A sight for white eyes.

"Pimp Juice" energy drink? WTF? My people, you have got to stop doing ignorant s&^%. h/t Greg Fuller.

Although maybe, just maybe, it's because you Negroes like to do ignorant s^%$ from time to time that white folks- who are joining Glenn in D.C. this weekend- have put out warnings about avoiding you people. Yes sir, if you want to stay in that WSZ it is essential that you follow instructions and stay away from those crazy "Pimp Juice" drinking Negroes.

Still, you have got to admit; the irony is thicker than a southern biscuit: Marching on the day of a famous black man's speech to bring racial unity here in A-merry-ca, yet trying your best to avoid areas where said black folks might be found. Nice. No wonder some of you Negroes are pissed. (Well, not all of you.) A bunch of these white folks are coming to "Chocolate City" to parade in your back yard and yet they don't even want to be around you. That is not cool wingnuts, that is just not cool. And then you have the nerve to be cocky about it:

…whites “do not own” the legacy of Abraham Lincoln and, by this logic, “blacks don’t own Martin Luther King,”

The day a bunch of black folks go marching on D.C. to commemorate the "Gettysburg Address" I hope someone lets me know, because that s&^#will be seriously historic.

"If you are on the subway stay on the Red line between Union Station and Shady Grove, Maryland. If you are on the Blue or Orange line do not go past Eastern Market (Capitol Hill) toward the Potomac Avenue stop and beyond; stay in NW DC and points in Virginia. Do not use the Green line or the Yellow line. These rules are even more important at night. There is of course nothing wrong with many other areas; but you don't know where you are, so you should not explore them..."

And, don't forget; if you see someone holding a "Pimp Juice" can in his hand, walk the other way as fast as possible.

  4. See now this wants me to go to DC, grab a sign with some stupid "Beckism" on it, and make my way down to where the rally is being held. I will perfectly blend in with the crowd, with one exception.... the post for my sign will be a nice, heavy two by four.... I will let you all imagine what I will use it for!!! LOL

Ah come on, try to understand people. I would think that you know how afraid Beck's people are of Blacks. Hell, I am Black and I am scared to death of street pirates who shoot Blacks at will.

It's better to be safe than sorry, is my motto. If that's what they need to do to feel safer, then so be it. It doesn't bother me at all.

What bothers me are HNs supporting racist Muslims. Now that is very bothersome.

  18. As Glenn Beck call for respect of 9-11 victims (many of which were Muslims) by pointing out the insensitivity of Muslims dead set on building a ground-zero mosque, he, in turn, indulges in a bit of "insensitivity" towards blacks (actually a lot), by using the occasion of Dr. King's signature speech, "I Have A Dream," to make a point, that in the making, is shown to be pointless: "blacks don't own Martin Luther King."

There's much that blacks don't own, but what little we do call our own, those like Beck would take away, unfortunately with the assistance of some blacks, all for some dubious political motive.

But, I must remind Beck and all:

King didn't march for blacks, as much as he marched against white oppression.

King didn't speak to blacks, as much as he spoke against white injustice.

King didn't speak for black freedom, as much as he spoke against those gathering forces that withheld those freedoms.

And I believe that Dr. King would stand with those who wish to build an Islamic Community Center near ground zero, not because he would see it as his duty, not as a matter of conscience, and not because of a desire to see Muslims' Constitutionally-protected rights preserved, but because he had a dream, a dream of universal brotherhood, and universal freedom, which would include, I'm certain, all men and women, including Muslims.

King saw bigotry as the Great Enslaver of men, regardless of its target, and that freedom's ring would be hollow as long as bigotry was allowed to thrive anywhere, and against any people.

King concludes his "I Have A Dream" speech this way:

And when this happens, when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual:

Free at last! Free at last!

Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!

  19. Glen Beck and his lemmings are doing this to make a mockery of our history. Oh, so now we allegedly don't own MLK, are they going to release George Washington's DNA to prove his paternity of his slave Venus' descendants? No? That's right, inclusion of all Americans in American history or multiculturalism only applies when it's convenient for Beck and his ilk. I don't forget that Beck is a Mormon who, I'm willing to bet, still believes that we are Satan's representative on earth. Oh yeah, 1978 revelation should cover him.

