Temper temper.

Field, why are you black people so angry? Even when you make millions of dollars and have a career other people would die for, you still can't control your anger.

I wasn't going to blog about Serena's outburst last night during her match with Kim Clijsters, because most people, unlike me, really don't care much about tennis.

But what happened last night was pretty unbelievable. Imagine playing a pivotal match in the semi finals of a grand slam, being the victim of a bogus call, and then losing the match due to your misconduct. (Misconduct, in this case, means telling they line judge that you are going to introduce her to your tennis racket. "Dropping the f-word liberally, Williams said, "I swear to God I'm [expletive] going to take this [expletive] ball and shove it down your [expletive] throat, you hear that? I swear to God.")

What you have to understand about tennis is that a foot fault at this level is rare, and when a line judge calls it they better have pretty damn good evidence that the players foot is touching the service line before the ball leaves their hand. That call last night was a bad one. William's foot did not touch the line. So I don't blame her for being pissed.

Still, as with my man, the football player from Oregon, she should have kept her cool. I know she was having flash backs of her youth in Compton and being shaded in the neighborhood grocery store (think about it) but going South Central on that line-judge only gave casual tennis fans reason to buy into stereotypes.

See, it's like this: John McEnroe can do that kind of stuff and it's considered cute. It's just his competitive nature taking over, just John being John. When someone who looks like Serena does that kind of thing, it takes on an entire different meaning. A-merry-ca is not cool with you Negroes getting angry. If Joe Wilson was a black man and George Bush was giving that speech the other night, he would have been taken out of there in handcuffs. (But I am a U.S. Congressman, take your hands off me. Put your hands behind your back, nigger....let me stop.)

But I saw this coming. I knew the Williams sisters were feeling a little disappointed leading up to Serena's match. I saw how Venus got no love against Clijsters in their match. This is A-merry-ca, right? And Venus was the A-merry-can and Clijsters is from Belgium, right? And they were playing in New York, right? Well how come no love for the A-merry-can? Clijsters was the crowd favorite in both matches. Interesting.

But I am not going to dwell on the dissing of the Williams girls. With all due respect to my man Common, I hear they are a bit housish. (My word.)

So go back to work Serena and try to get Clijsters the next time you hook up. The girl has some serious game, and she is going to be around for awhile. If you want to catch Billie Jean's 12 grand slam singles titles you are going to have to get past her, not to mention the A-merry-can crowd.

  1. Here you go being dishonest.

John was fined, kicked out of clubs, booted from tournys, and was attacked in the press.

His behavior back in the day was hardly consider cute.

If Joe Wilson was black, you on the left would have given him Obama status and his approval ratings among you people would have been higher than God's aproval ratings.

    P.S.,
We now see Joe wilson was telling the truth.

    From MSDNC---

The White House tonight is providing the below clarification on what the president's health-care proposals would mean when it comes to the issue of illegal immigrants.

The question, as we all know, arises from the Wilson "You lie" outburst, and the core claim that notwithstanding specific bill language barring illegal immigrants from participating in the "exchange," as a practical matter, there is no way of verifying the citizenship of applicants -- which is the current state of play. Republicans say that then means illegal immigrants would end up being enrolled in plans -- bill language or no bill language.

Today, for the first time as far as we know, the administration is backing a provision that would require proof of citizenship before someone could enroll in a plan selected on the exchange.

Here, the administration also concedes that hospitals would be compensated with public funds for the care of undocumented immigrants.

  2. She definitely let her anger get the better of her. I'm a Serena fan, so I'm willing to chalk it up to a really bad night. Too bad the match had to end that way. Well, you live and you learn, right?

  3. I don't think this has anything to do with race. It has to do with class. When you have millions of dollars and can damn near do anything you want and you get it by playing a game, then you need to know when to just shut up and walk it off!

When I am getting clowned by some judge or more closely, get dissed by some judge's clerk, I would not be helping my client or my situation by going all "thug life".

It is getting a little sad seeing these folk who are riding high, particularily athletes and actors, who can't seem to behave like adults and then are "shocked, shocked to find" that there are consequences for their behavior.

In words Sister Serena may be able to understand: "I hope you momma slap your ass to the ground 'til your nose bleed snot!" Maybe next time you will act like a grown woman.

