It's that day again. The day we are all forced to remember that we are not as safe and insulated from the rest of the world as we would like to believe. And, of course, that human beings can be extremely evil and diabolical.
We all remember where we were and what we were doing that day some eleven years ago, and we all swore that our lives would change when it was over. Americans came together and the country was one big Kumbaya moment. We found out that there were plenty of heroes to go around, and that even a monumental tragedy doesn't prevent our government from doing inexplainable things.
It was fun while it lasted, and then we went back to being the same mean nasty divided country that we were before September 11, 2001. We are in that place now (mean and nasty) but, just for tonight, (unlike the classless former VP) I am not going to contribute to the cattiness.

With Obama doing as poorly as he is, Jimmy Carter is feeling less hated than he has in years.
Every year on this date I go down to Ground Zero.
ReplyDeleteEvery year there's always been a crowd of 9/11 Truthers marring the somberness and seriousness of the day with their lunatic rantings about explosives and buildings falling faster than gravity makes them.
This year I found just one lone nut-job ranting in Zuccotti Park across the street from Ground Zero.
His small crowd of listeners were mostly tourists who were only half sure of what he was saying.
Meanwhile, there wasn't a single Occupy idiot in sight. But it turned out they were only a few blocks away, sleeping in front of Trinity Church on Broadway.
Their pan-handling signs made of rectangular pieces of cardboard were placed beside them as they snored away, dreaming that passersby would drop loads of cash in their jars and shoe boxes.
However, the public was in no mood. The jars and boxes were almost empty, but the snoring Occupiers never noticed as they grunted, snorted and jerked whenever they were touched by a little sleep apnea.
Wingnut@9:21 PM, here we are trying to come together for just one day, and there you go with your Obama obsession. Go hug your wife and kids and try to enjoy your life. Stop worrying about Obama for once.

Believe that the Bush Administration was complicit in the 9-11 terrorist attacks.
A full 22.6% of Democrats said it was “very likely.” Another 28.2% called it “somewhat likely.”
That is: More than half of Democrats, according to a neutral survey, said they believed Bush was complicit in the 9/11 terror attacks.

Envy tends to be the true force behind moral indignation.
ReplyDeleteIt can be hard to discern evil when it first emerges, but after a while this usually becomes very clear.
ReplyDeleteFrom the perspective of spiritual warfare, this could be conceptualized as a reflection of the fact that purposive evil is impatient in its destructiveness of the Good (that is indeed one of its hallmarks) - so that evil cannot be very strategic, nor long-termist.
Thus, something of evil intent that is not obvious will (so long as it succeeds) sooner rather than later reveal itself in gratuitous acts of destruction against truth, beauty and virtue.

Russian ships displayed at DNC tribute to vets
ReplyDeleteRetired Adm. John Nathman speaks on stage with military veterans during the final day of the Democratic National Convention on Sept. 6 in Charlotte, N.C. Experts say the ships in the background are Russian.
On the last night of the Democratic National Convention, a retired Navy four-star took the stage to pay tribute to veterans. Behind him, on a giant screen, the image of four hulking warships reinforced his patriotic message.
But there was a big mistake in the stirring backdrop: those are Russian warships.
While retired Adm. John Nathman, a former commander of Fleet Forces Command, honored vets as America’s best, the ships from the Russian Federation Navy were arrayed like sentinels on the big screen above.
These were the very Soviet-era combatants that Nathman and Cold Warriors like him had once squared off against.
“The ships are definitely Russian,” said noted naval author Norman Polmar after reviewing hi-resolution photos from the event. “There’s no question of that in my mind.”
Naval experts concluded the background was a photo composite of Russian ships that were overflown by what appear to be U.S. trainer jets. It remains unclear how or why the Democratic Party used what’s believed to be images of the Russian Black Sea Fleet at their convention.
A spokesman for the Democratic National Convention Committee was not able to immediately comment Tuesday, saying he had to track down personnel to find out what had happened.
The veteran who spotted the error and notified Navy Times said he was immediately taken aback.
“I was kind of in shock,” said Rob Barker, 38, a former electronics warfare technician who left the Navy in 2006. Having learned to visually identify foreign ships by their radars, Barker recognized the closest ship as the Kara-class cruiser Kerch.
“An immediate apology [from the committee] would be very nice,” Barker said. “Maybe acknowledge the fact that yes, they screwed up.”
The background — featured in the carefully choreographed hour leading up to the president’s Sept. 6 speech accepting the Democratic Party’s nomination — showed four ships with radar designs not used in the U.S. fleet.
For example, the ship in the foreground, on the far right, has a square radar antenna at the top of its masthead. That is the MR-700 Podberezovik 3-D early warning radar, commonly identified as “Flat Screen” for its appearance, a three-dimensional early warning radar mounted on the Kerch, said Eric Wertheim, editor of “Combat Fleets of the World.”
Similarly, the third ship has a MR-310 “Head Net” air search radar, shaped like two off-set bananas, at its masthead and is mostly likely the guided missile destroyer Smetlivyy. The first two ships seem to be Krivak-class frigates, but it’s hard to discern from the silhouette, experts said.
But the fact they are Russian ships is not in doubt. In addition to the ship’s radar arrays and hulls, which are dissimilar from U.S. warships, the photo features one more give-away: a large white flag with a blue ‘X’ at the ships’ sterns.
Polmar, who authored “The Naval Institute Guide to the Soviet Navy,” recognized the blue ‘X’-mark: “The X is the Cross of St. Andrew’s, which is a Russian Navy symbol,” Polmar said. (An anchored U.S. warship, by contrast, flies the American flag on its stern.)
Based on this specific group of these ship types, one naval expert concluded that this was most likely a photo of the Black Sea Fleet.
“Ships are all Black Sea Fleet,” A. D. Baker III, a retired Office of Naval Intelligence analyst, told Navy Times after looking at the image. “These four ships, at the time the photo was taken, constituted the entire major surface combatant component of the Black Sea Fleet,” Baker said, noting the photo was likely to be six years old or older. (The Kerch is now on the list to be scrapped, Baker said.)

