OPEN THREAD WEDNESDAY.

MORE DISCLAIMERS Wassup field hands?

I need you to tell us what's on your mind tonight.

Personally, I am thinking about North Korea and just how long it will be before they will have the ability to drop a nuke on the West Coast of America. My  dear sister lives in Seattle, Washington, so this new develpment is particularly problematic for me.

Former president Obama tried to warn Mr. trump about North Korea, but he was too busy worrying about crowd sizes and his Russian bank accounts to care.

The thing is that trump and his minions really believed that his you're fired shtick would work with the North Koreans; they are starting to find out now just how naïve their leader was when it comes to this issue.

Thoughts?

  2. "Former president obama tried to warn President Trump about North Korea, but he was too busy worrying about crowd sizes and his Russian bank accounts to care."

Really? What did Obama ever do regarding North Korea? He had eight years to take some kind of action, but did absolutely nothing. President Trump will have to address this problem, just like all the other messes Obama left behind.

Thank God the adults are back in charge again.

  3. CNN Threatens to Dox Reddit User Who Made Trump Wrestling Gif.

That's right: Andrew Kaczinsky, a Senior Editor for CNN, is blackmailing an American citizen for daring to criticize them.

Kaczynski's insanity was just the latest in CNN's string of horrible decisions related to Trump. Last week, CNN accepted the resignations of three star journalists over their retracted story falsely connecting a Trump associate to a Russian bank. Before that, CNN's parent company helped fund a performance of Julius Caesar, in which a Trump stand-in is assassinated. In the past month, the network retracted another anti-Trump story proved false by James Comey's testimony, fired Kathy Griffin for posing with an effigy of Trump's decapitated head, and censured host Reza Aslan for wishing rape on a Republican congressman. Not to mention the Project Veritas videos catching CNN employees mocking Americans and admitting that the endless Russia allegations are a big nothing-burger.

CNN can chase down the generator of an internet meme in three hours, but can't find a Russia connection in six months?

Once again the actions of the media encourage (and justify) a hundred times more hostility against them than any internet meme ever could.

  4. Hacked computer server that handled DNC email remains out of reach of Russia investigators

It is perhaps the key piece of forensic evidence in Russia’s suspected efforts to sway the November presidential election, but federal investigators have yet to get their hands on the hacked computer server that handled email from the Democratic National Committee.
Indeed, the only cybersecurity specialists who have taken a look at the server are from CrowdStrike, the Irvine, California-based private cybersecurity company that the DNC hired to investigate the hack — but which has come under fire itself for its work.
Some critics say CrowdStrike’s evidence for blaming Russia for the hack is thin. Members of Congress say they still believe Russia was responsible but wonder why the DNC has never allowed federal investigators to get a look at the key piece of evidence: the server. Either way, a key “witness” in the political scandal consuming the Trump administration remains beyond the reach of investigators.

All of that North Korean bravado and Trumps ships etc. are just bravado, to distract the people from the real life issues at hand.

Nothings going to happen, nothing at all, North Korea is too small to do much of anything except posture like a young fighting cock, and the US much too powerful for anyone to be so foolhardy as to threaten it. By the way I heard a bunch of planes going out last few days. So somebodies going to get droned in the next few days fer sure ;D

And Russia and China will all come to that G summit due soon, and they will chit and chat and plan the fate of all of us plebes.

And the beat goes on...la dee da dee da..la dee da dee day. I know youse don't like to here that, but that's the way it's going to be...g'nite, sweet dreams...

  10. My uncle fought in the Korean war, and that was a long time before Obama was president, so you might just as well ask why Truman or Eisenhower didn't do anything about them for all of the good it did.
But like Vietnam, proxy wars don't really decide anything, they mostly just kill a lot of people and fuck up whatever country is unlucky enough to host them badly enough that they end up being run by the crazy Kims or others of their ilk.
With North Korea, McMaster was right, it would be beyond stupid and ugly if we attack them. Hundreds of thousands, maybe millions could be killed by the North's response, as Seoul is 35 miles from the DMZ, and the North has been massing their weapons nearby for some time now.
But stupid and ugly is how president four-year-old rolls, so let's just hope that he doesn't come home from the G20 smarting from having been publicly boned by Putin and feel like he needs to play with the military to compensate.

