A colleague of mine reminded me today that we met Judge Robert Simpson last year at a Bench Bar Conference in Atlantic City. I thought about it and remembered that he was a pretty unassuming and modest guy.(*You need a lot of money to run for Judge in Pistolvania*) Although I must say that he didn't strike me as being particularly bright. And now, given his ruling today on the Pistolvania voter ID law, my reservations about him have been confirmed. (*You need a lot of money to run for Judge in Pistolvania*)
Robert Simpson used to be a democrat, but now he is a republican. (*You need a lot of money to run for Judge in Pistolvania*) Mitt Romney should start every speech from here until November by thanking Robert Simpson. Judge Simpson's ruling today (*You need a lot of money to run for Judge in Pistolvania*) might have just guaranteed Mitt Romney the 2012 election for president.
Judge Simpson ruled today that the republican voter ID law in Pistolvania could be implemented for election day. (*You need a lot of money to run for Judge in Pistolvania*) He said that the plaintiffs did not meet the burden of proving that the law violated the state's constitution. Hmmm, I thought that there was a stricter scrutiny when it comes to voting rights here in America? "The right to vote is preservative of other basic civil and political rights". Even following the less strict scrutiny of a fundamental right as a opposed to being in a suspect class, this Pennsylvania law should have been tossed out. -Especially since the state said that they had no reason to implement it in the first place because they could not document any instances of voter fraud.- (*You need a lot of money to run for Judge in Pistolvania*)
“Petitioners did not establish . . . that disenfranchisement was immediate or inevitable,” Simpson wrote, adding, “I was convinced that Act 18 will be implemented by Commonwealth agencies in a nonpartisan, evenhanded manner.”
"Nonpartisan", Judge? Tell that to Honest Mike Turzai, the republican house majority leader in our fine state. Mr. Turzai is pretty sure the law is "partisan". In fact, he is bragging about it.
"Voter ID, which is gonna allow Governor Romney to win the state of Pennsylvania, done.”
Well, not quite "done" Mike, but you are close.
Republicans have been outraged that Joe Biden said that republicans want us "back in chains". Well folks, I have some news for you; Joe Biden might have been right.

Jobu, clearly you are a legend in your own mind. Or you could say you are a wit with dunces, and a dunce with wits.
That new firm you found, I think I heard of it, they formerly were called the Purple Knob Gobblers.
You really think that you have a market on math? You know math better than others because you learned a few terms. Only a peasent would use the term root means square, it's better known as quadratic mean in more intellectual circles.
Again, I applaud you for being the first family member to be born without a tail. You might want to find something else to anchor yourself with however as for some reason your head is full of hot air and self congratulory feelings. Despite being mundane and unimpressive.
So now what exactly were you trying to communicate? You announced you found a new polling firm, that you didnt understand their results as they weren't transparent enough for you or dumbed down sufficiently. And again made some stab at Dick Morris. This isn't the first time, do you not like Dick?

Every journey starts with one step at a time, so send me the first 10 names and reasons and away we will go. I will use them to set up resources as needed. I think the Philly gov't already has it covered though. No one would need go without or pay a penny, unless they wanted to or didnt want anyone to know they already had an acceptable ID.

ReplyDeleteAcceptable forms of photo identification include IDs issued by the federal or state government, such as municipalities, accredited public or private schools, and care facilities. Citizens who cannot produce an approved form of ID may still cast a provisional ballot provided that the person delivers proof of identification within six days after the election. The law imposes a similar ID requirement for absentee ballots.
Pennsylvania’s Department of Transportation is charged with issuing free identification cards. For those who cannot afford the minimal cost of supporting documentation, such as a birth certificate, their votes will still count if they sign an affirmation that they can’t afford the cost.
The challengers claimed that many citizens will be disenfranchised or severely burdened by the photo ID requirement. At a trial in July, the challengers put forth testimony regarding the number of registered voters supposedly without certain types of photo ID (e.g., drivers licenses) as of June 2012, but others have noted that most of these voters have other approved IDs that they use to pass through airport security or get into government buildings.
No, there are six; the seventh is awaiting trial.
ReplyDeleteTherefore this case will be tabled until after the case is resolved.

So what about the issues the some election districts in Philly have been known to to produce results that tallied more than 100 percent of the number of registered voters?
How do you get more votes than if you counted everyone living in the city? How could something happen without Fraud?
Field, how many of these districts did you hear about? Do you live in one of them? That is why Obama will lose in Philly now, only real and eligible voters will be able to cast a vote. Moonbats will have to play by the same rules as the rest of us for a change.