As for the mosque. Equal rights and fair application of the law must apply to everyone. The Mosque members have a right to build it, whether I like it or not. (I don't, btw.) I'll pass however on jumping into the protests on behalf of either party. Both groups look down on most black people either way you slice it. Come to think of it, largely because of the struggles and efforts of MLK and black people, they CAN build the mosque and get equal justice under the law. I'll place my priorities where I'm wanted and appreciated...at home in the black community. We have enough problems that will take at least two generations to turn around. If the members can afford a multi million dollar mosque, they can afford to fight the legal and pr battle. We need to get our kids better school books and cleaner neighborhoods.

    Let em' come.

    Fuck em.

You are witnessing the gasps of a dying animal. They don't want to believe it, but Glenn Beck is not George Washington and Rush Limbaugh ain't John Adams. The Tea Party is simply a march of the weak and impotent, being led by the fickle and stupid.

America is becoming more culturally, religiously, and ethnically diverse, not less so. They are the ones who have to evolve, this time. I thought that's what Americans did. Except those who think that they are the only 'true murkuns' and every one else has to defer to them.

    Not this time motherfuckers.

Take a good look at the teabaggers. A really good look at them. There are no ideas there, no reasonable discussion, just at the very heart of them, a bunch of scared old (mostly white) people who feel the finality of their years and the waning of their collective power.

If they had to put out a teabagger PSA telling them to avoiding areas of town where black people live, can they really "take their country back"? They can't even leave their own "green zone" without thinking that one of them might get shot or one of their daughters might go back to flyover country with new appreciation of black guys and D.C. house music.

These people are, for the most part, the same 15 to 20 percent of the country that thinks Obama is Muslim and was born in Africa, think that gays should be put to death or some dumb shit like that, think that America was just fine before blacks got their rights, and think that every brown person who's not black is a Mexican or an "Arab", the same 15 percent that Obama is trying (I do not know why. they will always hate him.) to reach out to. He will never get their approval, even on things that will benefit them ultimately. I wonder how many of those teabaggers got a new house with that $8000 tax credit, or got their unemployment extended, or got more of a tax refund, or got a job at the Savannah Site or other stimulus related employment due to the socialism incarnate that lies at the heart of Obama's agenda? How many rednecks in flyover country had their job at the fire department, or at the school saved because of that man whom they call a nigger behind closed doors? How many of them, deep inside, feel more shame that a black guy did what they could not do for themselves, through no fault of their own, that they feel gratitude that he did it to make their lives better.

Why can't they say thank you for trying?

    Fuck them. Truly.

I simply can not concede that this group of racists and SSI recipients represent a sea change in American political discourse. If that were so, why have 10 of 13 of Sarah Palin's endorsed candidates LOST? Why is there no real opposition against Barack Obama for 2012? Why is it that even with near complete media saturation concerning fake outrages like Obama's religion, his vacations, his birth certificate, His so-called failure to win in Afghanistan (we weren't going to win anyway, no one has ever won there), as well as the sheer sore loseritis that some people have about seeing a half-black guy in the people's house not working in a service capacity.

The tea party is the macarena. Or maybe a more apt comparison is Vanilla Ice. They are both white and lame.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well Field, you know how black people are notoriously late, right? Wouldn't it be cool if a couple 500,000 of our cousins showed up to greet Beck and crew thinking it was the Obama inauguration, complete with coolers of "Pimp Juice"....?

When literally half of the people at a teabagger rally don't know about advice and consent, or that the use of czars in American politics goes back to Reagan, or that you think the that the president was born in Nairobi, Kenya, You forfeit all ability to have a reasonable political discussion.

You don't argue with stupid people.

Better yet, sit down with that dumb shit, Or even better, name how the tea party would reduce the deficit, or bring back jobs to this country, or end our dependence on foreign oil without your whole argument degrading into hating the placement of a Islamic community center or making Hispanics in Arizona prove their citizenship by making them sing the "The star-spangled banner" in high C, while standing on one leg and and making them draw a picture of George Washington to prove they know what he looks like.

Because that is the state of the conservative movement right now. All of the teabag candidates lost tonight except Rubio in Florida.

Why not "discredit" the "irrelevant" before someone like you begin to think that they are.

    Got it?

In your case, we may be too late.

"All you do is mindlessly repeat the cartoonish characterizations promulgated by the establishment that is opposed to this movement."

