Swamp people of a feather flock together.

What Mr.trump just did in Japan was disgusting and reprehensible, even for him.

Can you imagine the president of the United States siding with one of the most evil and despotic regimes in the world's history, over your fellow countryman-and a former Vice President to boot-while on foreign soil? And yet that is exactly what Mr. trump did. It has not hit high enough on the outrage meter as far as I am concerned, but I guess when it comes to this guy nothing can shock us anymore. Breaking News: The president just shot a man to death on a busy New York street. Trump Supporter: He did it for us... . Unbelievable!

Anyway, I am not surprised that Mr. trump admires how they do things in North Korea. Based on a new report from the UN that country is riddled with graft and corruption.

"The United Nations human rights report also accuses Kim Jong-un's government of economic mismanagement, leaving its people fighting to get the basics.
Everyday survival is further hampered by officials demanding bribes, it adds.
North Korea has rejected the report as being "politically motivated for sinister purposes".
The report, entitled The Price is Right is based on interviews carried out with 214 defectors in 2017 and 2018."

Mr. trump and the people in his circle are right  there with Kim Jong-un when it comes to this subject.

Today it was revealed that transportation secretary Elaine Chow still owned stocks that she promised to divest and it netted her a $40,000 gain.    We have also come to learn that Ivanka and Jared Kushner earned over $80 million dollars last year while working in the White House. But wait, as they say on the game shows, it gets better. Kushner's  family owned construction company also got a $800 million federally backed loan to build apartments in Maryland. Now throw in Scott Pruitt's unauthorized use of government funds, and the likes of Zinke, Carson, and Ross playing fast and loose with government ethics rules, and you can see why the king of the swamp admires how the North Koreans do things.

"'I was actually sticking up for Sleepy Joe Biden while on foreign soil. Kim Jong Un called him a ‘low IQ idiot,’ and many other things, whereas I related the quote of Chairman Kim as a much softer “low IQ individual.’ Who could possibly be upset with that?”'

Well your supporters certainly won't be upset Mr. trump. But then nothing you do would upset them. They are cool with letting the swamp people take them for all they have.

Looking at the townhall in Grand Rapids his people were talking about deep states and how Mueller colluded to overthrow trump and how civil war will be the result. Dude, America is a dumb country and they allowed the village idiot to represent them. My money is on Phil from Duck Dynasty to be theRepublican nominee in 2024.

Maybe because it's old, not very interesting news. J Edgar Hoover spent ages trying to smear and defame MLK. Why on Earth would anyone believe anything he or his agents from back in the day had to say?

Get back to us when the FBI's tapes are released. Until then, pretty much any descriptions of them can be assumed to be bullshit until proven otherwise.

Mueller threw gasoline on the impeachment fire in a lame attempt at rehabilitating himself with his Deep State sponsors. He put together an anti-Trump dream team that spent 675 days and $38,000,000 interrogating 501 witnesses and issuing 2,807 subpoenas, but couldn't deliver the goods.

Now the Dems will push forward with impeaching a President for obstructing a politically motivated investigation into a crime that never occurred, a crime they manufactured in order to cover up their own gross abuses of power.

When all the people who haven't yet figured out what is going on see what is happening, the Dems will get absolutely destroyed in 2020.

In a speech, he said, “Increasing export capacity from the Freeport LNG project is critical to spreading freedom gas throughout the world by giving America’s allies a diverse and affordable source of clean energy.”

I guess that sounds better than "ecocidal gas" or "planet-destroying gas" or "homo sapiens extinction gas." Even though all of those names would be more truthful.

No, a crime did occur. Mountains of evidence prove the Russians did steal and selectively release information from the DNC and Clinton campaign to help Trump win the election. Mueller just wasn't able to establish that Trump was involved in any quid-pro-quo deal to pay the Russians for their assistance.

There was every reason for Mueller to have conducted this investigation, and Trump obstructed it, big time. Which does raise some interesting questions about what he had to hide, if it wasn't collusion with agents of the Russian government.

"Maybe because the kinds of ID Republicans want are very hard for many people to get??????"

Not hard for "many people" to get; hard for Democrats to get.

