Once upon a time, China was, indeed, engaged in manipulating its currency to keep it below where it ought to be valued and make it their exports more competitive. But they'd already knocked off this practice long before Trump ever ran for office.
Naturally, this was not reflected in his rhetoric, because he wanted to use the false currency manipulation claim as part of the "China is screwing us!!!" theme of his campaign. Facts don't matter at all to our current president. If his lips are moving, he's lying, as the expression goes.
Now that he's bamboozled the economically illiterate chumps into electing him, he can drop that particular lie. But he'll just move on to others, as needed.
Also, keep your eye on Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, the only Attorney Genersl we have right now. It's full steam ahead on voter suppression and open season on black and brown citizens.

So not only is lots of federal cash being blown on Melania staying in New York and inconveniencing NYC's residents with the logistics of protecting her, but Trump is actually profiting from that same wasteful expenditure.
How annoying that everything about this White House, from Melania's NYC residency to the president's constant trips to Mar-a-Lago, involves the taxpayer being hit with a luxury price tag for the shitty, dollar-store quality of the services Trump is providing to the nation.
