Of course, as is to be expected, he blamed it all on O, and he charged him with running a dirty campaign which is beneath the dignity of the POTUS. (Funny, he wasn't so worried about the dignity of the office when his peeps were shouting him down while he was addressing the country. Or, for that matter, when Donald Trump and his birther friends were questioning his legitimacy as president.)
Now he wants an apology. I know one thing, the guy certainly has enough you know what to become president. Actually Mitt, it is you who should be apologizing to the American people for telling one lie after the other.
"Mitt Romney disputed reports that he worked for Bain Capital longer than he had publicly suggested, insisting Friday he had no role "whatsoever" in managing the company after February 1999 when he left to run the Winter Olympics. Public filings from the company suggest otherwise.
In consecutive interviews with all five television news networks, Romney accused President Barack Obama and his campaign of attacking him on his record at Bain Capital in order to "deflect attention" from Obama's "failed" economic record. And he called on Obama to apologize for the false attacks.
"There is absolutely no evidence that I had any role whatsoever in the
management of Bain Capital after February 1999," Romney told ABC News' Jon Karl. "Why the president continues and his people continue to make these kinds of charges and try to turn this into something big is clear, I think, to the American people because the president's failed to do the job he was elected to do which was to get this economy turned around."
Asked by Karl about an Obama campaign aide's assertion that he may have committed a "felony" by leaving his name on Securities and Exchange Commission documents if he didn't work at Bain, Romney called the charge "ridiculous and disturbing" and "beneath the dignity of the president and his campaign."
Yes, but DID YOU POSSIBLY COMMIT A FELONY BY LEAVING YOUR NAME ON THE SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISION DOCUMENTS?
"On Thursday, the Boston Globe reported that Romney's name remained on several documents Bain had filed with the SEC, including a 2002 filing that described him as the firm's "sole stockholder, chairman of the board, chief executive officer and president."
Asked why his name remained on documents if he wasn't involved in the company, Romney told ABC that he had "retained ownership" until he and Bain officials could negotiate a departure and retirement package with the company. He told CBS News' Jan Crawford he had the "capacity" to return to Bain if he wanted after the Olympics but chose not to. He told Crawford he didn't "recall even coming back once" for Bain management meetings because he was running the Olympics "full time."
Oh, I see, "retained ownership". ("it depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is.") So that's not the same as working for the company? I guess when you are an owner you don't really "work" for the company; you just kind of get to collect the profits. Nice.
And didn't you and your partners agree that you would come back to the company in a different capacity? Yes, I think you did:
"I opined that it wouldn't make sense for me to come back to the company at the end of my tenture at SLOC as I had following my [1994] campaign." They disagreed and came to a different arrangement" [Source]
Hmmm, and Bain's own press release said that "Myth" Romney (love that name) was a part-time employee back in 1999.
So why, do you ask, would Flipper make such a big deal of working for Bain from 1999 to 2002? Pssst, Field, it's that outsourcing thing. Oh, and this as well.
"(Americans) expected more from this president. He was the one that talked about a post-partisan presidency, changing the way politics works, changing the way Washington works. And I think people assumed he would make it better," Romney said. "But instead, with the kinds of attacks that he's been launching over the last several weeks, he's been making it worse and people recognize that."
Let me translate that for you:
I know that I, along with my surrogates, have spent millions of dollars mercilessly attacking my opponents throughout this elections cycle, but please do not attack me.
This is going to doom his run, and by "this" I mean his inability to remove Bain from around his neck. It's been a problem for him since1994, no need to drop the subject as he has a Herculean task ahead of him.
ReplyDeleteMyth Romney.....which side of his mouth do you want to believe?

If this is all they think they have on Mitt. Good. Obama is done.