  4. Field, I am a big fan of tennis and on this one, I completely disagree. First, McEnroe did not get away with his antics. He was suspended, fined, and lost a match or two because of his bad temper and yelling at judges and linesmen. Second, Clijsters is the come back kid and americans love a come back story. She was seen as the under-dog. It is why tomorrow, you will see the guy playing against Federer being cheered if he gives him a run for his money.
Both Venus and Serena have, for several years now, been fan favorites all over the world, and deservedly so. It is because Serena is such a veteran, that her outburst was so out of line. She isn't some immature kid who got caught up in the moment. She deserved to be called out. And, she was playing again today with her sister for the doubles finals... so she did not get suspended as some thought she should have. (like McEnroe did in 87).
So, I think you are off base on this one. And I Love Serena! I think the Williams sisters are amazing athletes and have made very positive contributions to Women's US Tennis.

It doesn't matter how much or how little yu make, most Blacks are unable to control their anger and rage.

Blacks with celebrity status are visible proof for the white world to see that Blacks are angry dangerous people with no self-restraint. Blacks don't express anger appropriately like normal people, they are out of control life threatening rageaholics. Blacks will kill you for looking at them wrongly.

It is the reason Whites are afraid of Blacks, as Trapped in SC indicated in the post before this one. Hell, Blacks are afraid of Blacks for the same reason because Blacks actually kill Blacks over petty shit due to their rage gone riot.

  7. I'm so glad you blogged this, field, and that you know of what you speak. I saw the Venus/Clijsters match and Serena's match before that, but didn't get to see Serena vs. Belgium. I assumed Serena would dominate, and was surprised to hear of the outcome, but didn't know the details or what they would mean.

Don't they use video or anything to verify?

Anyway, I wish I would have seen it live. And now with a $10,500 fine on top of everything? Ouch.

Btw, when I asked a friend his opinion about the football incident, his only comment: "He was stupid." But what if he called him the n-word? "He was stupid."

  8. I find it interesting how the media fell in love with the White girl Melanie Oudin earlier in the week before she'd actually done anything like say make it to the finals and now the media is all over this Serena outburst story.

It was almost like they were looking for the great White tennis hope and now they are covering the Serena story as if they're saying 'see this is why we need Oudin'.

Sometimes losing your temper is not a bad thing particularly when you are right. Serena does not make a habit of losing her temper on the court and some people have viewed the tape and foot was not on the line, but she was penalized for her behavior. I use to watch tennis when McEnroe played and he would put up argument with he judges if he believed if was a bad call, and I did not blame him for that. People did not like his behavior because tennis is an affluent sport. I do not think it is an issue race, but more about class and decorum.

Now Mr. R., Wilson was not correct and the bill does not cover illegal immigrants under the health insurance plan. It remain status quo in that respect. Now ERs are not going to refuse anyone emergency care. No one is going to ask about legal status if the person cannot breathe, bleeding profusely, or unconscious. Doctors have a moral and legal obligation not to refuse emegency care, Many illegal immigrants are not going to seek routine medical care because of fear of being deported. Which means they are not purchasing insurance. You are going to have to come up with another argument better than the one you just gave.

And finally, why doesn't tennis use instant replay as for controversial calls?

I read SI's account before I watched it and said to myself "you know you lost it when you're own momma is shaking her head saying I agree with Clijsters. I have no idea what happened either." Serena should've kept her cool BUT she also should've been given some latitude given that emotions run high in such a high stakes match. Tennis still acts like 1920 in terms of formalities and the women are more restricted in their conduct than the men.

Serena was as gracious as could be when she greeted Clijsters and Clijsters said so. All the call did was rob Clijsters of a real victory if the accounts of how well she was playing are to be believed. In the footage after, you could tell she didn't want the match to end that way (any true athlete wants to win outright). Serena is a giant of the sport and Clijsters wanted a real win not a technical win. I wish they'd let them play on and if they had to issue some sort of conduct reprimand they could've done so after the match.

In sports, sometimes the "good ones" get punished for a lot less than the "bad ones" because when a good one loses their cool it's unexpected. People just roll their eyes when the bad ones do their thing and say well that's so and so and s/he is a real asshole.

As for fans, I think people love the underdog when they're playing against someone who is usually seen as invincible. Clijsters had a good "drama" narrative behind her and the Williams sisters always dominate.

The linesman whatever motivated her is unknown. I too would like to hear an explanation of the kill part. Seems real fishy.

