1%) has become irrelevant in a country where a record 94 million people have left the labor force.

Bill is a Democrat? It was the Democrat slush funds/social justice weapons of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that caused the recession.
As an executive at Fannie Mae, Franklin Raines illegally coerced his employees to falsify accounting facts so he’d get a maximum bonus. The government-backed firm used Enron-like fraud, in part at Raines’s orders, to create the largest bail-out in US history. Raines had the whistleblower fired. From the Heritage Foundation:
ReplyDeleteIn 2004, after a tip from a whistle blower who was later fired, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight (Ofheo) issued a report finding that the government-sponsored entity Fannie Mae had engaged in Enron-like accounting machinations that allowed Fannie to overstate its earnings and underestimate the risk the company faced. The accounting wizardry Fannie engaged in was designed so that Fannie could meet profit targets tomaximize bonus payments to company executives like Clinton administration deputy attorney general Jamie Gorelick and Carter administration assistant director for domestic policy Franklin Raines.
From the ACU:
Following his tenure in Democrat Bill Clinton’s White House as Budget Director, Raines returned to Fannie Mae where he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer prior to being forced out over accounting fraud allegations that federal authorities claimed were used to pad his own pocket with tens of millions of dollars in un-earned bonuses on top of his multi-million dollar pay. Raines and other top executives drew multi-million dollar salaries at Fannie Mae for many years.
Although he claimed no wrong doing, Raines agreed to settle the suit with the federal government just this year and agreed to pay back a few million of the near $50 million it had been alleged he obtained illegally through bonuses not due from Fannie Mae.
http://www.opensecrets.org/news/2008/09/update-fannie-mae-and-freddie/
Only one member of Congress (me) received more kickbacks from Raines’s Fannie Mae cronies than did Barack Obama–over $120,000 in bribes.
Remember Countrywide? According to BusinessWeek Obama’s financial adviser, Raines, was responsible for its demise, too:
ReplyDeleteThe Countrywide project deemed, “friends of Angelo” or FoA, standing for Friends of Countrywide Chief Executive Angelo Mozilo, apparently provided special loan rates for connected officials. These included Raines, James Johnson (a Democratic party activist and adviser to Sen. Barack Obama who was named to a panel to help choose Obama’s Vice Presidential running mate), Democrat Chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, Senator Christopher Dodd, and the chairman of the Senate Budget Committee, Democrat Kent Conrad.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac control almost 50 percent of all mortgages in the United States. They were started by Democrats, protected by Democrat, funded by Democrats, and absorbed into the government proper at the behest of their paid hacks in the Democrat party. Conservatives have advocated the demolition of these twin towers of corruption, fraud, and bribery for decades. But Democrats blocked every attempt to even hold hearings on corruption in Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
We're stuck in the worst economic recession in history because of Obama, Dodd, me, Frank, Pelosi, Kennedy, and the rest of the Democrat criminals who destroyed the housing market, put families on the streets, and wrecked Wall Street through greed and avarice on a scale unseen since the Roman Empire!
ReplyDeleteFannie also bought off activist groups such as the corrupt Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), which has been indicted, multiple times across the country, for vote fraud (Obama worked closely with ACORN as a street organizer in Chicago). Fannie’s lobbying efforts paid off as liberal politicians such as Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Rep. William Clay (D-Mo.) worked to kill any real reform of Freddie and Fannie. The Washington Post reports: “In an internal memo in 2004, Fannie Mae executive Daniel H. Mudd affirmed what the company’s critics had long contended: In the political arena, ‘we always won’ and ‘we took no prisoners.’”
"With half a decade’s hindsight, it is clear the crisis had multiple causes. The most obvious is the financiers themselves—especially the irrationally exuberant Anglo-Saxon sort, who claimed to have found a way to banish risk when in fact they had simply lost track of it. Central bankers and other regulators also bear blame, for it was they who tolerated this folly. The macroeconomic backdrop was important, too. The “Great Moderation”—years of low inflation and stable growth—fostered complacency and risk-taking. A “savings glut” in Asia pushed down global interest rates. Some research also implicates European banks, which borrowed greedily in American money markets before the crisis and used the funds to buy dodgy securities. All these factors came together to foster a surge of debt in what seemed to have become a less risky world."
ReplyDeletehttp://www.economist.com/news/schoolsbrief/21584534-effects-financial-crisis-are-still-being-felt-five-years-article
Only an idiot, a Republican, would believe that Freddie and Fannie caused the entire 2008 global financial collapse. I know this idiot and other Republicans will find this article above their intellectual level but it's worth a try. But we all know how it's gonna end "blame the dumbocrats".

Justice Department Settles Immigration-Related Discrimination Claim Against Nebraska-Based Meat Packing Company
ReplyDeleteThe Justice Department announced today that it reached a settlement with Nebraska Beef Ltd., a meat packing company headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. The settlement resolves an investigation by the Office of Special Counsel for Immigration-Related Unfair Employment Practices (OSC) into whether the company was engaging in employment discrimination in violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). In particular, OSC investigated whether the company was requiring non-U.S. citizen employees, because of their citizenship status, to present proof of their immigration status for the employment eligibility verification process.
That's right, the Obama administration is penalizing businesses who try to avoid hiring illegal aliens. A business who tried to abide by Federal immigration law is fined $200,000 by the DOJ.
Unfuckingbelievable.

@ Whose side are you on?:
ReplyDeleteThe facts are clear… Obama is not on the side of America. A job opening at Nebraska Beef will be known in Tegucigalpa before it is known in South Sioux City which is why almost all the job ‘creation’ Obama brags about have gone to immigrants and not American citizens since he took office. Companies no longer have to advertise for open positions as they are filled as they become available through immigrant employee word of mouth networks. This type of discrimination is the REAL problem not the faux discrimination the Administration looks to prevent. An unemployed 2o something black American has no chance of applying for a job if he never learns that their is a job available to apply for.
Then there is the H-1b visa scandal. Microsoft or IBM can announce on Monday they will be letting five or ten thousand employees go and on Tuesday say they can’t find anyone in the US with the skills they need to fill positions at their company yet the ‘right person’ somehow exists in Mumbai even though that person has zero work experience
*Yawn*
ReplyDeleteThe more you wingnuts complain, the more I look into this thing and see that Obama might be the president that you all have ever had.
But hey, don't let the facts get in the way of your FOX VIEWS inspired rants.
Field cares more about protecting Obama than is own peeps.
ReplyDelete“#BlackJobsMatter, but not to the Obama Administration.”
ReplyDeleteNor, as far as I can tell, to black Americans, aside from the few Uncle Toms that FOX News interviews from time-to-time. Blacks still seem to see Obama as Malcolm X, Jesus, and Santa all rolled into one. Well, at least Obama is partly on their side, so they’ve got better sense than the whites who still support him.

You missed a word.
I wonder what statement analysis would say about you missing that specific word.
I'm sure something about your subconscious.
If the world ended tomorrow FN would write that blacks suffered the worst.
ReplyDeleteAnon@10:52, if the world ended tomorrow u would go to heaven, right?
ReplyDeleteJames, are u related to Ms. Cleo?

I don't understand your way of thinking or why you asked that. What does going to heaven have to do with my comment?
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in a heaven or a hell or a god, and I don't denigrate those who do believe. Live and let live as long as I am not forced to follow their religion.
