Open thread Friday.

MORE DISCLAIMERS It's open thread Friday, so give me your thoughts on Ted Cruz and his alleged affairs, and who you think is behind the NE story.

38 comments:

  1. Probably in need of an earlier bedtime, totally forgetting "NE" is abbreviated for National Enquirer.

    One word... "SERIOUSLY"!!!

Since when is "NE" a credible source?

Have not read the story; nor was I aware. However, if true, Ted Cruz is not the first or the last following his own brand of evangelism.

First and last, who has such low self-esteem that they'd fuck ted crazyass? I can't believe he has a wife, much less she found his body and mind attractive enough to fuck him enough to have kids with him.

    I refuse to believe it!

Ugh! Who the h*** is going to actually be with that one?

Only for money! And of course there are women who will be with anyone for the right amount.

But that's not called "mistresses" that's called prostitutes :) Or to coin a euphemism widely used nowadays "sex workers" :)

Hahaha! Poor Ted, he's 'screwed' pun intended! ahahahaha!

  5. IDGAF about Cruz. I just want to know: How many of you would consider Cruz a "white" Hispanic? lol Dude looks pretty dark on the "Hispanic" side of the aisle to me. And if so, what is it? Because he's a Republican? If Ted Cruz were Obama's biggest cheerleader and part of some Democratic coalition to elect Hillary, he'd still be a "white" Hispanic? (Rhetorical question, obviously. He'd be used as just "Hispanic" and an example of the Democrats' diversity. Given that he's a conservative Republican, though, he's just another white guy.)

As far as people's affairs go, I really couldn't care less. I don't know if it's religion or something else, but I'd say the overwhelming majority of people force themselves to live through this delusion that homo sapiens are monogamous mating creatures. We're not! Holy shit!

Do you know how it used to be per-civilization when we were migrating out of Africa? Women would literally have half a dozen sexual partners, and as many babies as possible. This actually strengthened the tribes because more men cared about the protection of the women and children. It wasn't until the great religious hoax came along that alleged gods started commanding women to obey men, to remain virgins until marriage, and to honor that marriage. Prior to that, men had no control over women; women controlled men. All through human evolution, women were far and away the more valuable gender/sex, whereas men were replaceable hunters/protectors. We men then moved to subjugate women through fear, and now most of America has this prudish, anti-evolutionist attitude that says people are flatly supposed to be monogamous.

No. We're not. We're animals. We fuck like animals. Relationships are so incredibly damaging to the psyche when we break up because we are NOT supposed to have these relationships! These relationships run counter to the way we evolved. They are socially constructed. We force ourselves into feelings that are antithetical to our evolution and survival. And then we get fucked up for life when those feelings are broken. MUH FEELS!

Be the ape you are, Cruz, and fuck 'em all!

  6. Is tricky Trump really trying to speak on someone else's affairs? The gag order prevents his first ex wife and his ho' turned housewife from slamming his ass in the press.

Did you all watch the video of the school brawl the other day in Georgia? Wow - fucking wow. No other word describes it. Africanus-Americanus in its natural habitat, in all its primitive glory.

You all are losing your shit big-time, and it's a splendor to behold. Bravo!

    p.s. - TRUMP '16!

The only "affair" I care about is Cruz's birthplace. He's a Canadian for goodness sake who left his own country for greener pastures.

I was going to read the Ted Cruz story while I was waiting in the line at the grocery store. But come on. Who could believe someone would have sex with Ted Cruz? I read the article about Madonna having an alien's baby instead.

  15. @Rielle Hunter 11:55pm Post: I stand corrected indeed per Gawker as well.

"The National Enquirer Has Been Right Before"

    http://gawker.com/the-national-enquirer-has-been-right-before-1767130028

As Senior writer, Mr. Sam Biddle, at gawker.com, points out "It's easy to dismiss today’s National Enquirer story about the alleged secret, highly active extramarital sex life of Ted Cruz, because, hey, it’s just some crappy tabloid that makes up all of its stories, right? And it’s true: They’ve printed a lot of fantasy and nonsense. But on some stories—including some huge ones—the Enquirer has been very right."

