The Field comes clean: An open letter to my readers.

Dear Field Hands and friends of the Field Negro:

It is with a heavy heart that I write you this letter.

I am forced to write it because it would appear that some of you have been right all along about his Oness and all the terrible things that he has done as our nation's 44th president.

Unfortunately, I let the president's race and the historical significance of his presidency cloud my better judgment.

I found myself defending him over and over again against attacks that I thought were unfair and were only directed at him because of his race.

I failed to look at the cold hard facts regarding his presidency and the things that he has done so far throughout his tenure.

Yes, I know that the DOW, Nasdaq, and the S&P 500 keeps chugging along at a record pace, that unemployment has been on a steady decline, and that the budget deficit is shrinking much faster than we expected; that home prices are rising, and, that according to the Fed Chairman, the economy is looking up.

I know that he has overhauled the food safety system, expanded the children's health insurance program (CHIP), advanced women's rights in the work place, and ended don't ask don't tell in the military. And I know that he has increased funding for veterans, and reversed the torture policies of the previous president.

I  know that he appointed two pro life women to the Supreme Court, signed into law a fair pay in the workplace bill for women, and that he passed the hate crimes bill and the fair sentencing act as well.

I am familiar with his  Obamacare (health care reform after five presidents failed), which, among other things, ended the practice of medical insurance companies denying medical claims for pre-existing medical conditions, and the fact that he signed an executive order which called for tougher emissions controls on automobiles.

Then there is that Osama Bin Laden fellow;  I think he killed him (not to mention many of his top lieutenants) , ended the war in Iraq as promised , and that he is withdrawing the troops in Afghanistan.

I also know that he bailed out and turned around the auto industry, and that he passed the stimulus plan when the country was on the brink of a total financial disaster. Oh, and he also recapitalized the banking system, kicked banks out of the federal student loan program,  and expanded Pell Grant spending.

But still,  I understand that in spite of these things, he pales in comparison (no pun intended) to the great presidents who came before him.

I should have recognized the obvious and not have been in the tank for this man.

I hope that you all will accept my sincerest apology.

Your humble servant,  the Field Negro.

I'm with you Field. I'm a registered Independent...don't care about donkeys & elephants. I'm disappointed the Prez hasn't take a greater interest in prosecuting those damned bankers that crashed our economy and continue to steal people's homes with forged documents but I also realize he is just one man. I'll take Obama over anybody from the GOP in a heart-beat. It's a nice change to have an adult man in the office vs. Baby Bush, The Lesser...

Field said, "I should have recognized the obvious and not have been in the tank for this man.

This was the best part of your letter, as I am sure many will agree. It shows your humility and soft side. As a Conservative I could hug you.:)

However, people would talk. Besides, I have a slight case of homophobia, which I hope to overcome before I die. At least, that is my goal...got to be clean before I go to see my maker.

Anyway, I am delighted that you are seeing things in real life our way. I'll see if an anonymous Conservative donation to your bank account can be approved. I'm sure Rush Limbaugh as well as Glenn Beck would like to participate.

How does that sound to you, Mr Field?

anon10:41p, I personally like 'this' part of Field's letter the best:

Unfortunately, I let the president's race and the historical significance of his presidency cloud my better judgment."

I like the way he snowed(no pun intended) his FN Negroes with Obama biased referenced links, but that was just politics. I mean, he had to cover himself on his own blog. Otherwise those crazy leftist Negroes would rebel right here on FN.

Very nice, Mr. Field. You almost had there for a minute.

While it's true the the President has made some great accomplishments, he has also continued many of the policies that have caused a lot of hostility toward the United States. Like killing innocent women and children via drone attacks. And, even killing at least one American citizen via drone attack.

He has also ignored any and all ethnic violence on the African continent, including Dafur, since in office.

And, not to beat a dead horse, but, there is also the fact that the President and his henchwoman Valerie Jarrett decided long ago that Negroes should be scene but not heard.

All in all, I think mainstream America, should be very happy with the President. I mean, he is a moderate Republican afterall, right.

And, about those Republican attacks on the President; if the Democrats where a little more like the Republicans then this country may have not gotten into the war in Iraq and the financial collapse may have been avoided.

