More voodoo.

Well this pretty much settles it for me; the smartest person among the punditry class here in America believes that the Bush tax cuts failed us.

Of course you don't have to be a Harvard educated scholar to realize that trickle- down economics never works. The money trickles into the pockets and various safe havens for the wealthy. It doesn't mean more jobs or investment in America's infrastructure. (The first Bush had a name for it back in the day. My friends from New Orleans will be quite familiar with it.)

But republicans love to talk about tax breaks for people who don't need it because those are the people who prop them up and buy elections for them year after year. (I see you Scott Walker)

The problem with president Obama is that he is too much of a centrist. He didn't push for more money into the stimulus and he allowed the Bush tax cuts to go on far too long. He was hoping for bi-partisanship and he tried to play nice with [right] wingnuts. That is always a big mistake. These folks are hard liners when it comes to their tax ideology, and they have all taken a pledge to protect the wealthiest among us by keeping their taxes low.( I see you Grover Norquest)

Wingnuts spend most of their time advocating for cutting government deficits and worrying about the long term debt outlook. Excuse me if I sound a bit selfish, but I am living in the present, and if we (by we I mean the government) don't do anything to spur economic growth by way of more (not less) government spending and programs, we could be facing another Bush style depression. I think it was Larry Summers who said, (God I hate to use him as an example) -and I am paraphrasing here- that the greatest threat to America's credit worthiness is a sustained period of slow growth. Just in case you have been living on another planet for the last few months, I would like to inform you that we have had a prolonged period of slow growth. Of course republicans, ever the patriots, are hoping that their fellow Americans will suffer more if it means that their guy can win the White House.

This will not happen if we have more spending on public works projects, more payroll breaks for real people in the middle class, and higher taxes for those who can afford it. Let's take care of the consumers first for once in this country. I know that they can't write fat checks like big business, but they are the ones spending their weekly earnings at Wal-Mart.

"Mitt Romney’s first major ad is substantive — and wrong. He tells us that on his first day in office — after approving the Keystone XL pipeline — he will “introduce tax cuts . . . that reward job creators not punish them.” The one idea that is almost certain not to jump-start this economy is a tax cut.

Why can we be sure of this? Because that is what we have done for the past three years. For those who think President Obama’s policies have done little to produce growth, keep in mind that the single largest piece of his policies — in dollar terms — has been tax cuts. They actually began before Obama, with the tax cut passed under the George W. Bush administration in response to the financial crisis in 2008. Then came the stimulus bill, of which tax cuts were the largest chunk by far — one-third of the total. The Department of Transportation, by contrast, got 6 percent of the total to fix infrastructure.

In the wake of a financial crisis caused by excessive debt, tax cuts are highly unlikely to lead to increased economic activity. People use the money to pay down their debts rather than shop for cars, houses and appliances. As for the idea that job creators are not creating jobs because their taxes are too high, think about it: Would Mitt Romney invest more of his money in American factories if only he had paid less than the 13.9 percent rate he paid last year? Please!"

What's that they say about the definition of madness? Oh yeah, it's doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

Wingnuts, my friends, are truly mad people.

"Fear of a Black Planet."

Conservative folks in the majority population like to accuse Negroes of playing the victim card. (Just read the anonymous comments on this blog after any post that deals with politics) But honestly, is there anyone playing the victim card any better than conservative white males these days? They have become so good at it that some of them have actually started buying into this piece of false narrative. And, of course, the media arm of the movement, FOX NEWS,has decided that it is good for ratings to   feature the scary black monsters roaming our streets.

"A while back Bill O’Reilly, the most watched TV personality on Fox News, ran a series of stories on what he suggests is a “racially motivated” attack on two white journalists in Norfolk, Virginia that he claimed was covered up by the local press. As Buzzfeed’s McKay Coppins details, the facts reveal a different reality: a rock was thrown at a car, the occupants had an argument with a group of men and a fight ensued. The reporters were not severely injured. Although an unfortunate incident in a city that is struggling with violent crime, it was neither particularly noteworthy or an anomaly. In fact, the newspaper for which the journalists worked thought the event was a non-story. This did not deter Bill O’Reilly. He could frame the story as part of a national race war by introducing one fact--the victims of the assault were white and the perpetrators were black.

