Ali isn't complaining because he was merely asked what religion he practiced by an agent. He's pissed off because, based solely on being Muslim, he was removed from the security line, and rudely interrogated by CBP for a couple hours and asked all kinds of questions implying he had sinister intentions for the country.

I have flown with weapons for many, many years. Had to go through all the "check-outs", open my weapons cases, and had to answer the old questions, sign the old stuff....but I was NEVER asked what religion I adhered to.
