A "Dreamer" and a hero.

Image result for alonso guillen dreamer\ images          “Compassion is the basis of morality.”

"Alonso Guillen drove more than 100 miles south from his home in Lukfin, Texas, last week, determined to help those trapped by Hurricane Harvey flooding in the Houston area.
But he and another man disappeared after their boat capsized in a flood-swollen creek Wednesday, and relatives began searching for their bodies.

On Friday, searchers found the body of Tomas Carreon, 25, of Lufkin. On Sunday, relatives spotted Guillen’s body.

“He was floating in the water,” his brother Jesus Guillen, 36, a Lufkin truck driver, said in Spanish during a phone interview.

Luis Ortega, 22, of Lufkin, who survived the boat accident, told searchers the men had been swept away by a powerful current. Ortega barely escaped by grabbing a floating gas tank, then a tree.
Relatives said Guillen, a Mexican national, was a “Dreamer” enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which President Trump is said to be poised to scrap, though he may leave it intact for six months to give Congress time to find a legislative solution. (Ortega is a U.S. citizen, as was Carreon, Guillen’s brother said.)

Guillen moved to Lufkin at age 14 from just across the border in Piedras Negras, Mexico. He later graduated from Lufkin High School, attended St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, worked in construction and at a local club, Rodeo Disko, and radio station, SuperMix 101.9 FM.

He was known as “DJ Ocho,” who mixed country and hip-hop, followed Texans football and the Houston Astros, played softball and soccer, sported Cowboy hats and red, white and blue sunglasses.

He used the station to organize fundraisers for those in need. “It didn’t matter what situation it was,” said friend Linda Alvarez.

Guillen masterminded the rescue trip to the Houston area just like one of his radio station fundraisers: on the fly, with friends’ help. After the storm hit, they borrowed a boat and drove south to save strangers.

Like many in Texas, Guillen’s family has mixed immigration status and is divided by the border. His mother, a Mexican national, still lives in Piedras Negras, Mexico, with one of his brothers. His father is a legal resident, and his brother Jesus is a U.S. citizen.

Alonso Guillen applied for DACA, an Obama-era program that protected from deportation about 800,000 immigrants brought to the country illegally as children. He applied because so many of his family and friends were in the U.S., and that’s where he saw his future, his brother said." [Source]

Mr. Guillen was a hero. The narcissistic serial liar who occupies 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is not.

Imagine being kicked out of the only country that you have ever known, and  then sent to a country where you don't even speak the language. Imagine, too, that you being here "illegally" is not even your fault.

If you are a dreamer, this is the position that you now find yourself in while living in Donald trump's America.

This man lost his life because of DACA, without which he would have been safe at home with his family in Mexico.

Another person dies for Obama's vanity.

  2. A most poignant post this evening, Mr. Field.

Praying Alonso may rest in peace, and that his family and each of us can take to heart how "It's in giving of ourselves that we receive...," from the Prayer of St. Francis, which speaks to the remarkable courage of Alonso Guillen.

It is foolish to expect Trump to have any empathy whatsoever for "people of color."
Forget about it...cause it ain't gonna happen.

For those who continue to be surprised by this, get your head out of the sand.

"This president doesn't give a damn about anybody except the people that look like him."

Don't think he even cares much about the people who look like him. Nothing in their lives will get materially better because of his actions; many of them will be impoverished by his economic policies.

    Conman Trump cares about Trump.

The people who voted for Trump are getting scammed. The people who didn't vote for him, or the non-white ones at least, are getting stomped.

Almost nobody wins with this buffoon in charge. It's only a question of how badly you are losing.

So Fergus was shocked! shocked, I say, that protests against his vicious poltroonery were all over his beloved cable news, so as if his weaseling punt of the issue to congress wasn't lame, cruel, and cowardly enough, he took to twitter to further hedge his bets by saying that if (if!) congress should fail to successfully deal with the matter (read that fund his walldoggle) in six months, he would consider revisiting the matter.
Read that: "Hey Pig People! I'm kicking the Mexicans out! I swear I am! You're gonna love it!"

Americans speak English.  Had Alonso gone back, he'd be alive today.

"(Ortega is a U.S. citizen, as was Carreon, Guillen’s brother said.)"

Probably "citizenship" as result of birth on US soil from an illegal alien.  As said "citizenship" is the fruit of a crime of one or both parents, it is forfeit.  He has to go back.