What "characterizations"? What "establishment"? What "movement"?

We have a bunch of white folk, only now coming to the fore, who, only now, think that the government is overreaching in its spending, but also think that warfare is just fine, and won't cut the military budget to balance the budget, but are supportive of cutting entitlements, and extending tax cuts to this nation's wealthiest, which by the way, Republicans enacted after squandering a multi-billion dollar surplus, starting two wars that weren't paid for, except by borrowing from China, and the Arabs, and starting us on this long road into an economic desert of foreclosures and bank bailouts.

What's not to like about Tea Party folk?

"You absolutely refuse to consider the possibility that there is shred of credibility to these protests, or that these people might even have the capacity to have legitimate concerns to express."

They had eight years of George W. Bush to protest that the government was living beyond its means. What did these Tea Party types do? Nothing. Zilch. Nada.

"You ascribe all sorts of vile and petty racist motives to a huge segment of the population even though you possess no real evidence and despite the repeated denials of any such sentiments by hundreds of tea party members."

There's nothing "petty" abut "racist motives," except to another racist. Where do you stand? How do Tea Partiers deny that they're racist with so much racist paraphernalia for sell, so many racist placards among Tea Party folk, at their rallies.

If you can't see it, or refuse to see it, don't blame us for seeing that which you say doesn't exist, so that you can post here about the color blindness of Tea Partiers, and their pure American-loving intentions.

"Who is the one wishing to deny people the right of expression based on their race? Project much?."

Race you say. Get with the discussion. For the last two blogs or more, we have been discussing Freedom of Religion, and whether Muslims have a right to build near ground zero, without anti-freedom-loving, anti-constitution-supporting, patriotic Americans standing in their way with one protest after the other.

I see you lost another argument. You can't reply without attacking her methodology, which by the way is impeccable.

Sorry, dude, I can't say the same for you.

And speaking of "conditioned to fear," you're on a mostly liberal blog attacking our perception of Tea Partiers, with your superior perception, and your response is to tell us we're "conditioned to fear."

It takes a scared person, one not too sure of his/her own position, to seek out others with a different viewpoint (notice, we didn't seek you out), and to beat them over the head with their own.

"You are a good little sock puppet, TSC, but not so good at rational argument."

I wouldn't become too enamored of your own polemic skills, dude; you're coming up short in this department, too.

I thought she was more rational than you. Instead of refuting her argument (which you couldn't, of course--too rational), you attacked her debate skills.

"The mediacrats groundlessly label their political opposition as racist, and you dutifully recite the slander."

I don't want to disappoint you. I think they're racist, and you're racist. Was that "dutifully" enough for you?

"Maybe if you got out a little more, you'd see how ridiculous your views are. Maybe not."

Still no argument to counter her views, just your unfounded opinion that they're "ridiculous."

Granny, that Constitution is a big disappointment for some, now that it's applied to more people. Note! I didn't say all. There're still some who haven't had their day in court, such as proponents of same-sex marriage.

But it won't be long in coming, and we'll get to see if the newly-constructed Supreme Court will make a difference, because the "equal protection" clause has been foundationed sufficiently to keep the Supremes honest.

If they attempt to circumnavigate it, then we'll know it's an activist court, rather than one that interprets the Constitution's intent, and honors precedence.

How did this document, designed initially to keep so many people disenfranchised, blacks and women, turn on them, now when they need it most?

It's not that anyone needs to take the teapartiers seriously. It's not a movement grounded in seriousness.

These are people so detached from reality, so far from the mainstream, that they take junk science and pass it off as research, take baseless innuendo and try to make it fact.

"Orly Taitz has a copy of Obama's REAL birth certificate!"

In the political arena, the TP'ers are like the cousin who says he's going to college for the 20th time or that he's finally getting off dope. You never really believe it, you just nod your head in fake agreement and approval.

And the seeming comparison that the blacks who support Obama have to be racist if the teabaggers are is utter bullshit. It speaks more to the fundamental difference between organizations that promote people of color versus entities that try to denigrate people of color, either overtly or covertly. The NAACP, the SCLC, the SPLC or anyone of the myriad of other organizations that serve blacks or other minorities have at their heart a peaceful mission statement; that of empowerment, not empowerment at the expense of other races or sexes, not playing a racist zero-sum game that if a black person benefits, a white person loses; or that the problems facing this country can never ever be traced to this country's maltreatment, to this day, of anyone who does not posses the correct linages that are deemed truly American.

