Hello America, your president is tweeting again.
"As the phony Russian Witch Hunt continues, two groups are laughing at this excuse for a lost election taking hold, Democrats and Russians!
No Mr. President, there is nothing "phony" about this Russian story. You and your people could make it a non-story by coming clean on everything. But unfortunately the fact that you all keep changing stories about everything to do with Russia and leaving out important details about your Russian contacts and conversations, makes us think that there is something in those [nothing] burgers.
"It's very sad that Republicans, even some that were carried over the line on my back, do very little to protect their President.
Wrong again Mr. President. The opposite is true. These republicans in Washington have been silent and in some cases encouraging this train wreck of a presidency. They have more than gotten your back, and in many cases, by being silent, they have tarnished their reputations and their standing among decent Americans.
"It's hard to read the Failing New York Times or the Amazon Washington Post because every story/opinion, even if shecould be positive, is bad!
He calls the New York Times "failing', and yet he sits down with them to give them a lengthy exclusive (albeit garbled) interview. Go figure.
"If Republicans don't Repeal and Replace the disastrous ObamaCare, the repercussions will be far greater than any of them understand!
Big mistake making this (healthcare) your first priority Mr. trump. It has been a disaster from the start for republicans. You should have been focusing on something that you might be able to work with democrats on. (Think infrastructure improvement for the country.)
So you have no one else to blame but yourself for this blunder when it comes to your agenda.
Now here is some advice from your friendly neighborhood field Negro: Stay off twitter!

Fuck those despicable creeps for putting millions of US citizens through six months of not knowing whether they got to keep living or not in a failed attempt to get a slightly bigger tax cut for a bunch of filthy rich assholes.
ReplyDeleteHad their bill not been shot down, first by their own members, and next by the senate parliamentarian (you can't pass a healthcare bill by reconciliation. Everyone knows that. This has therefore never been a healthcare bill, by definition. It's a motherfucking tax cut), tens of millions of US citizens would have lost their health insurance, causing tens of thousands of them to die each year, and for what? For the top two percent of earners to get an average of two percent more in after-tax income.
We're not gonna forget that you tried to do this.

