I am not a parent, so those of you who are might have to help me with my next post.
Tonight my racism chase takes me to the "happiest place on earth", at least for the children.
Now I must confess that when I first heard the story of the children from the Black family (yes, that's the family's name: Black)who got the cold shoulder from the Disney white rabbit, (never liked those Alice in Wonderland characters) I actually thought that it was one of those stories from The Onion, or The Daily Currant. And even when I found out that it was actually true, I didn't put on my Big R track shoes because I did not see a chase coming.
Silly me, I thought it might be my cousins looking for a pay day. But then I heard that Disney offered to pay them some money and have them sign a confidentiality agreement and that they actually refused the offer.
So now I am thinking, are these people too sensitive about the Big R? Could the white rabbit just have been having a bad day? Maybe my little cousin was being rude and cutting up. Maybe the white rabbit didn't even notice that the little rug- rat was black....no, that can't be it. I am looking at a picture of little Elijah now and you cannot mistake his blackness. What if the rabbit himself was black? I wouldn't put it past Disney. They are tricky like that. "Tyrone, do you remember when you were in the rabbit costume this past summer? No sir, I just started working here a week ago. Tyrone, do you want to continue working here? Yes sir. Well then you were in that white rabbit costume this past summer". Let me stop.
So I am also thinking to myself: is it cool to cry racism over every perceived diss from Mr. Charlie? Maybe not. Some cases of racism you chalk up to America being America and keep it popping. I am thinking of the case in New York where my cousins were charged more for getting into an upscale club and allegedly humiliated by the bouncers.
Maybe you Negroes shouldn't be trying so hard to get into a club where you are not wanted. Next time call up your friends and make your own party happen. But I digress.
But this kid out in Disneyland. This is a little different. This is a child, and I am sure that his parents dropped some good coin to get him to one of the holy sites for kids here in America. (The other being that other Disney parent trap in Florida) The poor kid was probably all hyped up to be in Disneyland only to be dissed by the rabbit. Disney ought to train their people better than that. "But field, how do you know the family isn't lying? Because whatever happened in that theme park is on video, and the folks at Disney have already watched it a thousand times. Believe me when I tell you that Disney wouldn't have offered all kinds of goodies and requested a "confidentiality agreement" if something didn't happen. Besides, as is always the case in these types of situations; it looks like the flood gates have opened. Now it's Donald Duck allegedly dissing my little cousins.
"The lawyer for a black San Diego family that claimed they were discriminated against by a Disney character during a trip to Disneyland said he's received dozens of calls from people alleging the same thing.
"I've gotten many emails and voicemails that I'm looking into. What this tells me is this isn't an isolated incident," attorney Dan Gilleon told San Diego's ABC 10 News.
"It doesn't mean Disneyland is racist, but they have some people in the company who aren't playing by the rules and are being discriminatory."
On Thursday, a second family came forward to say their two children were ignored by someone playing Donald Duck during a trip to the Magic Kingdom in December.
Nastasia White, who is black, told 10 News the person in the duck suit ignored two requests to take a photo with her children, Razzi, 5, and Ryder, 2, and played with white children instead.
"[Razzi] was sitting there with his arms open, saying, 'Donald, Donald!'" White, of Los Angeles, said.
White told the station she wasn't overreacting because the character's brush-off "was done in a blatant and ugly way."
The Poor kids are scarred for life. How do you get over being dissed by one of your favorite Disney Characters?
I guess one way is to make sure that mommy and daddy gets paid so that they can afford a very good therapist.

Los Angeles, we have a problem.
So this LL Cool J look-alike is picking off cops and innocent civilians out in L.A.
This is not good. I don't like when you Negroes go rogue. (Especially not big bald headed ones.)Cops already have the trigger finger and they are shooting innocent people who aren't even big bald headed black guys. (If you happen to be reading this in the L.A. area and drive a Nissan Titan, you might want to put that bad boy in the garage for awhile.)
This dude is doing his best John Allen Muhammad impression, because according to his manifesto, the LAPD did him wrong. Like Muhammad, this Christopher Jordan Dorner fellow was trained in the military, and like Muhammad, he clearly has some other issues.