An American has been killed on the 11th anniversary of 9/11 as Islamist mobs attacked and burned the U.S. consulate in Libya. . . .
ReplyDeleteIt is so far the only death from mob attacks in Libya and Egypt over Islamist anger at an alleged film in production by Coptic Christians focusing on Islam. The United States spent 9/11 apologizing for hurting Islamists feelings in Egypt which caused them to desecrate our flag and storm the walls of the U.S. embassy and our Libyan consulate.
Nine Indicators that the Economy s not improving:
ReplyDelete1. More jobs were created per month last year than this year.
2. Back in 2009, the incoming Obama administration predicted sub-6% unemployment in 2012 if Congress passed the $800 billion stimulus plan. Instead, we’ve had 43 straight months of 8%-plus unemployment.
3. The labor force participation rate is lower today than at the start of the year, and lower than at the start of 2011. If the participation rate were the same today as it was in February 2010, when the job market supposedly bottomed, the unemployment rate would be 10.1%.
4. The unemployment-population ratio, which looks at what portion of the working-age population has a job, is also lower today than it was at the start of the year. There has been essentially no progress in repairing the labor market after the recent downturn.
5. Average hourly earnings were unchanged in the August jobs report, and are up just 1.7% over the past year.
6. Last year, the economy, adjusted for inflation, grew by 1.8%. Right now, it’s on track to do about the same this year.
7. The American economy is less competitive than it was last year or the year before, according to the latest competitiveness report from the World Economic Forum.
8. The day of fiscal reckoning grows ever nearer as the national debt grows, and Washington fails to constrain out-of-control entitlement spending.
9. Growth is so slow right now that if anything goes wrong, we are likely to slip back into recession and problems 1-8 above get even worse.

We were bound to be bombed because most of the world don't like us because we are self-centered arrogant jackasses who think our shit does not stink. Not so. It stinks to high heaven.
BTW, not only are we mean and nasty, we are also dumb. Even with the bombing of the WTC we still haven't learned our lesson. Even with Vietnam, we still haven't learned our lesson.
We still have mean spirited assholes like that pastor in FL who trying his best to start a war and Americans let him try. That is as stupid as you can get.
You would think by now that we would respect the prophet Muhammed of Islam. We know fully well that followers of Islam are more than willing to sacrifice their lives in his name, yet we burn their Korans and desecrate Muhammed. Now that's being mean-spirited and nasty. And, sooner or later, we WILL have to pay for it. In fact, it might be just around the corner because Obama is acting a fool with Israel AND the Arab countries.
In a way, I am glad this has happened BEFORE election. Obama's reaction reminds us ALL around the world why he should no longer be President. We must get rid of Obama! He just doesn't get it, and he also doesn't care.

Of course, I know their are plenty of anti-Gods and against the Sacred, but we must try. We have no other alternative.
At the end of the day 9/11/01 I had an entirely different conception of "evil" than when the day began. Mainly, I was certain it existed in the world & one could not call it anything else.

Still waiting to hear from Obama/Carter redux but how long did it take before the official response was to say
"We condemn the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims—
US Embassy Cairo (@USEmbassyCairo) September 11, 2012"
Romney said:
"I’m outraged by the attacks on American diplomatic missions in Libya and Egypt and by the death of an American consulate worker in Benghazi. It’s disgraceful that the Obama administration’s first response was not to condemn attacks on our diplomatic missions, but to sympathize with those who waged the attacks."
Where is he wrong? You know Hillary and Obama approved the embassy tweet before they took it back, she tweeted the same thing minutes later and they STILL haven't said anything else.
Field,
ReplyDelete4 Americans were killed with a rocket attack in their car fleeing the embassy. Obama is silent, Romney is right. Why isn't our leader making a strong statement that he condemns these Islamic murders, instead we apologize and run a freak show of leadership.
Ambassador 'was attacked in car'
More indications that the US ambassador died in his car, not the consulate building, in Bengahazi.