"Guillen masterminded the rescue trip to the Houston area just like one of his radio station fundraisers: on the fly, with friends’ help. After the storm hit, they borrowed a boat and drove south to save strangers."

And he fucked up and wound up dead.  How typical of sub-humans.

I hope the owner of the boat didn't suffer too much in damages... unless he's an immivader too.  In that case that SOB has to go back as well.

Mr. Guillen was an illegal alien and the USA is better off without him.  The author of this blog is an unrepentant serial liar and should be booted back to the continent of his heritage.

Hey...white people, you know the ones who like to INSTRUCT others to go back to their countries,
You either don't know your history, or maybe you're too brainless, or maybe you're just completely in denial because the truth really does hurt.

But anyway, YOU are the ones that need to go back to Europe. The Native Americans were here first.

Europeans (including Christopher Columbus) were the ones who stole their land, massacred their nations, robbed and pillaged.

Europeans raped Native American women and children and affected their population with European diseases.
Europeans bought syphilis, gonorrhea, small pox, German Measles, chicken pox and a host of other diseases to this country which affected the Native populations.

Europeans, lied, cheated, killed, and stole their way through this country without regard or respect for the indigenous people or their wonderful culture.

If it wasn't for the generosity of the Native Americans, the folks from Europe wouldn't have lasted a minute in this country when they first settled here. Native Americans TAUGHT Europeans how to survive.

Europeans didn't know a damn thing about how to farm the land in this country until Native Americans taught them. Europeans couldn't build their own houses until the Native Americans taught them.

European settlers were too dumb to even know how to fight a war before Native Americans taught them.
The Revolutionary War would have been lost (with soldiers fighting the enemy face to face on a battlefield with each lined up shooting at each other). But thanks to the Native Americans who taught them how to fight using "guerrilla warfare" tactics and camouflage...the war was won.

Europeans have no culture of their own. They have a history of coming into other countries of color, stealing from their cultures and then calling it their own. Europeans have lied, cheated and stolen land, art, medicine, math, science, and inventions from people of color. Then they write history books that lie claiming that "Europeans" developed all of these wonderful accomplishments.

Hey you...white people... you know who you are...the ones who always want to tell people of color to go back to their country...YOU NEED TO GO BACK TO YOUR COUNTRY...AND STAY YOUR ASSES THERE.

Europeans didn't steal America, they conquered it.

They weren't immigrants, as there was no country to immigrate to, just a vast wilderness inhabited by savage bands of peoples at constant war with one another. They were colonists who brought a superior civilization to the New World.

Europeans first came here to trade and were subject to brutal extermination attempts by the natives. Although vastly outnumbered, their superior intelligence, technology and culture allowed them to vanquish their foes and create the greatest country on earth.

To Understand How America Was Stolen by "White Savages" You Have To Know About America's Dirty Little Secret:

Until 1868, Britain sent 52,000 British prisoners to colonial America.

Britain had been shipping convicts to America for decades before they started sending them to Australia. Until 1775, convict transportation to the American colonies flourished.

Typically, getting banished to America was for a term of either seven or fourteen years, after which the convict could theoretically come back to Britain. Escaping early, however, was punishable by death. And it wasn’t just men. Some female convicts were transported to the American colonies as well.

Many Australians have more or less embraced their convict history. But if you’re an American who had no idea that your country’s founding included a huge prison population, you’re not alone. Historically, Americans have not been too keen on discussing the fact that convicts came and took part in what would eventually become known as the United States.

As Anthony Vaver explains in his book Bound With An Iron Chain, historians have sought to COVER UP the fact that so many prisoners were sent to America:

Through the 19th century, most historians simply ignored the institution, and those who did recognize it usually falsely CLAIMED that nearly all of the people who were transported were political prisoners.

Americans have rather romantic ideas about how their country was founded. We’ve long been fond of the MYTH that tells lots of lies surrounding the New World.

But, like all history, it’s much, much messier than than the lies that have been told. Our history includes plenty of genocide, slavery, and lots of European prison folk — and the latter may be news to many Americans who wouldn’t hesitate to make jokes about other countries being populated and founded by the descendants of criminals.

...There is no bigger savage than the European.

Who controls the nation’s immigration laws? Although the question seems straightforward, the historical picture is mixed, and the text of the U.S. Constitution does not point clearly to the answer.

While the Constitution’s text and the various Supreme Court cases interpreting this text suggest that the federal government has the exclusive power to enact and enforce the nation’s immigration laws, state and local authorities still play an important role in the regulation of immigration because they shape the conditions of daily life for immigrants in their jurisdictions.