The National Review’s Thomas Sowell legitimated this narrative of a race war against whites in a column which circulated widely throughout the Right-wing media and blogosphere. There he listed a series of such assaults in major cities such as Chicago, New York, Cleveland, and Los Angeles, which involved groups of young black people committing random assaults on pedestrians, robbing people of their cell phones and Ipods, and fighting on beaches and in malls...

"...As Sowell observes,”What the authorities and the media seem determined to suppress is that the hoodlum elements in many ghettoes launch coordinated attacks on whites in public places.” Apparently, in the conservative imagination there is a nationwide plot and a scheme to silence white pain and anger as they are made the targets of systematic, brutal, anti-white racism.

The Conservative media’s race war narrative falls apart when one encounters the facts. In an effort to stir up white anxiety, these stories ignore that violent crime in the United States has been declining for decades. Oftentimes, these mob attacks are either random street crimes or actually a byproduct of long standing feuds.." [Source] (h/t Mike)

Isn't it ironic how this fear of a black planet got amped up after the election of a beige president? It's as if it opened their eyes to the realization that, if not checked, the Negro could actually gain some real institutional power in America.

Of course creating fear in the hearts of the majority population by making the Negro some type of monster to be feared is nothing new. Various groups used it quite effectively in the past to terrorize blacks folks. Nothing has changed. We just have a different name for those who would terrorize and they have become more sophisticated with their terror tactics.

"Up through the first half of the 20th century, The New York Times featured many news items about “giant negroes” who would attack police, any innocent white people nearby, and have to be brought down by overwhelming police violence. In an eerie foreshadowing of the conservative media at present, The New York Times archive also contains stories with headlines such as the following: “Mobs of Blacks Retaliate for Riots”; “Negro Mob Terrorizing the Citizens of Jacksonville”; “Negro Mob in South Shouts for Lynching”; and “Negro Mob Killed Sheriff.”

Yes, we get it. It's why a certain vigilante in Central Florida can always count on online donations and support from certain people. He took out one of the "giant Negroes". Stop me if you have heard this one before: "Why is that man in jail? He deserves a medal."

"The conservative media’s pandering to fears of black violence is a sophisticated effort. The race war must be brought home to predominantly white areas. Places like Iowa and Wisconsin do not have large populations of black people; but in the conservative media, this is no protection from the race war apparently being waged against white Americans. The Daily Caller and other conservative websites repeatedly featured coverage of what was labeled as “beat whitey night” a state fair in Iowa. The conservative media doubled down on their “white folks imperiled even in Red State rural America” meme by giving extensive coverage to how white people were ambushed and beaten at a similar event in Wisconsin." [Story]

Now most of these white folks who fear the black planet will see black folks mostly on television and in movies throughout their lives. These are not people who travel much or get outside of their comfort zone. They don't interact with you Negroes on a regular basis. The one who calls himself their president is the one they hate the most. Because he always appears to them from a position of power. To them, he is the most dangerous Negro of all.

The new majority.

"But then you had another Negro out in the field. The house Negro was in the minority. The masses--the field Negroes were the masses. They were in the majority. When the master got sick, they prayed that he'd die. If his house caught on fire, they'd pray for a wind to come along and fan the breeze"

Sadly, this might have been true in 1963 when brother Malcolm gave that speech, but the field Negro is no longer in the majority here in America. That distinction now belongs to the house Negro. Yes, the field Negroes were the masses when X gave that historic speech, but that was a different time.

Malcolm X gave that speech when America was on the verge of making great strides in civil rights and towards social justice. The masses could be counted on to fight for justice and equal rights, and to take to the streets if they had to. Negroes in the fields were sick and tired of living in an unequal society and they were willing to put in the work to bring about change.

