Donald makes his pitch to "the blacks".

Image result for trump african american imageI think we are in the place with the trump campaign where he is supposed to be reaching out to black people. When you are polling at 2% among black folks nationwide you have to do something.

What trump did, though, was so clueless and out of touch that it's almost laughable.

I guess we shouldn't expect the man who questioned the legitimacy of the first African American president, and who refused to rent or sell his buildings to people of color to know any better. But someone should really tell Donald that he can'to just go lumping al black people together as a monolith. There is so much more to "the blacks" than ghettos, unemployment, and poverty. But Donald, bless his heart, just doesn't get it.

Middle class blacks,  have the same concerns as middle class whites, and they want the same things that they do: Good schools, proper government services, to be kept safe from foreign and domestic terror, and make sure that their tax dollars are going to the right places.

Sadly, in Donald's world, all we want are handouts.

"Donald Trump faces a number of challenges in his quest to win the presidency. One is his stunning unpopularity with African-American voters.

A recent poll found that Trump trailed Hillary Clinton among African-American by a margin of 92–2. Polls the key states of Ohio and Pennsylvania, found that Trump attracted zero percent of the black vote. (Even Mitt Romney, running against the first African-American president, managed to get 6%.)
Speaking in Michigan, Trump offered a blunt appeal to African-American voters: “You’re living in poverty. Your schools are no good. You have no jobs. 58% of your youth in unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?”
His message was not well received. Of course, many blacks — like many other Americans — face challenges. But Trump lumped all blacks together into a single, monolithic, desperate group.
The black poverty rate is too high but most blacks, more than 72%, do not live in poverty. The black unemployment rate is too high but 92% of blacks in the labor force have jobs.
His appeal ignored the community’s diversity and relied on perpetuating negative stereotypes."[Source]
His appeal will fall on deaf ears. Because one thing I do know about black folks, is that we can spot a fraud a mile away.

During the spring and early summer I was a bit worried that there was actually a chance Trump could win. Now I'm positive he'll lose in November. You can't win from courting primarily the angry white male vote. What an idiot and a loser. Same with his sorry supporters.

"Middle class blacks, have the same concerns as middle class whites,"

    No they don't.

Middle class whites want to stop being hated and punished for their race. They want blacks to stop being angry and start getting along with everyone else. They can't understand why, the more they give them, the angrier blacks get.

Middle class black want all the white people to die so they can get their stuff.

Blacks with a brain and some balls will vote for Trump.

The rest will do as they are told and vote for Hillary.

  8. Trump wasn't speaking to black people. He knows he'll never get them to vote for him. He was speaking to suburban white people who are horrified by his racism and bigotry. He thinks that if he can fool enough of them into believing that he gives a rat's ass about people of color, he might be able to peel off enough of their votes to win.
He can't, and he won't. The numbers just are not there.
He also risks damaging the Republican party for generations with the fastest growing demographics in the country. Those people he has insulted so publicly aren't stupid, and they won't forget about it any time soon. And if you think the demographics are daunting for right wingers now, just wait until the next election. And the one after that.
California hasn't elected a Republican to statewide office in a long time, but we used to quite a bit. Then, in the '90s, the Republicans passed a ballot initiative called proposition 187, a harsh anti-immigrant law that was ruled unconstitutional in court. We have a large and growing immigrant population, and they remember what happened. So now California is all Democratic, and reliably so.
Basically, randomly enraging large and growing groups of citizens is a dumb strategy for winning a popularity contest.
I don't believe Trump is stupid. I think he knew what he was doing giving that speech "to African Americans" in a room full of white people in a 95% white community. Racism and nativism are strong forces in various parts of the country, but not stronger than demographics and plain old math.

Just as clueless as The Donald. I don't want a gotdamned thing from anybody, I have my own shit and it is quite nice. I'm not angry, ok maybe a little upset at the US man's 4x100 relay team but I should be alright by tomorrow. Jeezus, can we not get stereotyped for one night? Good god.

Good stuff Doug. Also, his first commercial contains material from the Center for Immigration Studies. What is that? Funny, it's an anti immigration group run by a known white supremacist who has earlier ties to The Donald so that dog whistle is a blowing.

People who watch the establishment media and don't research things for themselves are Pavlov dogs who will believe anything they are told to believe. Did they see through the Democratic party's nomination fraud? How about the Clinton Foundation deals for donors? With all of the talk about Russia, you'd think the sale of uranium to Russia that Clinton approved after some big donations and a $500,000 speech by Bill in Moscow, would have gotten some coverage. Some of the deals were weapons sales. Saudi Arabia was one of the big donors that got weapons. How much do Clinton supporters know about the Saudis financing the 9/11 attack? Were the donations blood money from short selling of airline stocks? The government told us they weren't going to tell us who placed the shorts. Could it have been Goldman Sachs? Even if Clinton supporters believe burning carpet caused a skyscrapper to uniformly collapse at the speed of gravity, they should want an independent investigation to see what architectural improvements could be implemented and how long it is safe for firefighters to stay in a burning buildings, etc. But Clinton supporter Bill de Blasio blocked an independent investigation. He said it would be a waste of money. It is bad enough to believe that there was no debris in Shanksville because the plane sunk into a mining hole, and that a 757 disappeared through a garage door sized hole in the Pentagon, but the road runner cartoon physics they told you about Building 7 is ridiculous. Of course the elite who want war support Clinton. They and the willfully ignorant tell you to vote for Clinton. Look in to her support of thee mercenary jihadists who became ISIS I would like a media that tells us what is bad about trump and Clinton, but our media is war propagandists.