Various states and localities resist particular federal immigration directives. For example, in 2012, the Department of Homeland Security began a program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). DACA not only defers any formal removal proceedings against certain eligible noncitizens, but it also allows those noncitizens to receive federal work authorization and apply for driver’s licenses. However, it is the states, not the federal government, that issue driver’s licenses, and at least two states, Nebraska and Arizona, have resisted providing DACA recipients with driver’s licenses. On the other side of the equation, several states and localities have indicated their unwillingness to participate in the federal Secure Communities program, and have declined to comply with ICE requests to prolong the detention of certain noncitizens pending transfer to federal authorities.

Therefore, although there is a uniform federal immigration law, and although the Supreme Court has declared unequivocally for over a century that the federal government has the exclusive power to make and enforce that law, the policies and practices of state and local governments throughout the country continue to shape the lived experience of the immigrants within their jurisdiction. Notwithstanding the letter of the law, federal immigration law is always mediated by powerful intervening forces at the state and local level.

British convicts came over in droves. In fact, even before the Transportation Act of 1718 really opened the doors for Britain’s dumping of undesirables in America, some colonies tried to pass laws that would prohibit the practice. In 1670 authorities in Virginia passed an act that prohibited convicts from being sent to the area. This, unsurprisingly, was overruled by the king.

Pennsylvania tried to do something similar in 1722 by passing a tax for the importation of any people for servitude who had been found “guilty of heinous crimes.” The king, naturally, said that this wasn’t allowed either, proclaiming in 1731: “Whereas acts have been passed in America for laying duties on felons imported, — in direct opposition to an act of Parliament for the more effectual transportation of felons, — it is our royal will and more pleasure that you approve of no duties laid on the importation of any felons into Pennsylvania.”

Everything in Europe (the buildings, art, food, culture, etc.) wouldn't exist without the exploitation of Africans, Asians, and Native Americans in history. Europeans haven't contributed anything to the world since almost everything came from somewhere else. All of their art and architecture has origins in Asia, Africa and the middle east, so there would be no chapels in England had it not been for the arabs who gave them algebra and geometry, look at all the beautiful buildings in the middle east and how similar these look to european buildings that are basically off-shoots.

Europeans are so jealous of Egyptians who used mathematical precision to build the pyramids, and performed surgery using numbing anesthesia, and developed methods of embalming that for years they tried to say that Egypt isn't in Africa.

The middle east and Asia brought farming to europe and water irrigation while most europeans were throwing their sewage out their windows or into lakes and rivers they would drink from and poison themselves with diseases and famines.

Asians gave Europeans the school system and gunpowder. Europe would be mostly illiterate rednecks with no formal education system had it not been for them. When these savages created guns with gunpowder they got from east asians, they just used it as a way of stealing land and resources from Africans, Native americans, and even asians in Vietnam.

Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't only labor and mineral resources that whites got out of their exploited "dumb" Africans, Africans invented the Mbira which is basically the modern piano that europeans take credit for, there would be NO classical music as we know it today had it not been for this invention. Even modern medicine would be nothing without africans. Vaccines were invented by africans in West Africa and even Cesarean sections. Look up "inoculation african origins" on google.

One of the only major things that came out of Europe from native europeans (not jews) was white supremacy and scientific racism which is pathetic when they really don't even outperform anyone on any level racially, maybe only in their cunningness, violence, and deception, but then again even one of the most cited military strategy books the "Art of War" was written by a chinese man.

Marco Polo wrote in his journals how impressed he was with the cleanliness of the
Asian culture. While Europe was still eating raw food and throwing their feces out the window, China had devised a sewage system.

Italy knew nothing of pasta or spices until Marco Polo went to China.

As Europeans traveled the world and realized that they invented nothing they began to feel inferior. So the only thing left to do was to counteract by overtaking. Where they are was not gained from intelligence but from ruthlessness, deceit, cunningness, and blatant disrespect and disregard .

So...just who are the real "Savages?"

Gonorrhea was present in the Middle East in biblical times. Syphilis was definitely present in the Americas before European contact. AIDS came from Africa.

"Hey...white people, you know the ones who like to INSTRUCT others to go back to their countries,"

It's not instruction.  It's a warning and advanced notice that being GONE of your own accord is being SAFE.  By the time people are ready to boot you out, they won't care what happens to you and will default to the cheapest, fastest and easiest "gone".  Transatlantic airline tickets won't be on that list.

