When the frat boy was in power I was so much angrier. I was always fighting with my ideological enemies because with the war raging in Iraq and American deaths mounting every day, the stakes were so much higher.
Now here we are in the age of Obama and I have mellowed. But that could change. What will change it is if his O ness makes the same mistake the president before him did and try to nation build again in the name of fighting the "war on terror".
First, I agree that right after 911 if we were going to go anywhere it should have been to Afghanistan and not Iraq. It is where Osama bin Laden (OBL) launched his terror network and where he found a safe haven while the Taliban was in control. But in my humble opinion, OBL is probably now on his sixth or seventh virgin and will never be heard from again. The frat boy missed his chance to display his head on the evening news and the guy probably died in his sleep.
Now what we have in Afghanistan is a mess of a problem. And unfortunately his O ness won't get around to it until health care passes.- Or doesn't pass depending on the politricksters in Washington and how they are reading the polls- Instead of committing our troops there when the man we wanted was still alive, the frat boy was giving billions of dollars to the Pakistani, dictator, Musharraf. (Who should be right up there with Valerio Viccei as one of the greatest thieves of all time.) All those billions to fight terror and helps us catch OBL and he was building his military to fight my cricket loving friends in India the whole time. Nice.
Can't say I really blame him, though. Who wants to fight the Afghans? Here in A-merry-ca baseball is our national past time. In Afghanistan it's fighting wars. Just ask the Russians how that little campaign over there worked out for them. Those cats over there have been fighting wars for centuries, it's all they know, so why we would try to nation build in a country like that is beyond me. Talk about getting medieval, they are medieval.
Let's throw in the fact that we are supporting a guy that was probably not even fairly elected and we have a real hypocrisy problem on our hands. But field, if we don't support Hamid Karzai who else are we going to support ? the Taliban? How about none of the above?
The death toll is starting to mount in Afghanistan, and American generals are asking for either more troops or a total withdrawal. The wingnuts and chicken hawks are still saying that we can't "cut and run", that we will look like cowards to the rest of the world. I disagree. American could nuke that entire region with just just a head nod from the chosen one. No one questions our military might. And only a fool would. But the Afghan fighters and Taliban are digging in, and they have been down this road before. Of course, we have too, and it took us years and thousands of lives to get out of places like Vietnam and Iraq. In the case of Iraq, we are still there. Nation building and fighting a war are two entirely different things. We should be nation building our own damn country and fighting the urban terrorist there before we go half way around the world to a bunch of religious fanatics. (Hell we have enough fanatics here that we should be worried about. One of them is on the radio every damn day screaming about the government plot to take over our lives.)
Let's just hope that his O ness sticks to his original script, or even better, scrap the script and get his troops the hell out of there. What we can't have happen is him following the wingnuts and the crowd calling for more troops. We have seen that script before, too, and unfortunately we all know what the final chapter will look like.
you'd better stick to your regular type of writing, you know: everything is whitey's fault.

Obama is doing what JFK did in Vietnam. Instead of putting his foot down and ending American involvement, he is inching further into a quagmire.
ReplyDeleteThe parallels are striking. Vietnam is a country that hadn't been conquered by anyone for a long time. When the French had it as a colony in the 1800s, the rule was loose, and couldn't be sustained. The Chinese were kicked out in the 900s, and apart from a brief period in the 1400s they didn't have much luck either.
Afghanistan has never been conquered by anyone. Not Genghis Khan, not Alexander the Great, not the French, not the Brits, not the Russians. So now we're going to do it?
In Iraq, Obama is playing out of Nixon's book of "Vietnamization." In Afghanistan, he's just like JFK who kowtowed to the hawks in the Pentagon because he didn't want to seem vulnerable to McCarthyite accusations of being soft on communism.
Someone's got to stand up and say that we're not going down this road again. The reason the Europeans pulled out of their colonies after WW2 is because empire was too expensive. Well, it's getting too expensive for us too.
I think America ought to be fighting in a more 21st century way. Intelligence instead of M16s.
ReplyDeleteThere needs to be a major overhaul of all American intelligence agencies. I mean if they can't find Osama Bin Ladin then really they need to go and new people should be brought in.
I swear if the business world rewarded incompetence the way the intelligence community does American business would be in a bad way. Oh wait a minute American business does reward incompetence. Forget that last part.
We needs to get our troops home, NOW...

