People are always accusing us black folks (especially the field Negroes) of playing the victim card. But I have some news for you; no one plays the victim card more or better than conservatives. No one.
Tonight I am thinking about another example of conservative victim hood. This time it's my blond friend from California, Carrie Prejean, who has been making the rounds for truth freedom and the good book, lately.
Poor Carrie, it seems that she just can't buy a break. First her hopes of becoming Ms. U.S.A. ends up dashed because of an ugly question from some liberal blogger who set her up. "I felt as though Satan was trying to tempt me in asking me this question. And then God was in my head and in my heart saying, "Do not compromise this. You need to stand up for me and you need to share with all these people . . . you need to witness to them and you need to show that you're not willing to compromise that for this title of Miss USA."And I knew right here that it wasn't about winning. It was about being true to my convictions." That's how she described her experience to her brother in Christ, James Dobson. And, if you will recall, she got into some more problems with the pageant due to some nude photos. But she explained that away in typical conservative fashion by saying "the wind blew her dress open..."
And then, just when she is getting her life back together and spreading the word about freedom and love of God and country, another ugly little scandal comes out with allegations of...ahem...some rather racy self exploration on her part. (Carrie, if you think Larry King is a tough interview, you might want to get out of the spotlight.)
Field, she did 8 sex tapes and there are at least 30 nude photos of her. EIGHT? Oh my! I wonder if she told Dr. Dobson and her right wing friends that there were eight tapes?
But, Carrie is smart, when all else fails she did what any good conservative would do; she blamed the ugly left wing media. "There is this double standard that conservative women are fair game to be attacked and it's not right..."
Of course it's not Carrie, I feel you girl. Us victims have to stick together.

Confused Carrie Prejean is the gift that keeps on giving, as the prototypical example of the classic, gaybashing, and pseudo-christian hypocrite. First, she incessantly and ignorantly attacked one lone gay pageant judge, Perez Hilton, and insanely blamed him for all of the heterosexual judges who agreed with him about her being a sore loser. Then, she pretended that her typical opinions on gay marriage, shared by the blindly beloved President Barack Obama/GWB 2.0 and MOST of the pageant's judges, had something to do with her buybull confusion and unanimous selection as loser. Then, she became suddenly reticent when her own mother was exposed as a lesbian. Then, when her own lewd modeling photos surfaced, she pretended that her naked and fake breasts were uniquely holy. Most recently, she has been busted as a viral porno star.
This endless saga is typical of those sinners who hate homosexuals. They are bigoted fools who pretend that they are morally superior to all of the homosexuals they hate. They completely ignore gay love as they obsess over gay sex. Their arrogant ignorance always lends them the audacity of delusion. Their brazen buffoonery fuels constant humiliation. Their horrid karma always devours them eventually.
There is nothing regal about this clueless beauty queen who is a royal nemesis to increasingly amused gays and those who love us. All rabid gaybashers are closeted and self-loathing homosexuals. I am certain that we have not seen the best chapter of this endlessly seedy story yet…