"You either don't know your history, or maybe you're too brainless, or maybe you're just completely in denial because the truth really does hurt.

But anyway, YOU are the ones that need to go back to Europe. The Native Americans were here first."

No they weren't.  The first Americans (the Clovis peoples) were Europeans, from what's now the south of France. Today's "native Americans" are Siberians.

"Europeans (including Christopher Columbus) were the ones who stole their land, massacred their nations, robbed and pillaged."

The invading Siberians massacred the Clovis peoples, stole their land, robbed, raped, pillaged and cannibalized.  Then in 1492 Europeans started taking it all back from them again, as is right and proper.

Which leaves us with you Africans.  You couldn't even get your sorry asses across oceans by yourselves.  This is a good thing, because it means that once Whitey stops air service to your shithole continent you're stuck there.  Good for humans, that is.  Nobody's going to care about you.

"Europeans didn't know a damn thing about how to farm the land in this country until Native Americans taught them."

The people who'd bred wheat, rye, oats, many strains of grapes for wine and raisins, tree fruits including apples, peaches, oranges, lemons, limes, and olives, who'd been farming in the Middle East since about the time the Siberians got across the Bering land bridge... you think they needed to be taught how to farm by people who'd just barely domesticated teosinte into something with an ear the size of popcorn?

You're obviously a victim of Afro-centric "education".  Nobody could have invented so much delusional crap all by himself.

"Europeans couldn't build their own houses until the Native Americans taught them."

Europeans were building in stone 4000 years before Columbus.  They were building with sawn lumber that Native Americans never could have made, because they could not make steel for saws.  Native Americans could not make ships because they could not saw lumber.

Even after being shown how to saw lumber, Africans are still living in wattle-and-daub huts with grass roofs.  Native Americans are demonstrably smarter than Africans.

"European settlers were too dumb to even know how to fight a war before Native Americans taught them."

Which is why Cortez was kicked right out of Mexico and Pizarro was slaughtered at his landfall in Peru.

And you probably believe that BS too.

"...There is no bigger savage than the European."

You say this, but you don't realize it means that we're the baddest motherfuckers on the planet and the only thing holding us back from snuffing you all out like candles is the patience and forbearance bred into us by dealing with real adversity for generations.

You're exhausting that patience, and the forbearance is collapsing.  It's time to get out NOW.

Republican Rome had sanitary sewers centuries before Polo travelled the Silk Road.

"Italy knew nothing of pasta or spices until Marco Polo went to China."

Basil was familiar to the ancient Greeks, well before the rise of Rome.  Oregano and rosemary are native to the Mediterranian.  Exotic tropical spices like black pepper and nutmeg require tropical climates to grow.  Pepper is indigenous to Kerala (India), not China.

You're an utter fool spouting propaganda you've been fed.  I'm sure it makes you feel good, but all it does is make you look like an idiot to everyone who's smarter than you... and that's almost everyone in the world.

If Black people studied actual history, they'd realize they're nothing and deserve their inferiority complex.  You create ridiculous fables like this to try to prop up your worthless egos.  Maybe you're not even that bright, and (((someone))) had to create them for you.

Here are two syllogisms about race.

    The first:

    (1) All human groups have identical statistical distributions of cognitive, behavioral and personality traits.
    (2) Human groups, when considered as groups, have measurably different life-outcomes and levels of success in our societies.
    (3) Given (1), these different outcomes can only be due to wholly exogenous factors, such as cultural obstacles and systematic racism.

    The second:

    (1) Various human groups, due to their particular histories of selection under widely varying environments, can be expected to have different statistical distributions of cognitive, behavioral and personality traits.
    (2) Human groups, when considered as groups, have measurably different life-outcomes and levels of success in our societies.
    (3) Given (1), these different outcomes may be due to innate factors, exogenous factors, or some combination of both.

If you accept syllogism #1, you are a good and decent person. You may express your views in public without fear of ostracism, public shaming, censorship or loss of employment.

If you accept syllogism #2, even provisionally, you are a loathsome bigot, and a purveyor of hate. You deserve ostracism and, wherever possible, persecution. In more enlightened nations than ours, you can expect to be prosecuted under the law.

    Any questions?

If you had nothing to say about Obama dropping 100,000 bombs in the Middle East, don't talk about the "cruelty" of ending unconstitutional DACA.