ReplyDeleteOne nation builds in Afghanistan because that is the only way to build the trans-national gas pipelines and oil pipelines required to get oil and gas from Southern Asia to the ocean ports of Pakistan.
Killing Osama, would have meant no justification to be in Afghanistan.

ReplyDeleteHEADLINE!!!!
Filled Negro Says 'Obama Can't Walk And Chew Bubble Gum At The Same Time'
*************
Do you mind if I extract the intellectual dishonesty in your quote?
1) Notice how you attempt to reframe your opposition to Iraq as a function of THE NUMBER OF DEAD US TROOPS rather than your CONSTANT OPPOSITION REGARDLESS of the # of dead troops. These type of tricks might work against a seated jury in Philly as you attempt to spring a guilty man but you won't get past me.
2) The people the USA is fighting RIGHT NOW in Afghanistan have about as much of a linkage to Osama Bin Laden and the folks who flew the planes into the World Trade Center as will the G-20 protesters in Pittsburgh later this week will have a linkage to the Philadelphia Chapter of "The Color Of Change".
Filled Negro - do you find it ironic that 2 years ago we were debating if there was any "Al Queda in Iraq" BEFORE the US troops entered in and you no doubt stood on the side that said "The US Aggression CREATED armed opposition". Yet when it comes to Afghanistan - your biases and loyalties kick in.
Hey man. I don't blame you. With all of that campaign money you sent in to Obama you aren't about to diminish the value of your "Obama Commemorative Plate" that you have on your fire place.
Just stop being so blatant with your distortions.
I figured that Obama would have had Osama doing a perp walk by now if you allowed Michael Moore to tell it over the last 8 years.
One of your best. Osama will never die; he'll just be recycled.
ReplyDeleteI know it would have been political suicide after 9-11, but it would probably have served our national interest more had we beefed up security at home and abroad, and just bombed the hell out of Al-Qaeda training sites in Afghanistan, without going to war.
What the wars have cost us in national treasure and human resources, and we're no closer to winning the war on terror, tell me, giving billions more and tens of thousands of more troops to the war effort will not result in the capture of Bin Laden, the defeat of the Taliban, or give us the assurances we all seek--safety here and around the world.
Both wars have been a disaster. And the idiotic notion (excuse for supporting and continuing these expensive war) of fighting them there rather than here never resonated with me.
What we've managed to do, in our effort to be safe, is bring up ten more generations that will hate, distrust, and seek to destroy us for the remainder of this century.
President Obama would do well to reassess our goals there, and act accordingly.
History is not on his side. Yet, he could put the war to good use. He could use it to bring republicans onboard to support his health care reform.
He can tell them: "I'll stay the course in Afghanistan for another three years, if you support health care reform, now."
To give them more time in Afghanistan (because, you know republican's don't like to lose wars [Larry Elder told us that!]) would come with a price tag and that tag would be meaningful health care reform with a strong public option.
Does the Taliban use taser electrocution devices on old Black men with no legs sitting in a wheelchair? If not, I can't see how the Taliban is worse than the Merced, California Police Department.
ReplyDeleteLet the Taliban HAVE Afghanistan. They live there and we don't so it's not our fight and it's not our right. Yeah, the US has to do something to protect the nuclear missiles in Pakistan, for example DISABLE THEM.
And assure Pakistan that if India nukes Pakistan, the US will nuke India. That's worked elsewhere, e.g. between North and South Korea, so why not just take the nuclear bombs out of Pakistan and let Pakistan's leadership be decided by election or guerilla warfare or whatever they think is best.
If President Obama just removes all US troops from Afghanistan then the Taliban will be too busy trying to take over Pakistan to pose a threat to the US on US soil.
Let the Taliban win in Afghanistan and set up their Talibani Government offices. Then, if the Taliban misbehaves, Obama can bomb the offices.
ReplyDeleteAs least that way, you'd know exactly where the hell the Taliban leaders were.
Field,
ReplyDeleteNormally, I love your posts, but this one just got under my skin.
Have you been drinking the Lou Dobbs Kool-aid? Or was it George Will's brew?
You, of all people, who know how much the Frat boy F'd Up Afghanistan with this ridiculous war in Iraq. You also know that Mr. Obama has only been on the job 8 months. He put in a new strategy, hired a new commander, and has given him more resources to fix this.
Let's give him more than a week before we start declaring failure. Hell, Bush had five years.
Oh, and by the way, I've fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan, so I know first-hand how badly we messed up both.
There's a Huge difference between the Afghans and the Iraqis. The Iraqis, who are sitting on an ocean of oil, were more interested in making us look bad than taking care of themselves. The Afghans, on the other hand, have nothing of value but are still willing to fight the Taliban with us.
Let's give it some time before sounding retreat.
p.s. I personally think that OBL is probably the Devil's 72 virgins right now.
Once again, self-centered Americans like yourself want to do what we did to the South Vietnamese, which was to abandon them. Now you want to do a repeat in Afghanistan. That is, run out on the Afghan people because the enemy is making things tough and we don't like it.
ReplyDeleteField said, "The wingnuts and chicken hawks are still saying that we can't "cut and run", that we will look like cowards to the rest of the world. I disagree."
FYI, America has a bad reputation in the world for NOT keeping its word, and for being unable to go the distance to honor its word. Most countries know America doesn't have much of a stomach for war. So your thinking that the world knows our might could be an 'overestimation' of what they are thinking about us, and an 'underestimation' of their power against us...much like the Taliban and OBL. Hell, we can't even beat OBL and they are primative. We couldn't beat North Vietnam and they didn't have much either. But they had two things the US lacked: heart and determination.
If we are pulling out of Afghanistan maybe we are not as mighty as you think? In fact, we are probably weaker in mind, body and spirit than OBL and the Taliban. When things get tough, America runs unless she can find someone to bully like Panama.
Field, you are good at chasing racism but you are lousy when it comes to international affairs. Your support of Israel who has killed off untold thousands of vulnerable Palestians and left thousands of families homeless proves it.
I find it amazing that you can be so sensitive to racism in America but be so heartless toward other poor vulnerable people elsewhere.
Weak post there FN. Not logical and kinda dumb.
ReplyDeleteAll great comments. Grinder and Monie, I co-sign with both of you. Even AB who I don't agree with on this point made some good comments. As for the [un]constructive one...well, as usual, he was playing politics. (Man that boy loves GWB) Which I have to give it to you, at least you are consistent.
ReplyDeleteSorry Anon 3:28AM, why is it A-merry-ca's job to police the world? If you live in Afghanistan fix your own damn problems. You might want to start by giving the women in that country some rights.
Get a clue; nation building and spreading democracy where people don't want it will never work.
"I find it amazing that you can be so sensitive to racism in America but be so heartless toward other poor vulnerable people elsewhere."
It is you who are insensitive to the poor and vulnerable people elsewhere. Just think how many poor lives will be lost as your fruitless war in Afghanistan rages on.
"Field, you are good at chasing racism but you are lousy when it comes to international affairs. Your support of Israel who has killed off untold thousands of vulnerable Palestians and left thousands of families homeless proves it."
Well yes,and no. I am a suppporter of the Jewish people but not always necessarily the Jewish state. And careful how you question my credentials when it comes to international affairs.Just because I like playing wide receiver, doesn't mean that I can't play quarterback. ;)
Cal Soldier, thanks again for your service, and you know I love and respect you. But we are going to have to disagree on this one. Still, I think time will tell which one of us is right. I think your way of doing things will play itself out, because I am pretty sure that his O ness is going down that path.He is a big fan of JFK.
"you'd better stick to your regular type of writing, you know: everything is whitey's fault.

