I am so mad at his "O" ness that I don't know what to do. Just imagine, this Negro has had a race card all along and keeping it to himself. Please, please, please, "O" man, if you have a race card could you tell the field where to get one? I could really use that bitch.
Now stop being selfish. I know you used yours to get into Columbia, and to Harvard Law. And, you used it to become Editor of the Law Review no less. But you didn't stop there; you got into the exclusive club of 100 white men (otherwise known as the U.S. Senate), and now you want to use your card to become the leader of the free world. Wow! What a card you must have. What did Mr. Morton's boy say? That you pulled it from the "bottom of the deck"? No wonder I couldn't find that bitch.
Oh field stop it, you know you have played the race card a time or two. No, not that I know of. Although I am quite sure that the race card has been played against me. But don't get me wrong, if I had one to use like his "O" ness, I would be playing that bad boy from the top of the deck, not the bottom. You think an Amex black card is the shit, wait until you see how much clout my race card would have.
Mr. Field, this is the bank, your mortgage is due. Ahhhh did you know that I was black? No sir we did not. Well I happen to have a race card right here, and I was planning on using it. Is that going to be necessary? No Mr. Field, that's fine. We will let the mortgage slide for this month, you just hold on to that card: Sir, did you know that you were doing 100 MPH in a 35 MPH zone? May I see your driver's license sir? No officer, but I do have a race card. Ahhh, never mind, just be careful next time. You have a nice day now. Thank you officer, you do the same.....You gotta love it.
The possibilities would be endless. But I guess I will never get one of those race cards because I just wouldn't know where to apply for one. White folks keep shit like that from us black folks. They can only afford to let a few of those cards get out there. Jessie got one, and so did Al. Now I hear that his "O" ness got one too. I knew I couldn't trust that Negro.
Granpy McShame is wondering where to get one too!
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!!!
Field have you notice the undertones that's been coming out of the McCain camp lately? (arrogant as codespeak for uppity, etc.) And now he has the nerve to accuse Obama of playing the race card.
ReplyDeleteThis charge has become the excuse for closet racists when they get called out for their unethical behavior. Obama did not say John McCain is using race to discredit me (even though he is), he did not say that he is telling people that he can't be president because he's black (even though that is what he is really saying).
He said that John McCain is trying to make this election about me (thus the Brittany/Paris ad & the Obama is responsible for gas prices ad, and the Obama didn't visit the troops ad). I am glad the O man hit them with that "Black Ace of Spade."
I like to use my Race Card when I'm in an exclusive store and carrying a large empty purse. When store security rolls up on me, I just pull out my Race Card and poof, rent-a-cops disappear!
ReplyDeleteToo funny!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDamn, FN! I also need mine! Latino-flava'. Let me know if you know where to find it.
ReplyDeletei could probably get my tuition paid if i had one....hmmmm....
ReplyDeleteMcCain has taken up Hillary's kitchen sink strategy and thrown in the bathroom toilet too.
ReplyDeleteDAMN! I need me one of those. As soon as you find out where I can get one, let me know.
ReplyDeleteOh, them race cards are for famous people. Otherwise, I could have used one the last time I got pulled over by the cops.
ReplyDeleteDoes Ludacris have one ?
ReplyDeleteWhat up with his Obama Rap ?
Come on, Field, racist white folks been playing their race card for centuries, and theirs is backed by the Bank of Bullets & Bombs.
ReplyDeleteThe interest rates are just horrible on race cards.
ReplyDeleteRace card my foot! Every time someone black calls them on their BS and lies, it is considered a race card. Nope, it is not a race card. It is a REALITY card, with a TRUTH account balance at the MIRROR BANK, used to expose BS and lies.
ReplyDeleteWhite folks have been using a race card for over 300 years. They used it with Jim Crow, slavery, Reconstruction, during the Civil Rights Movement, and even now, they use it. This is just another subtle attempt to stop blacks from voicing their opinions, beliefs, and ideas. They want to put a muzzle over our trumpets, but we must blow the trumpet more and louder. They want to silence our drums, but we must beat the drums more and louder. Cry loud, spare not!

