Scary people.

In honor of Halloween, here are some of the scariest people in A-merry-ca. (Not necessarily in order of scariness.)

1. Charles & David Koch: These clowns represent the money behind the teabag movement. They made millions from *shakes and fries, and now they are trying to make sure that they don''t have to share it. (*Correction from that previous post. It is Ray Kroc of McDonald's fame who made money from shakes and fries. His burgers and some of his managers might be scary, but he is not.)

2. Glen Beckkk: I spell his name that way for a reason.

3. Rupert Murdoch: He owns Radio Rwanda. Nuff said.

4. Clarence Thomas: Quite possibly the worst member of the supremes since Roger B. Taney.

5. Wayne LaPierre: The head honcho over at the NRA. Over one million homicides from firearms here in A-merry-ca since 1962. Now that's scary.

6. Erik Prince: This religious fanatic owns the worlds most powerful private army. He helped another religious fanatic, George Bush, prosecute the war in Iraq.

7. The members of the CNP (Council for National Policy): If you don't know who they are you might need to start reading more.

8. Simon Cowell: I am only using him because he has contributed to the dumbing down of our culture with shows like -his- American Idol.

9. Timothy Geithner: The former head CEO and president of the federal reserve bank is now Treasury Secretary of these divided states. I don't know about you, but he scares me.

10. Andrew Breitbart & Matt Drudge: Millions of people read their nefarious slant to the news every day. But as long as they are paid they will keep doing what they do. Here is hoping that Shirley Sherrod takes Andrew Breitbart to the cleaners.

Booo!

    Field,

Rush Limpballs needs to be on the list also. He has called the President every name he can get away with. Roger Ailes is another, on the other side I would add Axelrod, Emanuel, and Gibbs. Because their messaging SUCKS!!!

Field, since you are listing scary people, did Obama cross your mind? What about the Philly cops? Why haven't you listed Street Pirates? every day and night of the year is Halloween with them.

    Also, what about Hathor?

FYI: Timothy Geithner is not scary. He has helped saved America from collapse.

Wesley R, you mispelled Rush's last name...it is R-U-S-H-L-I-M-B-A-U-G-H. Have you no social manners or skills?

  11. Rush Limbaugh certainly didn't show Michael J. Fox or those with Parkinson's any respect.

Hey Field, donkeytale your old blogging mate from My Left Wing says you've stolen his schtick with the kkk thingie. He was just kidding. Though he did have a username Joseph KKK at MLW until he got banned yet again.

He stole Francis Holland's schtick with whiteosphere. He calls it the whiteysphere.

My Left Wing had the chance to become the #1 blog after it turned out Markos Moulitsas is a big admirer of the CIA. Unfortunately, and to use one of the all-time most annoying blog phrases, epic fail.

They unjustly banned Francism and that was the beginning of the end for MLW. I showed up there years later. There was actually a poster named Karmafish who admitted to having followed Holland over to MLW from Daily Kos to give him shite.
Anyway, let's face it. The internet is dead. All that's left are pockets of awareness like this joint.

Oh yeah, for what it's worth, donkeytale thinks you're a fine writer with a good sense of humour. Ok, wait a second. This is a link to a post you made in 2007 titled White Kossacks & Black People. You wrote, "... or as some of my fellow black bloggers would spell it, KKKOS." As a leading member of the leftier than thou club, I will castigate donkeytale for actually having stolen that schtick and not the other way around.

RttnKid, ""I am NOT an African-American, I AM AN AMERICAN" Then he starts singing with white woman for his back up singers."

Now that's an American who has transcended race in America. For him, race is NOT an issue...he doesn't play the 400 year old victim of slavery like Granny and Kid does. Some of our folks on this blog should take note on how to become free, at last.

Hathor, Granny, UTS, Gregory, MackLying, Field, KID, and others take note and become free.

Dear Field, your list isn't so scary. I have seen much scarier ones from around the globe. Thess folks are in Africa. They are taking lives by the millions and they aren't losing one moment of sleep.

They make Hitler look like small fry.