Not anymore. If you tell a Negro now that we should march for social or economic justice he or she would look at you like you were smoking sherm. "March!? Nigger you must be crazy. The only thing I am marching for is a big screen TV or some p*&&y!" The house Negro is happy in A-merry-ca, he is cool with the status quo. And why shouldn't he be? The poorest house Negro in America is living better than some of the wealthier Negroes in Third World countries. He can eat in the same restaurants with the white man, date the white man's daughter, and live in the same neighborhood if he can afford it.The house Negro has arrived.

Now don't get it twisted; you Negroes have a history of being apathetic when it comes to things that should be important to you. But back in the day they had dynamic leaders and enough field Negroes to pull the rest of you Negroes kicking and screaming to the front lines of the numerous battles that were being fought.

That is no longer the case. There are just too many distractions to keep Negroes happy and content in the house these days.

Oh well, maybe the Xbox folks can come up with a new civil rights game. Hey, at least that would be a start.

An excited mother and an even more excited voter.

Before I start this post let me apologize to Chris Curtis, Charles Major and my man Norm Bond. I should have been hanging with them via a video chat tonight, but I just couldn't get this tech thing down. Sorry guys, maybe next time.

Now for my post:

Some of you know how I feel about the over the top celebrations of high school graduations. I have blogged about it in the past. I am not crazy about making a big deal about getting past the first step in what should be a long educational process. Still, I understand the importance of having a family member achieve an educational goal, and that to some families a high school diploma is somewhat of a big deal.

Having said that, I truly don't know what to make of my cousin Shannon going crazy at her daughter's graduation down in South Carolina. Shannon could have chilled a little bit, but did they really have to arrest her?

"A Myrtle Beach teen's high school graduation on Saturday was ruined when her excited mom, Shannon Cooper, was arrested for cheering.

Although parents were reportedly warned that they would be asked to leave the auditorium where the ceremony was held if they applauded for individual students receiving their diplomas, Cooper disagreed with the policy. She told WPDE NewsChannel 15 that she decided, "I'm going to cheer, because…I've gone through too much to get her to this point." She added incredulously, "I can't let her know 'I'm so proud of you?'"

When her daughter Iesha crossed the stage, Cooper claims that, "I got up and I said: 'Yay, my baby made it! Just a regular cheer.'" That's when police handcuffed her, escorted her to a van outside of the venue, and charged her with disorderly conduct. After the ceremony, her daughter broke down in tears when she spotted her mom being held in the van. "Are ya'll serious? Are ya'll for real? I mean, that's what I'm thinking in my mind," says Cooper. "I didn't say anything. I was just like okay, I can't fight the law." She challenges the validity of the disorderly conduct charge since she says she fully cooperated with police. She and her daughter also assert that others were cheering and avoided arrest."
[Story]

OK, I am not crazy about Shannon cheering on her daughter, but an arrest? I still can't get over that. Man they sure love locking up you Negroes in some parts of the country. Had that been Mrs....oh never mind, you all know what I was going to say.

That teen's high school graduation was not ruined because of her mom's actions. It was ruined because of the actions of the local po po.

Finally, I know that a lot of you liberals were pissed when wingnut governor, Scott Walker, beat back his recall last night. But I honestly did not know that you folks in cheese country were so passionate about your politics.

MILWAUKEE - It must have stung for Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett to call Gov. Scott Walker and concede defeat Tuesday night, but not nearly as much as the slap he got from a supporter angry over his concession speech.
Shortly after 10 p.m. local time, Barrett took the stage at his election night rally in downtown Milwaukee. By then, networks had projected Walker as the winner of the recall race.

"I just got off the phone with Gov. Walker and congratulated him on his victory tonight," Barrett said, prompting boos from the crowd. "We agreed that it is important for us to work together."
"No!" shouted the crowd.