I keep hearing them say that blacks are clinging to the past and don’t want to forget about slavery, that we should forget about it and move on. Whelp, it looks like to me that white folks need to forget about the past too, and move on. Because we’re no longer in bondage, we’re FREE. They want black folks to sing spiritual songs like in the old days. When they stole our ancestors from their land and put them in bondage. They want black folks to dance a jig or play the fiddle for Massa. They’re still clinging to the days of free labor when they could sit on their behind and drink mint julep tea while mammy, auntie, uncle, boy, and gal waited on them hand and foot and work their fields from sun up to sundown for whites only to profit. Their still clinging to those days when blacks had to sit at the back of the bus, or they could kill one of us and nothing would be done, or whites and blacks only signs hung in public places. But these days are no more. Those days are over.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, but Granny had to vent, because I watched the news today, and it pissed me off.
ReplyDeleteI told folks Hillary's campaign tactics would come back to hunt Obama. Yes, I meant hunt instead of haunt too, and used hunt on purpose, because I do know the difference in the two.
Another tactic they use regularly is the word "whining". BS, no one is whining they are speaking up and voicing their opinion, and they the right to do that as a human being.
If someone steps on your foot, a natural reflex is you gonna holler ouch, if you don't then you better go get check out, because your sense of feel is gone. You lack feelings.
You know Mr. Morton has hired a bunch of folks from Bush's 2004 campaign. The road to November is going to be very, very ugly.
ReplyDeleteHe's really showing his true colors. He wants to win so badly he's taking advice from the people who viciously derailed his 2000 bid. I would have told them to go f*ck themselves but that's me.
They are using the HRC strategy but earlier. We'll see what happens.
Obama should throw a little Reaganism at Mr. Morton. Say that Morton is cranky, pessimistic, etc. Why is he so upset that young people are engaged or that big crowds are interested? Why all the hate? (of course the O man would be more eloquent).
sorry but I had come back to post this snippet from the NYTs:
ReplyDeleteThe McCain campaign was compelled to respond to this outrageous attack because we will not allow John McCain to be smeared by Senator Obama as a racist for offering legitimate criticism,” he said. “We have waited for months with a sick feeling knowing this moment would come because we watched it incur with President Clinton. Say whatever you want about President Clinton, his record on this issue is above reproach.”
In the Democratic primary campaign, Mr. Obama’s supporters at several occasions accused the Clinton campaign of using racially charged tactics, particularly after Mr. Clinton equated Mr. Obama’s victory in the South Carolina primary with the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s victory in the nominating contest there in 1988. Mr. Clinton himself then complained in a radio interview in April that the Obama campaign had “played the race card on me.”
Howard Wolfson, who was the communications director of the Clinton campaign, said, “The McCain campaign has obviously been watching our primary very closely and recognized how damaging it had been to be tagged with the charge of race baiting.”
How lovely to see a Clinton advisor stick up for Mr. Morton! I might have to take a break from reading about the campaign, my blood pressure can't handle this BS.
It told you guys Clinton was a backstabbering uncover Republican. She's probably been busy working on the McCain campaign on the under.
ReplyDelete"I" sorry typo
ReplyDeleteFunny stuff. Classic FN material.
ReplyDeleteAs I was reading, I was imagining that as an SNL or Mad TV skit.
I wonder if my card can stop these student loan people. They have given me a final notice saying that they want their money.
"Damn, FN! I also need mine! Latino-flava'. Let me know if you know where to find it."
ReplyDeleteAndres, you might be able to find one, but they might ask for some ID before they allow you to use it. :)
"I like to use my Race Card when I'm in an exclusive store and carrying a large empty purse. When store security rolls up on me, I just pull out my Race Card and poof, rent-a-cops disappear!"
I give mine to Mrs. Field to go shopping too.
Mine is laminated, to keep it safe amongst all the junk I carry in my purse. Its everywhere I wanna...well its just everywhere I BE.
ReplyDeleteYou not the only one looking for this mythical race card... where do us average Black folks get one? Do we need good credit? LOL
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it seems that its white folks love to pull out their race card when things start getting hot.
Can I get a set of UNO race cards for the many colors since I'm biracial?