Why don't you have AL-Quaida on your list? don't want to be labelled by your fellow Liberal Progressives as a racist? It must be miserable to be a Black Progressive Liberal Dem.

You can always change your party and outlook to one that is a little more reasonable and more American. It could be very freeing for a bm like you.

  15. For me, The Scariest People Award goes to those folk on the Right (with their failed policies, policies that they'd like to resurrect, if they take over the House and Senate), those folk on the Left who might sit out the election coming up in a couple of days, because of an enthusiasm gap (Whatever in Hades that mean!), and those Supreme Court Justices who recently finished off our democracy, of the people, by the people, for the people, for now, by giving to corporations free-speech rights to spend as much money as they wish to impact legislation, and to seat politicians of their choosing.

What the people of this nation will witness, if we're to take Republicans and John Boehner at their word, is a Republican 'no compromise policy,' a kind of "Republican Revenge," if you will, against the liberal policies, and liberal legislation which Republicans steadfastly resisted, using every obstructionist tactic in their playbook, especially the use of the filibuster in unprecedented numbers.

I say pick your poison: Do you wish to die slowly, by supporting the Left and receive a few palliatives, from time to time, to fix our broken, political and economic system, with the hope that, with time, we can change course, or die quickly, by sitting out the next election, and doing nothing, thereby allowing Republicans and Tea Party folk to call the shots--to repeal health-care reform by not financing it, to reduce the minimum wage, standing at $7.25, to God only knows what, to privatize Social Security, to repeal what little was done to rein in Wall Street abuses, and to embroil this nation in another war?

It's strangely emblematic that Halloween and the next election are only days apart.

The grim, unsmiling, faces that the Republicans have been wearing for the last two years, like so many Halloween masks of Horror Movie characters--Freddie Krueger, Jason, and Pumpkinhead--will appear angelic by comparison, if Republicans carry out their threats to punish the American people, liberals in particular, for having the gall to insist that BP set aside billions to cover losses to Gulf Coast residents, for extending unemployment insurance for those out of work, and for forcing health insurers to actually insure people.

Such liberal policies from the Left, that actually put people first, and corporations last, cannot stand. It's un-American.

All the while, the issue of massive black unemployment hasn’t even been a blip on the administration’s radar screen. Black foreclosures and the wealth gap have been seen as a nuisance to politics as usual. Mass incarceration of African American men hasn’t become anyone’s agenda item. Why in the world should black folks feel inspired to go out and vote?

That’s a bit of what we’re seeing right now from the Obama Administration. The Obama camp has rarely used the words “black man” or “black woman” in public for the last year, yet they are suddenly hanging in the hood more than the barber and the local drug dealer. They are holding forums to rally black voters for the mid-term elections and telling black folks to vote as if Obama were on the ballot

One of the problems that black people have is that we’ve not grown out of the habit of falling in love with our politicians. The problem with loving a politician unconditionally is that politicians are not wired to love you back. When it was time to put a black woman on the Supreme Court, the Obama camp chose the president’s less-than-qualified Harvard crony Elena Kagan instead. When it was time for black unemployment to be addressed, the Obama Administration chose to stay away from the issue altogether. While black men rot away in America’s prisons and black families are being destroyed by mass incarceration, Attorney General Eric Holder only made time to deal with the Arizona immigration issue. A serious problem facing many African Americans today is that there is simply nothing about voting that makes them excited, other than the fact that their president has a black face. We allow images of the Obama family on the cover of Ebony Magazine to control our political decisions, and it might be time for us to grow out of this. Everybody loves the Obamas, but we need the president to have the courage to love us back. As Beyonce says in her famous song, “Say my name,” meaning that the president must grasp the moral fortitude to express shameless love and support for black America in a way that gives us the same dignity as the rest of the American people. He doesn’t have to throw a black fist in the air, but he can’t just reach out for us in the dark, when he needs us and when no one else is looking.

Watch the market take off, business investments skyrocket, and unemployment start to fall as soon as the repubs take congress. If your boy Obama is smart enough, he can take credit for it and get re-elected in 2012, just like Slick Willie did in 1996.

Business knows a republican congress will put the brakes on the most of the nonsense the dems have tried to pull since they took congress in 2006.