The thing is, I believe a lot of what he wrote in his manifesto about the LAPD being less than on the up and up, but that doesn't give him the right to take the life of the innocent child of one of the people who he thought wronged him, or to act as judge and executioner towards the others
The LAPD chief says "he knows what he is doing" because they trained him, well, for their sake, I hope that they didn't train him too well.
Hang on East Coast; I think another storm is coming our way. In Baaastan they are expecting 2 feet of snow. Good luck with that. I love living on the East Coast, because I like the changing seasons and I love getting ready for the spring after the cold winter months. I am from Jamaica, but I am no fan of darn near the same weather pattern 365 days of the year. I am still not sure why folks retire to places like Florida and Arizona. "Field, it's to get away from the snow that's about to wallop you".
Still, all these winter storms are getting to be a bit much. I honestly think that I might have to reconsider my retirement plans.

Marco and Pac.
"Keep a vest for protection, from the barrel of a Smith & Wesson/ And all my n----s in the pen, here we go again/ Ain't nothin' separatin' us from a Mack-10."
Those are lyrics from Marco Rubio's favorite rapper, the now deceased (yes Negroes, he is dead) Tupac Shakur. I have to tell you, I have a new found respect for Rubio. He did a good job of defending his love and appreciation of gangsta rap and giving his take on the Biggie vs. 2Pac debate.
Watch out dems, this Rubio dude has some political skills. Now I even hear that he will be giving the republicans response to the State of the Union address next week. (Can that star rise any faster?) You better not blow this one Marco; your response can make you or break you. Just ask Governor Jindal.
Now if he can just get out of his own primary he should be a formidable opponent in 2016. Sadly for him, I am not sure how Bubba and Billy Bob will feel about their candidate for president liking rap music.
"How do you want it? How does it feel?Comin up as a nigga in the cash game
livin in the fast lane; I'm for real"
Marco, I know you are for real, and I am guessing that Hillary isn't feeling too good right about now.
Finally, the next story falls into the truly sad category.
So let me get this straight, you have a three year old in your house, and you own a gun that happens to be pink, and yet the gun is not locked away to prevent the three year old from being able to get to it.
"Temorej Smith, a 3-year-old boy from Greenville, S.C., fatally shot himself with a pink handgun he thought was a toy, WYFF-4 reports. Police ruled the Friday night shooting an accident.
The boy was in the bedroom and his grandparents were in the living room when the gun went off. His parents were not home at the time of the shooting. Johnathan Bragg of the Greenville Police Department said that officers found that they boy had been shot when they arrived at the scene. No one is in custody but the investigation is ongoing. Police have not officially said who fired the weapon.
“If you have guns, if you own guns mostly we would prefer you have them in a lock box,” Bragg said. “At least have them out of the reach of children.”Jack Logan, a local activist who founded the group “Put Down the Guns Young People,” handed out gun locks at a Burger King, just down the street from where the young boy lost his life." Bob's secret obsession and pass the ammunition plate.
One of the beautiful things about having the n****r on a horse in the White House is that it makes it really hard for racists to contain themselves. Racists don't even care about their jobs anymore. Their true colors (pun intended) have been on full display since the current couple now residing at 1600 Pennsylvania, Avenue took up residence there.
Take, for instance, the case of the football coach and school teacher down in Alabama.
"Lauderdale County High School head football coach Bob Grisham (pictured) has been suspended without pay for making an insulting remark about the First Lady’s posterior and spewing negative comments about gays during a psychology class discussion that took place last month in Rogersville, Ala., reports The TimesDaily.
Grisham, who also teaches psychology and driver’s ed, criticized the First Lady’s physique by stating, “Look at her. She looks like she weighs 185 or 190. She’s overweight!”
Male voices are overheard interjecting comments during the discussion, with one referring to Mrs. Obama as a “fat gorilla.”
Holding the distinguished honor of Coach of the Year for leading his team, the Tigers, to the state’s semi-finals last year, Grisham then took his rant further left by discussing gays in the classroom, stating, “I don’t believe in queers. I don’t like queers, I don’t hate them as a person, but what they do is wrong and an abomination against God.” [Source]
The coach was suspended for ten days without pay for his rant. I am quite sure that the good folks of Lauderdale County will take up a collection in church next Sunday morning for him.