The fact that the TP'ers have never let their feelings be known about TARP when Bush signed it into law, Or the 2001 tax cuts, which did not have corresponding spending freezes or cuts to offset them, or the intrusion on federal law into local matters, like the Terri Schiavo case, leaves me, as well as other observers, wondering, why now? Why the caring about deficits? Why only now is health care a liberty-killing force? Medicare D was a bigger boondoggle that this, yet the teabaggers where silent.

It's this. It's that the very people that claim to not see color, that say that racial preferences go against the fabric of the Constitution do not like or enjoy having that simple proposition put into practice. It's okay if the taxes get cut, or the deficit expands when a white president, and a majority white congress who votes the way I do does it. They wear flag pins. They feel the perverted solidarity that leads you to believe that whatever he does, he will have the best interest at heart of people LIKE ME. People that think like me, attend the same churches that I attend, and understands people like me. He doesn't have to prove it, of course.

He's a real guy because he clears brush on his ranch, just like all men who work for a living. I know he's not cutting my taxes, but hell, I'll let that slide.

It's amazing how the simple act of electing someone different can cause people to fundamentally change the way they see their fellow man. A lot of whites had to practice what they have always preached with regards to their feeling about other races, religions and cultures. I think a lot of was buried in the notion that America really wouldn't elect a black man, or a woman as president. Now that's happened, A lot of conservatives are expecting blacks to exact revenge, and egged on the right-wing punditocracy, that's what they think. Anything Barack Obama does will be looked on with suspicion, sadly because that's how most of them think about Blacks in general.

You don't believe me? Than answer this. Why can Albert Haynesworth come to training camp and not pass conditioning tests, yet Brett Favre can keep a team in limbo with nary an ill word said? Because the consensus is that black players should be humble and work because they are all mostly lazy anyway, while Favre has earned the right to not play until he's ready.

But I digress. How many manufactured stories made to be passed of as real news can there be?

    The New Black Panther party?

    Michelle Obama's trip to Spain?

    Shirley Sherrod?

    Van Jones?

    ACORN?

And the wingnuts may or may know that most of this is bullshit, but it doesn't matter. They'll do anything to get their equilibrium back. And by equilibrium, I mean getting Barack and Michelle Obama's black asses out of that White House.

And getting a white man back in it. Like it is supposed to be.

    "The party's almost over."

How prophetic! It wasn't meant to be, I know, but that's the effect.

The Tea Party has run out of tea, and the water in the kettle has turned to steam.

Those tea cups you bought hoping to sip tea from, they can still be used as coffee cups. You're going to need a strong jolt of caffeinated reality about now, as voters continue to reject your tea, for the watered-down, lukewarm, colored water they've grown accustomed to, although they call it tea--a synthetic version of the stuff.

Or even better, name how the tea party would reduce the deficit, or bring back jobs to this country, or end our dependence on foreign oil...

Reduce deficit? Create jobs? Foreign oil?

Easy. Permit oil & gas companies to drill for oil anywhere it's found on US soil or off US shores. Oilfield jobs are high-paying jobs that go to Americans.

If oil companies are permitted to drill in ANWR, all of the Gulf of Mexico, off the East Coast and the West Coast and in all the oil & gas bearing regions in the 48 states, we will see lower oil prices too.

Next. Drop the absurb mileage standards for car-makers. If buyers want Hummers and Cadillac Escalades, give them what they want. If car-buyers want cars that get 40 miles per gallon, give them what they want. That's the way to increase sales of American-made cars.

Here's what they don't want: electric cars that go 40 miles on a charge and cost 41,000.

Next. Permit the Nuclear Power industry to get back in business. France uses nuclear power to generate 80% of its electricity. The US gets about 10% from nuclear.

Eliminate the Mortgage Interest Deduction. It's a pointless give-away to homeowners that artificially increases housing prices.

Next. End most farm price supports. They are gifts to Archer Daniels Midland and other large agricultural companies that can prosper without them.

First, Ground Zero is a real place as well as a conceptual place. As a memorial it commemorates the loss of everyone who was murdered by the 19 muslims killers on 9/11.

