Jumping the good ship, Newt.

I was just in the gym, and I was listening to everything from Ace Hood to Barry Manilow on my iPod. Now if that ain't mixed up and confused I don't know what is. But I am like that with my music, my food, and with people. Yes, people.

I like all types of different things and cultures. With all due respect to Forrest Gump; life should be like a bowl of gumbo, not a box of chocolate. Honestly, how can you grow as a human being if you just stay stuck in your own little corner of the trailer park, the housing project, or your gated community? You have got to at least try to emancipate your mind and open up to new horizons.

Which is why I am wondering about certain people tonight. You know the ones. They are always the first to be "color aroused", (thanks for that word, Francis) point fingers at the other side or at those people, and they lock in the hardest to the talking points given to them by the puppet masters who control their thoughts and their lives. Of course, while they are doing this, they always seem to fail to take control of their own miserable and pathetic lives.

It's always easier to point fingers than to look in the mirror. Sadly, when some folks look in the mirror, they never like what they see.

Now on to the man who "cheated on his wives for America." Newt, over the objections of his senior staffers, though he could take a little cruise in the middle of his campaign. (Who takes a vacation so early in his campaign?) Newt, as men tend to do at times, listened to his wife and not the folks running the campaign; so he set sail on the Mediterranean. And now those folks are gone. Poof! Just like that! No more campaign staff.

Poor Newt, I don't think he likes what he sees when he looks in the mirror. I don't think his wife does, either. Thank god for Tiffany & Co.

Finally, I wish these phony dumbocrats would stop calling for Weiner's head. Unless he broke a law he should stay right where he is. His constituents like him, and from the looks of the latest polls they want him back. So Mr. Weiner, screw those phonies in Washington and focus on the people who sent you there.

They previously supported law breakers and Bubba when the chubby brunette was wetting his whistle, they should support you.

  1. Field, the Dems are scared of the political liability come 2012. Obama is already weak on the economy (no thanks to the GOP) and he doesn't need Anthony (and his) Wiener gumming up the works.

In full man mode, you don't let a bunch of hypocrite like the Republican leadership run one of your attack dogs off the stage over some cybersex. Especially when you have guys like Dave Vitter ordering hookers from the floor of Congress or John Ensign banging out your best friend's wife then paying off the entire family to keep their mouths shut.

But, politics is a bloodsport and the Democrats aren't known for being much of fighters these days. (And as weak and soft as Obama appears to some folks, he's a back alley brawler compared to the punks in DLC.)

Sorry, wrong political party, the democrats are trying to run him off. Republicans actually hope he stays around, hell of a lot of material with this guy. Don't confuse overly loud and dramatic with effective. He is the nerd everyone grew up with, in fact he looks like horseshack from welcome back kotter or screech from saved by the bell. Newt was running for the nomination; he was slithering.

Its all in the numbers you know Field. Statistics. Any 2 sufficiently large groupings of the same anythings have more disparity within than between. It works with people too. But yeah, anyone who fries a fish, stews some meat, etc is likely to find me hitting them up; drinking their drink, eating their food, enjoying their music dance and other arts. We have so much more in common with each other than we do different that those differences are enriching if we allow them to be.

I would love it if Weiner would stay. His seat is not winnable, and we get a lot more years of Weiner jokes.

Problem is Weinergate has gone national.WG has bleed into all the Democrat party and taken the big MO they had from the NY-26 win and the beating they were giving Republicans over Paul Ryan's plan.

If he stays he will be weak.Nobody knows if he will hit the self-destruction button causing the Democrats more embarrassment .

Weiner has some coin in the piggy bank.Resign now,go on a media rehab tour.Come back in 2013 and win the mayors race.

  8. @LAC great points. So as a party why not get ahead of this and get MoveOn to make commercials that hammer home that Democrats don't own this problem. Buy time in all the Fox News shows and not let them forget that they have just as many skeletons in the closet as Dem politicians. There's an ad featuring Mike Huckabee that runs on MSNBC about repealing "Obamacare". Clearly MSNBC isn't the audience for this but it's a bold move that we should mimic.

As of now, Weiner is unemployable.

If he stays in the House, he will lose the next election. If he runs for mayor of NY City he will fail to win the Democratic primary.

Thus, you can bank on the fact that his name will never appear on the ballot for mayor of NY City.

Meanwhile, in a field without candidates, I am putting my bet on Ray Kelly. If he were to run for mayor, he beat any challenger in a landslide.