Repubs are for lower taxes, lower spending, and less government power. As soon as the dems are thrown out, America will be open for business again.

Uptown's spirited defense of obviously wrong conventional wisdom calls for this excerpt from Steve Sailer's recent H.L. Mencken club speech:

As John Derbyshire noted last night [in a speech on "Men Versus the Man, 100 Years On"], the best depiction of how Political Correctness functions is from the appendix to George Orwell’s 1984:

“Crimestop means the faculty of stopping short, as though by instinct, at the threshold of any dangerous thought. It includes the power of not grasping analogies, of failing to perceive logical errors, of misunderstanding the simplest arguments …, and of being bored or repelled by any train of thought which is capable of leading in a heretical direction. Crimestop, in short, means protective stupidity.”

What Orwell got wrong, though, is that inculcating crimestop doesn’t require an army of men watching you from your TV.

Instead, you watch your TV—and learn from it what kind of thoughts raise your status and what kind lower your status.

It’s a system of Status Climbing through Stupidity.

Every so often, a celebrity is fired to encourage the others: NPR dumped Juan Williams this week for admitting that passengers in Muslim garb on airplanes make him nervous. Earlier this month blowhard Rick Sanchez was sacked by CNN for responding sarcastically to his interviewer’s suggestion that Jews are an oppressed minority in the media. (As one wag commented, Sanchez got fired for the first story he ever got right.)

Here we have many protectors of stupidity helping Field clarify what ideas are proper to raise one's status, of which uptown steve is one of the most persistent.

    http://newsone.com/newsone-original/srobinson/how-democrats-play-politics-with-our-community/

That acknowledged, could you imagine if the black community set the tone for the elections…? And given we are much larger than the Tea Party will ever be, why shouldn’t we?

Instead, every two years, we wait for folks to come knocking on our door and tell us, yet again, that the sky will fall if we don’t get out and save the world from the ghosts, goblins, and scariest of all, the Glenn Becks.

I hate to say this, but I really can’t think of a better analogy. It’s like the black community is an electoral bootie call. They hit us up when they need us, and then we don’t hear from them again until they want something else.

And make no mistake about it, we empower them to do so. You see, the art of playing politics is not folding into one party or another just because you feel they represent the lesser of two evils.

Once we do this, we have no power as a community because the lesser evil knows we’re always going to be there when they call. We’re like a cheap date, happy with going to the fast-food joint down the street when every other constituency is getting filet mignon from the fancy restaurant downtown.

If we truly want to be powerful politically as a community then we cannot keep doing what we are doing, because it’s simply not working. Reacting to the latest threat that comes along every election cycle is not playing politics. Making others react to us is.

The scariest people have to be the folks that mistreat folks and rip off folks in the third world so that the developing world can live fancier lives and then try to convince us that this is somehow right.

These scary folks would include the US ruling class and the other imperialist countries that as someone else pointed out earlier encourage proxy wars in the third world especially the African Congo. And I agree with the person who said that would include many of the US multi-national corporations. Many undermine the rights of those in third world while fully cooperating with despots just to obtain either cheap labor, cheap materials, or cheap oil.

And the scariest idea has to be the one that you could build a fair equitable and just society by building it around the profit motive.

Field, "2. Glen Beckkk: I spell his name that way for a reason."

You are abusing a man's last name, which is ALWAYS sacred. That doesn't make you look good. It sounds like you are full of hate towards him.

Has it ever occurred to yu that u might have misjudged Mr. Beck?

    we agree to disagree

i truly do see hobama as a more brutal blackish clone of gwb

his record proves that to me

as horrid as bush was for 8 yrs...
we all fared better when he was his ofc...thus, his party deserves the party they will host in 24 hrs

there are no winners in the incessant bait and switch of the one elitist party that pretends to be 2....i will never play along again

    by better i mean:

less bloody and less endless wars

    less joblessness and homelessness

8+ million more jobs NOT permanently lost

less banksters buck wild and 23 trillion dollars richer

less openly racist dismissing of all poor black voters/enclaves

    Good point.