With respect to my comment of counting the 19 muslim murderers among the muslim victims, the fact of there being three murder sites is irrelevant.

Meanwhile, my office had been on the 47th floor of Tower One, the first tower hit on 9/11.

In other words, those muslim murderers and their supporters murdered a number of my friends and colleagues.

    ReplyDelete
  62. hathor,

With regard to your list of 9/11 victims -- the one muslim victim who worked at the Windows on the World restaurant was probably serving a friend of mine who was at a meeting in the restaurant that morning.

You can check his name on the list -- Scott O'Brien. One of my Brooklyn buddies. He was able to call home and leave a voicemail for his wife before dying in the collapse of the tower.

Then there was Linda Sheehan, who worked at Sandler O'Neill, a firm with which I did a lot of business. Linda and I had worked together for a number of years and stayed in touch.

There are more. But you get the picture.

  68. hathor, you wrote:

Are you trying to tell me their is a difference between your friend and the waiter's life?

Seems like everything goes over your head. The only relevant point about the dead muslim is the fact that muslim murderers will kill anyone. If muslim murderers kill a few muslims while killing non-muslims, that's okay with them.

Meanwhile, with respect to Windows on the World, the restaurant did have some trouble with undocumented workers. Thus, it's possible the dead muslim was illegally here.

After 9/11 the owner of the Windows restaurant attempted to re-open in Times Square. But due to labor troubles, his effort failed.

Are you using your dead friends life to justify your bigotry?

You should read the Koran to see what it says about non-muslims. I proudly count myself among the infidels. You probably see yourself as sympathetic to muslims. But if you were to live in a muslim country, you would learn about their version of Jim Crow laws.

Moreover, I've traveled in muslim nations. It's obvious islam is evidence of mass psychosis.

Was he really a friend or someone's life you stole to make a point here?

Inasmuch as this is the internet and anyone can claim anything, it's no surprise you've challenged my credibility. But the challenge makes no difference. What's true is true. I worked at the World Trade Center. Scott was in my social circle. Linda was also in my orbit, as were a number of other people who died that day.

The things you claim to do are quite contradictory and it seems your jobs changes to back up your supposed knowledge.

    Says you.

If he were your friend you should honor his death by respecting him and his family's privacy.

Privacy? What privacy? Their names are on websites and memorials available to the entire world. Every September 11 the names of all the victims are read on television. The families have not gone into hiding.

I am glad the truth amuses you. That is a much better attitude than getting angry, shrill, or God forbid crying.

Of the two of us, it is you that should be a comedian. Dye your hair blonde and you will get a pass for the non stop, incoherent, historically UNsound dumbness that you insist on sharing with the world around you. You won't be held responsible.

    UTS-

As soon as you and more Black males understand that racist white folks take shots at Black women because they KNOW Black men lack the power, organization, courage, or interest in standing up for Black women, the sooner you will go somewhere and hush. So racists come for the women. Most Black men will only whine and cry foul as it pertains to BLACK MEN. Additionally, racist whites routinely point to the disrespect of Black Women by black males as justification. Kindda like they now do with the use of the n-word. Now as when you were small, when folks REALLY want to offend you, they will talk about your mama. Black Women are the mothers of Black People. Every insult against Black Women is an indirect insult of you, the dominated, weakened Black male. (I have to make it about you for you to hear. LOL! Did you get it THAT time?)

Furthermore, White folks have told Blacks what is "pretty" or "beautiful" and quite a few Black, male and female, fall right into that way of thinking. On a real note, I could not care less what GLENN BECK thinks about ANYONE'S appearance! On a good day he would be MOST unqualified to speak on it with his unattractive overly emotional self.

Sidenote: WHY would black males that can't shut up about all of their "options" automaticly think Black Women are exercising their same options and being with overtly racist White men? Are you and the rest of your kind really that angry with White men that you have decided they are ALL racist? Why does this same logic not apply to White men's daughters and sisters that ya'll can't wait to give all the resources you secure to? Which in turn goes right back to White men securing their power and dominance. Watch as Elin after her TW hell end up with TW's millions and a White man. LOL! UTS, you are peculiar. I decided not to ignore you today. Don't get used to it.