  29. Serena wasn't on her A+ game, she was going to lose the match, she was angry at herself. The foot fault was suspect. But tennis crowds everywhere are notoriously fickle toward favorites when an underdog's getting an edge. Clijsters wasn't quite the underdog the media made her.

Field, maybe you can explain why a small nation like Jamaica turns out world class sprinters all out of proportion to the population of island? Seems like there's a few dozen men & women. Usain is just the most famous. He shows up at a meet, the stadium sells out.

@La♥Incognita -- Tiger got a reprimand and fine not long ago for saying a judge had made the wrong call. What was messed up about it is that Tiger was pretty much saying that the ref's ruling had hurt his opponent and they were playing a great match-up that should've continued on the way it was. He violated the rules on talking about calls and they fined him. It makes my head spin that you could get fined for sticking up for your opponent. Too many weird rules in Tennis and Golf to keep non-country club types out. They're designed for Buffy and Biff not Jamal and Larry.

John McEnroe v Mikael Pernfors (1990 Australian Open fourth round): Angered by a line-call, McEnroe stopped in front of a lineswoman he thought had made the call and glared at her while bouncing a ball on his racket. Umpire Gerry Armstrong gave McEnroe a warning for unsportsmanlike conduct. Later in the match, McEnroe was sanctioned again for smashing a racket.

Fired up by the second violation, McEnroe swore at the umpire and supervisor. Armstrong went on to announce: "Default Mr. McEnroe. Game, set, match." He was fined $6,500.

  39. Love tennis, high school MVP, went to state 3 times, only won in mixed doubles, played in college before a motorcycle injury messed up my leg; still play...

I am tired of being nice - Venus and Serena have always been hated on by the tennis establishment - hell, a few years ago, all the White girls got together (except Clijsters) and rooted each other on - against the William sisters...

You never know how racist someone is until you know... when we played, I was always Martina Navratilova and modeled my game after hers, and my serve after John McEnroe's... I cried the year when Navratilova loss at the U.S. Open to Chris Everett Lloyd - for god sakes - and she has made several racist remarks about the sisters; as well as saying that they should play tennis and tennis only... but I knew that that was because most tennis players; still today don't even finish high school; in fact most of them if anything get their GEDs!

I think that some of the older players are a little protective of them and try to not feed into the hype - Pam Shriver, for instance, even John McEnroe in his own off handed way - but for the most part, it is envy and some hatred... they are used to it, and I really don't think that it sticks with them.

They are always looking for the next Great White Hype - and if you cannot get an American any foreigner will do... I think that Sharapova was the only one whose hype was deserving - but she flamed out.

Clijsters was always a very good player, and she and the William sisters have had some good matches, and at one time they practiced together, if I am not mistaken. When all the other players got together and kkk'd on the Williams' she was the only one who stated publicly that she was not going to get involved in that crap; and that she felt that they were great players, and she like them...so - it is what it is.

The William's made American tennis - after Navratilova, Everett, Graf, Sabatini, Lendl, McEnroe...ect, had moved on - there was no one to watch - I used to love Pete Sampras; and even he caught hell because he wasn't flashy enough for some... like Andre Agassi....

If the Williams' sisters are not playing - no one is watching!

All in all Serena got a bad call; and I think that that should be redressed. She is human, she can have a bad night, and she can get angry as hell if she wants. It was a moment and she moved on... why let that stay with you???

Say what you want, but their parents schooled them very good in how to live in America, and persevere...

The Williams sisters get paid off the top just for showing up, first, and I am sure both made tens of thousands on top of that each round they got through, plus they should have the doubles title in the bag and that ain't no chump change, and oh yeah - Serena is not going to pay that fine out of her pocket - they are insured for all of that stuff...

I look at it like this - so what!
They have alot going for them, tennis has given them alot, and hurt them too; but most of all they have given tennis alot...
most times when they face all kinds of racist bullshit thrown at them they hold it in and keep moving... give them a break and let them be human too.

We all know that there is Hypocrisy in America - and those lines are clearly drawn in Black and White.... there are a couple of White Athletes who are charged with rape right now - and we hear nothing????

If Serena was White, her anger, would have been deemed passion.

That's easy, we eat lots of roast breadfruit. Just kidding.

Seriously, track and field is huge in Jamaica. We get 40,000 in the national stadium to our high school track championships every year. Most kids want to be on the track team because it can be a meal ticket out, and it carries the most prestige. So our best athletes go out for track.