The Democratic electorate skews poorer, which means a sizeable chunk of it do not own cars and so do not need or have state-issued drivers' licenses (they get by on a daily basis with other forms of ID that will allow them to buy stuff, but not to vote). And Republicans know this and are, in fact, working to make it harder to get the legally required form of ID by, say, deliberately closing all the DMVs in areas where Democrats live.

More to the point, THERE HAS NEVER BEEN AN EPIDEMIC OF IN-PERSON VOTER FRAUD THAT WOULD JUSTIFY REQUIRING STATE ID TO VOTE. This is not a real problem. It is another made-up Republican "threat," built on racist lies about hordes of "illegals" voting, which was contrived solely for the purpose of keeping their the GOP in power. It is a method of voter suppression disguised as election security.

Scummy, like everything else the Republican Party does.

  52. If they could win fair elections, they wouldn't need to cheat.

But unless you're a billionaire, their policies are designed to screw you, and since there aren't enough billionaires to win an election, they try to win by suppressing the vote and selling fear to the Pig People.

Fortunately, as demonstrated by the 2018 election, there aren't as many Pig People as there are normal citizens who aren't terrified of brown people and women.

So as long as we all show up, we're OK. But I mean ALL of us, because they do cheat.

2016 was swung by 80,000 people in three states. Kobach's crosscheck probably purged more "Jose Gonzalez's" from the rolls in those states than that, for having the temerity to have similar names to voters in other states. (Hint: "Jose Gonzalez is a very common name among citizens who vote against them.)

Also, Manafort gave polling data from those three states to the Russians on multiple occasions.

And this time they'll do all of that and more because they're terrified, so we have to be ready to beat them by even more than last time; anything less and they won't believe it's real.

Which should be their problem, but they keep talking about trying to make it ours, so perhaps we should take them seriously this time? I know the shit they run on is crazy, but that doesn't slow them down because so are they.

Russia had no effect on the outcome of the 2016 election.

There is no evidence they hacked Hillary's deleted emails and revealed her as the crook she is.

Hillary spent $1,200,000,000 on her campaign, twice what Trump did.

Some Russians spent about $150,000 on a couple of juvenile Facebook ads that almost no one saw.

Meanwhile, Mexico spent millions of dollars encouraging Mexican immigrants in the US to vote against Trump. Millions of illegal aliens voted in the 2016 election.

Pro-Israeli PACs spend tens of millions of dollars trying to influence every US election.

Bill Clinton's 1996 campaign received millions in illegal donations from China’s People’s Liberation Army through Liu Chaoying, a Chinese lieutenant colonel and aerospace executive, funneled through Johnny Chung.

Lots of countries meddle in US elections. Russia is way down on the list.

"Imagine having the same politics as Burger King and Pepsi and thinking you're a revolutionary or a dissident."

Nobody "has the same politics as Burger King and Pepsi."

Burger King and Pepsi are corporations, not people. They don't have any politics whatsoever, beyond not wanting governmental regulations to get in the way of their shareholders' profits.

When they put some junk in an advertisement supporting anti-racism or gay rights or whatever, you do realize they don't actually care about any of that. They have only put that in the ad because it is popular and they are using it to appeal to customers, who do believe those things.

So what this really means is that the majority of the public -- not the "elites" but most regular people -- now hold these views that you find so abhorrent, and you are now in the minority, trying to hold back the tide by undemocratically seizing governmental power and then abusing that power to force your views down the throats of the majority of Americans.

"You should always go above and beyond to accommodate law enforcement when they’re aggressively investigating you for a crime you didn’t commit."

"Go above and beyond" now apparently means "don't tell all your friends and employees to lie to the police."

Words have strange new definitions in wingnut bizarro world.

How many bullshit wingnut conspiracy theories can you get going at once? Apparently, there is no limit. The Internet server space required to hold all the paranoid, crackpotty lies must now rival that of the hardware needed to store the entirety of the planet's porn.

Come to think of it, these theories pretty much ARE porn for you guys. You're probably wanking to some choice Hillary-Benghazi fairy tales right now.

No, I, and an increasing majority of people, believe these things because it is wildly irrational NOT to. It is irrational to hate people for being different from you in trivial ways like skin color or what kind of sex they like.

You are working very hard to justify views that are supported by no meaningful evidence, evidently because they satisfy some warped, dysfunctional psychological need of yours.