Afterwards, as Barrett greeted his supporters, a woman approached him and reportedly asked, "Can I slap you?" Barrett replied that he would prefer that she hugged him, so he leaned down, anticipating a hug but instead got the slap that she had requested. In the video of the incident, Barrett's head jerks back from the slap. [Source]

Now I do not support assaulting anyone, it is against the law and it goes contrary to what we are trying to achieve in a civilized society. So in no way do I condone what this woman did to Mayor Barrett. But.... let's just say that I understand it.

I know what a lot of you are thinking: Wouldn't it be be nice if this woman could just go down to Washington and start slapping folks?

N-words in celebrity land, and a Pennsylvania Shell game.

I swear you Negroes are so sensitive. White folks just don't know how to act around you. Pretty soon you won't have any friends at all. Poor Gwyneth Paltrow. She tried to be down with you all and all she got for her troubles was a twitter firestorm. Come on now, what's a little "N-word" between friends?

Anyway, some of you celebrity Negroes who are used to white folks (unlike those Negroes in the hood who never see white folks) are jigging coming to Gwyneth's defense.

"...a couple of nights ago, a similar milestone occurred in Paris with Jay and Kanye's Watch The Throne Tour. It was at this show that my friend Gwyneth Paltrow tweeted something that got me a little twisted. I follow Gwyneth on Twitter and when I saw her tweet about the “N*ggas in Paris” show in PARIS, I said ‘Damn everybody is there but me.’ I’m a bit older and I don’t get to jet-set to concerts like I used to, but when I saw Gwyneth was there, I must admit, I got a little jealous. The tweet she sent has since angered some in the black community, since she used the n-word. But when I saw it, it didn’t faze me - not even one bit.

I have to throw my hand up and stand up for Gwyneth. I know her intentions were not to be offensive ... she was just proud of her friend, Jay-Z. My words are in defense of her.

I don’t have a permanent answer to the n-word controversy that appeases everyone. I remember when I tried to fix it and said we should maybe beep that word and a few others on the radio, Oprah quoted me as if I said not to use the n-word. However, for the record, I have NEVER told any artist not to use that word or any word in my life and I never will; a poet can choose their own words to describe whatever they want in their art."

Ahhhm....Russell, I have a news flash for you: Gwyneth is not a poet. But I get your point. Still, if I was Gwyneth, I would just stop hanging around you Negroes.

Finally, as another governor fights for his political life tonight, my governor is busy selling out Pistolvania to Shell Oil. $1.7 Billion??!! That can buy a lot of school books.

My friend Will Bunch wrote an excellent article exposing Governor Big Oil:

"They are the world's second largest corporation by revenue, and last year Royal Dutch Shell made an astronomical $31 billion in profits - more than triple what the global oil giant was earning just two years earlier.

But Gov. Corbett apparently doesn't think the hard-earned cash you fork over every time you pull into a Shell station is enough.

He wants to give them your tax dollars, too - perhaps as much as about $1.7 billion over the next 25 years.

It would actually be too kind to call Corbett's corporate-welfare scheme involving Shell's planned ethane-cracking plant on Pennsylvania's far western border a tax break - because the deal has already won state approval to avoid taxes, in a specially created Keystone Opportunity Zone. So this proposed new deal - which was being negotiated in secret until long-time Harrisburg journalist Pete DeCoursey broke the news Monday - is essentially just a straight-up cash giveaway to Big Oil.

For a facility it is already planning to build here.

In the state where it arguably would have been built anyway without a single dollar of tax incentives, since this is where ethane wells are already being drilled.

Did I mention that this is the same Tom Corbett who wants struggling unemployed folks getting food stamps to prove they don't have money stashed away, whose steep 2011 cuts to school funding deeply exacerbated an education crisis that's risking everything from school plays in Upper Darby to the janitor who cleans your son's classroom here in Philadelphia? I guess janitors didn't realize the threshold to get Corbett's attention is $31 billion.