Oh Poor Field, you surrogate ObamaBot. This is so sad that even though debunked you and Media Matters have to double down. Becuase you have nothing else.
ReplyDeleteI thought for sure you would talk about how Obama just removed the barriers Clinton put into place to sit home and collect welfare. Ahhh, the foodstamp welfare president. Cloward and Piven in action, destroy the U.S economy and then try and institute socialism.
Problem is he has already run out of other peoples money. He spent over 5 Trillion in 3.5 years.
Makes me wonder what Moonbats could possibly see the future as. As if they will get a piece of the pie of free stuff taken by force from others when the cupboards are bare.
$55 million dollars in profit for getting rid of aborted fetus.... Willard is a liar. He has profited off of outshoring jobs. Disgusting.. He does more lying than Burger King whopper..
ReplyDeleteAmericans generally don't have automatic gripes with ultra-wealthy people. I wish we did but we don't. But having given Mitt an initial pass on being ultra-wealthy; his stiffness, his haircut, his obvious unfamiliarity with real middle class life, his straight-laced Mormon dorkiness, Americans are now curious about what kind of rich guy he is. Does he take responsibility for the actions of his business, Bain? Why is he copping out on two specific years of owning the business? What happened during those years? Is it anything that'll make him look bad? Surely he understands the meaning of "The buck stops here." Has he paid his fair share of taxes? Is he a rich guy with some integrity or is he hiding something? America ought to pay more attention to the rich guys behind Romney; so much wealthier than him that they could buy the man many times over. One of them vows to spend $100 million of a personal fortune if necessary to get Mitt elected. What would be worth spending a hundred-million for if it wouldn't somehow return much more than a hundred-million? That won't be a campaign issue, unfortunately. I'll settle for the dozen mystery years of Romney's unreleased tax returns. Maybe Senator Harry Reid is talking through his butt when he claims Romney paid no taxes during those years. How would he know? But if it's no big deal (unlike Obama's birth certificate), let's see them.
ReplyDeleteOnly a liberal could think success in business is a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteThe idiots in the Obama campaign are painting Romney as competent businessman, just what the country is looking for to fix the economy.
Things will start to go south for Obama in August. By October, he'll be running 10 points behind.
Hasta la vista, commies!
Obama has lied more times than he has worn his moms jeans, ridden his daughters bicycle or thrown a baseball like the dork he is.
ReplyDeleteWhy is his campaign saying they were outraised and Outspent by Obama when it is not true?
Obama’s Deputy Campaign Manager Julianna Smoot makes two claims and both are 100% false, they were outraised and outspent by Romney. The truth is Obama raised by more than Romney by $125 million and outspent him by $44 million.
Damn yuse peeps is crooked. It's all free swipe yo EBT. Gets it while you can it gone be empty soon.
ReplyDeleteCHICAGO -- The Chicago Public School system has removed 12 principals and assistant principals for allegedly falsifying free and reduced lunch forms for their own children, according to a report from the Office of the Inspector General and CPS.
None of the 12 assistant principals or principals have been charged with a crime, but have been removed from their posts pending due process hearings. Their names have been withheld during the hearing process. The program costs about $100 million per year and is meant to provide nutritious meals to needy children.
Oh My. Liberals consistently prove incompetent, they cant even organize a hit piece well enough to see the lies that might get exposed. Yet another Failed attempt by the Obama Campaign goes up in dust.
ReplyDeleteIn response to today's Boston Globe's hit piece, the Washington Post, of all outlets, is pushing back against the Globe story as old news and reveals that, in a 2012 book titled "The Real Romney," former Boston Globe reporters criticized Romney for leaving Bain Capital in 1999:
But now the Boston Globe has raised the issue again. The story seems to hinge on a quote from a former Securities and Exchange Commission member, which would have more credibility if the Globe had disclosed she was a regular contributor to Democrats. (Interestingly, “The Real Romney,” a book on the former Massachusetts governor, by Boston Globe reporters, states clearly that he left Bain when he went to run the Olympics and details the turmoil that ensued when he suddenly quit, nearly breaking up the partnership)
We’re considering whether to once again take a deeper look at this, though it really feels like Groundhog Day again. There appears to be some confusion about how partnerships are structured and managed, or what SEC documents mean. (Just because you are listed as an owner of shares does not mean you have a managerial role.)
but liberals who have no idea how the world works might buy the lie.
Romney is damned if he did, damned if he didn’t.
Romney either quit abruptly in 1999, leaving Bain in turmoil. Or he managed Bain through 2002 and then committed a felony lying about it.
If these Boston Globe types were smarter, they would get together beforehand to make sure they get the lies straight.
This Bain matter will blow up in Obama's face mainly because he has lied on Romney and people really don't care. They want jobs and a better economy!
ReplyDeleteRomney will be the next President. Field, your posts are becoming more and more....you know what. Stop the racial preference and go with the truth, if you can.

PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and in order to establish policies and procedures governing the assertion of executive privilege by incumbent and former Presidents in connection with the release of Presidential records by the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) pursuant to the Presidential Records Act of 1978, it is hereby ordered as follows: Section 1. In a disgusting new low, two criminals steal from tot sitting in his stroller
ReplyDeleteBy JAMIE SCHRAM and DOUGLAS MONTERO
July 14, 2012
Things are getting so rough in the Big Apple that even toddlers are getting mugged.
A cruel thug ripped a $400 gold chain off the neck of a 3-year-old boy who was sitting in his stroller and being pushed by his mom in Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn on Tuesday, law-enforcement sources said.
The crook and an accomplice attacked tot Harvey Hernandez in the lobby of his family’s Malcolm X Boulevard apartment building at 11:45 p.m. after following him, his teenage brother and mom Riyana Guerrero home from a Laundromat.
“I was screaming ‘Let go of my baby! Let go of my baby!’” the mom told The Post in Spanish yesterday.
“[The man] didn’t say anything — he just looked at us and laughed, almost mocking us.
“How could he do this to a helpless little baby!”
Guerrero believes that the thieves might have even kidnapped the boy if neighbors, alerted by her screams, didn’t scare them away.
Well, we know this claim is ridiculous. Blacks don't kidnap kids. But they do kill them, sometimes because they cry, and sometimes to get back at their mothers for having them. But kidnap? Hmmm. Never.
“I just started screaming and fighting with him, trying to get him away from my baby,” Guerrero said of the teenage creep who snatched the necklace.
He and his thug pal had stalked the family back to their home from the laundry, where Guerrero had just finished her weekly wash.
“They were eye-balling them — and the chain,” said one police source.
The duo attacked as the family got inside the lobby of their building, kicking in the door after the desperate mother had locked it.
After neighbors started coming out of their apartments at the sound of the mother’s screams, the crooks fled with the necklace.
The chain was a gift from Harvey’s godparents for his baptism. It has a small medallion on it with the image of hands holding a child.
Guerrero said she’s just happy that she and her children weren’t hurt.
“I didn’t care about the gold; I was just worried about my [kids],” Guerrero said. “It was horrible. I don’t feel safe going out into the street now.”
The mom said her 13-year-old son was “traumatized’’ to the point where he’s afraid to go outside.
“Now, none of us feel safe,’’ she said. “We plan on moving.’’
The chain-snatcher and his pal, believed to both be about 16 or 17, remain at large.
“I just want the police to catch all of them and do what needs to be done,” Guerrero said.

And candidates for President should release ALL of their tax returns. ALL OF THEM!
I see u Flipper.
Romney, has proven, through the success of Bain Capital, that he knows how to restore the financial health of businesses in America.
ReplyDeleteThere's no doubt, however, that some industries can no longer function in the US -- about 99% of all shoes sold in the US are imported.
When it comes to electronics, it's the same story.
Meanwhile, most clothing is made elsewhere.
Long ago the US chose to become a high-VALUE producer -- NOT a low-COST manufacturer.
But most of you clowns can't understand this fact. Obviously it's too much for Obama's naive and uninformed mind.
Thus, by policy and practice, the US companies do not compete with foreign businesses that get by on their dirt-cheap labor costs.
Obama, however, seems to advocate policies that would return American workers to primitive settings.
To increase employment, he'd be first to give laborers a good pick and a new shovel so they can build roads. He'd give millions of workers hand tools instead of supplying heavy construction equipment. That's the Obama way.
field demands:
ReplyDeleteAnd candidates for President should release ALL of their tax returns. ALL OF THEM!
First, with respect to Romney's tax returns, YOU and most of America, wouldn't know what you were looking at if you had Romney's filings in your uninformed hands.
Second, the important aspect of his financial records are found in the public documents of the companies in which Bain invested.
Everyone already knows what they need to know about Romney and his wealth. If there were problems, the IRS would have investigated the companies bought by Bain and the public would therefore know if there had been wrongdoing. Obviously there was no wrongdoing.
Obama, on the other hand, has refused to release his personal records that interest a lot of people -- his SAT and LSAT scores, and his college and law school transcripts.
Of course Obama doesn't want anyone looking at his tax records, mainly because the public would learn that his dealings with Tony Rezko were criminal.
Obama, for a clown who says he opposes "outsourcing of jobs", seems absolutely giddy over keeping jobs in the oil industry out of the US.
ReplyDeleteOilfield jobs could be "insourced" overnight, employing huge numbers of people at high wages and at NO taxpayer expense. Yet our clown-in-chief says NO. Can't drill for oil or gas on any new federal sites.
U are right wingnut, my CPA does my taxes. But I am sure that there are smart people like yourself out there who can figure out what is on Flipper's returns.
ReplyDeleteSo again, why can't we see them?
BTW, I didn't know that it was a crime to have poor grades in America. O's SAT scores? Really?