ReplyDeleteU.S. Embassy Condemns Religious Incitement
ReplyDeleteSeptember 11, 2012
The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy. Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy. We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.
"#secclinton: The U.S. deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.state.gov
Following American, UK, Canadian etc outrage at their apologies Obama tries to walk it back and throw the embassy under the bus like normal but makes no other statement.
“The statement by Embassy Cairo was not cleared by Washington and does not reflect the views of the United States government,”
So Obamas first and only release/statement on the attacks was to condemn Romney for his outrage? Are you kidding me?
So what are the views of the U.S government on foreigners attacking a U.S Embassy, razing it to the ground and killing Americans? We are waiting Dear Leader.

1. MUSLIM EXTREMISTS KILL US AMBASSADOR IN LIBYA
by Chana Ya'ar
US Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans were killed in Libya Tuesday in an attack by Muslim extremists on the US Consulate in Benghazi.
The protesters said they were angry over a film they said ridiculed the founder
of Islam, the Muslim Prophet Mohammed.
The film was produced by expatriate members of Egypt's Christian minority who are residents in the United States.
The mob set fire to the building during the attack, witnesses and officials said. Rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) were fired at the consulate from a nearby
farm.
The Libyan attack came in the wake of a protest in which demonstrators waving black banners stormed the U.S. Embassy in Cairo, tore down the American flag and
torched it.
At least 2,000 people stood at the foot of the walls surrounding the embassy as about 20 of the rioters scaled the walls.
Rioters also drew anti-American graffiti on the wall and demanded that the US end its presence in Egypt. U.S. soldiers prevented the rioters from entering the Embassy compound.
Witnesses said that Egyptian police at the scene did litttle to stop the rioters' advance to the Embassy walls, which are usually cordoned off.
Following the attack, the U.S. released a statement saying: "The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals
to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions. Today, the 11th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States, Americans are honoring our patriots and those who serve our nation as the fitting response to the enemies of democracy.
Respect for religious beliefs is a cornerstone of American democracy.
We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others."

Poor Granny, she is out here all by her lonesome self. Not even Field will lift a hand to help her. And pray tell, where are your Leftist Negro brothers and sisters such as brothers PilotX, Mack Lyons, KID, or the well-educated Dr Reine?
ReplyDeleteWhy are they hiding ? The answer is simple: The WH has screwed up and there is no getting out of it. They know it. Unfortunately you cannot see.

ReplyDeletePastor Terry Jones a righwinger and man full of hate. Is responsible for American losing their life in Egypt.
It was in Libya that Americans were killed. Do you have any idea what you are talking about?
You excuse murderers and blame someone who pissed the religion of peace followers off?
Why don't you stand up for Christians who are literally being slaughtered by Islam daily? Too much of an apologist coward?
Muslims also want women out of their towns and provinces and to wear hijabs as required by Sharia law. Maybe you should start so you don't piss off any more that just might have a murderous fit that you will apologize for. And you keep bringing up conservative, conservatives. Well you are right, the difference between conservatives and you is we won't apologize to someone that kills our countrymen. No words can ever justify someone murdering and destroying a US embassy. You however seem to think no abomination is enough to make you stop degrading US freedoms that you enjoy.

Well, of course, the GOP wants Obama out of the WH as well as Congress.
But considering what has happened in the Middle East, don't you think it is reasonable to conclude that Obama is finished now? Or at least this catastrophy has to give Romney the edge?
Excuse me, but aren't you the one that was blaming President Obama for what is happening over there? He didn't produce the film.
ReplyDeletePastor Terry Jones did.
Isn't he a rightwinger? Don't try to twist it and accuse me. If anybody should apologize it should be you because you asked for a link, and I gave you one.
Like I said that man knew what he was doing and he did it on purpose and those who want the President out of the White House were behind it. Pastor Terry wants the President out the White House and he is a rightwinger.