"No Mr. President, there is nothing "phony" about this Russian story."
ReplyDeleteYou are still pushing this fake news, when former Acting CIA Director Michael Morell said 4 months ago that "On the question of the Trump campaign conspiring with the Russians here, there is smoke, but there is no fire, at all."
We don't need delusional, dysfunctional people like you in this country. All you can do is destroy what we are trying to repair. Some White guy should have your AA job. You have to go back.
"Fuck those despicable creeps for putting millions of US citizens through six months of not knowing whether they got to keep living or not in a failed attempt to get a slightly bigger tax cut for a bunch of filthy rich assholes."
Hey, Dougie? Maybe your fake news sources didn't tell you that the "22 million" isn't those who'd lose "health care", they're people who'd drop the $1000/month with $10k annual deductible non-care and just pay cash for what they need. They'd do this because the Obamacare premiums are not for the subscribers, they're mostly transferred as subsidies for Blacks and other useless minorities. It's a welfare tax on people who can least afford it.
I found an escape from the requirement to pay for Obamawelfarecare, so I don't. I pay out of pocket for what little I need. I'm fine with that. Your 400-lb diabetic smokers who are getting their ruined kidneys replaced are getting as little assistance from me as I can manage. If we can get your shot-up gang-bangers turned away at emergency rooms we'll see some REAL savings. A funeral costs a hell of a lot less than surgery, hospital care, rehab and a lifetime of Medicaid.
NO! Unsharp Cheddar Cheese should STAY on twitter and take everyone in his circle down with him!
ReplyDelete"Nothing burgers"? Nobody said anything about "nothing burgers" but can I get onion rings with that?
ReplyDeleteDug from holeland sez...
ReplyDelete"We're not gonna forget that you tried to do this."
We're not gonna forget about you either. I'm sure there's a lamp post that needs a Dug.
Hey ignorant asshole! No they're not! They're mostly folks on Medicaid, of which a sizeable chunk are children, and people who won't be able to afford the worthless policies that will be on offer for double the price, with no subsidies to help them make the insurance executives richer while the quality of healthcare for the non-wealthy goes down the shitter.
ReplyDeleteOh, yeah, and anyone at all who has ever been sick in their lives and thus has a motherfucking pre-existing condition, for which the insurance ghouls, once again unchained, will refuse to insure them outright or charge them so much for such useless policies as to make them worthless for actual use.
And there are no "Obamacare premiums" you coprophagic imbecile, and those numbers must be on your menu as they're 100% feces.
You'll have a great time paying your own way when you actually get sick, if your disgusting party gets its way, read that you'll be one of the millions of medical bankruptcies that will be the norm once again.
But go ahead, knock yourself out. I'm sure things will be different for you than the findings of all the research that went into the crafting of the ACA, because your racism, I mean moral superiority will protect you from any and all catastrophic illness or injury.
-Doug in Oakland
Doug,
ReplyDeleteI wish it was as simple as whether or not the anarcho-fascist-libertarian party can or will muster the votes to repeal the ACA.
The truth is that the shit is already beginning to hit the fan. Two examples in point.
Marco Rubio continues to work on his plan to eliminate the risk corridor protection for the healthcare insurance industry. Part of the ACA allowed the federal government to bail out insurance companies in the event of catastrophic losses incurred by the implementation of the Affordable Care Act.
One of the key provisions of Obama's grand compromise was, of course, to allow federal monies to be used to reimburse states for for some costs incurred by the insurance companies in providing expanded Medicaid coverage through the exchanges. Those reimbursements remain controlled by the executive branch of the federal government. So far, the Trump administration has refused to renew the provision. Although they have to date maintained the payments on a month-to-month basis.
Like so much other shit. The power of the office can create incredible mischief. Republicans and their satanic cohorts truly are motivated to see Obamacare fail by any means possible. They remain committed to undermining all efforts to make this law work.
Kinda like how they wanted to waste the global economy just to prove that you can never have a negro president.
I wish there was a Secretary of Social Media that could keep a watchful eye on Trump and his idiotic tweeting.
ReplyDeleteButt Trumpet isn't pleasing Melania with his tiny white dick, so he makes up for it by spending too much time on Twitter.

Let me settle your mind for you now: You don't.
FBI agents seized smashed computer hard drives from the home of Florida Democratic Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s information technology (IT) administrator, according to an individual who was interviewed by Bureau investigators in the case and a high level congressional source.
ReplyDeletePakistani-born Imran Awan, long-time right-hand IT aide to the former Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman, has since desperately tried to get the hard drives back, the individual told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group.
The congressional source, speaking on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the probe, confirmed that the FBI has joined what Politico previously described as a Capitol Police criminal probe into “serious, potentially illegal, violations on the House IT network” by Imran and three of his relatives, who had access to the emails and files of the more than two dozen House Democrats who employed them on a part-time basis.
Capitol Police have also seized computer equipment tied to the Florida lawmaker.
Collusion is collusion....period!!!
ReplyDeleteJaren took the meeting under the belief that he would be getting info from the Russians. The evidence is right there in the e-mails.
The law never applies to "rich white males."
"Jaren took the meeting under the belief that he would be getting info from the Russians."
ReplyDeleteSo? Who wouldn't? What campaign hasn't? Clinton took millions from the Chinese and Saudis. She accepted a one million dollar gift from Qatar while she was Secretary of State. She raked in $150 million to her foundation from parties involved in the sale of 20% of US uranium reserves to Russia.
The Dems had a hundred times more contacts with the Russians.
They also accepted and ran the false golden showers story from the Russians!
And if, *if*, it really was the Russians who hacked the DNC emails, didn't they do us all a favor by showing us just how corrupt Hillary and the DNC were? Because it was true about the collusion with the media and what they did to Sanders.
Come on people, think harder about this.
"It's hard to read the Failing New York Times or the Amazon Washington Post because every story/opinion, even if shecould be positive, is bad!

