Scoring political points by any means necessary.

Americans have been talking a lot about a place called Benghazi of late. Most Americans never heard of Benghazi prior to September 11. If you said Benghazi to the average American prior to September 11, he or she would have thought you were talking about a restaurant chain.

Anyway, republicans are certainly glad for Benghazi. Their candidate for president couldn't wait to get on television and politicize the tragic attack on the US consulate in that city. To him, it was a political opportunity, not a national tragedy. Not to be outdone, republicans in congress have been going down that same inglorious path.

"The U.S. Senate's number two Democrat and others in his party criticized a Republican House of Representatives committee chairman on Sunday for releasing government documents related to last month's violent attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

Senator Richard Durbin charged that Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, had politicized the Benghazi events during a presidential election campaign, in particular by releasing sensitive papers with the names of Libyans who have worked with the United States.

"This idea of Chairman Issa, that he's going to dump the names in public of Libyans who are risking their lives to support America and keep us safe in an effort to get a political toehold in this election is unconscionable. It is unacceptable," Durbin, the Senate's Democratic whip, told "Fox News Sunday."David Axelrod, a campaign adviser to President Barack Obama, also blasted Issa, charging it was "disgraceful" that he had released government papers "to score political points in the final weeks before an election."

Issa released 166 pages of unclassified memos, diplomatic cables and other government documents related to the Benghazi mission on Friday as part of his committee's investigation of the attack in the eastern Libyan city. The papers were not classified, but some were diplomatic communications marked "sensitive." [Source]

Oh my! The things we do for power here in America.

Finally, you Negroes are going to have to stop resorting to taking out a bunch of people -like those other folks- when things don't go your way.

Just today some Negro in Wisconsin took out a bunch of people and then himself after having what is being described as "domestic problems". Last Thursday some lunatic went to his "estranged" girlfriend's place of employment and shot her before killing three other people.

Seriously folks, domestic violence is not something to be taken lightly. Every woman out there should watch for all the red flags when they hook up with "Mr. Right." And fellows, if you find yourself obsessing over someone, you might need to get help. Call your pastor, grab a stiff drink, or call one of your boys to go and hang out with.

Right Field, the Obama administration ignores security requests and intelligence reports, getting an ambassador and three others killed, then lies about it for political reasons, lamely trying to blame a YouTube video in a blatant coverup attempt, and it's the Republican's fault for noticing.

What a tool you are.

Field, why can't you see or admit that black men are the most depressed men in America? I am surprised that you would recommend a depressed Negro to go see a pastor when you yourself think Reverends, churches, religion and the people who follow religion are a bunch of hypocrites.

What good would it do for a depressed brother to call a pastor when he needs to see a psychologist or psychiatrist for meds? Hell, if black preachers were worth a shit, our race wouldn't be in the fix it's in.

Your recommendation is depressing. What's a black man to do to get you to see the light?

Ah calm down, Barack is just trying to emulate the conservative hero Ronnie Raygun. I mean he does have a long way to go as far as getting Americans killed overseas and embassies attacked but hey he might have 4 more years to do it. Maybe he can sell arms to Iran and then lie about it and throw a Marine Colonel under the bus but hey gotta start somewhere right?

http://www.latimes.com/news/nationworld/world/la-fg-libya-attack-20121020,0,95514.story

WASHINGTON — The assault on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi last month appears to have been an opportunistic attack rather than a long-planned operation, and intelligence agencies have found no evidence that it was ordered by Al Qaeda, according to U.S. officials and witnesses interviewed in Libya.

"Tarek, an off-duty police sergeant who asked that his full name be withheld to shield him from reprisals, said he came to the scene about an hour after the attack began and found militants blocking the road leading to the compound."

"They drew their guns on me and they told me that the Americans were abusing our prophet," he said. "That's why they said they had come to fight."

"He and others described the attackers as a mob rather than a team of commandos. It included some organized elements, they said, but its intelligence was less than precise. A caretaker at the villa adjacent to the U.S. mission said the attackers initially threatened to raid his compound until he and a guard barred the gate and shouted: "Private property! Women inside!"

""This was a group of thieves that saw a chance and wanted to seize it," said Hamad Bougrain, a spokesman for the Feb. 17 Martyrs Brigade, a Libyan pro-government militia whose members were part of the mission's security detail. "

Benghazi? Rethugs are trying to blow this out of all proportion. Maybe Obama will mention some real intelligence/White House snafus to bring it into perspective - like 9/11. Or say what is the worse scenario? That we had info on organized terror and didn't release it fast enough? That we papered over the facts until they were confirmed? This is a serious failure compared to what?

CIA documents supported Susan Rice’s description of Benghazi attacks

By David Ignatius, Published: October 19

The Romney campaign may have misfired with its suggestion that statements by President Obama and U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice about the Benghazi attack last month weren’t supported by intelligence, according to documents provided by a senior U.S. intelligence official.

“Talking points” prepared by the CIA on Sept. 15, the same day that Rice taped three television appearances, support her description of the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate as a reaction to Arab anger about an anti-Muslim video prepared in the United States. According to the CIA account, “The currently available information suggests that the demonstrations in Benghazi were spontaneously inspired by the protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo and evolved into a direct assault against the U.S. Consulate and subsequently its annex. There are indications that extremists participated in the violent demonstrations.”