Oh boy, this woman is daft.
An oldie but goodie article on apologist like granny. Won't do any good, it will always be the fault of some white American somewhere but anyway.
ReplyDeleteShhhhhhh, we’re told. Don’t protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don’t burn a Koran. It’ll imperil the troops. It’ll inflame tensions. The “Muslim world” will “explode” if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the “Muslim world” not ready to “explode”?
At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways.
Just a few months ago in Kashmir, faithful Muslims rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The mob shut down businesses and clashed with police over the blasphemous skivvies. But it turned out there was no need for Allah’s avengers to get their holy knickers in a bunch. The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. A Kashmiri law enforcement official later concluded the protests were “premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere.”
Indeed, art and graphics have an uncanny way of vitiating the Muslim world’s atmosphere. In 1994, Muslims threatened German supermodel Claudia Schiffer with death after she wore a Karl Lagerfeld-designed dress printed with a saying from the Koran. In 1997, outraged Muslims forced Nike to recall 800,000 shoes because they claimed the company’s “Air” logo looked like the Arabic script for “Allah.” In 1998, another conflagration spread over Unilever’s ice cream logo — which Muslims claimed looked like “Allah” if read upside-down and backward (can’t recall what they said it resembled if you viewed it with 3D glasses).
Even more explosively, in 2002, an al-Qaida-linked jihadist cell plotted to blow up Bologna, Italy’s Church of San Petronio because it displayed a 15th century fresco depicting Mohammed being tormented in the ninth circle of Hell. For years, Muslims had demanded that the art come down. Counterterrorism officials in Europe caught the would-be bombers on tape scouting out the church and exclaiming, “May Allah bring it all down. It will all come down.”
ReplyDeleteThat same year, Nigerian Muslims stabbed, bludgeoned or burned to death 200 people in protest of the Miss World beauty pageant — which they considered an affront to Allah. They shouted, “Allahu Akbar!” And “Down with beauty!” And “Miss World is sin!” Contest organizers fled out of fear of inflaming further destruction. When Nigerian journalist Isioma Daniel joked that Mohammed would have approved of the pageant and that “in all honesty, he would probably have chosen a wife from among them,” her newspaper rushed to print three retractions and apologies in a row. It didn’t stop Muslim vigilantes from torching the newspaper’s offices. A fatwa was issued on Daniel’s life by a Nigerian official in the sharia-ruled state of Zamfara, who declared that “the blood of Isioma Daniel can be shed. It is abiding on all Muslims wherever they are to consider the killing of the writer as a religious duty.” Daniel fled to Norway.
In 2005, British Muslims got all hot and bothered over a Burger King ice cream cone container whose swirly-texted label resembled, you guessed it, the Arabic script for “Allah.” The restaurant chain yanked the product in a panic and prostrated itself before the Muslim world. But the fast-food dessert had already become a handy radical Islamic recruiting tool. Rashad Akhtar, a young British Muslim, told Harper’s Magazine how the ice cream caper had inspired him: “Even though it means nothing to some people and may mean nothing to some Muslims in this country, this is my jihad. I’m not going to rest until I find the person who is responsible. I’m going to bring this country down.”
In 2007, Muslims combusted again in Sudan after an infidel elementary school teacher innocently named a classroom teddy bear “Mohammed.” Protesters chanted, “Kill her, kill her by firing squad!” and “No tolerance — execution!” She was arrested, jailed and faced 40 lashes for blasphemy before being freed after eight days. Not wanting to cause further inflammation, the teacher rushed to apologize: “I have great respect for the Islamic religion and would not knowingly offend anyone, and I am sorry if I caused any distress.”
And who could forget the global Danish cartoon riots of 2006 (instigated by imams who toured Egypt stoking hysteria with faked anti-Islam comic strips)? From Afghanistan to Egypt to Lebanon to Libya, Pakistan, Turkey and in between, hundreds died under the pretext of protecting Mohammed from Western slight, and brave journalists who stood up to the madness were threatened with beheading. It wasn’t really about the cartoons at all, of course. Little-remembered is the fact that Muslim bullies were attempting to pressure Denmark over the International Atomic Energy Agency’s decision to report Iran to the UN Security Council for continuing with its nuclear research program. The chairmanship of the council was passing to Denmark at the time. Yes, it was just another in a long line of manufactured Muslim explosions that were, to borrow a useful phrase, “premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere.”
When everything from sneakers to stuffed animals to comics to frescos to beauty queens to fast-food packaging to undies serves as dry tinder for Allah’s avengers, it’s a grand farce to feign concern about the recruitment effect of a few burnt Korans in the hands of a two-bit attention-seeker in Florida. The eternal flame of Muslim outrage was lit a long, long time ago.
Pastor Terry Jones was wrong in what he did. He knew that it would stir up some mess because he has been warned before about this same thing. So you are pissed not at the Muslims who killed someone in Libya, and invaded American Embassies in Egypt and Libya you are pissed that someone offended them by having an opinion of their 7th century murderous religion?
yes, we know. We saw your type during WWII when they were apologizing for anyone who might piss Hitler off and get the U.S involved.
Remind me of your morality and the ideals you support should the shit ever hit the fan. You would have been one of the prisoners who offered up her friends in the concentration camps for saying something bad about the Nazi guards.
So you uphold an excuse what Pastor Terry Jones did is that what you saying? Evidently, you don't care too much about those Americans who have lost their lives behind his mess.
ReplyDeleteBtw, I never mentioned the color of his skin. You are the one that brought up color. Not I! It was his actions that were wrong!
If the outrage was simmering, why light with a fuse to set if off?
Naw, the thing is you don't know me! You want to dismiss what Pastor Terry did, but what he did was wrong because he was the cause of those Americans being killed. He is to blame! I don't care how you try to spin that, Pastor Terry is to blame. Let me stop calling him Pastor because he is anything but that because he preaches HATE!

