Mr. trump is using words like "rat" and "dog" to refer to individuals in his tweet these days. Proof positive that the man is feeling cornered and is becoming even more insane with each passing day.
He reminds me of a previous president who had to leave the office in disgrace. You know the one: his quote "I am not a crook" will go down in history as one of the most memorable of all time when t comes to American presidents.
I can't blame trump for being scared and feeling trapped, though. The walls are closing in around him. Now, as it turns out, even the White House attorney is singing like Mariah Carey. And for the record Mr. trump, being a "rat" has nothing to do with it, you are supposed to be running a country not a mob organization.
Now he is accusing Robert Mueller of "McCarthyism". That is a declaration so stunning that had any other president in modern America history said something like that about a sitting special prosecutor it would lead the news for weeks. But not with this clown. This is just another late night twitter meltdown which sadly has become the new normal.
"I have nothing to hide ... and have demanded transparency so that this Rigged and Disgusting Witch Hunt can come to a close," Trump tweeted.
"So many lives have been ruined over nothing - McCarthyism at its WORST!"
In another tweet, he declared: "Study the late Joseph McCarthy, because we are now in period with Mueller and his gang that make Joseph McCarthy look like a baby! Rigged Witch Hunt!"
- 'Desperate' - "
If this is a "witch hunt" they should changed the name from of Washington D.C. to Salem. Because Mr. Mueller has sure caught a lot of witches. Unfortunately the head witch is still in charge and doing more to destroy the country as we know it every day. In fact, Mr. Mueller's track record of success in these investigations have been earth shattering. He has had at least 35 indictments and pleas so far, and we are hoping for more.
This week we will see if Mueller can add a conviction from a jury to the list of his accomplishments. Paul Manafort is waiting to see what a jury of his peers decides in hi trial, and he could go away yo the big house for a long time. (I wouldn't be surprised if this is a hung jury, but if I had to money on this trial I would say that Mueller will get a conviction on at least some of the counts.)
Mr. trump is already sending Manafort signals that he has his back. This too is wrong, but what else is new with this guy in the White House? While the jury is deliberating the president of the United Sates comments publicly on the case and praises the accused.
Maybe this is why Mr. trump is feeling so trapped and cornered these days: He can't control what Mr Manafort and Mr. Cohen will say, or if Mr. Manafort is found guilty what he will give up in exchange for a lesser sentence.
So expect more tweets and more signs of desperation from this president in the next few days. All we can hope for now is that if he makes a seriously crazy move it won't have dire consequences for the rest of us.w
As a person who does research in HIV, I think Pence is a FAR bigger threat than Trump given his position on HIV in his former home state and my observation that the HIV demographic is becoming whiter as we speak.

The fun part is watching all of you fixate on this political theatre while the Deep State is dismantled under the radar, 1000 pedophiles at a time. OBTW, do you realize that Neon Revolt found a nexus between John Podesta's favorite paintings and what is a non-swimming pool (Satanic slaughter space) in the Vanderbilt mansion in which Anderson Cooper grew up?
You are defending the literal slaughter and consumption of children. Given the trafficing patterns, a lot of those children were Haitian, meaning black. You are defending the Satanists who literally eat black children.

ReplyDeleteMARGARET BRENNAN: Congressman because you are a Republican. I want to ask you about the president’s language. He has referred this week to a former senior White House official as a dog and a low life physically. He often references physical attributes and as you know he’s been accused by at least 19 women of sexual misconduct. Does any of that make you uncomfortable as a member of his party?

