They hate their government, but they love A-merry-ca.

*

Politics is a pendulum whose swings between anarchy and tyranny are fueled by perpetually rejuvenated illusions.
~
Albert Einstein~

If you are looking for me Friday don't look in Philly. I will be down in Dallas for the first ever Tea Party convention.....OK, I think you all know that's a lie. But the teabaggers will be gathering in Dallas (down conspiracy theorist) Friday to vent about big government and the beige King in Washington. It looks like the Tea Baggers are finally trying to organize into a cohesive political unit, but as is the case with all new groups; they seem to be having some growing pains.

"Organization for the convention in Nashville has been plagued by in-fighting, pullouts and criticism of an attendance cost of more than $500 and a glitzy dinner that evokes Wall Street rather than Main Street.

It also brings together activists who make for an awkward fit, mirroring wider divisions in a movement which seems united in little but its opposition to big government, especially under Obama's Democrats.

Conservatives ascribe the movement to grass-roots frustration with the big spending ways of both Democrats and Republicans. Liberals counter that it is a Republican Party or corporate front.

"Some have tried to portray this movement as a commercial endeavor rather than the grassroots uprising that it is. Those who do so don't understand the frustration everyday Americans feel when they see their government mortgaging their children's future with reckless spending," Palin wrote in an opinion published on Wednesday in USA Today.
Palin said she will donate her fee as keynote speaker at the convention to the cause and its candidates."

Hey, I am all for "grass-roots," but a populist grass-roots movement in a democracy which seeks to "throw the bums out" confuses me. I mean didn't we just elect the people in power by a majority vote from the general population? And hasn't it only been a year since the beige King has been in office? I can't believe that the "natives" are getting restless already. I mean honestly, the guy has been governing from the extreme center and the tea baggers are outraged. What if he had been governing like he should have? I guess we would have already had a full blown revolt on our hands.

Actually, when you consider that 58% republicans don't believe that O was born in A-merry-ca, 24% believe that O wants the terrorist to win, 31%-who worship at the church of Glen Beck- believe that O is a racist , and over 30% of them want him impeached, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that a revolt could be just around the corner.

"It takes its name from the historic protest against British taxation, the Boston Tea Party, one of the triggers of the American revolution against colonial rule."

I know that O has been staring down his political opponents lately, but he had better stay out of Dallas. These new revolutionaries scare me.

The kind of mau-mau, left wing militant that people want Obama be is contrary to his personality and is counterproductive for our overall cause.

If Obama were to govern like Farrakhan, we'd be calling the 'Tea Party' the 'Lynch Mob' and the CBC would probably be ducking under their chairs. These nuts already bring loaded weapons to town hall meetings. He's Black and smart, that scares the tea baggers quite enough.

They claim to love "America", but the question remains which "America" they are loving. Their 'Mur-ka is overwhelmingly white, with a few tame negroes like CF to provide the Best Friend defense (blah blah blah some of my best friends are black blah blah blah).

I have to wonder, where were these assholes nine years ago? Oh, wait, we had a white president back then. My bad.

  3. I am vastly amused by the prurient double entendre of "teabaggers". Did they hang themselves with that, or did the media?

  4. I love Palin's 2 cents on this:

"I will not benefit financially from speaking at this event. My only goal is to support the grassroots activists who are fighting for responsible, limited government — and our Constitution. In that spirit, any compensation for my appearance will go right back to the cause."

    From Politico -

"documents obtained by POLITICO reveal the going rate for the former Alaska governor: $100,000 a speech, with a discount to $75,000 for West Coast appearances. Palin has reportedly waived the fee for some charitable events, but what’s billed as a meeting of the grass-roots conservative movement is not among those."

This lady is such an unskilled liar. Seriously, can Bill Clinton or Karl Rove give her lessons or something?

Those tea-bangers make me laugh. Canada must be filled to capacity by now. I thought some of those Texans wanted to emancipate Texas from America. What are they waiting for?

  7. Field,

I don't know if you ever read this, but I had my own run-in with the Teabaggers back in August:

    http://bootynovelbill.blogspot.com/2009/08/outside-town-hall-my-own-private-tea.html

They're not as scary as they seem on TV. In fact, they're more confused than anything. But anybody who thinks race has nothing to do with it is just purposely deluding themselves.

I'm thinking they'll disappear soon enough, God willing--or, I guess, pass the ammunition.

