Folks are going crazy on twitter over Donald trump's former butler calling for the killing of the president, and rightfully so. But let's be honest, isn't this just another day in wingnut America? I mean all those people do is daydream about killing the president and doing unspeakable things to his family. (*Their words, not mine.) Just check out the comments section in one of those FOX News websites and you will get an idea of what I am talking about. Heck, check out some of the comments from some of the resident loons right here on this site.
"Anthony Senecal, who worked as a butler to the presumptive GOP presidential nominee for 17 years, until 2009, wrote in a recent Facebook post that Obama should be shot by the military as an “enemy agent.”
"To all my friends on FB, just a short note to you on our pus headed "president" !!!! This character who I refer to as zero (0) should have been taken out by our military and shot as an enemy agent in his first term !!!!!" Senecal said in a Facebook post, according to Mother Jones.
"Instead he still remains in office doing every thing he can to gut the America we all know and love !!!!!"
Wow! Birds of a feather do flock together.
And to think, he posted this on facebook no less. No wonder facebook is trying to limit conservative thought. There is no thought. All they want to do is kill folks.
So that's all bad, but it's to be expected. I think folks are missing the real irony in this story: Donald trump, a real man of the working class, and poor working class whites everywhere; has a freaking "butler". A butler! Look, I am sure the guy has enough loot to afford one. (At least I think he does. Let's see the taxes , Donald.) And I am quite sure that his homes are large enough. But the thought of a butler running behind this newly crowned man of the people is hilarious.
I looked up the definition of butler in Wiki, and this is what I came up with:
"A butler is a domestic worker in a large household. In great houses, the household is sometimes divided into departments with the butler in charge of the dining room, wine cellar, and pantry. Some also have charge of the entire parlour floor, and housekeepers caring for the entire house and its appearance.[1] A butler is usually male,[2] and in charge of male servants, while a housekeeper is usually a woman, and in charge of female servants. Traditionally, male servants (such as footmen) were rarer and therefore better paid and of higher status than female servants. The butler, as the senior male servant, has the highest servant status. He can also be sometimes used as a chauffeur.
In older houses where the butler is the most senior worker, titles such as majordomo, butler administrator, house manager, manservant, staff manager, chief of staff, staff captain, estate manager and head of household staff are sometimes given. The precise duties of the employee will vary to some extent in line with the title given, but perhaps, more importantly in line with the requirements of the individual employer. In the grandest homes or when the employer owns more than one residence, there is sometimes an estate manager of higher rank than the butler.
Nice.
The guy blames Obama for all his troubles. Maybe he wanted trump to promote him to "estate manager" and he couldn't cut it. Although I am sure that it takes a special kind of butler to service Donald and the family. Heck just bringing up Donald's hair products every morning must be exhausting. Not to mention having to constantly clean all the mirrors in the house.

ReplyDeleteThe thought that Trump has any concern whatsoever for average people is what's laughable.
Epic con artist and charlatan.
Delve into his policies, such as they are, and there's very little of benefit to average people. There's one or two genuine ideas on trade (not that the obnoxious boob could actually negotiate them, if he were president; he'd most likely start either a trade war or a shooting war). And after that, it's all giveaways to the rich or fantastical wingnut ideological nonsense.
Of course, his supporters won't "delve." They won't look at any of his terrible policy ideas in depth, because they're dopes. They heard his "I'm gonna get the bad guys" speeches, and that's good enough for them.
Hillary has a personal chef and she hasn't driven herself since the 1990's. Not quite the representative of the common man either, is it?
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for increasing your type size. I had a really hard time reading your blog before, especially late at night.
ReplyDelete"The guy blames Obama for all his troubles."
ReplyDeleteFN poll:
Is blaming others for our "troubles" acceptable if we are white: never, sometimes, most of the time, all the time?
Is blaming others for our "troubles" acceptable if we are black: yes, yes, or yes, hell yes.
This guy called for the carpet bombing of an American city and then says that the president should hang for treason? Not too strong of an example for Trump's claim that he surrounds himself with "the greatest people."