REP. NOEM: You know, let me be very clear I don’t think there’s anyone that would say that they approve of any kind of sexual misconduct. And we’ve seen many important people in this country fall when they’ve gone through the judicial process of- of that being confirmed. That isn’t where the president is today. But I tend to not focus on dissecting the president’s tweets or his language. I’m focused on policies. That’s what my job is. Is to look at solutions that will really bring relief to the people in my state, but also to people in this country.
I was thinking congress had the constitutional duty to remove a mad, rabid POS like Drumpf from office.
In another light, Drumpf crows about America First, so how come he is allowing TRash-Can, the Canadian korp owners of leaky Keystone Pipeline 1 to waltz into South Dakota and declare imminent domain and take farm and ranch lands away from Americans to build a pipeline for dirty dil-bit that no one wants? Could it be the mangled apricot6 lad was lying like usual about America first? And there they are, just getting buggered again and again, and still worshiping the creep who lied to them to get their support.
There will never be more coal jobs. Coal is more expensive to burn than natural gas, and not any cheaper than wind and solar any more, especially if you look at the actual cost, not just the production cost.
That is the fucking free market speaking before the issue of coal's detrimental filthiness is even considered.
But the Pig People just love them some coal miners because coal pisses off people who are smarter than them and coal miners are obsolete, politically, culturally, and financially, just like them.
China, which has even worse coal mines than we do, is training their miners to work in the solar industry, where they are taking our IP and eating our lunch because we're too goddamn stupid to capitalize on our own innovation.
They expect to create 15 million jobs in the next decade, and their miners are fucking thrilled to be working above ground again. ReplyDeleteAnonymous Anonymous said...some false info regarding Obama's accomplishments.
Here's a list of several of Obama's accomplishments
9. Repealed “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”: Ended 1990s-era restriction and formalized new policy allowing gays and lesbians to serve openly in the military for the first time.
10. Reversed Bush Torture Policies: Two days after taking office, nullified Bush-era rulings that had allowed detainees in U.S. custody to undergo certain “enhanced” interrogation techniques considered inhumane under the Geneva Conventions. Also released the secret Bush legal rulings supporting the use of these techniques.
11. Improved America’s Image Abroad: With new policies, diplomacy, and rhetoric, reversed a sharp decline in world opinion toward the U.S. (and the corresponding loss of “soft power”) during the Bush years. From 2008 to 2011, favorable opinion toward the United States rose in ten of fifteen countries surveyed by the Pew Global Attitudes Project, with an average increase of 26 percent.
12.Kicked Banks Out of Federal Student Loan Program, Expanded Pell Grant Spending: As part of the 2010 health care reform bill, signed measure ending the wasteful decades-old practice of subsidizing banks to provide college loans. Starting July 2010 all students began getting their federal student loans directly from the federal government. Treasury will save $67 billion over ten years, $36 billion of which will go to expanding Pell Grants to lower-income students.
14. Created Race to the Top: With funds from stimulus, started $4.35 billion program of competitive grants to encourage and reward states for education reform.
15. Boosted Fuel Efficiency Standards: Released new fuel efficiency standards in 2011 that will nearly double the fuel economy for cars and trucks by 2025.
16. Coordinated International Response to Financial Crisis: To keep world economy out of recession in 2009 and 2010, helped secure from G-20 nations more than $500 billion for the IMF to provide lines of credit and other support to emerging market countries, which kept them liquid and avoided crises with their currencies.

> Anyone standing up for coal use right now is a suicidal/homicidal moron.
Anyone not recognizing that coal has essential qualities not shared by "renewables" or natural gas is a fool and a danger to society. You have to replace it with something else which has the same essential qualities or you are setting yourselves up for disaster. Ideally you get rid of the bad qualities in the bargain.

Perhaps he is a sensitive child, but that's not Twitter's fault. Or perhaps he's just an idiot who doesn't understand how computers work trying to play victim.

ReplyDeleteSteve Benen is irrelevant. Natural gas kills people; 8 in San Bruno, 12 in New Mexico, potential of dozens maybe hundreds at Aliso Canyon, bunches in NYC and elsewhere when buildings blow up, and particulates and other emissions all over. Gas is only 16 times as good as coal in deaths per terawatt-hour. Nuclear radiation from powerplants kills... nobody. Nuclear is 200 times as good as gas and 4 times as good as wind.
> This is the price Donald Trump and his team believe we should collectively pay to help support pollution from a dying industry.
Being without power, water and heat in a winter cold snap is a lot more dangerous than coal emissions. Why not keep all those plants in operating condition with piles of fuel on hand and just not operate them except when absolutely needed (like when the gas pipelines can't carry enough gas)? And keep the nukes going, of course. You DO take climate change seriously, don't you? Why would you ever shut down a 24/7 emissions-free generator to replace it with anything that needs natural gas or even fuel oil?

Sounds like Twatter changed his settings maliciously. It's an insidious way to harass people.
Commercial nuclear power does not include Soviet RMBKs, which were military plutonium-production units which also produced electricity.