Some of our great sports heroes, like Donald Quarie and Herb McKinley and Marlene Ottey were track stars, so it's also passed down from generation to generation. If your parents grew up admiring these people you are more than likely going to get into a sport where you can be like them.

I have a t-shirt that says on the front - "I am so damn tired!" The back says "I've been black all day!". I can't imagine what Serena faces while dominating a sport that whites have not yet truly welcomed blacks into. Serena and Venus are the modern day Jackie Robinson (modern MLB) or Chuck Cooper ( NBA). Only difference is these old cats had to take shit from white people in fear of their lives - they had no choice. Serena and Venus can lash out with consequences but at least they won't be found lynched somewhere by the KKK. Well, let's hope not. Never can underestimate the hate and bigotry of some people regardless of race.

Serena needs to keep her anger in check. Open up the cans of 'whupass' on the court and shut those haters the fuck up.

Kanye is crazy and need psychological help. White people lashing out using the "N" word on twitter is not called for. Funny how white people just can't wait to use the "N" word. They just sit around waiting for the opportunity use it. Bigot bastards!

Ok get this - those awards from MTV, BET don't qualify talent at all, just marketing. Cream always rises to the top- no matter what. Phony put together groups don't qualify talent. I don't need anybody to tell me "who the best is" I judge for myself. These awards are for folks who can't figure it out for themselves. As Miles Davis said " I want a reward, not a award" Sister Serena has plenty rewards!

Remember in the late 90s the national furor over Milwaukee Bucks star Latrell Sprewell choking his coah P.J. Carlesimo?

Well Rob Dibble could beat the $hit out of his manager Lou Piniella in front of ESPN cameras and not draw one tenth the outrage.

this meltdown was truly painful to witness
    and unlike j mac
this is ATYPICAL behavior for serena

    the williams sister champs always
garner tons of racist colorist hatred...but they usually take it all in stride...

there had to be more going personally/emotionally?...more than the understandably enraging antics of just one blind racist asian cheating official...who could easily have been corrected by video playback...

i pray serena slays all today and dedicates her legendary comeback victory to her blind catty nemesis...

    go serena!!!

I can understand her losing her temper, but perhaps telling the line person that you are going to take this fucking ball and ram it down fucking your throat is not a wise move. John McEnroe did lose his temper, but he did not physically threaten anyone, and always went to ref whenever he thought there was a bad call. John McEnroe has also apologized for his behavior over the years, and it probably is a good idea for Serena to do the same thing. Although, this so uncharacteristic of her to do something like that because she is usually has great sportsmanship. That was a weird moment for her.

OK all you anons... for the Men, I guess I can now say "All White Men Are"
    Serial Killers: Dahmer, Bundy
Mass Murderers:Colombine, Virginia Tech, almost all school shootings
Terrorists: Oklahoma bombers, Abortion Clinic bombers

    And "All White Women Are"
    Baby Killers: Susan Smith
Man hating knife wielders: Lorena Bobbitt
Crude Drug Using Entertainers: Courtney Love, Britney Spears, Lyndsey Lohan, Anna Nicole Smith

Do you see how STUPID it is to suggest the behaviors of individuals somehow reflect the attitudes and values of an entire race of people? And finally, one more example:

All white people are assbackward, hood wearin, xenophobic, racist spewing, uneducated, illiterate boobs: Example: You anons and Mr.R. and Frank who is not Frank.

Thankfully, the people that post on this blog are not as stupid as you and know better.

Especially in terms of Stolen Africans in America. You cant screw over millions of people, repeatedly generation after generation and tell them to get over it and that pointing out YOUR faults is wrong, given there has been a strong precedent set. Hell the body of work in that regard is extensive. Lets put it this way if extra terrestrials asked you people* for a resume before joining their world there would be some things on your resume you SHOULD omit.

Black or white, poor or rich, we have become a nation of uncivilized people. As the character on Fat Albert used to say "no class."

Folks chat on their cell phones about the most personal of topics in line at Starbucks and Walmart.

Folks make excuses for their childrens rue and disrespectful behavior in gated communities and "around the way."

The young of every color assault your ears with profanity-laden conversations and/or music whenever you come across them in public spaces.

I for one am sick of it all. Joe Wilson, teabaggers, birthers, Glenn Beck, Michael Jordan, Serena Williams an Kayne West all acted like folks who have absolutely no home training this week. I know someone's mama taught them better. We can disagree w/o violating rules of decorum, respect and proper manners.