"It's essentially a big giveaway of money we didn't have, to attract a company we were already getting," said Sharon Ward, the director of the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center, a progressive think tank, who called the proposal "unprecedented." [Article]

This is not "unprecedented" this is the new normal here in America: Corporations first, people second. Oh wait...corporations are people. Never mind.

Children stories.

I saw a deep story on 60 Mintues last night. It was the one where the ten year old son of a Neo- Nazi leader shot him to death in his own home. That story had so many layers to it. My first thought was that it was just a case of "the chickens coming home to roost"; that this hate filled dude had it coming to him, and the fact that his killer was his own son made the whole thing that more prophetic. Now I am not so sure. The fact that this dude was a Neo-Nazi probably had nothing to do with why he was killed by this little monster. Yes, they were teaching him to hate at home, but by all accounts this child was born a monster. He might have taken out his old man if he was a guy who fed the poor every day and was up for a citizen of the year award.

I thought of that 60 Minute story today when I read a story about a gun range in Texas that is hosting children's birthday parties. Most of you Second Amendment (pro) gun folks will say that there is nothing wrong with this, but it sure seems like Chuck E. Cheese would be a better spot for the rugrats to get busy to me.

I can't stress enough how much our culture of guns and violence is destroying our society.

"A new gun range opening this summer in Lewisville, Texas, will have two rooms available for hosting children's birthday parties. Owner David Prince tells WFAA that the Eagle Gun Range will be available for children as young as eight years old.

"The age limit is eight years old. You have to be tall enough to get above the shooting table," Prince said. "They're not gonna be left unattended. Parents are gonna be one-on-one, or if there's not enough parents we'll have range safety officers here to show them how to do it safely."

While it may seem unusual to celebrate pairing young children with guns, it's not an entirely unique practice. Last November, an Arizona gun club hosted a day of Christmas photos, where children could post with a man dressed as Santa Clausand semiautomatic weapons. That event reportedly drew hundreds of attendees.

The soon-to-open Texas gun range has reportedly been well received by locals, though some nearby residents say they are opposed to letting such young children handle live firearms.  [Source]

I don't think that when the Second Amendment was adopted into the Bill of Rights in 1791 eight year old children were to be a part of that "well regulated Militia". But hey, that's just me.

Speaking of children, can one of you Negroes explain to me what the hell is going on with our children? Please look at this facebook posting and tell me what is going on here, because I must have missed the part in school where they said it was cool to have children out of wedlock.

There are now reality shows on television glorifying teen pregnancy, and the four sick young ladies on this facebook page is the end result of that type of sick misplacement of our priorities.

My man Sharif wrote a post about "Speaking To The Youth" on his new blog, but I have to wonder if speaking will help. Honestly, when I see stuff like this, I want big mama to take a switch to their ignorant behinds.

Finally, I am staying with the children's theme:
*
Is anyone in America looking for *this child?  We never stopped looking for Etan Patz, why should Hassani Campbell be any different?

"Zoom"

"I may be just a foolish dreamer
But I don't care 'Cause I know my happiness is waiting out there somewhere

I'm searching for that silver lining
Horizons that I've never seen.."

Lional Richie wrote a great song back in the day called Zoom. Zoom was all about folks dreaming their way out of their condition.

Unfortunately you can't just dream your way out of your condition. It won't go away if you go to church every Sunday. It won't go away if you party every Saturday night,  it won't go away if you get high every day, and it sure as hell won't go away if you sit on your ass all day and wish it would.

I write a lot about injustice and institutionalized racism, and I write a lot about individual racism as well. I do it because all these things are still very much ingrained in our culture and our way of life here in America. But the best way to fight racism and injustice is to fight back. You fight back by getting off your ass and trying to improve your condition. If that means going back to school and getting a GED then so be it. If that means cutting loose that no good man or woman who has been dragging you down, then so be it. If it means you have to get up a little earlier and go to work, or stay a little later when you are at work, then so be it. The bottom line is that nothing that rewards you in a positive way will ever come easy.