I don't care what he did if he broke no laws of the United States of America. I don't care for the guy, he is a nut-job, I don't agree with how he conducts himself but make no mistake, he DID NOT kill anyone. No matter how YOU spin it, it seems to me YOU are making excuses for murderous scum who killed fellow Americans, making excuses for insane people living in another country who blew up your embassy and killed four of your countrymen, saying it's ok, I understand he pissed you off. Will you forgive us guys if we hurt him?
Once you get rid of Pastor Terry and the things he is not allowed to say, who's next? Who will you move on to in order to appease the muslim world? They hate dogs, will you demand any American who has the nerve to walk a dog in a Muslims presence receive 30 lashes? They hate pork, a hate crime was lodged because bacon was found in a park put out for animals, but the Muslims got offended so they opened an investigation, should they arrest convict and behead them as per Muslim law?
They hate non muslim's mating with Muslims and kill their own daughters and wives for honor, should we toss out U.S laws so we don't offend the muslims who are performing Honor killings in the U.S?
They hate women working and are demanding they be removed from Muslim areas, women need to be covered and become modest, should we mandate this to women? Give them 40 lashes or threaten stoning if they don't comply?
What's next granny, when will you stop appeasing and apologizing for the "religion of Peace"
Muslims in Egypt are literally crucifying Christians, LITERALLY. Are you going to demand everyone keep quiet about that as our government is doing so we don't offend Muslims even more? SHouldnt we as good Christians speak up and stop these horrible atrocities in the world or just invite the leader of the Crucifixions to the White House as Obama has done?
You pick your path, I pick mine. I choose America and freedom, apologizing to terrorists will get you nothing but short term concessions and death. Imagine condemning someone who speaks words over people who commit violence and murder. Yet never viewing the path that it will take you down at all.
Here Granny, this is who you are defending and insisting that we forever appease. Good luck with that. Jimmy Obama and Barack Carter agree with you.

2009: The Brotherhood’s spiritual leader — Sheikh Yusuf Qaradawi — writes an open letter to Obama arguing terrorism is a direct response to U.S. foreign policy.
ReplyDelete2009: Obama travels to Cairo to deliver apologetic speech to Muslims, and infuriates the Mubarak regime by inviting banned Brotherhood leaders to attend. Obama deliberately snubs Mubarak, who was neither present nor mentioned. He also snubs Israel during the Mideast trip.
2009: Obama appoints a Brotherhood-tied Islamist — Rashad Hussain — as U.S. envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference, which supports the Brotherhood.
2010: State Department lifts visa ban on Tariq Ramadan, suspected terrorist and Egyptian-born grandson of Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna.
2010: Hussain meets with Ramadan at American-sponsored conference attended by U.S. and Brotherhood officials.
2010: Hussain meets with the Brotherhood’s grand mufti in Egypt.
2010: Obama meets one-on-one with Egypt’s foreign minister, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who later remarks on Nile TV: “The American president told me in confidence that he is a Muslim.”
2010: The Brotherhood’s supreme guide calls for jihad against the U.S.
2011: Qaradawi calls for “days of rage” against Mubarak and other pro-Western regimes throughout Mideast.
2011: Riots erupt in Cairo’s Tahrir Square. Crowds organized by the Brotherhood demand Mubarak’s ouster, storm buildings.
2011: The White House fails to back longtime ally Mubarak, who flees Cairo.
2011: White House sends intelligence czar James Clapper to Capitol Hill to whitewash the Brotherhood’s extremism. Clapper testifies the group is moderate, “largely secular.”
2011: Qaradawi, exiled from Egypt for 30 years, is given a hero’s welcome in Tahrir Square, where he raises the banner of jihad.
2011: Through his State Department office, William Taylor — Clinton’s special coordinator for Middle East transitions and a longtime associate of Brotherhood apologists —gives Brotherhood and other Egyptian Islamists special training to prepare for the post-Mubarak elections.
2011: The Brotherhood wins control of Egyptian parliament, vows to tear up Egypt’s 30-year peace treaty with Israel and reestablishes ties with Hamas, Hezbollah.
2011: Obama gives Mideast speech demanding Israel relinquish land to Palestinians, while still refusing to visit Israel.
2011: Justice Department pulls plug on further prosecution of U.S.-based Brotherhood front groups identified as collaborators in conspiracy to funnel millions to Hamas.
2011: In a shocking first, the State Department formalizes ties with Egypt’s Brotherhood, letting diplomats deal directly with Brotherhood party officials in Cairo.
April 2012: The administration quietly releases $1.5 billion in foreign aid to the new Egyptian regime.
June 2012: Morsi wins presidency amid widespread reports of electoral fraud and voter intimidation by gun-toting Brotherhood thugs — including blockades of entire streets to prevent Christians from going to the polls. The Obama administration turns a blind eye, recognizes Morsi as victor.
June 2012: In a victory speech, Morsi vows to instate Shariah law, turning Egypt into an Islamic theocracy, and also promises to free jailed terrorists. He also demands Obama free World Trade Center terrorist and Brotherhood leader Omar Abdel-Rahman, a.k.a. the Blind Sheik, from U.S. prison.
June 2012: State grants visa to banned Egyptian terrorist who joins a delegation of Brotherhood officials from Egypt. They’re all invited to the White House to meet with Obama’s deputy national security adviser, who listens to their demands for the release of the Blind Sheik.
July 2012: Obama invites Morsi to visit the White House this September.
The Muslim Brotherhood’s sudden ascendancy in the Mideast didn’t happen organically. It was helped along by a U.S. president sympathetic to its interests over those of Israel and his own country.

