FOX NEWS is a "no-go zone".

Over at FOX VIEWS there is a new catch phrase being used to scare their very pale and very old viewers: "No-go zone". (h/t to my twitter fam, Mcbiff)

According to FOX these "zones" are now all over Europe, and they are places where Muslims have taken over and are terrorizing all those who dare enter. FOX went on for an entire week with this foolishness and it got so bad that the French and the British had to jump in and tell the world how clueless these so-called journalists really are.

FOX went as far as to declare that an entire British city was being overrun by Muslims, and that Sharia law was now being officially practiced there.

"And in Britain, it’s not just no-go zones, there are actual cities like Birmingham that are totally Muslim where non-Muslims just simply don’t go in,”.... “And parts of London, there are actually Muslim religious police that actually beat and actually wound seriously anyone who doesn’t dress according to Muslim, religious Muslim attire. So there’s a situation that Western Europe is not dealing with.”'

Lord have mercy!  Where do they get these people?

Honestly, if we are going to be real with ourselves, the FOX VIEWS folks might be on to something.

There are actually "no- go zones" right here in America. They are called ghettos.  Or, let me rephrase that: "urban areas". *laughing*

One of the beautiful things of living in cities such as Philadelphia is being able to use "no-go zones" to your advantage. The easiest way to avoid traffic in and around the city is to drive through "no-go zones" in order to get from point A to point B by avoiding the major highways.

These "no-go" zone streets will be empty because "suburban" commuters will not drive through these urban "no-go zones", even if it will cut substantial time off of their commute.

Anyway, I am glad to announce that there might be a positive end to this story, as FOX VIEWS has finally apologized for lying about "no-go zones" in Europe.

"The network specifically corrected terror expert Steve Emerson's claim that there are "no-go zones" in Europe "where non-Muslims just simply don't go in."

"Over the course of this last week, we have made some regrettable errors on-air regarding the Muslim population in Europe — particularly with regard to England and France," Fox News anchor Julie Banderas said on Saturday. "Now, this applies especially to discussions of so-called 'no-go zones,' areas where non-Muslims allegedly aren't allowed in and police supposedly won't go. To be clear, there is no formal designation of these zones in either country, and no credible information to support the assertion that there are specific areas in these countries that exclude individuals based solely on their religion."

"There are certainly areas of high crime in Europe, as there are in the United States and other countries where police and visitors enter with caution," she continued. "We deeply regret the errors and apologize to any and all who may have taken offense, including the people of France and England."

Of course they will not apologize to their faithful viewers who the have already scared.

But, as we all know, this was the plan all along.

Jamal does the right thing but Chancellor does not.

Couple of wild stories tonight.

The first one comes from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where one of my little cousins made me proud.

"A Florida police department is honoring a teenager for his role in saving the life of the cop who arrested him.

Jamal Rutledge, 17, was sitting with his hands cuffed behind his back in a booking area of the Fort Lauderdale Police Department last September when Officer Franklin Foulks keeled over.
Surveillance footage shows the young man, who was suspected of violating juvenile probation, walk over to the locked door of the security fence and start kicking it, yelling to alert other officers that Foulks was in distress.

“The teen is being recognized with doing the right thing when presented with a challenging circumstance,” Detective DeAnna Greenlaw said in an interview with Yahoo News.

After hearing the noise, Sgt. Todd Bunin saw Foulks semiconscious on the floor, clutching his chest, so he alerted police dispatch to send the city’s fire rescue department.

Bunin, understanding that time was of the essence, removed Foulks’ police gear and cut off his shirt. Two other officers, Robert Norvis and Raymond Ketchmark, overheard Bunin’s radio transmissions and rushed to the scene to help.

Norvis administered CPR and Ketchmark used a defibrillator to electronically stimulate the officer’s heart.

Fire rescue workers arrived and brought Foulks to the Broward Health Medical Center, where staff attributed his survival largely to the actions of Rutledge and the other officers.

Rutledge, who was on probation for alleged criminal mischief and burglary, was taken into custody for violating that probation and his home detention, authorities said.

Fort Lauderdale police declined to comment on the specifics of his September arrest because he is a minor and that information is protected under the state’s “Sunshine” law.