ReplyDeleteI read somewhere recently that actual proven incidents of voter fraud every year were so fractional as to be statistically insignificant. True, if someone showed up at my voting place to & used my name, he would probably get away with it, unless the elderly woman downstairs was there, as she usually is, picking up what polling place workers earn these days. I usually bring my sample ballot & hand that over so they can use it look up my name & address. Much more common than fraud are misplaced voter records when district lines change or the voter has moved. I was almost denied my vote because of that, closing time was approaching, the workers taking an "Oh well, too bad" attitude. I was raised by my Republican dad to vote. He said quite bluntly that people who didn't vote had no right to complain about government. I yelled long & loud, that I would call the damned newspapers, until someone called the city clerk , good man, who ordered, "Do not prevent that voter from voting" & was there in five minutes with an emergency ballot. The idea of preventing citizens from voting in order to win an election is anathema to me.

-------------
You did? Well gawd-damn Bob. Was that Newsweek? Or maybe the New York Times? Perhaps it was Obama's website.
In 2004, Democrat Christine Gregoire lost the race for Governor to Dino Rossi by 504 votes. After three recounts of provisional ballots that had been rejected plus several boxes of uncounted ballots that turned up in someone's trunk, Gregoire was declared the winner, by 129 votes.
In 2008, Democrat Al Franken lost the initial vote count in the Minnesota Senate race by 725 votes to Norm Coleman. After 6 months of recounting, a process in which democratic precincts kept finding boxes of absentee ballots to count, Franken was declared the winner, by 312 votes. An analysis completed in 2010 concluded that over 1,300 felons had illegally voted in the 2008 eleciton.
And of course you remember the 2000 presidential election, where Bush beat Gore by 900 votes in Florida on election. Thankfully, Democrat efforts to gin that recount were thwarted and Bush was declared the winner. In that election, thousands of felons were illegally allowed to vote. Felons are a very reliable democrat constituency.
Voter fraud is real, and pays results. In my home town of St. Louis, we routinely have inner-city districts that exceed 100% turnout. That's an impressive level of fraud.
Every time someone casts a fraudulent vote, that disenfranchises a legitimate voter. Why don't democrats care about the voting rights of legitimate voters?

ReplyDeleteAre you really that dumb?
Because democrats vote multiple times using false names.
Because illegal aliens vote.
Because ineligible felons vote.
Because thousands of fake absentee ballots are sent in for dead people and the mentally disabled.
Asking for an ID is reasonable response to prevent some of this fraud.
There is an implied notion here that individuals, specifically minorities, are not smart enough to figure out how to obtain proper identification. Liberals are notoriously known for claiming to be the champions of minority rights and equality, while invoking that the federal government must be the spokesperson for them because they are simply incapable of thinking on their own. What exactly is preventing young people and minorities from filling out forms needed to acquire a photo ID?
ReplyDeleteAll Americans should reject this rhetoric. It is a common class warfare antic used by the Left to divulge attention from voter fraud and system inadequacies, and attempt to paint voter ID activists and advocates as racially motivated and bent on taking away votes from President Obama and other Democratic candidates.
The Left’s claim that voter identification affects turnout is preposterous. It’s a weak attempt to suggest that voters will be held back from voting for Obama due to stringent requirements, and not the simple fact that they are dismayed and dissatisfied with the president’s policies and the direction the U.S. economy is headed.
Hey man, just get an ID.