Actually Anon, this too is "whitey's fault". I know that your cogitative skills aren't too sharp, so it all flew right over your head. And giving it's propinquity to the ground (it meaning your head) I am sure that wasn't too hard to do.
If you are still assuming the offical story given about 911 is true, then you will be chasing emmanuel goldstein around for the next 300 years (or until the rest of the world stops accepting federal reserve notes, which is likely sooner than you think).
ReplyDeleteReality does not happen all real time live as you see it on tv. There is one hell of a pre-roll to that film. And the actors names you see in the credits are insignificant to that of the producers, screenwriters, and other nameless faceless people who collectively set it in motion.
I'm one of the broken toys from the Viet Nam thing, and I see the same thing going on.
ReplyDeleteField, (and Cal Soldier) try reading a book called "The War of the Flea" by Robert Taber. Very good, readable treatise on irregular warfare, probably the best. My father was a friend of the author's and he (author) actually breifed the joint chiefs of staff on his recommendations. They didn't listen.
Like with health care, there's a lot of money at stake in a war, and guess which is going to get priority? Like Viet Nam, when the returns start drying up then we'll see a "peace with honor" charade.
Thanks Sarge,I will check out that book.
ReplyDeleteThere has to be more to it than "nation building" Afghanistan. Folks should know the history of that place and I'm sure there's other places around the world that would benefit more with so-called "nation building". I've even heard it's a con job on the part of Pakistan to maintain buffer zones with its adversary India. Don't ask me why, but it reeks of chess-playing. Then you have Iran in between Iraq and Afghanistan with Isreal peeking in. You have everyone else gawking at the train wreck...

