The last laugh.

"The whole town's laughing at me Silly fool, how'd you lose such a good friend? Oh...Maybe if I had spent more time with you Maybe then, maybe then you still be mine Maybe I think about it And only if I had been just a little more kind to you There'd be no need, for this man to be cryin"

I know that Mitt Romney isn't exactly a Philly International kind of guy when it comes to his music, but I wouldn't be surprised if my man is playing that Teddy Pendergrass classic over and over in his head right about now.

The "good friend", of course, would be the American electorate. The day after an Obama political beat down my man and his minions must be wondering what hit them.

Unemployment at almost 8%,political gridlock in Washington, FOX News in full Benghazi mode, the country heading for a "fiscal cliff", wingnuts foaming at the mouth, and he still couldn't deliver. Is it any wonder that the whole town is laughing?

Of course, as is to be expected, wingnuts are doubling down. They have already started pointing fingers and declaring that the problem was that Mitt wasn't conservative enough. The circular firing squad is getting ready start shooting. Conservative radio was all over Mitt today, and they swear that if they had elected someone further to the right this would not have happened.

Then there are those on the other side. These are the folks the tea party types call the "Washington insiders". Folks like Karl Rove and the talking heads over at FOX. They blame everything from Hurricane Sandy to Candy Crowley being too hard on Mitt in one of the debates. They also want to reach out to Hispanics and women (notice there is nothing about reaching out to Negroes)because, as Rove said last night, Hispanics have many shared values with conservatives and traditional Americans. (See white folks)The problem is, of course, that Hispanics, like black folks, know when and where they are not wanted, ("Self deport", Mitt?) and their memories didn't all of a sudden go away. So the incredible shrinking party will continue to go away. They will continue to pick up votes among poor uneducated Southern whites, who, every year, can be counted to turn states like Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama (and their single digit electoral college votes) red. That's not going to get you to 270. And, thanks in part to candidates like Todd Akin and Richard Mourdock, they will continue to lose young people, minorities, and women from under their tent.

"Had my dream so near I could reach out and touch it And I lost it and I lost it Had a world complete It was, oh, so sweet And I lost it and I lost it."

Don't worry Mitt; there will always be The Olympic Games.

Finally, O is too classy to do it so I will do it for him: To Donald Trump, Peggy Noonan, Michael Medved, Karl Rove, and others; your crow is ready. I hope you like jerk seasoning.

h/t to Greg Fuller for the pic.

    Field,

I watched the whole Foxnews thing when they called Ohio for Obama and Rove went nuts. I can see John Stewart and SNL doing skits on that. It was funny. Rove got on the phone and maybe The Koch Brothers where on the other line like 'Karl what the hell is going on? I spent my money for this?' He was looking spoked on the phone so it could have been one of his money people.

I hope you still laugh when you get your 4thQ 401k statement in Jan, Not even one day after re-election and GDP forecast revised downward .4% of the staggering 2% increase under Obama in 4 years (snark, Snark) that's all of the freebees. Extremely large amounts of planned layoffs announced, credit downgrade coming and announced, stock market crashing.....what's the plan again? Raise taxes? Keep borrowing and spending? No - you aren't a fool who just shot his nuts off because of race or anything like that, nope.

    OK it's your show now.

Now where, where have we seen this play out before? Detroit? Camden? Philly? St Louis? Atlanta? oh yeah.....we know what's next don't we Mr Leftist?

Man, the highlight of the night was Karl Rove reentering the Earth atmosphere.

Lastly, I just love the optics of his little girls jumping on and off Air Force One.

Why Field, you're not intimating that the problem was anything but an insufficiently severe conservative old white man to attract all of the old white men to the polls are you? I personally think that if the gop/tklan ought to look for a "real" conservative, someone viscerally repulsed by 2s1 century America, a Pat Buchannon type, someone who doesn't need the code words because he says it all openly.