ReplyDeleteMitt Romney’s Rope-a-Dope with Reverend Al Sharpton
ReplyDeleteBy Mark Donahue
NEW YORK – After Saturday’s announcement that Rep. Paul Ryan would be his running mate in the race for the White House, Mitt Romney agreed to a question and answer session on MSNBC’s “Politics Nation” with host, Reverend Al Sharpton. Following is a transcript of that interview:
AL SHARPTON: Thank you for joining us in this day of heated exchanges and profabricated dialogue Mr. Mitt.
MITT ROMNEY: It’s my pleasure, sir.
AL SHARPTON: You may call me Reverend.
MITT ROMNEY: Sure, Reverend.
AL SHARPTON: Now let me get right to the root of the canal of problems in the political climate we here in America call politics.
MITT ROMNEY: Sure.
AL SHARPTON: You have a horse.
MITT ROMNEY: I have several horses actually.
AL SHARPTON: Several? That’s a lot of horses.
MITT ROMNEY: I’m fortunate enough to be in the position to …
AL SHARPTON: Your fortune, if estimated, would askew to astronomical proportions.
MITT ROMNEY: I have been blessed with great success.
AL SHARPTON: What you call a blessing could be corkscrewed by people of color as a rampid case of being white in America.
MITT ROMNEY: Actually I feel my success came from working hard.
AL SHARPTON: Are you reflexing that people of color don’t work?
MITT ROMNEY: I believe that anybody of any color can be successful if they work hard.
AL SHARPTON: Would you admit to the difficulties constrained with fighting racism while attempting to work hard in today’s post relations America?
MITT ROMNEY: I’m not sure I understand.
AL SHARPTON: Mr. Mitt, are you now or have you never been a racist?
MITT ROMNEY: Of course not.
AL SHARPTON: Do you have the clarity to gesticulate that statement?
MITT ROMNEY: Pardon?
AL SHARPTON: When was the last time you invited an African American child of color to play with your children?
MITT ROMNEY: I don’t think ….
AL SHARPTON: Will you tell me now on national television if you would allow an African American to be alone with your children?
MITT ROMNEY: My children are adults now, so it’s really not up to me to determine who they associate with.
AL SHARPTON: Mr. Mitt, do any of your children associate with adulterated African Americans?
MITT ROMNEY: They all associate with African Americans.
AL SHARPTON: Do you have proof that will legitamatize your claim?
MITT ROMNEY: Well, I don’t carry around photographs of my children with African Americans, no.
AL SHARPTON: So would it be incoherent to assume that without evidentuary exhibits before the court of public option that your children do not indeed associate with African Americans?
MITT ROMNEY: I have no idea what you just said.
AL SHARPTON: Should I get a rich white man to interpret for you?
MITT ROMNEY: (chuckles) I don’t know if you could find a person of any color to interpret what you just said.
AL SHARPTON: So in essential, you penetrate people of color because they don’t have enough money to interpret you?
MITT ROMNEY: (shrugs his shoulders) Gosh darn it, Reverend, I just don’t know what you’re asking.
AL SHARPTON: Since I am the professional news host of my own news show on MSNBC it’s imperatant that I ask the tough questions.
ReplyDeleteMITT ROMNEY: I wouldn’t expect anything less.
AL SHARPTON: Why, because I’m an African American?
MITT ROMNEY: Because you are a newscaster.
AL SHARPTON: A few years ago you murdered a white woman yet today you want to be the Commander of Chiefs.
MITT ROMNEY: I never murdered anyone.
AL SHARPTON: Her husband said you did.
MITT ROMNEY: Well, the poor man lost his ….
AL SHARPTON: If an African American man of color killed a white woman he’d be on death row in a pentecostiary.
MITT ROMNEY: That was a misleading ad, Reverend, and the Obama campaign ….
AL SHARPTON: And your new runner mate Private Ryan also killed a white woman. You guys are a killing machine.
MITT ROMNEY: Paul Ryan never killed anyone.
AL SHARPTON: I watched it on TV with my eyes. Pushed an old lady in a wheel chair over a clift.
MITT ROMNEY: Reverend, do you really believe …
Mitt/ Sharpton Interview continued
AL SHARPTON: Mr. Mitt, I have time for a final last question, so please be honest. When the American people hear of a felon who doesn’t pay his taxes and causes the death of innocent people, what name is going to pop into their head?
MITT ROMNEY: Why, Reverend Al Sharpton, of course.

The disgusting liberal brain is nauseating. You don't deserve to live in American you should live in a place where you get to literally fight with guns for votes like Jamaica or most African Countries.
Allright so you think you have a way to continues stealing from your fellow Americans and being a dishonest sack of shit that doesn't deserve to call yourself an American.
At least the truth is out, none of this weak pandering bullshit that Blacks are so weak, so feeble minded so useless they can't even get an ID, now you have clarified that it is just because they want to lie cheat and steal.
As usual your plan isn't so good to steal votes using Absentee Ballots, they will ask you for ID to obtain one and any groups like Acorn asking for volumes of them will be investigated and prosecuted.
B. Are there special rules for voting by absentee ballot?
Unless a voter is in the military or living overseas and applying for an absentee ballot, the voter must prove his/her identity by providing one of the following on an application for an absentee ballot:
1. The voter’s driver’s license number or PennDOT photo ID number, or
2. The last four digits of the voter’s Social Security number (if he/she doesn’t have a driver’s license), or
3. A copy of any photo ID that would be acceptable if the voter were voting in person at the polls (See Question A. in the previous section), or
4. A non-photo driver’s license or other non-photo ID issued by PennDOT (if the voter has a religious objection to being photographed).
For information on voting by absentee ballot, call 1-877-VOTESPA (1-877-868-3772) or go to: http://www.votespa.com/portal/server.pt/community/how_to_vote/13515/voting_by_absentee_ballot.

