"Ugly" thoughts.

So I am looking at this conservative writer, and, from the looks of things, his parents doomed him to a life of failure. (This dude ain't dating no super models anytime soon. Just sayin.)

Honestly, if this guy had a billion dollars sitting in the bank it wouldn't help his lot in life, because, at the end of the day, he would still be him.

This might explain why he hates poor and downtrodden people so much.

"Conservative blogger and author Erick Erickson said Thursday that some minimum wage workers have simply “failed at life.”

Erickson made the comment while guest hosting for Rush Limbaugh‘s radio program.

“The minimum wage is mostly people who failed at life and high school kids,” Erickson said. “Seriously, look. I don’t mean to be ugly with you people. … If you’re a 30-something-year-old person and you’re making minimum wage you probably failed at life.”

Erickson dismissed the idea that some of those people may have just been down on their luck. “It is not that life dealt you a bad hand,” he said. “Life does not deal you cards. It’s that you failed at life.”' [Source]

You don't mean to be ugly, but you are. Literally.

This guy better not eat out for the rest of his life. (Spit sauce with just about every meal.) Who does he think is serving him, parking his car, and making his food in some of those fancy restaurants that I am sure he likes to frequent?

Personally, I applaud people who have been down on their luck (for whatever reason) and who are willing to take a minimum wage job --or two--- to try and pull themselves up again by putting in an honest day's work. Operative word being work. That is more than I can say for Erickson and his right- wing buddies who are here on earth sucking up the air that us decent people have to breathe.

But this is where we are with the class war currently going on in America. On one side we have people like Erick Erickson and his buddies. And on the other side we have hard working Americans who are just trying to make it and take care of themselves and their families.

The dope boys are listening to folks like Erick Erickson who demonize hard work for little pay. In fact, like Erickson, they make fun of minimum wage workers all the time. "Man I ain't flipping no burgers for a living. I can make in an hour slinging on the corner what it takes me a week to make working at Mickey D's."

You would think conservatives would encourage hard work. Start off at minimum wage and work your way up. If you work hard you will be rewarded. Isn't that the American way?

That's certainly what Jason Riley seems to be saying in a typical house Negro pull yourself up the bootstrap screed he penned, recently. (Yo Jason, your ideological soul-mate doesn't want anyone to pull themselves up; he says that they are all failures.)

"The minimum wage is mostly people who failed at life and high school kids.... Seriously, look. I don’t mean to be ugly with you people.."

Too late.

    This pretty much true.

You can have a run of bad luck, and have to work a minimum wage job for a little while, but if you are stuck doing that kind of work permanently, something ain't right.

But doing something is better than nothing. I have much more respect for a 30-something-year-old person doing a minimum wage job than for a 50-something-year-old person who stays in school forever and never works a day in her life.

It may not always be self-inflicted, it could be situational or it could be a personal circumstance, ie lack of personal abilities that one cannot help, and that's ok. As I get older, I try not to judge especially if I've never walked a lifetime in that person's shoes.

I am thankful for who I am, and what I was blessed with that enables me to be intellectually/mentally/emotionally "capable" of "elevating" myself in life (not being condescending). I do not take THAT part of me for granted. I also know that one bad situation could also knock me off balance, for life. And part of my "success" in life, I'm sure was being the "visually right whatever" or being at the right place at the right time. Let us not forget that.

In other words, I may not be a low wage worker, but I know darn well I could never be a Rocket Scientist making close to seven figures a year. That is fine by me. That is not who I am, much less what I aspire to be. We are all individuals. We all don't think or feel the same. But we should all give each other the respect of dignity/humanity regardless of occupation or what we perceive of that individual. You never know a person's story.

Thank you Anon. QLB is the classic case of a white angry male who is experiencing "failure to thrive". He is clearly unable to contain his displaced anger.

I've said it before... I also suspect he experienced some sort of altercation/s with black males which left him feeling powerless/emasculated. Despite all the racist things he says, he routinely focuses on the belief that blacks (men) are simply violent creatures who suffer with poor impulse control (black crime stats, "shit show in Chicago" etc). This idea pacifies his wounded masculinity and/or helps him focus on false superiority. Something happened to that fella, he's looking for a release for all of that failure/pain/anger he's harboring inside.

Most of us see through him, and despite what he thinks, he's not being clever nor "brand new".

And maybe you're just entertainment. The rest of the world view you as such. It's really the one field in which you excel. Here's the rub. Like all entertainment, there are choices and like TV you can just turn it off.

It is a logical fallacy to assume that you can extrapolate from one's own experiences to the experience's of another; especially based off of appearances, a 15 second encounter, or a single sentence description.

From first impressions alone it is impossible to know why someone is homeless, marginalized, or working a minimum wage job. There is no short cut around deep inquiry, inquisitiveness, and a genuine and sincere interest in other peoples lives.

The fact is, by the societal norms through which we define success, there are only a narrow set of paths be which a person can achieve success, and an ever increasing number of modes of failure. At least in a statistical sense failure is much more common than success.

At the end of the day do onto others as you would have done onto you, and judge not lest you be judged yourself.

Bill, my boy let me have one last try at explaining this in terms so simple even you might understand.