Greenlaw did, however, note that Rutledge has been arrested multiple times since September." [Source]

Rutledge's actions were field Negro worthy. Now let's hope that he can get his life together. "Multiple arrests" at 17 is not good.

The other story comes from my adopted hometown of Philadelphia.

"Philadelphia man chased his ex-girlfriend around a terminal Tuesday, following her into the woman's bathroom, in an attempt to swab her for a paternity test.

In a scene worthy of the 'Maury Show,' Elonte Chancellor-Brown, 22, chased his 19-year-old girlfriend around the 69th Street Terminal demanding a DNA swab from her in order to get a paternity test on their child, police say."

Chancellor-Brown and Raashan Coleman, 27, were given harassment citations after police received a 911 call from a woman claiming she had locked herself in a bathroom stall at the terminal to get away from a man with a gun, Philadelphia Daily News reports.

'Brown was attempting to get a DNA swab from one of the victims as they have a child together and he was conducting a paternity test,' Michael Chitwood, Upper Darby Police superintendent, told Daily News." [Source]

Ok, so Elonte's behavior was not field Negro like.

Dude, why are you chasing your alleged child's mother all around the 69th Street Terminal? If you have doubts about the child being yours, why don't you both sit down together like civilized human- beings and amicably get a DNA test, together?

"The victims went into the woman's bathroom to escape but the men followed them inside and the women locked themselves in one of the stalls.

Police responded and chased the men out of the bathroom, taking them into custody. Police say neither of the men had a weapon, Daily News reports.

The man never got the DNA swab, police say, and it remains unknown whether Chancellor-Brown is the child's father."

Oh my! All this "baby mama drama".

I swear some of my cousins make me want to holla sometimes.

Her "sex presence" is driving them crazy.

I know that we shouldn't, but most of us have  things or people that we obsess over either publicly or, at times, privately.

When I first started this blog I was obsessed with finding Lark Voorhies, you know Lark, right? She was Lisa Turtle on Saved by the Bell back in the day. Anyway, thanks to the growing popularity of the blog, I finally found her. And all I can say is be careful what you wish for.

But I digress. Back to obsessions.

Conservatives, like the rest of us normal people, have obsessions as well. Lately their attention has been focused on a very attractive singer/dancer/actress/ from Houston, Texas, who happens to be linked up with a famous rapper.

I wish I knew why old white conservative men love Beyoncé so much. But I think we would all need a psychiatrist to sit us down and explain that one to us. I suspect that if this was 1815 and not 2015, Beyoncé would be pushing out little mixed babies while stashed away on a plantation down South somewhere.

"Future GOP candidate for president, Mike Huckabee, claims that the Obamas are bad parents because the let their kids listen to Beyoncé. Mr. Huckabee calls Beyoncé's music, "sex music" .

"... not only do they let Malia (16) and Sasha (13) listen to Beyonce, they let them go to Beyoncé concerts and be in her sex presence."

Well their father has been in her "sex presence" (????) himself a few times, but how is that exactly a bad thing? I bet that Mike wouldn't mind being in her "sex presence" himself.

If I was in Lark's "sex presence" before she got...well, different, I would have been delighted. (Digression alert.)

And then there is Bill O'Reilly, this guy has had a serious Beyoncé jones for awhile now.

"Beyoncé Knowles-Carter doesn’t deserve to be named one of TIME Magazine’s most influential people, according to Fox News host Bill O’Reilly, because her new album is promoting sex before marriage within the black community.

O’Reilly, who has been particularly concerned about Beyoncé’s “raunchy” new album since the music video for her song “Partition” was released, disapproves of TIME’s decision to put the singer on the cover of its annual “100 Most Influential People” issue. On his show on Friday, O’Reilly suggested that Beyoncé isn’t helping to address the “cultural deficits” in African American and poor white communities and is actually “part of the problem.”

Poor Beyoncé,  all girlfriend wants to do is entertain, but she is being held up as a symbol for black single motherhood.

I wonder if this guy was held to such a standard when he was gyrating his hips and breaking the hearts of young teenage girls all over the country.

Naw,  I bet not.

