"You don't know me but I'm your brother
I was raised here in this living Hell
You don't know my kind in your world
Fairly soon, the time will tell
You, telling me the things you're gonna do for me
I ain't blind and I don't like what I think I see...." ~Taken It To The Streets by the The Doobie Brothers~
The Black Lives Matter folks crashed yet another Bernie Sanders gathering this weekend, and it has white liberals quite upset with some of you Negroes. "Why are they protesting poor Bernie Sanders? The man marched with Dr. King for crying out loud." (So did Charlton Heston, but we get the point.) And you are hearing a lot of this as well: "They should be out protesting republican and conservative gatherings, not the people who are actually supporting black causes".
I can't say that I disagree with that sentiment, but I also understand the anger and frustration with professional politicians like Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton. Like the great Doobie Brothers say in their song, they are always telling us what they are going to do for us, but they can never quite deliver.
I have heard that this particular group is fronted by George Soros, and that he (Soros) is with Hillary all the way, so he is the person behind all those protests against Sanders. I am not sure if that's true or not, but if it turns out to be the case, the protesters might want to do some soul searching. It's cool to make Bernie Sanders accountable, but Hillary Clinton needs to be accountable as well. These people are supposed to be our political soul- mates. They are the ones who are supposed to look out for us when those other people are taking away our voting rights, locking up our sons and daughters, supporting an out of control law enforcement establishment, gutting public education, and sending our jobs to who knows where.
But if we are going to be honest with ourselves, we have to admit that most of the time we can't tell one politician from the other. Once they get our votes, it's off to Washington and business as usual: More money from lobbyist to pass laws to help rich people who bought and paid for said lobbyist in the first place.
What a racket.
And speaking of those other people, it looks like their front runner, Donald Trump, has finally done the unthinkable in their eyes: attack a FOX VIEWS host.
Nothing Donald Trump did leading up to his ignorant and misogynistic rant about Megyn (White Santa) Kelly seemed to affect his lead on the GOP field. He said racist, xenophobic, and misogynist things before , but all that just seemed to make him even more popular among the faithful. "Oh that's Donald just speaking his mind and saying what they rest of us are thinking but are too afraid to say. We are sick of political correctness." So now that he has been politically incorrect with one of their own, will their views suddenly change?
I think we are already starting to see the answer to that question.
"But [Ben]Carson thinks there’s a line you can cross when you’re being politically incorrect, and talked to CBS’ John Dickerson about it on Face the Nation this morning.
“I think there may be a difference,” Carson said, “between political correctness and, you know, courteous speech.”
He made it clear that political correctness makes it difficult for people to honestly speak to one another, but “in no way to I advocate saying mean things about people.”
So Dr. Ben, which is it? I think a brain surgeon should show more clarity of thought on this one.
And then there was Rand Paul.
"[Rand]Paul was the first of Donald Trump‘s rivals to go on the attack against him at last week’s Republican debate, right after Trump got booed for refusing to commit to the GOP. Paul said, “This is what’s wrong. He buys and sells politicians of all stripes.”
On Fox News Sunday today, Paul elaborated to Chris Wallace, saying, “I don’t think we should reward vulgarity. And I don’t think vulgarity equates with insight.”'
Now that's a case of the pot and the kettle if I have ever seen one. Mr. Paul must have forgotten what network he was on. The folks at FOX VIEWS have spent the last seven years being vulgar to the man who makes his home at 1600 Pennsylvania, Avenue.
What Donald Trump is now finding out (and I think that the polls will soon reflect it), is that it's not only those nasty Democrats who have strict political correctness standards; the party he is running to represent in the presidential race has them as well. They just happen to be standards of convenience.