You can see them anytime you like, unlike Obamas records they are all public.
What you really mean is "Why hasn't the MSM packaged it into something we can hate that really white rich guy for earning with corresponding bullet points."
You know they have seen them, you know they know whats in them. You know Obama and some IRS insiders have seen them, you know the SEC investigated the hell out of Mitt with Obamas cronies backing, why haven't they leaked? Because it's better to convince you that some guy not whipping out his penis is trying to hide something rather than just not showing you his penis.
BTW, I didn't know that it was a crime to have poor grades in America. O's SAT scores? Really?
It must be a crime, so many say low SAT scores are only because of racism and racism is illegal right? I mean it is illegal to treat one race differently than another isn't it? Aren't they looking to eliminate testing because of this? So Low SAT's must therefore be a crime committed by some guy who didn't take the test. Liberal Logic.
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
ReplyDelete-Joseph Goebells.
The man who spends limitless hours with George Clooney and the Hollywood elite claims Mitt Romney is out of touch.
In his first race for office, seeking a state Senate seat on Chicago’s gritty South Side in 1996, Obama effectively used election rules to eliminate his Democratic competition.
As a community organizer, he had helped register thousands of voters. But when it came time to run for office, he employed Chicago rules to invalidate the voting petition signatures of three of his challengers.
The move denied each of them, including incumbent Alice Palmer, a longtime Chicago activist, a place on the ballot. It cleared the way for Obama to run unopposed on the Democratic ticket in a heavily Democrat district.
“That was Chicago politics,” said John Kass, a veteran Chicago Tribune columnist. “Knock out your opposition, challenge their petitions, destroy your enemy, right? It is how Barack Obama destroyed his enemies back in 1996 that conflicts with his message today. He may have gotten his start registering thousands of voters. But in that first race, he made sure voters had just one choice.”
With Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland nodding in agreement behind her, Clinton accused Obama of emulating the tactics of Karl Rove, President Bush’s former political director who is reviled by Democrats.
Obama “is continuing to send false and discredited mailings with information that is not true to the voters of Ohio,” Clinton said. Watch Clinton demand a ‘real campaign’
One mailing says her health care proposal would force everyone to buy health insurance, regardless of ability to pay, a charge Clinton vehemently denied.
“Sen. Obama knows it is not true that my plan forces people to buy insurance even if they can’t afford it,” she said.
Obama’s ad about the alleged Romney outsourcing was awarded the 4 Pinocchio maximum by the Washington Post.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/fact-checker/post/4-pinocchios-for-obamas-newest-anti-romney-ad/2012/06/20/gJQAGux6qV_blog.html
The Obama campaign fails to make its case. On just about every level, this ad is misleading, unfair and untrue, from the use of “corporate raider” to its examples of alleged outsourcing. Simply repeating the same debunked claims won’t make them any more correct.
It was also discredited by FactCheck.org.
http://factcheck.org/2012/06/obamas-outsourcer-overreach/
And thus the Obama campaign has sought to exploit the Bain Capital issue in a variety of ways. Each time, they’ve failed epically:
- When the Obama team first attacked Romney for his time at Bain Capital, Corey Booker and Bill Clinton quickly struck back, reminding Obama that attacking private equity was outrageous;
