Laws have recently been passed in Russia that makes it extremely difficult to be gay/lesbian in that country. Protests have been held in the U.S. over what is happening to LGBT people in Russia.

I've wondered about that myself, and I'm Black. I think it stems from selfishness run wild. Our politicians from our community are blind and drunk with themselves and new found power. They go insane, literally to the extent they are out of control and feel they can do to us anything they want without consequences.
Obama treats us the same way. Why does he do it? Because he can, like other black politicians do to us. It all comes from selfishness running a job that's suppose to be 'selfless' and for the people.

Government schools teach the same thing to white and black students, whether the school is all white, all black, or integrated.
You went to school before the curriculum and mission were changed. I'll bet your school did not have endemic gang violence, free contraception, a "Discipline Gap" program, in-school daycare for all the children of students, or an obsessive focus on viewing the history of the country solely through the lenses of slavery and civil rights struggles.
Your school probably had more teachers than administrators. You were probably required to do homework and your parents were obligated to feed you and maybe even come to an occasional teacher conference.
You probably read some books that were not written by or about Malcolm X or MLK. Your science and math classes probably encouraged you to think.
Consequently, you graduated with the wherewithal to achieve an upper middle class existence and with enough educational background to indulge your natural intellectual curiosity in your leisure time.
If you are that unaware with what children are being taught in government schools, I would bet that you do not have children that ever attended public school.
Today's government schools are all about indoctrination. Our students lives are being sacrificed for a cause they don't even know exists.

Uh No! The GOP party are the ones currently making the laws to burden the middle class. They're in control of the House, which by the way holds the purse strings and where bills are brought to the floor. Therefore, that would be the GOP billionaires like the Koch brothers that are influencing the laws.

On the other hand, Putin has been bending him over just like his old days at "Man's World" in Chicago. Now, Putin is just mocking him and his flaccid policies. He even has the general population in on it.