"What Donald Trump is now finding out (and I think that the polls will soon reflect it), is that it's not only those nasty Democrats who have strict political correctness standards; the party he is running to represent in the presidential race has them as well. They just happen to be standards of convenience."
ReplyDelete"Standards of convenience" indeed.
What I've been saying all along is that the problem for Trump is that his hateful pandering is "louder" than that of the other candidates -- who are really doing the same sort of rotten race-and-gender-baiting, only not quite as obviously and distastefully as The Donald. Trump's pandering lacks the ambiguity, the plausible deniability to bring in the bigots without driving away the non-bigots, which makes him unelectable.
This causes the Republican elites immense anxiety, and the word has already gone out to their minions to drop a truckload of napalm on Trump before he thoroughly screws things up for everybody.
You had better believe that if Trump were generally seen as electable and a team player, no one would give a rat's patoot that he'd insulted Megyn Kelly. But because he is an election-loser, now it's time to crank up the Outrage Machine and aim its business end squarely at Trump.
"What Donald Trump is now finding out (and I think that the polls will soon reflect it), is that it's not only those nasty Democrats who have strict political correctness standards; the party he is running to represent in the presidential race has them as well. ReplyDeleteField knows all about the pot-kettle and standards of convenience.
The hypocrisy is strong in the fields tonight.
I see field hasn't mentioned Robert Gray. How is it a man that did no campaigning, no fundraising, had no website and yet he was able to get a majority of blahs to vote for him in the Mississippi Democrat primary?
Yet field and many other blahs will tell use the Democrat plantation isn't a place that blahs live or a blah state of mind.
Black Lives Matter seem to be taking a self-destructive approach to their goals.
ReplyDeleteI'd say, first, that they seem to have an unrealistic view of the difficulty of the problem they are trying to solve and the timescale it will take to solve it. Balancing the right of cops to not get shot against the right of black civilians to not get shot isn't exactly a piece of cake.
They also may need to rethink their approach. Deciding to picket Bernie Sanders, or just white people in general, won't win many converts to their cause. Foolishly treating all white people as "complicit" in cops' bad acts will likely piss off even the most open-minded white people to the point of either ignoring their movement or, worse, deeming them to be totally irrational and unconditionally supporting the cops (#BlueLivesMatter).
Hey! Who is running Philadelphia now, Detroit, Los Angeles, Chicago....I think THEY should be President of the US.
ReplyDeleteAnd field, we haven't forgotten what blog we are on and how YOU FIELD spent the previous eight years being vulgar to the man that made his home at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
ReplyDeleteIs this the standards of convenience you was talking about, field? Or is this good ole fashion field negro hypocrisy?
I see blah women are out in force attacking field's new white obsession Megan Kelly. Blah women are so jealous of white women. Blah womem never miss a chance to attack white women, even if it means siding with Trump.

I expect that in short order, we will learn that Trump has bought their support by sending their kids to college. (Or by giving them coupons to Applebees. I don't know these ladies, so I can't say how expensive their support is.)
“I think there may be a difference,” Carson said, “between political correctness and, you know, courteous speech.”
ReplyDeleteHe made it clear that political correctness makes it difficult for people to honestly speak to one another, but “in no way to I advocate saying mean things about people.”
-------------------
Wasn't it Ben Carson who attacked Obama's Obamacare with 'the worst thing since slavery?' As a bm, I found his language offensive and racist. However, his popularity rose among the Repubs and certainly FOX NEWS.
Megyn Kelley has been outrageously offensive herself to Blacks(Santa is White). There was another racist comment by her, which I can't remember but she has made it clear that she is a anti-Black.
I am glad Trump gave her the business and he didn't say anything that was incorrect about her. The woman is trash and I for one, hope Trump continues to rise in the polls. That woman is a mean-spirited bitch, not a moderator or a reporter.
IMO, Megyn's fall in the media has begun and we can thank Trump for it. One thing for sure, Megyn won't be fucking with him like she has been fucking with Blacks....She is evil.
Thank you Donald Trump for slamming her on national tv.
"...And you are hearing a lot of this as well: "They should be out protesting republican and conservative gatherings, not the people who are actually supporting black causes"."
ReplyDelete---------------
They SHOULD be out protesting with the anger and rage they are protesting Bernie Sanders with. You see, Bernie is a 'soft' target, one who they can safely attack.
But if they themselves really cared the GOP candidates are very much an obvious target yet they have not said a word. They are cowards and quite destructive to Blacks in this nation. With them as so-called supporters, who needs the GOP?
That group is out of control and destructive. But haven't we been self-destructive all of our lives in this anti-God-anti-religious-racist country?
"I see field hasn't mentioned Robert Gray. How is it a man that did no campaigning, no fundraising, had no website and yet he was able to get a majority of blahs to vote for him in the Mississippi Democrat primary?"
ReplyDeleteKinky, I guess the answer you're going for is: "Black people are racist and will vote for any candidate who's black on the ballot -- even if he's a truck driver with no ideas on what he would do as governor"?
But perhaps you should consider an alternative possibility: The Democratic Party is a complete joke -- in fact, practically extinct -- in the state of Mississippi, and so their voter turnout is abysmal and no one really cares who they nominate since that person doesn't have a prayer of getting elected anyway.
You could probably put a potato on the Democratic ballot and have it get nominated. Really, nobody gives a shit, because it just doesn't matter at all.
"The folks at FOX VIEWS have spent the last seven years being vulgar to the man who makes his home at 1600 Pennsylvania, Avenue."
ReplyDeleteNot excusing and covering for the democrat equals being "vulgar" in Field's mind.
Go figure.
I wondered why Bernie Sanders was the focus instead of others who've shown absolutely no compassion or understanding of the 'black lives matter' movement and the need for improvement in the areas of education, health, jobs, etc. In fact, Bernie is considered a socialist by the powers that be because he advocates for a viable helping hand rather than the punitive approach of need based programs and he doesn't let Wall St get away with their role in all of this.
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to see how the neoliberals and the old guard react to this perceived betrayal.
These two ignoramuses should be a part of black lives matter group. There is something strange going on in the country. Evil Whites and evil Blacks are out growing numbers, out to destroy and kill.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's not even Black or White. Maybe it's just Evil moving to control America and the earth. Who knows? But one thing we can all agree on, it is utter chaos and confusion. The crooked looks straight and the straight looks crooked.
We are headed for something very eerily dark.