It's not going to matter. Obama is going to lose. The D's are turning on him, and even his media syncophants are turning on him. And this is even before the Gunwalker Hearings truly get rolling.

At the end of the day, though, all voters care about are pocketbook issues. Are you better off or worse off than you were 4 years ago? Unemployment is 100% greater than under Bush, gas prices are 100% higher, and Obama will pay the price at the polls.

Not only that, but he is an embarrassment to a great number of blacks, who will stay home. If he is unable to reproduce the massive turnout of the AA community he loses. He can't and he will lose.

Re: Congressman Weiner; he is a fighter and I really liked his advocacy for the least and the struggling against the Repubs. and the more moderate Democrats. The problem is he wasn't liked by his colleagues outside the realm of progressive theater. Which may be why so many are walking away.

Clinton had charisma although he was duplicitous and egotistical to the nth degree. He underwent impeachment but his buddies and others came through for him.

I don't know, personally he can stay but I don't think he'll be as effective and the opposition will continue to make him an issue.
Rachel Maddow and Larry Flynt are feeling you though and they've really slammed the Repubs and Dems for their hypocrisy. I think Larry offered 1 million like he did when Clinton was in trouble. You may not like his industry but he's real good at scattering the hypocrites....though.

What you fail to realize is that the second half of this year will be gangbusters in the economy's growth, jobs and the downsizing of our troops in Afghanistan. Given that will happen, Obama will be in great shape and once again win by a landslide. PROVIDED Sarah Palin does not run.

    Black News Today:

Teen girl killed, four wounded on Brooklyn's Brighton Beach boardwalk as gunman fires on crowd

BY Kerry Wills, Michael J. Feeney, Trevor Kapp and Joe Kemp
    DAILY NEWS WRITERS

    Thursday, June 9th 2011

Chaos ensued at the Brighton Beach Boardwalk when a fight erupted into a shooting. A 16-year-old girl was killed and four people were wounded by gunfire Thursday after two groups clashed on a crowded Brooklyn boardwalk, cops and witnesses said.

Two of the victims were bystanders, sources said.

One man used an umbrella to crack another man in the head as the fight erupted on the Brighton Beach Boardwalk near Brighton Sixth St. about 5:20 p.m. Suddenly, a gunman squeezed off about eight rounds, first shooting in the air before aiming at the brawling crowd, cops and witnesses said.

"It was chaotic," said a 48-year-old Queens woman who was visiting Brighton Beach.

"We looked at the boardwalk and everyone was running north. It was hectic. It was panic."

The teen - identified by friends as Tysha Jones, a Landmark High School student - was shot under the left armpit, cops said.

She later died at Coney Island Hospital, where a 23-year-old man was clinging to life with a gunshot wound to his stomach.

Tykwan Beckett, 23, and two other men - ages 25 and 26 - were taken to Lutheran Hospital. All were expected to survive.

The two injured bystanders - one hit inside Tatiana Restaurant - were among those in stable condition, sources said.

"I hope that somebody comes forward," said Beckett's sister, Ebony, 27. "If they don't stop him, [the shooter is] going to keep going."

  34. Target shooting in Brooklyn, gang bangin and the things that happen when black students have a day off from school:

    Black marksmanship:

One stray bullet pierced through the window of an elderly woman's apartment as she sat in front of her TV, witnesses said.

The bullet whizzed through the sixth-floor apartment of Marion Smith, 84, but didn't hit her, said a security guard at the building.

Dozens of cops from Brooklyn and Staten Island swarmed the area.

Investigators believe the violence erupted between two rival gangs, cops said.

Sources said detectives were questioning several men that were taken into custody soon after the shooting. No one was arrested.

Tatiana Ortiz, 33, said she tried to shield her children from the flying bullets.

"I just jumped over my kids," she said. "We all ducked."

Raheem Bowman, 15, and his friends fled the beach soon after the shots were fired - but witnessed his pal get stabbed on the subway moments later.

Just after 6 p.m., a fight broke out inside the car of a northbound Q train at the Avenue U station, cops and Bowman said.

Jamal Wilson, 16, was stabbed in his right side during the scuffle, Bowman said.

The incident was not related and no arrests had been made, cops said.

The mayhem on the boardwalk unfolded after hundreds of kids enjoyed a day off from school for Brooklyn-Queens Day.