A MAN I LOVE: DARRELL GRIFFIN SR.
“It is no longer a choice, my friends, between violence and nonviolence. It is either nonviolence or nonexistence. And the alternative to disarmament, the alternative to a greater suspension of nuclear tests, the alternative to strengthening the United Nations and thereby disarming the whole world, may well be a civilization plunged into the abyss of annihilation, and our earthly habitat would be transformed into an inferno that even the mind of Dante could not imagine.”
--Martin Luther King, Jr. - Remaining Awake Through a Great Revolution
King Shrub/George W. Bush blatantly lied as he waged grossly illegal wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. President Barack Obama/GWB 2.0 continues to viciously lie as he brazenly escalates those wars that he promised to end as he pimped voters.
Obama was only the lesser of two evils. Lesser evils are evil still. Evil unchecked grows. This generation’s Vietnams rage on…
Millions of Americans mourn the senseless deaths of soldiers that they love. These felled soldiers are casualties of an elitist war waged only for oil and various corporate military contracts. Only the love of those they left behind ensures that their heroic deaths will never be in vain.
Determined that his beloved son would become much more than forgotten fodder for fascist cannons, Darrell Griffin Sr. penned an intensely intimate and profound tribute to Darrell Ray Griffin Jr. Griffin Sr. is a pacifist who defiantly became an embedded soldier to walk in his warrior son’s shoes after his death. He cried with soldiers who knew his son. He sweated under the same foreign suns. He bonded with friends of his son who share physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wounds. He touched the souls of others to document the spirit of his son’s soul so that it may touch all of us.
“LAST JOURNEY: A FATHER AND SON IN WARTIME” is Darrell Griffin Sr.’s final visit with his son. We are blessed that he was brave and gifted enough to pen this special book. We are fortunate that he composed this healing magic for all to share.
Read this remarkable book today. Recall it every time you view sanitized images of war on all corporate owned TV “newscasts”. Passion and pain trump propaganda.

Are they "House" Negros for fightin "W"s racist war???

if the US gov was to ever be serious about fighting terrorism they might want to re-asses their close knit relationship with saudi arabia. saudi is one of the biggest exporters of terrorim worldwide. with their oil money they sponsor and finance wahabbi movements across the muslim world, afghanistan included. who else could finance al-quaeda in afghanistan? the taliban might've given support, but they weren't giving all the money. and lets not forget that Osama Bin Laden and all the hijackers of 9/11 were actually SAUDI not afghan. and that the country is an undemocratic monarchy with some of the worst human/womens rights violations in the world. but ofcourse saudi arabia has one thing that afghanistan didn't..$$$$$
ReplyDeleteand you can't mess with countries that have $$$$$$$$$$$
so bomb the shit out of an already screwed up nation (afghanistan), and then turn a functioning, secular dictatoriship (which was hated by extremists) into a disfunctional, theocratic "democracy" that is now breeding grounds for new terror groups (iraq)
smart very smart.
which all leads to the conclusion that:
a) the bush administation was full of inept unbelievably stupid morons (which is extremely likely)
b)that the wars in afghanistan and iraq aren't really about fighting terrorism
or C) all of the above.
C is my personal pick.
"What we've managed to do, in our effort to be safe, is bring up ten more generations that will hate, distrust, and seek to destroy us for the remainder of this century."
ReplyDeleteTRUTH!!!!
The sad thing is we could have had Bin Laden in 2001 and crushed the Taliban. If we would have put a few hundred thousand troops in there, instead of the mere pittance we really did, it would have been very hard for many Taliban or Al Qaeda to escape. Instead we relied on the Northern Alliance to do most of the ground work (big mistake) while we bombed the major bases and cities. Consequently, Bin Laden, Mullah Omar and many of the other top targets escaped.
ReplyDeleteAt this point we should just leave with a warning for whomever takes power in that shit hole: "You ever faciliate an attack against us again and will wipe your whole country off the map."
You cannot and will not "nation build" Afghanistan. Only the Afghans can do that(if and when they so choose). Their religion, lifestyle and view of what is most important in life does not match the American view. Trying to remake that country into an American-approved image only shows how stupid and arrogant Americans are. Afghans do not want to be American!
ReplyDeleteWe are there for the oil of course. We will pay for it dearly.