  8. God I hate Dallas. It's not even really part of Texas.

I thank God they cancelled the one here because of the same exact crap that went on in N'ville. And, at the costs to attend one? It was going to be $750.00 a day to attend here, just how 'grassroots' is that really? That's some tall ass grass.

The founding fathers would not recognize this "revolt" for what the teabaggers claim it is. A most glaring discrepency is the teabaggers are silence on the corporate take over of the election process. The original tea party was absolutely a revolt against a corporate take over of people's lives on this continent.

  9. These people are disgruntled, bad losers. Their candidate lost and they cannot accept that fact. And even if 10 thousand of them came together, they do not represent the majority of American's thinking. Over and over people have polled that they want job creation, health care reform that includes no pre-existing condition, affordable for ALL, and not being bankrupted for major illnesses. We want the infrastructure of our country shored up (roads, bridges, crumbling schools, etc) and we know all of that costs money. We want an end to the war in Iraq and we don't want to be seen as bullies and emperialists in the world. The only thing the tea-baggers share in common with me is our shared anger at the bail out of the banks... where we part ways is I now want major reforms of the banking industry so that NO industry, banks, car companies, any company is considered too big to fail. No company should be able to hold the entire country hostage again.
So, they can gather and piss and moan and do whatever they want. I just ask that we all remember, they are NOT the majority. They do not represent the direction we want our country to go... the election proved that fact. So, I encourage you to call the media out if they try to suggest that somehow these people represent you and me.

  10. should tea baggers
    have any clout
    their silly notions
    cause me much doubt

    their dubious ideas
    have me confused
    they scream for justice
    have we all been abused

    and then if we have
    do they have the cure
    they spout useless rhetoric
    their palliatives obscure

to me they are a symptom
    a disease most malign
    how do we squelch it
    and then make it benign

    a new grass roots movement
    one with common sense
    based on our community
    not on ignorance

    well there it is
    in black and white
    a new grass roots movement
    not owned by the right

Sounds like the 1950s thereabouts. Funny, since most Teabaggers were born and raised around this time. Such a quaint era to go back to.....

But I'm not taking these Teabaggers lightly. They've managed to form a semi-cohesive movement with a fair bit of press behind them. If left to their own devices, this could snowball, becoming something that's even bigger than Obama. And that's a pretty big problem.

These confused Tea Party people could care less about TAX'S, they just want to make the President's life a living HELL! what a BUNCH of Ignorant people! Sarah Palin is getting Rich off of these people! they give this lady money to fight against the President, but, yet, they don't want to pay a Measly extra couple of dollar's for Tax's!

Hey Brother Field I think you are on to something but please don't call them revolutionaries they are reactionaries. There is nothing revolutionary about being opposed to your neighbor having health care or being opposed to immigration because you believe these folks will take something from you. And peep the fact that while they are complaining about too much government they are not protesting the biggest government expenditure: the war and military budgets.

Jody how have you been? Good to read that you are fighting the good fight. BTW never forget that you don't have to defend your personal life on these blogs. I saw some ugly attacks aimed at you but you don't have to defend yourself you know who you are and what you have contributed to the betterment of society. And noone can take it away!

Your statement,"they do not represent the direction we want our country to go" is not necesarily born out by the election. The president won by a slim margin and keep in mind every elgible voter did not vote along with the fact that lots of folks still have not or ever registered.

These people represent something very dangerous. They are the seriously disenchanted but they are held together by racism, anti immigrant hysteria, homobobia and to some extent patriarchy. They are a larger segment than folks want to admit and they represent the forces that capital will use against those who will eventually wake up and realize that nothing short of a change of systems will bring about a just and more equitable society. Has anybody noticed how when they are cornered they can never give a clear statement about what they are for. Or they muddle something about going back to the founding fathers who by the way would have dissed them. In fact the first constitution left out folks who didn't own land and women, which would be most of these misguided souls. And of course blacks weren't even whole human beings according to the document.

They are in other words the beginning of a real fascist movement that big business will exploit to squeeze more and more out of regular folks.

At some point it will become clear that something more than liberalism will be needed especially as it tries to cut deals and reform a system that's not reformable.