For a bunch of suppossed Christians, I see a whole lot of un-Christ type behavior all the time. Too many of us act and live like we are on a reality show called "America's Rudest People" all the time.

And thanks to the internet and satelite television, the entire world gets to see our folks beahving badly all the time.

  66. What you need to understand is this:John McEnroe was feeling guilty about himself also. While McEnroe was on Camera, he didn't have must to say.Senera said she was sorry, and life goes on. What most of you don't understand is the Williams sister have a life after tennis.
Problems with us Human is our ego and the willing to face the truth.
Once we understand unconditional love for everyone, things will get alittle better.
    Until then:
When you don't have boundaries in your life, people will inject themselves into places in your life where you do not want them, and where they have no business being.
Have boundaries in your personal life so you or I can draw a line in the sand and say, Beyond here I will ot go and you cannot come.

Sorry, but this is one of your weaker posts. You say that white Americans were cheering on Clijsters instead of the Williams sisters because the Williams are black and angry. Now - it's that the Williamses have dominated women's tennis for almost a decade, and Clisters is just coming back to tennis. Sports fans like a comeback story. By your logic, I should not cheer on Usain Bolt, since he is not an American athlete.

Williams had a bad day. A REALLY bad day - it happens to everyone. Yes, the call was wrong - and the line judge should probably not work a Grand Slam event again. BTW - can we expect Serena to play in other tournaments besides the 4 majors?

  75. Interesting trend I'm seeing field, maine...some tacky ass S.C. rep. blurts out his butt like some spastic retarded child in class and gets hailed a hero and is admonished and supported... then another two black athletes who get treated badly besides
Michael Jordan are Venus and Serena Williams.

Why is that they have won almost twenty grandslams (MAJOR tennis tournaments) combined, yet the white, blonde Maria Sharapova is the highest paid female athlete- $25 million+ a year from advertisers- for winning two and flopping for the past two years?

THEN Kanye exercises his first amendment rights albeit in a most unceremonious way, and every (lord help me ) ritz goes wild and drops the 'N' bomb. We know that's white peoples magic word when they get angry @ someone black…you know they are going to pull it out their hat…because it’s always under the surface… see first poster for reference

Our women are not worthless our men are not either...the worth of this entire damned country is measured by negro sweat, as noted and acknowledged by the Germans, the French.. all of the western diaspora..Well, this was predictable. . .The backlash continues. I also note that this is the *U.S.* Open..I don't recall them getting penlised so hard any place else..sure she's had her moments, shes yelled and talked shit to the crowd to the refs..but we see this on the football fields and other sports and we don't want to go into hockey where its okay for two drunk white guys slugging the shit out of each other and its egged on...smdh...doubles..yes..double standard.

I think the Williams sisters are what any good athlete is, competitive, passionate for their game, do i think they should be penalized. No..and there was even talk of them being banned...*lol* somebody I would say is scared... its the same shit Jessie Owens endured and why Joe Louis was so betrayed by amerikkka as renowed around the world as he was...it seems that no matter how good we are we can always count on the sweet land of liberty to discount us for what we're really worth..which in the end only makes a good person even better...

    interesting trend indeed.

As a long time tennis player (high school singles champion, collegiate all-american, and California USTA 35+ champ), I can truly say that tennis is not the "gentleman" sport that all profess. I won't go into the behavior of past players as some folks here have already pointed them out...but I can attest to the ugly and hateful words, treatment...and subtle racism that Serena and Venus have have had to endure on the tour. I've work many times as an official at PTA and USTA tournaments and recall when that little primadonna bitch Martina Hingis got her ass kick by Venus early in her career. Well, one match, in the locker room Martina made some very derisive and racist comments about the Williams, who were beginning their rise on the circuit.

She said that regardless of their talent..."they were still ugly and looked like black monkeys". This was never reported in the media nor was it ever addressed on the tour...nor was Hingis fined for her racist comments.

It is well known that many of the white female (i.e., American...Russian...Czech, etc.) players frequently "hated" on the Williams sisters and the tour has done it's part by ignoring Serena's recent reign in tennis by refusing to recognize her as the number one player...even though it's obvious to EVERYONE who plays the game admits this.

Dinara Safina was the #1 ranked woman when the US Open began...but she has NEVER WON ONE GRAND SLAM event ever...but she #1?...GTFOH

Serena on the other hand has won 3 Grand Slam events THIS YEAR...WTF!