"I'd like to greet the sun each morning
And walk amongst the stars at night
I'd like to know the taste of honey in my life..."

You can do all those things , maybe not literally but it will certainly feel like it.

Here is how you do it:

Find a good partner in your life; someone you can love uncondionally who will love you back. Find a job you like doing and work the heck out of it. Try to understand what is truly valuable in your life and work to make sure that it never goes away.

"I wish the world were truly happy
Living as one
I wish the word they call freedom someday would come
Someday would come"

The world will never truly be happy. And we sure as hell will never live as one. But the "word they call freedom" is already here. Now it's up to you to act on it.

I lie, I owe, so off to jail I go.

Before I drop this next post I want to acknowledge all the beautiful people I met at the Blogging While Brown conference over the past two days. (Anslem,I see you doing big things at Jet Magazine. Congrats! Sean, congrats on your big move to the Mayor's office in the Big D as well.) You all are some serious field Negroes. Folks like Nathan from the Color Curve, Curvy CEO,Brotha Tech , Darryl from From Ashey to Classy, (loved being on the panel with you and Slim Jackson) Lamar and his beautiful family still holding it down in ATL, Soca Mom, a fellow West Indian, (and republican to boot) putting in work for her family among you Negroes in D.C., and a beautiful sister from the Chi who knows a thing or two about wines.

Props to Gina for getting this thing going five years ago, it's only going to get bigger and bigger.

Now on to some bad news: I loved how Evander Holyfield put in work in the boxing ring back in the day, that's why I want to help him with his latest little problem.

"Evander Holyfield was one of the great boxing stars of the 1990s and amassed more than a quarter of a billion dollars in purses during his illustrious career. Apparently, though, $250 million doesn't go as far as it used to.
Holyfield, who filed bankruptcy in Fayette County, Ga., in 2008, reportedly owes in excess of $372,000 in child support and may wind up in jail if he does not resolve the issue, according to a TMZ report.

In both 2008 and 2009, his massive 54,000 square-foot home in Fairburn, Ga., went into foreclosure. The home, which sits on 104 acres, has 109 rooms, including 17 bathrooms, three kitchens and a bowling alley. He's had numerous financial issues in the years since.

On Saturday, TMZ reported that the Georgia Department of Human Services has gone to court on behalf of Holyfield's 18-year-old daughter. It alleged he owes $372,097.40 in child support that has gone unpaid since April 2010. According to a 2009 report in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Holyfield has child support payments of more than $500,000 a year. He has at least 11 children." [Source]

Champ, I know a thing or two about this child support thing, so please give me a call ASAP so that I can help you out with this problem. I do not want to see you go to jail for owing child support.

I  could refer you to a wonderful financial planner as well, but unfortunately it might be a bit late for that.

Finally, it looks like a certain person from Central Florida will have to turn himself in to authorities after lying to the court about his finances.

This probably will not come up at trial, because it is not relevant to what happened on that tragic night. But credibility is always an issue with the court. Especially when the other witness to what happened is dead.

Did he have the fava beans and chianti?

Black Zombies sounds like the name of a rock band. But sadly, it represents something much more serious.

I honestly do not know what is wrong with you Negroes. You have been living around certain folks  for too long. This is the second horrific case of zombie type behavior in the last few days, and this one is even more horrific than the other. WTF? You kill and eat your roommate? Hey, I have had some bad roommates in my day, but I never wanted to kill and eat the mother &^%$#r.

"The alleged killer admitted to chopping up his roommate with a knife and eating his heart and part of his brain in Joppa, Md., about 17 miles northeast of Baltimore. According to arresting documents, police found two metal tins containing a human head and hands in the basement of Kinyua's home.

The remains are believed to be those of Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, a Ghanian immigrant who had been living with Kinyua for about six months and was reported missing last week..."

Lord have mercy! You send your poor child off to America and he ends up in some sickos stomach?