I am with you I want all the things you mentioned:
"job creation, health care reform that includes no pre-existing condition, affordable for ALL, and not being bankrupted for major illnesses. We want the infrastructure of our country shored up (roads, bridges, crumbling schools, etc) and we know all of that costs money. We want an end to the war in Iraq and we don't want to be seen as bullies and emperialists in the world."

However at some point sister you have to realize that we won't getting by it begging for it from the representatives of the ruling class parties either Democrat(including everyones beloved brother Obama) nor Republicans.

I have a co-worker (Black male from philly) who swears the tea-bitters are not being driven by race. He also says some way out things that would make CF worship his feet in unity.

I have another who is an older while female repub. she went off into a rant one day about how "Obama" allowed Bin Laden to make a muck out of the US. I kid you not. We all chalked it up to symptoms of senile, but I think she well knew better. These people are on a mission.

I think that is one great paradox to love America, but hate the government. I guess they forgot that they are the government and can participate in the process. The tea party does understand the country's very well for good or bad, or that the ACLU will depend their right to do very thing they are currently doing and that is to protest.

As silly as we may think the tea party may be, I would not fall asleep on them. I think what we are watching is quite possibly the rise of a third party. How successful this will become, well we will have to wait and see. La audiobooks said it correctly that this party is on a mission.

The more they get air time, the more effective they become in getting out their mission. Their message may be misguided, but they getting out their mission and people will believe it.

The question becomes what do we do get an alternative message out there?

Republicans hated Bill & Hillary Clinton with a passion back in the 90s...and wanted both assassinated at a time...Notice how the Republicans barely bring up the Clinton's anymore...It's because they are no longer a political threat...Now, Obama & Michelle have become political enemy number one for these Tea Freaks...I keep saying to people I'm shocked the man has not been taken out, yet...But it's coming, another year or two of Fox News and Sarah Palin demonizing him will do it...

They know the Black race is backing up Obama at damn near 90% in most polls...That's why they are trying to alienate parts of his base White, Asian & Latino voters...Obama can't win or survive without large numbers of a mixed race support in 2012...Republicans can win a general with large voter turn out among Whites & Latino voting in there favor they have done it before with Bush & Regan...

  28. The majority of whites did not vote for Obama. Although at the bottom line much of the Tea Party base is driven by racial hostility, there are also quite a few who are motivated by class and fear. They shouldn't be underestimated.

Although as is usual on the Right, much of the populist base is being tricked into organizing against their own interests, on the other hand the Tea Party movements do have real populist anger, which right now the Left doesn't. As was pointed out if the Tea Partiers and their Republican allies can change white voting patterns by a small amount, it's not good for the Democrats in 2010 or 2012.

Why do you worry so much about the Tea Party People Filled Negro?

Is this action suggested by Black Enterprise to lower one's taxes a "Tea Party" type movement among Blacks?

    http://withintheblackcommunity.blogspot.com/2010/02/black-people-property-taxes-school.html

Does a Democrat need to MARCH with the "Tea Party People" in order to have THEIR ACTIONS show that they AGREE with them?

WHY don't you and others talk about how the LOSS OF PROPERTY TAX REVENUES will lead to a LOSS IN SCHOOL FUNDING?

Filled Negro and Jody - you all need to "get deeper". STOP fighting against "Tea Party People" because their mass protest is a THREAT TO YOU.

Instead you need to be consistent and make it be known that anything that works to STARVE THE GOVERNMENT OF ITS RESOURCES are a threat to YOUR OWN "All Things Are Possible Through The Progressive Expansion Of Government Thus Sayith The Secular Lord" viewpoint that you have.

FO said that "The original tea party was absolutely a revolt against a corporate take over of people's lives on this continent."

Actually it was a protest against the tax on tea and "No taxation without representation."

We have our representation now, if the tea baggers did not vote in the last election then they will just have to register and vote in the next.

I hope that the high fees for these teabagger gatherings will allow them to get professional signs to wave. It would be nice if they could have them correctly spelled. (I know that we give a pass here in the fields for spelling and grammar, but that is here in the fields and what is typed here will not end up being photographed and televised abroad.)

  31. Shady Grady:

    Your shadiness is showing.

Can I ask you a question?

    * WHY is it that 11% of White voters in Alabama voting for Obama is a sign of RACISM by these voters yet 96% of Black folks voting FOR Obama is a sign that, as Prof Manning Marable says "Black people are the smartest voters in the country as they know who has their best interests in mind"?