Niggers have really small brains, so they feel the need to make lots of noise to compensate for their lack of ideas.

Trump is so obviously being played by Kelly that there are guys in yurts on the Mongolian plains laughing at how that woman played him. She & that walking pustule Roger Ailes knew exactly how he would react to being challenged by a woman for his woman-hatred. The funny thing is though that even though it worked, it didn't matter, his support jumped 3 points among Republicans in the first scientific poll. He's at 23% overall; 15% would definitely follow him to an independent campaign, another 4% would if the eventual nominee isn't a Tbagger Which is numerically impossible if they vote trump in the primary. That's 1/5 of Republican votes following his orangutan hide rug out of the GOP like plague rats after the pied piper.
ReplyDeleteRand Paul and Ben Carson are the dimmest bulbs on the rack; don't really know much about politics or policy; odd that they're both doctors, both surgeons even; probably the tech school didn't leave time for a liberal education. 'm not saying they're dumb, just lazy thinkers, dim. Paul's dad is a thinker, half mad & half confederate, but a thinker. Paul learned his dad's conclusions without bothering to learn how to think. Carson, I don't think the man's ever had a political thought in his life. He had never even heard of a parliamentary system before he went to Israel to kis Bibi's...whatever; the aid who tried to explain it got cut off with a "that's so complicated, why don't they do it the same way we do" after a couple of minutes. he sure has learned how to monetize republican celebrity though.

ReplyDeleteRand Paul is a true believer, born and bred into the zombie cult known as libertarianism. None of their ideas have any connection to the real world, despite their pretensions to seriousness. Virtually all economists laugh at their obsession with going back on the gold standard and all the other wacky, unworkable, disastrous ideas. And their system of "morality" is pretty much the opposite of what anyone else would call morality. In their view, forcing a billionaire to pay tax is somehow a greater injustice than letting a poor person starve to death. Enough said about those assholes.
Ben Carson just says lots of extremist, Ann Coulter-y culture-war stuff: Obamacare is like slavery. Marxists are trying to turn your kids queer. Et cetera.
I don't know if Carson really believes this crap, or if he's merely saying what he thinks the wingnut voters want to hear. Either way, I don't care. He may be a neurosurgeon, but he's still a jackass.

Or so I am guessing.
Hey, did you know that wimpy, milquetoast Obama is planning on surrendering to ISIS, like some kind of cowardly Frenchman?
And did you also know that mean, heartless, dictator Obama intends to forcibly evict all the residents of New Jersey and turn the state into nothing but a giant windfarm in order to fight global warming (which is not a real thing anyway)?
I did not. But that's what Bill is for. He'll be along shortly to inform us about lots of other important fictional things that right-wingers are meant to be very angry about.
"...blood coming out of your wherever" is too subtle for Donald Trump, too sly, too oblique to have meant menstrual blood. No, I'm not convinced at all he meant that.
ReplyDeleteBut claiming it did mean that was convenient for the Republican establishment, who desperately wanted to take down the brash, unelectable boob. They knew he couldn't win the general election; he was political suicide. They needed an excuse to get rid of him, even a smear campaign. Megan Kelly's precious dignity had nothing to do with it.
Will be interesting to see whether it works, or if it takes planting a gay lover in Donald's limo, or a mash note from Hillary.