ReplyDeleteFN you need to stop! LAWD only knows what us po' negros would do if we had a race card, I guess we would finally get those 40acreas and a mule.
ReplyDeleteYes field,
ReplyDeleteThat's why there was no news coverage about LaVena Johnson and the MANY other black female military soldiers who are dying from suspicious
"non-combat related injuries" Their parents must have gotten rejected on the race card application. It seems more of us get rejected by this card then by any other. I thought all black people had one.
You know field, that race card can also be dangerous for you black guys in particular. The popos are quick to shoot you black men down when you reach for your wallets. You should wear it out and open as a badge, just for precautionary measures.
ROTFL
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the Bush - Dukakis debate when Bush Sr. in his monosyllabic way of speaking, said that Michael Dukakis was a card carrying member of the A C L U (he paused between each letter as if trying to remember which letter came next).
My wife turned to me and said, hey, how come we never got our ACLU card?
Black mens living in high-crime areas and acting strange get shot. Whatta concept!
ReplyDeleteRace card and uppity are the whitey version of Blacks/teachers don't deserve it. I've lost count of the number of crackers, hillcretins, low-skills, illiterates that have said since Mr/Ms Stoopid only makes 8K per year, the teacher(black) should make less...about half would be right.
How about these losers come to terms with their essential worthlessness and we get on with the business of living?
Mold
For months, we've debated about "the politics of fear" and the way opponents use everything from Barack's name to his skintone as a way to frighten folks away from supporting the O-man.
ReplyDeleteNow he makes a comment that alludes to the race card and we're shocked? I think he has a right to not only suggest the politics of fear, but come right out and say it.
At least that criticism has more "meat" to it than McCain's assertion that Obama belongs among the ranks of Brittney Spears and Paris Hilton.
I watched McCain's campaign manager defend that ridiculous ad today. I wanted to slap him with a raw steak - bone in.
Ok.... maybe I am bein naive... but I would like to remind you all the Obama would not be the democratic nominee without the votes of lots and lots of white folks (myself included)...
ReplyDeleteAnd, I may be wrong, but I would like to believe that come November that MILLIONS of white folks are gonna vote for Senator Obama and he will be the next President..
We too see how stupid this race card shit is and dont buy this load of crap for one minute!
When is Mc Thuselah going to play his "AARP Card?"
ReplyDelete"Vote for me, I was on the Ark with Noah."
Americans are getting tired of the Wingnuts.
Field, this has to be one of your funniest yet!
ReplyDeleteMcCain looks more foolish as the days go by, which can only be good for Obama.
Heh, I wonder when the Looney Coons will show up and start talking about "liberal blacks" as if they're some sort of tiny minority. :D
ReplyDeleteAnyone catch the beginning of O'Reilly last night? You woulda thought Ludacris was the communications director of the Obama Campaign. Luda really needs to stop playin and drop a mixtape where he's holding up BillO's decapitated head on the cover.
Come on people. Maybe we can make light of what is happening to the "O" man. And, maybe our degrees and big jobs mean race isn't an issue. But, lets be clear. Some, no many, blue collar working class men and women (code: uneducated Whites) do not and can not see a Black man as President. Mr. Morton and his crew r using the lowest and dirtiest politics in the Karl Rove play book to make even people considering a Black man scared. Pray people.

ReplyDeleteDennis is 100% correct.
These are the Borg Queen's peeps. Her "hardworking, white people" that she said she appealed to and Obama didn't appeal to. She's handed them off to the Old Coot and now he's taking them to the bank.

too funny! I need to renew my card, maybe it will help me find a job or pay the rent. it kills me how they try to distract voters on unrelated issues, do they think we are so unsophisticated? McCain and his supporters seem to be grasping at straws instead of staying on the issues of war, the falling dollar, loss of jobs and the general downward spiral Amerikka is falling into but I know racist will follow this line of reasoning. Black people we have come so far, we have so much political power, we are overpopulating, moving to areas (suburbs) we have never lived in. I see it all over, especially at home blacks and Puerto Ricans live in cities in Boston we weren't allowed in the 1970's, we are strong and we can't let anyone divert our paths and if they do pull out your race card.