"Fighting...war on terrorism" is an oxymoron (we need cameras and cops on our streets to 'war' on our own homegrown domestic terrorists).
ReplyDeleteOnly peoples native to a region can "nation build" to the exclusion of outsiders.
The O-man is in deep. The parallels between Kennedy and Obama are enticing. Whatever happened to his promised "transparency"? Hate to admit it, but, perhaps Joe Wilson was correct...and had the balls to call 'Barry' out on his lies. BTW, FN, please...can't you erase that grotesque image of beck boy in your sidebar? They did have tenacity, courage, bravery and all the inner strenght that we had. We were on their turf, their house and both of these are strong weapons. ReplyDeleteI agree that it's not America's job to police the world. But once we have made a commitment to a country such as Afghanistan, we ought to have the moral decency to follow through on our word. The Afghan people (and women) are counting on us.
This is Vietnam all over again.
Oh yeah, I noticed you ignored the first para. of my comment as if 'abandonment by Americans' is irrelevant-it's no big thing.
Well, that's what happened in Vietnam.

ReplyDeleteWhat i am continually amazed at is how we have been sold by fuhrer bush's administration a war on a war tactic (war on terrorism)
ReplyDeleteWTF.
you can no more have a war on a war tactic than you can having a black nazi leading it. Our mindset about the war is muddled therefore we cannot give proper aim to go through it. Afganistan, Iraq, Iran are/were kingdoms and empires..not democracies no matter how you want to try to flip/spin that with all versions of history text..its as simple as reading the news to understand that this is why such strongly constructed frames of democracy trying to be implemented are shifting on faulty grounds like in Afghanistan that know nothing but loyalty to the kingdom of Allah in the face of delegation. That said, Vietnam was at first about containing communism in the effort to contain communism, Barack has a chance to turn around and do what both LBJ and Shrub failed to do.
Amerrykkka has an even bigger objective in defeating the terrorists at hand and it begins here. Amerrykkka has a more imperative need to her global stance as a super power and to her moral survival: Detain and Convict the shrub and all the accessories of his administration NOW!!!the CIA makes these monsters and we only hear about them when Amerrykkka's interests are endangered.
I appreciate Gadhfi for having the balls to say what he said before the UN. Let these bitter old whites and jews who propped his O-ness to deny the claims of racism protest and degrade him till their faces fall off..He is a world leader trying to bring peace and end the suffering in the African continent which these lowly white supremacists in Amerrykkka do NOT want and will continue to demonize him..he said that Darfur was put on the sacrificial altar..and did they not drop bombs on his home back in the 80's killing his infant daughter? The payback is something you GOT to believe..
What up with the virgin shit bro.
ReplyDeleteIs that your deep inner cracker trying to leap out or are you implying that a rag head raison d'etre is simply to get laid.
Apologise please!
"obama pimped votes by promising to promptly end wars"
ReplyDeleteYou weren't listening too close during the '08 campaign. Obama promised to end Iraq while continuing Afghanistan. McCain wanted to continue full throttle in both. That, in a nutshell, is our dilemma in a 2 party system with one party half-way crazy and the other totally in the tank.
my thoughts are that the war is probably going to come to an end soon, just a hunch, and also, i would like to give Obama more time to decide what he thinks is best, he took on a world economy crash, hihg unemployment, this "war on terror" shit from shrub, ect.
ReplyDeletei also wonder what the plans are for the troops, will they come back to no jobs, ect?
I appreciate Gadhfi for having the balls to say what he said before the UN.
ReplyDeletePeople defending Muammar Gaddafi? Some great facts about Gaddafi: Was responsible for numerous terrorist attacks, including the Lockerbie bombing, and an attack on a West Berlin club aimed at American soldiers (several were killed, along with civilians.) He is responsible for the training and funding of multiple transatlantic terrorist groups, many of whom targeted US citizens. He is responsible for hundred of assassinations of democratic, Libyan expats living abroad. He is responsible for the disappearance of thousands of democratic activists in his own country. He's a supporter of multiple dictatorships, including the regime of Robert Mugabe. Bu the mid 1980's he was considered the principle financier of international terrorism. He also invaded the country of Chad in 1973. He was a financier of the "Black September" movement which lead to the "Munich Massacre" of the 1972 Olympics.
We bombed the man because he launched terror attacks against us killed US soldiers (one was black, maybe that makes a difference to you?)