Not that people shouldn't be worried but Trump is probably bargaining to get money for the wall. It shouldn't be hard to get a deal where Dreamers can stay if they came after some previous date. The plus for anti immigrant conservatives would be that future illegal immigration is discouraged and they get a piece of their wall. The plus for liberals would be all ready Americanized Dreamers being able to stay. There seems be a lot of otherwise conservative Republicans who side with Democrats on these issues, for DACA and against the wall. Our very conservative governor in Illinois says he will protect the Dreamers here.

  48. The point (one of them) you keep missing with your xenophobic nationalism is that right now we really need immigrants. Our workforce is not replacing itself nearly quickly enough to sustain the growth you keep saying (lying) will pay for the tax cuts for the filthy rich you are so goddamn obsessed with.
Every study by any reputable organization that's looked at it has shown that wages don't go down when immigrants move in, they go up, and the local economies improve for everyone. It's not a zero-sum situation. That's a lie you've been told by people who want you to protect their interests instead of your own.
And DACA recipients are not low skilled, unemployed immigrants, 91% of them are employed, most either have or are working on college degrees, they have undergone background checks, and paid $500 for the privilege of participating in DACA. At a bit more that 800,000 of them, that's $400,000,000 they've ponied up, on top of the billions of dollars in taxes they pay, and the goddamn FICA taxes they pay with no expectation of ever collecting on the insurance it pays for. Or they are children.
In other words, your racism and xenophobia are stupid and destructive, even to your own stated interests. Fancy that.

Nope, I'm a liberal, and I don't blame you for shit you didn't do. It's the fucked up shit you actually do that I blame you for, like lying all the damn time to protect the worst assholes going.

@9:23: That's not exactly fair. Obama has lots of other accomplishments. He also completely corrupted the IRS, the FBI, and the Justice Department, let the Middle East descend into chaos, and deliberately exacerbated racial tensions until they were as raw and as inflamed as they have ever been in our history.

WE INTERRUPT THIS PROGAM TO BRING YOU THIS SPECIAL BULLETIN:

Some people will resort to anything when trying to tie a legitimate (unstolen) culture to the Europeans.
Clovis people were part of the same Native American Indian tribes that were here before the Europeans arrived.

Clovis people (like all Native Americans) all came from Asia by crossing the land bridge through Siberia, Alaska and then down into what we now call the Americas. DNA has proven this.

The crazy myth that they were of European heritage was disproven through DNA testing. There is no way in hell that they originated in France or anywhere in Europe.

People lie, but DNA shows the truth.

    ANOTHER FACT:
Even the swastika used by "black hating" and "Jew hating" and "gay hating" Neo-Nazis and KKK members originated in India, Asia, and Southeast Asia.....(PEOPLE OF COLOR) And that's also a FACT!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Anonymous5:55 AM

    ORiIGIN OF THE SWASTIKA:
The swastika (as a character 卐 or 卍) is an ancient religious icon originated and was used in the Indian subcontinent, East Asia and Southeast Asia, where it has been and remains a sacred positive symbol of spiritual principles in Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism.

Here in the Western world, it was historically a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck, but in the 1930s,
when the KKK stole the swastika from Asians the KKK started using it as a hate symbol. it became the main feature of Nazi symbolism as an emblem of Aryan race identity, and as a result, it has become stigmatized in the West by association with ideas of racism, hate, and mass murder.

The point Dougie doesn't understand is that automation is eliminating jobs as fast as we can re-shore them.  Generac sent 400 jobs to China, and when the work was re-shored it became... 80 jobs:

    http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-returning-jobs-20140513-story.html

3/4 of lettuce-picking jobs just disappeared:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i62juq8Euk

Warehouse automation gets rid of jobs:

    http://www.latimes.com/projects/la-fi-warehouse-robots/

Japanese robot debones 500 hams per hour without a human in sight:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PMetqi5ijo

The number of immigrants the US needs right now is on the order of negative 40 million.  It needs about the same number of new Blacks.  Radically reduced crowding, much lower rents, less traffic congestion, no more "bad neighborhoods" or "bad schools", crime rates cratered... there is only upside for Americans.

"Every study by any reputable organization that's looked at it has shown that wages don't go down when immigrants move in, they go up"

"Reputable" meaning "globalist propaganda".  Real wages have been stagnant since 1973 and have taken big hits where immigrants have flooded in (e.g. tech areas affected by H-1B visa labor), but Dougie considers any organization that dares to say this "disreputable" because The Narrative says it cannot be true.  His mind has been fully captured by the propaganda, like a good little Maoist.
