Intentionally clueless.

I got a lot of e-mails and tweets from folks wanting to know my opinion about this "accidental racist" song that Uncle L and some country singer decided to serenade us with.

While I appreciate the attempt to address the issue of race and our differences here in America (and yes, I know that the country singer has love for Obama, but that doesn't get him a pass in my book), I am sadly going to have to give thumbs down to these artists and call out this song for the bull s*** that it is.

Why would I give some dude a pass for wearing a confederate flag? You are not an "accidental racist", you are a f*****g racist! And someone besides his mama needs to knock out Uncle L for signing off on this crap. Please believe that some dude wouldn't be singing about wearing a shirt with a big fat swastika on the front and some Jewish rapper would be telling him that it's cool and he is just misunderstood. (BTW, Uncle L, I do not wear a big gold chain)

Loved this quote from someone calling themself "Censure" who posted comments under the article I linked.

"It is essentially Mr. Smith saying "You don't judge me for my innocuous chains and doo-rag and I won't judge you for sporting a symbol created to represent the battle to keep my people enslaved, which continues to be sported by card carrying racists today." It is essentially creating an offense on the part of black people in order to whitewash history, condone, permit, and assuage the guilty feelings of people that obviously don't care enough about the feelings of blacks that they continue to sport that flag. LL sounds like a battered wife excusing her husband's abuse because, "We both have our faults. I should have made sure dinner was done by the time he got home."

Where are Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder when you need them?

Maybe we should just take a break from this racism discussion thing for awhile.

Congrats to the Louisville Cardinals for winning the NCAA basketball championship last night. It will be interesting to see where Coach Pitino puts that tattoo. I have some suggestions, but I am sure that coach would like to put that episode behind him.

But all is not good in the state of Kentucky. (Thank you Mother Jones) Apparently the senior senator from that state was caught on tape with some of his "operatives" smearing a potential opponent and making fun of her mental illness.

Now, as is to be expected, the slimy senator is crying foul and playing the race card no less. When confronted about his actions he quickly said that liberals made fun of his wife's ethnicity and demanded an FBI investigation into the alleged "wire tap" of his campaign office.

Welcome to the new way of crisis management in America: attack the person responsible for allowing the rest of us to see that you are doing wrong.

Rutgers University is hoping that this tactic works for them. Eric Murdock, the whistle blower who exposed their ignorant Bobby Knight wannabe of a coach, is now being investigated for extortion.

"A person familiar with the FBI's probe told The Associated Press on Sunday that investigators are interested in Eric Murdock, who left his job as the men's basketball program's player development director last year and later provided the video to university officials and ESPN.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the inquiry has not been announced. The investigation was first reported last week by ESPN and The New York Times."

"Negro, I know you didn't just think we were going to give you close to a million dollars and allow you to just walk off into the sunset looking like a hero."

If Mr. Paisley wants to have a conversation about racism and bigotry, then he should sit down with Lady Antebellum and have a nice long talk with them about their name.

Brother Field, when are you going to STOP attacking and criticizing brothers who are helping to bring together Blacks and Whites. I can't think of a better way to do it than with a song.

BTW, didn't you also attack Phiily Mag for trying to bring Blacks and Whites together? It seems you are dead set on preventing any attempt that's good for the souls of Negroes and Whites.

However, I understand...You just don't want to support anything "positive" that might lead to the end of racism....it would destroy your 'purpose' in life, which is to chase the big R.

Brother Field, for a Negro, you are a very sad case. Pray that there is no God.

What ever happened to Constructive Feedback? He was the 'best'. Now FN is half the blog it used to be. Mr Field, please email CF and beg him to come back.

BTW, why haven't you acknowledged in your sidebar, Roger Ebert's death? Did you know he was married to a sister? Probably not.

Brother Field, I see Obama, your favorite President, has failed to keep his word to our country's veterans. Tell me Field, why do you love and trust a President like Obama who does not keep his word?

Everybody on FN is attacking LL, but say nothing about Uncle Jesse Lee Peterson who is in bed with FOX and Sean Hannity. Did you FN fans get that? Let me say it again because a lot of you FN Negroes need multi-blast hearing aides: "Jesse is in bed with FOX!"

Jesse said Negroes are no good, shiftless, and lazy--always looking to get free shit from America. Uncle JLP doesn't hold back when it comes to Negroes.

And you folks are busy talking about LL making a record with a white country and western singer who wears a Confederate flag on his shirt? GTFOH.

Field, you ought to quit. You will go on JLP's radio show in a NY minute to help promote this Tommin Negro. And you have the nerve to jump on LL? Get real, man.

Field, "Welcome to the new way of crisis management in America: attack the person responsible for allowing the rest of us to see that you are doing wrong."

Where do we draw the line regarding privacy? Mother Jones BUGGED the Senator's room! Is this legal and if so, are whistle blowers immune and protected for such tactics? There is something very 'wrong' with this picture.

The same goes for Rutgers U. The University as well as the coach should have the right to face the whistle blower and motives.

