Mooch's wife apparently filed for divorce while she was pregnant and allegedly stated his "naked political ambition" for the reason that she wants out.
And finally, to all of you Americans out there, please be careful when you travel. This is especially true if you are heading to an "island paradise". Remember that things aren't always what they seem. Be smart about your surroundings.
A very good blogger I read noticed the Mooch getting divorced for being in love with president four-year-old and suggested he may be forced to "pull a Bannon" and suck his own dick, but I think that if he's really nice and loyal, the president might buy him someone to work that unit for him, just as he did for himself.

One other thing, the Bush tax cuts which accelerated the growth of the national debt as nothing ever had before somehow miraculously stayed in place even though they were set to expire in 2010.

Be that as it may. So the tax base was diminished. Allow me to remind you of the costs of these unfunded wars. At its peak, sometime after Abu Ghraib and around the time of the fall of Fallujah, the war was estimated to cost about $12 billion/month. My belief is that this cost was sustained for at the very least six years for a total estimated cost of something like one trillion dollars just for this period. I live in San Diego. At the time of the Iraq invasion, I was in the unique position of working in a very tony La Jolla retirement community. Long story short, from the solarium on the fifth floor, I could see all of the beaches I walked as a teenager and north as far as Oceanside.
When the big Navy ships depart for the Panama Canal, they actually chug a few miles northwest to La Jolla before they head out west to open ocean.
I shit you not. I saw a Bob Hope class Navy cargo vessel make that left turn, not one mile from my vantage point. But more important than that, I read the article in the SD Union-Tribune in 2003 that described how and with what the Navy and an enormous crew of longshoremen loaded that massive vessel(s) for three days straight before it left the Naval Station North Island. That article is archived, but is not available to current non-subscribers.
It described a flurry of activity and logistical support involved in loading just about every available Bradley fighting vehicle, Humvee, tank, heavy gun and jus about anything else you can conceive of a military needing. This vessel then proceeded south to the Panama Canal and from Central America on to the Persian Gulf. The fuel costs alone of such a voyage is astounding. I'm not entirely certain that it was the only trip. We're talking about shipping at an enormous cost, just about all of the wealth of the U.S. Army that was contained anywhere in the State of California. I would estimate it at about $500 Billion. The worst thing was that all of these stock-piled munitions and supplies were utterly squandered, dwarfing the financial cost of the Viet Nam war.
My personal estimate of the cost of the two wars is somewhere between four and five trillion the last time I was keeping track.

The Great Recession was a product of the Global Financial Crisis, which was brought about by lending $trillions to mostly Blacks and beaners that they had no chance of ever paying back. Steve Sailer accurately calls it the Minority Mortgage Meltdown. Lots of crime syndicates made out like bandits that way, buying homes on credit, having them fraudulently re-appraised for much more, then selling them to patsies who never should have been given a mortgage and walking away with huge wads of cash. When the prices collapsed and the mortgages were foreclosed on, the patsies walked and nobody went after the real crooks: the banksters and advocates of "racial justice", many of whom were the same people.
The people, if you can call them that, who made a lot of money off of the housing bubble (remember W's "ownership society"? He knew it was a bubble, but bet that it wouldn't burst until he was out of office and lost) were the charming fellows who repackaged all of those bogus mortgages and resold them as "mortgaged backed securities", thus obscuring the actual holder of the soon to be flaming paper and making them harder to hold accountable for their malfeasance.