Yeah, that's what they need in 2016

Dear Mr Field, all of my retirement funds was lost in one day! the day after the election...what gives? I am going in for heart surgery tomorrow at 8am. The weather is going to be miserable, which is another bad sign for me.

Why, oh why did it have to be Obama? Just goes to show you that voters in America don't know who to vote for. There should be intense classes on what, why and how to vote, esp for Negroes who are considered irrelevant by this President.

Now WHY would a race of people vote for someone who doesn't give a damn about them? The only logical answer is they hope "someday" to be thought of as relevant. Good luck.

  8. As of about 6 p.m. Eastern, Mitt Romney said he had only one speech prepared — and it wasn’t a concession.

“I just finished writing a victory speech,” he told reporters aboard his plane. “It’s about 1,118 words.” He would keep working on it, he said, “but I’ve only written one speech at this point.”

Dear Mr Field, please allow me to re-introduce myself: I was your FN advisor many months ago about Gold and Silver. Unfortunately you failed to listen, and missed a great opportunity to make hundreds of thousands of dollars if not millions by investing in gold AND silver.

Well, I have good news. With the re-election of Obama Gold and Silver will go through the roof because the dollar is going to lose even more value.

Mr Field, I am trying to help you because you a Jamaican brother who likes beef jerky like I do. Buy some gold and silver tomorrow before it's too late! By the mid-December, you will have plenty of spending money for Xmas and New Years. Also, I highly recommend that you keep buying gold and silver for the entire time that Obama is President.

Yes, agreed. I would be very cautious about labelling this a "Victory". It may be the Obama supporters who end up eating crow.

The Obama response is pretty much predictable. Rather than recognizing he does not have a super-majority and a very deeply divided and angry constituency, he is going to continue to press ahead like he does have a super majority with his "I Won" attitude.

Another round of QE; failing states like CA, IL and NY will be bailed out with worthless money, and the people will rejoice for a short while.

And then the real pain comes, however, he does not have the leadership skills nor the temperment to reach out nor make the tough choices.

It was a good run while it lasted, America. For those that think that those who actually produce (an I'm not talking those employed in service based or public sector jobs) will continue to be the big dog that the ticks can feed on, you are sadly mistaken.

Oh, you'll get away with it I'm guessing for one more round of QE and living another 2 years in complete denial.

    Then the ugly will arrive.

    I won't say I told you so, because I won't be here.

    Good Luck. Enjoy your "choice".

Sure you could, Obama and the Unions did buy the election with our money. Obama and the liberals are the ones who spread hate, racism and elitism all he had was class and race warfare, after all he failed at everything else.

But he told you that he cared about you - by violating religious principles over contraceptives and you loved it.

In any case, glad you are relieved.

Oh by the way, taxes just went up in California, I am sure you know about prop 30 - sales taxes too, this is NOT part of the taxmaggedon increases that are going to hit in January with all the Obamacare taxes levied and not part of the taxes on the "rich" Obama has told you he is going to implement federally. Yes, sure uh-huh, a measly little tax on the rich won't effect anyone else..uh-huh.. and a small little company just announced it is closing completely it's California operations - Boeing. Isn't it great they were given financial incentives not to mention it until after the election and promised by Obama that taxpayers would pay for any legal costs because they screwed their employees?

My-MY if a lot of businesses fold and leave California as they are doing (they don't even make movies there anymore) who will pay for all the benefits people get and the Magic Bullet train to nowhere? I mean surely the government will take care of you as they promised right? Or will they make sure the illegals get their benefits first? Better start reading up on Greece, Spain, Italy and see what they are going through so you have a plan, oh well the borders are open in California you could always just pop over to Mexico to eat....oh wait.....they won't let you. I wonder why they would do something like that? I mean the future is bright and sunny with Obama and the party of tax and spend winning the White House again isn't it?