Speaking of church, if you happen to live in the state of Arkansas and you believe that the devil will send his angels in human form to disrupt your church going experience, you now have a right to take your glock along with your bible when you are heading to the house of worship. Whatever happened to Exodus 14:14?
"The Arkansas House of Representatives has overwhelmingly passed a measure that would allow concealed guns to be carried in churches and houses of worship, and the governor’s office says it plans to sign the bill.
The measure, which passed 85-8 on Monday, gives houses of worship the option of allowing concealed weapons.
Passed by the state Senate in an equally lopsided 28-4 vote last week, the bill states it is “immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety” because “personal security is increasingly important.”
“A person should be allowed to carry a firearm in a church that permits the carrying of a firearm for personal security,” the bill reads.
The bill was originally sponsored by Republican state Sen. Bryan King from Green Forest, a rural town in northern Arkansas. In an interview with CNN, he called churches "soft targets" that deserved to be able to protect themselves." [Source]
I thought that was God's job.

"Black Mystery Month".
Black History Month, once again, is upon us. I personally prefer how my twitter fam is choosing to highlight it. They have a little thing called "BlackMysteryMonth" that has been trending and folks have put some interesting tweets out there around it.
Here are some of my favorites:
"Ferrari Sheppard @stopbeingfamous
@stopbeingfamous why is the general relationship between Africa and *African* Americans so distant? #BlackMysteryMonth
Lorena Bobbitt@LorenaBobbitt__
Kincannon’s tweets largely involved “jokes” about Trayvon Martin, dick-sucking, Hurricane Katrina, and black people.
'This Super Bowl sucks more dick than adult Trayvon Martin would have for drug money'
After receiving much criticism for his Trayvon Martin remark, Kincannon dug in deeper, thrice more invoking the shooting victim’s name as a punchline:
'Hey what's the difference between Trayvon Martin and a dead baby? They're both dead, but Pepsi doesn't taste like Trayvon.'
And, given the mid-game blackout, Kincannon took the opportunity to make a “joke” about the arena and its use as shelter for the “poors” among New Orleans’ majority black population during Hurricane Katrina. There are more tweets. [Source]
I am still waiting from that official statement from the South Carolina (or any) GOP disowning this clown, but so far.... *crickets*. How about one of you conservative black folks? Any takers? Mr. Scott, you are a Senator from South Carolina, any comments about your fellow South Carolinian? *More crickets.*
Just a thought, but you republicans might want to lay off twitter for awhile.
Here are some of my favorites:
"Ferrari Sheppard
Why do black people have to constantly reassure a violent aggressor that they themselves will remain nonviolent? #BlackMysteryMonth
Rozan Ahmed@IamRozan
Catherine Jane @catherinecochra
Did not watch the overrated money hungry game of football. Why don't we discuss how it's a form of modern slavery? #BlackMysteryMonth
World Trade @RoyKinsey
They better not kill Muhammad Ali this month. Last year it was Whitney. #BlackMysteryMonth
Why do you have 3 kids by 3 different people and never had the commitment of marriage? #BlackMysteryMonth
What did black people believe in before they became Christians and Muslims? #BlackMysteryMonth"
There are lots of black mysteries out there.
Seriously, the fact that we still have a Black History Month in America speaks volumes.
But back to twitter for a minute.
"During last night’s Super Bowl, former South Carolina GOP executive director Todd Kincannon sent out a flurry of racially-charged tweets, stirring controversy among social media users.

The B Bowl.
It looks like it might be a second Super Bowl for Ray Ray and the boyz. Might. You never leave the opera until the fat lady sings, but it's just not looking good for the more hyper of the two Harbaugh brothers.
I just caught Beyonce's half time show. (They are calling it the Beyonce Bowl on twitter.) That Louisiana mama can sure shake her "money maker" and work those heels. If she lip- synced this time I didn't even notice. I loved the Bogle routine and the Dancehall number. Nice to see the Jamaican influence in full effect. This performance should quiet the haters for awhile, B.
Speaking of Jamaicans, I also finally saw that VW commercial with the white dude faking the Jamaican accent because he is happy. I am still trying to figure out where this happy Jamaican stereotype came from. It's not those silly Red Stripe beer commercials, the perception started way earlier than that. Maybe it was that stupid ass "Cool Runnings" movie, or the Jamaican Tourist Board pushing the "Jamaica, no problem mon", slogan.