ReplyDeleteI swear, you black folks have always been such drama queens.
Likely voters, by a five-to-one margin, believe that America’s media is in President Obama’s pocket and will treat his candidacy better than challenger Mitt Romney’s as the election nears, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.
ReplyDeleteThe startling numbers point to an even more disturbing trend for the media: Reporters just aren’t trusted to deliver the news in an unbiased fashion. The proof: Rasmussen found that when it comes to information about the presidential campaign, 48 percent of likely voters trust friends and family while just 26 percent trust reporters.
In fact, it’s even worse than those two lead paragraphs in the story:
The poll found that 59 percent of likely voters believe that the media has given Obama better treatment than Romney, a view Team Obama doesn’t agree with. Just 18 percent believe the media has treated Romney better.
Whether or not “Team Obama” agrees is irrelevant. In politics, perception is reality. And the reality is a large majority of likely voters (the key demographic) find the media both bias and wanting in terms of fair, objective and balanced political reporting.
So what is the impact of this?
Well, for one, tuning the media out. Few people are likely to keep listening to or watching coverage don’t trust. One of the reasons for the rise of the new media is it provides an important “other side” to the coverage of politics.
Despite their protestations to the contrary, the mainstream media has been unable to convince almost 60% of the likely voters they’re unbiased and trustworthy. That has to come from somewhere when you talk those numbers. And it is unlikely it is only a figment of that 60%’s imagination. They see the bias as real and they don’t like it or trust what they consider the biased outlets.
If you’re wondering why CNN’s numbers are at an all time low or why newspapers are failing this is part of it. Meanwhile the new media is thriving. It may not be objective, but readers and viewers know that, because new media outlets make no bones about it. What these outlets provide is “the rest of the story”. And when the rest of the story comes out, and all the facts are on the table, not just what the mainstream media chose to use, it makes the mainstream medias bias apparent.
Obama has to think his followers are the stupidest people on the planet:
ReplyDelete“We’re going around the country, talking about, ‘How do we put people back to work? How do we improve our schools? How do we make sure that we’re producing American energy? How do we lower our debt in a responsible way?’ And I don’t think you or anybody who’s been watching the campaign would say that in any way we have tried to divide the country. We’ve always tried to bring the country together,” President Obama said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Why is the president doing interviews with People Magazine and Entertainment tonight and hasn't had a press conference in months and taken serious questions even longer. All he has done since labor day is campaign. Is he president? Doesn't seem like he read the job description.
Obama is back to his teleprompter and is "having lunch" with Biden/Hillary today.Oh-oh I smell trouble in moonbat land.
ReplyDeletePretty interesting contrast to watch Romney/Ryan talk without teleprompters and then see Obama/Biden....

So, because democrat scum might find different ways to cheat, we should just forget about the basic first step of requiring an ID?
I guess rational, honest, coherent thinking really is "fascinating" to a mentally and ethically challenged individual such as yourself.
If I were Biden, I'd keep my mouth shut and watch my back. If Obama keeps slipping in the polls, something unfortunate might 'happen' to Slow Joe.

How do we lower our debt in a responsible way?’ And I don’t think you or anybody who’s been watching the campaign would say that in any way we have tried to divide the country. We’ve always tried to bring the country together,” President Obama said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

ReplyDeleteObama has stifled private sector job growth, killed school choice, crippled the coal industry, banned offshore drilling, denied the Keystone pipeline. He has fabricated a phony 'War on Women', urged hispanic voters to "punish your enemies", set up a separate "African-Americans for Obama" campaign organization, and demonized the rich.
The man is a living, breathing, lie.