After noting several famed stories featured first in the Enquirer that turned out to be true, Mr. Biddle concludes his piece as follows:

"But don’t count them out based solely on some snobbish journalism oath. The National Enquirer is always extremely wrong and full of shit until they’re extremely right."

If Sen. Ted Cruz's candidacy ends up being in the same boat as former Sen. John Edwards, this will be due to "Enquiring Minds" bringing the reports to fruition.

By the way, mea culpa, Mr. Fields :-)

  18. Don't care about affairs, but why must the people who preach the most against having them always be the ones getting their freak on in secret?

Still, I can't see anyone in their right mind getting down with Ted. Or the orange one for that matter. At least he has money to pay his jump -offs.

The Enquirer also reported that Justice Scalia was murdered by a hooker he was banging. (He was actually "murdered" by old age and obesity. Come on, people, is it that hard to believe?) Most trusted news source!

I'm going with the most likely explanation that this is sleaze generated by the Trump campaign -- particularly since, immediately before this story broke, Trump and Cruz were trash-talking each other's wives (the Republican Party is garbage, and that's just how they roll) and threatening to release dirt about each other. Kind of a major giveaway.

It isn't even particularly fun to pretend this story is true. Nobody wants to have to think about Ted "Prince of Darkness" Cruz having sex.

If I'm walking alone and pass a black dude walking alone, I make eye contact do the nod with him. (I'm white). To me it is a sign of respect to acknowledge someone's presence. Some white guys I pass do it too, but not all. Black guys always. A white guy might say something, but but with black guys it's usually silent, might get a "hey".

Women of any color get a smile and perhaps a "good morning" if they make eye contact.

    No.

Several news organizations have had this story for a while now. Breitbart spiked it because of internal disagreements as to whether or not it should be published. The allegations are very likely true, as evidenced by Cruz's failure to outright deny them and instead try to blame "sleazy Trump tactics". He's a smart Republican, who has adopted the tried and true Democrat tactic of denying everything and never apologizing. Once you apologize, they will shred you. If he can avoid a Jimmy Swaggert moment, this won't end him, but it will hurt.

  25. Has anyone else noticed that while most Wypipo "get excited" about terrorist acts around the world, Blacks in America barely bat an eyelash because we've lived in a terrorist state in America since slavery?

Blacks in America barely bat an eyelash because...

...they consider terrorist attacks on America as attacks on White America, and at some level identify with America's enemies.

Yisheng lives in a "terrorist state" that has terrorized her by funding her 40-year quest to be a doctor.

Is there a more deluded person on the planet? A more despicably ungrateful recipient of undeserved entitlement? A person less charitable to those less fortunate? Someone who is more of a just generally awful person?

    I think not.

I could care less where a candidate's dick or vagina has been.

I do want to listen to a speaker or say what I want without fear of 'protesters' beating, threatening, or killing me for disagreeing with the majority: the far left.

This country was founded on tolerance.

    That is no longer true.

  31. Sex scandals hurt some people. I don't think this is going to hurt Ted Cruz much. He was such a conservative monster to begin with that this actually humanizes him a little.

Sadly, it's the same old Republican hypocrisy- Do as I say, not as I do. Not to mention his posturing over his wife, while chivalrous, is part of the same posturing that elevates the slightest insult to any white woman as a matter to be dealt with.

Meanwhile black women can be shoved around publicly in a crowd of screaming, jeering white people and not a single man, or more importantly, no law enforcement or court, takes up our cause or even recognizes the insult and literal injury done to us, not just as activists or humans but as women to be cared about.

The message is clear- words spoken about white women are worthy of serious attention while actual violence to black women caught on camera is not only unworthy of notice but deserved. Much has been made over finding and prosecuting the assaulter who punched the black man at a Trump rally. There was no similar call by any man, media or law enforcement anywhere to find and punish the man who physically shoved that young woman for the crime of being black in public in a space declared White Only.