"The sort-of genesis of Fox Newsers criticizing Beyoncé for questionable material was back in 2010, when Fox contributor Sandy Rios and Bill O’Reilly went after the music video for Lady Gaga‘s “Telephone,” which featured Beyoncé. Rios had said to Megyn Kelly, “We’ve got Beyoncé and Gaga, gay and lesbian lovers. I mean, it’s disgusting"

"Disgusting"!?

I twill be the judge of that.

"Sticks and stones."

"54 people were arrested in France as of Wednesday for “apologizing for terrorism” in the wake of the attack on the Charlie Hebdo office last week that left a dozen dead. French authorities also announced the country would crack down on what the Associated Press summarized as “hate speech, anti-Semitism and glorifying terrorism.”

The 54 arrested were rounded up for making or defending terrorist threats in the last week; some have already been sentenced under emergency guidelines.

One person hauled in was Dieudonné M’bala M’bala, a controversial French comedian who sympathized with one of the Paris gunmen in a Facebook post. “Tonight, as far as I’m concerned, I feel like Charlie Coulibaly,” he wrote, mixing Charlie Hebdo with the last name of the man who took hostage a Jewish deli. He has since deleted the post.

Dieudonné (his stage name) has been convicted of anti-Semitism under France’s harsh laws against anti-Semitic speech; his stage show was banned last year for Holocaust jokes. He gained international notoriety after he popularized a Nazi-like salute that was then made by French soccer player Nicolas Anelka.

Government spokesperson Stephane Le Foll said France was also considering Patriot Act-like measures, including wiretapping, to further combat terror plots — as well as urban projects to fight inequality, where it feels violence and hatred foments." [Source]

??????????

OK, I thought they just had a big "freedom of speech" rally in France.

Shouldn't all speech be free? Or is this the French equivalent to crying fire in a crowded theater?

I guess all "free speech" isn't the same.

Let's see how many pundits, comedians, and celebrities now come to the defense of  Dieudonné M’bala M’bala.  Because, sadly, as offensive and despicable as this guy is, he should still have the right to speak freely.

I just think that it's kind of ironic that the right-wingnuts got all over the Obama administration for implying that a cartoon could have sparked some of the anger over Benghazi, and that some of the same people are now saying that radical extremists shouldn't be allowed to kill people and cause terror because of an offensive cartoon in a print publication.

Just watch those "Patriot Act- like" measures people, sometimes they can have "unintended consequences. "

Steve didn't own any slaves, and Randy thinks that the president is jut like Hitler.

You can never know what is really in a person's heart, but you can always get an idea by their actions.

For instance, if someone says that they are not a racist or that they don't hold views on matters of race that are repugnant to the rest of us, always judge them by their actions.

You know where this is going, right? Yep, Steve Scalise, the majority whip who has now taken his Stormfront act to Washington.

"Six years before he spoke to a white supremacist group, while he was a state legislator, House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) voted against a resolution apologizing for slavery, according to a 1996 article from New Orleans's Times-Picayune.

Scalise later backed a watered-down version that expressed “regret” for slavery. But the article identifies him as one of two lawmakers on the Louisiana House and Governmental Affairs Committee who tried to kill the original resolution, which apologized to African-Americans for the state’s role “in the establishment and maintenance of the institution of slavery.”

According to the paper, Scalise argued that there was no reason to apologize for something that had been done more than a century ago, before he was born.

Why are you asking me to apologize for something I didn't do and had no part of?” Scalise is quoted as saying in the newspaper. “I am not going to apologize for what somebody else did.” [Source]

That is a popular refrain from the racialist: "I didn't own slaves. Why should I feel bad or apologize for something that was done to them?"

Ok, if this was the only thing that Steve Scalise said-- or did--- I would be inclined to at least listen when house Negroes like Cedric Richmond declare that they know him and can vouch for his racist- free heart.

But when you vote against a holiday for Martin Luther (the) King, and speak to a group of white supremacist, you have pretty much hit the racist trifecta in my book.

Honestly, it just might be time for your party to start looking for another whip.

Staying with my friends in the republican party, I am moved to write about yet another congressman who was elected by the people of Texas to go to Washington and pass laws that would benefit them.