(I heard it on the radio while bumper-car derbying it thru rush-hour traffic so I'm sketchy on the hard-core details.) Apparently, Georgia will soon follow after Mississippi, then even Louisiana and Alabama. While unsurprisingly, Kentucky, Arkansas and Oklahoma will remain the home of redneck, overweight hicks who suck on the federal teat even as they whine about us Colored folk and the mean old federal government that so kindly subsidizes their right-wing stupidity. But the Deep South, amazingly enough, is "Emerging Blue" territory due to the Reverse Great Migration back into Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama and the rest of the Deep South: African-Americans from California, Massachusetts and New York (especially), as well as hopelessly retarded Upper South, Plains, and Appalachian states like Oklahoma, Kentucky, Kansas, Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia and Nebraska, all concentrating demographically in Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama and even Louisiana.
According to the report, the Reverse Great Migrants into the Deep South are also being supplemented by heavy Black immigration from overseas into the USA, not only from the Caribbean, Brazil and Africa but from Europe also. (An eye-opener for me, but France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy and Spain all have decent-sized Black populations, who are now heavily inclined to migrate to the USA with Barack Obama in charge, and with the increasing realization of a Black achievement class in the United States. If any one of you speaks some French, German, Dutch or whatever-- let's lend those Blacks overseas a hand in coming here, the more the merrier!)
Anyway, it just totally made my day. Time is on our side in the USA, folks. With us becoming the new majority in the Deep South, and Latinos becoming the majority in Texas and Florida (as well as the whole Southwest), soon the racist, useless, obstructionist Republicans will never, ever again win national office, even as they delude themselves otherwise. In fact, I look forward to the day of Redneck Republican exploding heads, when Mississippi, Georgia, Texas, and then Alabama and Louisiana become reliable Blue States. If anything, I think we should be accelerating the process, by encouraging us to concentrate in these places. In a democracy, a large and mobilized group of people in a given state translates into political power.
I say, the sooner, the better. Since it was African-Americans who basically built the very Deep South in the first place, with our unpaid slave labor, it's about damn time we got paid up and took permanent control of Mississippi and the rest of the Deep South. With our Colored Brothas and Sistas the Latinos in firm control of California, Texas, Florida and the SW (all states stolen from them by greedy Anglos in the Mexican War or other aggressive BS), the once-slaves will be taking control from the Massas once and for all. If we can encourage even further Black immigration to these states from overseas, we'll speed it up even faster. (Much of the Black and Muslim immigration is also going to traditional centers like New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey and Illinois, of course, but the stream's also going to the Deep South in increasing numbers, even to Georgia and Mississippi, which is a trend to encourage.)
I want my Grandma and Grandpa to see the day soon when Mississippi becomes majority African-American, and the crimes of the centuries against us are finally overcome. With a Black governor, Black Senators and recognition for our historical place in creating these states in the first place.

a) When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
b) I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
c) I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
d) Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
e) I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
f) A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an Abomination (Lev 11:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
g) Lev 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
h) Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev 19:27. How should they die?
i) I know from Lev 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
j) My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

The following are ten reasons not to be fooled by such biblical trickery. Refer to these items to silence any blasphemous gaybashers, INSTANTLY! ( Most have never even read their bibles. It is difficult to read any book while it is closed and being used as a club...):
1. There is no word for homosexuality in the original, ancient Hebrew text. The bible makes NO reference to homosexuals as we know them today, nor as they exist in every living species.
From The Church and the Homosexual: “Malakoi and arsenokotai are not synonymous with homosexual. The former were simply debauched individuals, and the latter were probably male prostitutes or those given to anal intercourse, which is not necessarily or exclusively homosexual activity.”
From The Good Book: “The King James version of the 1611 text makes no mention of homosexuality or any of its cognates. The first use of the term in an English bible is to be found in the Revised Standard of 1946.”
2. The story of Sodom and Gomorrah has NOTHING to do with homosexuality. You will not even find the word “homosexual” in any version of this text. The angels came to destroy the city BEFORE they met the evil mob. Lot offers his virgin daughters to that same mob. Later, these same girls rape Lot. Lot’s wife was destroyed. If this story condemns homosexuality, then it also condones incest and gang rape. And, Lot’s wife was a lesbian. NONE of which is true.
From The Good Book: “The Hebrew verb “to know” is rarely used in a sexual sense. It occurs 943 times in the Old Testament and in only 10 of those does it have the sense of carnal knowledge. Sodom is referred to throughout the Old Testament as a place of wickedness and is synonymous with it. But, nowhere does it state that homosexuality was the wickedness in question...Sodomite refers almost exclusively to a male prostitute...to say that homosexual conduct is wrong because the bible says it is, is not to answer, but to dismiss the question....Sex can be productive without being reproductive. Homosexual rape is never to be condoned. It is indeed, like heterosexual rape, an abomination before God. David’s sin of adultery with Bathsheba does not make all heterosexual expressions sinful!”
From The Bible, Ezekiel 17:48-50: “The Lord says ‘Your sister Sodom’s sins were pride and laziness and too much food. While the poor and needy suffered outside her door, she insolently worshipped many idols as I watched. Therefore, I crushed her.’”
From What the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality: “The sin of Sodom was abuse and offense to strangers-insult to the traveler, inhospitality to the needy. The story is no more about sex than it is about pounding on someone’s front door. The bible offers NO valid conclusion whatsoever about homosexuality.”
3. Leviticus, Romans, and Corinthians all refer to “unnatural sex” for HETEROSEXUALS. It is NATURAL for HOMOSEXUALS to engage in homosexual sex.(Also see WHAT IS REAL SEX herein.) Yet, heterosexuals sin daily as gay prostitutes, porno film stars, lewd voyeurs, prison rapists, etc....
From The Good Book: “In Romans...Paul did not discuss gay persons but heterosexual people who performed homosexual acts. To suggest that Paul’s references to excesses of sexual indulgence, involving homosexual behavior, are indicative of a general position in opposition to same-sex eroticism, is as unfounded as arguing that his condemnation of drunkeness implies opposition to the drinking of wine. In Corinthians 1:7, Paul discusses the conjugal relations that ought to obtain between christian husbands and wives. For those whom celibacy was too high a price, he issued his famous edict that it was ‘better to marry than to burn’- not in hell. But with desire for the satisfaction of sex. Nowhere does he mention the sole purpose of such conjugality is the procreation of children.”
4. In Levitcus, homosexuality is an abomination not because it is inherently evil, but because the Gentiles do it. It is, therefore, ritually impure.