The only other major party that has a chance to elect a president is batshit crazy so I guess for the time being we're stuck with the Republican-lite candidate from the Dems or the asshat the GOP nominates. Tough times.
Then again according to your always wrong (read:conservative) trolls Romney was going to win in an historic landslide so it wouldn't matter who I supported. Funny how they change their tunes so quickly. But anyhoo on another note, I'm doing pretty well under the current administration, a little help from congress by appointing a leader of the NLRB and things might get even better for the X man. See, what happens when you have a Dem in office he gets to appoint the majority of NLRB members who usually under said Dem are more labor friendly. Lesser of the two.

  17. My issues with President Obama:

    - Drone wars

    - Expanded warrantless wiretapping, Patriot Act expanded and not sunset as promised

    - His unnecessary crackdown on medical marijuana establishments and supporting making it harder to get prescription painkillers

    - Occupy protest encampments demolished using DHS and having the Occupy protestors labeled terrorists

    - Obama's personal determination to punish whistleblowers particularly but not limited to Assange and Manning

    - Obama's personal determination to fire anyone who he thinks the Republicans might say makes him look bad. He does not stand up for the people who support him most.

    - His own plans to cut the social safety net. Not as much as Republicans would like, but more than needbe if at all. Again, refusal to stand up for those who voted for him and their interests.

I feel these are legitimate issues I would like to see addressed by the Obama administation. They never will be because socialist, Kenyan, arrogant, uppity whargarble.

    Field.. ...

You wrote a very heartfelt piece...

Even in jest you really believe in this guy... LOL

I have to lighten up on you ...

I think if you look deeper into each one of his policies youll start to understand my frustrations...

I can tell U from first hand knowledge that the real estate market has been popped up for over 5 yrs now, and I cant discuss specifically how I'm privy to this knowledge...but its true.

Now this is why we have to analyze the things presented to us... Lets examine your statement...

"Yes, I know that the DOW, Nasdaq, and the S&P 500 keeps chugging along at a record pace, that unemployment has been on a steady decline, and that the budget deficit is shrinking much faster than we expected; that home prices are rising, and, that according to the Fed Chairman, the economy is looking up."

Now of course if your pumping 85 billion dollars a month of fiat currency into the market... It looks sound... They are ATTEMPTING to re inflate the very bubble that created the crisis...

WHY is that so difficult for you to understand???

Its late and I dont have the time to re analyze every one of your contrite postives that dont really amount to much of anything...

I will however just try and expound knowledge with you ...

I think its counter productive when I verbally lambast you over your views... Im going to use a different approach with you.

    We are brothers No??

I dont take kindly to the constant downgrading of our people on your blog, but I try to just address you ,because to argue with admitted racists is like trying to remove pee from a pool with a Mc Donalds Cup

I will just be posting links to give you better perspective from now on....

    Keep on postin brother.....

    Abstract

Despite their important implications for interpersonal behaviors and relations, cognitive abilities have been largely ignored as explanations of prejudice. We proposed and tested mediation models in which lower cognitive ability predicts greater prejudice, an effect mediated through the endorsement of right-wing ideologies (social conservatism, right-wing authoritarianism) and low levels of contact with out-groups. In an analysis of two large-scale, nationally representative United Kingdom data sets (N = 15,874), we found that lower general intelligence (g) in childhood predicts greater racism in adulthood, and this effect was largely mediated via conservative ideology. A secondary analysis of a U.S. data set confirmed a predictive effect of poor abstract-reasoning skills on antihomosexual prejudice, a relation partially mediated by both authoritarianism and low levels of intergroup contact. All analyses controlled for education and socioeconomic status. Our results suggest that cognitive abilities play a critical, albeit underappreciated, role in prejudice. Consequently, we recommend a heightened focus on cognitive ability in research on prejudice and a better integration of cognitive ability into prejudice models.

    YA Right Field
Keep up the satirical nonsense ! ITS A BLACK THANG and some will never GET IT! lmao

i was not able to get online in Cuba this time and i see i missed a lot;( .
i wanted to say thank you, for your frank, in ya face, honest and often hilarious attempts to provide us with info..i love you Bro

Ps i did teach you sumpin huh! lmfcao!

While in Cuba, i was advised by my son in Miami of the conviction of Dr Gosnell, and like i said earlier i knew it!
    However, check this out

Smirking? maybe was that so called smirk fear?
i have seen his facial expressions and perhaps the viewer was right however, i hope that that SMIRK did not play into the jurys decision.