- When the Obama team, led by DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, attacked Romney for having offshore accounts, the New Media reminded the old media that Wasserman Schultz had offshore accounts of her own, and that Romney has never been accused of illegality in any way, shape, or form;
- When the Obama team attacked Mitt Romney with false charges of outsourcing via an obviously coordinated story in the Washington Post, the New Media immediately debunked the story and forced the media to back down;
Now, the Obama team has tried to pretend that Romney was still running Bain Capital between 1999 and 2002 by deliberately misreading federal filings – and the New Media has debunked them and forced the mainstream media into compliance.
The essence of propaganda consists in winning people over to an idea so sincerely, so vitally, that in the end they succumb to it utterly and can never again escape from it.
- Joseph Goebbels
Facts don’t matter to the Obama regime- only the narrative matters. Obama is going to be sorry his goons used the word “felony.” You can take the guy out of Chicago but you can’t take Chicago out of the guy.
The most important point about this story now is that it has legs. Whitewater legs. Herpes legs. legs that will keep it going on and on, past November should vote rigging get him an electoral college win. Signatures under penalty of perjury contradicting your loud repeated and current public claims are still gonna be there no matter how much dust you manage to throw in the air.
ReplyDeleteThese same clowns impeached a president over blowjob perjury not so long ago, and now they have to live in the world they made.
Where were all of you obviously extremely politically astute(more so than the "PAID" professionals) with these finely detailed reports, never-wrong knowledge, traditional boxer stance thinking/anti-southpaw banters, and Democratic Republican rectifying corrections(no they don't have identical definitions) when those stubborn "cowboy shrubs" were destroying-or defacing rather-our "property value"?
ReplyDeleteSeems that you all's complete purpose is to complain and make claims. A "hater's" purpose if you will. The ability to point out a various and several problems will never equate nor will it ever trump the ability to actually SOLVE a single problem. Whether of the age old diseased Rep. Vs. Dem. fiasco or of the vicarious Libs and company; work towards solving the problems "by any means" while retaining ethics and some morals. Is that too much to ASK for, or is an increasing number of U.S.(Not American, Mexico use us and Canada can't do anything about us) citizens defecting from traditional patriotism and national support just another lie being perpetuated by presidential campaigns?
Hypocrisy thy name is GOP. THese conservative dudes are the most thin skinned wusses I have ever noticed. Mittens can go on the attack relentlessly but demands an apology at the drop of a hat. I agree with Field, if you want to run this country you need to be a bit more forthcoming and a little less hypocrisy wingnuts, you want to see freaking college grades but not the finances of the guy you want to run the country? ReplyDeleteAnd obviously the tax return issue isn't so much about Rmoney's earnings, even the "small sum" ($350k+) he made "speaking" (about running for president) in his (presumably) least damaging already released year, but his deductions and consequent extremely low tax rate. All of the secret millionaire gifts in the tax code that he and his class consider an entitlement like deducting the (70k) upkeep on your horse as a "business loss" are the issue.