You are the epitamy of why Obama has to go. He and some of his radical supporters spend all their time and energy on cover ups, wordsmithing and being able to install teflon coatings on themselves. Never solving issues.

No one in their right mind will buy this drivel. In fact the first question I have is what kind of people are in charge that when they see there are conflicting reports reports from intelligence sources, Presidents of nations, live video and so on - decide to go with the narrative of a security guard?

Why do they think their only responsibility is to spin the story and not react live to save americans and an attack as it's happening? What have they done about it since besides talking about how it was all someone else's fault and their is nothing they could do those poor victims of leadership circumstance.

Holy incompetence. But we already knew that, only putting this out and expecting ANYONE to buy it except your most adamant brain dead supporters is telling of two things. Either they really are desperate and have nothing else, they are directionless, leaderless, lost and incompetent, which their own intelligence people say is the case. There is no leader, each is in his own political bubble thinking they were elected to politick and not actually do a job.

As for you...pshaww man you beclown yourself more each day. At first I thought, nah this guy is just pushing the theme because he feels he must, no one can be this stupid..can they? Now...I am not so sure.

Achmed did you hear about the video yes - quick go grab 400 of our closest friends and have them bring those really heavy mortar shell cases and RPG's, we will spontaneously demonstrate and kill all the libyan security guards who do not flee, but stop and have a blockaded roadside chat with another. Yes and surely the US will tell everyone we just wanted to steal things, that is why we used mortar shells and grenades to blow up that nice tv we wanted.

You know they have some idiot in the damage control meeting thinking riots and looting in the US who imposed this bit of fantasy into the picture.

You should read the article, clearly you have not.

Well I just read it. Can you explain how you came to the conclusion this version is correct and not a blatant cover-up? Wasn't there a video of the entire attack that you were just battling last week to say Obama called it a terrorist attack from the onset (spontaneous bullshit wordsmithing is more like it)

Are you saying the video was of some obscure Libyan security guard chatting with armed men who spontaneously decided to shell the safe house in response to a video and demonstration in another country? So either Obama and his high ranking officials didn't see the video and hear the reports of the live action video and were woefully negligent or they weeks later really took what this security guard had to say quite seriously and without question to decide against what presidents and their own intelligence officers were showing and telling them. Or did they even look and just tell them to run with whatever they thought best?

Adults with responsibility aren't relieved of it by saying..well he said....they are asked ok understanding that source, there were others now why did YOU think this and what was your process to make this determination and decision. Leaders get info from all angles, they then need to apply experience, intelligence and critical thinking skills to determining the best course of action.

Obama is not a leader if he is now willing to say the President of the USA ok a message to the american public based upon this ridiculous premise.

"Domestic violence" is certainly NOT something to be taken lightly. It can be, however, ignored if the violence is being perpetrated by blacks against other races, especially whites:

Policeman said...

In a Euro society, Afros on average need stronger social controls than other groups in order to conform to behavioral norms. Where these controls are tightest, such as a slavery system, black criminality will be lowest; where these controls are loosest, black criminality will be very high.

Since Afros first landed on North American soil some four hundred years ago, they have never known a period of such freedom and civil liberty as the past 50 years. The post-1960s U.S. judiciary has not only overturned every piece of state, federal, and municipal legislation segregating Blacks, but has begun to discriminate in their favor in jobs, education, and the civil service.

Yet Afro criminality has exploded. The editor of the Bureau of Justice Statistics 1926-1982 report remarks simply, 'A major trend in the admission series is long-term growth in the size of the black prison population....This growth is not explained by general population trends.' He leaves the question there.

How to explain this reversal of the expected?

Blacks relatively low impulse control, high aggressivity, and low future orientation--the evolutionary heritage tropical Africa has left them--has made it hard for Blacks to thrive in Euro countries. Sub-Saharan Africa had never evolved into dense, urbanized societies, and its people are still ill-equipped to live in them. This is evidenced by the state of urban Africa today as well as the hardships Afros face in Euro societies.

"He who cannot police himself must be policed by others."

With a firm understanding of this reality, policy-makers in criminal justice might take a less panicked approach to black crime (we must bring all races to the same level or else!). Instead, they could follow a more nuanced position such as that taken recently by the Washington and Florida school boards, who have this year for the first time published scholastic achievement goals for their students which differ by ethnic group. It is only by aligning our expectations with what reality has to offer (and not our fantasies) that public policy in the U.S. will hope to begin to accomplish its goals.

This is no surprise.

In a scientific survey of 1,168 adults conducted during September and October of last year, respondents were asked not only multiple-choice questions, but also queries using maps, photographs and symbols. Among other subjects, participants identified international leaders, cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, nations on a world map, the current unemployment and poverty rates and war casualty totals.

In a 2010 Pew survey, Republicans outperformed Democrats on 10 of 12 questions, with one tie and Democrats outperforming Republicans on just 1 of the 12. In the latest survey, however, Republicans outperformed Democrats on every single one of 19 questions.