Clinton and NK had an agreement-NK got 4 billion in aid and they dismantled their nuke capabilities. NK abandoned that deal in 2003 and dumbass dubya did not attempt to engage in talks, just blathering threats like bumbass Drumpfuck.

Drumpfuck is goddamned stoopid he thinks Obama and Clinton had negotiations with the same NK leader.

BTW waht NK policy Drumpuck has shown is identical to Obama's because Drumpfuck is too stoopid to formulate a plan for himself. Just as his ISIS plan is Obama's plan.

  17. Study Finds Temperature Adjustments Account For ‘Nearly All Of The Warming’ In Climate Data
    ...

Climate scientists often apply adjustments to surface temperature thermometers to account for “biases” in the data. The new study doesn’t question the adjustments themselves but notes nearly all of them increase the warming trend.

Basically, “cyclical pattern in the earlier reported data has very nearly been ‘adjusted’ out” of temperature readings taken from weather stations, buoys, ships and other sources.

In fact, almost all the surface temperature warming adjustments cool past temperatures and warm more current records, increasing the warming trend, according to the study’s authors.

“Nearly all of the warming they are now showing are in the adjustments,” Meteorologist Joe D’Aleo, a study co-author, told The Daily Caller News Foundation in an interview. “Each dataset pushed down the 1940s warming and pushed up the current warming.”

“You would think that when you make adjustments you’d sometimes get warming and sometimes get cooling. That’s almost never happened,” said D’Aleo, who co-authored the study with statistician James Wallace and Cato Institute climate scientist Craig Idso.

Their study found measurements “nearly always exhibited a steeper warming linear trend over its entire history,” which was “nearly always accomplished by systematically removing the previously existing cyclical temperature pattern.”

“The conclusive findings of this research are that the three [global average surface temperature] data sets are not a valid representation of reality,” the study found. “In fact, the magnitude of their historical data adjustments, that removed their cyclical temperature patterns, are totally inconsistent with published and credible U.S. and other temperature data.”

Based on these results, the study’s authors claim the science underpinning the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) authority to regulate greenhouse gases “is invalidated.”

  22. As for Susan Rice-(she is no longer in gubmint) Wapo published this- . She lives in Northwest Washington, with her husband, Ian Cameron, a television producer she met while attending Stanford University. Inheritances from Cameron’s and Rice’s families, as well as her own investments, are chiefly responsible for her $20 million-plus net worth, which has drawn attention this week because she holds stocks in Canadian oil companies that could benefit from construction of the Keystone Pipeline, a project that she might have some influence over if she were named secretary of state.

Based on congressional financial disclosure forms and calculations made available by OpenSecrets.org, Rice's net worth as of 2011 was estimated between $27,671,213.00 and $50,623,011.00. That averaged to $39,147,112.00, which ranked fifth among executive branch members.[6]

According to The Washington Post, inheritances from Rice's family and her husband's family, "as well as her own investments, are chiefly responsible for her $20 million-plus net worth."[5]

Threatening her career probably would have been enough, but I guess it worked as far as Lynch squashing the investigation goes.

  33. Pro-open borders activists, George and Amal Clooney, are planning to leave the UK because they don’t feel safe after the recent spate of terror attacks, according to a family insider.

The celebrity power couple have used their fame and fortune to push for open borders and even sat down with Angela Merkel herself to express their support for her refugee policy.

But now it seems, like all luvvies, they don’t actually mean they support it for themselves, so will be moving back to LA because, according to a Clooney family insider, George doesn’t “feel like Amal and the twins are safe living in the English countryside,” following the attacks in London and Manchester – neither of which are in the countryside.

The duo were also criticised for their double standards after the Mayor of Laglio, where the couple own a lavish $100m mansion, warned people they would face a hefty fine if they dared go near the couple’s property.

It has been reported that the Clooney’s plan to sell the 18th-century mansion after a makeshift refugee camp was set up near to the couple’s summer retreat. It isn’t known whether or not the pair were planning on selling before their new neighbours moved in. A source close to them claimed they were looking to buy “another, less accessible property in another area of Italy.”