Apologize for what? You mean he is not trying to hook up with a bunch of virgins? Now you can color me confused. I thought that was the whole point. I mean f#*%d up life on earth but something to look forward to in the after life.
Oh well, one day I am going to figure this religion thing out.

Gaddafi did not carry out the Lockerbie bombing. Most likely suspects are the Iranians. Their likely reason was revenge for the shooting down of a civilian airliner by a US guided missile cruiser. The captain of the ship was given a medal for killing a lot of rag heads with one shot. The families of the dead were compensated with less money than if you were burnt by scalding coffee in Mickey D's. I think we should have given those sand niggers less; after all they are sitting on oil that rightly belongs to us. As far as I can tell Mugabe has been elected each time. He is finally giving land back to the people it originally belonged to, which has all the crackers up in arms. The whole rationale for the insurgency against Ian Smiths regime was redistribution of land. 100% of good land was in the hands of a handful of whites. Blacks were serfs on their ancestral (and this is going back to the beginnings of human history) lands; very much like the Palestinians are now servants to European jews on land that they have occupied since before Abraham.
ReplyDeleteAmerica should stay the hell out of others peoples business. We have gotten filthy rich by genocide of the Indians and the toil of others and stealing natural resources from poor 3rd world countries and instead of being thankful and staying put we venture out with our oversized fat ugly asses that make for juicy targets.

ReplyDeleteLol!
I'm sure the NAACP will give him an Image Award soon. He took the breadbasket of Africa and turned into the economic catastrophe of the world. They only have one major hospital left working in the whole country! Their currency is worth shit. People are dying from completely curable preventable diseases at massive rates. All to get back at whitey?
Libyans were behind the Lockerbie bombing. Do you think in a dictatorship like Libya they would act without Gaddafi's orders? Hell, they took responsibility for doing it!

The key takeaway from your rant is that by the grace of God - YOU don't live the life that YOUR WORDS allow you to make value judgments about.
I am not sure where YOU live but in the Atlanta Area which is closing out what I call "Bloody Summer" I didn't hear about any "Police Taser Deaths" but I sure saw a lot of "Pirate Attacks" that lead to death.
No surprise that despite all of this murder and "Black People Crying On Television" - today there was a large crowd of "Conscious Negroes" changing "No Justice No Peace" at the hearing of the "Cracker Barrel Attacker".
One White man's assault is more injurious than a summer full of "Pirate Murders".
You all astound me some times.
It is no surprise that with your consciousness heading the NAACP, Congressional Black Caucus and "Color Of Change" that our community continues to have the problems that we do.
CF,
ReplyDeleteHaven't realized that these folks don't care about these pirates. This is a 'hug a thug' website. As long as it isn't white folks doing it, then it's all good. Remember when R Kelly got his award for pissing on a black girl? It's all good! Thousands of black people clipped by other black people? It's all good! Whitey kills somebody? Time to start a war!
Anon 8:08
ReplyDeleteThats right. Rub whitey the wrong way and they will come down like a sack of bricks on your ass. They will manipulate, blockade, embargo the shit out of you until you can't breathe. There are numerous examples: Zimbabwe, Iraq, Cuba, Somalia, Iran, Libya, Nicaragua and the biggest of them all Red China (in the days when it was really red). Death of non-whites is meaningless to Washington, London, Paris. It would be okay if the US severed trade with these countries. They would survive. However the US then uses its vast power and coerces others to not have any trade with that country either.
White man's cruelty is limitless. The economic blockade of Iraq was worse than any mediaeval siege. It went on for years. Half a million babies perished. A country with modern education, health care and infrastructure has been reduced to rubble and may not recover for several generations. Its intelligentsia and professors and doctors have become refugees the world over.
You say stuff like this to whitey and his fucking eyes glaze over cuz he is concerned with the fucking football pool.
BTW: Whitey wasn't growing food in Zimbabwe. He was growing tobacco for export. More money than growing food for the locals.
Zimbabwe, Iraq, Cuba, Somalia, Iran, Libya, Nicaragua and the biggest of them all Red China
ReplyDeleteYou've just listed a group of countries that murdered their own people with ruthless glee. Mao killed between 50-70 million of his own people. Mugabe's killed more people in that country then Ian Smith could dream of. Cuba kills political dissident on the regular. Ditto for Iran and Libya. Saddam killed millions and started two wars. And on, and on, and on, and, on,