Now, to be fair, it is totally plausible that a very white dude could be Jamaican. I went to high school with German, Syrian, and Chinese Jamaicans who were all very proud of their Jamaican roots. The motto of the country is "Out Of Many One People", so it's not that far-fetched that a white dude could be speaking in deep Jamaican patois. Still, I suspect that the folks making the ad on Madison Avenue did not know this. Their motivation was the idea of the happy- go- lucky Island man who doesn't have a problem with anything.
Anyway, as I tweeted earlier, if you think that all Jamaicans are happy all the time, take a trip to Tivoli Gardens, Grants Pen, or Arnett Gardens. (These guys aren't rapping about being happy.) You probably won't want to buy a Volkswagen when you get home.

A setback for the "Skeeters"?
That Barack Obama sure is one sneaky dude. Now, to quell the controversy over his alleged skeet shooting at Camp David, (I see you Erin Burnett. I am still wondering why you aren't over at the FAKE NEWS station.) the White House has released doctored photos of him....skeet shooting.
"By DARLENE SUPERVILLE, Associated Press
WASHINGTON (AP) — Two days before President Barack Obama's first trip outside Washington to promote his gun-control proposals, the White House tried Saturday to settle a brewing mystery by releasing a photo to back his claim to be a skeet shooter.
Obama had set inquiring minds spinning when, in an interview with The New Republic magazine, he answered "yes" when asked if he had ever fired a gun. The admission came as a surprise to many.
"Yes, in fact, up at Camp David, we do skeet shooting all the time," Obama said in the interview released last weekend, referring to the official presidential retreat in rural Maryland, which he last visited in October while campaigning for re-election. Asked whether the entire family participates, the president said: "Not the girls, but oftentimes guests of mine go up there." [Source]
Those are some powerful people in the White House, they even have the AP in on the scam with them. But, unlike the birthers, these Skeeters will not be played. We need Donald Trump to spend some of his loot and get some experts to check those photos right away. I bet they are as fake as that phony birth certificate that he tried to run by the Donald.(Just watch, they will change the narrative now to how often he actually went skeet shooting.)
Seriously, if those photos are in fact real, I personally have to wonder why they (the White House) even bothered releasing them. I don't like the imagery, O. Pandering to the gun nut crowd is not cool. A picture of you at Hadiya Pendelton's funeral would have been more like what I wanted to see. That, and a* stirring eulogy along with a call for all of us in the black community to start taking responsibility for our children. You should be working overtime from the bully pulpit on that issue, but instead you are trying to prove to wingnuts that you actually shoot skeets every now and then. *scratching my very bald head*
Skeet shooting and bowling? Man the things you do to make some folks love you.

White and scary.
Oh lawd! Please tell me that the race war isn't here already. I honestly wasn't ready for this. At least give a brotha a chance to get his papers right so that he can head back down to the Islands. You Aryans are no joke. Note to self: Stay close to well populated urban areas with a large minority population.
When you (allegedly) start gunning down officers of the court, we might just have a problem.
"A prosecutor was killed after getting shot five times near the courthouse in a small Texas town on Thursday morning, and two suspects remain on the loose.
The victim has been identified as Mark Hasse, 57, an assistant district attorney for Kaufman County.
Hasse was exiting his car on his way to court in Kaufman, a town of fewer than 7,000, when he was approached by two suspects just before 9 a.m., the Dallas Morning News reported. The shooting took place in a parking lot where many prosecutors and judges park. Hasse was taken away in ambulance, though it remains unclear whether he died at the hospital or en route.
...It remains unclear whether the assistant district attorney was investigating members of the Aryan Brotherhood at the time of his death. Sources told the Morning News that Hasse was "heavily involved" in investigations regarding the white supremacist group.
District Attorney Mike McLelland confirmed that his department has been involved in Aryan Brotherhood cases in the last two years. McLelland, however, told the newspaper that his 13 attorneys handle about 380 to 390 cases at a time and that, as far as he knew, Hasse was not investigating any such cases at the time of the shooting.
Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center said the shooting would have dire consequences if it was connected to the Aryan Brotherhood.
"If this really was an assassination by the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas, we are about to see a war begin," Potok told the Daily News on Thursday. [Source]
"A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."