I really do hope this is not a trend. I am already seriously considering vegetarian lifestyle. It's bad enough that some of you Americans are eating your pets,  but now you re eating your roommates as well. We live in sick times my friends. Truly sick times.

Speaking of sick times, Bubba is joining Cory Booker in defending Flipper and his Bain record and telling his Oness and his peeps to leave him alone. Hmmm, Bubba always has something up his sleeve; I wonder what motivated his latest rant?

And before you wingnuts have multiple orgasms about this latest shot at O, just remember that in the same rant he predicted that O would win the general election by five or six points.

Anyway, It doesn't matter who wins in 2012, I am sure that we can look for Hillary to make a comeback in 2016. Bubba might want to save his political smarts for her campaign. I am sure that he wouldn't mind living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue again.

Finally, I am looking forward to speaking at Blogging While Brown tomorrow. I stopped by today and there was a full house. It seemed well organized and informative, and I enjoyed meeting some of my fellow bloggers face to face.

Welcome to Philly everyone.

American double standards, and Artur defects.

You ever wonder why there are different rules in A-merry-ca for different people?

Now I am no Diddy fan. But why is his kid catching heat from certain folks because he got a merit based football scholarship and his daddy has a few million dollars in the bank? Doesn't this happen all the time? Why should the Combs family give back the money? The children of rich folks get scholarships all the time and you never hear a word about it. But I suppose, that in some circles,  this is different.

Sorry, I have issues with UCLA for other reasons. Giving Diddy's son a free ride is fine with me if he deserves it.

"In an interview with CNN, education contributor Dr. Steve Perry defended Combs' merit-based scholarship, saying he earned it fair and square. At the Upstate New York prep school where Combs recently graduated, he maintained a 3.75 GPA while playing cornerback for the football team.

"He's done what he needs to do to be successful and in 'Ameritocracy' we have to accept that no matter who your father is, whether he be rich, poor or absent, that you can in fact be successful on your own merit," Perry said."

Yes Dr. Perry, even a rich Negro father.

You ever wonder how it is that when certain people commit heinous crimes there are all kinds of excuses made for them? "He was happy sometimes, but not really. He was kind of disgruntled.."

Take this dude in my sister's hometown of Seattle, for instance. This guy took out five total strangers and they are saying that he had "psychiatric problems". No s^%*! If you kill five people just because you can, I would say that there is something wrong with you: You are a psycho killer. Not just "disgruntled". You are no different than these little urban thugs who kill for drug money or because they were disrespected.

But we are used to this type of double standard here in America. Certain people snuff out their kids and they end up in a mental hospital. Certain people, on the other hand, not so much.

Finally, I want to talk about my man Artur Davis. Artur is the dude who thought that his black ass could win a statewide election in Alabama. Artur is still mad at you Negroes for not supporting him in his run for Gov. So now, Artur, like a good house Negro, is taking his jigging skills to the republican party. Yes, Artur has defected from you democrats.

"After GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s failed attempt to ingratiate himself with black voters last week the Republican Party is cheering the defection of one time Congressional Black Caucus member Artur Davis of Alabama. The former Democratic Congressman and candidate for governor has grown disenchanted with the party and become a Republican. This move brings a legitimate African-American political figure into the fold of the GOP, while simultaneously giving the Republican Party a chance appeal to appeal to a broader coalition of voters. Davis told Fox News that he made his decision in part because he is disappointed in President Obama and the direction that the country is headed under his leadership.

Davis, who is certainly no stranger to controversy, is one of just a handful of Democrats that opposed the president’s health care reform bill and the only member of the CBC to vote against it. Davis is defending his decision to leave the Democratic Party and argues that the party is intolerant of those who do not tow the partisan line." [Source]

Artur is free to join whatever gang he pleases, but Artur is wrong to support people who would trample over our precious right to vote.