At the IP yesterday we spoke about how and if any of us would/could defend him from death had it happened.
i raised my hand and said "if not us then who?
    To which i asked
Is this a case of wrongful imprisonment?
We will/may never know, my issue is this FN IF! what he did is truth then he reaps what he sowed..
As a defender of life, i am also a supporter of choice, so a woman who chooses to have a procedure called abortion is not an issue for me, that is between her an her creator.
.My issue with Gosnell the cruel and unusual manner which Gosnell allegedly performed his duties and according to the PA pros this was a cruel and unusual case

i will also submit that i was pleased with the way the Pros performed its duties albeit there were some issues i objected to as an Atty.(some witnesses)
While, in Cuba( abortion is avail on demand) we spoke about this case and as many believed he was CRUEL'
To Cubans its not so much the abortion rather la manera! AVE MARIA BENDITO!

On the other hand, my thoughts go beyond the ugly part of all of the allegations and to the women, the poverty, the choices made and what will come out of this case down the road.

Will this case be the catalyst for the USSCourt to overturn Roe vs Wade and send poor women( not white, light, or darn near bright wealthy women) back to the alleys?

Field, this presents a cunundrum for many who see the need to maintain Roe vs Wade and the pending harm which the lack of choice can and will present.

Moreover, i am simply glad to be a part of a huge extended family for which abortion is not an option

All errors are mine get over them!
    Smile! its a great day!

I had to stop here because unforunately you aren't well versed in economics.

The Fed Chairman is printing 85 billion a month. Have you noticed prices?

Stock Market - Do you understand Ponzi scheme? What happens when they stop printing? What happened prior to every crash ??????

Unemployment - sure Black unenemployment is the highest in history - yet you think taking near a million americans from the counting and artificially lowering the number is good.

Deficit is shrinking - Uh-huh. Taxes are the highest ever in history and 85 billion a month is being printed. Spending has increased and along with that so has DEBT. Think that through.

Housing bubble part II is here already. Don't confuse the ghost inventory banks are holding ,combined with the value loss of the dollar with housing increases.

Once the interest rate is no longer artificially held - Boom. And that has to happen soon.

Even Obama's successes that you list are failures.

"signed into law a fair pay in the workplace bill for women" = expanded the concept of disparate treatment under the law and collective punishment using the false premise that women are discriminated against in the workplace

"ended don't ask don't tell in the military" = social engineering that harms the effectiveness of the military (btw, he has reinstituted "don't ask, don't tell", except this time for Christians)

"appointed two pro life women to the Supreme Court" = both affirmative action hires without the intellect or integrity one would want on the court. One is a corrupt crony and the other an inveterate racist

"ended the practice of medical insurance companies denying medical claims for pre-existing medical conditions" = effectively ended the viability of the concept of health insurance, as this changes the contract from one of transfer of risk to transfer of obligation

"reversed the torture policies of the previous president" = ended the limited use of enhanced interrogation techniques that allowed us to get bin Laden.

"Then there is that Osama Bin Laden fellow; I think he killed him" = it was Seal Team 6 that did the job; Barry just ran out in front of the cameras and spiked the football.

"ended the war in Iraq as promised" = ended the war in Iraq as George Bush promised, exactly on the timetable Bush had set with the Iraqis

"he is withdrawing the troops in Afghanistan" = greatly expanded the war in Afghanistan, resulting in 75% of all American war dead under his watch

"signed an executive order which called for tougher emissions controls on automobiles" = a gutsy call that put the cost of new cars further beyond the reach of millions of Americans for a barely perceptible increase in air quality

"he bailed out and turned around the auto industry" = he bailed out the UAW while throwing salaried workers and legitimate creditors under the bus, and stuck the taxpayer with tens of billions in losses

"he passed the stimulus plan when the country was on the brink of a total financial disaster" = he blew a trillion dollars on government worker salaries and expanded entitlement spending that was supposed to go to "shovel ready" infrastructure projects

"he also recapitalized the banking system, kicked banks out of the federal student loan program, and expanded Pell Grant spending" = he transferred billions to the bankers and set us up for the implosion of an education bubble, as trillions in student loans will be defaulted on

Obama has been the greatest disaster to ever befall this country, but it that sense he has been a "success", because that's what he wanted to be all along.

  31. IRS Made Calculated Decision to Not Confess to Political Scandal Until After the 2012 Elections

If the organization is nonpartisan, and, as Obama always wants to remind us, "independent," why would Obama's electoral fortunes have weighed into their decision on whether or not to perpetuate a lie?