If it was the Aryan Brotherhood who killed this poor man as is alleged; he must have been a "tyrant".
Still, there is one person who we know that folks like the Aryan Brotherhood and their friends on the right view as a tyrant: Barack Obama.
The wife of one elected official in Idaho did a wonderful job of describing how people of her ilk see the president.
"Brent Regan (pictured), a Coeur D’Alene, Idaho, school board trustee, recently apologized for recalling a private conversation he had with his wife to an audience of politicos and the general public, where he said his spouse likened President Barack Obama to a rifle and described him as being “Black and scary,” reports KHQ News."
That's funny, I see the Aryans as white and scary, but my fear is justified.
"Black and scary"? Naw, I don't think so, if I may go back to Django for a minute; you are just not used to seeing a "N****r on a horse."
(h/t Tia)

"Everybody got guns."
"You got a gun. I got a gun. He got a gun. Everybody got guns"
Those classic lines were from Gyp Rosetti in an episode of Boardwalk Empire after a good old fashion gangster standoff. Of course he could have been talking about the citizens of America in 2013. Everybody in America got guns; even kids in middle school.
But then it's not only middle school students. Now seven year old kids are packing as well. Sadly, though, when everybody has a gun, tragic things happen. Like, for instance, you leave little Johnny in the car to go and pump some gas, and he shoots himself in the head with the gun you were keeping in the car for protection from those gang bangers.
A 3-year-old boy fatally shot himself with a gun he found in a car while his family stopped for gas early Wednesday in Tacoma, police said. It was western Washington's third recent shooting by a child.
"It is incredible in light of the other ones," said Tacoma police Officer Naveed Benjamin. "You would think people would take more care, not less."
The Tacoma-area family had stopped for gas about 12:30 a.m. The father put his pistol under the seat and got out to pump gas while the mother went inside the convenience store, Benjamin said. [Source]
Here in Philly it's pretty easy to get a gun. Most kids in the hood can get a gun easier than they can a nice bicycle. Guns are so plentiful here that young mothers going to school put them in their diaper bags right along with the formula and baby wipes.
"A young mother carried her baby, along with a loaded gun in a diaper bag, into a Philadelphia school where she had gone to sign up for classes, police said, one of two gun-in-school incidents reported in the city as the national debate on gun control raged in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., massacre.
In the second incident Thursday, a high school student hid a gun in his shoe, but it was found when he walked through a metal detector. His gun was not loaded.
But the weapon carried by 21-year-old Kelly Jones in the bottom of her pink-and-white diaper bag was fully loaded, police say, and Jones -- who was accompanied by her aunt and her baby when she was caught with it -- now faces criminal charges. [Source]
Of course it was "fully loaded". What else did you expect? Cock it and pop it. That's how we get down here in the "city of brotherly love".
Finally, speaking of guns; as of me writing this post that survivalist nut job in Alabama still has that young boy held hostage in his bunker.
"The superintendent's assistant said the young boy still being held by the gunman appeared to have been chosen at random.
"Emotions are high, and it's a struggle for us all to make sense of something so senseless, but let us keep this young student, his family and Mr. Poland's family in our thoughts and prayers," Bynum said in a statement.
The Southern Poverty Law Center reported on its Hatewatch blog that a chief investigator with the Dale County Sheriff's Office identified the gunman as 65-year-old Jimmy Lee Dykes, although Reuters could not independently verify the gunman's identity.
Investigator Tim Byrd said Dykes' friends and neighbors described him as a "survivalist" who did not trust the government, according to the law center blog.
"He was standoffish, didn't socialize or have any contact with anybody," Byrd told Hatewatch." [Source]
I bet he watches a lot of FOX NEWS. Or maybe he cut back after fellow survivalist Glenn Beck, left.
Let that little boy go Jimmy Lee! He is not a part of the government.
"ATLANTA (AP) — A student opened fire at his middle school Thursday afternoon, wounding a 14-year-old in the neck before an armed officer working at the school was able to get the gun away, police said.
Multiple shots were fired in the courtyard of Price Middle School just south of downtown around 1:50 p.m. and the one boy was hit, Atlanta Police Chief George Turner said. In the aftermath, a teacher received minor cuts, he said.