It seems to me that the WHITE VOTER is the standard arbiter of the state of conscious progression in America. The Black vote is merely a "special interest group". It is UNDERSTOOD that we vote as a block as do labor unions.
Although at the bottom line much of the Tea Party base is driven by racial hostility,
NO you have NOT established this.
In fact it is so interesting - in the past 8 years of evil Bush we saw all types of marches in which his portrait was mocked in effigy. When it comes to President Obama - the Negro has his own "racial consciousness" vicariously perched through Obama - that any protest sign against Obama is held by a would-be Klan member.

My challenge to YOU, Shady Grady is to articulate the point where YOU BELIEVE that a protest against a WHITE PRESIDENT has tapped into this "HATRED" that is on par with the 'RACIAL HATRED' that you purport to be driving the "Nobama" movement.

Your inability to do so should be taken as a measure of the BLACK INFERIORITY that exists within you and others.

The "White Liberal Snarling Fox" (ie: Janeane Garofalo) has picked up on the use of the RACE CARD as a means of putting the "Nobama" movement on the DEFENSIVE. Instead of having Obama JUSTIFY HIS POLICIES - the person who protests against him must FIRST PROVE that they are not a "RACIST".

Anyone who falls into this trap DESERVES to get what he will receive. When you yield your own worth over to a person who HIMSELF IS A BIGOT - they control the goal posts by which YOU will have to cross in order to score. Unfortunately their goal posts are ON WHEELS.
Although as is usual on the Right, much of the populist base is being tricked into organizing against their own interests
Shady Grady - WHO MORE THAN THE BLACK VOTER IN THE INNER CITY has "voted AGAINST HIS OWN INTERESTS"?

I just recorded the Roland Martin show in which Edu Sec Arnie Duncan talked about the wonderful things HE IS GOING TO DO. At no point did Roland Martin who I now have labeled "The Minority White For The Black Establishment" TAKE HIM BACK HOME TO CHICAGO and HOLD HIM ACCOUNTABLE for the 52.9% graduation rate from the CPS which is 87% Black and Hispanic.

The thing that I don't understand about Progressive-Fundamentalists is that you all believe that you will one day BOIL THE OCEAN as you look past the local failures that have been mounting and instead TAKE OVER THE NATIONAL GOVERNMENT, upon which benefit will FLOW DOWN INTO every nook and cranny where you live.

NOT EVEN the 60 vote Super-Majority Senate, the control over the house and THE BLACK DEMOCRATIC PRESIDENT could stop you from BLAMING YOUR ENEMY for your failures.

Do you think that you have any chance of taking responsibility for the LOCAL places where the GOP has vacated (Detroit, Chicago, etc) when you HAVE arrived at what you struggled for at the NATIONAL level yet STILL ARE BLIND per your fundamentalism?

Lady Cracker, that's what I thought. (We have our representation now) Hey, don't get me wrong, I am all for a good revolution, but maybe CF is right; maybe I am just "hatin" cause I am not down with these revolutionaries.

Still, as some folks such as hennasplace have said; I am not taking them lightly, I can see them growing into a cohesive political force.

"Do you ever use the "run into the ground" analogy to describe what happened LOCALLY in:

    * All but a few parts of Philly
    * Baltimore

[un]constructive one, why do you keep going back to this same tired question? I think I have tried to school you at least...oh i don't know, a hundred or so times about how government REALLY works. These local governments cannot do s%^t wiithout funding from external forces such as the federal government and their states. (BTW, do you know where most of the elected representatives in Harrisburg come from? Yep, very white very republican counties)There are no major corporations, and people cannot just start a business by going into a bank and talking s*&t like you. They need credit, they need start up money, and they need a business plan. See where I am going with this? So please stop with the same old tired argument about pulling yourselves up blah blahh blah. Unless you can lay our specifics you are just talking.

"I hear you, but here's the question. If most American's are so desirous of the things you've listed, what's the hold up?"

Fabin, that might be the question of the day.

What they forget is that our GDP is piss poor and that the boomers will be the largest retired population ever, Their productivity will retire with them. Even without SS, these tea baggers grandchildren will have to pay more in taxes to pay down the debt.

This guy and YOU have one thing in common. You both want to MINIMIZE the focus on the ASSAILANT that you are attempting to DEFEND. Instead you want to talk about the "general good" of the rest of the White community - in his case.