Community leaders said trouble usually occurs in the area every year.

Obama and a White House invite for dictator who has stolen billions from his impoverished African nation

    By Daniel Bates

    9th June 2011

Barack Obama has come under fire for extending a formal invitation to a shamed African dictator who has ruthlessly plundered billions of dollars from his own country.

The U.S. President is today having a coveted private meeting with President Ali Bongo of Gabon in the Oval Office despite his appalling track record.

Bongo’s family has ruled the impoverished African nation with an iron fist for five decades and have used its oil riches to fund a life of outrageous luxury.

Invite: Barack Obama today had a coveted private meeting with President Ali Bongo of Gabon in the Oval Office despite his appalling track record

Meanwhile one third of people in Gabon live on less than $2 a day and thousands starve to death each year or are forced to pick through garbage to find food.

Critics have pointed out that Gabon, with a population of 1.5 million, is the third-largest oil producer in sub-Saharan Africa.

They claim that the only reason Mr Obama has agreed to the meeting is that he wants to curry favour with an ally to secure America’s fuel supplies - regardless of who it is.

The Bongo family’s abuse of Gabon is well-documented and dates back to 1967 when Omar Bongo, Ali’s father, took over.

Two years ago he died paving the way for Ali Bongo to continue the reign of corruption.

Investigations have revealed the Bongos have dozens of luxury homes in places like the French Riviera and a $120million 14-bedroom townhouse in Paris.

During one shopping spree in 2006 Ali Bongo’s then wife balked at the idea of moving into a property that cost a mere $25 million.

‘I need something really big, really, really, really big,’ Inge said. ‘I would think for that amount of money, I would expect a bit more grandeur.

‘I've tried to downsize, but it's just not in my character’.

Jack Blum, a United Nations consultant and expert on offshore banking, told ABC News that the meeting with Mr Obama sends out the wrong message.

He said that over the years the Bongos had siphoned off a quarter of Gabon’s GDP which has made them ‘incredibly rich’.

‘There's absolutely no shame,’ Blum said of Bongo and his cronies.

‘I would say that the people who are running the country are guilty of grand theft nation’.

Senator Carl Levin, D-Michigan, added that: ‘Omar Bongo and now his son Ali Bongo have for more than 40 years run a regime in Gabon which diverts their country's wealth for their family's personal use’.

A Congressional report he wrote last year showed that ‘the Bongos misused U.S. financial institutions to carry out suspicious transactions involving millions of dollars.’

‘Omar Bongo and now his son Ali Bongo have for more than 40 years run a regime in Gabon which diverts their country's wealth for their family's personal use’

Speaking to ABC News White House press secretary Jay Carney admitted that Bongo has a ‘less than sterling’ record.

‘First of all, the president of Gabon is making reform efforts, which we support,’ he said.

‘Secondly ... Gabon has been an important partner in some of the issues that are very important to American national security.’

A spokesman for Bongo claimed that the president is a reformer, but could not explain how he built up such fantastic wealth.

The country's per-capita GDP is impressive, especially for Africa.

But after you realize that Bongo, the dictator, steals all the money, you see how sad and typically depraved black leaders are.

Obama's pal. Yeah, Gabon is an oil producing nation in Africa. The US could increase its oil production by an amount equal to Gabon's, cramping a vicious dictator while increasing jobs and energy security in the US.

But Obama would rather enrich repressive African dictators than restore the financial health of the US.

By the way, the biggest importer of oil to the US is Canada.

Not Saudi Arabia or any other Islamic dictatorship.

Dvonte Sykes 16,Trovolus Pickett, 17 and Derod'te Wright, 18 - Gotta love these names.

Random attacks cause concern in Chicago

No one was seriously hurt in the flurry of five random attacks by a mob of young men on Chicago's lakefront over the weekend.

But the feeling among many visitors and residents that the popular Near North Side stretch where the attacks occurred is safe for strolling on a summer night may have taken a hit.

Mob attacks create a sensitive issue for city officials eager to boost tourism and convention business. While there have been reports nationwide of shoplifting and other crimes carried out by "flash mobs" coordinating their efforts through text messaging, (wonder why the left out "black") the attacks Saturday did not appear to be coordinated by any social media, police said.

On Monday, two 16-year-old boys were ordered held in custody on juvenile charges of attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery.