ReplyDeleteTypical. McSame runs an ad linking BHO with Paris Hilton and Britney Spears--the Rethugs have learned to be so much more subtle since the Willie Horton ad--and then is shocked! shocked! that anyone would misinterpret it. If that's all they've got now--'cause McSame can't remember from week to week what the issues are and what his "position" is--it's going to be a landslide. It's still 3 months until the election, and all that Rove & Co can come up with is "Obama is popular and draws huge crowds"?
ReplyDeleteDennis is right, and I was thinking the same thing. It's not funny to me, because if I had a race card I would have used it when they were sicking their dogs on me. I'm from an era when Civil Rights didn't exist until later on in my adult life.
ReplyDeleteMcCain is being slick. He's trying to work on lowering Obama's ratings by using what he is accusing Obama of the race card. He is trying to aggravate Obama and work on making him angry so that he can stick a militant label on him--angry black man. McCain is throwing out all these negatives in hopes that he can get Obama to respond in a negative way or slip. McCain is trying to cause division.
He is appealing to those people who have a racist views, low opinions of black people, those who are borderline that might be changing their views of blacks from negative to positive, and those who are really trying to get over negative views of blacks, heal, and see them as another human being. Those people do exist, because racism still exists. Racism is a sickness, it's a mental disorder, wrong thinking patterns.
I used to have a neighbor who flew a confederate flag over his garage. He hated blacks and so did his friends. Whelp, it was one of his friends who set his house on fire, while he was sleep, and left him in his house to die. Before the fire got out of hand, a black woman went in, risked her life, and dragged him up out of there. She had been watching what had taken place through her dining room window. The neighbors said that she should have left him in there, because of his views towards blacks. However, the black woman felt that in spite of his views, he was another human being. That confederate flag came down, and some of his other friends changed their racist views, those that didn’t were never allowed back to his house again. Over the next few years the man, woman, and some of his friends became friends. BTW, did I mention that the man was paraplegic?
Obama heckled by fellow black folks for not focusing on black issues.

Can I get a deck of those race cards?
ReplyDeleteI got the cutest little Obama bracelet the other day. It's carved out of wood, and has a picture of Obama on it, with pictures of the flag on the wood chain parts of it. It's different.
ReplyDeleteField - ROTFLMAO at this post.
ReplyDeleteHang on folks, the ride is only going to get worse. But remember:
"first they ignore you; then they laugh at you; then they fight you; THEN YOU WIN."
Brother Field now that's how you make fun of something. Sounds like you and Mrs Field would go crazy with your card, sounds like you would be downright irresponsible with it.(lol)
ReplyDeleteI wrote an entire commentary on that foolishness called a race card. The fact that folks can turn around years of racism and say that it gives the oppressed an advantage is absolutely maddening and mind boggling.
But Field and ya'll you have to admit that these folks who spin this crap are really good.
"Obama is popular and draws huge crowds"

Yup, they're playing the throw a rock and play innocent game. And yes, they do think that black people are dumb and that they can tell them anything and they'll believe it. Why? Because you have some self-hating blacks that convince them of that. Don't forget they lump us all in the same boat, we're not individuals in their book.
GrannyStandingForTruth said "...When they stole our ancestors from their land and put them in bondage."
ReplyDeletewww.slaveryinamerican.org said
"In Africa, European traders dealt with African suppliers, seldom capturing the slaves themselves. Importantly, the practice of slavery had been in operation in Africa and in central Europe for centuries prior to the redirection of the trade to the Americas. Muslim slave traders from Arabia and Turkey, for example, had transported enslaved Africans and Europeans into South East Asia and the Iberian Peninsula for centuries."
Mrs. Granny, If slavery (of any kind really bothers you) you can find it today all over the world. "According to Anti-Slavery International, the world's oldest human rights organization, there are currently over 20 million people in bondage." "...forced labor continues to be practiced in West and Central Africa today. UNICEF estimates that 200,000 children from this region are sold into slavery each year. Many of these children are from Benin and Togo, and are sold into the domestic, agricultural, and sex industries of wealthier, neighboring countries such as Nigeria and Gabon." See http://www.infoplease.com/spot/slavery1.html
Please live in the present. We have real problems today and it is not just light skinned people. It is people everywhere regardless of skin color.