The IRS commissioner "has known for at least a year that this was going on," said Myers, "and that this had happened. And did he share any of that information with the White House? But even more importantly, Congress is going to ask him, why did you mislead us for an entire year? Members of Congress were saying conservatives are being targeted. What's going on here? The IRS denied it. Then when -- after these officials are briefed by the IG that this is going on, they don't disclose it. In fact, the commissioner sent a letter to Congress in September on this subject and did not reveal this. Imagine if we -- if you can -- what would have happened if this fact came out in September 2012, in the middle of a presidential election? The terrain would have looked very different."

They don;t, but even if they did it would be irrelevant.

I.Q. tests were designed to test the intelligence of 19th century middle-class white Austrians. They have no application to the modern world. The only thing they test is your ability to take I.q. tests. Nothing to do with intelligence.

The U.S. Army has done more I.Q. tests than any other organisation in the world. They find that white people are 15 points higher I.Q. than black people. However just changing the skin colour of the invigilator had a huge influence on the measured I.Q. Put a black man in charge of the test then suddenly black people tested better than whites. Also with a black invigilator black and white people from north of the Masson-Dixon line tested better than white and black people from south of the Mason-Dixon line. All of which goes to show that I.Q. tests are not worth the paper they are printed on.

The one legacy the "beige dude" will always be remembered for and which will obliterate any memories of the policies and achievements you name, and for which those of us who were rooting for O in the run up to his first election will always condemn,is:

"Whatever else is true, it is now beyond doubt that ending this war is the last thing on the mind of the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize winner and those who work at the highest levels of his administration.

The genius of America's endless war machine is that, learning from the unpleasantness of the Vietnam war protests, it has rendered the costs of war largely invisible. That is accomplished by heaping all of the fighting burden on a tiny and mostly economically marginalized faction of the population, by using sterile, mechanized instruments to deliver the violence, and by suppressing any real discussion in establishment media circles of America's innocent victims and the worldwide anti-American rage that generates."

  56. Great letter, Field. :-) Are you sure your detractors recognize satire when they see it?

Nordette, Whether detractors see Field's letter as 'satire' is uncertain. But you can be certain they see it as more Obama BS. For Blacks, the question is: What has Obama done for us? Are we better off today under his administration? Hell no.

Please note that NOWHERE in Field's so-called satire letter did he mention ANYTHING about that glaring neon sign. Obama has been the worst President EVER when it comes to the conditions blacks are in.

No matter how Field tries to prop up Obama the evidence, the FACTS speak for themselves. For us Blacks we could give a damn about satire. We are in an all-time economic financial free fall.

And, there is NOTHING funny about that!

  58. You failed to mention Obama's increase use of predatory drones from 54 during the 8 years of the Bush administration to over 300 during the first 3 years of the Obama administration..or the resulting deaths of over 3000 innocent civilians including over 300 children..or the support of the NATO illegal invasion of Libya..and the murder of a reported 50,000 Libyans and the ensuring targeting of Black Libyans and African immigrants for ethnic cleansing.

LOL @ Grown ass men and women arguing over what Obama has or has not done for " Black folks" when there are at least 220 million other non Black folks in the equation. LOL @ Black and White people alike arguing either aspect of such a frivolous topic.

You do realize that a White president can do more for Black people than a Black president can ? As he or she would potentially would be with out burden or fear of "partiality" and favoritism despite histories proof that the opposite has gone on since the conception of these here ole United States but I digress. LOL @ White rage blinded/fueled by its own disconnected arrogance.

Unfortunately it appears some readers are unaware that- ultimately, anything Obama does/does not do needs the defacto " White Man's validation" I say this primarily because the bulk of his detractors have been almost exclusively White and male regardless of their level of education or (medication) dosage.
You do realize that any effort he makes to help any one whom is neither rich/jewish/white is stymied and met with both a unique and unprecedented level of infantile hostility ?

I do find it particularly funny that some of White America has lurched about out of their slumber/stupor to find that the Good ole U.S. of A(ssholes) pries and prods at its own citizens privacy. How can you still be shocked @ anything a country does when it is very foundation is deeply rooted in immorality and hypocrisy ? For those of you whom wish to cope living under the ubiquitous brown eye of "Big Brother" ask MLK and the Black Panthers ( Legit Black Panthers not the new jerkoffs)how it feels. MLK was a peace/woman loving pacifist and even he was deemed a threat. Seems like chasing that ignorance w/ "bliss" was not so prudent after all.