Wonder what happens if China who owns a lot of our debt dumps the dollar? Oh you mean they are? India, Russia, Iran tooo and buying oil from Iran purely in gold (no those sanctions were all made up anyway, after all Obama never wanted them remember)?
Oh my, what will all those pretty numbers in your bank account mean if the dollar becomes deflated because Bernanke keeps printing as he has throughout Obamas tenure to prop him up? What if it crashes and those who we live off of by borrowing, say no more we give you a dollar and you print and make it worth 50 cents?

What happens if we can't borrow enough? We can't tax 100% of everyone that won't work, we already spend more in interest and debt than GDP....has anyone seen a budget from Obama at all in four years?

What if....nah forget what if, it's happening. Now we will know.

The guy who told you to buy gold is giving you good advice, you can't retire to Jamaica with a fistful of Obamabucks that are about as valuable as a company called Solyndra.

“Well unfortunately, and most of my employees are Hispanic — I’m not gonna go into what kind of company I have, but I have mostly Hispanic employees — well unfortunately we know what happened and I can’t wait around anymore, I have to be proactive. I had to lay off 22 people today to make sure that my business is gonna thrive and I’m gonna be around for years to come. I have to build up that nest egg now for the taxes and regulations that are coming my way. Elections do have consequences, but so do choices. A choice you make every day has consequences and you know what, I’ve always put my employees first, but unfortunately today I have to put me and my family first, and you watch what’s gonna happen. I’m just one guy with 114 employees — well was 114 employees — watch what happens in the next six months. The Dow alone lost 314 points today. There’s a tsunami coming and if you didn’t think this election had consequences, just wait.”

Gotta love the idiots who with one breath rant about Obama turning the US into a European-style socialist hellhole and then in the next urge all white people to immigrate back to Europe. What all those bigots are forgetting (or trying desperately to ignore) is that while they may cling to their Aryan Nation fantasies, out here in the real world the country's becoming more and more diverse. More and more inter-ethnic and inter-racial families, more openly gay friends and relatives, etc., and we sane white people are fine with that. Like Lindsey Graham said, there's a limited supply of angry old white men. Until the Republicans recognize that, the GOP isn't going to win a national election. Oh, they can manage to hang on to stuff like Congressional seats thanks to gerrymandered districts, but even those districts are on the wrong side of history.

Just Why again did you want Obama? Was it all about skin color? There goes more U.S allies, when we will need them most.

MOSCOW (AP) — Russia expects President Barack Obama to show more flexibility in a dispute over U.S. missile defense plans following his re-election, the country’s deputy prime minister said Thursday.

The controversy over the planned missile shield has strained the relations between the U.S. and Russia. Moscow has rejected Washington’s assurances that the shield is intended to fend off potential missile threats from Iran and voiced concern the system could threaten Russia’s nuclear deterrent.

In March, Obama, unaware that he was speaking on an open microphone, told Dmitry Medvedev, then Russian president, that he would have more flexibility on the issue after November’s election.

    kudos to the sheeple!

u voted for hobama's last laughs!!!

u won the vote for your final fatal fleecings!

that blackish bankster hobama is already singing your swan songs!!!

With little resistance on the Left, and virtually none from organized Black America, Obama has worked miracles for the resuscitation of the Lords of Capital and their imperial apparatus – feats that only a Black corporate Democrat could accomplish. After saving George Bush’s bank bailout in October of 2008 (it passed only after candidate Obama’s intervention), Obama undertook the historic mission of placing the U.S. State at the total disposal of finance capital. Under Obama’s watch, the Treasury Department and, especially, the Federal Reserve have funneled at least $16 trillion to Wall Street and its foreign annexes – a sum greater than the national GDP. The “free money” window at the Federal Reserve has become a permanent fixture of the global financial order, permanently blurring the lines between the U.S. state and international finance capital. Obama has embedded the state into the banks, and vice versa, in ways that cannot be undone without causing the system to collapse. In a very real sense, the “good faith and credit” of the United States has become a collective corporate asset of the Lords of Capital – an outcome that fits the classic structural description of fascism. No Republican could have delivered the state apparatus so effectively to the banks – there would have been fierce resistance from within the Democratic base, as well as libertarian Right. But Obama has proven to be the more effective facilitator of the bankers’ state.