OBAMA WANTED TO START A RACE WAR?
ReplyDeleteLook at this black republican stating that Obama wanted to START A RACE WAR. I shit you not.
Dennis and Granny make valid points. Morton's ad isn't likened to Harold Ford negative ads that ran in Tennessee a few years back because Southern have a fear of black men and white women being sexual and that isn't thing new. However, Morton's ad is covet in the sense that he does not use sex, but class, and Dennis makes a valid point that even white trash as white people with money called them is still better than the most educated black person. We still live in a society where black people still have be three to four times better than their white counterpart.
ReplyDeleteI think it's easy for political pundits and the republicans to say he is race baiting because it continues to work with the working class who are fighting struggling economically and it's to blame the minority group. For it is those people are the ones who are taking your jobs, taking the food out of mouths of your children, and race baiting further divides the country and always will we are not honest with ourselves about it.
Who created the phase "The Race Card in the first place?
Hey Field negro!
ReplyDeleteI am laughing every time I hear a white person accuse someone black of playing THE RACE CARD... hmmm....let's see who invented that race card...oh yes... it started when blacks were shackled and sold by whites for the benefit of whites... race card!
Then, black women were being repeatedly raped by white slave owners due to their hatred and then of course they told themselves "those negras love sex so I am doing what they like"....being raped? we LIKE it? They will tell themselves anything in order to avoid admitting that the race card was pulled out with every rape...race card played by whites once again...
Let's see... tasering black men and black teens UNARMED....it's common now...we hear about it every single week... electrocution of blacks who have no weapon at all... race card being played by whites again...
Fox News pretending to be focused on journalism but actually spewing racist propoganda and hiring blacks in order to make themselves APPEAR to be on the up-and-up.... race card being played by whites AGAIN...
Are we surprised that grandpa knows ALL about the race card...just keep digging through his family line... I am sure you'll find a rope somewhere...
Hmmmmmph.
Race card!
Ahhhh yes...the race card, don't leave home without it.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of those emotional idiomatic phrases created by right-wing think tanks and hate propagandist like limbaugh, savage and folks of that ilk to denigrate, degrade, deny and dis any "black" individual who speaks frankly about racism and it's various forms and manifestations.
The "race card" accusation has been a primary tool in dismissing the freedom to fight for equality and justice.
The actual phrase, (???) was coined when Johnny Cochran was accused of "playing the race card" for pointing out that Mark Furman was a lying racist piece of shit...in that Furman said under oath that he had never used the term "nigger"...and we all know now that he not only used it frequently but it was a regular part of his language and racial hatred toward black people...
he was rewarded with a tv show.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/columnist/wickham/2005-04-04-cochran-legacy_x.htm
The whole race card analogy is a myth created by the right-wing propagandists and the white patriarchal media.
stop acting stupid. you know there is a race card. it does not make blacks equal to whites but it shuts up criticism of that black person.
ReplyDeleteLadycracker:
ReplyDeleteThank you, but I don’t need a lesson in African or European History, because I studied both. And I hate to beg your pardon, but slave traders did steal Africans from their land. Yes, they did get some slaves from other Africans, but not as many as they kidnapped. Slavery back then, in Africa was different from the barbaric methods used by Europeans here in America.
BTW, whites were the first slaves in America. They called them indentured servants, different label, but same thing—bondage, and they were treated the same as black slaves. In fact, the 13th Amendment in the Constitution of America states that slavery will not exist, IF no crime is committed; therefore, why prisons are modern day plantations—free labor.
One of my grandmothers was kidnapped in Africa—the Congo to be exact. She was Congolese. In addition, I know where all of my ancestors originated from, place, tribe, etc. I had some ancestors who, also, originated from France, England, West Indies, and Germany. To make a long story short, I know my family history. I even have pictures of some of my ancestors—white and black. However, thanks for sharing. Yes, white and black blood flows through my veins and our family reunions probably resemble the Rand and Haley’s families.