Fraud?
ReplyDeleteHow about the guy whose foreign policy consisted of facilitating the takeover of the Middle East by the Muslim Brotherhood?
Any fool could have seen where that would have led. But I guess a fraud couldn't.
It is certainly fitting that on the anniversary of 9/11, Obama’s “Arab Spring” blossomed.
ReplyDeleteThe embassy in Cairo was attacked by Muslim mobs with the tacit approval of their government, just like in Iran. The American flag was torn down and ripped apart on American territory, and replaced with a black Islamic flag similar to the banner used by al Qaeda.
The Obama regime is preparing to give these same animals $1 BILLION that it expropriated from US taxpayers.
In Libya, J. Christopher Stevens and three other embassy staff were actually killed in a forthright act of war allowed to happen by the people Obama used our armed forces to put in power.
We asked for this by electing Obama in a loathsome gesture of Islamic appeasement. Islam has been attempting to eradicate Western Civilization for centuries, conquering and defiling vast regions that once were Christian. Telegraphing submission was hardly likely to end Muslim aggression.
Predictably, the initial response from the Obama Administration was to condemn those who hurt the precious feelings Muslims use as a pretext for their savagery — that is, it sided with the violent mobs of Islamic barbarians against America.
There is no act an American could perform that would be more contemptible than to vote to reelect Barack Hussein Obama.
"@ Pilot X, Amen sir, now if we could just do it every day."
ReplyDeleteYep that was my follow up comment, "and not just on 9-11".
What a great victory for America in its promotion of Muslim democracy, which means the promotion of Islam! First a mob stormed the U.S. embassy in Cairo, tearing down the U.S. flag and putting up a black al Qaeda flag in its place. Then a Libyan mob murdered the U.S. ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, a former envoy to and facilitator of the Libyan rebels, along with three of his staff members as they drove away from the U.S. consulate in Benghazi seeking safer quarters. All because of a movie made by private individuals in the U.S., including pastor Terry Jones, that “insulted” the prophet Muhammad.
ReplyDeleteAnd Obama’s first response to the murder of our diplomatic personnel was not to condemn the killers, but to condemn the private individuals in the U.S. who made the film. In doing so, he was in effect conforming to the demand by the Muslim Brotherhood, which thanks to U.S.-promoted Muslim democracy now rules Egypt, that the U.S. government issue a formal apology to the Muslim world for a movie made in the U.S. by private individuals. As reported in the New York Times, Obama said:
“While the United States rejects efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others, we must all unequivocally oppose the kind of senseless violence that took the lives of these public servants.”
Got that? He condemns a movie made by private individuals before he condemns the murder of our diplomats.
Similarly, earlier in the day, before the attack on the U.S. embassy in Cairo, the embassy had issued this statement:
“The United States Embassy in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims—as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions.”
Didn’t do much good, did it? Since after that statement was issued, the mob proceeded to invade the embassy. But this is what we wanted, and what we want. We as a country support democracy, i.e. universal open elections, as the highest good, and therefore we support whatever democracy brings about. And, in Islamland, democracy automatically brings about Islamic rule, which means, among other things, the rule that anyone who insults Muhammad must die, and that if an individual in a foreign country insults Muhammad, it is as if that entire country and its government had insulted Muhammad.
Wow Field, did you see Romney jump onto the tv to screech about foreign policy? This guy has no shame. He is a private citizen who was a governor with no foreign policy experience and is spouting about shit he has no clue. ReplyDeleteNotice the difference in thought process between the liberals and Muslim radicals.
ReplyDeleteFor the liberals everyone is viewed in a purely atomic manner, thus the acts of Muslim militants are “isolated incidents” that have no tangible or meaningful relationship to Islam or the wider Muslim community.
For the Muslim radicals every American or Westerner is morally responsible for the acts of isolated individual Americans or other Westerners, and thus deserving of death. Thus in the eyes of the Muslims every Westerner or Christian is responsible for the Danish cartoons, or Pope Benedict’s negative characterization of Muhammad, or the actions of Terry Jones.
The Liberal - Muslim alliance of course never made sense, but honestly, what does anymore?
"Got that? He condemns a movie made by private individuals before he condemns the murder of our diplomats."
ReplyDeleteOh so you'd would have been ok with his response if he just switched the order of comments? Yeah right.

ReplyDeleteSo which is it Danny? You first say Muslim "radicals" then it morphs into ALL Muslims. Do you know any Muslims? Have you discussed this or do you just think you know everything about all Muslims everywhere?
And by your assessment how are you any different than the people you are analyzing? You say ALL Muslims and they supposedly say ALL Westerners. So you are just a mirror image of the problem you see. Interesting.
Eleven years ago it became pretty obvious that a significant portion of the Mohammedan world hates us and wants to kill, convert, or conquer the West. If I suddenly found myself in a war with hundreds of millions of people, I’d get serious pretty quick about fighting it. We refuse to admit that Islam itself is the problem. We refuse to take economic measures to cut off the oil financed funding of jihad. We refuse to be realistic about the social and religious vulnerabilities of our society. A sane society would have seen the thousands of Muslims dancing in the streets of the world that September day, and drawn some conclusions about that and done something about it. We would have developed our own resources, we would have embargoed the whole Muslim world. Any wars we would have fought would have been wars of destruction, and not rebuilding the homes of our enemies. We would have ceased to pretend that we can afford unlimited spending on the ineducable, the foolish, or the already wealthy. Instead we act like all of America is a Chicago public school classroom, where no learning can take place.
ReplyDeleteThe present governing ideology of the Western world is liberalism, and until that changes, we will continue slowly to kill ourselves.
PilotX:

Our president himself condemns these "senseless acts of violence" as though they made no sense to the Muslims that perpetrated them.
Of course these murders made perfect sense to these killers as well as, if not all, a majority of Muslims.
And of course, Obama sees these as the acts of individuals, not the predictable expression of a culture that is inimical to liberal values.
This is either idiotic or traitorous. Take your pick.