Three other teens were charged with robbery as adults: Dvonte Sykes, 17, of the 7500 block of South Normal Avenue; Trovolus Pickett, 17, of the 8400 block of South Dorchester Avenue; and Derod'te Wright, 18, of the 3500 block of South State Street. They remained in custody Monday night in lieu of bonds ranging from $200,000 to $300,000

Your comparison is "democratic" The R had to leave and was rightly immediately pushed out of office - FIRED.

What you are saying is being that Foley was bad and got fired for it, in comparison he was worse then Weiner so Weiner should stay.

Are you serious is this democratic logic and accountability?

Well that guy that got the death sentence and was executed for murder was really bad compared to the guy who just got arrested for shooting a few people, so let the guy who committed the shootings go free , WHY? because the guy who was execued got held accountable and was worse..

How about just holding Weiner accountable as a dem to whatever standards dems have and publicy support and stop looking to another party for an excuse NOT to have standards?

Bye the way, Clintons hate him and are throwing him under the bus.

Gary Studds, Democrartic Congressman from Massachusetts, actually had sex with a page, a male page, who was 17 years old! When he was censured by the House, he turned his back on the proceedings. The good people of Massachusetts saw fit to send him back for several more terms.

But don't Republicans think they have all the answers? Don't they think they really do know it all? Yeah, but they're extremely bitter and resentful because they think there's a vast liberal conspiracy to deprive them of the right to exercise their brilliance and do whatever they want to the country -- and they're looking for a politician who embodies that bitterness and resentment. Perry doesn't do that. Perry just acts smug and superior. He's certain he's all that. He doesn't act cheated. Unlike, say, Sarah Palin or Chris Christie or Rudy Giuliani, or even a less obvious resentnik like Paul Ryan, Perry doesn't exude the sense that the bastards are depriving him of his birthright.

Which pretty much guarantees an Obama victory. Romney is too liberal, Perry is a secessionist and there hasn't been a fat president since when? Aesthetics are important as America is a shallow nation. As far as Palin and Bachmann neing babes both are past their "babe" years. Bachmann is 55 and that is well past expiration date.
In orevious years with the conservative spin machine that tells us up is really down Romney may have had a chance but now reality is sinking in to folks when Republicans get in to office and they lose their jobs it is a wake up call. Romney brags about his business savvy but how many jobs did his company outsource? This stuff matters now. The GOP is shooting themselves in the foot when Rep. Broun says things like governmemnt employees losing their jobs should appreciate being put into the "real" world. Classless and clueless is not what people vote for.

Does President Obama really want us to “make him do it,” to organize and agitate and create the conditions that will let him end the wars, cut the military budget, create jobs and address the hyper-incarceration of black and brown youth? Or is the “make me do it” president an urban legend who lives only inside our heads? A recent presidential encounter with Harry Belafonte tells more than some of us may want to know.

Belafonte was asked by host Amy Goodman whether he'd used his occasional access to directly share his many critical and valuable public policy insights with the White House. Belafonte replied that his only access to the president has been for a few seconds at a time, not long enough for any substantive discussion. But, he said, at one such event President Obama approached him to inquire when Belafonte and Cornel West were going “to cut me some slack.”

“What makes you think we haven't?” Belafonte replied to the president? At this point the brief encounter was over.

There are numerous reputable climate scientists who postulate that there may be some warming due to increased levels of CO2. Here’s a one-two punch to consider: the college graduating class of 2011 has the highest average student debt load in history and is facing the worst employment market on record for graduates with a four-year degree. Young men and women are coming out of college and, increasingly, moving back home with mom and dad. Many are taking unpaid internships, doing volunteer work or otherwise biding their time in the hope that the employment landscape improves. Those who have jobs are often underemployed. Fewer than half of recent college graduates are working in jobs that require a college degree.

For young people with less than a college degree, forget about it. Fewer than half have any jobs at all. Many are outside the labor force, not even bothering to look for the jobs that are not there.

What we have on our hands is a catastrophe. The economy has proved incapable of generating enough jobs for those who want and desperately need to work. The few jobs that are being created are mostly low-paying and part-time, with few or no benefits.

What is bizarre is the extent to which politicians have turned their backs on this issue, yammering incessantly (and ineffectively) about budget-cutting and fiscal responsibility while doing nothing, absolutely nothing, about jobs.