Unfortunately for them, though, this particular gentleman (and I use that term loosely) is more concerned with taking politics into the gutter with his inflammatory and obscene  rhetoric.

"Congressional Democrats and Jewish groups had denounced the comment Rep. Randy Weber sent on his official Twitter account Monday night.

"I need to first apologize to all those offended by my tweet," the Texas congressman said in a written statement, which he also tweeted. "It was not my intention to trivialize the Holocaust nor to compare the President to Adolf Hitler."

The tweet on @TXRandy14 read: "Even Adolph Hitler thought it more important than Obama to get to Paris. (For all the wrong reasons.) Obama couldn't do it for right reasons"

It refers to the German leader's tour of the vanquished city after his troops invaded in World War II, and Obama's failure to join dozens of world leaders at an anti-terror march through Paris on Sunday.

In demanding an apology, Rep. Steve Israel, a Democrat, called the tweet "vile" and said it "stoops to a new low level by desecrating the victims of the Holocaust to make a political point."

Robert Singer, chief executive of the World Jewish Congress, said that "putting Mr. Obama on a level with the most evil mass murderer of all times crosses a red line."

In his statement, Weber said that "the mention of Hitler was meant to represent the face of evil that still exists in the world today."

"I now realize that the use of Hitler invokes pain and emotional trauma for those affected by the atrocities of the Holocaust and victims of anti-Semitism and hate," he said.

Asked Tuesday if he had any reaction to Weber's Tweet, White House spokesman Josh Earnest replied, "I don't." [Source]

Mr. Weber, you messed up. You should have just called him a nigger and you wouldn't have had anything to worry about.

Baga is a long way from Paris.

  • "The Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram launched its worst attack ever in the northeastern town of Baga, where it killed hundreds or possibly more.
  • The motivation is unclear, but it appears aimed at intimidating Nigerians into not voting in the coming presidential election.
  • Key context is the military's indifference to northern Nigerian lives. Its troops fled almost immediately, and had itself previously massacred Baga's residents.

What we know about the attack

No one knows for sure how many people the Nigerian terrorist group Boko Haram slaughtered during its six-day rampage in the northeastern town of Baga. A lone and speculative early report said 2,000 dead, though subsequent counts suggest " dozens " or " hundreds ." But little question this is a massacre of breathtaking and possibly unprecedented severity, even for Boko Haram. "

I just though that I would give you that bit of news since Boko Haram is not such a big deal here.

Two thousand dead. And yet, no hashtags; no hundreds of thousands of people marching with countless world leaders locked arm in arm for a show of solidarity; no wall to wall cable coverage in the West, and no world leaders decrying the horrific violence being carried out against the Nigerian people by these monsters.

Of course the Nigerian army is not blameless. They have been trying to play down the seriousness of the Boko Haram threat in their own country, and the high level of carnage that they are responsible for since they started killing innocent women and children there.

"In Washington, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf said the U.S. still was trying to get information from the ground on reported atrocities.

She said Nigeria needed to move forward with "credible and peaceful elections" despite the attacks, but acknowledged it would be difficult.

"Boko Haram is a huge threat," Harf said. She said the U.S. was trying to work with Nigeria despite the government's termination in November of a third phase of a training operation involving a Nigerian army battalion.

She also condemned "horrific reports today of young girls being used to conduct suicide attacks."
Boko Haram is suspected of using a 10-year-old girl to detonate a bomb at a market in Maiduguri on Saturday, killing at least 10 people and seriously injuring others. The bomb exploded after explosives were found under the girl's clothing during a search, according to witness accounts."

She can't be serious. "STILL TRYING TO GET INFORMATION"?!

Pssst, lady, let me help you: they are killing people

Not all presidents are created equal.

It's amazing how having the first black president can change things.

For instance, everyone knows that presidents all have "presidential libraries", right?

Well, not so fast.

The Washington Post just ran an editorial written by Jonathan Zimmerman questioning why we need these "brick, concrete, and stone" structures to stroke the egos of our former presidents.

"Like the ancients, presidents start planning these shrines before their rule comes to an end. So early this year, President Obama will decree whether his own library will be in Chicago, New York or Hawaii.