Actual historical events (MLK's rapes, rape apologies, and abuse of women): Yup, still relevant to talk about, because MLK is still a thing and has statues, streets and schools named after him.

Politically motivated lies and smears (about Emmett Till's innocence): Never relevant -- cuz they're lies -- and therefore, by definition, still not relevant now.

Because it's rational to be "proud" of sexual deviancy and defining your identity around it.

It's rational to accuse white people of racism who don't want their country demographically changed while applauding non-whites who do want to promote their own ethnic interests by demographically changing white countries.

It's rational to single out one racial group and demonize them culturally while instituting policies that favor all other groups in the name of anti-racism.

And it's It's rational to believe that these values that all align with the global corporatist elite's project to create a deracinated consumerist populace devoid of any cultural diversity and lacking any independent moral framework is actually an expression of your own beliefs.

It is actually irrational to hate people for being different from you in trivial ways like skin color or what kind of sex they like. But it is completely rational to oppose the destruction of your country and your culture by people motivated by hate and profit.

THERE HAS NEVER BEEN AN EPIDEMIC OF IN-PERSON VOTER FRAUD THAT WOULD JUSTIFY REQUIRING STATE ID TO VOTE.

Then Democrats should have no objections to measures preventing it from becoming an "epidemic", or having any serious influence even on close elections, out of respect for democracy.  Right?  Right?

2016 was swung by 80,000 people in three states.

Well, if you need less than 30,000 people per state in just 3 states to swing an election, even a few sniffles of in-person voter fraud is a problem that REQUIRES prevention, right?  RIGHT?

Or is it only wrong when it works against leftist power grabs?

    30,000 isn't a few. It's a ton.

Annual documented voter fraud is literally in single digits. That would only swing an election for a job on the PTA in a no-horse, tumbleweed town.

So no, not right, right. Totally wrong.

Actually no, nothing about that statement is true. Mueller looked into this and found nothing. The FBI has separately investigated these claims and also found nothing.

"Clinton repaid the Chinese 1.2 mil or whatever it was they donated. Drumpf doesn't give back anything."

Clinton was forced to give some of the money back because he got caught. Johnny Chung was convicted of violating election law, and the rest of the people involved fled back to China. The Chinese military still got the satellite technology the wanted from Clinton, though.

Trump hasn't had to give back anything because he never has taken any illegal foreign donations.

Well, yes, since illegal voting and inflated districts favor Democrats, of course they want to address it.

It's the same reason Democrats fight any measures toward increasing election security or controlling the border.

It’s not enough for them to be able to have the society they want in the places they control. They want /you/ to have the society they want, too, and they won’t let anyone opt out.

It has nothing to do with actual diversity, and everything to do with homogenization and centralization.

  90. Well, yes, since illegal voting and inflated districts favor Democrats, of course they want to address it.

Flat out bald face lies. There is virtually no illegal voting not done by wingnuts. You have to have control of congress to be able to gerrymander districts. And wingnuts gerrymandered like there was no tomorrow so they could maintain control of congress forever. Tom Delay is on record saying he planned to keep wingnuts in the majority, and then he was indicted and convicted in his home state of meddling in state politics.

    Democrats never gerrymander.

    ReplyDelete
  92. This isn’t a story. It’s just something I think about often..

Since 1994 is it?, republicans have controlled Congress 18 out of almost 22 years. Democrats had total control of Congress, Senate and the White House 2 of those years. And Democrats had a filibuster proof majority (which means republicans didn’t have the power to stop their agenda) maybe 2 months out of all those years. And that is if they could wheel in Ted Kennedy from his dying bed to vote for something very important. And that is if I understand parliamentary rules correctly and didn’t leave out anything…

Yet republicans have claimed all that time that it’s Democrats who have ruined our country with their spend-a-holic ways and helping the poor too much..

As I understand it, no one but Congress can make and set Government spending. I also understand that only Congress can make laws. Everything begins in Congress I’m told..

It’s been republicans in Congress who have had the power for decades to “make trump’s America great”. Yet republicans in Congress chose to “make America great” for just a a few billionaires.

Can't gerrymander without controlling the house of reprehensible rethuglicunts.