This is not the time for our leaders to apologize for the murderous actions of Islam. I am not going to shut up, is that what Obama is telling them we will do? Of course it is. Romney was right on the button. Our leader held a conference, made an apologist statement took NO questions and then hopped on the plane to go campaign for two days. He obviously did not want the president to handle the situation by apologizing and saying nothing else. Obama made NO STATEMENT all of yesterday evening and last night until the quick apolofest, Except he took the time out to say something negative about Romney. Maybe he should have made time and the priority of his having the job to say something about murdering packs of muslims. Oh yeah the muslims know they can do it some more this week, no repercussions to worry about with this clown, he will just blame Americans for pissing you off and then scold you if you murder some Americans.
Romney made an appropriate statement.

Field, "Pedantic". "I love that word! We do have smart people in the fields."
ReplyDeleteYou can thank your devoted trolls for the use of that word. It's a pretty common word for trolls.
PilotX, Granny, Purple Cow or any of the rest of you FN Leftists wouldn't have a clue how to use such a lofty word. Well, maybe Whitey grew up using the word, "pedantic".
But the rest of you folks grew up using Mother F****r, and "What's up, my n****r"? Ever ride public transportation in the city? That's all you hear. Those words are common everyday language in our community and music.
BTW, do YOU know how to use "pedantic" ? I know it sounds good to a progressive leftist brother like you, but do YOU know how to use it? It's been known for a long time that only Conservative brothers know how to use lofty words.
Obama had not one presidential Intelligence Briefing The Week Before The Attacks
ReplyDeleteI mean we know from the economy he doesn't have regular economic briefings and hasn't had time for any job council briefings or budget at ALL this year, but why would anyone think there might be some violence on 9/11?
This man is worse than Carter ever could have been, he IS an empty suit sitting in an empty chair.

It's too bad AB is no longer here. Does anyone know what AB stands for?

ReplyDeleteThe attacks had nothing to do with any movie that hardly anyone has seen. It's a good thing we don't look for scapegoats in the U.S to excuse Islamic murderers right Granny and Pilot:
ReplyDeleteUpdated at 3:01 p.m. ET] The Pentagon and other U.S. agencies will review a video of the attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, according to a senior defense official. The official had not seen the video and provided no details about the source of the video, CNN's Chris Lawrence reported.
[Updated at 2:48 p.m. ET] U.S. sources say they do not believe the attacks that killed Stevens and three other Americans in Benghazi, Libya, were in reaction to the online release of a film mocking Islam, CNN's Elise Labott reports.
"It was not an innocent mob," one senior official said. "The video or 9/11 made a handy excuse and could be fortuitous from their perspective, but this was a clearly planned military-type attack."
This information meshes with earlier information recorded in this post, including that U.S. sources told CNN that the Benghazi attack was planned. Also, a London think tank with strong ties to Libya speculated Wednesday that Stevens was the victim of a targeted al Qaeda attack "to avenge the death of Abu Yaya al-Libi, al Qaeda's second in command killed a few months ago." (See 12:51 p.m. update.)

So Granny, by your logic, if Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman leads a bunch of muslims in burning the American flag in Cairo, and some overly zealous patriots in America attack and kill a Muslim diplomat, the murder is the Sheik's fault, right?
ReplyDeleteJust checking.
The lamestream media caught on an open mike in the tank for Obama.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.therightscoop.com/exclusive-open-mic-captures-press-coordinating-questions-for-romney-no-matter-who-he-calls-on-were-covered/
Granny is just trying to keep the logic alive for the next riot in the US. It isn't the rioters fault, they looted, burned, destroyed and killed because someone else made them do it. It's always the Americans or the man or the system or someone else who is responsible. Don't piss people off, do what they want, say what they want give them what they want and they wont kill you or destroy and steal things.
ReplyDeleteIf the US hadn’t become such a nation of pussies, run by the dirtiest, meanest, swarming hiveminded pussies on earth — the institutionalized left, who want to sue and nudge and shame and manipulate their way into enslaving people (and who, let’s face it, control what the leadership and the “serious” punditry on the “right” is able to say, to think, and to advocate) — the response to yesterday’s incidents in both Libya and Egypt would have been swift, severe, and unblinking.
ReplyDeleteIt would have sent a message to those who doubt our resolve and power. Who frankly have no earthly reason anymore to believe it, seeing how they’ve been able to get a political foothold here in the US, where they are defended, both by those wishing to appear tolerant, despite the obvious barbarism and the stated goals of these cynical butchers to undermine the US and the western Enlightenment, and by those who see them as allies of convenience in an attempted “progressive” coup of the US.
That these events took place on 911? Just another shoe tossed at our heads. Which we scratch and wonder what we should have done differently so as not to have caused them such anger.