The two people who have the most nationwide power right now to address the concerns raised by BLM folks are AG Loretta Lynch and President Barack Obama. But people want to harass and bully a man who's running for President and does not have any control over the Department of Justice or the FBI or decisions on whether or not to bring federal indictments or civil rights investigations or whether to share military technology and weapons or intelligence with local police?
ReplyDeleteYeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Yes, Shady Grady, it makes sense to Blacks who have no sense. But haven't that always been the problem of Blacks? That is, never ever facing power? The truth is Bernie is a target 'because' he has no power. Blacks have been powerless so long that they fight the powerless in order to feel as though they are powerful.
ReplyDeleteIt makes psychological pathological sense when you fear the ones with the power to change the things Blacks so desperately need. I predict BLM will fizzle, and in the process leave a disgusting taste in the mouths of those would have supported the black cause.
In other words, we will be worse off in the end, thanks to these destructive and divisive morons.
Bernie Sanders is the Free Shit candidate, he has big crowds at most of his public events, big interest on social media, and is providing real competition to Hillary Clinton.
ReplyDeleteThat's why the establishment media is telling us he is unelectable.
Because of the media, we already know that blacks hate him; what happened to him at Nutroots a few weeks ago and Seattle on Saturday shows that.
So how come he's is polling so well?
I think the answer is as simple as the fact that the “blacks” that don’t like him are the loudmouth black wimmenz of the #BLM movement, and they’re in it for attention and looksatme far more than actually bashing The Bern.
In Democrat primaries and caucuses, I can easily see the scenario where The Bern beats HRC straight up among black voters. All he has to do is keep up his Free Shit mantra, and remind blacks of the Clintons’ transgressions against them during Bill Clinton’s Presidency.
In between the rain and the shoot em' ups, the locals got themselves some more of that social justice last night:
ReplyDeleteFERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – A beauty supply shop in Ferguson appears to have been looted at around 9pm on Sunday night. The crime occurred during a disruption in the Mike Brown anniversary protest march down West Florissant because of heavy downpours of rain.
Police responded to the break-in at Bowen’s Beauty Supply at around 9pm. Someone broke the glass doors. There are reports of man running out of the business with merchandise.

One of the Blah lives Matters women may have been a Sarah Palin supporter. These may have been plants. It would make sense, it makes the BLM movement look bad as well as hurting Bernie and his large crowds. I heard the BLM people have disavowed those two. Notice the denouncement of how those two acted by everyone. My bet is brotha Panther has some insight because he saw his organization infiltrated and compromised.
ReplyDeleteThe Donald learned you can insult the blahs, Mexicans and others but when you insult a white woman, especially a blonde, you get the business. But talk about conservative hypocrisy Erik Erickson of all people disinvited him? Erickson has his own problem with sexist and racist language. The fix is in, also watch how Fox is hyping Fiorrina because the gop needs her to attack Hillary without coming across as sexist. She was crowned the "winner" of the kids' table debate and is not the up and comer. Predictable but interesting nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteWhat it with Kinky's obsession with Mississippi? The party system in that backwards state is totally based on race. The GOP is the white party and the Dems are the black party. Yet, kinky doesn't think the whitefolks are on any plantation. Hmmm.

When infiltrators admitted disrupting Tea Party rallies, when most of the "racist" signs turn out to have been photoshopped, and when no one can produce any evidence (despite a $100,000 reward) that anyone used the n-word in front of the CBC, PilotX dismissed the mere suggestion of any plants or sabotage.
But when entire contingents of the Black Lives Matter folks repeatedly and purposefully disrupt political events featuring Hillary rivals, it could be because of Sarah Palin supporters.
Wow, just wow.
Some of the tea party signs may very well have been plants but overall the tp movement included many groups that the mainstream conservative movement shunned such as outright racists so I can assume many of the signs were real. Still this doesn't change the fact that there is something fishy about the BLM ladies. As Bruno Mars said "don't believe me just watch". Name one.
The Tea Party movement was falsely branded as "racist" because that's what the left does to every individual or group or idea that threatens their hegemony.
It works, every time, because there is no worse thing you can call someone. And if you control the media, your version of reality wins.