THE INDICTMENT against him is that he failed to note how SILENT his community has been on the issue.

The indictment against YOU is that you say little about the attempted fusion of those who push the imagery of Street Piracy by getting them to help the Black Establishment get people to vote for the Democrats.

Might be because blacks have always given our votes to white people since we've had that privilege.

Sometimes voting for whites who run against black candidates.

Though honestly, I always thought it would be the black folks who coalesced into a third party, maybe in league with the Latinos.

But, the Dems still have them by the nose.

  51. CF,
I don't see what the talented 10th have to with your previous statement of what I said. If the civil right movement had waited on the right attitudes it would not have went forward. The adult Negroes who lived where there weren't burning of crosses or a really depressed area, didn't like the sit ins or marches. They were of the mind set; lets negotiate. Quite often they had the vote and didn't want to jeopardize that standing or positions in the city. both among the Blacks and whites. Why do you think there were so many youth in the movement? In many cities the sit ins were only conducted by high school students as young as 13.

If you think you have to wait until every mindset is attuned with what you think needs to be in order to move forward; nothing will ever get done.

Even with that fatherless child, his mother is still there. Work with her, and don't disdain her situation, the child will pick up on that and that will invalidate your message. It wont be someone coming behind you.

Getting fathers involved, even when they are present is difficult. Ask anyone who has led a Scout troop?

Quite often when parents work so hard they see any event for children as a time to get relief from parenting.

  53. CF, you are evidently an idiot. This is why I rarely respond to anything you say because you have only one note. Others can do that from now on.

Let me type this VERY slowly so that even you can understand. When, over a period of time, a group of angry white people have rallies in which they wave Confederate flags, and bring signs or banners depicting the black President as a pimp, a witchdoctor with a bone in his nose, claim that Obama supports white slavery, argue that taxpayers are Jews for Obama's ovens, claim that Obama is sucking Saudi...jewels, or that the taxpayers are being treated like n******s, yes it is reasonable based on that evidence to deduct that some of these people don't like Black people very much. When every week finds a different Republican elected official, supporter or media figure comparing Michelle Obama to an ape, claiming that the US is now under minority rule, sending out emails about watermelon patches at the White House, again a neutral observer will conclude that there is some racial animus there.

That's not challenging logic for most people.

That does not mean that EVERY last single member of the Republican Party or participant in the tea party is a racist. That's NOT what I wrote. Grow up and learn how to respond to what people actually write instead of shoehorning your same tin eared rant into every single topic.

And also obviously you haven't read ANYTHING I've written on Black education or black politics. Here's a clue. I don't pull any punches about responsibility for current school dysfunctions as you would know if you actually read what I wrote instead of ASSuming.

Stop setting up straw-men which you insert into EVERY LAST SINGLE TOPIC and learn how to address what the topic of the day is and what people actually wrote on it. You might find that people would actually address your issues and concerns if you could refrain from your immediate descent into insults and wrong assumptions.

Or maybe you're just one of those odd people that actually likes to throw insults around. Well good luck with that. Field could have a post about how blue the sky looked today and you'd come back with some lame junk about black inferiority. Give it a rest.

    more on the friday event....

Judson Phillips is a Tennessee lawyer, specializing in personal injury lawsuits, drunk-driving cases and men who get into trouble beating their wives. It was his idea to incorporate Tea Party Nation as a money-making venture and charge $349 to hear Sarah Palin talk about what’s wrong with America over steak and lobster this weekend in Nashville.

Andrew Young is a North Carolina lawyer, specializing in John Edwards. The deceptions. The baby born to the mistress. It was his job to make sure the Diet Sprite never ran low. And when Edwards suggested that Young co-habitate with the senator’s mistress, to further an outrageous lie, Young set up the guest room and explained to his family that they now had new members.

If there’s money to be made hitching your wagon to a politician trading in populism, well, who can fault these fine men for seizing the opportunity. They must know, the check is more reliable than the politician.

As usual, you take one statement and start a non-tangential tirade. Look, I'm training for a marathon for AIDS fundraising. Half my team is gay. I was part of the gay/straight alliance in HS. But, like CF, please investigate before you speak.

And yes, talking about oral sex in public (which what the term means) is rather lewd, regardless of orientation, in the US. And for a homophobic group of nuts like the teabaggers (yes they are racist & homophobes) to use a term that even would make my foulmouth running partner blush is, well, hilarious.