The same with health care. It and a profit motive are incompatible concepts.

Speaking of bad folks in the sports dept a nod should go to Big Ben of the Steelers.

Hey has anyone noticed that there are no Sports Illustrated articles demanding that Ben Rothlisberger pay more penance for exposing his privates and attempted rape of a coed. There was one beating up on Vick in September's SI after Vick had two good games.

Why aren't the womens rights groups writing articles and picketing Steeler games?I mean this guy has shown that he has absolutely no respect for women?

If anyone doubts that there is still racism and sexism and at the very least a double standard when it comes to the handling of a white athlete vs a black athlete.

Big Ben gets my nomination as worse athlete, because he treats women and working class folks like crap.

I know he wasn't charged but the evidence is there that the guy is a bad actor. And I think folks should definitely be allowed second chance and a chance at redemption.

But isn't interesting that is only reserved for certain folks in our society.

  77. Now that's an American who has transcended race in America. For him, race is NOT an issue...he doesn't play the 400 year old victim of slavery like Granny and Kid does. Some of our folks on this blog should take note on how to become free, at last.

    Of course.

And I'm sure he won't be reminded of the "African" portion when he leaves the Tea Party movement of his own volition. Or have sex with one or more of those white backup singers. Or decides to question Glenn Beck and other vaunted icons of the Tea Party movement. You know, things that make Blacks seem....."uppity"....towards certain members of the Caucasian-American community.

"Hathor, Granny, UTS, Gregory, MackLying, Field, KID, and others take note and become free."

What's up with the name-dropping anons? You have one on who gets pissy over how Rushbo's name's spelt, but another anon calls me MackLying. One anon demands we respect his ideological icons, but I and others aren't worthy of any respect whatsoever. Funny that.

White QBs have long been considered America's Golden Boys. The only way Ben's gonna have his name tarnished is if someone links him to a dead body or if he's found in bed with a young boy. Meanwhile, it's piss easy to whip on Black players, whether they're QBs or any other position.

I can always tell when you are around. You love to cry about what anons are doing to you while you beat up on them. Nevertheless, you have a 'small' point about anon's fascination with distorting your name. Btw, anon learned that name from CF. I bet you are relieved that CF has taken a hiatus from FN.

  81. Mack, you see how some of these Anons get down with the names? I must speak to their leader. :)

Makaii and anon.you are both right. I don't want to confuse the two. There is Koch and a Kroc of California McDonald's fame. The Koch brothers are the scary ones. I guess I have been pissed at Micky D's of late.

So the anons admit I put it on them? Who knew? And I'm still wondering why the anons cry about Rush and Glen getting their names disrespected while the commentators here are fair game. Mind anwsering that for me, if you can?

CF couldn't take the heat. Apparently, neither could Grinder or Frank. Actually, I'm thinking they're still here as Anons. They're the only people dedicated enough to continue a campaign of misinformation and debasement.

Anon Inc.'s leadership has been ineffectual and rudderless as of late. I say they're still ripe for a hostile takeover. A controlling interest bought by the people who spam the Chinese handbag links should do the trick. Of course the first thing on the agenda will be outsourcing those anon posts. I'm sure it's much cheaper to make those from an internet cafe in Sichuan.

Amazing how genuine grievances from the Black community is called "playing the Race Card". I imagine Black folk got a lot of that when they were protesting segregation.

Equally amazing how the only Blacks who get "respect" from Whites are the ones who keep their grievances to themselves, no matter how urgently they need to be heard.

  89. I've had a foot up Beck's ass for over 7 months now, and if he's a racist, it's pretty damn subtle. Does he race-bait? Often.

A collaborator of mine has been interviewing his high school buddies. If he were racist, it would come out then. He wasn't apparently. I don't want to defend this asshole, but he doesn't seem to be explicitly a racist like Limbaugh is. Either that, or he's smart enough to avoid that tag.

Liar, hypocrite, charlatan and megalomaniac yes; but he just hasn't come across as a racist. Tim Wise has also looked at this.

If you ever see anything from his that strikes you as racist, please keep The Glenn Beck Review in mind. I want to know.