The competition is fierce. It was reported recently that Obama’s library foundation was skeptical about a bid from the University of Chicago because the university does not own the locations where it proposed placing the building. So Chicago mayor and former Obama chief of staff Rahm Emanuel swung into action, announcing Monday that the city would help the university acquire the land it needs.

But why should each president get his own library? Multiple libraries are wasteful, costing taxpayers millions of dollars every year. And they’re undemocratic, because they allow our presidents — not the people who elected them — to define their legacies.

Presidential libraries aren’t mentioned in the Constitution or in any of our other founding documents. They date to 1938, when Franklin D. Roosevelt — midway through his second term of office — announced that he would personally construct a public archive in his native Hyde Park, N.Y.
Roosevelt was worried that the records of his administration — like many prior presidents’ papers — would be lost, destroyed or sold off to private bidders. He also wanted a place to write his memoirs and, most of all, to burnish his image as a defender of democracy.

So when Roosevelt opened his library in 1941, shortly after winning a third term, he contrasted American traditions of freedom to the looming threat of fascism. “This latest addition to the archives of America is dedicated at a moment when government of the people by themselves is being attacked everywhere,” he declared. [Source]

The writer has decided that he doesn't like the idea of libraries too much all of a sudden. He kind of wants a research center where the works of all of our presidents are kept together, where, as he argues, they could be maintained at cheaper and more efficient rate.

It might not be such a bad idea. I am just kind of wondering why this particular president led us to this debate.
It seems like just a few years a go this same Washington Post was writing glowingly about a presidential library for one of our early presidents. But hey, he didn't look like this president, so that would kind of explain things.

I know one thing, if a certain element in this county had their way, the Obama presidential library would look like the picture that you are looking at to the left.

Hey, if George Bush- a man who admits to not liking to read,- has a presidential library, there should be no issues with this current president getting one as well.

Everybody (at CNN) loves Chris.

They just had a shakeup over at CNN's morning lineup. I guess the folks over there didn't like where they were going in the ratings with the lineup that they had, so they got rid of one of their morning anchors on a show called New Day.

The unfortunate victim of the ratings axe was a lady named Kate Bolduan. (Ever heard of her? Me neither.) Anyway,  maybe the person CNN should have shown the door was their star, Chris Cuomo. There is a lot of pressure on Chris to deliver now, but unfortunately he is not off to such a great start.

"..the multiple hostage situations were unfolding in France just before 12 noon ET hour earlier today, CNN’s Anderson Cooper and Chris Cuomo were on the ground in Paris, giving viewers live updates with the relatively little concrete information they had to dispense. Cuomo was talking about one of the suspects holding hostages in the Paris kosher supermarket and referred to him as an “African-American man.”

“Not American,” Cooper quickly jumped in. “The man of African descent.”
“Right, African descent,” Cuomo replied. “Thank you, sorry. Anderson.” [Source]

Lord have mercy! The Negro in America just can't catch a break. They get blamed for everything.

It's not Ferguson, Chris; it's Paris.

Finally, all the horrific terrorist attacks taking place over in France have got Americans feeling a bit jittery these days, And, sadly,  there have been new fears and concerns raised about our safety here in the "land of the free".

So given all of that, you would think that congress would have no problem giving money to the agency that is charged with protecting us.

Well, not so fast. Apparently it's more important to our friends in the GOP to keep the Mexicans out of our country than to keep those of us who are already here alive.

"The shocking terror attack in Paris on Wednesday left Washington Republicans tap dancing over their plan to threaten Homeland Security Department funding to force President Obama to walk back his executive action halting deportations.

With a bill funding the department to expire Feb. 27, Republicans want to put a provision blocking Obama's immigration action into a DHS spending measure set for release Friday.

Sen. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) also insisted that Republicans have no intention of risking a Homeland Security shutdown.

Some prominent Republicans, such as Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), are urging their leaders to take a strong stance on DHS funding, despite the Paris attack.

Rep. Pete King (R-L.I.), chairman of the House Homeland Security counterrorism and intelligence subcommittee, said any effort to go after Obama’s executive order should be “precisely targeted” to avoid the chance of shutting down important agency programs."

This, my friends, is what we call a political pickle. It should be interesting to see how all the players involved handle this one.