-----------------
Heh, "Amazon Washington Post". The president here puts his finger on Bezos' long game in buying the Post -- with its long-burnished connections to the deepest of the Deep State swamp creatures, the always-wrong CIA -- and its past journalistic credibility. Owning the Post gives him leverage over not only Trump, but the federal government as well; it's worth almost any amount of money that Bezos wants to spend in order for his to be the public voice of the most important city in the world, a city made of money, dedicated to the pursuit of power, and determined to keep the good times rolling without grubby outside interference from the likes of the nouveau-riche Trump family.
The outer-borough Trump, whose never-lost Queens accent set him apart from his tony mid-Atlantic Manhattan counterparts, may have made his new money in the low-rent residential real estate business, but the D.C. elite came by theirs the old fashioned-ways: through the Old-Ivy higher education networks (Hotchkiss and Andover to Yale and Harvard) and generations of familial political connection and, often, corruption.
Bezos, like Trump, is an outsider. But rather than run for president -- that piddling office -- he busted up American retailing and grabbed the Post to ensure that trouble from 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and Capitol Hill would be kept to an absolute minimum. With the example of Bill Gates and Microsoft still fresh in everyone's memory, why wouldn't he?
And the best part about Amazon's climb to monopolistic supremacy? You're subsidizing it:
Like many close observers of the shipping business, I know a secret about the federal government’s relationship with Amazon: The U.S. Postal Service delivers the company’s boxes well below its own costs. Like an accelerant added to a fire, this subsidy is speeding up the collapse of traditional retailers in the U.S. and providing an unfair advantage for Amazon.
In 2007 the Postal Service and its regulator determined that, at a minimum, 5.5% of the agency’s fixed costs must be allocated to packages and similar products. A decade later, around 25% of its revenue comes from packages, but their share of fixed costs has not kept pace. First-class mail effectively subsidizes the national network, and the packages get a free ride. An April analysis from Citigroup estimates that if costs were fairly allocated, on average parcels would cost $1.46 more to deliver. It is as if every Amazon box comes with a dollar or two stapled to the packing slip—a gift card from Uncle Sam.
Amazon is big enough to take full advantage of “postal injection,” and that has tipped the scales in the internet giant’s favor. Select high-volume shippers are able to drop off presorted packages at the local Postal Service depot for “last mile” delivery at cut-rate prices. With high volumes and warehouses near the local depots, Amazon enjoys low rates unavailable to its competitors. My analysis of available data suggests that around two-thirds of Amazon’s domestic deliveries are made by the Postal Service. It’s as if Amazon gets a subsidized space on every mail truck.
Enjoy your "savings" and "convenience," folks. After all, you're paying for it -- boy, are you ever.

New York Times, April 23, 2015:
Uranium investors’ efforts to buy mining assets in Kazakhstan and the United States led to a takeover bid by a Russian state-owned energy company. The investors gave millions to the Clinton Foundation over the same period, while Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton’s office was involved with approving the Russian bid.
SEPTEMBER 2005
Frank Giustra, a Canadian mining financier, wins a major uranium deal in Kazakhstan for his company, UrAsia, days after visiting the country with former President Bill Clinton.
2006
Mr. Giustra donates $31.3 million to the Clinton Foundation.
FEBRUARY 2007
UrAsia merges with a South African mining company and assumes the name Uranium One. In the next two months, the company expands into the United States.
JUNE 2008
Negotations begin for an investment in Uranium One by the Russian atomic energy agency, Rosatom.