Oh and if an ID isn't necessary to vote and ther is no voter fraud. Why are liberal groups sending pre-filled out voter cards to Dogs, Dead people and non-citizens? Which one are you lassie? You might straddle a few categories being brain dead and a liberal dog. Fetch boy - go fetch.

the only one weak and thin skinned is you. You aren't used to Conservatives meeting you head on. For years they just said...oh what can you expect they are liberals so sad they don't have a clue, the truth will win out. Now, we tell you the truth because we have seen how vicious and vile you are. And look how hard you cry when you can't lie your way out of reality.
Wahhhhhhhhhh. Slaves....wahhhh.....
What a weak little prissy entitled man you are. They don't want to give, give, give, they are telling the truth, they want to make slaves of us. Go soak your little head with that slave talk nonsense. The people working for a living that are being bled dry to prop up this failed president with ALL the votes he has to buy are the enslaved ones.

Not to adults who earn their living. It is an issue to jealous entitled ones who think the world owes them something whilst they live off a check that is sent to them from the fruit of someone elses' labors.

But seriously, if it takes this much effort and time for Mittens to release his tax returns how can anyone assume anything but the fact he's hiding something? If everyone else releases theirs with no problem then this dude comes along and stalls what gives? Even Newt's fat ignorant ass saw this coming. Hell, even Insane Santorum saw he was a bad candidate. Notice the buzz words that come to your mind...magic underwear....smoking weed....
Have you always beeen this much of a lightweight? You haven't thrown around racism that much aside from your ridiculous slave comments, are you saving that excuse for later?

ReplyDelete"Pilot X, I think it's the same old song from the wingnut crowd: win an election by any means necessary."
Yet the democrats are the ones out there registering people for the last twenty years. How many people do we have to register each year?
Acorn all the other fraud...The Democrats are the ones who break the laws and constitution to push forward the radical country busting agenda AGAINST the will of the people...ah never mind you know the facts. Just know there will be poll watchers this year that will chase off those Panthers, count on it.
What will they do if O gets 4 more years? This coming election will be veeery interesting.:)
Adapt, if you can't beat them join them. I will sell all my assets, hide them like my neighbors and collect welfare, foodstamps and disability to join the rest of the democrats. I will not be a SLAVE as Pile it says. Anyway, it wont be long if he gets re-elected.
"Oh and if an ID isn't necessary to vote and ther is no voter fraud. Why are liberal groups sending pre-filled out voter cards to Dogs, Dead people and non-citizens? Which one are you lassie?"

ReplyDeleteWe will see, wingnut. We will see.
One of the companies that Bain controlled during the period in dispute (1999 - 2002) was in the business of disposal of aborted fetus remains. This is the information that Romney is desparately trying to hide. If it becomes common knowledge that Bain was in control of this disposal company with Romney as the Owner, and CEO of Bain, he will be dead to the Anti-Abortion Christian Conservatives come the November Election. Romney knows that if he gives up his tax returns his involvement in this company will be made public and he will be up shit's creek without the proverbial paddle.... Nuff Said....

“John Kerry released two years of taxes,” Romney recently told CNBC’s Larry Kudlow. “I’ve released one already, put the estimate out for the next year. We’ll have two years of taxes.”
ReplyDeleteIt’s a convenient rejoinder. But it’s also inaccurate. When Kerry ran for president in 2004, he had released 20 years’ worth of tax returns. The extent of that disclosure was first reported by Think Progress Tuesday, but even after the site published its report, there were lingering questions. It was impossible to find copies of Kerry’s tax returns on the web. And if he released them during the ’04 campaign, he did so without much fanfare.
According to several veterans of the Kerry campaign, that’s because the senator made it standard practice to release five or six years worth of tax returns during each of his Senate campaigns, meaning that when he launched his 2004 presidential bid, 18 years of tax returns had already been made public. (He then released an additional two years’ worth during the campaign.) Those returns were sent to local Massachusetts reporters covering his Senate races, rather than the national press corps. A newspaper archive search confirmed their disclosure"

ReplyDeleteThe Butchering of Gaddafi Is America’s Crime
by BAR executive editor Glen Ford
“Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton appeared like ghoulish despots at a Roman Coliseum, reveling in their Libyan gladiators’ butchery.”
Last week the whole world saw, and every decent soul recoiled, at the true face of NATO’s answer to the Arab Spring. An elderly, helpless prisoner struggled to maintain his dignity in a screaming swirl of savages, one of whom thrusts a knife [4] up his rectum. These are Europe and America’s jihadis in the flesh. In a few minutes of joyously recorded bestiality, the rabid pack undid every carefully packaged image of NATO’s “humanitarian” project in North Africa – a horror and revelation indelibly imprinted on the global consciousness by the brutes’ own cell phones.
Nearly eight months of incessant bombing by the air forces of nations that account for 70 percent of the world’s weapons spending, all culminating in the gang-bang slaughter of Moammar Gaddafi, his son Mutassim and his military chief of staff, outside Sirte. The NATO-armed bands then displayed the battered corpses for days in Misurata – the city that had earlier made good on its vow to “purge Black skin” through the massacre and dispersal of 30,000 darker residents of nearby Tawurgha – before disposing of the bodies in an unknown location.