"This guy called for the carpet bombing of an American city and then says that the president should hang for treason? Not too strong of an example for Trump's claim that he surrounds himself with 'the greatest people.'"
ReplyDeleteHe surrounds himself with the likes of Roger Stone, former Nixon "ratfucker" and white supremacists.
In other words, the diametrical opposite of the greatest people.
Unfortunately, just another day in the U.S. of A.
ReplyDeleteOops. I just pooped in my pants. Hey Yisheng, will you come lick it up for me? I know you're into that kind of shit.
ReplyDeleteSo Trump had a racist neanderthal as a butler...... nothing to see here folks, nothing to see!
ReplyDeleteCongrats. You seem to have Nazi Don's insult writer trolling you. Up past his bedtime too.
DeleteThat was an insult? I just figured some pimple pus faced middle schooler was up late watching his father's gay porn videos and got bored.
Delete@TMoT: Exactly, and for a long long time:

Salon is 90% garbage fire, but this was a good article. Cohn should be turned into Trump's running mate, his Jeremiah Wright. Let him try to explain why he had a mob attorney disbarred for racketeering
DeleteEvery interview for a month or so.
Are Trump supporters or Hillary supporters worse? I go with Trump supporters, but Hillary supporters aren't far behind.
ReplyDeleteI thought that Butlers were supposed to wear evening livery, not robes & hoods. Anyone else wonder how many mid 70 something white men are going back & scrubbing their social media pages so they don't end up investigated by the Secret Service?

ReplyDeleteRoy Cohn died in 1986 so the Donald will have to look elsewhere for a VP.
Where was field when the left was calling for the killing of Bush?
ReplyDeleteWithout double standards, the left would have no standards at all.
"Hillary has a personal chef and she hasn't driven herself since the 1990's. Not quite the representative of the common man either, is it?"
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Hillary stories are the ones concerning the Clinton White House. There were standing orders that WH staff were not allowed to look at her and had to either face the wall or duck into an office when she went down a hall. Seriously, she's crazy as a shithouse rat.
No doubt the largest oppositions research effort in history is going on for The Donald. Anyone who is involved in large scale urban building projects is bound to have a past, it's the nature of the beast.
In an era when it's impossible to forget anything, and permanent records are scattered about for anyone to dig through, we'll probably all have to get hardened to the fact that public figures are simply not squeaky clean. In fact, the few truly pure politicians are perhaps the scariest kind.
You can argue that the US system of government simply hasn't kept up with it's underlying size. Back when the total cost of .gov was only 7% of GDP (a bit over 100 years ago), you could get away with more malfeasance, now at pushing 50% it's a much bigger deal.
Great post, field. Why isn't this butler on Yahoo's home page? I see the NY Times, Time Magazine and Mother Jones all know about him, though. Will share your post with friends.
ReplyDeleteIf you were connected to a Presidential nominee, wouldn't you tone down the crazy for a few months?
ReplyDelete@Nasreen, not if you're an old White fart that has lived an entitled life for decades. Trump is exhibit A for what white male entitlement and privilege looks like given the gargantuan numbers of people he's disrespected and insulted throughout his life and presidential campaign.
ReplyDeleteThat male whooteemoos support Trump in record numbers is simple their fruitless attempt to live vicariously through him knowing good and hot damn well, 10 lifetimes wouldn't be enough to change a damn thing in their pittyful lives.

ReplyDeleteJust a correction on a "statistic" referenced above. Total Government spending as a % of GDP was 34% in 2015. Source: www.usgovernmentspending.com. 100 years ago, we had a wimpy army, no social security, no medicare, limited universal education, low college attendance, and even worse infrastructure than we have today. We spend less as a % of GDP than most of the world's top 20 economies. All of the top 20 economies in the world are highly regulated, socialist economies.
Nasreen, not when u have O derangement syndrome.

ReplyDeleteIs he in jail? There is a chick in Ga who has been in jail since 2015 for suggesting that cops should be shot and killed... #whiteprivilege
ReplyDeleteAny white person who denies white privilege is full of shit and shouldn't be taken seriously.
ReplyDeleteNo, he is not in jail, but maybe he should be.
ReplyDeleteGrandpa had a Facebook page? Wow.