I find it alarming that a high percentage of the posts still believe the "official" story of 9/11. 9/11 was an inside job. The three buildings were taken down by controlled demolitions.Yes, three buildings. The Two Towers and WTC building 7. This "false flag" event was staged by the neo-cons and global elite. 9/11 was supposed to be our "pearl harbor" and the justification for the wars in the middle east. We didn't go into Afghanistan to nation build, we went into Afghanistan to control the opium. We didn't invade Iraq because Saddam was a bad man, we went in for oil. Three Thousand people were murdered not by Arabs, but by the people who profit from war. Ask yourself, who benefits?

Yeah, me too CF. But today Blacks have cloudy minds and no hearts. Their ability and capacity to think straight and value black lives has been lost. Only when a white man kills a Negro does the life of "one" black person mean anything. Go figure.
Anon "Links? Didn't you take any history classes?"
ReplyDeleteHe wanted links for the benefit of the majority of his posters who are not well-educated and consequently know little about history, except for a few such as ab, CF, etc.
So thanks Anon. Hopefully those links will help many on this blog to know a little more history.
"Links? Didn't you take any history classes?"
ReplyDeleteWell yeah, actually I did. So you give me the "Free Cuba Foundation" and Wiki? Okaaaay.....
Anyway, the UH link you gave me outlines approximately 50 million deaths in China from 1900-1949. But your reading comprehension and your grasp of hisory is a little shaky.14 million of those deaths should be attributed to the Sino-Japanese war, and 10 million or so the "great famine". We can have a long discussion and debate about that that at some other time, but needless to say I disagree with your characterization of the facts.
This is a quote from Dr. Jung Chang, author of Mao: The Unknown Story: "Mao was responsible for the deaths of well over 70 million Chinese in peacetime, and he was bent on dominating the world. As China is today emerging as an economic and military power, the world can never regard it as a benign force unless Beijing rejects Mao and all his legacies. We hope our book will help push China in this direction by telling the truth about Mao."
ReplyDeleteGet a copy of the book and read the notes from the chapters on the cultural Revolution.
I'm suprised you haven't heard this before. Many historians now consider Mao to have been responsible for more deaths than Hitler and Stalin combined.
Anon. I know all about Mao, and that book from Dr. Chang. You should read a book titled "A Curtain of Ignorance" by Felix Greene.
ReplyDeleteI have also read many western authors and their accounts of what happened during the "Great Leap Forward" period which is what I think you are referring to in your rant about Mao.
People like Roderick McFarquhar have already been discredited because it has been proven that he got money from the CIA to pen his study on Mao and some of his allegations of mass famnis in the "China Quarterly".
I could go on, but...what's the point?
I could go on, but...what's the point?
ReplyDeleteWanna build a case? We can use less controversial source then.
Starting in the mid-1950s, Mao repeatedly affirmed his willingness to sacrifice up to a third of the Chinese population in a nuclear war so long as this would help bring about the downfall of world capitalism.
he Korean War (1950–1953) against the "imperialist" United States provided the backdrop for class warfare against so-called capitalist elements. According to Mao ("On the Correct Handling of Contradictions among the People," February 27, 1957), 800,000 counterrevolutionaries were killed (in 1952 China's population was 575 million).
By far the greatest loss of life during Mao's regime stemmed from the deadly spring famines (1959–1961) of the Great Leap Forward. Unlike the Ukrainian famines in the early 1930s, which Stalin had planned to crush as anti-Russian nationalism, the famine of 1959 resulted from the misguided economic policies of the Great Leap Forward. However, once it became clear that the Great Leap Forward had not only failed to produce the promised economic miracles but also led to serious economic disruptions, Chairman Mao refused to change course because he feared a loss of face, if not his preeminent position. The acrimonious debates about economic reform in 1959 convinced Mao that alleged rightists in the party wanted to replace him. After crushing his supposed enemies, Mao relaunched the Great Leap Forward in late 1959; it collapsed on its own a year later. Due to lack of direct evidence, the number of famine victims can only be calculated on the basis of incomplete demographic data. Most historians agree that excess deaths (the difference between projected and actual demographic data) total at least 20 million (with more than two-thirds of these deaths occurring in 1960 alone); high estimates stand at 65 million (in 1957 China's population was 646 million).
Although still poorly understood, the Cultural Revolution (1966–1976) was, in many respects, Mao's most far-reaching attempt to rid China of his supposed opponents. Unlike Stalin, who remained in firm control of the Soviet party from the 1920s, Mao never had complete command over the CCP. Many of the campaigns from 1957 onward were attempts to increase his political control over the party. However, once Mao realized by the mid-1960s that his quest for undisputed leadership had been stymied, he turned to forces outside the CCP to attack what he considered a reticent party unwilling to implement his erratic policies. The Cultural Revolution was a mixture of party purge and class warfare, during which radicalized students persecuted, humiliated, tortured, and even murdered alleged rightists or counterrevolutionaries. The exact number of those who were killed, committed suicide, or died in camps is not known; nonetheless, it is clear that most of the victims came from the educated strata, had party backgrounds, or were from minorities.