And honestly, how you can say that a group that have displayed the President and first lady as Jihadists, Apes, Pimps and Witch Doctors aren't racist?

Do you follow the mantra of 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend'? The problem with the Tea Party movement is that its a reactionary, right wing response to some legitimate grievances created by reactionary, right wing ideas. Its like trying to get over a crack addiction by doing lines of coke or smoking heroin.

Honestly, we both support the idea of banking regulations being strengthen (as much as you hate Obama, Alicia, its not a bad idea). Even a neo-con like the Italian PM thinks this is a good idea. The Tea Baggers response? It's communism!!! These guys argue against rather conservative ideas (cap & trade) because a)its not conservative enough and b) the Negro's doing it.

I challenge you to find an aerial picture of a single one of the Tea Parties and find an abundance of Confederate flags.

Worse - I challenge you to explain WHY on the same weekend that the biggest Tea Party which was in DC - during the same weekend as the BLACK FAMILY REUNION that the ONLY Black people to get MURDERED in Metro-DC/Baltimore was the victims of a shootout in Baltimore.

Those who are SERIOUS ABOUT A FIX rather than promoting their IDEOLOGY AND PARTY will have a model who's THREAT MATRIX is proportional to the THREAT that a particular entity has upon their interests.

I am a self-proclaimed "Black Conservative". I am inclined to demand that the "radical/revolutionary" spirit that many of you all chant about be turned into a program of action that becomes THE ESTABLISHMENT which also stands ACCOUNTABLE for the results. You all like the "Permanent Chase" where your retention of the "Moral High Ground" keeps the "blood off of your hands" as THE BEAST puts the meat that it has gathered for you directly into your mouth - no need for you to even allow it to touch your hands.

AB is an "Unattached Progressive". She is not bound to the Democratic Party and its SUCCESS.

MOST OF YOU believe that it is the progressive's duty to DEFEND OBAMA. This is where you are wrong. I am inclined to have far more respect for AB for standing her grounds on her principles while many of you all make note that an ESTABLISHMENT DEMOCRAT is in office and your duty is to DEFEND him and push him to the left.

UptownSteve is a DEMOCRAT and a BLACK ESTABLISHMENT defender. He believes that it is his duty as a Black man to PROTECT the establishment that TOLD HIM that they would save Black people by PROGRESSIVELY taking over the key Political Institutions. When he runs across people like ME and AB who are attacking this ESTABLISHMENT - WhiteBowieSteve believes that he is being "Black Conscious" when in truth he is merely defending the establishment against the INDEFENSIBLE. Black Sense - I am one step ahead of you on that one. In all seriousness I have to give mad props to UptownSteve. His debate tricks for the last 2 years have allowed me to understand the PATTERNS of argument that many "Democrats who are Black" use to cover their tracks. (I am serious with my hat tip to Steve - and others).

You see Black Sense - it is a mistake to try and assess Black people by how the prevailing majority choose to VOTE. In doing so one is bound to hear "lesser of two evil", "do you think that we are stupid", "what has the evil GOP done to attract our vote".

    WRONG ANSWER Black Sense.

Instead there is a need for a FIXED REFERENCE by which to evaluate BLACK PEOPLE'S focus and/or how we have been USED by the embedded "Democrats who are Black" who sneak into our SECRET PLACES via their skin color yet work mostly on behalf of another.

For me, Black Sense - I have listened to people of various agendas, ideologies and consciousness and have distilled the key points that can legitimately be called our PERMANENT INTERESTS:

    1) Safe Communities
    2) Quality Education
    3) Thriving Local Economies
    4) Healthy Lifestyle Outcomes & Relationship

Black Sense we should then EVALUATE THE ACTIVISM OF BLACK PEOPLE based on the ADVANCEMENT of these 4 points. IN THEORY - the more the FAVORED PEOPLE take over the key institutions that provide us our CIVIC SERVICES - the better things should be. I recall as a 4th grader hearing the message "we need people over our schools that CARE ABOUT OUR CHILDREN AND HAVE OUR OWN BEST INTERESTS IN MIND". This was Philly more than 30 years ago. Guess what Black Sense - Filled Negro will tell you - THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF PHILADELPHIA 2010 has reached this point - AT LEAST ON PAPER!!!!

