  3. Sexism is just another charge in a whole list of charges leveled at Trump. As Trump bellows that he wishes to "make America great again," he summarily destroyed objects of the past, pieces of Americana, works of art, without giving due regard to their value to posterity, confirming, once again, his contempt for the past as well as those things which stood for America's greatness.

"Trump’s name—not to mention his physical presence—is an unfamiliar sight in the city’s major cultural institutions. Wealthy public figures often fall into cultural patronage if for nothing else than the tax break. But since the beginning of his career, Trump has been, at best, apathetic to the arts in New York, and elsewhere. His first media spectacle, in 1980, focused on the then-33-year-old developer destroying a pair of Art Deco reliefs that were part of the facade of the Bonwit Teller Building in midtown Manhattan, which Trump tore down to build his Trump Tower. The Metropolitan Museum of Art wanted the reliefs for its collection, as the Washington Post recalled in a bit of retrospective reporting recently, and Trump agreed to donate them, if the cost of their removal wasn’t prohibitive. It wasn’t, but Trump’s construction crew destroyed the works anyway."

If Trump is for things like workplace rights and knows enough to not walk up on the Chancellor of Germany from behind and start giving her a massage, the alleged sexism isn't important to me. I saw a lady on Faux News last night who said the New York Times took her interview about Trump way out of context to make it fit their sexism theme. I don't know if that was true or if Trump paid her to say it. Hillary can't say anything about it. Trump will bring up Monica Lewinsky. There are also reports that Hillary systematically retaliated against Bill's girlfriends. That would be a big problem if it is true. Things like using the IRS in personal vendettas would be worse than anything Trump said as a private citizen. I don't think any of the charges are particularly well substantiated or overly important in the larger scheme of things. Trump is a racist who considers John Bolton a good adviser . Hillary sends your kids to die for her's and the Clinton Foundation's donors, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Wall Street.

Actually she very much CAN say something about Trump's sexist, misogynist ass because SHE didn't screw Monica Lewinsky. And we ALL KNOW Trump screwed Marla Maples while HE was married to his first wife. SO why she hasn't "gone there" is beyond crazy to me!!

You know, I have to give it to you so called liberal men, you "circle the penis'" with Rethugs like no ones business!!! And I suppose this is exactly why men will ALWAYS hold the majority of leadership positions.

Defending her marriage against all enemies, wow now THERE"S a new concept, insert rolling eyes. "Checking" side pieces is NOT a crime, if you screw someone's husband, you deal with the consequences!!!

Ya' know, I can't think of ONE woman who if they decided to stick it out through this BS, wouldn't do the same if they could. Unfortunately, the song Bb*tches ain't loyal" is so d@mn true especially when it comes to powerful men!!

Whether or not Butt Trumpet is sexist I will leave to women to decide. But just the fact that this is a topic of conversation at all confers an implied strength on the male candidate and weakness on the female candidate. Demure responses such as Clinton "I won't respond to his bullying" (translation "If I close my eyes you can't see me") and Warren "Goofy is that the best you can do" (translation "sticks and stones") are weak and defensive and cede control of the conversation, and as such just feed into that frenzy. She could regain control by simply dismissing him as a bloviating blowhard loudmouth punk and then moving on to other things. But apparently Clinton does not want to control the conversation, or even have one, preferring instead to play rope a dope and let Butt Trumpet punch himself out. It remains to be seen how well that will work out for her.

I think the NYTimes 'sexism' piece helped Trump. Any press is good press and his supporters don't trust leftist Times' reporting. These charges of 'sexism' won't hurt him.

The presidential debates will make or break both candidates for undecided voters like me. Hillary is a terrible off the cuff speaker, has an awful voice, and tons of baggage. Trump has been very weak on policy specifics and will look foolish if he continues to babble sound bites. Trump will try and push Clinton's buttons. It should be very entertaining.

I like someone's suggestion that Hillary talk about her goals and let her posse deal with "the vulgar talking yam." Posse being Bill, Elizabeth and Barack, all pretty good with a barb. Others with smaller podiums welcome too--if the barbs are sharp enough they'll get press time as well.

anotherbozo, if you really think attacks by Warren, Bill or Obama will hurt Trump in the election you are mistaken. The more they attack him, the more popular Donald gets.

@11:03 I'm just trying to figure out where all these whooteemoos are coming from. Trump must be given out free double wides and overalls on the down low.

Not sure what a whooteewhatever is, but based on the rest of your post I bet you are making a elitist slur deeming others in a lower social status than you not worthy of a vote in this election. Do you also support poll taxes?

People who in the past were unlikely to participate in the election process are voting for the first time this election cycle. Isn't an increase in voter participation a good thing?

Not talking about attacks generally but ridicule, mockery. They worked for Trump himself, after all: "little Marco," "low-energy Jeb," etc. Jokes catch on, catchy labels. Hard-core Trump voters won't be affected by mocking the demagogic dickhead, but "undecideds" will be. And he would need them to win.

OTOH, if he tags Kim Kardashian as his VP, there'll be no stopping him.

  15. anon@11:03: That worked in the primary, but the general is a different animal. He can't win with only the Republican base, even augmented with the racist/nativist faction he's trying to attract, as they are all pretty much Republicans already.

  16. Whether or not Butt Trumpet is sexist doesn't take away from the fact he has a nice ass. That fact alone is enough to get me to vote for him. Maybe i can get him to come on my show. Here's my website-enjoy all!

"The dance will continue and the American people will continue to get suckered by one of the greatest cons in the history of American business."

The American people have been dancing with one of the greatest cons in the history of American politics, Obama.

So why not dance with Trump?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Because Obama was a better dancer. And if u are a woman he (trump) might reach around and grab your butt.

You're making improvements: You recognize that, like you, we're "people." And second, that "the blacks" are as "done with you," "the whites," as you are with them, perhaps to a larger extent.

Thanks for moving on, and doing so in the same way that you invited yourself, of your own volition.

Couldn't care less about Trump. But whose mouth doesn't water at the thought of giving Ted Cruz a blumpkin or Rick Perry a rusty trombone?