That same junk you are try to sell Black Women you could get busy making those same comments to your brothers. LOL! You would have more of them to talk to about the topic. But that's right, sexist males truly believe other males are free to do as they please. That freedom just does not extend to the women.

    AB-

You said, "men who weak amoral LYING beta males like you sabotage, betray, and destroy..."

Why would detract comments that only display empathy for my fellow man, supporter of Constitutional liberties and a firm belief that logic not fear should dictate decision?

I dare any conservative to point out where I've not been thoughtful, coherent or rational on this blog. I'm a progressive because I'm a compassionate and logical person.

Anonymous coward, it would be great if I simply gave up on trying to change and help my fellow man -- I would betray my intellectual curiosity, Judeo-Christian teachings and the principles of Liberation Theology that I've embraced most of life. I would be a complete void of a person.

AB, I love you sis and I stand in solidarity with you. Goddess to Goddess, your kind words I respect and appreciate greatly. You and La and Anon Inc (minus the cursing abusive one that should be ignored at all costs) MAKE this blog.

AB, reading the links you provide have increased me in knowledge. I appreciate you and pray you will NEVER allow folks to silence you. La, you, too. You BOTH make my day and have me laughing til my sides hurt when you issue the plain talk smack downs to the usual suspects/repeat offenders.

LOL @ dingbat Maria AND uts.

Maria, I wasn't talking to you and neither was Granny when you decided you were ENTITLED to inform us that Black Women were not the only ones dealing with sexism, as if someone needed you to point that OBVIOUS fact out them. So good, take your dingbat self on about your business and when you DO decide to address Anons, particularly me, at least have something relevant to share. It is the least you could do. Otherwise, I will state obvious facts to you as well and you will storm off like the petulant, entitled, dingbat you consistently demonstrate yourself to be. Btw the way, I am not La but I approve of this message. LOL! (Waving goodbye! Toodles! All smiles!)

At NO time have I suggested Black Women seek out White Men exclusively. I HAVE suggested, as AB clarified for the slow ones, that more BW must simply open themselves, after careful vetting, to the possibility of love no matter what color that love comes in.

But uts, you KNOW this. You are just playing the fool with bad jokes as per usual. And much like other wise folks on the planet, joking fools, DON'T get taken seriously by me. As I said before, you and your kind are peculiar. Swearing out your mouth that you LOVE BW when at every turn you have something degrading, debasing, dehumanizing, sexist, and oppressive that you want to promote to all. It is for this reason I refrained from posting links to your damaged, effeminate, weak Negro brethren's sites. I recognize game when it is in my face. I won't help you try to stand on me and other BW. I call it out so other BW will recognize the game as well. And here's the thing, there.is.nothing.you.can.do.about.it. Lol! "Judeo-Christian teachings and the principles of Liberation Theology"

If you understood both, you would realize they are contradictory.

Conservatives give more to charity and volunteer to help the disadvantaged more often than "progressives" whose idea of progress is to force their solutions on everyone else and to pay for it all with other people's money.

Progressive solutions are more about making their holder feel good about himself rather than actually improving the world.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Actually, most 'charitable donations' in America go to building up house of worship, i.e. church. While some of that money goes to the poor, a good chunk goes into some preacher's pocket or to making the pews really comfy. And this is coming from a former church trustee.

When you take out religious charities and donations, the numbers drop significantly.

And if you knew anything about liberation theology or even basic theology, you wouldn't make such an asinine statement.

The coming failure will be the General Motors stock offering. The stock will sell, but as long as the government is strong-arming GM to offer electric cars no one will buy, the company will take another dive.

To revive an economy a government has to consider the mistakes that brought on the trouble. Obama considered the past and decided to DOUBLE DOWN on the mistakes, borrowing more than ever for projects that, so far, have yielded ZERO.

His mortgage program has been a complete, total, incontestable failure.

It's time to let oil companies drill for oil everywhere in the US. That's one way to create jobs.

Clearly a lot of money is donated to religious organizations. Of course the actual amount is probably a lot less than the total that appears on individual tax returns.

Meanwhile, Warren Buffett has donated about $35 billion to the charity run by Bill and Melinda Gates. Gates has kicked in most of his fortune. Between the two big donors, the total is probably $60 billion.

Meanwhile, in every city in the country there are hospital wings named after huge donors. Colleges give the same honor to big donors.