    1. There is no such thing as a 'kipper fish'.

    2. A kipper is a smoked herring.

    3. To smoke a herring you have to fillet it.

    4. Even without the filleting process, like most fish herring's do not have penises.

    5. So no male anatomy involved.

dear mr field, i woke up in a cold sweat very early this am. lately i haven't been able to sleep very well.

this ferguson thing has me traumatized. i am afraid to go out to any place where there are a lot of whites. as a bm i realize that my life is at risk. there are so many unpredictable QLB'S out there. one never knows what a QLB may do.

i have nightmares because of the way QLB thinks. i can't believe there are people like him exist. there must be a mistake of genes gone wild.

i can't believe God made such a creature! anyway, i am depressed more than ever. life for brothers and sisters should not be like this in America. but it is. it actually is in 2014.

mr field, what do you suggest a bm or bw should do, pray?

i wish you would post "solutions" to the racist problem. i mean, we can come up with solutions for ISIS in a short amount of time yet it's been centuries and no solution for racism and police brutality and murders of bm.

now the President is going to act re: immigration. why won't he act re: our black children being killed? why won't he act re: our bw missing?

why must we be insulted by racist evil whites like QLB on fn blog? why do you allow QLB to comment freely without monitoring?

yet you monitored comments of Alicia Banks? is QLB better than Alicia?

why do Blacks like yourself have double standards for Blacks? isn't that a form of racism against ourselfves? isn't that a form of self-hatred? isn't that agreeing with the wm about ourselves?

no wonder Blacks show signs of being depressed and traumatized. look at how our folks reacted in Ferguson! they were traumatized and depressed!

the shooting of Michael Brown as though his life didn't count reminded me of the 60s when we were treated by whites as less than human. it still goes on in these phony post-racial times.

but today we treat ourselves the same way. we shoot each other dead in the streets. that only adds to the dangers and risks of being Black: "if the Whites don't get the bm, the Blacks will."

mr field, is that a life worth living?

i wonder how many Blacks actually sleep through the night without interruption?

mr field, how about you? do you lose sleep like i do?

Still A Panther2, how about you?

You people are truly insane. There are an average of 12 million arrests per year in the US, yet the number of what are judged to be justifiable homicides by the police number around 400 per year. Less than half of those are Black. ( that means less than 200 per year ) That's about number of Black on Black homicides in 6 months involving the city of Chicago. Yet you're somehow scared of Whites? Simply amazing. Speaking of Chicago, there were three homicides scored last night with the biggest shooting night of the week coming up.
BTW I've never ever preached violence towards anyone. On the other hand there's been quite a bit of "kill YT" preached here.

  25. These kind of things happen when the left values political correctness over justice and protecting its citizenry.

LONDON — A report released on Tuesday on accusations of widespread sexual abuse in the northern England city of Rotherham found that about 1,400 minors — some as young as 11 years old — were beaten, raped and trafficked from 1997 to 2013 as the local authorities ignored a series of red flags.

Some children were doused in gasoline and threatened with being set on fire if they reported their abusers, the report said, and others were forced to watch rapes and threatened with the same fate. In more than a third of the cases, the victims appear to have been known to child protection agencies, but the police and local government officials failed to act.

“Having considered the report, I believe it is only right that I, as leader, take responsibility on behalf of the council for the historic failings that are described so clearly in the report, and it is my intention to do so,” said Roger Stone, the leader of the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council since 2003.

The vast majority of perpetrators have been identified as South Asian and most victims were young white girls, adding to the complexity of the case. Some officials appeared to believe that social workers pointing to a pattern of sexual exploitation were exaggerating, while others reportedly worried about being accused of racism if they spoke out. The report accused officials of ignoring “a politically inconvenient truth” in turning a blind eye to men of Pakistani heritage grooming vulnerable white girls for sex.

    (1) His planned immigration power grab will be unpopular.
    (2) His planned immigration power grab will be blamed on Democrats.
    (3) His planned immigration power grab will foreclose working with Congress on any of his priorities during his final years in office.

Obama's solution: wait until he knows for sure whether there's going to be a GOP-run Congress.

Back in April, the Islamic Boko Haram organization in the backwoods of Nigeria kidnapped 276 local black Christian schoolgirls and threatened to sell them as wives and/or sex slaves. This became a vast global story with the great and good all over the world weighing in to demonstrate their concern.

So far all this awareness raising hasn’t, actually, helped — some girls subsequently escaped, but 217 are still unaccounted for. But that’s not the point, the point is that Awareness Was Raised, and, more importantly, that numerous celebrities were seen engaging in Raising Awareness so that your awareness of their awareness has been raised.

In contrast, for many years in England, Pakistani pimps have been luring pubescent white Christian girls into sexual slavery; but the English Establishment — police, political, and media — responded with a long Awareness Lowering campaign. In the first decade of the 21st Century, those who protested were ignored, censored, or sent to diversity sensitivity training. The most prominent politician to take up the case a decade ago, Nick Griffin of the BNP, was put on trial twice for inciting racial hatred (but juries did not convict him).

    @ world of lies:

There might be another reason why one crime was righteously denounced around the globe, while the other was covered up.

Notice that in the Boko Haram case, the victims were black, and hence fit nicely into the West’s “official victim” category.

In the Rotherham case, the victims were white, and hence officially considered oppressors. The criminals were non-white, and therefore considered official victims of the aforementioned white oppressors.

In fact, the Rotherham criminals were also non-Western and non-Christian, making them a veritable bonanza of politically-correct victimhood: not even “Twofers,” but “Threefers!”

Victimizing black people is always wrong. Victimizing white people, well, it depends on who’s doing it. That’s what passes for justice now in the West.