Not really. There is always a degree of climate change going on. Why do we need meteorologists and climatologists if there is no change in the atmosphere? Silly logic. The question is now how will advanced levels of CO2 affect the climate in the future? No one really knows which os why there is so much study on the topic. We may not see any affects in our lifetimes but does that mean it's not happening or we shouldn't be concerned about it? It actually doesn't matter what the average joe's opinion on the matter is as he doesn't understand the science so we should only concern ourselves with the data being presented by reputable sources. Most Republicans with a biased agenda is not a good source of info IMHO.

Con't. Kinda not the point. Scientists, especially climate scientists, are charged with attempting to answer questions that are important to us. Future climate is important thus it must be studied. 1. We are pumping alot of CO2 into the atmosphere. 2. CO2 is a greenhouse gas. 3. We need to know what all of this CO2 will do to us in the future.

This recent launch of a satellite to monitor ocean salinity levels will help in the study of climate change. Studies and findings will change as we gain more data, maybe we will determine that the effects are small and mitigatable or we may find the effects are catastrophic. We need to continue to do research and not accept present ideas or outrightly reject them. Romney's approach is the correct one, how else can we not agree with his accessment?

Not exactly. I soeak as someone who studies meteorology and has an interest in climatology as I know a few reputable climatologists studying the topic. The more proper term among climatologists is Climate Variability but you can use any term you choose. It didn't change because of political pressure but scientists just like to be precise. The term was only used so the masses could understand it in the first place. Bad argument.

I agree, I'm not for crippling anyone's living standards I want to know what the science tells us and if that requires some variation in our lifestyles.......

"THERE IS NO EVIDENCE OF ANTHROPOGENIC GLOBAL WARMING."

Depends on whom you ask. Because of the advanced levels of CO2 there almost necessarily has to be some warming due to human influences. The question is how much? Somewhere between 0.1-100% is my guess. We need alot more study before we make such declarative statements. As Romney said, there may be something to it so we need not dismiss it outright.

  136. pilotX,

The Climate Change, Global Warming blather is utterly meaningless no matter how true it might be.

Yes, the climate is always changing, thus the new name for Global Warming is a silly truism.

But it's all silliness because first, Climate Change kills NO ONE.

Second, literally MILLIONS of people DIE EVERY YEAR from smoking cigarettes.

Yet cigarettes are legal and they have become a major source of government revenue.

Things that are bad for your health are good because people who consume the bad things can be taxed without fear of public disapproval.

Smokers admit the vileness of their habit, and though they chafe about taxes, most pay willingly.

Ephysema and COPD kill millions every year. Drinking too much accelerates the slide toward death.

But you goofballs want to take people's minds off the direct threats to their lives by asking them to imagine a new evil. One that harms no one. One, however, that can be identified AND taxed.

Meanwhile, smokers keep smoking themselves to death while government people frightened about the need for more tax revenue agonize over how to bamboozle voters into believing the best way to get it is to punish them for using energy.

The goes on while the government collects vast sums in tobacco taxes and tobacco companies keep piling up big profits.

You see, the tobacco companies were indemnified against prosecution for dealing death by the federal government, which agreed to accept a large annual payment of cash. That was the only solution agreeable to both parties.

The Carbon Tax is another Tobacco Tax

Ahhh the selfish theme, no, more akin to the "contribute equally" theme would be more like it. Based upon what you say, kudos to you. However, there are some who think that need equates to mandated demand on others, despite any lack of preparation of contribution on thier part, in fact deliberate willful abandon. Will I help them, yes. If it isn't reciprocated in some form or fashion after awhile and they become a dependant impacting the neighborhood and community ..., then call me selfish all you want.

It is inhumane for me to not teach someone who has never fished how to fish and watch them starve, it is inhumane for he to demand I continue to fish for him, because it is too hard and he does not wish to try....

For global warming? Well, if only the science hadn't been so full of falsehoods and demagoguery. There is not doubt the scandals with falsified data were "uncovered" and then lied about...why? This makes me look at other scientific data that proves this is jsut the simple cycle of the earth. Why were there companies built to trade in air "green credits" by the same people in charge pushing global warming? Hmmmm...

When these questions are answered scientifically and not with rhetoric, then I would jump on board, right now the science is flawed and the believers are incoherent and oftentimes nasty. Where science refuting the rhetoric is solid, the ice shelf has not dissapeared as projected, polar bear populations have increased not decreased, we had a hellacious winter last year, then the folks changed global warming to climate impact or whatever to cover that new spin...interesting.