Amusingly, the Pew report attempted to soften the stark partisan knowledge disparity:

“Republicans generally outperformed Democrats on the current quiz. On 13 of the 19 questions, Republicans score significantly higher than Democrats and there are no questions on which Democrats did better than Republicans. In past knowledge quizzes, partisan differences have been more muted, though Republicans often have scored somewhat higher than Democrats.”

“Generally outperformed?” “Somewhat higher?” That’s a curiously charitable way to describe the surveys, which went from previous blowouts to a complete shutout in the latest edition.

Those Pew results are confirmed by some surprising other sources. According to a New York Timesheadline dated April 14, 2010, “Poll Finds Tea Party Backers Wealthier and More Educated.” Shattering widespread myths, that survey revealed that Tea Party supporters were more likely to possess a college degree than their counterparts (23% to 15%), and also more likely to have completed post-graduate studies (14% to 10%). Tea Partiers were also more likely to have completed “some college” by a 33% to 28% margin, and substantially less likely to have not completed high school than non-supporters (3% versus 12%), or to possess only a high school degree (26% versus 35%)…

On his current tour, Obama also inaccurately maligned former President Rutherford B. Hayes as disdainful of the telephone. As Mona Charen also noted this week, Obama also “told us that America invented the automobile and that John F. Kennedy had met with Nikita Kruschev when we were on the brink of nuclear war,” when in fact the automobile was invented in Germany and Kennedy actually met Kruschev one year prior to the Cuban Missile Crisis.

This is the same President who referred to “57 states,” misstated the Citizens United decision in an address to the nation, pronounced Navy “corpsman” as “corpse-man” and blatantly misrepresented that Japanese automobiles now average 45 miles per gallon to our 27.5 standard. I wander what we'll hear from the President tonight?

What I’d like to hear is Barack Obama resigning over Benghazi, the most extreme public mishandling of an attack on American personnel ever, certainly in my lifetime. If I (or most people) had been president and something like that happened on my (our) watch — and then I had lied about it myself while urging others to cover up — I would be so ashamed of myself I wouldn’t be able to come out in public.

But that’s not what happened. In fact, the reverse occurred. The president acted as if it was Mitt Romney’s fault for ever bringing the subject up. And he had a willing co-conspirator in the morally stunted Candy Crowley.

Obama’s outrage during the second debate even at being questioned on his response to the terrorist killings is one of the ugliest displays of narcissism I have ever witnessed from a politician and certainly the ugliest if you consider the ramifications of his behavior.

That the mainstream media ignored this reaction is a testament to their enduring pathology. Or perhaps to a secret longing for the divine right of kings.

Not only is the U.S. economy in shambles, violent crime is at an all-time high and new federal statistics show that 2011 saw the biggest increase in criminal activity in nearly two decades with a large boost in the rate of “violent victimizations” for whites.

The rate of violent crime increased by a whopping 17% last year, according to the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS), marking the biggest jump since 1993. Property crimes also went up 11% last year.

Under Obamunism, wealth is to be spread evenly. Not so violence:

There has been a large increase in the rate of violent victimizations for whites, Hispanics and younger people. That means white non-Hispanics and Hispanics experienced an increase in violent victimization rates, while the rate for black non-Hispanics was stable, according to the DOJ stats.

Field, it's another case of Amerrycans not seeing the forest because of all the trees. The Benghazi caper would be much less significant if an ambassador wasn’t among the dead. It would simply be a headline “4 Amerrycans killed”. As Ambassador, Chris Stevens more than anyone else was aware of the danger in the highly volatile situation in Benghazi. As the highest ranking U.S. official in Libya he simply should not have been in Benghazi at the time. If U.S. personnel had to be there, it should have been left to U.S. security/special forces not the Ambassador. Pragmatic generals never venture to an unstable battlefield front. That’s why in 236 years of history there have only been 6 ambassadors assassinated. If blame is to be placed it first must be placed on Stevens who adventurously put himself in harms way. Washington politicians don’t have the ballz to own up to this.

THE WORLD AWAKES WITH THE KILLING OF A WHITE MAN IN LIBYA

No one among the U. S. Black population cared (with the exception of Glen Ford, Larry Pinkney, Rep. Jesse Jackson and a few others) about the systematic persecution and lynching of thousands of black Libyans and African migrant workers by one of the thousands of militias that were armed by NATO, Obama and company, or the persecution of people who were allied with the former government, the tens of thousands of political prisoners arbitrarily detained, the murder of Muammar Gaddafi or the current siege of Bani Walid, that alerted the world to how much chaos has been unleashed in Libya. But the killing of a white man, the US ambassador. Mr. Stevens was reportedly sodomized and murdered by the same rebels he and Obama supported.

That chaos in Libya will be portrayed as something that is a result of the uncivilized nature of Libyans/Arabs/Muslims/Africans rather than what it really is…a result of the NATO war, supported by Obama with U. S. taxpayer's $$$$$ that destroyed the former Libyan government and with it the fabric that held the country together in a wider context of decades of western interference in the wider region.

Is Syria next?