Field, I sometimes wonder about your claim to be a lawyer. Did you get your degree online from some obscure unknown college, or were you given a degree by some University to meet its affirmative action quotas? Either way, you don't think like a competent lawyer.

But then again, that's probably why you work for the city of Philadelphia instead of a private legal firm, isn't it? Now it all makes sense why you don't make sense as a lawyer. Regardless, I admire you as a skillful blogger with 'thick skin' who can get Negroes and Whites and Dems and Repubs bent out of shape over nothing. Hmmmm. maybe you are a lawyer?

However, PilotX is definitely not a Pilot; and Dr Nuwang is definitely not a holder of degrees and definitely not in Med school.

Forget about "accidental racists" and focus on actual admitted ones:

"Williams reportedly told investigators that he hated white people, and that was a partial reason for the crime."

    http://www.northescambia.com/2013/04/state-to-see-death-penalty-in-beating-burning-death-with-video

Real racism, not hurt feelings and affected offense-taking.

  14. It never ceases to amaze me the false equivalencies white people get away with.

Wearing a "big gold chain" is seen is at the racial equivalent of wearing a confederate flag t-shirt?

I suppose sagging pants must be the same as lynching white people.

  15. There are no surprises her. To me, LL is just another washed-up rapper validating his level of social unconsciousness. Hell, .... House Negroes of today ate no different than they were three hundred years ago. They are all given a script that they must attend to. If not, they're placed back in the field with Negroes who haven't forgotten what he did to make things even more difficult for them. Phukk U LL!

good question. i wonder about such bugging and whistle blowing too. the poor Senator was set up. at his age it must be quite hard on his heart and it must hurt his trusting wife very deeply. mother jones should be ashamed, and so should mr field.

My Sistah, the answer to your question is YES- wearing a big gold chain IS threatening to Whites. As a matter of fact, it's threatening to me as well, and I am Black.

This is the 21st Century and most bm wearing big-ass gold chains around their necks with rings on each finger are generally dangerous.

The prisons are full of bm who once wore big chains. However, you don't find many Whites in prison who once wore the Confederate flag T-shirts.

Don't get me wrong. I am not standing up for the Confederate flag but I am willing like LL to compromise in the interest of racial harmong, i.e, getting along in America.

Judging from some of the comments about LL and Brad Paisley, Blacks need a few lessons about their own racism instead of judging Whites and Blacks who want to understand each other from a positive-good point of view.

Some of y'all need to chill and find a new way of thinking. Change your miserable lives and learn to enjoy new and unique music that the Universe is handing you. Those two men worked real hard on this in order to bring better understanding among Blacks and Whites.

If the "potential opponent" had been lookin to buy a firearm you'd be on her ass in a jungle fever minute. FN, it sounds like your leftist cronies slipped a microphone in an illegal manner into that office room. I don't know about Kentucky, but in my state it's illegal to record a conversation without at least one party knowing it, in some states illegal without all parties knowing. Unless a judge is involved. Where did you get your law degree?

But, you're wasting your key strokes. Neither field, or any of the other genius negroes who frequent this blog will comment on that story. They'll just pretend they didn't see it.

They'd rather talk about some dumb rapper and country singer.

And if we are going to have a musical "discussion", we can do a lot better. I am a PWOC who enjoys country music, but what Mr. Paisley and Mr. J are perpetrating is not that good.

The Country & Western (C&W) release "Accidental Racist" wouldn't be shit without LL Cool J on the track, so this "song" is just designed to give a boost to LL Cool J's acting career. It is also a means to give a shot in the arm to Brad Paisley's sagging record sales in the C&W market. LL Cool J is looking to capitalize on his co-starring action figure role in the NCIS LA TV series. LL Cool J has his eyes on nailing down some Hollywood contracts as a high profile action figure similar to Dwane "the rock" Johnson's strong action figure career. LL may think that "the rock" may be getting a little "long in the tooth" for these roles, so he is stirring up a little "off topic" PR notoriety to let Hollywood know that he is ready and available. LL knows that in order to become a successful black action he has to have strong appeal among most of those NASCAR white fans and their children. Therefore LL J's "Song of the South" is no "Accident" ("Racial" or otherwise) as it was written to make the Hollywood executives keenly aware of his personal initiative in making such an obsequious gesture to this important white population demographic.

See? I told you none of these negroes, including field, would comment on this link. They just go "la, la, la" can't monkey see, hear, or do.

Talking abot racisme keeps the to preoccupied, I suppose. Even the failed Pilot X, or the bastard Queen, won't go near it, and explain just what is going on.

"Stange Fruits, FN"? Those fruits are white now. Mostly, white women. Why aren't the Feminists all over this trend?

Ya know..... I sometimes do wonder too what exactly are the professions/occupations of some of the commenters.

Because many of the comments are very well redacted and intelligent, so, no, I disagree that they come from hash slingers. Although maybe from restaurant owners is a possibility.

I do wish there were more of a face to the verbiage though. But then again fear is a factor I suppose.

The great thing about this blog though is that the majority of the comments aren't censored. And so one can see what the sentiments are and perhaps even surmise why.

    And that's a good thing:)