As for Barack, the only thing he accomplished was race baiting and community organizing, he has never created anything but sure did excel at helping others take what someone else earned, That is not an accomplishment. That is a immoral thief.

Yvette Clark, I don't know much about her except she got caught lying that she graduated from Oberlin. Brighton Beach boardwalk shooting: Tysha Jones 'killed for enjoying a day at the beach'

Hours before she was killed in a senseless Brighton Beach boardwalk shooting, Tysha Jones looked like any other carefree teenager enjoying a day of sun and sea with friends.

One of the last known photos of the 16-year-old shows her playfully splashing around with a pal in the Atlantic Ocean, wearing a black bathing suit and red shorts, her beaming face a picture of joy.

A short while later, she was struck by a bullet when a gunman opened fire on the bustling Brooklyn boardwalk, leaving the high school student dead, four others wounded and hundreds of terrified beachgoers running for cover.

"She was just a lovely girl. She was just an innocent bystander," her devastated mother, Cynthia Jones, said Friday morning, clutching her head with both hands.

the bilderbergs and conspiracies are real.

    please research all asap

    knowledge is power
    peace

    start here:

Luke Rudkowski has reported to Infowars that he has delivered a letter from Swiss parliament to police at the Bilderberg conference instructing them to back off of activists and journalists covering the event. Rudkowski reported that the atmosphere has now changed and police are allowing journalists closer to the conference area.

In an even greater development, Swiss People Party's representative, Dominique Baettig, has announced to prosecutors that he and several other members are demanding entrance to the conference in order to confront the Bilderberg Group about their secrecy and to call for the arrest of Henry Kissinger as a war criminal.

    As Paul Joseph Watson stated:

Baettig is no fringe figure, he’s the equivalent of a US Congressman, representing the Canton of Jura on the National Council of Switzerland. His party, the Swiss People’s Party, is the largest party in the Federal Assembly, with 58 members of the National Council and 6 of the Council of States.
This confrontation comes one day after Italian MEP Mario Borghezio reportedly was assaulted by security and given a bloody nose after his attempt to enter the meeting. He stated that he will press charges against the security firm Securitas.

I've just wasted 30 seconds of my life trying to find something approaching logic in this paragraph, but to no avail. You're going to have to explain it to me.

Firstly, a point of information. There is no such thing as British, because Britain is a state but it is not a nation. So the people of these islands are English, Scottish, Welsh or Irish. Nobody in Britain refers themselves as British. (Well except Margaret Thatcher and she's got Korsakoff's syndrome).

    Back to your paragraph Slappy.

The British empire was closed down and sold off before I was born. So, this is the bit you are going to have to explain. How does the closing down of the British empire before I was born affect the way I would be perceived as a Marxist or a Keynsian?

The leap of logic there is beyond me. That is of course, because as usual, there is no logic to be found in your posts. Because you are a fraud, a pseudo-intellectual charlatan. Incapable of independent though, all you have is your copy and paste buttons. When you can't find anything relevant to copy and paste, then you are forced to write something original, and we end up with utter incomprehensible crap like this. If my 11 year old kids wrote a shit paragraph like yours, I would send them to bed without their supper.

There are a lot of pseudo-intellectuals like you on the internet. They are, like you, deeply unhappy with their lives. So consumed are you with your inadequacies that you feel the need to project an image of yourself that goes far beyond reality, into an alternative universe - a kind of fascist or Randian dystopia where you are a towering intellectual surrounded by admiring blonde men in brown shirts (like the terminally dim-witted Rottnkid*) who say "bravo" at your latest witty bon mots.

How different from the sad reality of your real life 'ay Slappy?

I suspect that you lie in bed at night wondering why everybody you know hates you. Your colleagues, your neighbours, those women who humiliated you when you tried to buy them a drink in Harry's Bar - why does everyone hate poor old Slappy? You probably imagine it's because they are scared of your towering intellect, or pushed away by the incisive brilliance of your laser-accurate logic and oh-so-dry wit.

The truth is, the reason everybody hates you Slappy, is that you are a cunt.

*I suspect Rottnkid might just be a product of your not-particularly-fertile, fertile imagination.

Yeah. So what? Harry Truman never went to college.

As for Koch, I suppose he was drafted and pulled out of college. So what?

Meanwhile, Yvette Clarke lied. Said she graduated when she knew she hadn't. Thus, she's got nothing in common with Koch.

He was admitted to NYU Law School under an Affirmative Action program for white WWII vets.