Despite his background, Obama knew enough about African Americans to pay us no attention and less respect. There would be no penalty. Black folks had convinced themselves that Obama needed our protection; it never occurred to most of us that we needed protection from him – not during the primaries, when he praised Ronald Reagan’s reaction to the “excesses” of the Sixties, or when he refused to endorse even a voluntary halt to home foreclosures (while Hillary Clinton and John Edwards endorsed “voluntary” and mandatory moratoriums, respectively); not in the last weeks before his inauguration, when Obama announced that Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and all “entitlements” would be “on the table” for chopping under his administration.

OK dittohead blinders, whatever other crap you can jam in a sentence to hide your lack of facts.

How much is California in debt? How many cities in that state have gone completely bankrupt?

Same for NY How much debt are they holding, are they near bankruptcy?

    Same for Chicago

Same for Atlanta - Atlanta is totally screwed.

Same for Detroit - you should at least know about this city with white flight, few taxpayers democratic scandals and bad management for years....lights out literally.

I could go on but I don't think you listen to reason you are a liberal. You don't see the world as it is, you see it as you want it to be.

Now compare them to ANY state run by a Republican Governor including the ones you listed as being "in bad shape" Now maybe in your mixed up mind you think governors cutting the budget and the fat happy waste money mayors complaining means times are tough like in New Orleans, New Orleans is doing great now compared to how it was being run, take a look at the financials they are on line. They won't be going bankrupt and can still charge all the EBT's each month.

Imagine - running a city with a budget and living within your means. Must sound like Greek to someone like you or Italian, Or French or Castillian Spanish or.....Ebonics. It sure as hell isn't obamanomics.

You do know that all the states you think are being run much better are running on fumes and have so many unfunded entitlements they are near bankruptcy and I do mean very near. Look it up, you might be surprised to know the magic paper is all a farce and ready to fall at any moment with Obama's re-election making conditions just right for the pimple to pop,

We can't borrow anymore, we are at max debt for the country - they say no problem well raise it another 2 trillion - uh-huh and print more to make it happen raise prices on food and energy, raise taxes, short circuit the economy more - slowdown more - recession - liberal states are totally fucked.

Watch and remember these words - it's happening now.

So the Hermencaine Performance Art Project (tm) says that a single black man standing outside of a polling place in Philly intimidated white people out of voting. Interestingly, he had no comment whatsoever on weather the hoards of white "pollwatchers" deployed to minority neighborhoods across the country intimidated any of them out of voting.

I wonder if he lets his white friends call him "boy" like Clarence Thomas did with Rhenquist?

Do you let your Black boyfriends still call you the pudgy squirrel?

I love the wefare trolls like anon at 0223 who claims to be a titan of industry who is now leaving their trailer park for some magical fairyland where "free markets" and "job creators" live. Could it be the planet Kobol?

Why would a welfare troll vote against Obama Claus? Use that little brain of yours will-ya it's getting embarrassing.

  49. One obvious success of the ripoffiklan vote-manipulation project is Florida's still incomplete vote count. Rick Scott was out to repeat Jeb Bush's clusterfuck in 2000 and it must be said, that it looks like he outdid it. We can't afford any more of this jimcrow foolisness with the franchise. We need a new Federal voters rights act to include online and same day registration, universal absentee ballot access, at least a full 7 day week of 9-5 in person voting and social security cards made valid voter ID in all federal elections in ID voting states.

  50. Good question, trailer park welfare trolls are racists.

Other anon I specifically stated SC, MS and LA. You mean to tell me these red states are doing well financially? Really?