    1. Okay interesting post but Debbie Wasserman Schultz wasn't the only Democrat who preferred Hilllary over Bernie; she won a majority of primary votes and delegates so deal with it.

Nations have been cutting deals to sell weapons for centuries, if you're so riled up about political insiders using their influence to take advantage of their contacts to cut deals that fuel the military industrial complex then vent your rage on Dick Cheney who helped funnel TRILLIONS of our tax dollars into a failed war In Iraq that killed thousands of Americans and hundreds of thousands of people in the Middle East.

Thousands of Americans have been reaping profit from the fall of the Soviet Union for years, and check your facts, the U.S. govt has been paying Russia for years to help keep track of and dispose of the massive amounts of nuclear weapons and material that the failed Soviet state didn't have the money, resources or technical ability to properly handle - I'd say that's a lot cheaper than letting nuclear material fall into the hands of some corrupt nut bag in a Third World nation who just wants to watch the world burn.

What hell does Bill Clinton being paid $500,000 for speech in Moscow have to do with the 2016 presidential race? Do you have any idea how many Americans have made money off speeches and consulting fees in Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union?

Respectfully your baseless inuendo linking the Clintons to 9/11 is hogwash. Read up on the Bush family's long relationship with the Saudi royal family. I was living in Manhattan on September 11, 2001 and your insinuation that "Clinton supporters" were somehow linked with some kind of intricate plan to reap financial profit off of the deadliest terrorist attack in U.S history reflects the trove of loony fringe concocted theories about 9/11 rather than anything established by evidence or facts.

Please don't insult the lives of the people who died in the plane crashes in Washington and Pennsylvania on 9/11 by making baseless suggestions that their deaths were the result of anything other than well trained terrorists who took advantage of serious gaps in airline security and safety procedures to kill innocent people in the name of a perverted interpretation of Islam.

If you want to speculate on the complexities of the forensic evidence of the plane crash sites, fine. But don't present speculative theory unproven by concrete evidence to support the ongoing conservative efforts to demonize Hillary as some kind of monster.

The Koch brothers and the Sheldon Adelsons who bankroll that kind of industrial character assassination wrote the book on real corruption. Again, I respect your right to have your say and you do raise some interesting questions in your post, but what you wrote has nothing to do with the fact that Donald Trump is an incompetent lying racist egomaniac whose childlike grasp of domestic and international issues makes him totally unfit for any kind of elected office, let alone the leader of the free world.

No, I don't. Maybe you could tell us how many senior government officials have been directly paid by Russian interests involved in deals brokered by the offices they or their spouse held?

How many senior government officials have multi-billion dollar foundations that receive the majority of their donations from foreign governments and business interests who benefit from decisions made by those same government officials?

    ---

You do know the foundation disperses very little funds and when it does it is typically in concert with influence peddling efforts, right?

The Clinton Foundation took in more than $140 million in grants and pledges in 2013 but spent just $9 million on direct aid.

The vast bulk of its payouts are for administration, travel, and salaries and bonuses, with the fattest payouts going to family friends. All of the family expenses - their personal staffs, office expenses, travel etc. are paid for by the Foundation. In all, $84.6 million in 2013.

Charity Navigator, which rates nonprofits, recently refused to rate the Clinton Foundation because its “atypical business model . . . doesn’t meet our criteria.”

Charity Navigator put the foundation on its “watch list,” which warns potential donors about investing in problematic charities. The 23 charities on the list include the Rev. Al Sharpton’s troubled National Action Network, which is cited for failing to pay payroll taxes for several years.

“It seems like the Clinton Foundation operates as a slush fund for the Clintons,” said Bill Allison, a senior fellow at the Sunlight Foundation, a government watchdog group where progressive Democrat and Fordham Law professor Zephyr Teachout was once an organizing director.

That's because the pledges, the overwhelming majority of the money you refer to, is never in the possession on the Foundation, but given as PLEDGED to the cause or issue without any bureaucratic costs or fees taken out. That way more of the resources pledged get to the actual job at hand and less are wasted on book keeping and staffing that have nothing to do with helping people. But go ahead and keep reading Breitbart for your info, if you're a good enough little moron you might even make some money out of it as I hear they are going to be YUUUUGE next year...

There are many, many ways that I see that should be criticized, such as a women earning 2 million dollars just to have her "butt" photographed.

I wonder what will happen if Lochne was Black, A 32 years old tail man is not a "boy- just doing some pranks. Where is Mr. Trump putting that situation in "Trump's world view" in "law and order"? I am aware that these transgressions was misdemeanor but he should be charged- because a crime DID happen.

No, NBA players make bank because they have a skill that is worth a lot of money. They are paid by a private for-profit entity for their services under the terms of a legal conntract.

The Clintons are abusing the power of their office to profit personally. That is a crime.

It's like if you ran a hospital, and you only let people get in who paid you a cash bribe. You only let doctors work there who paid you personally to get a spot. You only bought drugs from companies that gave you a personal kickback. That's the Clintons.