The number of voters not voting is interesting. 2-1 they favor Barack so that would mean that the country is alot more liberal than we thought. We know conservatives vote to create the kind of country they want us all to have but the disenchanted expected the prez to do more i.e. be more liberal and were disappointed. Looks like the liberal argument that the prez should have gone farther left holds some water. Maybe if he gets a second term he'll figure this out or maybe the next candidates.
ReplyDeleteIt is actually interesting to see into the minds of conservatives. So let's figure this one out. Democrats have to cheat to win elections so how do they do it? Let's see, some say they use illegal aliens. Illegal aliens usuallytry to stay below the radar so they won't get caught and deported. What's in it for them? Do the Dems pay them or make other promises? Not buying that one without proof. Convicted felons? Lets think about that one, they just got out of the pokie so now they would committ a felony that would send them right back? Yeah, good idea. An average joe to vote multiple times? That would require hundreds of people if not one person would have to vote many many times to effect an election. Now is this the national Dems or the local that organize these felony votes? Do they pay enough to not have those voting illegally squeal? I mean if I agreed to it I would extort more money go all Nino Brown on them. How about the hubbub over the Holder "stolen" ballot. For that to work they would have to find a Republican voter because most districts are heavily partisan and stealing the ballot of a voter that was going to vote the same way as the theif is just a waste of time. That doesn't make sense. The only voting fraud that seems to make sense is using absentee ballots and an ID won't prevent that. Maybe someone can go beyond simple talking points and show how voting fraud actually happens as the state of Pennsylvania was unable to do.
ReplyDeleteSomething tells me that if Obama were incapacitated an unable to function as president, Congress would refuse to bump Biden up to the top job.
ReplyDeleteOut of the blue, we'd see the Speaker of the House (or whoever gets the job after the VP) moved up instead.
Meanwhile, it's obvious even Democrats would rather see Paul Ryan replace an incapacitated president than Joe Biden.

Hey genius -- how was this poll verified? Or, did you simply read this claim on the Internet and figure you'd go with it?
So what's with all these Barack supporters who don't vote? Did they stay home in 2008 because they feared being arrested at the polls?

Uh yes, genius. Over 70% of illegal households collect some kind of federal handouts. That's more than legal immigrants (57%) or the general population (40%).
You work really hard to stay ignorant. It must take a lot of effort.

ReplyDeleteShame that the GOP strategery is not to have more citizens vote for GOP candidates...but to impede the exercise of the franchise by those who might not vote the way the GOP desires.
Odd that the majority declines to vote for GOP ideals.

These new VID laws are actually narrowly tailored to impact dem votes instead of klan votes. Major urban areas, (solid dem) contain those voters least likely to have drivers licenses, suburbs, (tending klan) are very hard for non-driving adults to live in. Rural areas, (solid klan) are entirely dependent on cars for transport and near universally licensed. Then you get into the types of acceptable ID: eg concealed carry permit (klan) = ok, college ID (dem) =not. Finally, you have to consider who, individually, is less or more likely to possess acceptable ID. The extremely poor (solid dem) = not; minorities (solid dem) = not; ex convicts, the homeless, the disabled and other marginalized people (tending dem) = not.
Since the 80s the klan has used (Lee Atwater's contribution) attack adds to drive down voter enthusiasm among targeted demographics, but as their own demographic base continues to shrink they'll have to exclude far more voters than they can convince to sit out an election in order to win. What we've seen this past 2 years with these (voter exclusion) roll purges, VID laws and other voting restrictions are just the beginning of the effort.
Go Whitey, go! Keep talking that sweet stuff! Next time I get fired from a QuckTrip for stealing, I'm a calling you to handle my lawsuit for sure!

The sad thing is this nitwit under disguise of sarcasm no doubt really believe this insanity.
So tell me how does one go about Brainwashing someone with Ads to stay home and not vote? Ever notice that every choice democrats make, every thing they do, fuck their entire lives are all the responsibility of someone else? What a way to live, full of excuses, rationalized with completely irrational excuses, sprinkled with nonsense.
None of what you say is even remotely true except for the part about you blowing the Black Pampers in the hood, because if everyone in the suburbs is a Klan member than only Pampers live in the hoods.
Imagine being a Black Man and hearing some disengenious little whiteboy who makes a living off of the claims of others telling them that Black folks are so stupid they cannot get an ID that the government is giving away for free. They cannot get a drivers license and maybe get a job driving because only white Klan folks in the suburbs need to drive. That they get brainwashed and convinced to stay home and not vote because of someone else saying something on an TV commercial.
How inept, incompetent and stupid do you really think Black People are? The type of person you describe belongs in locked room and needs to be hand fed because they can't function let alone think for themselves.
What else do you think it is real easy to brainwash those poor dumb black folk with?
These wingnuts are funny.