Now let's take a DISPASSIONATE analysis of IF what was advocated for and achieved has ACTUALLY advanced the cause of QUALITY EDUCATION. Not even Filled Negro having drank a half quart of the finest Jamaican Rum would dare claim this is the case.

My frustration with the BLACK ESTABLISHMENT is that this FAILURE has NOT triggered EXPULSION of those who FAILED. Instead they REDOUBLE THEIR EFFORTS. They (like Ernesto) seek to go and find where the evil conservatives who have exited Philly and other places have gone and his goal is to get THEM to express OUR COMMUNITY'S "SOCIAL JUSTICE RIGHTS", taping into some notion that our common citizenship makes them OWN US their private property.

It seems ironic that some people can't manage to see the absolute need for a community to be clear about their own STANDARD OF LIVING they desire and to FIELD A "HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM" by which those people within who will be the key CONSUMERS of this raised standard must also be the PRIMARY VEHICLE by which these standards are implemented.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Thus Black Sense - I don't care if you struggler harder in 2012 and get 99.999% of Black People to vote for Obama or he slips down to 95%. BARACK OBAMA IS NOT EQUIVALENT TO THE "STATE OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY".

It is clear that there needs to be a new term "Sold Out To Obama" - where Black people place their need to PROTECT OBAMA above their need to PROTECT THEIR OWN PERMANENT INTERESTS. There has NEVER been a president that has fully embellished the interests of a group of people. In fact anyone who thinks that one can, does not have a president in the "American Political Domain" they have a fantasy.

Many of you fail to see the need for a system of MANAGEMENT of the ESTABLISHMENT that you have erected. Instead the REPUBLICAN WINDMILL that you constantly fight if the entirety of your calling. Even when you get a 60 vote super majority in the Senate and control over the other elements few people will note the "You Made It" City Limits sign that you have passed. This is the point where you should be expecting the PAY OFF rather than the continuing basic struggle.

It is very possible that your entire agenda that you were sold IS THE PROBLEM as it is never going to satisfy you because you ultimately want SOMEONE ELSE who you have no control over to satisfy you.

So I must ask you Black Sense - IN YOUR OPINION - with the FAVORABLE PEOPLE in control over the institutions in the LOCAL areas that Black people are concentrated and scaling through the states and now Federal Government control - DO YOU EXPECT that more should be operating favorably per what was promised to you?

OR did George Bush DESTROY what is going to take this top to bottom Progressive Establishment at least 4 election cycles with them in total control to fix - with YOU being a strong agent supporting them but NOT ASKING THEM QUESTIONS?

Have you heard of too big to fail? Well, I guess not. Although Teabaggers are focusing their attention on the government, the government is only part of the problem.

What they should be decrying is this nation's corpocracy, corporations that have this nation by the balls, and are squeezing hard, and will squeeze harder now that the Supremes have given them a much needed vise with which to make us all cry uncle, and not just Uncle Sam.

Uncle Sam won't be able to help us. At least not right away, if at all, and perhaps only in a limited way. A nice rant, but it misses the mark, just as the Teabaggers are missing the mark, and, from all indications, missing on purpose.

Sorry Black Sense - I forgot to address this one.

The TWO CHOICES that you have identified are ONLY a binary choice in the context of the "AMERICAN POLITICAL DOMAIN" where the Democrats and the Republicans reside.

The real BINARY CHOICE is between the "American Political Domain" and the "Community Cultural Consciousness and Competence Domain".

Black Sense - when you place your racial and community development hopes upon the POLITICAL DOMAIN - you have already made the wrong step. In doing so you will shift from justifiably struggling for the protection of your RIGHTS against those who oppress you over to struggling for someone else to insure your living standard.

In the Cultural domain - you ORGANICALLY erect the system among your people by which THEIR COLLECTIVE EFFORTS as they interact with each other is the key means by which this living standard is achieved AND the people develop their competencies to be the primary service providers to maintain this standard.

Its your choice Black Sense and there are clear consequences for pursuing each course.

Which of these strategies, Black Sense, can be pruned and grafted into a different land which your people move to with the goal of "rinsing and repeating" what they have been culturally attuned to? If THEY must be the government in this new place - they are SCREWED because THEY ARE NOW THE AUTHORITY that they once protested against. (Kinda like Detroit right now)