What I said must have bothered you, but it shouldn’t have if the shoe doesn’t fit, you follow me? Unless, you’re a racist, not saying that you are. I noticed in your post, you tried to cover up and make it seem as though Europeans were innocent. I understand, truly I do. You see a lot whites feel that blacks are accusing them or blaming them for slavery. You don’t think we should bring it up, because you’re innocent, and yes, you really are innocent of those crimes, and black folks are well aware of that.
However, when blacks speak of slavery, they’re not lashing out every single white person living today. We recognize that there are some whites living today who know that slavery was wrong, they feel bad about it, and they want to help undo the wrong done to blacks throughout the years. I’m, also, aware that when those whites do speak up, they catch hell from other whites who hold racist views; some are even ostracized by them.
Nonetheless, again, I repeat myself; blacks are not lashing out at those whites living today who are not racist themselves, that want to live in peace with all human beings, regardless of the color of their skin. They’re lashing out at their white’s ancestors and those whites still living that hold racist views. Blacks are not some dumb animals blaming every single white person living today who had nothing to do with slavery. Even though, slavery ended blacks still have to deal with racism—the reason for their anger and lashing out. Obama running for President is a good example of some of the racism we deal with everyday.
Yes, and I agree with you totally that we have some real problems today right here in good ole America and that is what I’m more concerned with at the present, because this is where I was born—my homeland. And until I see justice and equality for ALL, instead of JUST US, I am going to speak out. And yes, I’m even going to bring up history, because history does have a way of repeating itself, and it is very important if you don’t want to repeat it. Also, I'm gonna defend my black brothers and sisters. I could care less who likes it.
BTW, blood is blue, not red. When blood surfaces, it instantly turns red, something to do with oxygen, and we bleed red.
BTW, Frances Holland if you happen to be reading the field's blog today, the reason I haven't posted on your blog, lately, is because it won't let me. Granny knows that you haven't block me, it has something to do with my Internet Explorer acting wacky and not letting me. It's the reason why I haven't posted on a few other's blog lately. It won't even let me read the topic on some blogs, including yours. Therefore, until I figure it out, well...

ReplyDeletestop acting stupid. you know there is a race card. it does not make blacks equal to whites but it shuts up criticism of that black person."
You're either an idiot or uneducated apologist for those who use that term. Explain to me if you will how has using this "card" shut up criticism of black people?
Black folks as a demographic group are perpetually criticized for all of this nation problems...a slap of reality reveals this nation's troubles lie directly at the feet of brain-dead, middle-class white electorate who believe the hype and vote unconsciously each election. The reasons Amerrykka is fucked-up is because they have voted against their own interest and have allowed; to phrase the comedic genius George Carlin..."the government to stick that big red, white and blue flag right up their asses".
Media whores like O'Lielly, Limburger, and Handjob have used race baiting phrases quite "liberally" and frequently in their ridiculous political diatribes against ANY black person who speak out against racial injustice and hatred.
Just admit it..you're a pathetic troll who can't accept the fact that the whole "race card" was coined to undermine those who speak out against the various forms of racism...as already stated above.
And to clarify...Blacks have been equals to whites as HUMAN BEINGS since the beginning of creation...GOD's words not mine.
If some white folks would just get over that "superiority" complex...we may be able to get by this race thing. But I doubt it will happen as long as ya'll live in a world where only selfishness and greed exist.
Grannystandingfortruth,
ReplyDeleteTry downloading Mozzila, and use that instead of internet explorer, I think
Mozzila works better with blogs.
I dont think we can obtain a race card all by ourselves. I think the race card is only available through the benevolence (or malevolence) of whites (or other non-Black ethnicities). So go piss somebody off Field, I'm sure you'd get one quickly that way!

That’s right baby, tell the truth, because it will set them free. Granny totally and wholeheartedly agrees with everything you said right here:

“Blacks have been equals to whites as HUMAN BEINGS since the beginning of creation...GOD's words not mine. Amen, I’m glad to hear someone else recognize what Granny has been trying to tell folks all the time.”
“If some white folks would just get over that "superiority" complex...we may be able to get by this race thing. But I doubt it will happen as long as ya'll live in a world where only selfishness and greed exist.”