It may be news to you, dimwit, but law school as a graduate school to be entered after getting a bachelor's degree is a relatively new thing. Until sometime well into the 20th century, high school grads went straight to law school.

Like engineering. It was an undergraduate program.

Meanwhile, Koch is a smart guy. But Clarke is a dummy. It's painfully obvious when you hear her speak.

As for your claim that the WWII GI Bill was an Affirmative Action program for whites, well, guess again, bonehead.

First, it wasn't in any sense, Affirmative Action.

Second, both blacks and whites were eligible for WWII GI Bill benefits.

  177. Recovery -- the Obama Way

DJIA Posts First Sub-12000 Close Since Mid-March

    By BRENDAN CONWAY

NEW YORK—Another dose of anguish about the economic recovery sent the Dow Jones Industrial Average to the first close below 12000 since mid-March, capping the blue-chip index's longest weekly slump since 2002.

The Dow industrials sank 172.45 points, or 1.4%, to 11951.91, the sixth straight week of declines.

The Standard & Poor's 500-stock index shed 18.02, or 1.4%, to 1270.98. That broad index also has notched six weeks of declines, the longest losing streak since 2008.

Investors were dour after U.S. May import prices showed a surprise gain of 0.2%, hinting at an inflation push coming into the U.S. from abroad.

The action follows a string of weak readings on the U.S. economy that have joined with pessimism about weaker global growth to weigh on major stock indexes.

"There's a growing idea that perhaps this slowdown is not as temporary as it looks," said John Brady, senior vice president at MF Global.

I try not to respond to AB's posts for obvious reasons, but this had me falling out of my chair laughing.

For the record AB, Martin Niemoller wasn't even born until the 1890's (I don't remember the exact date - but Google is your friend here) so it's difficult to see how he could have written this speech in 1845. Secondly Niemoller altered the order of the people the Nazis came for, depending upon what kind of audience he was speaking to. In other words in Europe he always started with "First they came for the Socialists...." For an American audience he always started with "First they came for the Jews..."

  190. It's a measure of just how pathetic No Slapzz is that he has to invent 'Anonymous' posters who's entire function is to agree with him!

"Yeah, No Slapzz, you go girl, you show that British commie pinko marxist with a gay son, just how it should be.. You're the greatest No Slapzz, you're just so funny an' clever, and just as interesting as Nascar."

"But you goofballs want to take people's minds off the direct threats to their lives by asking them to imagine a new evil. One that harms no one. One, however, that can be identified AND taxed"

Once again Slappz perfectly illustrates linear conservative thinking. It IS possible to study and understand the science of meteorology and climatology without forgetting that smoking is risky. No one studying the atmosphere is unaware of the dangers of smoking. I also disagree that climate hasn't killed anyone, April 27th many people died because of changes in weather patterns. We are in a la Nina pattern and is that associated with an increased severe weather pattern? Some say yes and some say no but more study is needed. Hurricanes, heat outbreaks, ect kill many people. We CAN chew gum and walk at the same time. Let the trial lawyers handle the tobacco industry.

"Rick Perry and Allan West 2012 now that is a team that will help get us on track."

    Yeah right.

    A secessionist and a Tom.

Right on track to the year 1860.

You wish you could be half the man Allan West is. Why do strong black men totally emasculate guys like you? He is too well spoken? Too independant? Believes in personal responsibility and accountability, I could go on, but never mind, just figured out why YOU would have a problem with him.

As for Perry, 3 time governor of one of the only states doing well in the USA, cause he doesn't bow to dimmie bullshit.

With you not liking either one, then we are definitely on the right track.

No, Anon, because so many Black conservatives feel that they have to denigrate other people of color (particularly the Black working class and Black liberals) to move forward politically. They also tend to say stupid race-baiting things that would better coming out of the mouth of a Neo-Nazi or a Klansman than a Black man who grew up in an America only now being to heal from slavery and racism.

  200. But let's focus on Keys. He specifically had a raving loon as a his chief of staff. Don't believe me - look here. Yes, she stepped down, but the fact that a former military officer thought nothing of an avowed sucessionist as his top aide is a little suspect.

Oh, and this dumb ass claimed he had higher security clearance than the President. This isn't some shadowy Cloak & Dagger movie, son, this is real life and no one has more access to government secrets than the President of the United States. To say that kind of bull shows how Republicans will let any freak or geek run for office.