ReplyDeleteand how wonderful you must think it is that ronnie raygun knew about the bombs/mines planted in the Nicaraguan harbors that would kill women children and men civilians...over drugs.
But hey, they are non white, no use for them anyway, right? Its about protecting our..i mean YOUR interests right?
and i bet it gives you a fuzzy feeling to know daddy bush’s bombs would kill lots(5000+) Panama’s Citizens with his terrorist 'arrest' of Noriega.
and let us not forget lil bush’s terrorist attack(78 bombers) on Iraqis just a couple of weeks after taking Office would kill Civilians.
his 550 bombing missions would kill Civilian Iraqis as 14550 plus, were authorized to be killed, all prior to the start of the 2003 spring official attack on Iraq.
These attacks were only a still life portrait as the talks were with Iraq about WMD, and talks about Saddam leaving Office..
550 terrorist attacks on Iraqis authorized, 50 attacks personally signed off by rumsfeld authorizing 1500 plus murders!
and...
Whose regime was it that shot down an civilian Iranian plane again?

ReplyDeletei agree with you: Reagan and bush were assholes too! I don't like them anymore than Gaddafi or Hussein. Why the nasty hatred for white folks? Why is everything a white vs. whomever issue? Just because you hate Bush and Reagan, why embrace another murderer? Maybe you should hitch a plain to Libya. There's no white folks there. Just remember that there's zero free speech and you'll disappear if you piss off the nutty Bedouin.

ReplyDeleteSome folks hate to admit this or outright deny it, but this does hold some merit and was outright embraced for quite some time, especially during the imperialist mentalities of the late 19th/early 20th centuries...(The Rising Tide of Color Against White World-Supremacy-1922)
It's gradually morphed into other avenues or outright dismissed, but I wouldn't say it's extinct by any means. It's enough to look into and wonder at times. Of course, you got some cats on the other end acting a fool, but that's another story...

I generally appreciate the content of this blog, however I must commment on this quote: "OBL is probably now on his sixth or seventh virgin and will never be heard from again".
ReplyDeleteThere is a wide misconception that Muslims believe they will receive (however many) virgins upon dying a martyr. This is not true; it is not in the Quran or Sunnah. And statements about us 'going through virgins' is ignorant, especially when one could easily find out the correct information (you can't beleive everything you hear in the media). Islam does not promise anyone virgins after death or at any other point. There is no need to make sarcastic comments meant to insult the religion.
Although OBL claims to be Muslim, insulting him would've required an entirely different comment.