"Former U.S. Rep. Artur Davis, who represented Alabama in Congress as a Democrat, stole the show at a Houston voter ID summit last weekend, according to a post at the right-leaning Center for Individual Freedom (CFIF). In a speech, Davis compared some of the worst abuses perpetrated on blacks during the Civil Rights Movement to the requirement that a voter offer photo ID before receiving a ballot

“This is not a billy club,” Davis reportedly said, holding up a photo ID. “This is not a fire hose…. This is not Jim Crow….”

The speech came at a summit for True the Vote, which CFIF fellow Quin Hillyer described as “a growing, bipartisan, multi-racial, national movement to ensure that elections are conducted with integrity and without polling-place antagonism.” Brentin Mock, writing at TheNation.com, called the voter fraud issue True the Vote addresses a “hoax” and said the group is affiliated with Tea Party groups." Yes, Artur "stole the show". A good jig to will do that every time.

Fake video footage and very real voter suppression.

You would think that with all that money they have available to them (Almost a billion and counting.Thank you Supremes.) the news network for dummies would come up with a better ad. for attacking his Oness. We are used to FOX making up stuff to suit their narrative, but actually putting fake footage in an ad is over the top for an organization that styles itself as a legitimate news network. (Stop laughing. They really do think that they are legitimate)

Update:

"Fox News’ Executive Vice President of Programming, Bill Shine, tells Yahoo News, “The package that aired on ‘Fox & Friends’ was created by an associate producer and was not authorized at the senior executive level of the network.”

Stay classy winnguts; blame the "associate producer". The GOP already got their $100,000 worth of air time free of charge.

Someone needs to tell Flipper that if he plans to become president of the United States, it would help to learn how to spell A-m-e-r-i-c-a.

And I know, I know, as someone who likes to make up my own words and butcher the spelling of various words from time to time, I have no room to talk. But hey, I am not running for president of these divided states, and I am not paid a ton money to help run and coordinate a presidential campaign.

Finally, I am glad that the AG took my advice and is all over this attack on our right to vote here in America.

Attorney General Eric Holder told African-American clergy leaders Wednesday that a wave of new state laws on voting and legal challenges to the Voting Rights Act of 1965 may jeopardize rights they helped fight for in the civil rights era.

"Despite our nation's long tradition of extending voting rights ... a growing number of our fellow citizens are worried about the same disparities, divisions and problems that - nearly five decades ago - so many fought to address," Holder told a meeting of the Conference of National Black Churches convened by the Congressional Black Caucus to discuss the laws.

"In my travels across the country, I've heard a consistent drumbeat of concern from citizens, who - often for the first time in their lives - now have reason to believe that we are failing to live up to one of our nation's most noble ideals. And some of the achievements that defined the civil rights movement now hang in the balance."

Holder spoke in response to an array of new voting measures enacted by several mostly Republican state governments that proponents say are needed to protect against voter fraud and to prevent illegal immigrants from voting. However, the mostly Democratic black caucus - along with several civil rights, voting rights and civil liberties groups - contends that the laws are really efforts to suppress the votes of minorities and others.

Since last year, at least 15 states have passed laws that include requiring people to show government-approved photo identification or proof of citizenship before they register or vote. Other changes that states have adopted or some legislatures are considering include restricting voter-registration efforts by third-party groups, such as the League of Women Voters and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People; curtailing or eliminating early voting; doing away with same-day voter registration; and rescinding the voting rights of convicted felons who have served their time.

A study last year by the Brennan Center for Justice at New York University says the changes could restrict voting access to 5 million people, most of them minorities, elderly or poor. The NAACP estimates that about 25 percent of African-Americans don't possess the proper documentation to meet ID requirements in some states; the figure is 11 percent for the overall population." Now I need all of you Negroes to get off your butts and start paying attention to what is happening in your country. People died so that you all could have the rights that you enjoy, now they are being chipped away by back room deals and greedy and unscrupulous poli-tricksters. Wake the f*&k up!

And for the record, some of you house Negroes who choose to side with these people ---who would take away the hard fought rights of your people---- are no better than the lone sell out who gave up Denmark Vesey 190 years ago today.