That's the usual next step.
Sorry, did you miss the part about American Embassies being burnt down and an ambassador being killed you filthy thing.

Granny is right, Obama is done after this.
ReplyDeleteThis is bad, bad, bad for Obama. There is no way to spin it. That damn pastor in Florida is controlling world events again. There seems to be no way to stop that evil genius!
ReplyDeleteObama is going to have to do something dramatic. Bomb Iran? Invade Syria? Get the Senate to pass a budget? Convince another 10 million people to stop looking for jobs?
The first thing I thought of was to get the media to report that the Republicans have declared War on Puppies, Kittens, and Midgets, but I'm not sure that would do it.
Maybe they could dredge up Osama's body off the bottom of the ocean and have Biden go around the country with it mounted on the front of his bus.

I got it, have some Muslims parade around the US in Red felt cowboy hats and handcuffs, claim they were enslaved by the republican party who spit in their face and called them camel jockeys and demand a congressional amendment outlawing hate speech against religion (against muslims only, it is still ok to hate and denigrate Christians)

Nah, not this time the media tipped their hands too soon, they were caught on mike plotting against Romney - Obamabots one and all still can't spin this.
The ONLY thing Obama condemned was Romney then he took no questions in his pathetic statement. Romney showed leadership and tenacity, the kind you need against murderous muslims.
Everyone in the country is noticing what is important to the media - protect the incompetent one, they keep digging themselves into a hole they will never get out of.

Update: Peggy Noonan organizes circular firing squad
If there ever were a doubt, no matter how small, that the mainstream media is deeply in bed with the Obama campaign, the reaction to the killing of the U.S. Ambassador to Libya and several other Americans should put such doubt to rest.
Beginning early this morning, when news was just breaking, the left-blogosphere and mainstream media, led by MSNBC, has attempted to shift the focus from the Obama administration’s failure to protect our embassies and for its apologies (both before and after the attack on the Cairo Embassy) to whether Mitt Romney was wrong to criticize Obama last night.
No, I’m not kidding.
Here was Chuck Todd on Morning Joe:
This meme then was picked up by a blogger at MaddowBlog:
Steve Benen @stevebenen
Wouldn't be surprised if Romney's sleazy move on Libya backfires. Exploiting US deaths is ugly, unwise on.msnbc.com/Sbfjyp
And by Greg Sargent at WaPo, with whom I got into a discussion:
Greg Sargent @ThePlumLineGS 12 Sep 12
Did Romney release his statement attacking Obama admin before or after reports of death? Anyone know?
Legal Insurrection @LegInsurrection
@ThePlumLineGS Wow, desperate much to shift focus?
12 Sep 12
@ThePlumLineGS good luck w blaming Romney - what was Obama doing yesterday, we know not taking steps 2 protect Embassy
12 Sep 12
The meme then was picked up almost everywhere in the MSM, as this post at National Journal shows:
Ron Fournier @ron_fournier
A ham-handed and inaccurate response from Romney njour.nl/U7scLx There is a reason why politix stops at water's edge
12 Sep 12
Here was Romney’s press conference in which the media swarmed to attack him over his criticism of Obama last night. To his credit, Romney did not back down.
Obama did not take any questions during his short statement.
So now the focus of the MSM is whether Romney made a mistake, not the dead Ambassador, not the Obama administration failures, not the complete disarray of U.S. MidEast policy, not the rise of Islamists, no none of that.

Absolutely brilliant Frederica. I want your resume at the White House by tomorrow morning. Lickem De Salami, we have a job for you too, assisting Peggy Noonan.
Now if we could just engineer a situaiton where a Romney button-wearing George Zimmerman shoots one of those cowboy hat-wearing Muslims, this election would be in the bag...
Thanks my negroes!
I still like my idea. How come nobody listens to me?
ReplyDeleteAt the New York Post there is a photograph of the dead or dying Christopher Stevens, the U.S. diplomat who helped the Libyan rebels overthrow and murder Kaddafi, the man who had made peace with our country. Repeat: this former enemy made peace with us, and we accepted and celebrated this peace with a former enemy and we restored normal diplomatic relations with him and we even pursued friendly bilateral relations with him. And he never did anything to violate our new-found peaceful relations or to threaten us. And then we helped overthrow and kill him, and boasted of his death. As I said many times, the U.S. intervention in Libya was mad, lawless, criminal, and extremely self-damaging. It is impossible to have any sympathy for the U.S. in what has now happened in Libya.
ReplyDeleteFrom the Newsweek article "The Wimp Factor"
ReplyDeleteBut if Romney is elected? Be nervous. A Republican president sure of his manhood had nothing to prove. Reagan was happy with a jolly little shoot-up in Grenada, and eventually he settled down to the serious work of arms control, consummating historic treaties with Mikhail Gorbachev. But a weenie Republican—look out. He has something to prove, needs to reassert that “natural” advantage. That spells trouble more often than not.