You went to Yale. How much did the S&H Greenstamp Family leave to Yale? How about the Bienecke's? And then there's probably a lot of stealth money from Skull & Bonesmen.

Harvard has so much money in its endowment fund it's theoretically possible for the school to let everyone attend tuition-free.

Meanwhile, every disease except the common cold is the basis of a charity. Thus, in the aggregate, disease charities pull in huge, huge, huge money.

However, when it comes to corrupt charitable fund-raising, it's clear that black organizations are the biggest offenders.

Al Sharpton was so afraid of an audit he had someone start a fire in the National Action Network offices and claim all the records were destroyed.

  110. The fake "recovery" was nice while it lasted, says famous apocalyptic forecaster Gerald Celente, founder of the Trends Research Institute. But now the fun's over, and we're headed for what Celente describes as the "Greatest Depression."

Specifically, the always startling Celente says the country is headed for rising unemployment, poverty, and violent class warfare as the government efforts to keep the economy going begin to fail.

The crux of the problem, Celente argues, is that the middle class has been wiped out. America used to be a land of opportunity for all, where hard-working people could build their own small businesses in their own communities and live prosperous and fulfilling lives. But now a collusion of state and corporate interests that Celente describes as "fascism" have conspired to help only the biggest companies and the richest Americans. This has put a shocking amount of the country's wealth in the hands of a privileged few and left the rest of the country to subsist on chicken-feed wages and low job satisfaction as Wal-Mart "associates" -- or worse.

The answer, Celente says, is to bring back the laws that prevented huge companies from getting so big and powerful, and put some opportunity back in the hands of ordinary people. But doing that is going to take a while. And in the meantime, we're headed for trouble.

I've been wondering about that, too. Not that there's much wrong with dating/marrying outside of your ethnic background. Just remember that there are plenty of dangers that go along with such. Oh, and it kinda makes for awkward get-togethers. Been there, did that.

What I don't like is Black women writing off ALL Black men because most of our fellow men decided that being a pimp/thug/hustler was more their style than being a productive member of the community. They also write off the former thugs who've seen the light and put the thug life behind them, as though Black men are irredemable once they've had a taste of the thug lifestyle. Or been born into it.

And don't take that as though I want Black women to play "Madam Saveanigga". Fuck no, we've had too many women hurt themselves doing that shit. Ladies, you can't "change" men, and you especially can't "change" thugs. Men have to change THEMSELVES.

I also don't like Black women being encouraged to write off Black men, if by well-meaning Black women who've gotten tired of the same old shit, or by other people who have ulterior motives of their own. The Powers That Be™ wouldn't mind seeing Black women leading the charge to slowly but surely "lightening" the Black race. The Italians, Irish and other Europeans had the advantage of looking nearly the same as their WASP counterparts and differences were largely related to location, religion and a few social quirks, which could be put aside easily during that big dip into the melting pot. The color of your skin isn't something you can hide or put aside that quickly, at least not with White folk.

The only "laws" that ever prevented companies from becoming large were economic realities. The "trusts" that Teddy Roosevelt railed about were small potatoes once international trade revved up.

Meanwhile, it was the government that permitted AT&T to monopolize the phone business until 1984. Of course there were a number of non-Bell operating companies around the country. Southern New England Telephone in Connecticut. Rochester Telephone in NY. And loads of small phone companies across the country.

But huge improvements in manufacturing, shipping, trade, finance, technology and transportation created a new world.

You can't have a functioning, knowledge based economy the 21st century without functioning schools. There's not a shred of evidence to support your empty claim. I challenge you to provide even one hint of economic improvement.

his policies point to the right direction -- when you don't regulate major industries, they tend to fall hard.

The housing industry -- specifically housing finance -- has collapsed BECAUSE the government REGULATED Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

You seem totally blind to the damage done when the government intrudes, rather than simply creates a level playing field.

You can't have a stable functioning economy when people can't trust that their pensions won't vanish or are afraid to get sick.

In the handful of cases in which "pensions" vanished, it happened either because a company fund was almost entirely invested in its own stock -- too much concentration is always a mistake.

OR the "pension fund" was nothing more than Unfunded Pension Liabilities appearing on a company's balance sheet. Since I know you cannot read financial statements, especially the very tricky stuff of pension accounting, I know you have no idea how these things work.