Insofar as her recent behavior on the court...I personally wished she could have held it in, comeback and made history...but sometimes in pressure-packed situations, we don't always make the best decisions...that's called being human.

Serena, you're a beautiful black queen..there are folks who REALLY love the game and appreciate your enormous talent and what you and Venus have brought to the game.

    SHO NUFF...YA DIG!

I love tennis, but I am a lousy 3.0 player at 53 yrs. old because I was a Jehovah's Witness most of my life. The forty years I was in this cult they didn't encourage participation in sports little less being a professional athelite.

I am no longer a JW, but I admit it makes me angry when I see that the Williams sisters are able to claim they are Jehovah's Witnesses AND show up with boyfriends that are rap stars no less. I am curious to see how the JW cult will respond to Serena's outburst. I know any regular JW would be "publicly reproved" for such an outburst...let's see if the richest Jehovah's Witness can get away with it.

    Anon...

I can't say whether Hingis did or didn't say that ugly racist shit but here's something from the NY Times March 30, 2001 that would indicate that something was occurring on the tour between the Williams sisters and other players...if you want to find the article, I'm sure you can google it.

"Martina Hingis, the number one seeded woman tennis player in the world, labeled Richard Williams' allegations of racism "total nonsense." She stated in an outrageous comment, "I definitely don't feel like there is any racism on the Tour. I mean, it's a very international sport ... they may be black but they have a lot of other--how do you say?--advantages to be where they are. They can always say it's racism or something like that..."

Hingis went on to say that because she is Swiss, she could also say she is a "victim" of racism, since she was surrounded by U.S. citizens during the tour. This statement was so incredibly ridiculous that even some of the press dismissed her statements as being "naive and silly."

From my perspective, these statements made by Hingis are profoundly racist and pretty fucking ignorant, whether said consciously or unconsciously.

Whenever one of the Williams sisters defeated Hingis, she always made comments about their physical attributes..."physical prowess" as opposed to intelligence, knowledge of the game and court strategy. These kinds of statements are commonplace among white sports reporters, coaches and athletes whenever any black athlete excels in a sport...particularly in where whites largely dominate it.

This was the tournament that Hingis alledgedly made those remarks...and the where the NY Times interviewed Richard Williams regarding the harassment and racism that his daughters had to endure. I would also suggest looking up the Indian Wells incident and Justin Heine-Hardenn regarding racist incidents that the Williams sisters have endured.

And btw...if you hate black folks so much..why hang out here?

ab, when Granny asked you the question, you basically said that the question was offensive, AND, then proceeded to speak about assassination in quite the cavalier tone, no? really, i would also like to know more about your opinion on assassination and the the right wings actions.

also, you do make claims that the media loves Obama, i don't feel that way at all, the Wall Street Journal was taken over recently, it's more like a fake news rag now, and even seemingly benign stories or articles in the MSM actually are reinforcing the right wing point of view. Even a cartoon I saw today about Obama, it was about him being a communist, and seemed to be making fun of the right, but if you look at the cartoon, it's almost as if President Obama has Communist China written on his face. It really struck me that way. Images have a very powerful effect on the mind.
Communism, marxism, nazism, these all create strong images of fear in many people. That is intentional, no?

President Barack Obama/GWB 2.0’s blatant lies were FAR more offensive than Wilson’s hateful outburst. Governments should NEVER own or control banks, auto companies, new car dealerships, or medical insurance. Obama’s “health reform plan” is only a permanent stimulus plan for medical corporations. It will degrade health care quality and increase costs for all privately insured citizens by enticing employers to dump them into cheaper medical options. The exorbitant costs of prescription drugs will soar to become even more oppressive. Millions of poor people will be excluded and forgotten, as no public option was ever an actual component of this elaborate medical hoax...

lemme say i think it high time the Williams got some spine into their game and came BLACK at them.. the line judge is/was racist... hence, the bad calls to evoke Serena's ire and that was justify...had it been me [in the body of Blake] a racket and a 95.0 mph bright green ball would have been at the judges head.. and for the record, Serena is still US Open champ for women since Clijsters did win on game playing, she won on judge match fixing. That aint win... so how much did this line judge make in the outside betting pools i wonder? Messing up a player serve is a big no no in tennis, you muck up their entire game and concentrate and strategy. I hope to see Serena meet the C-blink in Roland Garros and shove aces down her throat to the point that she goes right back to where Henni is retired from fear of black strength.