ReplyDeleteA quick look at the facts of the Clinton's treasonous relations with Russian interests tells you all you need to know about why the media is hysterically pushing this false Trump/Russia collusion story.
Just like the Republicans allowed Senator Obama to win the office- by running sub-par candidate against him, the Democrats paid back in kind. Mr Trump had no opposition that was going to displace a return to white in America. Surely USA is not ready for an Hispanic, nor is the time ripe for stale white Republicans. We always talk about Trump's base.. there were a hell of a lot of "closet voters" that took the boy over the line. The Democrats sent a brunt out pol with some security baggage that scared America could not vote for. Look at the scale. A contaminated candidate versus a scared draft dodging windbag.
ReplyDeletePS. Did you see the photo op of Mr. Trump and the new White House interns. Mr Trump centered in a sea of white youths. So please if you are in the majority stop whining. Your country is safe. That picture of Donald and all those white kids was what this election was about. They cant replace him now. Russia or no Russia. Aint Russians white too??
The idea of hoping to get some dirt on HRC but somehow being disappointed with the lack of any goods is patently ridiculous on so many levels. Only a complete moron would believe in the first place that there existed any dirt on HRC. So on that level, I do accept that Trump Jr. probably was actually stupid enough to believe that that was the reason why he was called. But it wasn't really dirt the Russians were talking about, was it? They didn't exactly have dirt. But they had something useful. I don't think the point ever was to hand over information to the incompetent son of a billionaire.
ReplyDeleteWhat the Russians were doing was probably looking for some kind of a green light from the Trump family. No doubt their motivation would have been for Trump to become indebted to them. Which is something that actually seems to have worked out well for them.
DWS and other big players were anxious to conclude the Democratic Convention with HRC the clear winner. Assange still had some credibility after the Bradley Manning massive data dump of damaging information about the wars. Russia was able to play him as a pawn in all of this. The Russians understood Assange's deep hatred of the democratic establishment certainly from statements by John Kerry and HRC.
They had a plan alright. It worked out rather neatly. For the life of me I will never understand Comey's role in this debacle with the eleventh hour opening of the email investigation after he had already cleared Hillary of any wrongdoing.
My guess is that Comey isn't really as squeaky clean as he would have us believe.

ReplyDeleteFJ: First, yeah, they're trying as hard as they can to kill the ACA, and their efforts can indeed cause the insurance markets to go sideways and hurt a lot of people that way, but the core regulations of the ACA (pre-existing conditions, lifetime caps, kids until 26, and most important the Medicaid expansion) all require sixty votes to kill, according to the senate parliamentarian. That's why they are going after the funding of Medicaid itself, instead of the expansion regulation: that's a budget item so it can be changed under reconciliation.
ReplyDeleteBut the thing that deserves notice is how much their entire reaction to the ACA from the jump has been lies. They won the 2010 midterms mostly on lies about the ACA taking money from Medicare. Their "death panels" lie was lie of the year that year. And the whole time since then they've been lying about having a better plan with better coverage, lower premiums and deductibles, that everyone will be covered by. That's what they sold themselves with to get elected, not destroying the system and taking everyone's coverage away.
The Rude Pundit wrote an excellent post on that subject today:
http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/2017/07/another-big-republican-lie-on-aca-they.html
And second, the meeting was what they call a "dangle" in the intelligence community. The folder of bogus dirt on Hillary they left came from the state prosecutor of Russia, and the whole purpose was to find out whether they could trade election help for the repeal of the Magnitsky Act, which Putin hates almost as much as he hates Hillary.
By all accounts, it was a raging success for the Russians, much like the entire presidency so far has been a raging success for them.
For us? Not so much.

From Quora.com- She graduated from the University of Houston in 1970 and got her law degree from Rutgers University in 1976. She did not seek to take advantage of affirmative action policies during her education, according documents obtained by the Associated Press and The Boston Globe.
ReplyDeleteHer first job was at Rutgers Law School in 1977. The Globe obtained a portion of Warren’s application to Rutgers, which asks if prospective students want to apply for admission under the school’s Program for Minority Group Students. Warren answered “no.”
For her employment documents at the University of Texas, Warren indicated that she was “white.” She has done cutting edge research. Harvard Law wanted to have her in because of that.
At the time she was hired at Harvard in 1995, Charles Fried was the head of the Harvard appointing committee that recommended Warren for her position. He has been quoted several times that her heritage didn’t come up during the course of her hiring. “It simply played no role in the appointments process,” he said. “It was not mentioned and I didn’t mention it to the faculty.”
The Herald also quoted Charles Fried as saying, "In spite of conclusive evidence to the contrary, the story continues to circulate that Elizabeth Warren enjoyed some kind of affirmative action leg-up in her hiring as a full professor by the Harvard Law School. The innuendo is false… I can state categorically that the subject of her Native American ancestry never once was mentioned.” He is very much a Republican — former U.S. Solicitor General under President Ronald Reagan.