7. God is love. Homosexuals are consenting adults who love each other. Gay love is invisible to gaybashers. They see only gay sex. They hunt it down, exclusively, obscenely, curiously, and passionately. Many gaybashers are homosexuals. They will love us when they learn to love themselves.

Religion has destroyed spirituality. Religion is man-made and divisive. Spirituality is divine and unifying. Religion selects the designated few. Sprituality embraces the divine in us all.

Party faithfuls have either been forgiving, or in denial, so eager are they to find someone, anyone, who can carry a conservative standard high enough to show it off to a world increasingly edging toward liberalism, and progressivism, and away from the conservative precepts upon which this country was built, as they would have us believe.

ReplyDeleteField, I think media is simply expressing what people already feel. The rise of Fox news is mostly related to the immense backlash over other diverse views. Think about it, white flight was common long before the rise of what we know call main stream media. All the media and the internet do is make it easier for people to be surrounded by others who are of their particular ideology. And it goes way beyond ideology; even "liberal" and "dviersity loving" are apart of this. Look at the Pacific Northwest and New England. Those are both very liberal areas, yet they are also very white. They keep getting whiter to. By 2025 we are going to have 12 states that are less than 60 percent white but also 12 states that are over 85 percent white. The balkanization is under way--and it will continue.

Furthermore, the admonition about homosexuality, according to some theologists, was aimed at idolatrous practices. (Apparently, sodomy was practiced by some idolatrous sects).
This is a credible argument when you note that there is no admonition in Leviticus about women being with women.

@Jason -- I was loving on you until you lumped Tennessee in with the group you did. East Tennessee voted against secession, started the very FIRST in the nation newspaper dedicated solely to Abolition, and was remarked upon by many as being the freest place in America to talk about ending slavery despite the fact that TN was technically a slave state. When secession came TN voted no the first time THEN the State Government sent TROOPS to East TN to suppress the vote and get their secession. After that, E. TN tried to secede from the Confederacy.

TN was considered by the southerners who supported slavery as the evilest, most dangerous, and traitorous place in the Union. Lincoln personally directed his generals to capture E. TN knowing they'd be greeted as liberators (they were) and that the Confederate communications lines would be broken with its capture. Tennessee was the only state to abolish slavery by popular vote and the only Confederate state to do so on its own.
We gotta lot of stupid still but give the state some credit. TN ain't Arkansas, OK, or NE. ;)

That's a very good question, for ALL of us. Carrie is a Christian like so many of us. IMO, Carrie might have done things differently if she had the chance to start again, but we ALL have done things we could have done better at.
We are ALL fallible human beings who 'want' to be better people. But we make mistakes all the time...it's how we learn in trying to find out who we are. BTW, Carrie is probably much further along in that process than many of the rest of us 'hypocrites'.
Religion and church are for those of us who ARE 'hypocrites'. Most Christians are not Saints or Gods- they are not perfect like God Almighty, but look to HIM for guidance. Hypocrites? Yes Field, we are hypocrites. In fact, I don't know one human who is not, including those who call Christians hypocrites.

3. obsessive compulsive disorder: the fact that she can't let a single post go without commenting with an attack against obama is proof enough, but also the fact that she cannot stay off the blog for more than a few hours at a time.
4. bipolar disorder: the mania is clearly present in the number of times she posts, how she repeats herself. how her temper builds and explodes, usually over nothing or something very small. the primary symptom of bipolar disorder is irritability and she surely has evidenced that in spades. while i haven't seen the depressive side of her disorder, i am assuming it happens when she's off this site.
i hope she gets help; maybe this list will get her thinking about trying to heal herself.