But all the bad corporations had government-approved Unfunded Pension Liabilities -- also known as IOUs -- that were promises to pay retiree pensions out of cash derived from current operations.

A 401-K, on the other hand, is an account containing actual cash. Or securities. Your choice. No IOUs.

Thus, if ABC Corporation goes bust, the money in its employees' 401-k program is there. Safe.

You can't have a functioning, knowledge based economy the 21st century without functioning schools.

Yeah. Well, the problem is the students. Not the schools. Schools cannot employ Marine Corps techniques for getting students to perform.

Today, every student is told he's too wonderful for words and everything he does is "amazing." We've got more geniuses than ever. But the geniuses can't write a sentence or solve a problem in trigonometry.

The problems undermining some schools are the fault of the people who are loosely defined as parents and the other factors of life outside of school. There is no school that can reform or control the large number of feral children that pour in.

We as a nation and a planet cannot afford to ignore Global Warming, unless you like food riots and civil wars over drinking water.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Thomas Malthus was spewing that nonsense 200 years ago. We need to drill for more oil in US territory. We need to burn more oil, gas and coal while we restart our nuclear industry. And then, if there's a little extra crap in the air, Congress can mandate better catalytic converters or better scrubbers at combustion sites.

Only believers in magic carpets and anti-gravity machines think we can get more than a tiny fraction of our necessary energy from the wind and sun, sources that create their own environmental disasters.

The wonders of Reorganization through Bankruptcy. Except this was a rigged deal. In a standard Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Reorganization filing, EVERYBODY in the picture takes a haircut. The bankruptcy mantra is Share The Pain.

Then the bankruptcy court and all parties pow-wow, putting all the cards on the table showing exactly what the corporate operations are doing. Then a new balance sheet is constructed.

In the case of GM, the taxpayers were scammed. The pension and healthcare benefits of retirees were shifted to taxpayers along with a lot of other burdens. No haircuts. No pain sharing. ANY bankrupt company suddenly freed from all its major obligations can turn profitable after a deal like that.

The test will come when the company has to return to the credit markets to get the cash it needs to meet its regular bills. At this point GM is enjoying Debtor-in-Possession financing from the government, which has no standards when it comes to giving money to deadbeats. Like Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Anyway, that ridiculous Chevy Volt is about to become the new Edsel. But there's a fair chance GM will say it cannot find good enough batteries for it, and postpone the unveiling till after Obama loses in 2012. Then, it will disappear.

Most charitable monies out of people's pockets go to some religious institution. Take Creflo Dollar and World Vision out of the equation, Americans probably don't give all that much.

Once again, Yalie, I see you learned little in New Haven. The fundraising business is big. But blacks are almost entirely absent because only successful athletes and entertainers have enough to support causes.

I refer to Obama as black ish because THAT is what he is. The fact that his mother IS white pretty much makes his being Black a wrap. I why would it bother me if she is white or not? Wasn't she, too, abandoned and Obama raised by her menfolk? Quite a few White women's babies that are paraded around and presented as the new Black have this fact in common.

I have tried to make it plain, I wish I could send ALL non black women that see the way quite a few black males treat quite a few Black Women and tell themselves, they will somehow have fare better, thank you notes.

I dislike Obama because of his nonstop lying and wack azz policies that folks are too afraid to acknowledge. Most Black folks put a BIG premium on SYMBOLISM rather than SUBSTANCE. IF Obama were a White man...these SAME fools would call it with the quicknes. Btw IMO, the Dems and Repubs are the flip sides of the same coin. NEITHER party gives a flip about Black folks. And I understand why...the violence/death you visit upon each other would give anyone cause to pause. But as men, you all should expend your energy on figuring THAT out. That would be a better use of your time IMO.

    Also try on this fact:

The WOMEN of a nation are the first teachers of the children. And while ya'll are so quick to paint white men as racists while giving passes and resources to their first teachers...it doesn't change this fact. IF Glen Beck were black, folks would try to figure out what was wrong with his MOTHER that he held such backwards views. LOL!

I would be Oprah's MUCH wealthier neighbor if I had a cent for the offspring of black males and non black women that held unmasked, open contempt for black folks. "Black women leading the charge." LOL. You and anyone else talking the nonsense need to stop playing.