The wounded boy was taken "alert, conscious and breathing" to Grady Memorial Hospital, said police spokesman Carlos Campos. He was expected to be released Thursday night.
Police swarmed the school of about 400 students after reports of the shooting while a crowd of anxious parents gathered in the streets, awaiting word on their children. Students were kept at the locked-down school for more than two hours before being dismissed.
Investigators believe the shooting was not random and that something occurred between the two students that may have led to it." [Source]

Mr. President, you have a daughter, and she looks like Hadiya.
This is crazy. I just blogged about all the killings in Chicago last night and sadly I learned that a beautiful young lady who actually performed for president Obama's inauguration, was taken from us by some low life thug who was dropped off by some sperm donor. If hearing about the Newtown tragedies was the saddest day of Mr. Obama's presidency, hearing about this little girl should be the second saddest. Actually, given the fact that she was shot just a mile from his home in Chicago, and that she actually performed at his "coronation" ,you could argue that this little girl's death should hit home even more. He has a beautiful daughter who is almost her age. From all appearances this poor child represented everything that was good about being a young teenager: Honor student, volley ball player, and a majorette in the King College Prep High School band. Sadly, though, she is no longer with us.
"Police say 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton was shot in the back Tuesday and later died at University of Chicago Comer Children's Hospital. An unidentified boy was shot in the leg and is being treated at the hospital. No arrests have been made." [Source]
"If I had a son he would look like Trayvon." Mr. President, you have a daughter, and she looks just like Hadiya.
And the beat goes on. Not only in a hood near you, but in all of Americana. In Phoenix, Arizona today, some old dude shot up an office complex and is still on the loose. In Midland, Alabama, some nut case went on a school bus, took a six year old child, and shot the school bus driver to death. (The NRA now calling for armed school bus drivers in 5...4...3..2..) That genius is still hiding out in a Glenn Beck style survival bunker.
All this on a day when the Senate Judiciary Committee held hearings in Washington on gun control. There was Gabby Giffords, who was lucky to survive a shooting herself making a passionate plea to lawmakers to use common sense.
And, of course, there was Wayne LaPierre. It's amazing that the cuffs on his white shirt stayed so clean with all the blood on his hands.

Bury your children and shut up.
You gotta love those gun nut folks. I still can't believe that they heckled the father of a six year old child who was slaughtered at Newtown.
"Parents of children killed in the Newtown school shooting called for better enforcement of gun laws and tougher penalties for violators Monday at a hearing that revealed the divide in the gun-control debate, with advocates for gun rights shouting at the father of one 6-year-old victim.
Neil Heslin, whose son Jesse was killed in last month's massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary, asked people in the room to put themselves in his position as he questioned the need for any civilian to own semiautomatic, military-style weapons.
"It's not a good feeling. Not a good feeling to look at your child laying in a casket or looking at your child with a bullet wound to the forehead. It's a real sad thing," said Heslin, who held up a large framed photograph of himself and his son." [Source]
And speaking of guns, I need to know just WTF is going on in Chicago? Eighteen murders over the first ten days of the year and five murders this past weekend alone. Last year you hit the 500 murder mark in the windy city. It couldn't be because the Cubs suck. They have sucked for awhile now, and you all weren't shooting each other like the city is one big f*****g violent video game until recently.
Over at my man Rippa's website he has the story of a woman who lost four children to gun violence. FOUR! Mr. Obama, you should be crying with that lady at a press conference in the White House. You are from Chicago, maybe the knuckle heads there will listen to you, because they sure as hell ain't listening to anybody else.
Anyway, we need to come up with some serious answers to these killings taking place in some of these cities across America. (And I don't mean the dumb s*** that racist conservatives like Bill O'Reilly like to say. Bill doesn't think that it's bad parenting, poverty, easy access to guns, or any of those issues that is causing the uptick in gun violence. No sir, Bill believes that it's because "white people stopped buying drugs in the hood". Brilliant!)
Hopefully we can find some solutions quickly, or places like Chicago will be ghost towns before we know it.
*On a personal note, I will be on the aforementioned Rippa's blog cast tomorrow night talking about gun control and the issue of urban violence. I don't like to do blog talk radio, but Rippa and I go way back, so it's all good.
Just this once, yawdie.