Are you impugning their personal hygiene? That's dangerous territory (ask Trump).
If there is a whiff of astroturf about them, it probably has to do the Soros funding. We can wait and see, but I would bet my left nut that there is no 'conservative' machinations involved with the actions of the BLM activists.
I don't think we'll know anything concrete about Bernie Saunders until the Caucus in Iowa. That's some time away and a year in politics is a lifetime. Hillary isn't a great candidate, but may be the best candidate to beat a Republican come November 2016. I suspect Black Lives Matter will gain momentum. While I was listening to Morning Edition today, Cokie Roberts surmised that Black Lives Matter also already counted out Republicans and going after the Democrats by keeping them on the coals in hope something will be done by them. Again, we'll have to wait and see. Bernie Saunders as made an effort by hiring a black publicist for his campaign.
ReplyDeleteI don't find Trump as interesting as those who are willing to follow and support him. He's walking reality show and says anything that gives him airtime. It's great free press that he's receiving. It reminds me of the movie "A Face in the Crowd" with Andy Griffith playing the character Larry "Lonesome" Rhodes who no more cared about his followers/fans than the folks he ridiculed for their benefit. Trump's followers believe that they are just like him, a regular guy. Trump isn't a regular guy as he does not own a home in the suburbs, drives his children to school, and attend PTA meetings; but think it's fascinating how he got his fan to believe it.
Uncle Bernie is inept and has been MIA on Black issues for decades ..Clearly we are an afterthought and check list item at best for this old fart

You are the one playing their game, by their rules, and they keep the score.
Cut through the bullshit. Play your own game.

ReplyDeleteFor that to happen the things you say would have to make some kind of sense.
I can never, ever, recall you ever scoring a single point in all your lame-ass attempts at debating. Never once.
I genuinely feel sorry for you though, Bill.
You're a sad, lonely fuck.
I wouldn't change my life for yours for all the tea in China.
How about for all the dick in China?
ReplyDeleteArr da dick in China ... mee rikey!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Bern, for getting me straight on Bernie Sanders' name. However, there's no harm in listening or reading different perspectives. I'm not the kind of voter who votes because someone told me to do. I will say this, it's too early to say because none of the candidates have a detailed policy of how they intend run the country. That's part of the problem is we are watching a clown show and yet barely of any of substance to inform the public. At this moment, anyone of these candidates could win on any given Sunday. So while you make a comment of me of voting for who the nice lady says, I wonder if you can tell me with your great intellect, powerful analytical skills, and concisely articulate how to you conclude to vote for any of these candidates because on the policies that set forth. We are waiting with great anticipation of how you will vote.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget to have a wonderful evening!

WTF does having a detailed policy of how they intend run the country matter? It's all a bunch of lies anyway.
Obama ran on being opposed to gay marriage, for keeping "don't ask, don't tell" in place for the military, for reducing corporate welfare, and against letting Iran get nuclear weapons. He meant none of it.
He said you could keep your doctor if you wanted to, but you can't. He said no one making under $250,000 would see their taxes rise, but they did. He said he wouldn't rest until America got back to work, but rest he did.
None of it matters. The people who voted for him still love him, and the people who didn't still hate him.
The reason Trump gets so much support is that people respond to bigger themes and forget the detailed policies. With Obama it was a vague promise of "Change" in the midst of a confusing financial crisis. With Trump, it's the existential threat of displacement via mass immigration. This appeals to both black and white, who are watching both parties facilitate massive demographic change against the wishes of the citizenry. Trump is a buffoon, but he is the only candidate who acts like America is a real country.

In your case, it doesn't have to make any sense. You have proven over and over again that you are controlled by Bill's words. It's as if you go into a trance...ding, ding.
Yet, you can't see it. My oh my, how blind art thou!
You are an embarrassment to the black race.

ReplyDeleteThere is harm if you are a troll.
Sheri,I appreciate your effort in trying to have a meaningful and sincere discussion, but trolls just don't do meaningful and sincere discussions.
Thanks, Field. I know that he or she couldn't answer my question. Not to mention settling on a candidate who the person considers a buffoon yet doesn't have the conscience and fortitude to go with his convictions. In a way, I feel sorry for a person who doesn't think of him/herself enough to ask for better. It's like being a relationship with someone that you know it's over but doesn't haven't enough self-esteem to leave. Then my other thought is that I like the term intellectual midget as it aptly describes trolls. A 100 points for the person who knows that coined that phrase. I think I've met my insult quota for the day, and work order on being nicer.
ReplyDeleteJeb Bush stole our votes and it caused a million and a half deaths.
ReplyDeleteAre we sure Purple Cow and Bill aren't the same person? Sort of a Jekyll and Hyde thing?
ReplyDeleteLimpbaugh is insane.

We'd prefer you worked on being smarter, but that's probably asking too much.
"Name one."
ReplyDeleteYou.
"but I would bet my left nut that there is no 'conservative' machinations involved with the actions of the BLM activists."
ReplyDeleteLet's just see. Their group in Seattle just started last Saturday and the one lady was a Palin supporter. That has to spark a blip on the BS detector no?
PilotX is a paranoid nut case who believes Sarah Palin is monitoring his thoughts.
ReplyDeleteGo figure.
